My daughter has asthma and every time she has an attack we visit the doctor and they check her pulse/ox. As I was observing the doctor check it I said I need a pulse/ox meter so I can check her oxygen at home and know if her meds are working. Thinking these matching must be very costly I pulled out my iPhone, opened my prime account and started searching. Low and behold I found this little gem, it was many colors with good reviews and not expensive!! I bought it.Once received my daughter tried it out. It worked! It told me her oxygen reading and her pulse. I tried it. Fortunately I had just visited the doctor, who took my pulseox that morning, so I knew what mine should be and this tiny machine gave the same result. I felt confident that it gave a correct reading for my daughter. It states to not use this for medical purposes and I understand that reasoning. I will use it for piece of mind.In fact when the doctor called to check on my daughter I told her I bought one and told her the result. My doctor wanted me to keep a daily log of my blood pressure readings, heart rate and oxygen levels so I purchased this item. I used it once a day for approximately 3 weeks and it just quit working. I replaced the old batteries with new ones and it still won't work. I am very disappointed with this product. When I showed this monitor to the nurses that visit my home, I bragged on what a great price this monitor was. They remind me of that comment when my oxygen level reading is missing from my daily log. Now I have to purchase another one, I'm not happy.UPDATE: The day after I posted the above review I was contacted by Med Shop and Beyond. I was offered a replacement meter. I was admitted to the hospital that day and when I was discharged, a new meter was in my mailbox along with a case for the meter. I have been using the new meter every day and it is working great, therefore I have changed my rating to 5 stars. The product is good and the Customer Service from this company is great.

Outstanding product. My doctor limits my cardio workouts to s heart rate of 120 bpm and pulse ox of no less than 90% because of chronic graft vs. host disease that restricts my lung capacity. My wife is a nurse and very reluctantly loaned me her pulse oxymeter until I could order one of my own. I ordered the "CMS 500DL Generation 2 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Oximetry Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor"Friday afternoon. It was delivered by mail late Sunday morning. I compared it with my wife;s pulse ox monitor from work and the reading were virtaully identical. I also compared the heart rate with a blood pressure cuff and the results were comparable. I used my new pulse ox meter at the gym yesterday and was able to monitor saturation and heart rate continuously during workout. Great product. Works as described and as intended. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to monitor their pulse ox saturation, whether from curiosity or medical necessity.

I am a nursing student and have been looking for a reliable and affordable pulse ox. This works great. The product is very durable and the silicone protective case allows for easy cleaning and the carry strap adds security of not losing the item. Simply unclip the fastener and take your measurement on your patient and clean and reattach the clip securely. The color is a great plus for the low price. I have compared the readings with those from the hospital devices and found they are accurate and reliable. I could not have chosen a better, more reliable product. Numbers are clear and easy to read and most important of all the finger pad is comfortable for all size fingers. Fits snug, but not too tightly and provides comfort and accuracy with a flare of personalized color for a great low price. I will recommend this product to my fellow students and co-workers. Look forward to purchasing from this company again.

My 89-year-old grandfather recently suffered congestive heart failure along with his ongoing kidney failure after surviving losing one kidney to cancer. After his release from the hospital I moved in with him and my grandmother. In order to make sure he had the best home care and recovery I could possibly provide and to follow his doctor's orders of keeping a daily record of his vitals, I purchased this pulse oximeter and a set of digital scales to go with the blood pressure meter I already had. I thought it looked like a good one when I read the reviews and ordered it; and it did seem to be when it arrived in the mail but imagine my surprise when the next day the home health nurse showed up for her first evaluation of us and she was carrying the exact same meter only in a different color. Then the same thing happened when the physical therapist showed up 2 days later, she also had the same brand meter. I had felt good about my purchase but now I knew I had made the right choice in this meter and I would be able to confidently keep my grandfather's vital health record and report accurately to his doctor any changes and hopefully keep him out of the hospital and off dialysis for a while longer.

Picked this up as a gift for my mother who wished to track her oxygen levels since she has breathing troubles.It arrived very quickly and for the size of the box it was very well protected in side a nice sponge foam which we kept as it would be nice for storage when not in use.The meter is a nice size and very lightweight which is not much more than the weight of the batteries. It uses 2 AAA which is also nice as I am not fond of watch batteries. After putting the batteries in I tried it out for myself and almost instantly gave me a reading, which is very good if you don't want to break your stride while exercising. The numbers were easy to read and the device is simple to use.I gave it to my mother and it was almost like a child on Christmas the way her eyes lit up. She had been wanting something for some time to track her oxygen levels as she has had difficulties with her health. She too tried it right away and it gave her a good reading. It came with a silicone cover which is translucent which lightens the color a tad to a nice lavender color and included a matching lanyard of the same color. The lanyard was of a nice material which didn't chafe and felt comfortable for extended wearing.Overall this feels like a great product. We will be most likely sharing this as I will be wanting to use it on occasion for myself until i possibly get another for myself. A very nice device for quickly checking your pulse and oxygen levels.

