Fabulous steamer!
September 17, 2017
I previously used a steamer by a famous TV inventor. It leaked from the get-go, took quite a while to warm up/come back to steam, did not have a 'turn steam off' button, was large and not easy to use with my left (non-dominant) hand. It also didn't cover that much area per pass.

This Conair is the exact opposite. Heats up quickly, never leaks, big head so lots of area covered per pass, light, made for the hand so easy to use with both hands, you can shut the steam off if you need, and when you turn it back on, it returns to steam almost immediately.

Does a great job! I'm so glad I threw out the substandard 'famous inventor' one and got this Conair!
Best for Business Travel

This steamer is perfect for large suits, tuxedos, etc. for when you are traveling. The steamer itself is not small (takes up a fair amount of suitcase space); however, the benefit of being able to make your clothing look like you just picked it up from the cleaners after long travel outweighs the disadvantages of size. I have used the smaller, more compact steamers in the past; the ones designed for traveling. They did not work very well. Save yourself the time and trouble.
I love this - it is great for a quick steam ...

I love this - it is great for a quick steam to either freshen or get the wrinkles out - heats up in 5 minutes, enough capacity for 3-4 dresses or shirts. definitely way more convenient than an iron or larger steamers
Had to have it after using my sisters!
April 29, 2016
I traveled to my sisters house in another state, and during the travel, all my clothes were severely wrinkled. I'm ashamed to admit, I don't know how to iron, BUT I'm a pro at using a steamer! I got my first one when I was a fresh teenager almost 18 years ago and have seen the advancement in steamer technology through those years.

This one by far beat all the other I've owned in the past! The heat up was super quick! The steam was incredibly hot, and because the heat source is so close to the water source and the head, you don't have any leaking issues. When your heat source is far from the head, true steam has time to cool back down and produce water drops. Those water drops get on your clothes and instead of steam, and instant drying, you have a soaked shirt.

It was a no brainier for me, after that day, I immediately went onto Amazon and ordered one! It was shipped to me quickly and was in pristine condition!
This steamer is the best! Pretty much replaces my iron. UPDATE: AUGUST 25, 2015 Stopped working—Fixed with Pics!
February 3, 2015
This steamer is highly regarded by my friends and I--stands a cut above the other steamers we have tried. It is more portable than a lot of other steamers as it is a bit smaller. But it does its job super well.

Super great to fix last-minute wrinkles in your clothing before formal events or going to work. I pretty much do not use my iron anymore...

Update: August 25, 2015. After less than a year of occasional use, my steamer stopped working just like everyone else is saying in their reviews.

I decided to try to fix it using the fix as detailed in Louis E’s super helpful Amazon review of the product. Thanks Louis E! I was able to get it back to working as if it were brand new in less than ten minutes.

I was a bit hesitant to take it apart and fix it as detailed in Louis E’s instructions. I know that if I had pics of the fix, I would have been a lot more confident and a lot less hesitant to fix it. Thus, I put some pics here and hope it helps others out there in a similar situation….but first a DISCLAIMER: I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DECIDE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS. WHAT WORKS FOR ME MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU. YOU MAY BE ABLE TO FIX YOUR ISSUES WITHOUT TAKING IT APART AS I DID, BUT MY UNIT WAS ONLY FIXED AFTER I DID THIS. THIS WILL PROBABLY VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

1. Take off the top panel that has the word “CONAIR” on it. I was able to quickly get it off by using a flathead screwdriver to go around the edges of the panel and unclip any clips that are holding the panel to the main unit.
2. After taking the top panel off, you should see 4 visible screws. Unscrew them using a philips head screwdriver.
3. After the screws are off, you can unclip the white panel from the blue panel that says “CAUTION: HIGH HEAT STEAM” and then slide the white panel off the main unit.
4. Using pliers, slide off the clip that is holding the tube to the pipe that is feeding into the heating plate.
5. If the clip is slid off enough, you should easily be able to slide the tube off the pipe feeding into the heating plate.
6. With a syringe (I used one that is normally used to suck boogers out of babies), I pumped water through the tube to clear any obstructions. Then, I also pumped water through the hole that the reservoir at the bottom feeds into (arrow points to this hole in my pic). Water that is pumped through this hole should easily make it to the tube at the top (the tube that you freed in step 5).
7. Do steps 1-6 in reverse to put everything back together.

In less than ten minutes, I was able to get my steamer working just as it did when I bought it. Hopefully I will not have to do this too often!

