Great Chair with Caveat
December 20, 2016
My 94 year old father has a little trouble driving it because the small turn radius causes the back to swivel the opposite way you mean to turn--which was confusing to him. He also tended to want to make it go faster than he should. At the assisted living place where he stays, residents must get checked out and get permission to drive motorized chairs & scooters in public areas as there have been lawsuits due to people residents into others. This is a powerful, heavy piece of equipment that needs to be driven with care.Nevertheless, for someone who doesn't have problems learning new things, this chair is a fantastic deal and fun to drive. I highly recommend it.

chair goes beyond my expectations!!!!!
Great price and great chair!
February 4, 2016
Great little chair. My 85 yr old mother(165#) is now able to get around her entire floor at the facility without waiting for an aid to wheel her. Easy to learn to use. I suggest you get PT in for a couple visits to help. Medicare did not pay for the chair but they paid for the PT. At this amazing price we didn't bother to jump through their hoops!

This chair has given my father a renewed sense of freedom to get where he needs to around the house, especially considering how narrow some of the passage ways are in this old house.
Greatest tool for mobilizing handicapped and Ez Lite stands behind their product.!
February 13, 2017
It's been about 2 yrs., since I purchased this chair for my mother. Her left side and limbs are incapacitated by a stroke. We tried the bulky carts and chairs, they really do not provide any freedom. You need a trailer hitch or van to transport just the chair.Once she is in theEz Lite chair she is gone! It provides great mobility on evenly floored, paved , and even hard packed trails. It even can go over most door thresholds up to maybe an inch. It is so compact, stable and turns on a dime. It is a powerful and endurable chair. Easy to stow in most trunks and hatchbacks. Will even fit in the backseat. Drives up wheelchair accessible ramps to handicap vans and buildings. Quality craftsmanship in construction, this is my opinion as a retired welder. The customer support has been a phenomenonal! I see bad reviews on customer support, I can't believe it! We have had nothing but courteous and swift response. If this chair was a character in a play, it would surely receive a standing ovation and BRAVOS. Hats off to Ez Lite for for support when needed. As long as the person who needs the chair, can operate a toggle and press the power and speed control buttons. They are free to go! Can't say enough thank yous for how it has freed us as family caretakers!
The EZ Lite Cruiser is the most useful portable electric wheelchair
April 12, 2016
I do enjoy my EZ Lite Cruiser as it is the smallest and most portable electric wheelchair I have found. I previously owned a tank of a electric wheelchair but got rid of it once I realized how useful the EZ Lite was. I purchased the chair here on Amazon in May of 2015 and have used it extensively while traveling and in day-to-day use. I have found it to be useful anywhere a larger electric wheelchair can be used (for example, Disneyworld!). It can be transported in the back of our small SUV without collapsing the chair and one person (i.e. my overworked husband) can easily load and unload it. We can take it right up to the plane door when flying, which is convenient. If you are planning on using this for long periods, I recommend having some sort of additional padding (like a removable pillow) for the seat.
GREAT CHAIR WITH OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SUPPORT
February 2, 2016
I took a month to order this chair. I watched the demo videos repeatedly, but was real nervous ordering a product this expensive direct from China. The recommendations finally convinced me with their glowing praise of customer service. My chair arrived a day earlier than quoted. Packed neatly in a foam-filled box with plastic straps. The battery arrived a day earlier by FEDEX. The chair was simple to set-up and use as the battery was already charged. I purchased the original chair because of it's narrow width. It is important to realize that even if the chair is smaller than the doorway you want to drive through, there may be issues. The swiveling front wheels will quickly use up your clearance, if you decide to reverse at the wrong time. Your angle of attack can cause issues, too. If you can drive straight through your doorway you will be ok, but if you have a narrow hallway and a right or left turn to enter your doorway, you may have a problem. Your spouse's scatter rugs may be driven over in one direction, but don't try any turns or reverses on them unless she wants to replace them. One added benefit of my chair is the solidly built arms. This is the only chair that I can sit in and then stand-up from, by myself [ALS]. The chair does not move backwards and the arms are a perfect height for me to push down on and stand-up. Service is great also, as my battery came in with a little damage to the clear covers on the leads, being melted by a soldering iron left to close. Service quickly sent me a replacement battery and a return label for the damaged battery.

