This chair is the best $20 something bucks I've ever spent. I bought some 550 cord and used it to hang this chair from a tree branch near my daughter's swingset so I have a place to sit while she plays. It is so comfortable and relaxing. Half the time she gets off the swingset to come sit on my lap. She has fallen asleep in the swing with me a few times! I was worried how it would hold up in the rain (we live in Florida and it rains almost every day), but it's been fine. It dries very quickly and still looks like new after several months out in the tree. I have recommended this chair to so many people!

Bought this for my son (7y) that is on the spectrum! He is always wanting to sit or hug on me and sometimes it's just too hot and he's also getting heavier! 😊 This gives him that comforting feeling and I can sit and enjoy my wine!! He loves it!! It is very well made and takes a few minutes to put together!! 5 stars

I bought two of these swings - the other is the multi color red stripe. I was not expecting very much when I ordered these to be honest. I had bought the cheaper rope chair version previously and it was horrid (see my review of that separately). Consequently I ordered these because my kids were so upset over the loss of their rope chairs. When these swings first came out of the box I was very pleased with the thick fabric and sturdy seams. I wish the roping was poly and not cotton since it will not fray however, it can be replaced eventually if I need to. The wood hanging rod is solid and smooth. The rope hanger loops need to be threaded onto the rod - I found that the swing loops should be threaded first THEN the hanger piece last. There are no instructions that came with the swings however, it is simple common sense really. I hung these from the existing swing set and my kids absolutely love them. The sides are individually strung so they mold to your body as you sit in it. The pillows are very soft and plump but not really necessary. Neither of my kids use the pillows as they found it more comfy without them. They were nearly double in price of the rope chairs but the quality is far and away superior and thus absolutely worth it. As for sizes, I cannot attest to the comfort of anyone bigger than I am but I am 5'2" and about 115lbs and it fits me perfectly. I was almost asleep in it yesterday as I lounged in the sun. My kids are 9 and 6 and they have a lot more room in the swings so they can almost lay down inside them. They curl up with a book or an ipad and are completely content. If you are looking for a hammock chair this is a good choice.

Great swing for the price. We still have it a year later and sit on it regularly.

Great swing. We bought this to put at the end of our property near the river. The chains were a little short for where we were putting it; but were the right size for the metal frame we have another swing on. So it will work just perfect for any porch swing frame. We hung this one from a tree so we just added a little more rope before the chains started to get the height we wanted. Holding up beautifully. We pained ours with a marine outdoor paint because it will be in the weather, but still holding up great.

Beautiful....bought this for my grandmother fir her birthday and for mothers day....I snuck over to her house on my lunch and put together in 30 minutes. All without breaking a sweat. Instructions quick and easy....and the end result is amazing and beautiful. Yep its a swing but thus product has great craftmanship.

Very beautiful and sturdy swing. It's comfortable and my wife is already enjoying her birthday gift. The color was great, but of course my wife wanted it red, so I painted it and now she loves it even more. The chains were too short and I had to go buy longer chain, but that's ok it was worth the smile on my wife's face when she came home and saw her new porch swing.

We bought this and put it up right away! For $99 and free shipping, this is a fantastic swing (I think a lot of consumers need to adjust their expectations...we want everything for next to nothing). Yes, the instructions aren't the most user friendly, but if you tap into your Lincoln Log days, you can figure it out without problem. As other reviewers recommended, we cut a scrap piece of wood to fit under the middle part of the butt area for extra support (it did feel like it needed it)and now it is as sturdy and comfy as can be. It does help to have two people to put it together (as with most assemble yourself things), and we threw a couple pillows on it and now have a cute little front porch swing in Juneau!

The swing came nicely packaged in the box with enough protection to keep the product from shifting or scratching during transit. The directions were easy to undertand, but did lack some visuals. Despite the lack of visuals, there are not very many steps and it is pretty intuative to put together. The only issue was that there are two seat supports, as mentioned in an earlier review, that are not mentioned at all in the instructions. Simply take the wood screws, align the seat support brackets underneath the seats and screw them in. I did not drill pilot holes, I just used very low RPM on my drill to ease the screws in and had no problems with any splitting. I placed the two supports about 1/3 of the way in from each side to make them symetrical. The finish on the swing looks great, it comes with the chains to hang it, so the only thing I needed to grab at the hardware store were some hooks to hang in the ceiling of our porch. Overall, I would say this is a nice swing and a very fair price for the quality.

