Superb performance
July 24, 2016
We replaced a Sony 32" Bravia (720p) that cost over $ 700.00 six or seven years ago. This TV weighs maybe 15 lb. compared to the Sony which was 50 lb. or more. The Samsung has a better picture, built in WiFi, and reasonably good sound. The picture quality is excellent and the colors are vibrant and lifelike. In my experience Samsung makes excellent products which are durable as well. My only complaint is the stand (?) that is supplied. There are two silver colored plastic "feet" that screw into the bottom of the TV. They are designed so that they can only be mounted one way, and as a result they actually extend beyond the edges of the TV screen, causing you to need a very wide mounting platform (more than the 29" width of the TV). You would need a table top at least 32" wide to stand this TV on. We wall mounted ours, so that was not a problem, but be aware that you need a wide space to stand it on. Also, as light as the TV is, tipping or knocking it over could be a problem with big pets or little kids. The mounting feet give NO stability at all. Samsung should modify the stand to fit under the center of the TV and be larger to give the TV more stability and a smaller footprint on a table. The WiFi works very well, but the input thru the supplied remote is slow and tiresome. Be sure to Bookmark your favorite websites to cut down on the time required to input web addresses. Otherwise we are VERY happy with the TV and are glad we have it.
I love the size of this tv
March 2, 2016
Before I bought this tv, i did lots of research to see what would be the right tv for me and for the right price. I love the size of this tv, it allows me to watch with great quality. I also love the smart tv aspect of it, i am able to binge watch all of my netflix shows, and I can also downloads 'apps' like pandora and the game snake. i would highly recommend this tv for someone else
Good buy for our bedroom! Beautiful Picture!
December 27, 2015
Love it for the price. Stunningly crisp picture. Use for bedroom and even the sound is good for movies and gaming. My husband uses it for his PS4 but uses a cable as he says it doesn't lag for certain games. Note you can't use Apple TV with it or use Apple AirPlay. However it has Netflix, YouTube, HBO Go and Amazon in the app section plus others ...which for our bedroom is fine. I think it functions with the Android but read specs. No lag at all in streaming videos from any sites so far. You have to get used to the arrow pointer without a mouse but once you get the feel it isn't a problem. Since We are a primarily an apple family probably wouldn't use for main TV in media room but that is just a personal preference.
Smart TV is a GREAT Choice!
December 10, 2015
This was a great price and I'm very, very happy with my decision to purchase a smart TV. If you're on the fence, spend the extra dollars for the smart hub. You will not be sorry. The options to watch Amazon Prime TV shows and movies as I am a prime customer are wonderful and you also get Netflix and internet browser. I'm thrilled with my purchase!
Best quality I ever soon in a smart TV at this price point.
August 27, 2015
I got this Tv for Mom, but I held on to it for a few weeks to get familiar with all the features, so that I can help her get the most out of the smart TV. It works great, the color and clarity are amazing. Love not having to depend on the high cost of cable TV. Wish I would have done it sooner. Will be getting another in a few weeks for me. Great product at a reasonable price.
The TV is supported just fine. Switching between cable/netfix/hulu/and internet is a breeze.
May 25, 2015
I bought this TV before there was any feedback and found the negative feedback before it was delivered. I must admit that, based on the prior feedback, I was concerned about the feet as I tried to assemble the TV. They seemed very flimsy, at first. However, it was not until I had fully screwed in the feet that I realized they were more than ample to support the television. In fact, the TV is quite secure. Yes, the feet are plastic, but the TV is very light and it does not require very much support at all. The picture is perfect. The sound quality is great. I am delighted with how easy it is to navigate between cable/netflix/hulu/internet. It was a great buy and I am very pleased.Additionally, be smart and don't be influenced by reviews from people who are not "verified" purchasers of the product.

March 14, 2016
Love it! Some people mentioned that the sound is low...I would disagree for the most part. However, we did have to turn it up close to the limit while watching a redbox movie on the playstation. Other than that, the sound quality and the picture quality are both good.

UPDATE:
Still same thoughts on the sound quality, but I would like to gripe about the remote. While the remote/tv respond really well while the tv is on it has a hard time turning the tv on. You have to push the button multiple times to get it to turn on. No amount of distance, angle, or anything can get it to respond in a single button push with the remote.
) Iwatch a lot of Netflix
March 6, 2016
You get what you pay for. The price is lower compared to other TV's because it lacking in some areas. Of course you've read from numerous other reviews that this does not have audio outs. (Which means you could not hook up speakers directly to the TV.)

