Updating my review. So far we have loved this camera system and we're super bummed we couldn't get one for our 2nd child. The only downfall was our monitor stopped charging. Thanks to an awesome review on here, which showed the solder issue and what to fix, we were able to fix it easily! we had it for 2 years before the monitor just stopped charging, charging light stayed on constantly even if it wasn't plugged in. If you're having the same issues I highly recommend the other review that is so in depth and helpful!
Great product for good price!

Got this monitor for my 18 month old daughter when we needed to move her from the baby room to make room for our second baby. She is now 3 and it still works! There are a couple imperfections now that we've been using it for over 18 months, but that's understandable since it wasn't too pricey and its seen a lot of use! The slight problems we have now are:-occasionally turning off for no reason so that i have to go in her room to hold the power button to reboot-the talk-back function doesn't always work-battery dies quicklyBut overall, we have been very happy with thus montitor and would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Great quality and picture
May 26, 2016
I never write reviews, but feel compelled to write one after reading through some of the bad reviews posted. I bought this unit almost 2 years ago and I love it. I had owned a popular Motorola baby monitor prior to this unit and it broke after four months when dropped on the tile floor. I purchased the Foscam unit and love it more than the Motorola product. The screen is bigger and the picture is so clear, even at night, which was an issue with the Motorola product (blurry night vision pic). The picture is so detailed that I can zoom in and actually see if my baby is breathing. I also like the room temperature feature. I do agree with the complaints of the cheap plastic clip/stand that this unit has...mine did break off after 6 months or so, but my husband make-shifted a fix for it, or you can just lay it on the counter flat if the clip breaks off. The overall product is great and I have actually dropped the monitor several times and it has held up strong (even on the same tile floor which broke my other unit). I recently purchased a second add-on camera for this unit, and the "pairing button" instructions were easy to follow if you still have your original manual from the box that your monitor came with. Sadly, the add-on camera box did not come with instructions. For those of you who have lost your original manual the "pairing button" is the actual on/off button on the camera....when turned on, you must push the on/off button for 1 second and then the add-on camera will sync to the monitor. You can add up to 4 cameras to the monitor. The customer service tech support was great at responding to my request via email at support@foscam.us. Which I found on their website at [...]. Do not get this website confused with [...]. They sell similar products, but they are not the same company as they are based out of China and not the USA. Overall, I am very happy with this monitor and the customer service I received.
Good quality basic video monitor with useful functions
May 1, 2016
This is, overall, a very reliable and useful camera. While it may not be exactly what everyone is looking for in a video monitor, it has been essentially a perfect fit for us with our 2 year old. I would recommend this product in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a reliable monitor, and I would purchase this item again if we find ourselves needing a second camera.PROS:-Range is great between the camera and monitor. We have taken the monitor all over our house (which is not huge) and never once had an issue with losing signal.-Sound quality is great. At the lowest volume we can hear her breathing without having to strain. This is especially helpful when she is sick and we don't want to go in her room and disturb her if unnecessary.-The temperature in her room is shown on the monitor. I don't find this to be necessary, but it is certainly useful.-There is a feature that allows the monitor to sleep until a loud enough noise is made, which reduces the light output.-The camera moves remotely via buttons on the monitor. I have not found a space in her room that we cannot see her from. It is a very tiny room, though, so YMMV on that.CONS:-The volume is both a pro and a con. The lowest setting is actually pretty loud. It would be nice if it could go even quieter without turning the sound of entirely. Our daughter has a music box on her bed that she turns on repeatedly during the night for comfort, and it picks up as quite loud.-Along the same thread, the sleep function is perhaps a bit too sensitive. The above mentioned music box triggers the monitor out of sleep, and the light and sound have woken us up before. This, for us, is not a huge issue. It could be for others, though.-Battery life is...meh? Not great. We've not had any real issues, since we have the monitor plugged in almost always when using it, but it could easily be a problem for a family that needed to be separated from an outlet for longer periods of time. Something to keep in mind.-Other reviewers have mentioned issues with the placement of the music function. There are 5 buttons on top of the monitor, from left to right: power/sleep, music, volume, talk-back function, and the home/menu. It can be easy, when very tired in the middle of the night, to accidentally hit the music button instead of the sleep or volume button, potentially waking the child. They are not back-lit and are a bit close together and small. This has absolutely not been an issue for us, though. I just count over 3 by touching the buttons if I need to get to volume, since I had read the reviews and knew this going in. I think it would be wise of Foscam to redesign the monitor to move the music button totally away from the others, but this does not prevent me from loving this product or recommending it.-This issue is very minor for us, but could be more of a problem for others: the camera moves all around, and you can see the whole room by moving the camera, however the orientation doesn't change. So depending on where you move the picture and how your camera is placed (ours is hung high up by the ceiling), you often end up with sideways pictures. So wrapping up, this is a great product with great features that works exactly how we need it to. There are a few minor design and product flaws, but if you are looking for a basic and reliable video monitor, I don't think this will disappoint.
Excellent Baby Monitor packed with features
June 8, 2015
After much debating, comparing, and shopping around we decided to purchase this over a drop cam. The Foscam baby monitor is amazing. We have had zero issues from this camera. The quality is amazing, it runs full color during the day time and has excellent pick up at night. The night time vision is clear and does not bother our kids. The talk back feature is also very handy. My favorite thing about this baby monitor though is the lack of white noise that comes from the receiver. Other brands' emit quite a bit of white noise out of the monitor which makes sleeping with it on annoying. This has zero white noise, and you can even set the screen to off, and it will come on if whatever you have it watching moves. Overall i am truly impressed with this monitor. The only negative i have noticed so far is that after a power failure in our house the camera did not turn back on, i had to go manually turn it back on. This isn't a big deal unless your camera is like mine and is behind a crib high up on a wall. It hasn't happened since, so i do not know if it was a freak accident or if that is standard procedure for this camera.Pros:Excellent Screen ClarityNo White Noise from Video MonitorExcellent Day Time and Night Time visionTalk Back works perfectlyRemote control movement is handySetup is a breezeCons:None Yet (Aside from the one time having to restart the camera)
Great product, amazing price!

This is hands down the best deal for a baby monitor and these guys know web cams. This baby monitor was our 3rd Foscam and we're very happy with it. From the night vision to the temperature monitor and clarity. Only additional feature we could ask for is to make it WiFi accessible as well.

Love this
March 3, 2017
Love this machine, mummy's best friend! :)
I didn't get this until my daughter was about 1 and she suddenly started having trouble sleeping. I decided to try a sound machine, did a little research and got this one. She turns 3 next month and we still use it. She started sleeping better with it and with my husband and I felt like with having it on we didn't have to be so paranoid about every tiny little noise we made after she went to bed. I use it during her naps too.
And another big reason I got it, travel! Both my sets of parents live in incredibly loud creeky house and it would always wake her up at 5 am when they would get ready for work and it was pretty unpleasant. That was not as much of a problem when we brought this machine when we were visiting. It is very easy to travel with, small size. And it has nice sound options, we like summer night for night time and white noise which sound like a fan pretty much for naps.
Not just for babies!
May 16, 2016
I was looking for a white noise machine to help me sleep and this caught my eye because it was affordable and had several sound settings besides just white noise. Even though this is marketed for babies it's great for all ages. I'm 26 and have trouble sleeping and this has been really helpful. Even though I got it for the white noise I've found that I like some of the other settings too especially the thunderstorm one. I like that you can turn it as loud or quiet as you want and set it to go off after a certain amount of time. I have cats that go crazy at night and a husband who doesn't always come to bed the same time as me and before the cats running around and him coming to bed always woke me up. Even at a low volume it helps keep me asleep. It doesn't really cover the noise but it helps blend it so I don't notice as much. Besides helping with sounds waking me up the noises relax me. I definitely recommend this for anyone - baby or adult!
An ideal white noise (and other sounds) machine for baby
December 10, 2015
Pros:- plug in and battery options- sound quality is perfectly acceptable- several timer options and endless running option- nice selection of sounds for babies, children, and adults- very easy to use- one year of daily use and still going strong- relatively small size is great for travelCons- noneUnknown- battery lifeI bought this right before my son was born when I was told that I would need one if I actually wanted him to sleep (wombs are noisy places -- plus you don't want him waking every time you fart). He definitely did sleep much better with this on and I've now used it virtually every nap time and bedtime for over a year. I love that this one allows you to run off of a plug or battery power -- but I've never used it on battery power like I thought I would so I cannot comment on that aspect. When I might have used it on batteries, I just used a white noise file on my phone instead. I like the selection of sounds. There aren't many but there's more than I use! We have used the brook sound and the white noise. Many babies like the heartbeat sound, I've heard, but I didn't bother with it. It's so easy to use - plug it in, turn the dial (combination on/off and volume), push the button for the sound you want (if you left it plugged in since the last use, it will remember the last sound you had it on). If you want it to end instead of being continuous, you then push the timer button until your desired time lights up. Since we got him used to sleeping with the white noise, I was so grateful to be able to toss this into our suitcase for the 3 trips we have taken since he was born. It was a way to make any hotel room or family member's guest room like home for him. I would never ever want a large noise machine that I couldn't take with me! My recommendation? Buy it!Was this review helpful for you? If so, please click the "Yes" button below. If not, feel free to let me know why and I'll do my best to improve it. :)
I'm not a baby!
December 5, 2013
I bought this to drown out the LA traffic near my place and the 7:30 a.m. "Ballet of the Garbage Trucks" (they do daily shows on my block; apparently my neighborhood creates enough waste to necessitate daily pick-ups. Not me, though: R,R,R!).
Anyway, even though it's marketed to babies, I use it unabashedly. I generally sleep to white noise (fan, sound machine, the *whoosh* of night air in the wilderness as it dances with a babbling brook not far from where I set my tent in the Sierras...). And this product does the job. I haven't switched it from "white noise," so I can't comment on the other tracks. "Heartbeat," may be great for a young child, but I don't need to spend my night in psychological fear of some phantom intruder (I think movies programmed us to associate "heartbeat" with imminent axe-stabbing).
The volume allows it to get quite loud too.

