Small, but easy to set up using a usb drive
August 6, 2015
We got this frame for our father. We loaded a bunch of pictures on a usb drive, plugged it in & it started to play them. He likes the frame mode best, so we havent used the clock/calendar mode much. The frame is small, but very light weight. He shows it to all his guest and family members add pics onto the usb drive, so he has plenty to look at.

Bought three of these for Christmas for our sons and culled thousands of photos to make individualized sticks for each family. This was a most appreciated gift, and my sons tell me they run well, and that they've had lots of fun rediscovering their lives for the past 15 years or so.
this is a very nice, simple to use picture viewer

this is a very nice , simple to use picture viewer. It met my expectations, and works fast . I am using it to check my trail cam pictures on my sd cards
I plug it in, insert the card and in about 5 seconds it will start showing me my pictures. Also has a nice calender on it with just enough options as to keep it simple to use. It also accepts usb jump drives. I'm very happy with it. I was unsure if this model comes with a remote or not. It does not.

Decent 10" Digital Photo Frame
January 2, 2014
After reading reviews of several 10" digital photo frames, I was concerned that none of them were any good. I took a chance and purchased the PF1025 in spite of some negative reviews indicating problems with some of the features such as transitioning, clarity and auto on-off. I have left it on 24/7 since my purchase in mid-December and it has worked flawlessly. The pictures appear to have good resolution clear across an 11' living room and it continues to transition as designed. I do have it connected into a surge protector with other electronics to help eliminate power issues as a source of problem. Unless something blows up down the road, I see no issues with this frame and would recommend it to anyone looking for a 10" frame with decent resolution.

BUY THIS!
June 3, 2017
I never had a digital frame before and was a bit intimidated, thinking it would be too complicated. I couldn't have been more wrong. This is SUCH a terrific way to view pictures, rather than have them sitting in a box or an album that no one looks through. It's so easy to use! Just pop in an SD card or a USB flashdrive/thumbdrive and that's it! The display is a reasonable size, not too big or too small and the display quality is truly stunning. My stuff looks like a professional shot them. A great gift for yourself or for someone else.

I really like this picture frame because you can use it with an USB device, a mini USB, and a memory card. These frames are great for displaying photos at weddings, funerals, meetings, family reunions or at home. I pick and choose pictures from my computer, transfer it to a usb device to display on my photo frame.
Great Gift for someone in a nursing home or in hospital
March 2, 2016
We got this for my wife's grandfather who was in the nursing home during thanksgiving and christmas, and loaded it with photos of the family since space is limited that way he had a piece of home with him till he was discharged from the nursing home, also it helped him in keeping track of the date and time.
Great frame!

Bought two of these as gifts and they are working great even after being punished by two small boys who didn't understand that they did not use batteries but we're determined to install them anyway.

Tiny USB device that barely extends past your USB port.
September 30, 2017
Bought this to put into the USB port in my car so I could play MP3 music through the radio. Previously I had a larger, longer, USB stick. However I was afraid of knocking it since it stuck out so far. I also didn't want people looking in and seeing this blue USB stick that they may want to steal. I replaced it with this tiny little guy. No more worries about knocking it out, it barely sticks out farther than the USB port. It's also black and blends in very well so anyone looking in can't see it.
Almost invisible Storage!

Perfect for my Nintendo Wii U. My first Cruzer is full, and I liked it so much I bought a second one. Of course it was only to find out that we can only use one USB device with a WIIU system. I was sad.......At least I had a second Wii U and I just put the second one into that console that was just about ready to need more storage. So nothing lost. What I like is how small these things are, lots of storage and you can't even see that these are on my wii U console. They are almost Invisible and hold lots of data. Also, if I decide to get rid of my Wii U I can reformat and use this on any other device. I feel it is worth the money and less hastle than an external hard drive that is recommended for the Wii U!
Best USB flash drive I've tried!