I watch a lot of Netflix, but the same could be said for people who watch HBO or other shows from websites, so I only planned on hooking up the TV to my computer, which is near where the TV sits. So when I feel like watching Netflix I just switch the input to HDMI and enjoy the 1080p 43" screen from the comfort of my bed.

Because I hook up the TV to my computer, I can use the audio outputs on my computer. If I wanted I could wire some speakers, or wear some headphones, most would probably prefer the speakers though. When I read reviews a lot of people said the audio was sub-par, but I'd say it's on par with other popular models. I had no issues with the built in speakers.

Notes:
- Great Picture
- Adequate Sound
- The stock power cord is very short, I'd say less than or equal to 6 feet. So if you have to go longer than that you'll need an extension chord.
- The legs screw in with screws that come with the TV, and are very sturdy. They also have rubber feet on the bottom. I tried wiggling the TV and it felt like it wasn't going to move an inch.
- Note that that legs are on each end of the TV, so you'll need a surface wide enough for them. It could also be wall mounted, but it does not come with any form of wall mount.
- Basic remote (came with batteries! [AAA])

All in all, if you're looking for something to watch the game on with huge speakers in your living room, this probably isn't what you're looking for. If you're looking for a large screen for the bedroom and you watch a lot of netflix I highly reccomend this, as the price is unbeatable!
Awesome TV plug your soundbar in to your direct tv cable box optical outlet and the sound rocks
March 4, 2016
This TV is fantastic great picture sound is ok but for the price and quality it's a great buy. I see a lot of people complain that there is no optical outlet well it says right under the description that it does not have one so maybe people need to pay more attention when purchasing something. I bought a sound bar and plugged it in to my Direct TV optical outlet on my Genie and it works just great - sound is amazing.
Life IS Better with this LG Television
February 22, 2016
I bought this television to place in my living room to sit on top of a corner unit tv stand. It fits perfect in the corner. I did not want a large tv to take over my living room, I feel this area is reserved for conversation and interacting with guests, etc. the television shows beautiful and although 4K is available and I have a couple of them... this one seems to have a better quality picture (they are a different brand). So based on picture quality, I give this high ratings; it also has great sound. It was a super value so I highly recommend this television.
bright, sharp picture. was not compatible with my tv stand bracket.
February 12, 2016
it is a simple tv. only two HDMI inputs, one component input, and one coax. no audio outputs. it worked out perfectly for me because thats what i was looking for; have my cable box plugged into one hdmi, and my gaming system on the other one. no need for a smart tv or dvd input because the gaming system covers all of that. the tv is very nice-light weight, the display is very bright and very sharp. you can make adjustments in the menu to the picture if you need to. the audio doesnt sound as...'full' as my previous tv, but you can make adjustments in the menu. the one snag i did run into is that i needed to modify my tv stand mount brackets to accommodate my new tv..

Good for the money, if you can shut off the CE Dimming feature
July 3, 2017
Didn't like it connected to the DP (display port connection) of my HP desktop because of the annoying Samsung CE Dimming (auto dimming feature) that manifests itself in all picture modes except Movie and PC mode. Then I learned I could eliminate the auto dimming by using this DP to hdmi adapter:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013JZB6O6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1So, make sure you can find a way to get around the CE Dimming (which drastically darkens images that are already predominately dark or that have few objects on screen) or you may find this tv to be almost unwatchable.
Good TV For The Price
April 25, 2017
So far so good. I think its a great picture and TV for the price. My only two beefs with it are this. 1st the legs are plastic and feel like they could break at any moment when your moving it. 2nd when you first turn it on, you have to wait 2-4 minutes roughly for the internet connection. This is a small beef but still a little frustrating when I just want to turn it on and get it going, I guess am a little impatient.
Very good TV.
September 26, 2016
I really like this TV. Good picture and the built in sound is better than most but I still run in through my stereo system most of the time. The smart TV hub us a little clunky to navigate and slow but works. It did not have an app for Amazon Prime music so I also purchased an Amazon TV stick so I could get that. In getting the stick I use is most of the time as it is faster than the TV's "smart" hub. Over all I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