I don't think we will get off of these all spring! I bought two to hang on my porch and they are so much fun! It took a little bit to find a comfortable position partly because I thought they would come up over my head. It pretty much stops at my shoulders and I am 5'2", however, after a few adjustments it was great. I recommend using the pillows in the position they are in the picture, if you want to sit more upright. Without the pillows it is more cozy for snuggling in, you just have to find the right spot so you can rest your head or hold it comfortably. My husband is about 6" and has a large build, he sat down and felt completely comfortable at once. He said it didn't bother his neck or head and really felt comfortable on his shoulders. We hung them with chains and carabiners to attach to the rope and it works great! (We already had the hooks and chains on our porch from our porch swing, just added some carabiners from the garage.) Another point to mention, the bars are 3 feet long, which is no problem for me, but wider than I thought they would be. They are made of all cotton, so I don't anticipate them lasting more than a summer or two, but who knows? And, for the price, they are WELL worth it!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend them and I'm looking forward to spending many pleasant days sitting with my family!*1month later: the ropes hanging them up are not holding up well. We still love them but need to find a way to replace the ropes.

I bought this for my 14 year old son & so far he loves it. The wooden bar is thicker than it looks in the photo, which I was happy about since a few people said it seemed weak. So far our doesn't seem to be bending or cracking. The swing does tilt to one side slightly - seems like the blue ropes attaching to either end of the bar are not quite even. Also the pillows are not attached & for some reason I expected them to be. It is really just a small hammock with a couple of pillows.

It's not all that comfy. the fabric is slightly scratchy and presses into your legs a bit. It looks pretty good, tho - just like the pic. it seems sturdy. For the price, it's a good value. i enjoy hanging out and reading in it at night.i hung mine with clothes line rope rather than a chain. We recently ordered a "C-Swing" to hang a chair that we bought in Costa Rica. The chair drug the bottom of the C. We tried hanging some old sky chairs with the same results. I ordered this chair hoping it would fit and it does. I'm 170 pounds and there is close to one foot of clearance when I sit in it. The fabric is softer than I imagined it would be and I am overall happy with the purchase. What is disappointing is the wooden bar. It is actually visibly bent and bends a bit more when either my wife or I sit in the chair and I really don't feel that safe in it. I will be replacing that piece, which I feel I shouldn't have to but it's not that big of a deal for me.

It is a good purchase for fun alternative seating. We purchased two of these hammock chairs foe our 12 year old and any visiting friend. It will hold an adult but being 50, it not going to be comfortable for any extended sitting. We recently had a remodel and asked the contractor to install connectors to the support beams. I also purchased the porch swing springs and Extra heavy duty clips. My contractor did not like the wooden rod. His concern was it wouldn't hold a heavy adult and any fall to concrete can result in injury. He recommended we connect the chair directly to the beam rings and use a welded chain to adjust height. I installed as originally designed and will regularly check for wear. It was intended for kids to use. The fabric is as pictured. The pillows are flimsy and will need better stuffing. I did paint the wooden rod to protect it. I have it hanging in our covered lanai. My daughter enjoys time in it. I weight 100 lbs and can sit in it a short time before my neck starts to bother me. My Harley is way more comfortable than that chair. I do recommend it it others if you have a young back. It was a great buy and no shipping fee with Prime.

I purchased two of these hammock chairs at the beginning of the summer. I didn't want to spend a lot because I wasn't sure they would work out on my deck.(I have a pergola over the deck thatthey hang from.) If they didn't work out, at least I didn't invest too much money. They worked out beautifully! Although they are made of cheaper fabrics than the higher priced ones, I have no real complaints. The wooden poles that they hang from are a "raw" wood so I painted them with a good outdoor paint. Although they are made out of a Haitian cotton and it's recommended that they do not stay out in the rain, I have left them out on many occasions with no problems. I still do try to take them down when I know an extended period of bad weather is due. I don't want to push my luck! On the whole, I am very happy with them. It's an inexpensive, fun and comfortable addition to my deck.

