Great quality and style!
March 30, 2017
This controller is awesome! Sad it doesn't work on Xbox but.. for PC it is by far my favorite! Blue lighting makes it look even better, and all the buttons are responsive and solid to the touch. The controller is a bit on the light side but still solid construction. I've put it through lots of button mashing and harsh use but it's still in perfect order and I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stylish PC controller. I also love that it includes an adapter for Android phones!
I never expected this...
March 19, 2017
I was not expecting this controller to be so high-quality for the price range.I purchased this controller to replace the SteelSeries 3GC that I was using for about a year or two. I picked it up solely for the price to review ratio at the time. (Which was pretty high compared to the other controllers on sale)The Android adapter is awful and doesn't seem to be working with my LG K7 from what I've seen. The glowing effect doesn't seem to reach the left analog stick, but that's just nitpicking. The controller is a bit troublesome to disassemble and the grip is a real pain to get oriented when reassembling the controller since it likes to fall back out of the slots that holds it in place. Now to the good bits:This controller has had almost no trouble being detected by the games that I play on it unlike the SteelSeries 3GC.The build quality is excellent (better than the XBox One Elite controllers that tended to malfunction during their early releases)The controller is just the right size for the hands (even though my hands may be a bit larger than average)The directional pad is great to use compared to the SteelSeries 3GC's directional pad.The trigger buttons are analog which is something I never expected at this price range. The two motors actually function in more than a single game (unlike the SteelSeries 3GC's two motors)The whole controller is based on a single circuit board instead of two circuit boards connected with a ribbon cable.
Good controller
July 10, 2016
Good controller would be better if it came with set of utilities to customize it. I really like the force feedback on it. It's nice and strong vibrations. I think it feels pretty good in hand. Nice bottom trigger buttons. Also works with tablets which was pretty neat as well. You will have to maybe get an adaptor for the larger USB end of the cable but it seems to work. I have an older Android with the Jellybean OS if that makes any difference I don't know =D.
Looked cheap, but plays and feels natural.
June 7, 2016
After playing with an Xbox one controller (the best in my opinion), here are some thoughts:-Layout of buttons are natural and took no time getting used to.-Buttons are tactile, and have a really nice pulsing light.-Sticks are very responsive, D pad is also easily used and tactile.-What really made me keep this controller is the addition of a turbo features, which lets you turbo press any button at 3 different speeds.CONS-Cord is too short to reach my couch.-Accuracy of joysticks are low. Not great for competitive shooters, but still gets the job done.If you want a cheap controller (price, not quality) I would tell you to get this, or possibly its red brother.Been using for 3 months and will be updating. If no updates are present, it means this product has held up well.
Great gamepad. Setup was odd.
December 23, 2015
Setup of the controller in Windows 7 did not go nicely the first time, which made me think there was a problem with the controller. I'm not really sure what happened, but the controls in the game controller configuration (Windows Control Panel) were all messed up.I rebooted my computer and thought "I'll try one more time." It worked.Once I got past the setup I found this controller to be a great replacement to my outdated one. It is comfortable in my hands, even for extended periods of time. I haven't had any problems. This was a well designed, quality controller for a great price.
Great bang for your buck!
June 13, 2015
Getting back into gaming and needed a controller that runs on Linux (preferred and Windows) and this fits the bill. Great controller for the price. Build is sturdy, buttons and d-pad are crisp, and the return springs on the analog sticks are nice and stiff. I asked the seller if this would work on Linux (I run Arch) and was told no, but for $25 I took a shot and it works fine. USB cables are long enough to be comfortable, but not too long to be a hassle. The only critique I have is that it is a little small in my hands (I am 6'4" with pretty big hands so most feel small). I would definitely recommend this controller.

Ok controller but the left bumper not fully functional.