February 18, 2016
So far so good! I like the features of the TV and it was pretty decently priced for the size. Only small complaint is the sound isn't as loud as what my old TV was.....I'm sure you could solve that problem easily with a sound bar or speakers but for us, that isn't an option right now due to finances. Overall a great TV
BEWARE OF MISSING AUDIO OUTPUT JACKS
January 23, 2016
Being hearing impaired and using wireless earphones I was disappointed to find thatSamsung was too cheap to keep the RCA audio output jacks on this model. Now I have to buy separate speakers and a digital audio toslink cable and receiver to get my earphones working. The TV does not allow the internal speakers to work in conjunction with the digital audio output. I'ts either 1 or the other.Just a bit stupid as far as engineering goes. One thing is picture quality is great but I'll be sure next time to check the outout ports.
Good, Modest TV with Some Weaknesses
December 13, 2015
After a few months using this TV, I feel I should re-do this review. The good:--------------It works well once it gets going. The image is clear (it's 1080p, whatever the pretentious reviews say, 1080p is pretty much the same everywhere), and I stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube on it via its apps without much trouble. I also have an antenna hooked up and it pulls in many channels and has a number of built-in features that help me use broadcast. This TV also greatly simplified my home theater setup by becoming a single hub for everything I do with it, compared to my old non-smart TV.The Bad:---------------The TV doesn't seem to always play nice with my (admittedly outdated) router, requiring power cycling the router several times a week.-Samsung support can remotely access the TV to do fixes, but the only fix they really know is to factory reset it, forcing you to go through the lengthy initial setup routine. The Netflix help desk was the one that solved the issue.-Its browser is absolutely useless. I tried to stream the debate on CNN...it could barely load the CNN home page, after a painful process to enter the URL in the first place, then when it did start streaming it was sometimes in the background and I couldn't get it to switch the image back and forth.-The Screen Mirroring works about one in fifty attempts (I have an S5). Its samsung-to-samsung, it *should* link up without any trouble. The Ugly:---------------A smart TV is basically a laptop with a very big screen and no keyboard (it has features to support a wireless keyboard and mouse, but I fail to see the point given its terrible browser). Presumably to save standby power, "off" turns everything off, and when you turn it on again it has to go through a bootup process of about 3-5 minutes. During this time, broadcast works fine, and you can see your apps, but you can't open any. I assume this wouldn't have been an issue if I bought a more expensive TV that advertises its processor.-Also, it has all the makings of a DVR for broadcast (except for raw storage) but doesn't do it. I think that's a lost opportunity for Samsung, another feature but for some programming they could advertise.-There are a lot of additional features of dubious effectiveness or use.

Good TV, just know what you're buying. No audio out and 2 HDMI ports + one component input.
April 25, 2016
It works, it has NO audio out port or any way to do audio out, so you'll have to use audio out directly from your other media players if you have a sound system.. Interestingly, it has component video input so I can hook up my original nintendo wii to it (which are not the default cables that the wii comes with).
It also only has 2 HDMI ports. I guess they figure that if you do have a modern receiver, you can use the HDMI ports built into it. I have an older receiver so I bought a cheap HDMI splitter which does the job for now.
The stand doesn't lift the TV very high off your entertainment center. This is only an issue for me because we have a child gate. I tried putting things underneath it to prop it up, but I decided to live with the gate blocking part of the picture. Hopefully we won't need the gate for that much longer.
I'll see how this lasts over the years, but it was a very affordable TV. If they added a simple 3.5mm audio out jack, I'd consider giving them 5/5
Great entry-level mid-size television.
February 24, 2016
My 37" Vizio that was 7 years old started having HDMI issues recently that would cause the Uverse box and my Fire TV to not be able to detect the television while watching things, the last straw was buying a Playstation 4 and it being unable to detect a signal every day or so which prevents it from turning on so I started looking for 'cheap' tv's to replace it.

This LG Electronics 43LF5400 43-Inch is cheaper than the original purchase price of my previous television and 6 inches larger, it has a considerably slimmer border/frame, displays a beautiful 1080p image from my Baraka bl-uray and from 1080p content on my Playstation 4. It's a great 'budget level' television.