Excellent product.
I love my EZ Lite Cruiser!!!
June 8, 2015
This is a great chair! I have been wanting to get this chair for over a year now. I am young and didn't want a big bulky heavy chair. I can't push myself in a manual chair so I needed a power chair. I have a disabling and painful condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and POTS a condition that causes my heart to go too fast when upright. I have been stuck in bed and at home for the last two years. My husband and children have been pushing me around in a manual chair for several years when I am able to go out and I am so grateful to them for doing that for me. But I wanted freedom. I wanted to go places that I couldn't go on my own. This chair is going to change my life and the life of my family. We didn't have to add anything to our vehicle so it would fit and my son's wheelchair and mine both fit in the back of our Odyssey easily. It takes up as much space as my manual did. I have been having a lot of fun zooming around. Now I can do so much more. It is easy to fold once you do it a few times. It's small and sleek. I have been using it for a week now and haven't had to charge it once. The battery is still full! I love the travel case. The cup holder has been great to have my drink next to me. The side bag is wonderful. It fits my purse right inside and has a great spot for my cell phone. I am so happy with this purchase. We already have enjoyed several outings that would not be possible without this chair. Thank you for making something that gives people their lives back.

As expected this is great!
June 28, 2017
This chair is as advertised: I have no problem lifting it and is mobile enough to easily navigate city terrain. I don't use it for travel (though I can): but it folds nicely. The shipping was a little annoying, coming in two parts, one of which was delayed, and honestly, the packaging was VERY robust: almost too much so.I am a bit nervous about speed, and so getting used to the joystick is a little hard, but starting at the lowest speed setting is a good way to work up. I've gotten into some awkward spots, but feel I can get out with my own strength and a little thought. One thing that bothers me is the smell of new plastic, and I was worried this chair would smell initially, but it worked out ok.
This is very good Portable wheel chair

This is very good Portable wheel chair. very nice but Some features need to be fixed properly like the Battery Bag is so flimsy that its not staying in place and the Flap keeps opening up. I Taped the Silver Tape Around it to keep it from Falling apart
Easy To Get In And Out Of Vehicle
June 13, 2016
Light weight portability. Works great on solid surfaces, not so well on grass or gravel. Foot rest needs to be extended. I purchased this chair for my 88 year old mother, she has degenerate disc disease, bad hip and can barely walk. It is wonderful to take her to the mall, zoo ect., however, her feet kept slipping off the foot rest so I added a piece of aluminum over the existing one to extend it. Now it works well. Would have give it 5 stars if foot rest had more depth. Not working well on grass or gravel is not a issue for us. Tires spin on grass, no traction.
Difficulty "opening", low speed too fast for use in my house.Getting Joystick programmer to resolve.
May 31, 2015
Received from China, 9 days to Massachusetts, only 2 days later than scheduled. Good condition. First day of use.Difficulty with the unit is "unfolding". The video shows it to pop open using their method. Didn’t work for me after several attempts. The Manual instructions for opening are different stating to "pull the armrests up". This contradicts their precaution list which says to never lift the unit by the armrests. After a struggle I manage to get it to open. Haven’t succeeded yet twice in a row.The lowest speed setting is too fast for me for household maneuvering, but if I can maintain a light touch I hope to succeed with practice.I have since talked with Michael at EZ Lite. He advised me I can reprogram the speed range with the Joystick programmer and I immediately placed an order. If you're having any problem I suggest you talk to him. Home use is a necessity and I really want it to work for me..I note that one of the drive wheels tends to lose traction on my carpet when making a tight turn thru a doorway making halted movement.
Customer Service was great
November 29, 2014
Customer service has been outstanding. I've had this product for about 6 months now. I'm happy with unit but even more pleased with the customer response I received when something went wrong. The unit itself is great for my needs inside my house. Its narrow enough to fit through even the narrow half-bath door in my bedroom. Although it requires scraping door jams with wheels so its not something great for the unit or my door jams. Not suggesting you treat those the same, but I wanted to give you an idea of performance. The rear wheels are protected by a small black fender, so it takes the scraping beating. The shopping-cart like movement of the front wheels make it possible for tight squeezes, but may also frustrate you when you're going backwards, not noticing your front wheels may turned sideways when you start. You'll get use to driving this though. However, if like me, your feet may be angled out to the one side...exposing it to the operation of a sideway turning front wheel.Recently, my control unit, that joystick box that you can connect to either handle, saw some too-soon wear. The buttons all sit on rubberized panel that started to un-glue and peel back at the seem. This allowed moisture to leak onto the circuit board. Luckily I was able to make it to my arm powered chair before the EZ Lite Cruiser shorted out and died. If not, I'd have to drag my po'ed self across floors,I emailed the rep I dealt with that hour...late on a Friday. Thanksgiving Thursday was next week. Got an response the next day, Saturday.....;said he'd make sure they priority mailed on out so I would have it by wed...before holiday Thursday. Which would mean I'd be much less mobile until post office opened back up. It made by Wednesday. The new unit looks the same, feels better, so I'll notch the issue as a one-off mishap for now.Its definitely not for use on grass, dirt and other natural, soft, surfaces. There is just not enough traction, But its not sold as such a unit anyway. And if your small rugs are not stuck to floor you'll have to choose between them and issue free wheeling around.I pushed it once. My backyard ramp ended in grass...I bravely rolled down, spun my wheels as iI powered toward driveway, and promptly hit a patch of pine straw, with one wheel, slopping downward. Unit lost traction and I was stuck. Luckily, I had my sell phone. I live alone. Great for hard surfaces though. I'm far more mobile around the house with this than arm-powered chair, and you can carry more stuff when both hands are not needed to move.Even though I'm no longer able to fold this myself, its well worth the price. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because my leg tightness often makes so the foot-stand does have enough angular movement to allow me to find a comfortable placement for my feet. Adding that ability while not taking away from the chair's concise design would be 5 star for me. But if you can place both feet flat on the stand, you'll be fine. Stay strong.
This chair moves nicely in tight spaces