May 23, 2016
Great controller. When I received this product i hooked it up to my PS3 and it connected fine. It will always be the primary controller if that is an issue just hook up the others and assign them then this controller. BUT THE LEFT BUMPER DOES NOT FULLY WORK!!!!!! I noticed soon after that when I went in a certain direction (northeast) it did not respond. I would return but it is only a minor hindrance. Something to consider
this is designed to resemble the Xbox 360 controller and I personally love that design
January 12, 2016
To start with, this is designed to resemble the Xbox 360 controller and I personally love that design. The anchor shape really fits great in the hand and is one of the reasons that I picked up this controller. It just fits my hands like a glove. Overall, I think that the design is very good and stands out from the other competitors with the accent coloring and grippy rubbers on the handles. The buttons on the controller are very clicky and have a nice tactile response. Being my second remote of this type from the same company, the quality is still there. The buttons hold up very well and they don't really affect gaming. The triggers are very similar to the original Xbox 360 controller and there's not much feedback there in terms of clickiness, but they get the job done. Overall the experience gaming with this controller was very good.I'm only giving four stars because the first one I ordered came with a microusb cable and was pseudo wireless, whereas this one is a wired controller. But that was a mistake on my end. The connectivity with this controller and my PC was solid and I never experienced any weird stutters or latency lag during gaming. So you can rest easy knowing that this controller will not get all wonky while you're gaming.
Comprehensively concise no-nonsense review
October 31, 2015
It works pretty well. The sticks were a bit stiff at first but it just takes some breaking in. Incidentally, I had to exchange the first one I ordered because the right stick would catch when moved upward and had a significant dead zone. Yet, the exchange process was painless; I had a replacement in two days. No sense blaming the company over it it happens. And this is just about the best 3rd party controller you can get that rivals the Xbox controller for only about 3/5 the price...not have bad. It has plug in play capability too which many other 3rd party controllers lack. The LEDs in the buttons are pretty cool too.Just FYI it says in the product description that this is a PC controller only and will not work with any Xbox console so that may partially explain the price.
read by computer; was using for cs:go and rocket league in a matter of 30 seconds. good-heavy feel to it
August 10, 2015
game controller works great.currently using it to to play rocket league and cs:go on my computer.if you're playing on the computer make sure that the first two lights are lit up in the center of the controller -- this mode is for the computer. it comes with instructions but i might as well tell you now, just in case you connect it and you're like "noooooooo, it's not working"the LB and RB are snappy and work well but at sometimes, if you're pressing from the other edge of the button, it feels like it's going to jam because you're using too much force. of course, i don't use that much force but i wanted to test to see how sturdy it was.
Great for PC gaming.
July 27, 2015
This worked fantastic. Amazon shipped fast. Controller has a great feel to it. Kind of soft rubber on the side grips. Buttons and triggers are responsive. Plug this baby in and let windows install.Manufacturers issue found. Appears there's an issue where the controllers cable goes into the controller itself. It has some nice rubber protection but if I hold the controller w the cable coming out the top then dropping down the back to the floor the controller keeps losing connection and turning off and on. Only fix I found was to drape the cable over the front while I play to see at connection active. Is rather not have to take this apart and solder anything myself. Hope others aren't having same issues.
great feeling controller
May 23, 2015
My only issue with this controller is that sometimes if the micro usb port on the controller itself sometimes gets a little loose and for about a few seconds the controller is not recognized. I also have no idea how the vibration feature works and I've tried many times with many games and never got it to work. Though that is not a feature I need.I do like that it came with cable to connect to phones, but it seems as if that Android does not recognize that it's a controller. Now my phone does have controller support as my bluetooth controller works great with it. The phone recognizes there is a device is attached but when I go into a game there is no support for it. Though this could just be Androids problem and not the controller itself. I can't point down when I'm not sure if it's my phone, Android or the controllers fault here. With all that said this is an excellent feeling controller, it feels solid and feels comfortable in my hands. All the buttons feel solid and great. Over all it does not feel cheap and works great for what I want.