Tiny but powerful with great features such as password protection and easy file backup function. It comes with standard encryption but other features such as military encryption, automated backup, and Cloud/other device synchronization are available through a reasonably priced upgrade. For everyday use though, really an upgrade isn't needed. All files are password protected anyway. Great for sensitive data and also pictures, resumes, correspondence, etc. Can also be used to move files from the main device to create more memory space. It measures well under an inch across and can be easily stored and carried anywhere. 16GB. Lots of space! It's especially good for smaller devices such as tablets but it worked great on a full size laptop too. SanDisk Cruzer Fit CZ33 16GB USB 2.0 Low-Profile Flash Drive- SDCZ33-016G-B35
Just What I was Looking For
December 31, 2014
I have a work laptop and after the IT guy complained about how big my profile backup was, I knew I needed a way to keep my personal files off of the HD of my work laptop. I take my laptop to work every morning and home every night so a thumbdrive stays in the line of fire during normal usage. I tried using a normal "stick" thumbdrive but eventually it got bumped and bent. I knew that I needed a low-profile flash drive ASAP. I spent a little more money on the SanDisk versus the cheaper low profile memory. When I got it I was impressed by the size, it was a smaller profile than either of the wireless mouse usb transmitters I use (one for work and one for home). After eight months of having it continually plugging into my laptop, I have been very pleased with how it works as memory and how it is not damaged by normal handling.
Almost too low-profile, fit perfectly everywhere.

I bought this particular USB flash drive for a car stereo. The low profile of this drive is perfect for USB equipped car stereos, and my removable face plate will fit in its protective cover with this drive still plugged in. Not having to unplug the drive every single time you remove the face plate is a huge plus. From the product photo, you might (as I did) think that there is a small LED mounted in the top of the drive as a Read / Write indicator (and there is one, however it is recessed into the unit and invisible unless active), but that is actually a tiny metal loop. The loop is there so you can thread the loop with string so you have more of a purchase on the drive when unplugging. Otherwise, the drive is so low profile, you may not be able to easily grasp it. Also you may want to thread that loop just so you don't lose the drive! If you've ever used a Bluetooth equipped wireless mouse on your laptop, this drive is pretty much the same size as the USB Bluetooth receiver you'd plug into the computer. For reference, 32GB = Approximately 167 CDs worth of MP3 music at 320 kbps, or 222 hours of music at 320 kbps. Approximately 417 CDs worth of MP3 music at 128 kbps, or 556 hours of music at 128 kbps.
SanDisk has always been trusted by me

I use this as a backup drive for all my important documents, photos, etc. I never save anything to the main hard drive but utilize this small drive as a convenient way to store files. The reason I use backups are due to an unpredictably event among hard drives called "hard drive failure" rates. Never save anything to a main drive and always BACKUP. I am a 20 year veteran of tech so I know how important backups are. Around 92% of drives survive the first 18 months and this is due to all the moving and gyrating that they do in their course of their lifetime. And then one day they just might stop so again backups are important. This USB fits in a USB slot on the back of my main computer and I just rename it in Windows file manager as BACKUP or whatever may be relevant to the files that I am backing up (i.e. PHOTOS, MUSIC, etc.). Then just utilize drag and drop or save files directly to it. Piece of cake .SanDisk only offers a 2 year warranty in the USA but will offer 5 years in other regions which doesn't make sense to me.Still it does its job and works as advertised.

Good Customer Service, worth the cost
January 13, 2017
I purchased a couple of these frames for the Grandparents quite some time ago. I went to upgrade the pictures via SD cards and figured they could just change out the SD cards with new pictures, but many of the pictures would not display or were displayed sideways. I couldn't figure out what was wrong because they displayed fine on my computer. I decided to purchase another frame for me to see if I got the same results. I did. After pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong, I got hold of Sungale Customer Service (via email, telephone was a no-go). A customer Service representative (Brendan) got back to me within one day, and after a couple exchanges, he was able to figure out the problems and offered solutions. Although I still don't understand why the frame didn't display properly, I basically just had to go into each photo that wouldn't display properly in my Windows Photo editor and use the auto correction option. Sort of a pain, but worth it. Display is great for the price.
One regret is that it's not easy to add or delete photos
October 4, 2015
The frame is "photo size", as described. One regret is that it's not easy to add or delete photos, you must do it from the disk or drive that you are using and edit on PC or etc.. No editing is available within the frame itself. Second- The only way to stop photos from scrolling, for example,.at night is to unplug the product. Then when you plug it back in you must rest all the functions including date and time. Still acceptable for the price, and for the project I needed.
Basic and easy to use
April 10, 2015
Very basic and easy to use. I purchased a usb flash drive and dumped a bunch of photos onto it. I plugged the adapter in and plug the flash drive in and that was it. I then packed it up and sent it to my mother as a gift. All she had to do was take it out of the box and plug it in. Zero effort. Definitely worth it for the price.
Bought as a gift
December 2, 2014
I bought this a week or so ago to give to my mom for Christmas. She's not all that great with electronics, so the simplicity is a plus, but I also took it out of the box and tried it to make sure she'd be able to use it. There are buttons on the back that allow you to change things like the transitions and speed, as well as the brightness (I think some people said the images looked washed out, but you can adjust the display settings). Other than that, you just need to put a bunch of photos on an SD card or flash drive. There are options for making it fill the screen (so there aren't black bars on the sides or top/bottom due to the frame and the photos having different height/width ratios).