Such a handy little device to keep around in your closet for quick de-wrinkling!
July 1, 2016
First of all it's a very compact, small little device, that's quickly and easily set up. The top twists on and off with a locking feature and is very secure while being very easy to twist. People with hand issues shouldn't have much trouble with removing the nozzle in order to fill it. The reservoir is small enough that it should fit under the faucet of your bathroom sink no problem. We have fairly shallow sinks and I was able to fill it without an issue. The opening is large and easily filled without spilling water all over the steamer. Do note, however, that due to it's very compact size you will only be able to put enough water in it to one garment at a time. The unit heats up quickly (under 2 minutes) and makes a little gurgling noise that will let you know that it's ready. There was not a lot of visible steam coming from it, but it steamed up the mirror above my vanity and I knew it was ready. Steaming was easy, though I did have to hold it very close, if not on the shirt. I was able to "press" a nice crease in the silk fabric very easily. Steaming the very bottom of the shirt was a little difficult just because it was hard to hold tension on it while it was hanging without burning my fingers from the steam. The steam is hot, however, I feel that it was a little conservative (likely to prevent people from burning themselves) I would have appreciated it being a little hotter, because it think it would have helped the process move a little more quickly. I did have to go over some more wrinkled areas a few times to get the wrinkles out. Overall, though, wrinkles came out of the shirt fairly quickly and very easily. Just a tip: Hold it very close, possibly touching the garment, for best results.Just know -- this is NOT an iron. You're of course going to get better results with an iron. But for materials that you don't want to risk scorching, or just because who wants to drag out the iron and ironing board at 5 in the morning, this is a great alternative. I was able to steam the wrinkles out of this silk shirt in about 2-3 minutes - way less than the time it would have taken me to set up an ironing board and iron. I also used this little steamer to fix a scrunched up tassel necklace. Worked super quickly (like 10 seconds) and my necklace is like brand new!All in all: A great little steamer. Super convenient to have on hand for quick de-wrinkling jobs. Works very well and will keep you from those lazy morning wrinkles. Tank is small (though on purpose) and steam is not as hot as I would like, perhaps, but is hot enough to press a crease in light fabrics such as silk. Great little addition to your clothing care arsenal!
It actually works
June 30, 2016
I purchased this Pure Enrichment Fabric Steamer because it looked so high quality. I have bought similar products before and have never been satisfied. I am so pleased with this purchase I made because the product exceeded my expectations. It performs very well and is constructed with quality materials. I did not think these types of products worked, always used an iron and board but I am never going back. "once you go PureSteam you never go back". I will be definitely buying more in the future and will also recommend friends and family to buy this product. It has only been a few days since I use it but so far I do not have any complaints. The product was also very well packaged which protected it from shipping and handling damages. I received this amazing product at no cost or at a discounted price for my unbiased and honest review and also based on first hand usage. My opinions and views are solely mine and I have no influence on how this item was purchased. I will always give my honest opinions on a product since I believe it helps the manufacturers and distributors to make a better product in the future. Hopefully this review has helped you and I wish you good luck with this product.
GREAT steamer for TRAVEL - works QUICK!
May 22, 2016
I bought this fabric steamer after purchasing several new blouses for work in addition to my upcoming wedding. This steamer emits a pressured steam which, when held close to the fabric, instantly melts away any crease or wrinkle. I was so impressed with how well this little steamer works. This steamer is so small you can throw it in your suitcase and bring it with you! I'm glad I had this steamer on my wedding day as it worked wonders steaming out any creases that happened on my flight over to the wedding as the dress was stored in a garment bag. I also brought this steam with me on my honeymoon and used it to straighten out a few blouses while traveling. Highly recommend.
Manufacturer replaced a defective product.
August 22, 2015
I experienced problems with this unit three of the four times that I have used it. In one case, I left it to heat and returned to find it sitting in a pool of water. The other two times it shot out very hot water which landed about two feet away from where I was, properly, using it. I am returning what is clearly a defective unit and I am annoyed that I will have to pay the postage. I will avoid this seller in the future. Regarding the product, I am unwilling to take a second chance on it.Updated 9/4/15: I was contacted by the manufacturer regarding the review above. They were concerned that I had received a defective product (When was the last time that you have heard of a manufacturer doing that?). They sent me a replacement product that arrived three days ago. Again, I have used it four times, but the results have differed significantly. I have had no problems and it easily removed the wrinkles from the two blouses and two pairs of slacks that I used it on. Love the manufacturer, still don't like the seller.
First steamer defective, second steamer a winner!
February 6, 2015
I'm past my return window or this would be going back. I liked it at first but now whenever I use it, the water gets so hot it boils out of the steam vents all over the clothes I'm steaming or onto the floor or wherever the nozzle is pointing. It was not over filled! In fact, I tried pouring most of the water out and it still happens. What a mess to clean up when I'm only steaming as a time saver over ironing anyway - and then I couldn't even wear the item I was steaming because it was soaked in the areas where the scalding water had shot onto it. I'm truly disappointed. Wish I could even exchange it - bummer.2/12/15 - update: After leaving the review above, I was immediately contacted by the seller and offered a replacement unit. I accepted, received it within a week, used it this morning and am happy. It is first-rate customer service in this day and age to have any seller give a hoot about a bad review not to mention have their policy reflect courtesy and promptness. Most importantly, the replacement product works just fine. All things considered the best way to go is to not have defective products at all, but nothing is perfect, and the way they handled the situation was quite satisfactory. So I'm leaving my one-star rating, hoping any consumer in a similar situation will read and know they'll be taken care of. Also in hopes that a consumer even considering purchasing this product will see that even if the unit they order is a defective one, they'll be treated respectfully and fairly in the returns process. For the record, this steamer (the replacement unit that works properly) gets 5 stars. ;)
great little steamer
February 5, 2015
I love this steamer! It is perfect for steaming one or two shirts when I am on the go. I was skeptical as many steamers I saw on Amazon have various reviews, but so far, anytime I have used this steamer the wrinkles just fall out! The steam starts going in a few minutes, there hasnt been any water spewing out, and the steamer itself is very light and easy to hold while steaming. This is so much more convenient than getting out the ironing board, iron, etc. All I do is fill it up with water out of the sink, plug it up, and literally two minutes later its ready to steam. Wish I would have purchased this years sooner.Update: As I looked through my orders to purchase another one of these for travel, I cannot believe it's been a year since I've had this thing (purchased in Jan 2015). From using it 3-4 times a week -it's still running perfectly, and its such a convenient size it fits nicely under my bathroom cabinet. Best purchase ever.