My only complaint would be the green-color plastic. It doesn't go with my monochromatic palette. But then again, I am a grown-man using a sound machine.

***UPDATE (02/04/2016)***
Don't worry! This isn't like one of those other updates that you find for products that warns of a failed, poorly-designed, tiny machine that electrocuted a loved one in their sleep... and then stole their wallet. Quite the opposite: this little plastic disc with its array of magical noises is still going strong after 3 years! And now I have a girlfriend* who sometimes shares my bed!
She isn't into the hypnotic vibes of white noise, so we reached a compromise to try other settings. I'll give a brief recap of my foray into new twilight auras:

-- "Ocean" is probably the most accurate and realistic. I woke up trying to shake sand out of my hair.
-- "Thunder" is a bit much. "Electrical Storm" would be a better descriptor. I wish there was more rain between the crashes.
-- "Summer Night" is an orchestra of crickets all vying for First Chair. More like the feisty crickets of the jungle than the timid Midwestern crickets that I grew up with.
-- "Brook" had me getting up every few hours to urinate. I would avoid this unless you're on a cleanse diet.
-- "Heartbeat" ...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!!!!!

I hope my nights of experimental sleep (and occasionally its deprivation) provided you with a better understanding of your sound options on this great little device. Still "5 Stars" by me.

*I don't guarantee that this machine will get you a girlfriend of boyfriend. In fact, my girlfriend laughed at me the first time she slept over.
Then I laughed when I switched it over to "heartbeat" at full blast while she was sleeping.**

**No, she didn't break up with me.

Worked great, great price
July 11, 2017
My son loves it. At first it seemed that he didn't want to use it because it didn't have a flusher on it like the $30 potty we had downstairs but I left the summer infant decal on it which has a circle on it somewhere i think as part of the logo or something, so I just pressed my finger to the circle and pretended that was a flush button and that was enough to convince him to use it. I love that the seat is just one piece and the high front meant that even if my son didn't hold his part down that there was no splashing overboard. At this great price I bought another one and shipped it to my babysitter's house.
Great buy for a boy
June 28, 2017
I chose this based on the reviews and do not regret my purchase. The back support is a good height and the pee guard is high enough to contain the wee wee and the pee of a squirming 16 months old. My son took to this seat right as I took it out of the shipping box. He investigated it and took the insert out and sat in it and approvingly clapped his hands. He has used it on weekends when mommy realizes he has to poop. it is super easy to clean with the removable insert.
Great potty at an affordable price!
June 26, 2017
I was looking for a cheap potty for my 2 year old who has shown interest in using the toilet. I'm SO glad that I went with the Summer Infant Lil' Loo Potty! Not only is it very affordable, the quality of the potty itself is excellent! Some of my favorite features include the splash guard that helps to prevent "accidents" that mat occur, especially with boys. The removable pot is very easy to clean and the high back adds comfort and support. I think this is a potty that is perfect for toddlers! Highly recommend it!
Wonderful buy
March 3, 2017
My daughter already had Baby Bjorn potty, she likes it a lot, my second daughter ready for potty so I decided to buy another one for her. I was a bit worried because of the price, I didn't think it's possible to buy good quality for a little money. And I was pleasantly surprised how good is this potty. Girls both want to use it now! Don't see much different between this two brands.
I had this great idea when my toddler started talking about the potty ...
May 4, 2016
I had this great idea when my toddler started talking about the potty that we were going to skip the toddler potty all together. I spent a crazy amount of money on replacing all my toilet seats with those with the built in toddler seat that stores in the lid and step stools. A couple days later, excited to give them a try, I tried to set my toddler on the toilet only to be met with screams of terror. Apparently the big potty is one of the scariest things he's even encountered in his 2 years of life. Not wanting to miss his interest in trying, I started looking at stand alone potties. And, wow!, there's so many options. Potties with padded seats, potties with handles, potties that sing or talk or have fun characters. But I have no desire to clean under the nooks and crannies of seats with weird accessories, and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for some character decals. So I happened across this one, and the price was just right. I went ahead and ordered and it arrived in just a couple days. And then it sat, lonely in the corner, because my kid wasn't ready to sit on the potty. But it made a good seat for his stuffed animals to sit, and he started reading them his potty books (Potty, by Leslie Patricelli is a favorite). Fast forward a couple months and he's started sitting on it in his clothes, then actually sitting on it with no pants, and hallelujah, he happened to pee last week while sitting on it, and suddenly the potty is this amazing new idea! Now he wants to sit on the potty nightly, both because he's excited to try, and because he thinks he can use it as a negotiating tool to get to watch just one more show before bed (well played toddler, well played). I guess it's comfortable, because he'll sit there for 30 min. or more sometimes, and aside from a red tush and the protest of turning off the TV, he's had no complaints. The bowl is plenty wide, and so far no splashing. So all of that was a really long way of saying, you don't need all those bells and whistles, because you're kid isn't going to go potty because Mickey's face is staring at him. They'll go potty when they're ready. In the meantime, arm yourself with a well-made, stable, and affordable potty, and save the other money for the carpet cleaner you'll need when your excited toddler jumps up to tell you they went..as they are still peeing on your floor.
The best potty compared to similar models
March 15, 2015
Best potty out there!I have this and the more expensive Bjorn. I bought the similar Bjorn first at a yard sale, but I wanted a second potty for the bathroom my son uses in the morning. This potty is like a quarter of the price, and much better! The white insert can only be inserted front-ways with the pee-guard facing out, unlike the Bjorn, where my toddler tries to jam the insert in backwards. This averts a lot of accidents, especially with boys. It is also larger and it has a more substantial back, which my toddler 2 year-old finds more comfortable. He nearly always refuses to use the Bjorn potty and will seek out this "blue potty" almost exclusively. You can see in my photo that this potty is much wider and comfortable looking than the Bjorn.I haven't had any issues with staining, but I empty and clean the insert and wipe in dry right after he uses it. It's eay to keep clean, sometimes things collect in the rim under the white insert, so I do a deep clean once a week or so.