While it's not the BEST quality, it certainly provides an excellent porch swing for such a low price! I had a bit of trouble getting the pieces all in the correct places, but with a bit of trial and error I got it put together rather quickly. I hung it on an old play set in lieu of the swings and it looks great! I would say it's really only meant for one, maybe two people, as it's not incredible sturdy. Long story short, you get what you pay for and this swing is definitely worth the price.

Really cute for front porch I wish it said the dimensions of the chains because we had to go to Home Depot to buy the chains since they are too small. So be aware that you might end up spending a little more due to also buying the hooks to hang it with. But other than that the wood seems decent. Just noticed the price went down we actually got it for $100

The installation instructions (one page with three simple illustrations) left steps to the imagination, including not even mentioning some pieces or distinguishing where the small two bolts go (hint, the front-facing slat). I'm dinging a half star for the instructions. If you've ever assembled IKEA furniture, you'll be able to do this.Assembly took less than an hour and it's easily a one-person job. I don't recommend using power screwdrivers as you'll either strip the soft screws or over-tighten. All parts were included and the package arrived undamaged.I replaced a rusted out metal swing with this wood swing. The old metal stand was still good so this worked well with it. I saw several reviews mentioning that the included two chains weren't long enough. They were plenty long with extra links for my installation as you can see in the photo. I guess if you were hanging this from a porch ceiling then it might be tight or a little short.The look of the wood is nice, but I do have concerns about the long-term durability simply because it's wood. The lack of a mid-point support structure under the bottom seating slants concerns me and there was a bit of creaking when I first sat down on it (hey, I'm not THAT heavy), but it held up fine. As this swing will be open to the elements, I'll probably invest in a cover for the rainy Pacific Northwest winter or just detach it and store it on my covered back porch (how ironic).

OK. So the swing seems to be pretty good for the money. We bought our last one from Garden Ridge for a little less, but it wasn't coated. It had like a preservative stain, but no coating. Anyway, this one looks like it will hold up a little better.Here's the main problem. Just like the other reviewers stated, the chains are waaay too short. They are not even the same as the ones in the picture. The swing only includes 2 chains, and you are supposed to hang the swing from the middle link on each side. If you did that, the chain would only rise to the sitter's head. So unless you are a parakeet, this won't work for you.Fortunately, we still had the ones from the old swing. But why would they do this? If they want to save the $0.35 on the needed chain links, why not just sell it without the chains at all--and mention that clearly in the listing. Either way, you are not hanging the swing without some extra chain.The only other problem is the single 3x5 sheet of instructions, which consists of three illustrations without any actual instructions. It just slows you down a little.

I love this bench! An incredible bargain, and it is so much more comfortable than the old-fashioned cast iron-ended bench it replaced because of the depth of the seat and the angle and height of the backrest - all perfect. It was very easy to assemble. Mine did not have the extra support pieces that other reviews mention, and I don't see any need for additional support for the bench slats, so I wonder if the specs have changed (more substantial slats). The finish is not great - almost poor - but I planned to add my own coat of marine varnish anyway since I'm hanging this under a tree, vulnerable to all weather. I love that it came with high quality hardware including long chains and all the S-hooks needed.

the chair is not extremely sturdy and the wood dowel bar broke after a week and we had not exceeded the weight limit on it. replaced the wood bar with a sturdier one but disappointed with the quality.

I like this swing and the quality seemed to be ok, but after only a few days of my girls using it the rope loop at the top un-raveled and I have no idea how to fix it? I am sending it back. Had the rope stayed together I would have been very happy with it. It holds the weight well and was really fun!

Overall kinda meh. You get what you pay for. I liked the look, functionally ok, but not the most comfortable for me at 6', 220 lbs. Held my weight fine, but I foresee it not lasting past one or two summers. I returned and spent less than 10 more for a sturdier canvas type.