Works well, when it works...
August 14, 2017
This is a good product, it heats up very quickly and does an excellent job of "ironing" out all types of garments, and drapes, and such. The only downside is the intermittent spewing of water from the business end of this steamer...it ends up kind of soaking the item you're trying to de-wrinkle.
Gets the job done
May 31, 2017
This is a handy little steamer. It does a good job getting out minor wrinkles, but deeper wrinkles and creases take quite a bit of time to work out of the fabric. I do prefer it to ironing as I feel it is gentler on the fabric. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.
Easy to hold for those with small hands

bought for drapery pressing- satisfactory so far-nice size and easy directions
Worth the price
February 2, 2016
I have a slightly different version of this Conair steamer that I bought at Costco in Michigan. I couldn't find it down in Florida, so I bought this one from Amazon. It works the same and is very easy to use. The convenience of not having to cart out the ironing board and iron makes this purchase well worth the reasonable price. I did find this one to sputter/spit water a bit, instead of just a consistent steam. But it really wasn't a problem. It didn't leave any stains or spots on the items that I steamed, so the spitting is just a minor inconvenience. The creaser attachment alone makes this a great steamer! I found it awkward to use the creaser attachment initially. I couldn't figure out how to hold it and use it at the same time. I watched a video online and then after a little practice had it mastered. I hate doing creases with an iron. I actually don't mind ironing other than the getting out the ironing board part. But creases are just not my friend when I have to iron. Creases are easy when using this steamer. I love it!
Full steam ahead...
October 30, 2014
I like the Conair Extreme Steam Fabric Steamer, it is a time saver. The product arrived in good condition. The plastic casing is sturdy and you have a choice of a (low/high) steam flow setting. It takes about a minute or so to heat up...no problem with leaking or spurting water. The electric cord is at least six or seven feet long. This steamer is a great size for travel. I use the steamer to remove wrinkles from my dress suits, light jackets, sweaters, etc. There is a button on the steamer, which locks in place and provides a constant flow of steam. The water canister on the steamer is adequate...it should provide enough steam for two/three shirts or two suits with no problem. The steamer did not remove wrinkles from a weird textured pair of polished cotton pants...(I used a iron). Some of the new man made fabrics may be damage with an iron but the steamer is a safer choice to use in most instances. I would recommend the Conair steamer to a friend.