PS3 Review
December 25, 2016
I bought this for primary use on a PS3, as I was in the market for a new controller and prefer those with the xbox 360 layout as well as clicky buttons (the Dualshock 3 buttons and D-Pad are all too mushy in my opinion). The layout and feel of this controller is solid; each button has great feedback and it did not disappoint in the slightest. The rubberized grip seemed to be sweat resistant, if not a little rough. The L and R buttons are clicky, which may put off some users but I loved it. My only gripe, is that if you depress the face buttons very hard (mashing), the surrounding plastic will make contact with your skin which can be annoying sometimes. The turbo also works as advertised as do other command functions with a sheet on how to activate them being provided.Unfortunately, I returned my controller, as the left joystick did not always correctly work for all ps3 games (worked for many but not all), in particular when moving diagonally. I don't know if there was input lag or what, but most characters would began to move in a diagonal direction slowly for a second or two, before moving fast again. In short, not as responsive as the vanilla PS3 controller, despite far superior buttons. The cord length is also short, for when using on PS3.Everything worked perfectly on pc, and if you're the market for a pc pad, this one is excellent and highly recommended. 5 Stars for PC.
I'd be quite happy with this one...I just found one I like better.
November 24, 2016
I wasn't sold on the stick layout and I won't go near a console (FAR too RESTRICTIVE for upgrades!), so I wasn't bound to something I was used to already. I bought another one from SteelSeries to compare to this one, and it's far preferable for me. This unit is quite well made, led's are centered under the buttons rather than off to the side like some of the cheaper ones (and my old MS Xbox model, for that matter), and finish is very good...I just found one to compare it to that I like better.
Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller Killer? More like your PC Killer.
August 10, 2016
Short Version: This is a great (maybe even excellent) Microsoft X-Box 360 Controller for PC with 2 major flaws preventing me from giving this a 5 star rating: Constant disconnects during gameplay and shutdowns of my PC due to the disconnects.I've never been a huge fan of the X-box style controller, even if it is fairly similar to the Dreamcast controller which was one of my favorite consoles ever....though admittedly, that controller isn't great for long play sessions (comfort wise). I've always preferred the PlayStation style form factor, so I've been hesitant to buy a 360 Controller since I didn't have a Xbox 360. I've used the Logitech F310 for a while, but had problems with the trigger button placement and pressure, and the chunky size.Enter the ZD-N Controller. It has a similar, but smaller shape to the 360 Controller, X-Input, detatchable charging cable, and is usable with multiple systems. It's very comfortable and I have used this successfully with many games. The overall build has a reasonably solid feel for a cheaper off-brand. The Face keys, like the 360 controller are convex, but perhaps at a smaller radius, or maybe just flatter, so the button feels more comfortable to use and press for extended play sessions. I don't have much else to say about the rest of the controller and that's probably a good thing: A great product is so good, that you don't realize it's good, but rather don't realize anything wrong with it. The sticks move and press just as expected and don't feel loose or cheap at all. The triggers and bumpers depress just right. It has been a while since I tested this controller with racing games and fighting games, which are key to testing the D-pad, sticks and triggers. I hate the 360 D-pad shape for 2D fighters, but the ZD-N has a Plus shaped pad that extrudes from a Plus shaped hole, versus the 360's Plus shaped pad on a rocker circle shape. In actuality, the pad itself is probably almost identical to the 360's pad, but the shaped hole makes the difference in executing quarter-circle motions and charge motions in 2D fighters. Again, it has been a while since I have used this on a fighter, and I would actually plug it in and test it in, except for TWO MASSIVE FLAWS....This controller constantly disconnects itself ever so slightly from the cable. It's never enough to completely drop the cable or fall out, but it is just enough for Windows to recognize the controller as unplugged, often disabling it in game. I sit at a PC desk and the cable does hit against my desk's keyboard tray, so that is part of the problem for me. This issue will be less of a problem depending how you sit and what angle your cord is at to hit other objects or be tripped by your own legs/feet. I can't exactly call it flimsy, but it isn't nearly solid enough for gameplay if you're aren't careful about how you're holding the controller at all times. This constant disconnecting leads to a CRITICAL REASON why I can't recommend this controller...My PC will literally crash, shutdown, and restart after a few disconnects. I've had this happen many times while playing Axiom Verge and once while playing AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake - it's excellent). I'm not sure if this is some sort of failsafe of Windows or a strange power issue with the controller. My speaker will make a repetitive "drilling" sound of the last audio bit it played before the PC shuts down. I started to fear that I had power supply or power strip issues until I went back to my Logitech controller which has a standard built in cable and I never had the issue again. The detachable cable is a great feature on paper and definitely could be handy for Android devices with Bluetooth. I haven't personally tested this on PS3 or Android to tell how well they work for those systems - disconnects should be less of a problem due to wireless capabilities.I want to suggest this controller so much, because honestly, this is probably the best 3rd party controller to mimic a first person controller I've ever used - but that doesn't matter when it near literally kills the system it's being used on.