This chair moves nicely in tight spaces. Not as light weight as advertised. Overall the chair is worth the price. Mine came with a flat front tire which Amazon replaced within two days. Customer service from the manufacturer is excellent.

Hard to fold/unfold
April 23, 2017
It is an excellent chair in many ways. When folded it is very compact. However folding it is not as easy as the videos depict and it is very baulky to unfold. I notice that my helpers are now not folding it because they sometimes are unable to unfold it. This is a nuisance. Luckily it is small enough to fit in most hatchback cars, but not trunks, when not folded. If it wasn't for the folding issue I would give it five stars.

Area of concern that potentially cause injury to patient.
October 2, 2017
Received the EZ Lite Cruiser in amazing time and very pleased with the chair. However, the poor rating is based on the problem that when the foot rest is raised, the metal edges on both sides of the bend are exposed and is sharp metal that could cause severe injury to an ankle or foot. I asked for assistance with the company and they suggested I modify by removing the foot rest bolts and stretch a wrist band over it and replacing it. Their response was that although it isn't a perfect solution, it could help. It seems that it is a area of concern to other purchasers also. I did not find this to be a suitable solution and unhappy with their customer support. An area that could cause injury should be of utmost importance to the manufacturer.
This Chair is for Contortionists
June 29, 2015
I purchased this chair for my husband who is handicapped. The foot rests on this chair are totally inadequate. You would need to be extremely agile or a contortionist to be comfortable in this chair with these foot rests. I therefore purchased the accessory foot rests for over $200. When they arrived they did not fit the chair. The company owner came to our home, checked that they did not fit, picked up the footrests and promised to let us know when replacements arrived. It has now been several weeks and I have made numerous phone calls and sent text messages to him. He has refused to take my calls or respond to my texts. Have I just been ripped off?. The chair with the foot rests that came on it is a disaster for my husband. He is a normal sized man 5ft 9 inches tall and weighs 160 lbs. I also have tried the chair with the existing foot rest and they are just as uncomfortable for me. I am 5ft 10inches tall and weight 175 lbs. Don't waste your money on this chair or be prepared to shell out an additional $200 for the accessory extensions which you may never get after paying for them.In addition to the foregoing, the chair does not open or close easily. We have to tug and pull on the opening lever and often it does not open or close. To avoid getting stuck away from home we generally just transport the chair fully open in the rear of our SUV. It is not foldable by the average person. The only reason I give this chair 2 stars and not 1 star is because once it is in motion it is easy to navigate. However, the discomfort of the foot rests means this is for short trips only.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
December 26, 2016
There are several chairs with this similar design on the market, and I have one of them, but EZ Cruiser had some of the accessories I needed that my chair maker didn't offer. I know that they would work on my chair because a friend of mine tried theirs. So I went on their website and ordered a few accessories--AND THEY REFUSED TO SELL THEM TO ME SINCE I DID NOT OWN AN EZ CRUISER CHAIR MYSELF--RIDICULOUS!!! WHO TURNS DOWN MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS? LMAO. REALLY, REALLY, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Would now NEVER BUY one of their chairs. I can only imagine how they treat customers that have maintenance or repair issues if they treat potential customers this badly. I wish I could give them ZERO STARS!

Chinese Junk
June 10, 2014
This product was delivered with the left rear wheel improperly installed. The tire would rub on the frame and would "wobble" when in operation. The chair would not climb the wheelchair ramps (A.D.A. specs) in our home. BUYER BEWARE.
Ezlite cruiser was not what it was made out to be
January 24, 2014
my original ezlite cruiser review had to be eliminated for a variety of non performance reasons, and in fact all the wonderful things I said about it should have applied to the originator of the design, KDsmartchair