Update - 4 STARS FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE (Initially One Star For Absurd 30-Day Return Window)
April 2, 2016
Used precisely twice - and it worked beautifully, I may add - but then simply no longer generated any steam, although the light came on when you clicked the switch. Just discovered that, although bought only on Feb 9 this year, it is "no longer eligible for return" 30 days after you buy it. Really? They only stand behind their product for a month? Absurd and - because the product worked well when it worked, and I was planning to simply request an identical replacement - very disappointing.*UPDATE* After posting the above as a 1-star, I looked on the manufacturer Pure Enrichment website and they had the usual text about amazing customer service. I emailed them on a Saturday and they replied on a Sunday apologising, saying they'd send out a new one right away and I could just discard the broken one. Received a brand new one today (Tues). Superb service, would give them 5 stars if only returns went through Amazon, as those are easy. Well done Pure Enrichment!
Pretty Good As Long As You Don't Fill To The Max Line
February 10, 2016
Initial Review: Very, very weak! Practically useless!Yes it's labeled as a portable steamer but it is so weak it takes forever to even do one shirt. Not only that but there's a built-in shut off timer so it's constantly losing steam while your working. I don't understand how this product can have 1000+ 5-star reviews.UPDATE 3/3/2016: Pretty Good As Long As You Don't Fill To The Max LineI was contacted by Pure Enrichment support to give a replacement unit a try. No harm in giving it a second chance so I accepted the offer. At first I was very disappointed with replacement unit. It seemed to have the same problem as my first one. Here's what I did step by step:Filled the reservoir to max.Turned it on and it heated it up 1:15-1:30 which was faster than the 2 minutes advertised.I would then hear a "click" and the steam would start for about 20 seconds. Then there would be another "click" followed by a slightly stronger steam for 15-20 seconds. However, it would die down to nearly no steam and no bubbles for about 10 seconds until a "click" was heard again and would repeat the cycle. This cycling on/off continued for nearly 9 minutes! Just as I was about to give up and turn it off, I noticed that it had a continuous steam going and kept going until the water ran out. It did a pretty good job on a pair of pants but it only lasted for about 4:30.So after several tests I realized what the issue is. This steamer does not like it if you fill the reservoir right at the max line. Doing so gets the on/off cycle. Instead, it's best to fill it about 4/5 the way. Doing so gets a steady, continuous, decent strength steam that was able to last for 7:00 strong and eventually completely ran out of water at 7:30.Pros:Compact and portableQuick and easy locking topLarge opening for the reservoir to pour water into and clean when doneHeats up quicker than advertised at around 1:15-1:30 and this is with cold Brita filtered waterCons:Filling to the max line gets an on/off cyclingShort of the advertised 10 minutes continuous steam. Getting 7 minutes but likely due to filling only 4/5 the way.Plastic has a light purple color to it. Easily noticeable compared to something actually white like the cord. Conclusion:DON'T FILL WATER TO THE MAX LINE! It's a better steamer than I initially thought once I figured that out.
Good for Small Items
December 10, 2015
This steamer would be great for small garments. Careful not to fill it too much and hold it upright- some water spatter will happen. Practice/test on something you arent about to wear until you get the mechanics of it. I bought it to dewrinkle some heavy curtains and the fabric was just too thick to give me my desired results in the time frame I wanted. This small steamer is better reserved for small items i.e.: dress shirts. Company saw I wasnt pleased with my initial purchase and has sense sent me the XL steamer with stand I am going to try on my curtains. I sure do appreciate that these days!! Thats rare. I will review that item as well once I use it this weekend. Im sure it will serve its purpose fine!
it works fine. In about 5 minutes I can smooth out ...
September 9, 2015
I use this to give wrinkled shirts a quick steam in the morning before I leave. For that purpose, it works fine. In about 5 minutes I can smooth out the wrinkles and the shirt looks much better. Not nearly as good as classic ironing, but still much better than wrinkled. I can usually get through 2 or 3 shirts on one fill up, depending on how bad they are.Only things I'd warn about are A) its much smaller than I was expecting, only about 2 feet high, and B) the way it works is a little tricky. You turn it on and once it heats up, it starts steaming in bursts of about 30-45 seconds. So you get about that much steam time before it takes a little "break" to charge up (~10 seconds). Kind of annoying and definitely slows the whole process down, but overall for the price it does its job well.
Small but works well
September 9, 2015
This steamer works very well. I ordered it to steam a formal gown. I figured instead of paying to get my gown steamed I would try to do it myself for about the same price and be able to steam other items as well. It worked beautifully. My only complaint is that the tank needs to be refilled very often. I had to refill the tank three times to finish my gown. One tank full of water was only enough to steam one dress shirt. It's not difficult to fill and it heats up quickly, but if you are interested in doing larger volume than one piece at a time you may want to look at bigger units. This steamer is very small (box is smaller than a shoe box) so it will store well.
Does a good job but does not replace iron
April 9, 2015
I like this steamer a lot. It's compact and it's easy to travel with. The problem with travel size stuff is that it is usually small. Specifically with this item, the water container is small. So do not expect hours of use out of it. I attached some pictures of a cotton t shirt that I threw into the wash and came out super wrinkly. The steamer did a good job taking out most of the wrinkles, but it does not replace an iron. The reason for that is because it's hard for the steamer to get the wrinkles out by the horizontal lines on the shirt. My guess is bc it is painted over or whatever material they use is hard to get wrinkles out (as you can see by the pics). It still did a really good job, but for items like these, you would likely need to run an iron over to make sure you get the wrinkles out of the horizontal lines.I suspect that it will do a great day to day job of just getting out wrinkles from dress shirts and work attire. I filled the steamer to the "max" line and the steam was only sufficient for this one shirt (front and back). I had to refill after steaming this shirt. I see some other reviews where it states that you can use it on two to three things. I think it just depends on how much wrinkles you have on the shirt. If you have heavy wrinkles like this cotton tee, then it will likely only have enough steam for one shirt. either way, it's still more convenient for travel and using an iron!Worth a try if you are looking into one! It took less than a minute to boil up. The price is also relatively cheap compare to other steamers. I would check this out if you are in the market for one.

