No tickets yet! This radar detector picks up, and alerts, nearly a mile away on radar and much much further away for lasers! I travel the country and do advertising for my job and this thing works great!

I like the voice alert. You know exactly what alert you are receiving without looking or guessing.

The radar/laser detector was a Christmas gift for my son who travels back and forth to L.A. for work -- and it talks to him which helps to keep him awake! He loves it!

I have it mounted on dashboard. Works effectively. I have picked up numerous cops. There have been some cops who I have not picked up with it but I assume they did not have their radar on. I have received all of the alerts possible at one point in time or another. One might want to mute the K-Band as it does go off frequently. The mount to the Windshield does not seem to be the most stable. The windshield is also the ideal spot to mount it.

Laser Detector seems to be working fine. Whenever it is bright out, it is hard to see the lights on the display which is not ideal.

Works great, just have to be wary on hills because it can't see through them. I get false alerts every once in a while but it isn't too often. Found out yesterday it alerts to trains which is an awesome feature. The other day while driving in city mode I had it alert me to radar approx 1 mile from the cop, he wasn't even in view yet haha. And the 360 detecting works, but doesn't alert near as far away from the car but once again overall awesome radar detector and would recommend to anyone and may buy a few for family!

Beeps at everything, but saved me a few times

tiny suction cups that go on the windshield are useless.I have had it for 3 weeks now and many Patrol cars drive by without it going off. Are they just not running radar?I don't know.

called customer service the day it came in they have never returned the call. I cannot find a place for a battery so you always need to have it pluged in. Not real happy with it but its ok. Very unhappy with customer service and would not buy from them again.

Needs better way to hang or secure unit

Gives lot of false beeps, for some reason it gives train beeps even if there is no track around. Don't work with the COP cars in city mode, Not sure if it is only with me. Inteli Mute don't work at all, not recommended.

Doesn't pick up anything. And has false readings all the time. Spend more money and buy something better

Please note that this review is about PRODUCT and NOT seller. I hate to give bad reviews to any product. I always contact the seller or vendor to see what they are willing to do for a customer before I review. In this case, both product and Cobra were one star. I noticed a lot of great or poor reviews at same time. This must be due to poor Cobra quality control. This unit replaced a 35.00 cheap (no name) brand that I won in a rafle somewhere. The cheap one detected police at half mile or better but had x always enabled, so t did give a lot of false alarms. I replaced it because after about 5 years of abuse the volume wheel broke.
I set up the Cobra in same location as old. I at first enabled ALL bands This detector had a forward range of about 50 to 100FT!!! It appeared to only work when you were directly n front of the radar device and actually worked better AFTER you passed it. I tested it at speed camera zones where you get the sign that indicates your speed before they snap your picture. I would also get various false alerts when I wasn't within a mile of anything. I live on flat and open country. Wrote Cobra directly and they said I had to send back (at my expense) so they could "test" it. This was NOT a working device that failed under warranty. It was basically DOA. Cobra still insisted I return for "repair". The device arrived packaged securely and showed no signs of dropping or damage so it wasn't dropped. Fortunately, Amazon offered to fully refund this and provided me a free shipping label. I will NOT buy any Cobra anything in the future.

The only thing this thing does is beep..CONSTANTLY. It is very annoying and it is being returned!!

This does not perform as advertised. It gives me a warning when I am on top of the radar unit.

Terrible

I have owned Cobra Radar detectors for years and this is by far the worst of them all. You can be in the middle of no where and it will tell you 10 times that a train is approaching. If you use it on highway sensitivity it goes off constantly, it gets to the point that you just want to turn it off.

Stooped working after 5 minutes, overheated and never turned back on

Had to replace power cord within a week of receiving. Now upon this writing and using yet another power cord.This unit no longer working
