Five Star Reviews: | 82% Solid and Easy to Clean January 11, 2017 I use this to flatten burgers on the grill. It's a solid hunk of metal that is easy to clean. Just be careful to use an oven mitt when you take it off the grill!! Works just like I hoped June 26, 2015 Works just like I hoped. Bacon is flat and crisp, burgers are pressed and juicy, etc. Just be careful of the handle, 'cause it will get hot, just like a cast-iron fry pan. Perfect for hamburgers, Kielbasa or bacon (on a griddle). May 14, 2015 Love these. I have two. Warm them up when I preheat the gril and then when I throw hamburgers, Kielbasa or bacon (on a griddle) I place one of these on top for searing heat on both sides. Only downside is they take awhile to heat back up so you don't get the same sear if you put it on the second steak. Great function at reasonable price December 5, 2013 I'd been eyeing similar items from fancy brands like Le Creuset but could never justify the price tag. On a whim I looked up if Weber made something similar and presto! at a fourth the price. Granted these are a bit smaller, but they are the right size for any individual cut of meat (steak, chicken breast). I love that they have no heat sensitive parts (some similar items have wooden handles, how is that a good idea??). I just throw these on the grill with the lid down to get them nice and hot (those similar competitors would probably just catch on fire). | 44% Five Stars August 29, 2017 The press arrived on time and in good shape it is definitely up to Weber quality standards No more mis matched shapes and sizes. Now all the burgers are the same! July 13, 2017 Perfectly shaped burgers every time. No more some too big and some too small. Now they are all just right.Works like it should. Would buy this again. I have tried to replace it multiple times but no other options worked better. I even use the 1/4 side to make ... June 2, 2017 I had one of these awhile ago and I accidentally threw it away. This popped up on my amazon and I was so excited. I have tried to replace it multiple times but no other options worked better. I even use the 1/4 side to make two patties out cheese in the middle and push the two parties together on the 1/2 lb side. Works great for stuffed burgers! Thumbs up. Must have for a griller April 19, 2017 Well-made, works great, cleans up easily and makes two size patties. Simple but effective September 3, 2015 This is very simple, but it works great! I use it almost daily with great results. You do need wax paper squares that are available on Amazon to keep the meat from sticking. I leave it on the patties and store them in a ziplock bag for use during the week. I can do 4 patties in 15 minutes. Because they are always the same, I know exactly how long to grill them. Try it with salmon patties August 3, 2015 SO uses this for hamburgers, and it works great, but I like using it for salmon patties. You want to drizzle a little oil in the top, so the patties come out easily, but it's way easier to form a uniform salmon patty in this baby than it is with my hands, and they come out nice and big too. | 77% Love it! August 28, 2017 This is a must have! Grilling vegatables, half heads of Romaine, fish, burgers. Love it! Fits my Weber grill well. August 12, 2017 Nicely done. Fits my Weber grill perfectly - takes up one side. Decent finish. Perfect addition to my Weber grill December 8, 2016 Perfect addition to my Weber grill! It's great for cooking vegetables, shrimp, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, smash burgers*, chicken phillys, po'boys... It works fantastic! Like everything Weber makes September 4, 2014 Like everything Weber makes, it's great! Weighs a TON! You will get a small workout every time you pick it up. Excellent quality and cooks perfect, even heat distribution across the entire surface. Worth the extra money for sure. Awesome Griddle July 12, 2013 This is a brilliant way to make grilled onions, peppers and other ingredients while cooking other things on the regular grate beside the griddle. I make use of it almost every time I grill, and the results have been fantastic so far. Some of my best meals in years, better than most restaurants. If I have one complaint, it's that the sides are a bit short, which makes it easy to drop some foods into the grill while stirring them around. But this is a very minor complaint, and I got used to dealing with it very quickly. Weber strkes again! February 20, 2013 This grill is the best griddle you could wish for; it fits the Genius 310 perfectly. I have used it to cook bacon, sausage, potatoes, vegetables, eggbeaters, and eggs over easy, scrambled, hard flat. I have made great Cuban sandwiches, grilled cheese, French toast and pancakes while using the other side for whatever else I wanted to use the grill for at that time.Update: 03/22/2014 If it were possible I would rate this grill at 10 stars. I have used this griddle for over one (1) year now and I continue to use it on an almost daily usage. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 8% Bacon Press November 10, 2013 Helps cook the bacon evenly and keeps it flat so if you wanted to put it on a sandwich, you can get maximum length from your bacon! I had been wanting one of these for awhile and finally purchased this one. After I use it, I rinse it with Hot water from the tap and dry it ... working great! Only complaint I have, and it's my own fault, the metal handle can get very warm so I find it necessary to use a glove or pot holder to grab it towards the end of my bacon being done. So when i get another one of these, I will likely get one with a wood handle. | 20% I saw that some people recommended using wax paper to prevent the beef from sticking ... July 4, 2017 The press works well enough to get your burger patties in a uniform shape, but I'm not sure it puts enough of a dimple in them to make any difference in terms of drawing up while cooking. I will be grilling the patties I just made in a few hours and will change this review if necessary. Also, potentially warranting an edit on the review in the future, is the main reason why I have rated the press so low. I guess it probably should have been common sense. I saw that some people recommended using wax paper to prevent the beef from sticking inside the press before I purchased it. I should have listened. I tried cooking spray. Didn't help a bit. I tried aluminum foil on the top and bottom.... That helped a little but not enough to keep me from tearing apart my beautifully formed beef patties while trying to remove them. I will get some wax paper and if that makes A BIG difference I'll come back and rate this product more highly. Until then I say skip it!!*UPDATE*Got the wax paper some others suggested and it made A WORLD of difference, so I upgraded the rating to 4 stars. If you don't want to bother with the extra step of wax paper, skip this thing. If you don't mind, go for it.... Works flawlessly afterwards. Need to use with wax paper or something because the ... May 2, 2017 Need to use with wax paper or something because the meat gets all stuck inside and makes it difficult to remove burger, handy and makes it cheaper to have pre-made burgers Works as designed July 27, 2016 I have used this a few times now and it works quite well. The only down side is sometimes when pressing a burger the meat will slip out along the side instead of staying inside. However it is only a slight amount and still functions as intended. Clean up is easy and so far it hasn't broken or cracked like my old one. Pressed for Time July 1, 2016 Wanted another like my original Tupperware, but found they were way too expensive since I last bought mine "a hundred years ago". So, I figured that I'd go with the Weber ones. These are okay, they make a decent sized burger, but nothing spectacular about them. The indention that they mention is modest; I usually press deeper with my thumb before freezing. I've been adding a package of dry Lipton's Onion Soup Mix to the meat before pressing and freezing, and this has been a big hit with the family this summer. The kids enjoy pressing the burgers when I bring home a huge package of ground meat from Sam's Club - and using the press minimizes the mess. Since I have younger kids, I bought the large and small presses. The smaller one is just right for sliders on dinner rolls. Having pressed burgers ready for the grill at the spur of the moment is a big time saver after work or on a busy weekend - whether using my outdoor grill or my family sized Foreman grill indoors. Great tool for perfect patties April 7, 2016 I am a total bachelor-amateur in the kitchen, but found this press to be exactly what I needed. Use wax paper to keep the patties from sticking and use slightly more than 1/4 lb meat to easily make perfect patties. You need to "massage" the press a bit to evenly distribute the meat to get even burgers. It takes some muscle, but otherwise te press is effective and inexpensive. It makes better patties that store-bought ones. Basic, No Frills for sure. August 4, 2014 It's just ok. It makes burgers, but you have to be careful you keep it level when pressing the burger or you'll end up with a burger that's thicker on one side than the other. It wouldn't take a huge design change to fix that, but it would make it more expensive to produce because it would require more material, so I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. I'd also prefer if it used a plunger type mechanism that could not only press the burger but also double for extracting the burger from the top. That's not a huge deal if you use wax paper on top and bottom to prevent sticking, but you could use half the paper if you didn't have to have one on top. | 14% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 10% The weight is ok but too small for 2 piece chicken. August 21, 2016 The weight is just right . I wish it was bigger to cover more meat.Instead i am using 2 to press 2 piece Chickenor hamburgerger Just ok. March 9, 2013 Rougher then I thought but works well. Bought it because of the name and I guess it is just okay. | 19% Works fine. September 20, 2017 Works fine. But be advised there are two sides; 1/4 pound & 1/2 pound - and they are fixed (unadjustable). After reading reviews for several presses I ordered the precut wax paper sheets up-front and have never tried it without.Hard to beat for the money. And it does work as advertised. Burger Press May 18, 2017 Much too large in diameter and the thickness sizes it makes are not to my liking. It's ok September 16, 2016 I bought this in June and have used it occasionally this summer. I thought this would help with more uniformed burgers but I can't seem to get them even with this. It's 90% possible that the reason is user error but I thought this would make it easier and it just hasn't. It is well made and cleans up easily. Definitely durable material. I will probably still use this occasionally during grilling season but I find it easier to hand press burgers. good tool. buy it for large jobs. January 24, 2016 It's ok. The plastic is fairly firm, but not great. There is a quarter lb side and a half lb side. The quarter lb side is pretty accurate, but the half lb side is way off. It is more like 1 lb. It gets the job done though, so 3 stars. | 2% The only objection is that it has drain holes on ... March 24, 2015 The only objection is that it has drain holes on troughs on each side, a little dangerous for frying bacon over a hot BBQ grill..I had the holes welded shut. Eh... August 28, 2014 A little disappointed in the quality. Can see cosmetic defects. For the price I hope it lasts longer than I'm assuming. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 6% Blea. September 27, 2017 Meat sticks to the lid too easily. Actually works better if you put more meat into it than recommended. Hamburger press June 24, 2017 The meat stocks to both the top and bottom so next time we will add wax paper to the top to prevent sticking. It does make all your burgers the same size and thickness. In the trash August 4, 2016 Not as good as the old tupperware ones, My wife actually found the tupperware one for me......... Don't Bother June 10, 2015 I have a 20-year-old Tupperware burger shaper that works better than this press. It squishes the meat too much, and the meat is hard to remove. Don't bother. | 2% Not my cup of bacon October 11, 2016 I LOVE LOVE LOVE all weber products, but I just can't get behind this griddle. It's very difficult to clean and the grease holes make for some serious fires and flare ups if you cook bacon. On the plus side it fits perfectly in the grill, although I have a cast iron griddle that can sit on top of the grates that heats up just as well and works better. Seasoned cast iron cleans and cooks better and there are no drainage holes, enameled cast iron is just too hard to clean . I guess its a matter of preference. Very disappointed in this item June 3, 2016 I am quite disappointed with this product. Cleanup is really a pain. The two tiny drain holes don't adequately drain the grease and to clean this item you have to remove this dirty piece, lug it into the kitchen sink and try to get off the accumulated food and grease. It may work fine for someone who wants to grill eggs on their Weber (not sure why someone would want to do this) but after grilling just 3 bugers I had a mess on my hands. I would not buy this item again nor recommend it to anyone. By the way, it is quite heavy and not easy to cart it from grill to sink. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 11% This would be great if the diameter of it wasn't so big October 14, 2017 This would be great if the diameter of it wasn't so big. Instead, its big so you get REALLY thin patties and most buns are too small for it. For those of you who are serious burger-makers, just keep doing it by hand. I got this bc we were having a lot of people over and I thought it would save me some time, but I wasn't about to compromise the integrity of my burgers for quick relief so I made one and saw the result and put it right back in the box. If you're willing to sacrifice quality for quantity and are on a time crunch this may help, but I'm not about that life. No dimple on burger! August 6, 2016 The description mentions that this press's would dimple the burger, but does not. Had to return this I would not recommend buying it January 25, 2016 Very messy. Patties aren't formed well. I would not recommend buying it. Patties won't come out without tearing and falling apart, ... August 23, 2015 Patties won't come out without tearing and falling apart, even after trying to grease the press with olive oil. Ended up just hand-forming the patties because it was too much hassle. | 5% Poor quality. October 2, 2015 This is not a nonstick pan. Poor cooking results for scallops and pancakes. Very disappointed. poor product quality June 13, 2015 no good cracked the first time we used it , the grill cracked and is no longer useable. should be noted was on low heat to cook pancakes.Don't waste your money. Not what I order. June 25, 2014 This item is not what I order. Product Dimensions: 1.2 x 15.7 x 22.8 inches ; 17.3 pounds . This is not true. This dimension are for the box. The real dimensions of the griddle are 13x19.5. I'm returning this item. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