Doesn't stand up which is inconvenient.

This is a good steamer EXCEPT the attachments don't fit securely and there is no stand so you have to lie it down when not using. Spend a few $ more and go for the Conair Turbo ExtremeSteam
It was a great steamer for about a year or so
May 1, 2017
It was a great steamer for about a year or so. Then, it clogged and tried my best to unclog but no luck and had to throw out
It's ok. Not great, but ok.
March 15, 2016
I bought it hoping to cut back on the need to iron work shirts. No such luck. This works great with certain fabric - silk, chiffon, very lightweight cotton. But sturdier fabrics are impervious to this guy's efforts. I keep it because it works well for my delicate clothing but it certainly did not fill the need I was hoping for.
Works decently, but I had to fix it after 4 months.
August 3, 2014
Pros: It's light, portable, and puts out a decent amount of steam.
Cons: It quit working after 4 months of occasional use.

UPDATE: The fix for my problem was found in the questions for this product.
The pump had gone dry and needed to be primed. To do this:
1. Pry off the top panel that says 'Conair.'
2. Unscrew the 4 visible screws on the next panel, and slide it off to the rear.
3. Pull off the tube that is connected to the middle of the heating plate.
4. With the reservoir attached, suck on the end until water comes out. Replace the tube.
5. Test and reassemble.
Awkward to hold and no way to set it down
May 10, 2014
I bought this to replace a cheaper model. I wanted one that would do a better job. This one is okay for light wrinkles, but doesn't work on something that's creased. I had some scarves that are sheer and it freshened them up, but did not take out the creases or heavier wrinkles.

The unit is top heavy and kind of awkward to hold on to. If you want to set it down, there is no logical way to do so. There is a hanging loop, but mine split open after only hanging up for a couple of days.

Defective top with use.
December 28, 2016
Purchased this a year ago. At first it worked ok- good steam flow and small and light enough for easy travel. But over time, apparently the heat changed the ability for the swivel top to securely seat and seal, and it now will not seat shut and leaks burning hot water, even when upright and filled appropriately, and in the "lock" position. I expected better wear after a year of using perhaps a dozen times or less. Still under warranty, but I will not replace with the same product because I think the design is unsafe. I'll look for one with a larger head and resevoir like we use at church for large linens. This seemed like a design flaw from the beginning.Update 12-2016. The company responded with an offer to replace this unit declaring it was defective the same day I wrote to them. Like another reviewer, I found the service was excellent. I will follow up with how the replacement holds up they are sending me.
Great while it lasts.
September 26, 2016
I've had this steamer since the middle of February. It works great! There isn't much this steamer can't steam. I've never had a problem with spurting water, either-the only times I've had it belch water everywhere is when I'm in a hurry and don't check the fill line. I've taken it on multiple trips, conventions, you name it.BUTRecently, my teamer has started leaking water from the plastic seam on the front of it-if I'm steaming, there will be a tiny puddle on the floor; If I set it on the counter without empyting the water first, there will be a puddle underneath. Worse, the base of the steamer has turned a rusty color, and I'm afraid to use it anymore, because I'm afraid the heating element may be compromised, which could result in electrocution. In short, I love it, I've gotten great use out of it, but I'm going to search for a better steamer when I get paid. Appliances should last much longer than this.
Small size and handy, but the performance is something of a let down.
August 8, 2016
This is something of a let down. You can actually hear the water boiling madly so I have to fill it WELL BELOW the fill line or I get big wet splotches on my clothing, and therefore, I can't use this right before I plan on wearing something. It is fast and easy, but I go through water pretty quickly since I found I cannot fill much above half. It does makes quick work of items and have also found that a flat ironing cloth (hung on a slacks hanger) works well behind the item I am steaming and I can hang the cloth and then the clothing item in front, and steam hanging both from a handle on my cabinet. This steamer must remain in an upright position and you want to watch the hand that you might use to hold the clothing taut so that you don't burn yourself.
UPDATE: Replacement product since: Completely disappointed
April 4, 2016
I ended up with the dud also. I really figured the negative reviews of the product only working once had to be a fluke. Maybe it still is, but I ended up with one of them. Super disappointing. Only worked once. I went to use it again a few minutes after it went through it's first round of water and it was just dead. Waited a while thinking it needed a break? Really? But no, it was just dead. I don't have the time or the bandwidth to go through the rigmarole of the warranty/replacement stuff. Very frustrating as I bought it last July and just now decided to write a review and realized I actually paid $29.99 for this??? What a complete rip off.UPDATE:The company reached out to me to replace the defective product. I have since been able to use it successfully twice. I find it does what I need for getting rid of wrinkles. Much quicker for me than getting out the ironing board and full iron.
Smaller and weaker than expected
December 14, 2015
This steamer was purchased as an alternative to ironing. this device was needed in our home to remove wrinkles not only from clothing but also from linen drapes curtains etc. I was a bit disappointed not only by the size of this device, it is quite small, but also the feel of the item. Unfortunately it just felt a bit cheap. Upon using this item I found out that the steam is not very strong and that the item does not Old very much water. Because of that you have to refill the reservoir quite regularly which defeats the whole purpose and I spent more time filling then wrinkle removing. Also when doing flat items such as linens, it was even less effective than steaming hanging articles of clothing. I did wind up actually returning this item because I was just not pleased however for the price it may be suitable for limited needs
or cool. Sometimes it can be so cool that it's ...
November 18, 2015
Do you know how white can be warm, or cool. Sometimes it can be so cool that it's almost blue. My steamer is distinctly purple. My first impression what that they shipped the wrong color, but - upon further analysis - it appears the hue of their plastic just got way off-track. At least that doesn't impact functionality. It's also **very compact,** is good for storage. However, it doesn't work as well as a full-size steamer. It also only contains enough water for about 2 garments. Then I have to take a break and let it cool down before adding more water, because the top is too hot to touch and remove. So it doesn't work for steaming larger batches, but it's fine for an occasional item.