Love this monitor
January 18, 2017
Love this monitor! The picture is clear and the sound is excellent. After 3 years, the parent monitor stopped producing sound but the screen still worked fine. We needed another camera for baby #2 so I bought a couple of other monitors to try out. None of them matched this one. I love the operable camera (an absolute must with an active toddler), the talk-back feature (which I never thought I'd use), and the screen turning on when a sound is made. I returned all the other cameras we bought and ordered this one again instead. It had no problems pairing with the set we bought 3 years ago. Could not be happier with this product!Gave it 4 stars because the monitor stopped holding a charge for very long and the sound on the monitor broke (but would still turn the screen on when the kid made a noise). Not bad after 3 years of use. Also, with two cameras, you have to manually flip to each camera, it doesn't cycle through. This is a bummer but I still love this monitor more than any others.
We LOVED this camera
November 17, 2016
We LOVED this camera. The ball and swivel were perfect for movement around the entire nursery, and meant we could also pan over the entire crib at any time. After a few months the monitor didn't hold a charge well, but we were fine with keeping it plugged in when we needed it. After several more months of use the power button on the camera completely broke and caved in, but we went ghetto and used a q-tip to turn it on and off which also worked out fine.Definitely some things that could be improved, but we were very happy with what we got for the price.
I am very happy with this camera
March 3, 2016
I am very happy with this camera, but still may need to return.Pros:- really hard to find a camera with so many bells and whistles for under $100- love the pan/tilt from parent feature. Since I have the camera on a dresser, and it is not hanging, when I turn the camera on and off it naturally moves, making the pan/tilt great. I tried a camera without this feature and it was just annoying not to have.- Two way talk- Music- alarms/notifications that I have not seen on other monitors - can beep if room gets too hot or too cold. Can set notifications based on feeding schedule.Cons:- some of settings are great, but make sure you understand them and what is set when you start to use. I did not know but had temperature set, and in the morning the first time it was used, when the heat kicks on, the monitor would not stop beeping at us and I did not know what was happening.- VOX Setting: some people love the VOX setting, but I am personally not a fan, and this is why I may return. I want to be able to hear my child at all times, but at night, when I am sleeping, I do not want the video on, as I am not watching then anyway and it adds a light to my room that is just annoying. I do not like that the only way you can turn the video off, is if you are using VOX. I know in theory, with the VOX setting the sound will come on as soon as the child makes a sound, and you can adjust the voice sensitivity, but this is just not good enough for me.
panning canera
January 24, 2015
We have been using this monitor for a few weeks. A little awkward to hang on the wall but it works. I had a stationary monitor prior and wanted one that pans, zooms and shows temp. The pic at night isn't super clear but works well enough. I am able to pan and see the entire crib. The temp gauge is not accurate. The camera puts off heat and always reads 69 or 70. I put a second themometer in the room to check and they do not match. Not a huge deal. Also, the monitor battey is very weak, runs out in an hour or so if not plugged in. So I keep it plugged in most of the time. The camera isnot wireless and I wouldn't call the monitor wireless either because of the battery issue. All in all, good price for camera and works well enough for us.
NO BATTERY FOR BACKUP IN CAMERA AND MUST USE THE POWER BUTTON TO TURN ON
July 22, 2014
My biggest gripe/concern is that there is no battery on the camera. So when you are moving it to a new room/plug and, more importantly, when you lose power, you must physically turn the camera unit back on! What if my power goes out unknowingly in the night and baby wakes but I don't hear her?? Fortunately, she still in a basinet right next to me but now that I realize this, my husband is going to purchase a battery backup when she moves to her room all the way across the house! We live in SW Florida and the power does flicker often, especially in the summers with thunderstorms just about daily. Other than that, I don't have too much to complain about. Handy monitor.
Good camera, just two issues
May 24, 2014
I purchased this camera for our new little girl. It is a very good camera with a lot of functions. There are only two draw backs. One being, the monitor can support multiple cameras, but the company only sells the sets. Not just the camera. The second problem is the night vision sensor. It is ion a weird spot on the camera which can cause the night vision to not work properly. Honestly, I do love this camera and the issues are very easy to work with, just a little annoying.

Good Machine for a Nursery
July 15, 2017
We use this noise machine in our daughter's nursery. It has a adjustable sound wheel, so we can always set it to the level we need based on other noises in the house. We used electrical tape to cover the light on the device that indicates it is on. My one complaint is that this device defaults to the heartbeat sound if there is a power surge; since my daughter is now 7.5 mo the old, this sound isn't particularly helpful for her. (We use the white noise sound.) Overall, though, we are very happy with this noise machine
Easy for on the go!
May 9, 2017
I was nervous this wouldn't work too well if it's played for long periods of time. We play it all night long and haven't had any problems at all. The cord is long enough where I can keep the sound machine but don't have to worry about having it plugged in where the baby can reach. My only dislike is I wish it had a lullaby song. The nature sounds are great (they put me to sleep too!) but my son also like lullaby music so we also have the sound spa with the projector. It is also decent enough size where it is easy to take on the go. We use this one when we are at our family business and it doesn't bug customers at all and keeps the little one calm!
The other settings are fine but the white noise is all our son needs
April 19, 2017
We have had this sound machine for a few months now. Unfortunately, it is starting to short out. When we turn it on, sometimes, nothing happens - we have to then turn it off or unplug it or turn the volume all the way to 'max' and then it will work again. It's a little concerning. We only use the white noise setting: the heart beat is awful and not at all realistic, calming, or soothing. The other settings are fine but the white noise is all our son needs. If you unplug it, it resets and the auto setting is that terrible "heart beat". The sound dial is fantastic - it goes from barely audible to absolutely deafening. We have it louder during nap times and pretty quiet at bedtime. Overall, I am glad we went with this model.
Great buy, small bug
February 28, 2017
I like it. My baby sleeps soundly. It does a great job of drowning out the noise of outside our apartment and my baby's cousins running around. There are different sound options, but the white noise works best for us. The only thing I don't like about it is that there seems to be a shortage in the power/volume button. I have to keep repositioning it in order for the noise to stay on. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 3 is because once I position it right, it's good to go for however long I keep it on. So it's not a big deal.

December 29, 2016
I bought this for my mom for Christmas. She loves listening to something to help her fall asleep. She had been using her phone to stream "soothing sounds" stations on Pandora. I saw this on Amazon and it was a great price and had good reviews so I decided to buy it for her. It is a great size that it isn't too big or too small, it's juuuuust right. I like the fact that you can choose to have it plugged in to an outlet, or use batteries. It makes it really convenient to travel with if you travel for business or go on vacation. You have six soothing sounds to choose from: heartbeat, white noise, beach, crickets, thunder/rain, and a babbling brook. The white noise is one I doubt anybody ever uses. It sounds like when your tv channel would go out and that annoying noise with the black and white "snow" on the screen would come on. The beach waves and babbling brook are a bit similar. It would have been nice if they replaced the brook with city noise (cars driving by or something). The volume is adjustable so you can have it as low or loud as you like. There are programmed times so you can set it on a timer to auto-shutoff or if you don't select anything it will keep playing until you turn it off manually. My mom really likes it and I will be ordering one for myself because I really like it too!
Have had many of these! Really like!
July 14, 2016
We have had 4 of these. One was a hand-me-down. Two were purchased by us (one Amazon and one target) and now this one. What I love about these is the non-obviously repeating sounds. The kids both have these in their rooms and sleep wonderfully when these are on. Two of the four, though, have had issues with the volume knob. Something shorts out or something in there and it makes it terribly loud and impossible to adequately control. Because these cost $20 or so I still deem it a 4-star product but my big concern is it's longevity. Love these and will continue to buy them. The silver and white one is pretty much the exact same thing as this green one. Our son likes the thunderstorm and our daughter the brook.

Good buy

It's very easy to clean, also easy to get dirty and my boys haven't officially used them yet. The color is as described. Very sturdy quality... can hold twin boys standing on it without buckling. The pee shield has no curve in it. My boys like to sit on it backward but that pre shield is in the way since the "poop groove" keeps it from being able to be turned to the back. It is a good potty, though. I purchased 1 to introduce the boys to it. I purchased another because they didn't hate it. They love the potty but need to stand to use the bathroom so we haven't had much success.
Lightweight and mobile
June 2, 2017
I like the design, it's easy to move around and empty. The bad part of that is that my young toddler can pick up and carry it. Also it came with a big sticker just above the seat that won't come all the way off and the seat was taped down to the chair, the tape just won't come all the way off either. I can't help it but I hate sticky stuff stuck on my products.
Great training potty
May 18, 2017
I love how easy this little potty is to use for my Lil one. It is expensive and not frills. It got to our house really fast. The only thing I disliked was that they put a big sticker on the backrest and I can't pull it off easily. I wish they would have stuck it on the back or not at all. But over all it is a great training potty
Good quality potty, but not for slim toddlers.
November 9, 2015
It is a quality and sturdy potty, for great price. BUT the seat is wide. If you have a narrow bodied child, go with the baby born potty. My daughter was very uncomfortable with this wider summer infant potty because she is slim and complained she was falling in. See my pics but summer infant width was 9 inches, compared to 7.5 inches for the baby born. Otherwise it's a great inexpensive potty option.
Its a potty...what else to say...
August 6, 2015
Good price for a good potty. It is perfect for my 2 year old daughter and she has no problems using it. For the price you really cannot get a better deal. The only drawback is that it lacks a lid. However knowing that going in does not really make it a problem per say. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does not have anything special or wowing about it. Granted, it is a kid's potty, but still. To me 5 stars are for exceptional products. 4 stars are for products like this, that get the job done and have no major or significant drawbacks.