My only complaint is, 2 HDMI ports. I have a Uverse (cable) receiver, a Fire TV and a Playstation 4 which all use HDMI. It seems the vast majority of televisions 35 inches or larger only have 2 HDMI ports until you get north of 400-500$ MSRP... which means I had to buy an HDMI switcher and have yet another remote. I'd honestly rather have them ditch component for a 3rd HDMI port as just about everything uses HDMI in 2016.
All in all, this is a great TV for the money.
February 13, 2016
I chose the 43" version. This TV will work with all voltages and 50/60hz which was a make or break decision for me. The TV itself looks great, and the speakers sound pretty great considering it is an LED TV. My previous Samsung 32" LED TV had speakers that sounded like pure garbage compared to this one. It was cheap so I couldn't complain at the time. I have it hooked up to a computer via HDMI and it can auto-detect the best resolution if you tell it to which is a nice feature. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is that the remote that came with it(standard LG remote) is faulty. If you point the infrared light at the end of the remote into a camera and view it from the screen, you can tell that the remote is sending a "flickering" signal instead of a solid signal. I have another LG TV and have confirmed the other remote doesn't do this. The remote still works, it is just difficult to turn on the TV with it. BUT, if I had to buy this TV again, even if the remote was again faulty, I'd still do it for the amazing price.
Great Value but some limitations
February 3, 2016
Easy to set up. Great picture quality, size is just right for my basement "man-cave". Sound quality for a TV is OK. The only disappointment is that I was not able to find ANY way to directly connect an external sound amplification source. I was hoping for an eirphone jack or rca audio output to connect to my external amplifier and get big sound. I'm using it with my Apple TV and which is equipped with an optical audio output. Had to order an optical to analog converter to address this situation.
... research led me to believe that it has a good receiver and it does
January 4, 2016
I got this TV because I use an over the air antenna and my research led me to believe that it has a good receiver and it does. I get channels my Vizio doesn't get so I'm really stoked with this TV. The picture is sharp and beautiful. I didn't give it 5 stars because the program guide doesn't show what programs are coming, only what's on now. Also, there seems to be light emitting from the edge of the TV. You don't notice it when you're watching TV that fills the screen but when you watch a movie and there's a top and bottom black boarder, that's when you notice it. There's a bright spot in the lower right corner that is a little distracting. Other than that, I love it.

Not worth it, even for the price
June 26, 2017
I would not recommend buying this Samsung Smart TV. You come out so much better just buying a good quality flat screen and then purchasing an Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick for your streaming. Samsung limits you to their app store which is minuscule compared to Amazon's. My TV also came pre-loaded with HBO Go but the app doesn't work. I contacted both HBO and Samsung and they blamed it on one another. I finally just hooked a Fire TV up to this Samsung so that I could stream anything my heart desired.
The apps are SO slow compared to other options like game consoles or media sticks. Buy a bigger dumb tv instead.
January 23, 2017
I really, really wish I had chosen a dumb tv. The apps are so not worth it. I have had the XBox 360 and PS4 and the Netflix/Amazon Video/YouTube apps on those are so much faster. SO much faster. I should have got a 55" dumb tv for the same price and then bought a Chromecast or Fire Stick, or hooked up my old XBox 360. I strongly recommend you get a dumb tv with some kind of media device attached to it rather than relying on smart tv apps.
Buy a Sound Bar with this TV
January 11, 2017
The picture is fine but it has the worst sound I have ever heard on a TV. I have had several Samsung TV's and have never had a complaint like this. You can't adjust the bass or treble, and there is no Surround Sound imitation like I've had on my other Samsung's. I guess they now expect you to buy a sound bar. or some other device, which is what I'm going to have to do, because the sound on this thing is unbearable.
TV is OK. You'd be better off getting a Fire Stick than using the smarts of this TV
September 19, 2016
I very rarely post reviews, and rarely so soon after using a product (just used it for a few hours today) but I thought I'd at least make a note of my thoughts over time. The set up was pretty smooth, and since I don't have an aerial I went straight to the smart apps. I was able to get Netflix up and running pretty promptly, although the Netflix app was fairly sluggish. I managed to watch an episode without a hitch. Picture quality is pretty good, but the text is not extremely sharp. As I say in the headline of the review though, the Smart TV experience was disappointing as I expected it to work a bit more smoothly than a Fire TV stick I bought a few years ago, which it doesn't.I was very disappointed with the YouTube app though - it didn't work at all on the first boot. After I restarted the TV it worked, but I couldn't stream from my device, so this was disappointing.More to follow, especially with my experience of using it as a monitor for my macbook pro
Great TV, Bad Smart Features
January 17, 2016
I have owned and used this TV for about a month now. The picture and sound quality are very good, and overall it is an attractive unit. It was easy to install (I wall-mounted it; it's very lightweight) and set up. Best of all it was an excellent value. I would rate the TV itself 5/5.However, the SmartHub features are almost useless. It takes a long time for the SmartHub to open, and it was impossible to stream Netflix—the video buffered every few seconds, and never fully loaded. It was impossible to watch video. When I exited Netflix, the TV would become unresponsive to the remote and took a long time to turn off. After troubleshooting, it was obvious that the problem was with the TV and not Netflix or my internet service. This is a known problem with these units, and another reviewer on Amazon offered a solution—to disable the security feature on the TV, and auto updates for the apps. This allowed video to quickly load and play, but it had to be done every time before watching videos. My solution was to invest in a Google Chromecast, which I absolutely love. It works so much better than SmartHub, and I like to use my phone or tablet as the remote.Between the excellent TV and horrible smart features, I would give this TV a 3/5. If you're willing to purchase Chromecast or a similar device, I recommend it, but if you want to use the smart features right out of the box, consider a different unit.
Not a bad TV.. Great for the price.
January 5, 2016
Overall I like it. I does have all the smart TV features I wanted. What I don't like though is something that seems almost unbelievable to me. You can't to a free text search in their app store. So you have to scroll around the categories to try and find an app. What's also frustrating, is the smart hub is not very intuitive. Picture is great.. the small-ish border is nice, sound is ok. It does have netflix, amazon prime, hbo go, hulu, youtube. I probably would have gotten an LG had I not heard about Samsung's interface being good. Which it's not great in my opinion.