Sturdy chair. Well constructed. Only reason it's not 5 stars is I almost feel like it's a little small? I'm 5 foot 3 inches, 130 pounds so this is a little surprising. Its not that I don't fit, it's just that all I can do is sit perfectly straight in this chair. I was a little disappointed when I tried tucking a leg under me and I couldn't. Wish it had a few extra inches of width so I could sit cross legged in this chair. Wondering if a bigger person wouldnt fit in this chair. Besides that, well made and will probably last a long time. I bring mine in after use to avoid damage by the elements. Oh, the wooden bar is very thick and very sturdy - I mention this because I read a negative review mentioning a thin bar and I am surprised. Perhaps they upgraded the bar?

Great construction, cute color combo, easy to hang, but just WAY TOO SMALL for a normal-sized adult. You can definitely sit in it and it will hold you up just fine, but unless you are quite wee, it's definitely not a cozy, loungy experience. Mostly it will just make you sad you didn't spring for a full-sized hammock. Fun for kids, who can use it as a swing.

We weren't that impressed. It was unraveling a bit and was a little more floppy than we had hoped. It was decently comfortable, just not what we were hoping for.

It was a lot smaller than what I was expecting and the chains are just a little too short but it can hold two average sized adults on it. It's a very pretty swing and i use it frequently. It's just on the small side and feels like it's trying to bend under heavy weight.

This swing is nice looking and cheap but there are some cons to consider if purchasing. The chain that comes with the swing is useless. It is much too short to hang anywhere. This is a shame since the color of the chain matches the swing better than the current one I have. I bought a swing hanging kit from lowes and the chain that is included in the kit works well for hanging. You get what you pay for with the wood, it is pretty in color but flimsier than what some more expensive swings may come with. Still it is holding up to a good amount of weight without breaking or cracking. Our swing did have a small crack in one of the more decorative pieces of wood so it does not harm the function or integrity of swing but I know from reading other reviews that this is a common problem. Overall I love the look of the swing and for the price I paid I am happy with what I received but it was annoying having to buy a new chain in order to hang it. I recommend it To those looking for a cheap pretty swing but if you have some extra cash to spare I would recommend investing in something else that may hold up better over time.

Well this little guy could have had 4 stars with just an adequate set of instructions! Nothing but pictures. I am an adequate wood worker but a rather accomplished assembler :). For those with experience in assembly of boxed furniture, piece of cake. If you are not, you might need guidance. First of all, you will need to stop by your lumber yard/hardware store for a few things:1. a bottle of Loctite thread locker (I recommend blue so you can replace boards if you need to)2. some dark Old English for touch ups3. a small flat L bracket with 1/2 or 5/8 screws.None of the nuts on this are nylock (locking) nuts nor are there any lock washers. Use will loosen your bolts if you do not take steps with some Loctite. As with most boxed furniture items, dings occur. I have a few dings on mine so I used a little dark Old English and they disappeared :). The design is pretty straight forward and nice except for a pinch point in the middle of the front of the seat. The have a long vertically mounted board under the front of the seat's beveled flat board and I had quite a bit of bowing in mine. Just a note here, they have all of the seat boards marked with a B, make sure you keep the one and only B board with a beveled edge for the front of the seat. I put a small L bracket in (drill pilot holes to prevent splitting) to eliminate the pinch point and add a nice bit of additional structural strength.All in all, with a little extra effort, this is a nice little seat that you can make a great little seat with just some very minor attention to details.

I bought this swing eight months ago and about 4 of those months the swing is outside 24/7 and across the street from the ocean. And the other 4 months the swing is in a closed storage building. Considering these elements the finish has held up well, the wood is sturdy and it looks attractive still. Two adults can comfortably swing. The reasons for only 3 stars is: the chain and the instructions. My handyman put it together and said the directions were sadly inadequate. The chain was also inadequate and in our case unusable. It is too short. We bought a porch swing chain replacement set at a hardware store and that added $25 to the price of the swing.