3.5 stars. Monitors reliably for over a year, power button broke off twice
August 9, 2015
We have owned this baby monitor for over a year now. My number one criterion when ordering was reliabilty. A monitor that is flaky, shows a "delayed" feed, or is constantly interrupted by other signals is not going to be an effective safety solution. After poring through reviews of more expensive Motorolas, this, that, and everything else, I settled on the Foscam because of the consistent reliability ratings. NOTE: It had a 4-star average rating when I bought it, but now appears to have dropped to 3.5. I haven't investigated why.The monitor is reliable. It's clear, turns on very quickly, and gives you a good picture of your child's activity in darkness and light. You can see their chest going up and down so you know they're breathing. The audio is clear, and we can hear the breathing too. All this from a distance of about 5 feet from the child. Your mileage may vary with distance. No interference or flakiness at all in well over a year. All is not perfect, of course. I would have liked to subtract 1.5 stars, but have to settle for two. The on/off button on the camera broke off after a few months and fell inside the unit, rendering it useless. Kudos to Foscam - their customer service was excellent, and they replaced it for us for free in a reasonable amount of time. We were without a camera for a week, but learned to adjust. The power button appears to have a consistent reliability problem,, however. A few months later, the replacement camera's power button broke off too. Now we can at least stick a Q-tip inside to turn it on, since it's not AS broken as the first time, but it's still a big inconvenience. The first camera also started off this way - first the outer cover of the power button fell off, putting it into Q-tip land, then eventually the entire power mechanism broke off, rendering the camera useless, and a Q-tip could not help since there was nothing to press. I have no doubt this camera will also be rendered useless eventually as well. Unfortunately, Foscam is claiming that the original warranty has expired, and will not issue a second replacement even though the replacement only lasted a few months. For this reason, and since reliability is such an important criterion for a device like this, I have had to lower my review despite the good monitoring it offers.
Good - except for the nightmare inducing infrared
June 21, 2015
This is a really nice monitor for the price. There are a few minor annoyances - but they are all manageable. However - the deal breaker for us is the visible infrared lights. Others have mentioned them - but no one really pointed out just how scary they look. I attached a pic - it looks like some angry monster is watching you sleep. My son actually said it was 'freaking him out.' So this is going back unfortunately...
Works pretty well with two complaints.
May 28, 2015
We bought this unit to replace a Uniden that we purchased four years ago for our first kid. I like the music feature and the daytime picture quality is really nice. However there are two major complaints that we have about the camera:1) The camera does not turn back on after a power outage. We live in a city that is very prone to power outages due to lightning. Several times in the last month that we've had the cameras we've had to go turn them back on when we realize that the power has gone out.2) The infrared/night vision is very weak compared to our old Uniden model. We have the camera mounted on the wall in the corner of our son's room (about 12 feet away from his bed). With the old Uniden - we could see him pretty clearly (albeit in B&W), but with this model we can barely see anything! It seems the IR is only good for a few feet. This was a disappointment - we'll ultimately have to move the camera almost directly above him (which we have tried to avoid in case the camera were to fall). The only other thing I've noticed is that I don't think the temperature sensor is very accurate. We keep our house at a pretty cool 75 degrees Fahrenheit. But one night the alarm went off saying that the temperature was above 82!! We walked in the room and it was just as cool as the rest of the house. We disabled the temperate alarm since it's clearly useless.
Nice camera, but aggravating charging issue
March 30, 2015
UPDATE 2: Since the last update, we started having an issue where the monitor would not charge even when plugged in. We replaced the monitor, but not even a year later, the new one is doing the same thing. I'm so tired of waking up at night to hear a supposedly-charging monitor beeping angrily at me. Still like the camera part, but no longer recommend due to this charging issue.UPDATE: Since writing this review, we have moved to a different apartment. We found that our signal problems were indeed due to the thickness of the apartment's walls. The monitor worked great at every grandparent's house we visited and works stupendously in our new home! In addition, we have now had this monitor for over a year. It's been banged around, hauled back and forth to grandma's, and thrown by a mischievous toddler. Still going strong and we're very happy! As such, changing review to five stars. This camera is an awesome way to keep on eye on your child without tiptoeing into the room every five seconds to make sure they're still breathing. I only mention that because that may have been what I did before finally ordering this camera. No wonder he wasn't such a good sleeper. This is the only one we've tried, so I can't compare it to others, but here's what we like (and dislike):Pros:1. The camera is very adjustable. You can use the monitor to turn it and follow baby around the crib, no matter where he rolls.2. Color feed! Now you can admire baby's impeccable fashion sense even from another room!3. The night vision. It actually works really well -- you can see baby as clearly as if the room were actually lit.4. Monitor is extremely portable. It can easily fit into a pocket.5. The sound quality is clear, and it picks up noises very well. You can even hear baby breathing.6. The buttons are programmed to prevent doing anything accidentally. For example, to turn on/off, you must hold the button for two-three seconds, so you don't need to worry about knocking it against something and losing the picture. When you adjust the volume, you need to hit a different button to close the menu. No worrying about accidentally closing the menu in the middle of volume adjustment!Cons:1. The monitor doesn't have very good range. Maybe our apartment just has thick walls, but sometimes I'll be in the next room and still have to nudge it until it stops beeping "out of range!" at me. The signal can be accidentally blocked by furniture, people, or piles of clutter. (NOTE: This turned out to indeed be due to the thickness of our apartment's walls, since we were in an earthquake-prone area. Once we moved, both the weak signal and rapidly depleting battery problems were solved.)2. The monitor has a pretty short battery life. We've figured out that the battery dies faster when the signal is weak. Unfortunately, that's pretty much all the time. Not that it's THAT hard to just bring the cord with you, but so much for portability.3. If the camera gets unplugged, you need to hold a button on its side until it turns on again. Which can be really inconvenient when you don't notice it's unplugged until after the baby's asleep. You can rotate the camera from the monitor, so why isn't there also a button to remotely turn the camera on/off?4. The monitor-to-camera sound doesn't work well at all. The first time we used it ("test! Test! This is only a test!"), it sounded like some kind of static message from beyond the grave. I'm kind of afraid of what a lullaby might sound like.5. Why isn't there a way to turn the night vision on and off? It usually works pretty well, but sometimes the camera takes awhile to realize the room is dark, and you're left staring helplessly at a completely black monitor until it figures it out.6. Speaking of which, the night vision lights are actually kind of creepy. It looks like a giant, red iris staring down at your baby. Or at you, if you forgot to turn the camera. They still turn on even if the monitor is off, so the only way to save yourself from the all-seeing eye is to unplug the camera itself.7. The screen will sometimes flash random colors, turn white, and reset. This barely takes a second, so it honestly isn't that big of a deal. Unless you've played Five Nights at Freddy's, in which case you might freak out and slam shut the nearest door. Actually, maybe this one is more a user problem.Despite that much longer list of cons, we are actually very satisfied. This camera is an excellent way to keep an eye/ear on your child, either at night or while moving around the house. Four stars!
Functional, but not great
January 28, 2015
To me, this is a functional, but no-frills, video monitor. It allows me to keep an eye on my kid in her crib, (in addition to an ear.) I do like that it has a temperature reading and alarm and that it does not connect to the internet. I wish it recorded video or I could take screen shots, but I knew that in advance, so that isn't really a negative for this review, just something to keep in mind. I can only give it 3 stars (and I feel like I'm being a bit generous as I'm writing this), because the camera does not power back on in the event of a slight power blip, because the range is terrible (<30 ft through 2 walls, if I push it too far away from me on my night stand it will be "out of range") and because a few times the parental unit has cut off (and not come back on) with no notice for reasons we can't explain. We continue to use an audio monitor as back up for these reasons... Our audio monitor goes about 100 yards outside of our house, in the woods and even slightly down a hill and powers back on in the event of a power blip.
Functional but major design flaws
July 2, 2014
At this point I am a baby monitor expert- I have had maybe 6 Motorola MBP 36 monitors- the first lasted the longest and the others broke quickly or arrived defective. I loved the model but gave up after it broke so often. Then I tried the Samsung which arrived broken so I sent it back and didn't try again. Went back to Motorola which had a batch of defective monitors one after the next so I ended up with the Foscam since my son was over 2 and I didnt want to spend huge amounts of money on defective monitors. This is a functional monitor at a good price (but not as good picture) so I can see why it sells but it has a lot of major flaws:-the buttons take a very long time to turn on and off. I first thought it might be broken but I held the on/off button on for a long time before getting it to turn on.- you can't see any buttons at night to turn them on/off, change volume etc. You have to do it all by feel and then as mentioned the buttons are so hard to push. They are also small and the line up isn't intuitive.-the worst flaw perhaps is that the viewer can be put onto dark mode where it isn't lit up all the time. This is good for when you are sleeping. However, it automatically lights up when any noise is detected. When I put my son's music on to sleep the monitor lights up for the entire CD, same when a noisy airplane or truck goes by. So all night the monitor is lighting up. I turn it over so I don't see it but it is a really bad design feature.-After 5 weeks mine completely died- sending it back today. Not sure what I will try next or if I will just go back to the old fashioned way of keeping the doors open and listening for my son!