You do need to buy your own SD card (or flash drive), but those have come down in price lately so it's not a big deal. I'm sure my mom will like this, she's always said these frames were pretty neat, but a lot of them were also pretty expensive. I loaded an SD card with all of her vacation photos. Could make a nice gift idea when you aren't sure what to buy for someone.
Very nice!

Thank you for the fast delivery. I enjoy it, though I didn't think 10 inch frame would actually be quite small tbh.. but that's not your fault though, it's my misjudgment. Nevertheless, I enjoy looking at the pictures of my family while at work. Thank you!

Really good and small form factor USB drive
June 24, 2017
I purchased this drive for a family member to plug into a USB Hub connected to their smart TV ... .I have to say that not only does it work well out of the box ... the speeds (using the "eye test") SEEM faster than the other drive they have when i put stuff on the drive and move it around. The other drive I refer to is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007KFAG8Y/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3 ... for some reason that one seems laggy when moving data to or from it ... this one from the short time I messed with it seems more like any other USB drive I have had ... aka no lag
A good amount of storage for a good price... just don't lose it!
November 27, 2016
I just uploaded around 24 gb of files onto it. It does lag a bit when uploading a gb worth of files onto it. There is a waiting time! But when uploading files mbs at a time - maybe word documents and smaller media files there's hardly any downtime. But when uploading any videos, files with lots of high res images, or large presentations expect to wait ...maybe make a some hot chocolate or a cup of tea!One feature I like is how you can password protect your files. So when the Cruzer Fit gets lost no one can access the files on it unless they know the password. But why would the Cruzer Fit get lost? well... One thing I didn't realize was how tiny this thing is! It's like a thumb nail! It's a thumbnail drive! There is a tiny metal ring attached to the Cruzer Fit that you can loop sewing thread into. But anything thicker like a metal keyring won't fit. I doubt a smartphone charm would fit but I haven't tried it. I did try to make a keyring using sewing thread but when I pulled on it the thread broke off - I think the tiny metal ring on the Cruzer Fit cut the thread when I pulled it :-/Also, the plastic cover doesn't feel like it will stay on if it gets bumped around by some keys so it may not be a good idea to attach it to a set of keys.Despite the tiny size of the Cruzer Fit, I like how it has a lot of storage for the price. Just don't lose it! I give the SanDisk Cruzer Fit 4 stars out of 5.1 star was taken off due to the lag of uploading a gb worth of files onto the Cruzer Fit. I made and drank hot chocolate during this wait time!
A few issues. Nice choice for users wanting a low profile.
October 3, 2014
A few small quibbles. The metal ring on the drive is tiny and looks rather flimsy so if attaching it to say a lanyard I would worry it would break off and be lost. The drive itself is tiny so it or the cover could be easily lost. I plan to attach a lightweight cell phone charm to it to help me locate this tiny drive. The low profile and size also make it a bit difficult to get the cover off at first until I got used to it. One last thing, I am not sure if this is because of the drive or not. I took some pictures on the drive to a local photo printer. For some reason their equipment could not read the drive. I don't know if this is because of the drive or their equipment/readers. The pros is it's small and lightweight and the low profile makes it a great choice for tablet users and if it lives up to SanDisk quality it should perform well for a long time.
Good solid device!
April 27, 2014