Dead zone in the sticks make small movement impossible
May 26, 2016
Controller is very pleasing to the eyes. I like that I can use it on PC or android devices. To its credit, it is very tough because it has pissed me off and I've given it a good squeeze. Why would this controller make a person frustrated you might wonder? Dead zone on the thumb sticks. You have to move the thumb stick about 1/3 of full lean before it registers that you're moving it. And by that point it doesn't register as finally just ever so slightly move. Its like you just tilted the joystick over 1/3 of the way. Can't do any less than that. It still works and I still use it, but I know any fine movements I'm just SOL because it almost feels like all or nothing with only a little in between. It works, just not as well as I would have liked.
Great controller for the price
April 4, 2016
I really like the fact that most games just know that I'm using it as a controller and I can automatically play with it. This doesn't work for all games but most. I originally intended to buy this controller for fighting games on the pc and it works perfectly for that. Though, the only flaw is that it is not good with precision in an fps game so you might want to shell out some more money for a better controller for games that require precise aiming.EDIT: 8/17/2016 Came to say that i have to change the position of the cord in order for it to work. If it goes out of that position, it turns off so that is a bit troublesome but other than that, it's good
Decent Buy (amended)
August 11, 2015
My review of this product has almost completely changed. After quite a while with this product, I have several complaints. First, the cord that comes with it does not quite fit well into the controller, causing the controller to disconnect frequently. I have temporarily fixed this by using the charger cord that came with my Galaxy S4. Maybe the red version of this controller would not have that issue. Second, and most importantly, the left analog stick Does Not Work Properly. I'll attach some photos of some examples of how it doesn't work. The first (hopefully) shows what happens when I try to put the analog stick fully southeast, the second should show it working normally as I put it fully north, and the third should show it failing to register that I'ved moved it from west to west-northwest. This one problem renders the controller mostly useless. I can't use it for Dark Souls 2. I can't use it for Call of Duty Black Ops. I can only use it for games with simpler controls, such as those on my laptop and phone. The controller itself still looks and feels amazing. It is rather customizable, and I truly regret that the analog stick doesn't work. I would assume that the analog stick broke through some action of my own normally, but it has been faulty since the day I got it. It just wasn't until I tried to use it on my laptop that I was able to find out exactly what was wrong. I'm going to give this controller 3 stars because the parts of it that do work work wonderfully, but the parts that don't ruin the experience.I've also kept my original review quoted below."This product works amazingly. The feel is very similar to the Xbox 360 controller, which is great. The bumper buttons seem a little flimsy, but only if you press them from the very edge, which I can't imagine doing while actually using the controller. The cord seems a bit short, but it is probably the length advertised. Also, I'm sure you can replace the cord if you use the proper data cable, although I have yet to try this. Overall I was and continue to be truly impressed with this controller."

Was great, heavy usage not recommended
July 22, 2017
This thing spazzes out. The shoulder buttons have depressed into the body of the controller. I'll have to open it up to see if it's repairable.I was using this to play rocket league on PC. Heavy button usage.Works well, currently using to play PC games and works great for that purpose. Feels better made then other controllers I have owned. Pleased overall.
OTG adaptor is trash
February 21, 2017
Upon opening the box, I see the OTG adapter is extremely cheap. Gently, I tried putting it in my phone, but it doesn't go in, so I try on a different phone and the thing basically bends where the USB port meets the male micro USB end. The controller itself may be better quality, but I can't even try it until I replace the adaptor. it isn't worth it to even send this back for such a small thing, that will be replaced with something equally flimsy.
Not a racer friendly controller!