We've also noticed it sometimes changes which sound is playing in the middle of the night (which sounds totally fine, until you hear a creepy heartbeat from you ...
September 14, 2017
We have been using this sound machine daily for almost 8 months now. About 2 months ago, the on/off dial started getting really finicky. Sometimes you turn it on and there is no sound. You have to press and wiggle the dial until the sound stays on. Even then it sometimes turns itself off randomly. We've also noticed it sometimes changes which sound is playing in the middle of the night (which sounds totally fine, until you hear a creepy heartbeat from you kid's room at 2 AM). We bought the newer version of this machine, but the sounds in the newer one are very digital/electronic. This older version is deeper and more realistic. We're going to try fixing the one we have, but don't have high hopes. I would not buy it again.
Worked well for a while, but it's been about ...
August 4, 2017
Worked well for a while, but it's been about 6 months and now it will intermittently cut out and stop making the white noise, even though it isn't touched. Then it will start the noise back up again a few minutes later, which will then wake my baby up. It has become quite frustrating so I will be getting a new white noise machine (different brand).
It is amazing in most respects
April 11, 2017
It is amazing in most respects. Much louder than my more expensive Marpac. The big reason I'm dinging it 2 stars is that it started not working properly after only a few months. I have to fiddle with the knob more and more to get the sound to come on and lately it is turning off after a while (despite not using the timer function).I don't see a way to contact the manufacturer or I would ask for an exchange.
Decent...just not very durable
February 16, 2017
I have purchased 2 of these units for my child's room. The first one lasted One year: the second lasted One month. I will say the reason they didn't last is because my child is now a toddler and loves to play with it in her bedroom. Honestly dropping this unit ONE time from about a foot high (both times) has resulted in the AC adapter in losing its internal connection. Both units still ran on battery power, which 4-AA batteries will only last us a week, this is not only annoying but expensive. We use the sound machine for about 13 hours per day for naps and night time. Last night my husband and I opened the unit to see if we could find the loose connection: and there were no obvious connection issues: (tested with an accessory wire) we decided we would have to re-solder the connections to the circuit board and AC connector and see if we could get it to work: we decided its just not worth it.Despite the durability issues, after using this unit for over a year there are good and bad things about it. I dont like super loud sound while my child is sleeping, and this machine is very very loud in my my opinion. The volume knob is tricky in getting just a soft background noise because I have to adjust it by millimeters to get just a soft sound. Sometimes at these lower volumes, the sound would just short-out or get static-y. But after some patience I could eventually get it to work at the low volume. - annoying but manageable. If the unit was on my daughters night stand: and anywhere near her bedside monitor or her nightlight even: a horrible static/buzzing sound would take over the speaker.Overall the ocean and white noise(fan like whirring) are decent, and what we use all the time. They aren't too electronic sounding and I never really noticed any Looping to be annoying. The heartbeat sound is ridiculous, but the other noises are fine, but just not soothing. For the price Its a good little sound machine, but it definitely has its quirks and if you have kids that can get a hold of it easily: its not very durable. I just cant bring myself to buy a third unit, and I'm looking into other options at this point.
Great Value for the Price.
January 6, 2017
My wife and I purchased two of these for our home. One for our 6 month old and one for our room as I work night shift. The sounds are realistic, it is easy to use, and the machine barely gives off any light while running. For the price, you really can't beat it.Now for our problem with it and there has only been one with both machines. After approximately six months of every night use, our machine in our child's room randomly stopped working in the middle of the night. We went into the room and found the machine powered on but not emitting sound. As soon as we touched the volume knob, the machine would randomly flicker on and off until we found a "sweet spot" to keep it running. We switched our machine with our child's and the other machine lasted just over a year before it started the same thing. To me it seems that the volume dial gets weaker over time, causing the switch to have a weak connection. The machines still work and we have marked on each one a "sweet spot" where it is the most reliable. All in all, we love ours. Super compact and a great value. I would recommend this product for the value but wish it had better long term reliability.
Great if you aren't neurotic about sounds like I am
February 19, 2016
For use in a baby's room where there will be no adult, I think this is a great product. It can be plugged in or run on batteries. It has a nice variety of options and good volume control. However, if you are neurotic like I am, you will quickly hear the rhythmic patterns and repeating tones under even the plain "white noise" option. I sleep in the same room as my son and I thought I was losing my mind. We switched to just running a fan at night.

Sticker residue nightmare
September 1, 2017
I wouldn't spend more than 3 dollars on this, yes it will do the job. I spent over an hour tying to remove the large product sticker from the back of the seat (not shown in picture) I used everything you can name to try and remove the sticker residue finally gave up and placed contact paper over it so my daughters clothing wouldn't stick to it every time she went to the potty. I should have spent 5 dollars more and went with a better training potty.
Simple and functional but not comfortable for my kid
June 28, 2017
My daughter does not find it comfortable to have the splash guard between her legs, so we ended up purchasing a different one after she eventually refused to sit on this one. Wish the splash guard were removable.
I am a bit disappointed with this potty
May 28, 2017
I am a bit disappointed with this potty :-( I wanted to love it and I read so many reviews and it simply just doesn't work the greatest. I use it with my 22 month old (30 pounds) and she has difficulty trying to sit on it correctly. The huge hump in the front causes her the issue. Sometimes she sits on it sideways and that just doesn't workout. Pros: Light weight, nice color, and easy to clean. Maybe it is just my toddler but we will be looking for a replacement.
My Son Didn't Like It
March 19, 2017
I had this sent to my mothers house for a vacation as it looks very similar to the Ikea one we use at home. However my son refused to use this, I don't know if it was the change of scenery or what but after a month on vacation he still wanted nothing to do it with it. We came home and he was more than happy to use the Ikea one.
Other than that it is pretty straightforward and does a fine job
January 7, 2017
My 1 1/2 year old has a really difficult time getting on it by herself because of the huge protrusion on the front of the seat that is supposed ot be between their legs. Other than that it is pretty straightforward and does a fine job.
Good trainer
October 26, 2016
Great little potty training potty.Pros:+ simple, easy to use+ easy to cleanCons:- my LO likes to "clean" his potty by throwing into the toilet, we then clean it and let him put it back, well sometimes he puts it backwards. I wish there was a way to not allow it to be placed backwards. No it doesn't go all the way down but down enough for him to think he put it back correctly.- enough space in the back if the LO takes a #2, it might get on the plastic