This does almost everything you'd want in a flash drive. It runs without a driver, without installing crapware, and as far as I can tell there are no hidden partitions or read-only areas housing proprietary crap. The security software is in the root of the device and deletes easily with the first use. The light is bright enough to be visible without being distracting. The profile when plugged in leaves just enough room to get a hold on it to remove without sticking out too much. It's nice to see something that just works and is friendly to the user rather than OEM partners who want to rent your eyeballs. My only complaint is the lanyard hook. it looks flimsy, and more importantly the hole works for a nylon lanyard, and not even all of those. It's a VERY small hole. If you want a keyring, you're out of luck. For a device that small, a dependable keyring option is very, very important. Add that, and this device would get five stars and be absolutely perfect.
Cost effective but risky by nature.
January 26, 2014
This handy little flash drive has a lot of memory for its size. It is small and inexpensive but has a few quirks both expected and unforeseen.Be sure to purchase this product with a string of some type, that you can thread through its loop (at the end). The string may have trouble fitting through because the loop is very small and it has an odd angle against the body of the drive. The drive is difficult to remove without a string to do so by however; this drive is probably best left in a U.S.B. port of your computer. The product's size is wonderful because you may leave it in your computer without worrying whether it might be damaged from something hitting it, while it is plugged in. The size is also of course, a problem unless you are very organized and careful with your things (be careful not to lose this drive).Courtesy of San-Disk, this drive comes loaded with password protection and encryption software. The password uses a high order of character encryption and the software functions well on windows. If you are using a Mac, you will have to download the software, to gain access thereto. The things which are loaded on the drive may tell you how to do that. The drive cap fits the housing (body) well but can not be attached to the other end of the body. Because this drive is most practically left in your computer, the cap is likely to be lost. I have found no easy or convenient remedy to that problem, so you simply must live with the issue. The drive of course holds the full 32 gigabyte memory capacity as a maximum. To store things on this drive, you do not have to use (or even keep) the software that it came with and do not need to create a password to protect the stored items, I have not clocked the read and write speed but it is not very fast. This is most likely because of the design compromises required to fit 32 gigabytes of memory into a flash drive that is less than an inch long. The read and write speed is even slower if you use the encryption software that the drive came with. This drive is ideal for backing up moderate quantities of data but not for quick transfer of data form one computer to another,
Good for "low profile" use
November 24, 2011
Note that these USB drives are designed for notebooks, tablets, and car audio. They are supposed to be plugged in and seldom pulled out, or pulled out fairly rarely. They are harder to insert and pull out than the bigger size USB drives, so it may not be good for daily use of carrying it around. The couple of times I pulled it out, it fell to the ground and was a bit hard to find, because it is so small and difficult to get a hold of. If you need to insert and pull it from the USB slot often, a fishing string can be added to the side of the USB drive (there is a small hole to insert the string and tie a knot). There is a small orange indicator light and I kind of like it. When it is writing or reading, the light will blink attractively.A simple speed test of copying and reading a 1GB file was done on Windows 7:Write: 4.10 MB/sRead: 16.5 MB/s