Overall the swings look great and get the job done. You will have to purchase some small links of chain and the corresponding hardware to hang the swings. The build instructions could be a little better but if you have a bit of common since you can figure it out. Also, the swings are just big enough to seat two normal sized people. I am happy with the swing.

I read all the other reviews and I'd have to agree with them. Some said they got an extra piece of wood which many ended-up attaching under the seat for extra support. They were lucky, beings I didn't receive that. I'm afraid that if someone heavy sits in the middle section of the seat, one might hear some boards cracking. I just may buy something extra for more support under the seat.I'd say the pictorial instructions are poor and leave you wondering if you're assembling it correctly. Having said that, the assembly was easy and thanks to a customer's picture of the final assembly, I was able to figure it all out.It's a good product but not great.

This product did not hold up for even 8 months - and we didn't use it all summer as we were outdoors.The top part across the bar, one of the side came apart therefore the swing no longer functions.Boo! We bought it for our autistic son and now he can't use it anymore.Bummer. Will not buy another one to replace it seeing it didn't even last a year.

It did not break, it did not tear, it worked pretty damn good at holding my 240 lbs frame. I am not going to return it but I do have some bad things to say about this chair and the people that sell it.The picture is not the product you get. The picture has two pillows but the only way the picture could be the same is if you took two sets of pillows and stacked them one on top of the other. I could of purchased the same thing for a few dollars less but the picture made me believe that this product would be better. They are probably the exact same product but the other picture was more realistic. I don't know why the materials are so cheap and not a bit stronger so that it would last. So I would ask the seller of these to "Please take the photo picture off and replace it with the real product. (Stop deceiving people.)

I bought this chair and didn't use it for 3 weeks, it looked good and exactly what I wanted. However, when we took it camping and put it on the chair stand it wouldn't hang straight. It was crooked and no matter what we did we couldn't get it to hang straight. When we returned from our trip, it was 2 days past the Amazon return deadline. I attempted to contact Amazon and the seller but I guess I'm stuck with this one.

I wish the information would have said the pillows are not attached. They are flimsy. I think it is going to be hard to keep them in place.I also think the wooden bar is going to be in my headroom. I ordered the spring that was suggested and it is over kill for this flimsy chair!!! I don't think it's going to allow much of a bounce, I will have to pick one up from the local hardware store..I will let you know how it goes....

From the picture I expected this hammock to be more contoured. It is also sort or short and difficult to find a cozy position. But then it was not very expensive. The only reason I bought this over the "rope type" was because my dogs kept playing with the rope hammocks (which were more expensive and more comfortable)

We've had this for 32 days and it started to fray already. I'm having to knot the broken rope pieces together for it to hold. I'm 2 days beyond the return policy. :( I hope it still holds up but I would not buy again. We put it inside every night so I don't know why it is falling apart so easily.

I ordered two of these swings. They arrived right on time BUT one was totally fine. The other not so much. Part of the swing was broken and we got no hardware with it. We got the chain to hang it with but nothing to put the swing together with. No not only was the swing a little broken but no hardware to put it together. Not too happy right now

The wood if of very poor quality. There are rough spots on the seat that catch on your clothing and plastic wood filler was used in spots to smooth out blemishes. It was overpriced for the quality.

Very very poorly built. The wood stain doesn't match in color at all. The back compared to the seat looks completely different. The manufacturer uses way too much glue. The glue oozes out of the pockets where the wood meets the top and bottom of the back rest. Overall I'll never buy anything from this company or manufacturer.

I purchased 2 of these to go at either end of my herb/flower garden. I did not expect them to be the best quality or finish being they are so inexpensive. They are not actually inexpensive they are cheap. Gaps between pieces due to poor craftsmanship and the gaps are filled with wood putty. Very poorly made.

The wooden cross rod broke the first time I sat in the chair causing me to fall on the concrete. Under the wrong circumstances someone could get hurt. This product is made with inferior wood which is the main structural component of this chair. This should not be sold unless there is a redesign. Extremely dissatisfied! If I could, I would give it "zero" stars

This swing I really debated in buying and I would return it but by the time I pay for shipping it wouldn't be worth it. As other reviews had said the string on it was tore when we revived it, and I would leave the seller feedback but my app does not have a seller feed back button.