Sent it back

Took too long to heat up and to actually steam clothes. I ended up sending it back because I could get the ironing board out and iron the clothes faster than I could with trying to steam with this thing.
Not what I expected.
March 15, 2014
The description video is what convinced me to go for this. Sadly I was let down. I basically bought this to iron my shirts that I wear to work everyday. They were mainly cotton and some polyester.

Cons
Takes toooooo long to heat up. Not as fast as you would expect.
The "Jet steam" is no jet at all. Its more like steam rising from heating water.
Doesn't iron out the details. The button linings, pockets and collars stay wrinkled and you cannot wear it to work.

Haven't tried pants or jeans but I'm sure it cannot manage any thicker fabric.

Its OK for "in a pinch", JUST REMEMBER: IT ISN'T UL approved.

(I) bought it to steam the wrinkles out of small photography backdrops. Never used it for that. Sent it back next day.The design, in MY opinion, isn't safe. IF you were to knock this thing over while it's running, near steaming-hot water would come out of the nozzles, THEN propel and blow out due to MORE steam being created inside it.Many people complaining that they use it once or twice and then it's dead.MY guess is that the overtemp device that shuts it off in the event of low water is no longer resetting be it by poor design or poor quality. It is CHINA sourced. About as simple as possible. The heating element is a blobbish looking thing in the bottom center. Says it is 700w I would advise ALL users of this item to NEVER let it run out of water whilst using it AND use ONLY distilled water. You CANNOT steam things that are lying flat. DONT try it.It for things that are hanging on a clothes hanger NOT ON A PERSON!!!!!! Good Lord! The steam gets H O T! ITS STEAM!IF you are a moron, you'll probably cook yourself with it.
Only 5 Minutes of Steam
October 20, 2015
I received this steamer today, tried it out once and was massively disappointing. I bought this to replace my Epica 800 Watt Handheld Fabric Steamer which worked great for me for a year of nearly daily use until it finally gave out recently. This Pure steamer is far smaller than it actually appears in the photos. The listing also claims that the "water tank lasts for 10 minutes of continuous steaming" but it is far too small for that. I filled it up to just barely below the maximum line and got only 5 minutes and 33 seconds out of it. Hardly enough time to steam a dress shirt that wasn't too wrinkly to begin with. I had worn the dress shirt a couple of times so the wrinkles were just from normal daily use. There were no hard creases or anything, yet this steamer did not "iron out" the majority of the wrinkles. Not only does it not steam for very long but the nozzle is too small to cover much area of the fabric you are steaming.Personally it was just a very disappointing product and I immediately requested a return after the first use. I don't typically like giving negative reviews unless absolutely necessary, so I'm giving this one 2 stars "I don't like it" instead of 1 "I hate it." I can see this being useful for some people for travelling purposes, considering the size, if you're just looking to have a steamer to quickly take out a few wrinkles on a shirt. Though if you want to use it on a daily basis to really de-wrinkle some clothes, I would not recommend it. It should definitely be advertised as purely for travel use or quick touch-ups.
If you have the time...