You get what you pay for and this one is pretty decent
May 24, 2016
I bought this for my mom as a Christmas gift and although she loves it you definitely get what you pay for. There are only a couple of buttons to control this digital photo frame, no remote. It does plug in ( I would say the cord is a decent length) there is not a button to turn this device on and off you simply unplug it or plug it in. In order to use this digital photo frame you have to have either an SD card or flash drive. I could never find out how many Pictures this fame holds, I guess it just depends on how much space is on your flash drive or SD card. overall it is nice to have and came in handy for my brothers graduation party.
You get what you pay for -- an okay digital frame
January 19, 2016
This is a "you get what you pay for" sort of item. I bought it to display photos of my baby at my desk at work and, for that purpose, it's fine. I wouldn't use it in my home or for anything I wanted to be displayed at a high quality. The color and the resolution are not great. I know earlier posters have said that it's the quality of the color/resolution of your original photos that needs to be fixed but my photos are great and they print out really nicely. The color in the frame is sort of washed out and yet very dark -- there are options to fiddle with brightness, backlighting, contrast, and saturation but so far they haven't resulted in much better display. All that said, it's perfect for a desk -- small, light, super easy to use and it comes with an AC adapter so no need to deal with batteries. I got the teeny Sandisk thumb drive that's suggested to go with it and it works great with that. For the price, I'm happy.
Cheap, OK for a work desk.
January 9, 2016
This is my first digital frame. It came with poor instructions, thankfully I'm fairly smart. Someone not tech savvy may have some issues. Picture quality could be better, I'm not impressed. It was cheap, you get what you pay for. This was just for my desk at work, so it's ok. It has a timer so I have it set to automatically come on and turn off... however it plays the stock photos not my photos, so I still have to mess it and set it to my photos every morning when I get to my desk. I will be looking for a better one, then I'll white elephant this one next Christmas.
It's ok, good pic quality, hard to use interface.
November 10, 2015
It's an ok frame. It wants to start off showing the pics loaded to it's internal storage first, so if you use a usb flash drive, you'll have to tell it every time to play those photos (didn't see where you can change the default, and I looked)

Menu seems unresponsive at times as does the remote.

Once you get the pics loaded, the quality is pretty good, just don't expect much in terms of the butons or the remote.
the screen was scratched upon arrival
March 14, 2014
I really like the size and looks pf this digital frame. I am giving it a 3 star because of some scratches I later found.

I was skeptical when I took the frame out of the packaging - it didn't come with a plastic film that covers the screen that you're supposed to peel off. But I thought that that is how it's supposed to be. I tested it while I was at work and it works. I brought it home to load more pictures for my sister since this is a moving away gift for her - I then noticed that there are two thin scratches on the screen. It is not noticeable unless you turn the frame side ways or flat. The scratches seem to be underneath the actual screen so you can't feel or touch it.

I am not sending it back because I am giving this to my sister and she's leaving in less than 2 days. I just hope that she doesn't notice the scratches.

Poor image quality by today's standards.
August 13, 2017
Poor image quality by today's standards. Did not recognize a USB with photos loaded on it. You will need a mini USB cable to load pictures to the frame's hard drive which is not included (plug mini USB to frame and USB to computer and it will be recognized like a flash drive or external hard drive and you can drag and drop photos).Review update: I was able to go into settings and adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation as well as change the display from stretch to actual image size and the image quality did improve significantly.

All in all a great purchase. I will be recommending it to my friends his is a pretty cool product for a good price. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Cheap and unreliable I have used at least 10 different this kind of product. This is by far the most accurate, I use it is simple and reliable. these were ok, for the money.
Pretty good for price.

Calendar mode doesn't look as pictured in add. Picture is much smaller in RL. I just use it for a photo sideshow instead. IMO the buttons are inverted on the back so it takes some getting used to when setting it up.
Not what I was hoping for
July 11, 2016
Nice digtital frame will flip through pictures but I could not find a way to have the slideshow play while the calendar / clock is up. Will only stay on 1 picture with the clock / calendar on.
It's nice enough.
July 9, 2016
This wasn't as nice as I thought it would be but my husband loves it. The pictures just repeat themselves and you can't do anything about that. The color was more red than brown. It was also a little scratched up when we got it. The stand is also hard to stay on.

Its ok, you get what you pay for. My only problem is, I have alot of pics on my USB disk, but it wont show but the same 20 pics. Why wont the others show? I spent hours setting this thing up and trying to figure everything out. Frustrating!!!

Too small
September 9, 2017
Smaller isn't always better. At first I got sold on how tiny it is however its small size makes it hard to remove from USB connections on a laptop. It has a tiny bit of plastic sticking out and unless you have a 5 year olds fingers it's very hard to hold it and pull it out. Definitely learned my lesson and would go for a regular size stick next time. I foresee I'm going to lose it pretty soon anyway.

Burned out actually not literally but after it ceases to function it was hot. Not fit for car USB music storage but it'll give you a few years of it working. When you start your car it indexes your music to your library and benchmarking this it seems to strain your on/off storage. Always back up your music on another device. I just purchased the new model of the same product and hoped it lasts even longer. The low profile size is perfect and fast transfers nonetheless.