Does not support any sort of weight, had a 45lb kid use it and it broke, causing injury. I used heavy duty supports on a laundry post ( metal) for support and the material shredded after a few minutes of a child sitting in it, calmly. Not impressed, nor will I recommend.

I ordered a pair of these last year and we loved em! Loved em so much we bought another pair for some friends. They arrived in a different state than the 1st pair. The last ones were of a dangerously cheaper and flimsier construction. I witnessed two falls in these poorly made chairs. BTW: I know they were installed correctly because I installed all 4 of these chairs. I would not recommend these chairs to anyone who is not a professional stunt person.

This is a terrible chair! We bought it right before we left for a long trip. (During the returnable timeframe). We put it up this last week. Not only did the wooden piece fly out when my same 4 year old sat on it, then in a matter of 5 days it completely broke on him too. The rope that attaches to the rope loop the wood goes on was attached with the tiniest piece of string. Not happy that this only last a few day! Horrible horrile horrible!!

I don't understand. I purchased one of these chairs from a different vendor and it was perfect. Large enough for myself to sit in comfortably. I am a 5'11 185 pound grown man. So I ordered another chair. The first vendor was out of stock so chose a new vendor and the second one arrived much smaller. The ropes to hang on the second one are thinner. The fabric that makes the chair portion is much smaller in size. And the dowel rod is thinner and not as long. Nowhere in the description does this chair look any different. In fact Amazon suggested the second vendor for the purchase. The smaller chair barely fits my 7 year old son. How disappointing.

I know you get what you pay for but this swing was such poor quality that it's not even worth the price. The panels were all poorly fit together with some sort of peeling glue. Frankly I could build a better swing with no previous experience with wood-working! Such shoddy craftsmanship and shipped poorly too. We barely unpackaged it before realizing we'd have to return it. No way it could support anyone without snapping in half. We simply pushed on the bars and they almost broke with that minimal weight. Don't waste your time buying this product.

Just unpacked the swing and the back is not assembled very well. Not very good manufacturing quality control. Gaps are showing between the frame and supports. Everything else in the box looked good. Pictures included. Will be sending it back.Replacement swing showed up today(Aug 17) and was damaged. Rejected the delivery. Picture included. Box looked like it had been through a grinder and the wood was damaged inside the box. Amazon is 0 for 2 on this product. Guess I'll have to start looking someplace else for a porch swing, not sure Amazon can deliver one in one piece.

Very poorly packaged. Lucky nothing was missing considering all of the holes in the box. Backrest assembly had completely fallen apart. I ended up gluing and reassembling it. Chain is way too short to hang the swing at a useful height. Cheap junk!

This swing is not made well. The wood does not fit together and have a smooth look. It comes with very short chain and more must be added unless you want to climb in to it off a ladder. The wood seems weak as well. I sanded it down and painted it white hoping to improve it and feel that I wasted my time. It may last 1-2 seasons. I wish now I had of paid more and received a better product. I would not recommend this swing to another buyer.

Very poor quality. Broken wood, poor wood putty job connection inner pieces of back rest, overall I'm highly dissatisfied with quality/workmanship.

Yes, I know this is an inexpensive swing, and you get what you pay for. Having said that and having spent $100 on this, I still don't feel I did. The fit and finish is terrible. The bottom seat boards were so warped, a couple of them were bowed almost an inch out (and one bowed outward, the other bowed inward). The pre-assembled pieces have huge gaps between the parts, and it looks like the manufacturer attempted to fill them with putty after the finish was applied. Speaking of finish, it is very poorly applied- the thing looks used although it is brand-new. Lastly, the chains were way too short. The ceiling on my porch is 8 feet, which is pretty much standard, and I would've needed at least another 2-3 feet of chain on each side to hang it properly. I doubt there are very many porches with 6-foot ceilings, and the manufacturer calls this a porch swing. The hanging hardware also does not include springs.
