Five Star Reviews: | 58% This is a fantastic product. Very easy setup December 29, 2016 This is a fantastic product. Very easy setup. Very easy to use. My grandson loves this and seems to want to go out every evening and enjoy the universe. Highly recommend for educational purpose and family entertainment. Nice value, well designed September 4, 2015 This was a gift for an 11 yr. old beginner astronomer. Notice the lenses are very clear with no smudges, unlike some other bargain telescopes. Easy to assemble. Includes full size tripod, two refractory lenses and two Barlow lenses, making this quite a complete and versatile scope.Ideal companion book, "50 Things To See With A Small Telescope". You'll get more use out of your new telescope and well worth the price! | 63% Arrived nice and fast August 17, 2017 Arrived nice and fast, and for my first telescope ever it's awesome, it works fantastic, the family and I love takin out, we have to make do with the park in our town, we can see the ring around saturn and jupiter with its moons all lined up, can't wait to buy more eyepieces for it and a camera holder, that's why there isn't any pictures to put here Very happy. Might be a bit tricky for someone with ... August 3, 2017 Very happy. Might be a bit tricky for someone with no experience at all but it's far far better than my first scope from years ago. The sight is especially helpful. It's very easy to use. Some have commented that there is no rear alignment reference. This is because it's not required. Just look in the sight. The red spot always points where the sight is pointing. No need to be exactly behind it. You do need to align the sight with the scope as mentioned in the instructions. The one down side is that it does not accept front filters too easily. The front of the main tube is molded plastic that is curved somewhat. This creates an issue with the mounting of front filters. I made some minor mods to make it work for a sun filter. Amazing amateur telescope January 6, 2017 With only this telescope and a cell phone, we took this. It works REALLY well. I am impressed. Highly recommend it! March 20, 2016 This was a gift for my Nephew who lives in Montana...in the mountains above Helena. He just loves it !!! Highly recommend it ! |
Four Star Reviews: | 15% Looks good so far February 20, 2017 Looks good so far, we are going to test it out tonight. My 7 year old is very excited. Christmas 2016 present - will follow-up with a full review after November 4, 2016 I bought this telescope for my 7 year old granddaughter for Christmas 2016. Currently rated 4 stars because we have not set it up for use yet. Will follow-up with a review after Christmas. It was packed securely for shipment; after looking in the box I did not see any broken pieces, etc. From others' reviews I think it will be a good beginner telescope for her. No assembly instructions included. November 16, 2015 Looks nice, but no instructions on how to put it together included in package. Had to download them. They really weren't all that much, so do not understand why they could not have been included. | 22% first telescope February 1, 2017 a good newbie telescope..I am a newbie.. took a while to find the moon, it was in a small cresent phase. when i was able to find the moon, the image was bright and well focused. spotting scope is "iffy". it was this or more ammo !!!! After putting it together it works great. NOTE November 29, 2016 After putting it together it works great. NOTE: Watch videos on how to operate, read the directions, find someone to teach you! You can see Saturns rings, but not knowing how to set the auto horizon motor keeps you looking for Saturn! This is an excellent BEGINNER telescope May 24, 2016 My telescope came early and well packaged. This is an excellent BEGINNER telescope. Works very well on large objects like the sun and the moon. I also use it for spotting game. Do not let the assembly of the telescope intimidate you. The hardest part was installing the center support/storage tray on the tripod. There are several instructional videos on Youtube on how to assemble and properly use this telescope. Excellent investment for good fun with the family. |
Three Star Reviews: | 8% KIDS TELESCOPE? MAYBE FOR ALBERT EINSTEIN JR. September 16, 2017 Don't expect a kid to use this. Way too many pieces and not very sturdy. If you expect a kid to use it, it should be much simpler. KEEP LOOKING. A little disappointed. Seems good quality but June 12, 2017 We have yet to use this. There are NO instructions on how to use it or what to do with each piece. Searched everywhere online and still never found anything..not even a youtube video on how to use it. A little disappointed. Seems good quality but, wouldn't know. Real hard time tuning in to whatever they're looking at ... May 11, 2017 Real hard time tuning in to whatever they're looking at but they are young and impatient. It's hard for me too but I only have full, vision in one eye The telescope came in good packaging but directions for assembly were online only December 26, 2016 The telescope came in good packaging but directions for assembly were online only. I cannot find directions for use and for someone who hasn't used a telescope in years, I really need those directions!Until we can figure this thing out, there are two very frustrated adults and three disappointed kids. This may be a wonderful telescope, but for the money July 4, 2016 This may be a wonderful telescope, but for the money, can't we get printed instructions in the box? What about us folks with no internet at home? Cheap-os | 7% Pretty good scope October 22, 2015 Pretty good scope. Hard to find what you wanna see though. I think like a lot of things you really get what you pay for. |