The good:-Good way to add extra storage in a tablet since its so tiny and unobtrusive. Im using it right now just as a storage device for whenever i need it and have it attached to my keys. The bad:-The hole that is in the usb part is too small to attach to keyrings so i have to improvise. My worry right now is that one day i look at my keys and its gone.-The cap doesnt attach securely. I lost the cap on day 1 after i attached to my keys. Never seen again.
Great size, horribly slow!
July 12, 2016
Good usb! I liked the size because I can leave it attached to my pc without causing any trouble due to space! The major flaw is that is EXTREMELY SLOW! Painfully slow to transfer anything other than one MS word/excel file or any other tiny sized file!I had to change to usb 3 in a matter of days because of it! So it ended up being useless! But if you don't need speed only a good small usb, this is perfect! :)

This device is absolutely great for 'permanent' low profile use.But for portable use, it's and absolute pain to take out!!!!It has a clip on the end for attaching a strap or something to aid inremoving, but it's not included with the package. Now I have to try tofind something that will fit the clip in order to help in removing it.Right now I have to use a pliers - not good!I would have given it 5 stars if the package also included that strap, and I can't understand why they didn't?
Good flash drive, but terrible for taking out of devices like digital picture frames.
June 25, 2015
I love the fact that this is mini and 16GB. What I don't like about it is the little groove on the head that sticks out when have it plugged into something. The reason I say this is because the groove makes it difficult to hold onto when you try to pull it out. Because the head is so small, the plastic is so slippery, and the groove takes up all the space on one side of the head, I had to resort to using my fingernails and keys and pulling not on the sides of the head (like you would try to do) but to pull on the skinny ends PAST the head just so that you can get any sort of pull on the darn thing. Before I go any further, I want to say that for normal computers with looser USB ports this flash drive may not be a problem. However, I purchased this for the Micca M707z 7-Inch 800x480 picture frame and that was an absolute NIGHTMARE to take out (which unfortuantely I had to do a few times because this was the only flash drive I had with me at the time and I had to crop and adjust many photos and try them out multiple times which meant unplugging the flash drive many times).TLDR: This may be a good flashdrive for normal computers, but don't use this on devices that barely have any room around the USB ports. AND DON'T BUY THIS FOR THE Micca M707z 7-Inch 800x480 Digital Picture Frame.

Fine for 1 year
November 21, 2016
This digital photo frame is nothing to write home about, but for the price it does what it's supposed to. Or should I say did. I purchased this item on 11/9/15 for my desk at work. I have the timer set to turn on at 8:30 am and turn off at 5pm which I thought was a great feature. However, as I am writing this on 11/21, the screen no longer turns on. Conveniently just as the 1-year warranty is up. It started acting up a few months ago, when I'd come into work some mornings and see the menu screen instead of the slideshow of photos. Now the screen is completely blank though my flash drive is lighting up so I know the unit has power. Unless you want to be replacing this item in a year, I'd go with something different.
So So Product
April 26, 2016
The box says it comes with a remote, but I did not receive one. Outside of that, it is very easy to use (big plus for me) and the pictures look good. You can use the buttons on the back or just plug/unplug it from the wall (easiest way) without the remote. I like the size of the pictures and frame. Now, I need to add maybe the buttons on the back not working should have been my sign about this photo frame. It stopped working on me. I bought a new adapter and that did not work. They sent me another one and it did not work so I returned both adapters. That just told me the frame was the problem. Any product should last more than 10-11 months.
Okay: A Barely Acceptable Budget Photo Frame, and One Issue
March 12, 2016
Notice: This is a fair and unbiased review, so be sure to click on the "Yes" button below next to "Was this review helpful?", and leave a comment. Thanks!

In the world of digital photo frames, even years (decades?) after their commercial introduction, they still evade Moore's Law and remain pricey items–except for the Sungale PF709 which is reasonable sized & priced. Note that I wanted to really dig this frame, and almost do. The setup is quite easy (although if you're using a USB drive it has to be one of the super-micro "stubby" variety because of how the fixed base/computer module on the back is configured), and the controls are quite easy.

