Not hard to mount at all/Great choice for college dorm room!
July 27, 2015
I almost didn't buy this TV based on a couple of reviewers saying how hard it was to mount. But I took a risk because its the only TV I could find (including Sony, Sharp, and Visio) that fit our application (college dorm room) that wasn't also a smart TV. I am very glad I ignored the naysayers and I couldn't be happier with this TV. It has a great picture and it works with Cable TV (dorm room) and the Razor Laptop my son is taking to college (on any of the HDMI ports).

It may be that the mount I chose turned out to be perfect. If you are looking for a surface mount for this TV instead of the little feet it comes with, take a look at this OLLO: 30-60" Brushed Aluminum Universal Table Top TV Stand, -/+20º Rotation, +10º Tilt, Safety Lock/Lock Release, Anodized Finish, Limited Edition Gold (TT-01 Gold). I like LG TV's!
July 20, 2015
Bought this TV as my second LG. I have one that's a 32" and eight years old that still works like brand new in the master BR. This one will probably never see any TV through it or even a movie. It's strictly a gaming monitor and for use with my computer and the Internet. Yep,surf the web with a 42" screen. This screen is ten inches wider yet the TV itself is only about 6 inches wider because of the small bezels now being used. The height is just about the same.

It got here quickly from Amazon, unbox it, use a Phillips screwdriver for the four screws for the feet, plug in a HDMI from my computer plus power and go!!. Of course when using this or probably any TV with a computer it takes tweaking of the settings,LCD TV's would never be set up like that from the factory. I like the menu and the settings, very similar to my other LG. It also has the Expert settings where you can tweak them even more. I like it,and it will do me just fine until the 4k TV's take a dive in price. LG!!! If using this with a computer try these settings I use or for a starting point.

Great value
July 6, 2015
I've been very happy with this purchase. The picture is great, and the TV is very light and easy to handle. I am an average-sized person of average strength (no gym for me), and I had no trouble handling the box myself, unpacking it, and mounting it on the wall with a mounting kit purchased separately. I don't think I could have done that with a larger TV or one that was any heavier. And there is really no point to 4K at this screen size. 4K is much more noticeable on larger screens. I attach a Steambox (gaming console) sometimes, and it is sure easier to power beautiful graphics (ultra settings) at 1080 than at 4k.

I considered 4 stars because I do wish that it had more HDMI ports. But all things considered, I have been very happy with the overall value of this TV, so I have to give 5. It is a great TV for the price.
Liking it more over time, (good) surprises along the way
June 28, 2015
Bought this for a guest room, and now that it's in there, I find myself using it more than any other tv in the house.

Brand loyal to Panasonic and previously Sony until they became irrelevant, LG is now my go-to brand. Happened after I bought a washer and dryer by them.

Styling is just right. Simple but not cheap looking. Classy but not flashy. Remote is nothing special, but it's rarely used anyway; the cable box remote serves as the universal.

Picture quality surprisingly good. I expected the usual soap opera look I'm used to seeing on these LED's, so my expectations were low. I was very pleased since day one. And now that I've seen 1080 quality via my Roku 3, I really love this product. And since it sips power relative to my plasma and projector, no guilt spending hours watching TV or binging on an entire series in single weekend.

I have yet to game on it. I don't expect to use it for gaming much or at all due to its size, but I'm curious to see what the experience is like on LED.

Will probably be surprised by actually enjoying gaming on it just like I was surprised by their innovative way of combining all controls into a single "button" on the TV itself. I'll let you discover this nifty feature for yourself, if you're someone like me who doesn't read the manual.