I bought this to replace a 32" TV in a limited space environment. The lack of a large bezel meant it fit perfectly. The picture quality is very good, but it suffers from low volume and there is no output for external speakers, nor bluetooth. I can play the audio through my home theater via the HDMI cable, but I don't always want a 7.1 system on.
Also, after only three months, the led screen went bad. LG repaired it under warranty, but being without TV fro three weeks was a pain. Fortunately my DVR records whether a TV's connected to it or not, so I didn't miss out on most of my favorite shows. It has been working perfectly since the repair, but truthfully, I keep waiting for it to break again.
Beautiful TV .........with poor sound
January 30, 2016
Very nice TV but hard to turn on with the remote control for some reason. Also has crappy sound. What I like is the very nice design of the frame and stand. It looks like a much more expensive TV than it is, and goes great with very modern furniture. It is a VERY nice looking TV.

Actually I think they've upgraded the sound system and made some other improvements on the new model that I could have purchased for a few $ more, but it doesn't look as nice as this one. I guess that says a lot for my priorities.
Picture OK-- sound is the pitts
December 17, 2015
The picture is very good but the sound is quite weak. At first I thought it was bought at a good price-- but not now. I have to be sitting close to the TV and there be minimal extraneous noises to be able to adequately hear it at maximum volume. I bought external speakers to use -- but there are no outputs for external speakers. The existing RCA jacks do not support output audio signals. The supplied owners manual only specifically describes other LG models-- not this 43LF5400 model. I was only able to discover why my newly purchased external speakers would not work by going to other owner reviews. Other reviewers have offered expensive and convoluted remedies for the sound problem, but why go to the trouble?

This 43" looks bigger than I expected it to be. The TV leg stands were easy to install. But the biggest drawback is sound: on this TV, am the sound is just terrible! Picture quality is good but "vivid" mode really messes the picture big time so I just stick to Game mode. For $300, I expected a little more but I'm keeping it.

UPDATE (5/21/16): It's been little over 5 months since I had this TV and it's been great so far. Vivid mode looks better when sitting further away. Sound still sucks but I got my own 5.1 surround sound.