Will only last you a year!
January 9, 2016
Giving this monitor 2 stars because it stopped holding a charge after 8 months, so I replaced the battery cord, and another 8 months later it has stopped working again. I love the monitor (clear picture, temperature control, pan-tilt cameras) but think it should definitely last longer than 1.5 years!
Breaking piece by piece
November 19, 2015
I purchased this camera and receiver almost exactly 6 months ago and I'm extremely unpleased with how it has held up with time. After about a month, the receiver would periodically lose it's connection with the camera, displaying an "out of range" message that flicked on and off for a few minutes. Our house isn't so large that I was out of the range stated in the manual. I was just two rooms away from the baby's room. A month later, the charger for the receiver broke and we had to order a new one from a third party. We learned in this time that the receiver only holds a charge for about a half hour before powering down, so we have to keep it plugged in. A month after that, the camera started powering off when we moved it with the receiver, almost as if it was shorting out when we use the controls. So we'd have to sneak back into the room to turn it on. Now, the power button (that you have to hold for a few seconds to turn on) on the camera has broken off and fallen into the base. We have to turn it on with a pen, and it takes a few tries. Often, we have to go back into the room multiple times to turn it on. It's just a huge inconvenience. Dying to replace it, as we have another baby on the way and we had planned on just adding an additional camera to this system, but now we will start over with another system after investing $100 in this one. Frustrating to say the least.
Good start. Bad ending
October 21, 2015
This baby monitor embodies why I always wait to review a product until I have spent some time with it. Otherwise, I would have given it 4 or 5 stars upon first use.Out of the box, the system works impeccably, great image, great night vision, good-ish battery life, small footprint, remote-controlled pan-tilt camera controls, etc.Within eight months of GENTLE use, the transformer for the screen died. We had to buy an after-market one, which only works, if you tape the cable to the monitor for good contact.Within nine months, the on/off button of the camera came off; now we have to use the tip of a pencil or pen, to turn it off.Within ten months, the infrared function stopped working. The brazilians have a saying, "Barato sai caro", loosely translated as "Save now, pay later". Do we really benefit in the long run by killing domestic US industry, in exchange for cheap Chinese goods?
Fell apart slowly, no help from support
September 2, 2015
The features on this setup aren't bad, but both units slowly fell apart over time under normal wear and tear:- The stand snapped off the monitor month 1- The camera stopped panning down in month 3- The monitor battery stopped lasting more than 30 minutes at a charge by month 4- The power button fell off the monitor in month 12I contacted support about these issues, and their response was to offer me 10% off my next purchase, and then to recommend one of their cameras that isn't even a baby monitor. I don't think they read my actual question.I asked them if I could buy a replacement monitor, and they don't sell those, only replacement cameras. The asked if I wanted to buy a replacement camera, which I found annoying given I'd just told them the monitor itself didn't function. Sure, Foscam - I'd love a second camera that I can't watch. Very helpful.Buy a different baby monitor. One from a company with competent customer support, or at least one that will sell replacement components without asking you to buy a whole new set.
Three reasons why this monitor pisses me off
July 30, 2015
Quite a surprise how frustrated I am with this thing. It got two stars instead of one because of the pivot camera and the fact it works. It lost a start for each of the following though:Minus star 1 - the first one we bought was having issues charging. We'd have it plugged in but unless the cord had just the right pressure on one side it wouldn't charge. Really sucks in the middle of the night when you think it's been charging the entire time and you find out it's dead. We got our money back and ordered another one. Same problem with this one! Really? and it's not user error... I know how to plug a charger in.Minus star 2 - location of buttons. When it's dark and you're half asleep it is not very easy to find the on botton. Once you get it on and want to temporary turn the monitor off and mistakenly hit the volume which is crammed right next to it you can only get it back off by pushing buttons to exit. Not only is this frustrating when tired, but it plays into minus star 3.Minus star 3 - the loudness of the montior when pressing the zoom or volume button it is so loud, click click. I can't tell you the number of times in the middle of the night I have to press this to get out of the darn volume screen (see above minus star 2) and I hear my supose-to-be-sleeping wife go "what are you doooooing?" ... I'm trying to get this darn this off honey go back to sleep. Not to mention that when it gets low on battery it has a very loud beep that constantly reminds you... "ok i get it you're low on battery, now shut up so that I can still use this thing for the last 20% because I don't have you charged because of Minus star 1 reason! We're going to buy the montior we originally had before this one... the old monitor didn't pivot or move around, but it sure was less frustrating.
Very disappointed with this
June 29, 2015
Very disappointed with this. This had all the features I was looking for at a very reasonable price for what it includes. Picture quality was good, range was great (I could walk out of my house and down the driveway with it!), and the VOX feature was very nice. However I ran into the issue that others have discovered where the power cable connection into the monitor seemed faulty. You have to jiggle it just right to get it to charge, then it would randomly stop charging alerting you with the "low battery" beep at 30% power. Eventually even with the cord in there just right, the battery would not charge beyond 50%. Ordered a replacement unit, but found the problem more pronounced in the new one than in the old! I'm returning both, and sadly have to look for something else.

Poor quality
August 24, 2017
The first time we bought this, it didn't work. The replacement came, and it worked fine...however, we have not even had it a year and the sound goes in and out. The wire/connection is very touchy. We have to wiggle the cord to get it to stay on. We've also had the electricity go out before which resets it back to the heartbeat sound. We always keep it on the static so when it switches to heartbeat, it always wakes up our son. He needs the sound but I'm tired of this product not being a quality item!!!
It's great... until it breaks.
July 6, 2017
I bought this sound machine in Janurary of 2017. Initially, it worked well and I had no complaints, however about 2 months later, it started giving trouble with the volume knob sometimes shorting out the machine, causing it to turn off. That has gotten progressively worse over time, to the point that now I have to turn the machine on and off a few times before it stays at the volume I need it. I use it for my sons nursery so it's also pretty inconvenient when it shuts off in the middle of the night.I wish it worked better, because then I wouldn't be shopping for a new sound machine 6/7 months after buying one!
getting frustrated with what I once thought was a good product
May 18, 2017
I have purchased 3 of these. The first one worked great! The second one worked great but the chord stopped conducting electricity. The 3rd one sometimes works, and sometimes just doesn't turn on. Its as if the control knob sometimes performs its proper function and sometimes just doesn't do anything. I usually leave them on all night, at a low volume so that my baby stays asleep.....and one in my room so that I stay asleep. Last night it went off, for no reason, and woke me up. I am getting very frustrated.
The one with projection is SO MUCH BETTER.
May 2, 2017
We were given a MyBaby Soundspa with the projector when my first daughter was born. She is now 3.5 and it still works perfectly after daily use. We bought this portable one since we don't really use the projection and it was cheaper. I wish I hadn't. My baby is 5 months old and already this sound machine cuts in and out. My baby is currently napping and the sound machine just stopped working all on its own. I would highly recommend the one with projection over this one! It works so much better.
Not very spa-like. Stopped working after one year.
September 14, 2016
I purchased this noise machine to give my baby something soothing to listen to over the annoying neighbor dog constantly barking (ironic given my screen name). Unfortunately it did not accomplish what I had hoped it would, probably because the dog's bark is a much higher pitch than any of the sounds from this device and the barking just cuts right through.Update: We ended up continuing to use this sound machine over the course of a year, and all of a sudden it has stopped working for no reason. Disappointing.
My Machine Makes the Strangest Noise When It's Been on for Awhile!

When I first used the sound machine (for the first few hours) it worked well, and made the sound it should. But, after the machine has been on for awhile, it starts to "play" the strangest background noise that is very rhythmic and monotonous, in conjunction with the white noise, with a rise and falls in the pitches. At first I thought there was music playing somewhere in the house or outside with this monotonous beat and tune. I turned off the machine in the middle of the night to listen, and discovered it was coming from the machine. I chose this machine for the white noise. I like a continuous noise that does NOT change pitches. I first started using a machine because of my husband's snoring. I would lie there anticipating the rise and fall of the snores. I do not want background noise that changes pitches because it will wake me, and I will lie there anticipating the changing sounds. That's why I don't listen to music or the ocean, or a trickling stream. This is the strangest sound coming out of this machine I've ever heard. It's very sing-songy, and it drives me crazy. It only starts when the machine has been on for awhile, so you cannot detect it when the machine is first turned on. It woke me out of a deep sleep, and kept me awake for hours. I wasted my money on this machine, and wish I had never bought it.