I've already recommended this to a friend. I recommend it to anyone needing a tv for a small to medium sized room. Already considering one for the kitchen.
Awesome for gaming
April 15, 2015
So I purchased this to replace my Westinghouse 26 inch 720p lcd tv this tv was definitely a huge improvement I will mostly be using this for gaming(xboxone) and so far it's great at 1080p 60hz and 32inches this is a great gaming tv for a medium to small room. After you calibrate the picture gaming on this looks great at full hd

Pros
-1080p true hd
-60hz refresh rate (perfect for gaming)
-very small bezel so no distracting edges
-very light
-good sound

Cons
-the stands can't be screwed into table this is especially important since if you were to ever accidentally knock into it it could fall

-there's a little bit of lag when going volume up or down from control my guess is this is a control issue and not ui

Great sound quality for the price
January 6, 2016
I second most everything the other reviews say. Great sound quality for the price, acceptable screen resolution (I've been using this with a Fire Stick and connecting my laptop via HDMI, so that may be what's degrading the picture quality.) The design is sleek and subtle. I have no problems with the scale of the legs. They are very sturdy feeling and I am in no way concerned about the stability of the unit.

Like everyone else says, there is only 1 HDMI and 1 USB in port. That is a bit frustrating.

My only other concern is that the remote is NOT attractive. That's not really a complaint, just an observation. They could have done better.

If you want a good TV and don't want to spend a ton of money AND are leery of no-name brands, this is a perfectly acceptable solution.
A very nice HD TV for the money.
September 1, 2015
LED picture quality is good, but not as good as my two, larger Panasonic Plasma HD TVs. However, the LED set is undeniably much lighter and runs much cooler. It's more energy efficient too, with the estimated annual cost of operation at a paltry $6. Sound quality is fine for this application. Only one complaint, if you can call it that: There is a small red light on the bottom of the set which turns off when the set is turned on. Since it is almost hidden, you don't know whether or not you have actually turned on the set until the screen lights up, which takes a couple of seconds. Having that little light turn on when the set is turned on and off when it is turned off would make more sense. Anyway, the 32" screen size is just what we needed for the bedroom, where it is primarily used in the morning. Our old 37" Plasma, which previously moved from the great room to the bedroom, where it was oversized, has now been relegated to a basement workout room, and the newer 55" Plasma rules the great room.
Good basic tv
July 7, 2015
I have this set wall mounted with an articulating mount with x-shaped arms and didn't have any problems attaching the various cables. The 1080p really looks good with hd content. I have a noisy ceiling fan and with the sound set at Standard I had a hard time hearing what was said, voices seemed muffled, however, outside of my room, the sound was clear. I decided to play with the sound settings and found that for me, "Cinema", made the voices clear so I could turn down the volume and still have the fan on. The remote looks fairly simple and the text is fairly large compared to some remotes that I have had.

The only cons I found, compared to the no name tv brand I had before is that it has less ports than the previous tv which had 3 hdmi, USB, component and composite (the LG has 2 HDMI, shared component and composite) and it only has digital audio out. The tv tends to be a bit reflective as well.
LG does it again
June 25, 2015
This TV is great for the living room. Nice sharp images and great color. If you hook it up to a computer the edges of letters are not going to be as smooth as if they were on a proper computer monitor, but hey its a TV, not a Dell UltraSharp. Its surprisingly light, and the feet were a breeze to set up. The only downside (as mentioned in the cons section) is that it only has optical audio out, so if you don't have a receiver, then you will have to find a way to route audio differently. That being said, the internal speakers are adequate, not amazing, but not terrible either.

Pros:
Good picture
Easy to set up
Decent sound

Cons:
Only 2 HDMI Inputs
The only audio out is optical (TOSLINK)
The component and composite inputs are shared.

The only other minor and nit picky issue I have is that the remote has a .5 to 1 second lag when navigating menus.
Slim design, good sound, ok picture quality, awkwardly located ports and awkward base
June 19, 2015
PROS: Nice slim TV. Lightweight, good sound and ok picture quality. Does everything I need. Easy to set-up and assemble. Assembling the feet and setting it up took less than an hour. For th $360 I paid, it was a good value.
CONS: all ports are on the back, awkwardly located, which will make it very difficult for mounting on the wall. The standing feet instead of a base are ok, but make it less stable and look awkward.

Decent and cheap
January 6, 2017
If all you want is a hd tv with 2 hdmi and component, it will get the job done. But I am very picky when it comes to tvs. The panel on the tv is extremely prone to glare. Do not have any lamps or windows facing the front or it will cause a lot of glare. The clarity is fine and the color reproduction is ok. If you want a really good looking screen, I recommend an IPS panel rather than this one.
LG 32" TV Glitch
April 8, 2016
Nice TV, but I am required to push the ON button of the remote up to 8 times before TV turns ON from remote.