Feedback for my recently purchased Amazon product - PureSteam Fabric Steamer. I've only used this once since I've received it a couple of days ago, so I don't have enough trial runs to have a concrete opinion about the product. But I will elaborate on some of the things I did experience in my one use:1. The steamer heated up quickly and was pleasantly surprised with how fast the product started up.2. I read that the angle should not exceed 45 degrees, so I made sure I kept it facing directly straight at my shirt that I was trying to steam. The product did splatter a bit and I expected it was from being a new product.3. Throughout the usage, it continued to splash and create large wet spots on my shirt where it looked like it was dabbed by a very wet cloth.4. I steamed one half to compare, and although it did steam out most of the wrinkles, it took the entire reservoir and about 8 minutes or so to do the job. I was a little disappointed on how time consuming this process was and the fact that I probably wouldn't be able to use this at the last minute due to the large water spots.5. I don't see any problem if I steam my clothing the night before (to dry out) and if I'm not in any rush. But it does require numerous refills and slow/repetitive motions.6. I would rate this product a 2.5 out of 5. Like I said, I've only used this once so my rating has very little credibility. I will try it at least a few more times, although I'm a little scared that the water splashes will leave water marks on my dress clothes as it dries.7. I will say that it would be a little easier to just buy an iron/ironing board and have my wrinkles out, with the creases, in less time.
Not good.

I used this on two items: a pair of suit pants and a jersey sundress. The pants had a crease at the knees from being draped over a hanger. The steamer didn't even touch it, even though I used the entire tank of water on just that. I will have to iron them.I refilled to do the dress and it spit water for a while, even though it was filled under the max line. Luckily I was near a sink so just held it over the basin until it was done, because it was a significant amount of boiling water. Once that stopped, I used the rest of the tank to steam the dress. It took out some of the wrinkles, but I will probably just iron the rest because it seems like less trouble. This will be returned.

Very poor performance. Water kept spitting out all over the fabric in big spots even though I held it upright and moved very slow. I was trying to get wrinkles out of a new bedspread I had just bought, hung it over my ironing board and now I have to leave it there until all the water spots dry. Did an average job of taking out wrinkles in some areas but doesn't last very long. It may be better for smaller things like shirts, pants, etc. but it will still spew water out regardless. I will be returning it.
This steamer had great promise. Lightweight
December 19, 2014
This steamer had great promise. Lightweight, 10 minutes of continuous use, very little sputtering...but then I tried to refill it and use it a second time and it just quit working...AT ALL. Nothing...nada...ziltch.Super frustrating to have to return it...I gave it two stars simply because I used it on the chiffon on my wedding dress and it worked like a charm...I guess if I wanted a disposable/one-time steamer I would give it 5 stars.I ordered a slightly larger steamer that should be here in two days...I will keep you posted.Sigh.

Did not work
September 13, 2017
Received this ExtremeSteam Hand Held streamer tonight. The product did not work whatsoever. Followed instructions perfectly, watched videos, no user error detected. The devices green light would turn on after ~1.5 minutes but no steam would emit from the head. After holding the button down for over 2 minutes with the device at a slight angle, I faced it down causing a piping hot stream of water to spew out of the head and trail down the handle. Furthermore, the specific device that we received was clearly either returned or dropped at the factory as there are multiple blemishes present.
Worked well, until it didn't
July 20, 2017
This product put out good steam and heated up quickly. The hole on the water tank is the size of a straw, so refilling is a challenge but the tank steamed pants and a shirt with water to spare.
Then one morning the pump stopped working. It made noise, but it didn't draw water to the heat element, which just kept getting hotter.
It lasted 3 months, used 20 minutes a day 4 says a week.
Believe the bad reviews!!!
March 6, 2013
I did a lot of research before ordering this product. I was looking for a nice, compact steamer that had extra brush attachments. This looked like it fit the bill and had some positive reviews and some negative reviews. I chose to try my luck. Well, my luck was not good.

I used the product once, was very pleased, cleaned and dried the unit and then placed it in a cabinet for storage until I needed to use it again. SECOND time I tried to use it, the ready light came on, the unit was hot, but when I squeezed the steam trigger, nothing but a loud buzzing noise. No steam, just a lot of noise. I then tried the vinegar water solution that other reviewers have suggested but to no avail.

I am sending it back to Conair despite misgivings because it just sticks in my craw that they could manufacture such a miserably designed product. I feel ripped off.
Does not work - steam won't come out
March 5, 2013
I followed the instructions to set it up (also had husband and our interior designer give it a second and third look) - we wanted to steam some drapes before they were installed. Nothing happened. We could see it was on, heard it try to create steam, but nothing came out. In fact it seemed quite dangerous that the water was warming up and building up inside. We checked every opening to ensure they weren't blocked, include one of the internal tubes.