February 13, 2017
I usually don't write reviews, but I figured this could be useful to someone. I bought this controller for my PS3 as I cannot get used to playing with their controller (too small and the layout just doesn't agree with my gaming habits). The ZD controller does in fact look and feel like the Xbox controller when it comes to size and appearance. They even added some sort of grip to the handles for those who may get slippery hands while playing. There is no setup required and all that is needed to do is plug and play. However... Here is what the deal breaker was for me... Analog dead zone (and not just slightly). Not to mistake with actual delays (other buttons and functions seemed to be okay), but the analog sticks have barely if any responsiveness or sensitivity to movement and the dead zone is so much so that you either go all the way (right or left) or you don't go at all. I've heard some say that it can be manageable or even fine with shooting games or some fighting games, but let me be straight here. As a picky gamer (and a picky shopper I suppose), this controller does not fit my needs at all when it comes to racing games. The analog dead zone will, simply put, prevent you from being able to turn, drift, dodge (anything) properly. If you enjoy racing games and are looking into an Xbox like controller for your PS3, stay away from this item... If you are still looking for something else, I recommend you look into adapters such as Cronus Max Plus (for instance). But stay way away from this device... The analog dead zone is not worth the struggle for fellow racers.
Would Not buy again
March 10, 2016
It's a great buy at first but after 2 months of use the buttons will commence to be unresponsive even if treated with care. I'm not sure if this was due to a programming fault or normal wear.
Only 2 real flaws
July 19, 2015
Works mostly fine - left thumbstick isn't responsive at all until it's pushed at least half way in any given direction. Not the greatest controller if you play a lot of shooters. Worked for a few months, but thanks to a loose connecting wire (connecting to the controller itself) it now doesn't work at all.
Feels good, and easy set up - just plug in ...
June 16, 2015
Feels good, and easy set up - just plug in and play (Windows 7) .....BUT back-lighting flickers/doesn't work and directional controls are not very sensitive so if you are playing a FPS or RPG its near impossible to aim (or even just select locations to travel to on your map)

My grandsons say it quits working right in the middle of game. Unhappy with it. First time buyer of this type of product so I wasn't sure what I was looking for.
very comfortable controller, turbo is nice
November 5, 2016
I used it for a bit, very comfortable controller, turbo is nice, if difficult to toggle, though I didn't end up using it. One thing I noticed is that I'm pretty sure pressing down the Turbo button calls Turbo on its own button. Controller also looks very nice, exactly as advertised, light up is good, does function with both Dinput and Xinput, I had no issues with that. The only reason this review is a one star is that, within two weeks, the left thumbstick no longer functioned when pressed down (the light was also off for it), though the rest functioned. I swapped over to keyboard for that game, since that button was actually necessary, and when I plugged it in about a week later, the entire controller didn't work. The cord is fine, has no damage, the worst physical damage the controller had taken was being knocked off a stool onto carpet, but it wouldn't light up, the computer wouldn't recognize it, wouldn't even do the 'new device found' sound, and the buttons didn't work. It's a real shame, I really liked the controller, but it just barely lasted any time at all. If you want a controller, just pay the extra money for a real one. This one's got real nice features, and is great while it works, but doesn't work for very long at all. I don't particularly fancy a monthly replacement.
Aesthetically Nice But That's All
August 10, 2016
This controller is horrible for the fact it has huge dead zones on the analog sticks. You can't make your characters walk by slightly tilting the stick. You have to push the stick to the point where you might as well be running and you do end up shifting between walking and running. This alone was already annoying but it doesn't stop there. When I tried moving diagonally the controller would register it as a straight movement sometimes. I don't know if I had to calibrate it but I couldn't find any type of info like that in the manual. Maybe you can or can't but I wasn't going to waste my time.Although aesthetically it was nice, just invest in an official controller that you can just plug and play without issues.
Stopped working after six months

Stopped working after six months
buttons got stuck/stopped working
January 6, 2016
Granted I tend to push hard on controller buttons, but this thing broke on the 2nd day. The A button got permanently stuck, making it useless. I reconfigured my emulator so that the right bumper took its place, which soon after became permanently stuck as well. Looks like you have to shell out some serious cash to get a decent controller.