It is not the remote control, because my 22" LG TV works correctly with both remotes. Same process with either of the LG remotes for the 32" LG TV ... requires multiple pushes of the remote ON button to turn 32" TV ON.

22" LG TV turns ON every time 1st try. The 32" LG TV does turn on with the manual button (near red LED) each and every time.

Also, the 32" LG TV turns OFF with 1st try every time. Picture quality is great, and other than the remote problem, a darn good TV. 04.08.16 "Run-A-Way Bill"
Good but not great picture quality
February 8, 2016
Good but not great picture quality. Based on some of the other reviews I expected this TV to be a fantastic picture for the money, but you actually get what you pay for. The images are a little out of focus when standing up close, but from 10' back looks fine. I would recommend this for a bedroom TV where you are viewing from a distance, but not for a small family room TV where people will be viewing from a closer distance. Not a bad TV, just not the best out there for the money. Also has an annoying habit of being hard to turn on with the remote. I have to press the button at least 10 times to turn it on (but not off). Doesn't matter which remote I'm using (one that came with it or my xfinity remote). Very irritating.
Only as strong as its weakest link
September 9, 2015
The clarity of this screen is wonderful, but the stability and overall functionality of the stand is questionable. This product was returned due to one small piece being broken on the stand, which due to the small size of the legs of the stand, would cause sufficient worry about the product's safety and stability. With proper wall space, it is probably best to mount this TV, just due to the instability of the stand provided.
LG Electronics 32LF5600 32-Inch 1080p LED TV...
September 1, 2015
Picture is good but reception poor even with good antenna (worked fine with previous TV). As mentioned by many others, sound is very poor but our living room is tiny so it is ok at full volume. Main gripe is that is is slower than molasses in January when changing channels and sometimes doesn't go to the right channel. (Could be the remote - can't tell). Should have stuck with same brand we had previously. (TV was damaged in flood; no one would repair it)

Switching inputs is retarded. It takes too long and is annoying. This needs a input selection hard-button for each Input. Otherwise if you only want to use it for 1 input you might be fine.Using it with a Mac the Display on the edges is hidden. You'lll need to figure out how to adjust your Mac and the LG's Setting to get the whole picture.

WOW really really bad LIGHT BLEED , even going into the settings and adjusting everything to reduce the lower bottoms screens light bleed, i still could see through watching tv and drove me insane. Got an exchange and it was exactly the same, bottom line crappy Tv for the price, the vizio that was cheaper that we got was an improvement.

WE HATE THIS LG TV.
July 11, 2017
Received this TV and right out of the box it would not turn on unless you pressed the "ON" button on the remote 5-7 times. Also would not scan in some over the air channels that our other TVs have. Complained to LG and they sent us a new remote. Same problem. Again complained to LG and sent it back for repair. Got it back. Same problem. We hate this TV and will never buy another LG product. On our way today to Costco to buy a new TV and it will not be another LG.

Customer Service was poor at best
August 23, 2016
This TV became defective in early June. Since it was under warranty, we dealt directly with LG for repair/replacement. Customer Service was poor at best, and two months after the first return for repair, they finally sent a check. It is interesting that replacing the product was never an option. Numerous phone calls, emails, etc. involving hours of time on hold, etc. made the entire process very unsatisfactory. We contacted Amazon who offered to replace the TV immediately, without question. Unfortunately, we had already returned it to LG again, who held on to it for about 6 weeks before deciding that it was not worth repairing and finally sent a refund. We are devoted Amazon shoppers and compliment them on their excellent customer service. We will continue to shop at Amazon regularly, as our preferred destination for almost everything.
Don't Buy This TV They're Defective
July 27, 2016
This TV has an issue with turning on, you have to press the power button on the remote (with fresh batteries) a few times for it to turn on, I send it back and got another one thinking it was just a faulty one, but no, when I got the other one, it had the same annoyong problem, and I read others here had the same issue, so now we're sending this one back as well. We got a samsung instead which works great.