Believe the negative reviews......."preparing the TV" WTF???
January 27, 2016
Believe the bad reviews. The TV takes forever to turn on. It might as well not be a smart TV. I had to also buy a roku to stream. This is either a fake, or a dud.
A Real Samsung Fail
January 3, 2016
Both engineering and unit-specific problems with this TV.On the engineering side, the "Smart Hub" takes about five minutes to boot up. So if you want to watch Netflix or other internet TV, you have to turn the TV on and then go do something else for five mins. Also, the Netflix app is flaky, sometimes not working at all, just "buffering" constantly. Amazon Video app works fine, though, so I know it's not the internet connection. Many other reviewers have noticed both of these problems, so clearly they are not specific to this particularly unit. I purchased a Roku to get around this problem raising the price of the TV another $70.On the unit-specific side, my TV has a black splotch at the bottom of the screen, as well as a vertical row of dead pixels about a fifth of the way across, so clearly there was a production problem of some kind with my unit. Will have to send it back for warranty repair, unfortunately.Cannot recommend this TV. First flat panel TV I have had with problems ever.
Not So Smart Purchase.
December 14, 2015
If you are getting this as simply a TV the setup and display runs well although it does truncate some images. If you are getting this as a web enabled TV. Look for another TV. The user interface l is not very intuitive and things are hidden. Just try loading an app. The screen keyboard and moving arrow takes a little getting used to and you may even get to a word a minute. The support pages are just as cumbersome . Very aggrevating even if you just need a simple answer.
not the quality i expect from samsung
December 8, 2015
not bad for price, but speakers have slight vibration at mid- high volume. the netflix app doesnt always open. sometimes have to open browser then netflix. also samsung smart tvs have issues with vevo app fully functioning. outside of these its not a bad product.update: i removed the rca cords so i can wall mount it. the video prong came right off with the cord. hdmi is my only option now. i was switching to it anyway or else i would've returned it. i love samsung, but they are eing made cheaper every day.

Very Dissatisfied Customer
May 25, 2016
I purchased this 43" TV 11-28-15, it was delivered 12-2-15. By 5-2-15 I had sound, but no picture. Tried all the troubleshooting possible, but ended up calling LG Service on a Mon., said someone would be out on Sat. I had explained exactly what the problem was, figuring they would be better prepared to take care of the problem. The guy came but said he didn't have all the parts. So then I find out that the part needs to be ordered and it's going to be 3 weeks before it's available. I was not happy as I'd already been without it for a week. I called Customer service, spoke with a supervisor, who was very cold, rude and without even an apology or a sorry for the situation. I looked and found they have had more than one of these complaints on this model, which tells me something. They should be ready for repairs in a more timely fashion or replace it if you are under warranty. Now it is past 3 weeks and here I am, still unhappy and no TV. They have lost an LG customer.

Aspect ratio while streaming poor and seemingly unfixable
July 19, 2016
So far I can't give this more than one star. We don't have cable, antenna, or dish. Just streaming and sling TV. Everything looks great until we go to stream a show and then the aspect ratio is a tiny cube in the lower left hand corner. When going into the menu and trying to fix the picture ratio, it says "it's not an option." We've done all the troubleshooting in the manual including resetting to factory settings, updating to the newest software, changing the DLS to the correct number and it still doesn't work. My boyfriend is so upset he can't speak right now. For $300 this is proving to be one of the worst buys we've ever done.I would gladly update this review if there were a way to fix the problem, otherwise I'm sending this right back and expecting a full refund.

Pros:- Nice tv picture quality. That's where it ends.Cons:- Significant delay with basic tv/remote functions including power, volume, menu settings- Volume had to be up to 80 (?!) to be able to hear throughout the room- SmartTV took a good 5 minutes to connect to the internet, so don't plan on streaming anything right after turning on. Would get the message "Preparing TV check back later"- Netflix and other apps were constantly crashing the Smart TV software in the middle of a show (software was up to date)- Significant remote delays in all Smart TV functions - trying to get back to the menu, in between shows, pausing shows, etc.- The glossy frame created circular patterns of dust, very noticeable, even wiping off daily - very annoying and unattractive
Loads too slow.