The seat is way too uncomfortable for a toddler to sit on.
August 7, 2017
My daughter is 2 and is average size for her age and she is unable to sit comfortably on this potty inorder to do her thing. She screams and cries whenever I try to get her to use it. I only purchase this so she would not have to wait for me to place her on the toilet but I end up having to do this away because she doesn't like using this potty.
Not a good choice for boys unless you want to clean up pee off your floor and kid everytime
July 20, 2017
This is not for boys. The dome at the front isn't going to provide any thing for when a little boy is sitting and peeing. Matter of fact if he does per there is a very good chance that it's going to splatter back on them like peeing on a rock. Or it's going to shoot right over the top since it's not cupped like others.
Tape and plastic labels are difficult to remove.
June 2, 2017
Pretty much every plastic potty has splash guard and removal potty. BUT not every plastic potty has large labels that are very difficult to remove. And to make matter worse, the manufacturers place the sticky tape (also very difficult to remove) and the labels right where it makes contact with baby! I just don't understand what they were thinking.
Potty's Fine, Leave the Sticker OFF the backrest
February 19, 2017
The product itself seems fine. It's cute - looks just like the picture (although the raspberr y is more red than in the photo) We haven't even used it yet. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the sticker right smack dab in the middle of the backrest. When you put a sticker on hard plastic itt DOES not come off easily. I just spent 30 minutes trying to get the stickers off both the potties we bought and now there is sticky residue left. Yes, I realize this is a somewhat silly complaint but it's annoying that such a careless packing decision becomes such a waste of time. Very Displeased.
THE STICKER IS INSANE TO GET OFF!!!
January 16, 2017
This was nice and cheap and I'll tell you why! They put a big ol nasty sticker on it that is HORRIBLE to get off. I must have spent a half hour just scrubbing it and there is still leftover residue. I mean who does that anymore. Put a sticker on there that doesn't split into a million little pieces when you try to take it off. It ruined it for me. I would seriously spend $5 more to not have to do that again.
Not recommended for boys.
December 1, 2015
I have 4 boys, currently potty training #3, so I'm rather familiar with boys and potty design problems. I really really love the simplistic design of this potty (& the price), but the pee pee guard is just not substantial enough for little boys. As a result, we have regular messes and I'm going to pass this on to someone with girls. The "guard" is more like a wall, not a cup designed to keep the pee in, so just imagine the mess of peeing against a wall at close range. The guard needs more curvature on all sides.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! DO NOT PURCHASE!
September 16, 2015
I wish I could rate this monitor with zero stars. We bought this monitor in January, and things have been great up until about a month ago! The monitor stopped charging properly, and the battery won't hold a charge. We've taken to wrapping a rubber band around the power cord and the monitor, just to get the darn thing to charge! I have been emailing back and forth with Foscam for a week now, I've done most of the emailing and barely heard much back from them. Finally today, not only did they tell me that I have to pay to ship my broken system to them, but I ALSO have to pay for them to send a new monitor to me. $7 each way! This is ridiculous and an absolutely terrible company! This is clearly a manufacturer problem because so many people are on here complaining about it, so it's not anyone's fault, but the company. And they want to hold the customer accountable and that is BS. I am so disgusted with this company. I spent $100+ on the system, for nothing. It worked great and then all of a sudden started having problems. I do NOT at all recommend this, do not waste your money, because you'll be replacing it in under a year.
and as soon as we began using it we loved it. After a couple of months
July 30, 2015
Do NOT buy this monitor, so many issues! A year ago, we purchased our Foscam baby monitor from amazon for $169.99. After some reviews and comparisons, we chose it because of the many features it offered which helped us keep an eye on our newborn, and as soon as we began using it we loved it. After a couple of months, we started having a problem where a message pops up saying “out of range”, in which case we figured out restarting the monitor or camera (or sometimes both) fixes the issue. At first, it would only happen once in a while, and progressively got to the point where this became a daily occurrence. It finally began happening multiple times throughout the day, very inconveniently, as many times baby was sleeping and it is difficult to make noise while restarting the camera next to his head. Last week our monitor displayed the “out of range” message again and now it no longer connects to the camera. To troubleshoot, we once again tried restarting both the monitor and the camera without any success. It appears that there’s no connection between both devices, so we are unable to see a video or hear sounds, which defeats the purpose of having a baby monitor. This is a huge disappointment as this product was well overpriced and only lasted 3 months in a good working condition, after which it became a game of pushing buttons and restarting it every day. The price has come down to $99.99 since then, and we realized we overpaid for such a failed product. Do NOT buy this one, shop around for better quality!
The monitor has charging/battery issues
July 18, 2015
I loved this monitor. Everything about it was awesome. Picture quality was so much better than my Summer one that crapped out.it had all the cool features like pan and tilt, temperature reading, talk to you kid feature. Then I noticed it wasn't holding a charge. Wiggle the plug in cord though and it looked like it was charging up again!... But it wasn't. OK, well I can just keep it plugged it, right? Nope. Battery drained down, died and that was it for the monitor. Even plugged in.So, back in the box and schlep to the UPS store to return it. (insert sad Charlie Brown music here) Did I mention it came out of the box, got plugged in, died and went back in the box in the SAME DAY?!! This issue is real, people. So sad because I wanted to love this monitor forever, or at least longer than a 6 hour period.
Works great while it lasts.
May 15, 2015
Works great - while it works. In less than a year we are on our third monitor - which also just stopped working. It's a great monitor while it works but we keep having trouble with the power cord. After a bit of time it just stops charging. You have to hold the cord at a certain angle for it to charge - which doesn't work while you are sleeping. It keeps crashing on me in the middle of the night so I can't hear my baby crying. I'd like to say that it was just a fluke, but it's our third and keeps happening.Unfortunately, we are a month outside of our window to send it back. It's pretty infuriating.
It's okay......for now. Scratch that, it's not OK- updated review.
April 8, 2015
We're not horribly impressed with this monitor, but given the price and friends/family experiences with other video monitors, we found this to be the best choice in this price range. To clarify, we're on our second monitor- the first, like many other reviewers stated, started not charging and when it did charge, the battery would die very quickly. This is the biggest weakness of this monitor in my opinion- cheap battery and even cheaper charging cord. I'm not sure if it was the cord, the connection on the monitor, or the battery itself which failed. If we manipulated, pulled on and otherwise twisted the charging cord it would eventually start charging again (leading me to believe it was either the cord or the connectors), but it got to the point where it just didn't charge reliably and eventually stopped charging all together. It was a somewhat painful process to return the defective unit, but not too bad. The company responded relatively quickly to my email. We had the monitor for about 3 months before it failed and I had initially requested to just return it for a full refund, however, Foscam flat out refused my request and I was outside of Amazon's return window, so that was very disappointing- I would have given it 3 stars had they just let me return the thing for a refund. Instead, they offered to replace it but asked that I send the defective unit back first, which would have left us without a monitor- a tough position to be in with a new baby. After a bit of belly-aching with the rep, they instead offered to send me a replacement (it was clearly a refurbished unit) as long as they were able to put a $100 hold on my credit card until they received the old one back (I had to pay for shipping the defective unit back- they refused to pay for return shipping). Fine- I understand why, but the least they could have done was pay for return shipping. It took them more than a week after receiving the monitor to remove the hold from my CC. Moving on...We received the replacement unit and have been using it with varied success for a couple months now. Most of the time, it charges fine but every once in a while, it just stops charging- wiggling the cord where it plugs into the unit usually gets it to start charging again. I have little reason to believe this unit won't just stop charging just like the first one did as it's already exhibiting the same symptoms the first unit did. The company claims they "stand behind our products and will work to make you happy if the replacement fails", but again, I have little faith this is truly the case, otherwise they would have just let me return the first one for a refund as I requested to begin with (keeping in mind the unit was only 3 months old- didn't even get a chance to take the protective film off).Function wise, most of the current reviews pretty much sum up what we think about it. The feature we like most is the temperature display, and find that it's relatively accurate. The thing we dislike the most is the massive delay getting sound after we use the microphone feature to talk through the camera- it's literally 4-5 seconds of delay after releasing the talk button until you can hear the person reply (which you usually miss completely if it's a simple yes or no question) on the base station. We wish the base station displayed the time as well- would have been a nice feature. Video quality is just okay- nothing spectacular. The night vision works but is not very clear- works well enough though. Despite what they advertise you DO see visible red lights on the camera at night while in IR mode- they're not bright, but they are clearly visible and for a child, maybe a bit creepy. The resolution in a fully lit room during the day is quite good, but as expected, declines the darker it gets. The pan and tilt features operate very quietly and the internal mic in the camera turns off so you don't have to listen to it moving which is a nice feature, but again, the amount of time it takes for the mic to turn back on is excessive (the same 4-5 seconds).Overall, while we aren't thrilled with this monitor, given the features it has, along with the price, it's a solid contender in the video monitor market- it's the quality that we are disappointed with. However, I have family with high-end Summer Infant monitors ($300+) who have had nothing but problems with them, so it seems as though for some reason (perhaps my expectations are far too high), it's incredibly difficult to make a quality video monitor that doesn't have problems regardless of price point. I've certainly not sampled every single video monitor on the market, but the ones I do have experience with, have all had problems. I've deducted 3 stars because: Company was not willing to accept a defective product on return for a refund after only 3 months, I had to pay for return shipping for what was clearly a defective unit (I even cited the many amazon reviews that had the exact same problem), and the replacement is still having charging issues, albeit not frequently. Time will tell if the second monitor develops the same persistent problem as the first. I'll certainly update my review if it does.Update 6/2015: The button to turn the screen off has stopped working so we're no longer able to turn the screen off at night. This presents obvious problems. We continue to have sporadic charging problems with it as well. We continue to be disappointed by the quality of this monitor. Will update again when the next problem arises- see what I did there? I have little confidence this thing will last much longer without developing some other issue.Update 8/2015: I contacted Foscam regarding the non-functioning screen on/off button and they agreed to replace the monitor again. Excellent. After a bit of back and forth, I even got them to pay for shipping both ways, which is quite nice. However, the monitor I received as a replacement is different than the one it's replacing- slightly different, but it's significant in my opinion. Foscam has discontinued the feature to turn the screen on and off with the push of a button. They instead replaced it with a feature that plays 3 different lullaby's through the speaker on the camera. While some people might find this useful, I personally think this feature is absolutely ridiculous. What happens if you inadvertently press the music button in the middle of the night? That's right- you wake your baby up because a lullaby starts playing through the camera speaker (with no way to control the volume that I could find). Not only that, but if you do accidentally press that button, you can't simply turn it off with another push of the button, rather you have to cycle through the 2 other lullaby's before it turns off, so by now, your baby is fully awake and screaming. I'm at a total loss here. They removed one of the most important features this monitor had, and replaced it with an absolutely useless one. They could have at least informed me of this change before they sent the replacement- I would have told them not to bother. I'm really frustrated with this entire situation. I'm now left with a monitor that has problems and cannot be replaced with the same model that has the same features, because that single feature was discontinued. I suppose if you have appropriately low expectations, you'll probably be happy with this monitor. As for me? well, I'm now lamenting my decision to buy this thing and looking for something else. I'm laughing at myself, I suppose.Update 11/2015: The battery continues to degrade. When new, it lasted about 6 hours maximum on a full charge (which isn't exactly impressive to begin with). It struggles to last 3 hours now. Batteries Plus offers a replacement for a reasonable amount of money that we'll try. I'll update again after we purchase and use it for a bit.Update 2/2016: The monitor continues to have issues charging which keep getting worse. We've woken up several mornings to find the monitor was completely dead despite being on the charger- I can't even begin to express how disconcerting this is. The battery has also continued to degrade to the point where it barely lasts 2 hours now. While the Rayovac battery from Batteries Plus is a viable option as one other reviewer has indicated, my wife and I are now questioning if it's really worth it- I'm sure the Rayovac battery is loads better, but if the charging cord keeps loosing continuity and fails to charge, a quality battery is rather useless. I'll update again if I find a solution to the intermittent charging that doesn't involve sending it back to Foscam.Update 8/2016: SO.......I think I've found the ultimate problems with this little slice of hell that's caused me to beat my head against the wall multiple times. #1: Power cord- they're cheap and they eventually develop an intermittent contact problem between the wires that go to the monitor connector and the voltage regulator inside the plug (AND where the wires are joined to the monitor connector) I had to break the plug end to test and verify, but ours had a wire that was almost completely disconnected, so it was going in the trash anyway. I happened to have an AC adapter which had a similar connector with the correct output voltage/amperage that we now use (I'll update shortly so everyone knows output specs to look for and jack size). #2, and this is the major issue- cold solder joint between the charging jack and the circuit board. This one was difficult to find, as I had taken the monitor apart several times in the past looking for cold solder joints and I missed it several times. The solder joint must have completely broken at some point because the contact on the jack was not making ANY contact with the pad on the circuit board (and the monitor wouldn't charge at all, regardless of what we did). I do a lot of PCB soldering at work (mostly surface mount EPROM chips), so it was an easy fix for me. I removed the factory solder from BOTH joints, re-soldered and our charging problems are officially fixed. However, the factory battery is SO bad now, it only holds a charge for maybe 90 minutes if we're lucky. Now that we have the charging issue fixed, we'll go ahead and buy the Rayovac battery. Not sure if these problems are consistent across ALL of this specific model (kinda seems like it's affecting the vast majority of them and I'd go so far as to say ALL of their charging cords will eventually develop a problem), or if they have other issues, but after almost 2 years, hours of investigative testing and ultimately, a bad cord and a cold solder joint, we finally have a working monitor. I'm of the opinion that most of the charging problems are a result of the cheap charging cord they supply, but ultimately all of them will develop that same cold solder joint because you really have to manipulate the connector to get it to charge as a lot of reviewers have noted- movement causes fatigue which causes failure. Now to buy a battery that lasts longer than what they supply. So at the end of the day, unless you actually like buying a brand new product and fixing it's flaws (which includes buying a new battery and charging cord) so it works as advertised, I would have to recommend spending a little bit more money if you can and just buy a better monitor.Update 10/16: I've uploaded a picture showing the precise location of the cold solder joint. No additional problems to report and the unit is charging reliably now.
Terrible battery
March 25, 2015
The monitor is good, especially for the price. The battery life is pretty short and it only takes a month or so before you start to see it really dwindle to where you have to keep it hooked up to the cord after about 5 hours. It must be plugged in if you wish to have it on overnight. My biggest issue with it, and probably why I wouldn't buy it again, is the lack of ability to turn the screen off and still retain sound. It has a VOX mode but it is very very sensitive which means that it is not possible to have the screen off and just keep sound on. I like to have the monitor sound on at night but not the screen and have had to resort to putting the monitor face down to be able to accomplish this. Really wish that there was a way to do this, if they changed that one feature it would be a repeat purchase, if needed, for me.______A couple months later and I have to edit my review. I had to have the monitor replaced after 2 months due to inability to charge the unit. The next monitor they gave me lost the charge even faster and I have had to resort to purchasing another monitor because this one is pretty terrible. PLEASE DONT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING THIS MONITOR. I ended up getting the Foscam Wifi camera that runs off your smart phone. I considered this model when I made this purchase and really wish I had just bought that one in the first place.