Excellent product, I really like it, I'm very happy

Fairly good product, but the batteries seem to run out quickly. My guess is that due to the fact that it doesn't come in a protective case, it may be getting turned on in my bag without my noticing it. If that is true, then it is a user problem and not the product, but next time I think I would buy one in a protective case. The spring clip also came lose easily, which again could be because it is constantly getting caught on things in my big bag with all of my other medical equipment.

I'm pretty happy with this. It's fairly quick to get a reading and seems accurate. I wish it came with a case because the button keeps getting pressed in my bag and I'm worried it's going to drain the battery. But otherwise it's fine and a nicer color than the boring ones we have in the hospital. Everyone at work was rather excited and impressed with it.

Works great and quickly. Love the color. Numbers are easy to read. Tests accurately when compared to other pulse oximeters.I also like the translucent rubber cover that it came with. Thought I would remove that but it keeps it from slipping out of my hands and may offer a small bit of protection the first time I drop it.I have just 2 small complaints: I wish the numbers displayed a few seconds longer after it's removed from the finger, and it would be nice if it had a display that could be switched to face other directions. My old pulse ox had that feature and I didn't realize how nice that was until I got this one. I realize that this model was suggested only for personal use but I'm a respiratory therapist in a hospital so this is what I purchased it for.

I currently work at a government health center. The majority of my patients have copd or asthma. The office provides pulse ox machines but they are huge and take up my whole pocket. I have been looking for a pulse ox that is convenient and light weight. I am so happy to receive your product. I has made my life easier and I am able to do my work faster. Another good thing about it is that I love the color purple so I was so excited to have something in my favorite color.

Already in market for new one. This one is held together with a rubber band.Works well though so gets a 3 star.

Not very accurate. But it's cute. O2 usually off by 2, and take a while to register compared to my other pulse oximeter

nothing beats a heart monitor the thing i don't like the most about this is that sometimes it takes a little bit longer than id like to read off a persons vitals but in the heat of the moment everything seems slow motion. i like the little rubber case that comes with it because it makes it that much easier to clean. the screen itself is easy to read and this monitor is accurate enough for me to get a good idea till they can be hooked to a monitor in the rig. its light weight clean looking an easy to set up. not the best but absolutely not the worst. id recommend to any EMT or EMT-P who just needs a quick reading and its also great for children i bought mine in the lavender purple so it has a little bit of a calming effect and not this scary black thing that is being stuck on a finger. ill be buying one again but possibly a different brand just to see which one i like better. all in all i would buy again.

not sure about how well this works. it doesn't register anything on my fingers, but seems to be fairly accurate on my husband. feels too big for my small fingers.

I use a pulse ox at work and I find this one is much slower and does not read accurately at times (50% of the time at least 4-5 points off). Taking it off and putting back on usually resolves the problem. For the price, it works fine for casual home use.

We had this pulse ox for 2 months. Initially, it worked very well. However, the 2nd month the left spring on the side of the monitor broke off. This was very frustrating as this device was taken very good care of. I need to purchase another one and I think I will make a different selection.

I liked the product. But after a couple of uses, the whole thing fell apart.

Update, this literally fell apart after 3 months use. I would not recommend it unless you would be using it infrequently.

Cool that it's my favorite color, but it's always a few percentage points lower than the nurses-on-a-stick and my colleagues' oximeters. Good for a ballpark estimate in an emergency, but not great for routine use.

Does not work reliably/accurately unless used on someone with good circulation, which most people who need this device do not have. It's a nice color and the cover is nice, but the functioning of this device is unreliable.

Love this item first one fell apart right away they sent a second I use this daily for heart and breathing problems but now second one fell apart if the little corner circles were tighter it would be perfect have to use screw but won't work right :-(

Within a few months of buying this product, it quit working. The battery light keeps flashing, even though I've changed them multiple times. When it worked it was great. But I don't think it was worth $22 to only work for a few months.

If I could write NO STARS I would. I purchased two of these one for myself to monitor my heart rate and oxygen level as I have COPD. The other one I ordered as a gift for my daughter who just graduated from nursing school. She has not even had the chance to use hers and when I checked it out the other night after mine did not work correctly, I find hers doing the same thing!! DO NOT BUY, it's junk!!! AND they won't let me return or exchange. One month return policy. Should have noticed that when I bought it, if I had, I would have bought them!!!

It worked great for the first two days, then it would keep shutting off and flashing the battery light like the batteries were dead. I would also have to press the power button several times just to get it to turn on. I replaced the batteries several times to no avail. I would not recommend this brand or at least this particular model. I have used different brands of this item at work in a nursing home without issues.

I have had this item for only a few months and it has died. I've replaced the battery and it still doesn't not work. Of course it is outside the timeframe to return it. In someone who needs to be able to monitor my spo and hr every day and this item has been disappointing.

Im a CNA so clearly im constantly getting vitals and needing o2 stats, so i bough this product and the second time i used it it broke. the top and bottom completly seperated, i had to lift the black bottom pad and put the springs back in. it still reads but i can only open it so far so it doesnt break again.

3 month life span Quit completely after three months. Worked great until then. Fresh batteries did not get it started again.