If you do purchase this product ensure that you are ordering at a time when you will be available to test it out immediately because there is a small return window for frequent travelers (aka I paid for a total piece of junk that is going straight to the garbage since it is past the return date by 2 days due to extensive business travel).
Great, if it works.
September 30, 2012
I decided to take a chance on this because I like hand held steamers. I purchased a different model a couple of years ago, it worked great for a long time. When it broke, I bought a new one of the same, which broke almost immediately. So I switched over to this one. The one time I used it, I really liked it. However, the very next time I tried to use it, it would no longer emit steam. It appears to heat up, but not to pull water from the tank.

I made a point of treating this steamer well. I purchased and used distilled water, and I dried it and put it away after the first use. Yet, it still stopped working after one use.

This is terrible. Don't buy.
December 14, 2016
This is the worst steamer I have ever used. First of all, after I turned it on for the first time to use, the steamer started spitting out hot water on my garment. I thought "Okay, maybe this just happens when you first turn it on but it'll stop after a couple of seconds.." NO. IT DIDN'T STOP. So, on top of this, I know this is a "travel sized" steamer, but it runs through water FAST. Also, it didn't even get the wrinkles out. I don't feel comfortable leaving the steamer faced towards just one spot at a time on my clothes because I'm paranoid and I think it'll ruin my shirt, but do it at your own risk. Overall, I would NOT recommend this product.
WATER POURER AND 5 SECS STEAMER
May 30, 2016
Almost ruined a blazer with this item. I did not get to ruined the shirt because my mother suggested I try to see how the steamer performed and long be hold, water was being poured everywhere.. HOW WATER!!, which was very dangerours. The steam was produced whe only 1-2oz of water were left in the tank, which lasted few seconds. Perhaps there was something wrong with this one in particular but I'm trying out other brand just to be safe.
Disappointed over This Hazardous Product
May 9, 2016
This is my first Amazon review and it is because I want people to beware of this product. I understand that products can have defects but when they are as dangerous as this one, there should be much greater measures in their Quality Control department to ensure less hazardous products wind up in the hands of consumers.Let me start by saying I was SO excited to get this steamer. I had been suffering from a disheveled look for months after a roommate had moved out that owned an iron. As such, I was in the market for something that would get my wrinkles out fast and without any extra equipment (i.e. a bulky ironing board). After browsing Amazon for a while, and reading countless customer reviews, I picked the Pure Enrichment Fabric Steamer.Just a couple of days later, my much-needed steamer arrived in the mail. Right when I saw it, I opened it up and used it on some of my unkempt clothes. I read the directions, filled up the reservoir, and plugged it in. Briefly, I left the room to put the clothes on hangers. When I came back, my floor was soaked with scalding hot water. Curious as to what was happening, I picked up the steamer from the handle. It was searing hot and water was dripping everywhere! Thinking I must have screwed something on wrong, I turned the appliance off, let it cool down, reread the directions, and tried again. This time I noticed before even plugging it in that water was dripping everywhere. Ugh! I was so disappointed. In a desperate attempt to make the product usable, I wrapped duct tape around the bottom, but that failed to leave the product with any marked improvement. The water found a way to drip-drip-drip out. I'm no engineer but I'm pretty sure it'd be difficult for the average person to make this work. The product has rendered itself completely unusable. :(In summary, I suggest you do not buy this product. It is too much of a gamble. There are other steamers on Amazon in the same price range that won't be such a risk.
Do not waste your money or time with this item.
March 8, 2016
I purchased this item after reading a review on a blog raving about the item.Mine must be busted, because the steam is incredibly lacking, I was hoping this would replace the stand version I have, since that steam machine isn't so great.I feel I wasted the money, and this isn't even suitable for travel.I already recycled the container, before I tested, otherwise I would return this, now I must sell for a huge loss.On another note my room mate bought a slighty larger model from Aldi, and it far exceeds the steam ability of this tiny device.
Awful.
November 16, 2015
What an awful product. I chose this because I use steamers every day, but liked the option of putting this away in my closet instead of leaving a floor steamer out. While it does heat up quickly, when you are steaming an item and hold it against the fabric, it spits all over the place. Like all over a silk shirt. And my foot. Also, the resevoir holds very little water, so I can get through one pair of jeans and half a top before I have to refill. It would probably work for travel, but I don't recommend this at all. It only takes once to get burned from the water to want to throw this thing across the room. And because I'm at 32 days, I can't return it. Waste of money.
Device stopped working after a month
August 21, 2015
Well. I really liked this steamer for the month it lasted. Today, suddenly stopped working leaving me with a dress half-steamed. The light to indicate the device was on was not turning on again and I feel frustrated. We've been using distilled water, and having all kind of precautions every time we use it. We bought it in July and it worked for a month and some days. Now, I'm checking that I missed the returning policy by 4 days (FOUR days)! Frankly I feel cheated. The bad thing is this steamer really makes a good job with your clothes. It's been the best we've had so far in terms of leaving your clothes wrinkle free while investing a short amount of time doing so. So... my only thought now is just really, how this can happen??!!