After a couple months of use, the sound machine ...
June 11, 2017
After a couple months of use, the sound machine does not consistently work. There are times when we turn on the switch and it doesn't turn on. Now we are to the point in its life where it will turn on and off in the middle of the night. Upon investigation there is something faulty about the transistor knob used for the volume. But now it will change to other sounds randomly, I just witnessed it switching from fan to heartbeat randomly in the morning hours during sleep. Woke me right up, I wonder what it'll do for your l/o.
All the right sounds, when it works....
May 30, 2017
this is our third one of these sound machines by Homedics and the second one that has "gone bad" - it is like it has a short and sometimes just shuts off (without using the timer buttons). For the price, I guess I shouldn't ask for much, but I just wish they would last longer than 18-24 months.
Broken on delivery, non-responsive customer service
April 25, 2017
Purchased back in December but didn't actually take the machine out of the box until setting up the nursery last month. When testing the machine I found it only produced static noise regardless of which of the sound options are selected. The volume control also doesn't appear to work at all and its fixed a very loud level. Too late to return to Amazon I contacted the customer service on April 5th via email since I saw they had a 1 yr warranty to see if they could replace the defective unit but they haven't responded back now 20 days later. Needless to say I'm not very happy with this purchase.
... was on sale around the holidays and am very disappointed with it
February 1, 2017
I ordered this when it was on sale around the holidays and am very disappointed with it. In fact, we don't even use it! The sound quality is so terrible that no matter which option you choose it's going to be more obnoxious than beneficial.I bought this, because my one year old son was having trouble sleeping with all of the noise from outside (kids running around, a million trash trucks and delivery trucks driving by, dogs barking, etc.). I also like to have white noise to sleep (and always have), but I use a standup fan. I took the fan to my son's room and the difference in his ability to sleep at night was so tremendous that I have started looking for a white noise machine. But I couldn't even use it with him for one night, because the noises (his hearing is sensitive) from this machine startled him to no end and made him cry.If you're buying this to help a baby sleep, you might either want to invest in a higher quality product, or use a fan. We now have an air purifier in his room that stays on the highest functionality so it makes a constant white noise in his room.
Stopped working after a month and a half
November 28, 2016
Let me start by saying I loved this sounds machine when it was working properly. I purchased it in Oct of 2016 for my sons rooms - our previous sounds machine stopped working the same way, it was the same model but different brand (homedics)- so I thought I would try the mybaby. Its now the end of November 2016 and the machine has worked sporadically for the last two weeks. I have to play with the power cord to get it to come on and the heartbeat feature will randomly start playing when I have it set on "white noise". This is our third overall sound machine - little man broke the first one. I would love a machine with the same features that doesn't break down. Otherwise no more sound machines for us!
Volume control button issues
September 10, 2016
I liked the sound variety except the heartbeat sound which is too "tell-tale-heart" for me, but you can tell when the sound loops. Very disappointed with the volume control. It started to short out after a few months (of course after the warranty expired). First it was a static noise when you turned up the volume. Now the sound fades out and then turn back up on it's own. I opened up the back to try and see if there was some loose wire and could adjust and it is not fixable. UPDATE. It is now 16 months after purchase and the volume no longer works I had to throw this away. I will not buy another Homedics sound machine.

Splash Guard?? HA!
November 5, 2017
This supposed splash guard does nothing for a little boy who doesn't quite understand to push his private parts down. He managed to pee all over the floor, the book, himself several times before I decided to buy a toilet with a real splash guard. Now this is a real splash guard: Contours Bravo 3-in-1 Potty System - Potty,Toilet Trainer, Step Stool All in One, Removable High Soft Splash Guard, slip resistant Surface (Berry)
You get what you pay for, cheap.

Awful seat. For my first son, I bought a P.L. seat, it was amazing though expensive. I decided to go cheaper this time around and purchased this seat for my second son. When he put his hand on the white back of the chair to steady himself while he climbed on the seat toppled backwards and he lost his balance as well. I did have my doubts about it, as when I took it out of the box there was no weight to it. I returned it and will buy the seat I purchased for my other son.
Not infant-sized
August 22, 2017
No infant can use this - it's almost large enough for an adult!
Disappointed
August 12, 2017
Looks used 😑 Came scratched up with all the labels taped on and seat taped in place. Also it's red not pink.
Beware the paper label
June 27, 2017
Someone should tell the manufacturer that it's possible to obtain product labels with adhesive that doesn't leave a sticky residue. I tried everything: soap, nail polish remover... If I have to go out and buy rubbing alcohol, I'll just send it back.
Used potty received
June 27, 2017
I just received this with high hopes, but it looks used.