I purchased because of the brand in hopes of getting a quality product. The picture and sound is good but the system lacks speed. It takes 5 mins to load ANY button you hit on the remote. Smart Hub, Source, Menu, Guide, Tools, Volume, Chanel it doesn't matter. The delay is like using a dial up computer, so frustrating! I can't even watch nexflix from the smart hub, it loads every 2 seconds. I confirmed it was not my internet connection because I was able to mirror with my Samsung phone and stream from my phone wifi to watch. My TV received is clearly defective.
This was a great TV, for 2 days after it was opened
December 29, 2015
This was a great TV, for 2 days after it was opened. It then decided to fail spectacularly and began bleeding colors in the form of vertical colored green, blue, red, and white lines.. I ordered a replacement and am crossing my fingers this doesn't happen again after the warranty period is done. The smart tv features were a little slow but they worked and the picture was pretty good. But this 1 star review will remain until I get a replacement and it prooves to me that it can work for a month or two.My 50 inch samsung plasma tv is 5.5 years old and still going strong and this one lasted only 48 hours. Disappointed.
30secs to reaspond to any press of remote button
December 12, 2015
I bought this TV to mainly use it with Netflix. It has been a frustration. The tv takes at least 30 sec to respond to any press of the remote and half the time it cannt process the Netflix stream fast enough! It is a huge disappointment. If I let the tv warm up then it works well enough to respond within 20seconds.I will request a replacement and if works better I'll update my rating. On another note which delivery service in their right mind drop a tv off the front porch and leave? I was IN THE HOUSE and they didn't even ring the doorbell!

The TV won't turn on. I have to hit the remote like 10 times. Some days I can't get it to come on at all and there is no power button on the tv.

Don't buy this TV!! Only had 4 months and half the screen went black. Their customer service is a joke. Can't understand them and then the 1st repair location make me bring in tv then after 2 weeks when I called they said they were not going to do work because LG reimbursement for them sucks. Had to drive over an hour round trip to pick up TV then call and be on hold for another hour to get another shop who came out and said they wouldn't fix because the screen was damaged. Was not damaged when dropped off at 1st shop. Another hour on hold to be told in broken English sorry you are out of luck. Can't stress enough how much I hate LG now.
NO AUDIO OUTPUTS!
August 23, 2016
This tv has NO AUDIO OUTPUTS!!! None...! beware... I bought it for price, assuming that I would be able to hook it up to an external audio system. The speakers built in to the unit are terrible...
Headaches Galore!

Pros: Looks sharp, the silver finish around the screen is nice looking and a little different than the normal black TV's everyone has.
Cons: Everything else. From the day we got the TV it always took two presses of the power button to get it to turn on but I overlooked this as a minor inconvenience not worth returning the product over. Then in March (approx 3 months after purchase) it stopped working. First it would turn on but receive no signal from anything connected to it, then lines started to appear on the screen, then it stopped powering on altogether. I called LG customer service who sent a technician to my house (Valley TV Repair) and the technician was friendly, polite, and explained the repair (TV needed a new motherboard). After the repair the TV worked fine, but the two presses of the power button to turn it on was still occurring. Again, I overlooked it as everything else seemed to be functioning. Now it's May and we're back to the same problem. No matter what I connect to the TV through HDMI ports it is not receiving any kind of signal. Again, I called LG customer service and explained that I would really like a refund or replacement product as the TV is obviously faulty but they will not provide that until a technician has deemed the TV unrepairable. So here I am waiting on Valley TV to come to my house and repair the TV again. I only hope the technician will tell LG it's a faulty product so I can replace it with a TV that actually works. The other TV in my house is a Sharp AQUOS 55" and it has functioned flawlessly and the picture is great. If I can get a refund for this LG a Sharp will be the replacement.
Broken after 5 months and Service Center is a joke
May 13, 2016
Purchased the TV in December and it broke in April. The TV wouldn't power up so we called LG and they sent out a technician who took the TV for a week. When the technician returned the TV it would power up but it had no HD capability. I have now been dealing with LG service center after the 2nd technician they sent out could not fix the issue. First the product shouldn't break less than 6 months after purchase. Second the technicians that LG contracts should provide better service and have more expertise. Third, once two technicians cannot fix the TV then LG needs to replace the broken product. It has been three weeks since the initial call to LG and we are still with a broken LG TV. BTW when you call LG service center you will be talking to someone in the Philippines that is very good at sticking to their script. God forbid you want a real answer. I finally received the number to the LG executive service center and they are trying to figure out how they can fix this problem. It doesn't seem too complicated to me, when your product is faulty and you cannot fix it then you replace it. I am hoping that they reimburse me what I paid so I can go with another brand.