Now for some of the cons: this frame shows it's legacy as a re-purposed LCD monitor of some sort in that when viewed from the left, the image almost completely disappears. To get a decent or normal view, one must literally be to the right of the frame. I found myself constantly angling the frame slightly depending on where I was sitting, etc. to get the best view. Also, there is no remote included. The included instruction sheet mentions a remote briefly, however, this looks to be a typo. While I understand that the frame is quite budget priced, even RGB LCD strip lights include a small IR remote and they are half the price.

**Important!** READ THIS! There IS a timer function in the frame that will turn it on and off automatically each day at programmed times, and I highly recommend using this feature. Mine was left on continuously (as I hadn't yet scrolled down to this feature in the menu system), and after a few months of use, the frame now just starts blinking erratically instead of showing photos; essentially my frame is now a low-power 7" digital paperweight. Also, I suspect that SD cards are probably less taxing and more predictable than USB drives (and fit better in the frame), so that should be your go-to memory storage device with this product.

While the frame will randomly choose between transitions (wipe, checkerboard, etc.) it will *not* randomly shuffle the photo order, which could be a deal breaker if one minds seeing their photos in the exact same sequence each time around. In my situation, this was okay; your milage may vary.

Also, there is no sound, and no video or animated GIF capabilities (though some nearly identical looking frames have these features). WiFi or other networking options are not available with this model.

Not a huge deal, but the longest this frame will hold on a picture is 15 minutes. So if this frame is in constant view, be prepared to get familiar with all of the photos on it (unless of course you have a TON of photos loaded up). Ideally, it would be great if there were a 1hr or 5hr option, etc.

Finally, the display is a little ... grainy, and the color reproduction leaves a bit to be desired. Changing the contrast and brightness settings within the menus actually gave the photos a posterized look, so if true-to-life reproduction of your images is important, this may not be the ideal frame. For my purposes (a small frame to sit on a desk that I'd only be glancing at occasionally), this was okay.

As I mentioned, mine failed after the warranty expired, which became an issue. So, if you don't live in a chilly environment, or don't plan on using the timer feature, this may not be the ideal frame for you. I personally was forced to upgrade to the NIX 8" frame with remote.
Images Are All Turned Wrong Ways
December 17, 2015
The major issue I have with this digital photo frame is that it does not read the image attributes for orientation. This means that if you have a lot of photos taken in portrait mode, even though they look okay in windows, you will have to screen capture them and resave them to make them work with this frame.
I'd Choose Another Digital Frame
September 28, 2015
It may have been my mistake for ordering but .... the size is simply too small to see well at any distance. Also, I found that there is a small angle in which it allows clear viewing of the photos. In addition, the frame does not rotate my photos taken in 'portrait' in order to view them correctly. What is odd is that I've even taken the time to rotate the photos and save them and still many of them are not rotated properly when viewed on the frame.

Worked great for a short while
October 4, 2016
Worked great for a short while. Easy to program, etc. Only programmed for weekend 11 am to 3 pm. Two months later the light in the viewing frame went dark. Contacted Amazon, since it was ' certified refurbished' it was too late to replace, etc. Because I bought a ' certified refurbished' Kindle ( my first) over 5 years ago which artillery works perfectly to this day, I trusted this frame would, too. Won't do that again
Not all pictures work on it
July 4, 2016
Some pictures just don't show up well, and you have no idea which will work and which won't. It's super annoying if you really want certain pictures to show up. The USB stick has to be small or else the frame rests on it and moves the USB stick. This was cheap, but I would try to purchase a different one next time I need one.
I don't know how other people gave this a good review

This is the worst product u have ever bought. The stand that props it up won't stay on the back.It will not run unless plugged in at all times. The photos look terrible.Do not, do not buy this!!!
Disappoiting.
December 7, 2015
Not happy with this item. First of all, it distorts the images on the screen, making the pictures look strange and stretched out. Secondly, it is a very slow and tedious process to save photos onto the device's memory. Worst of all, I spent 45 minutes copying pictures and when I went to check, it had not saved any of them. Disappointing product. Not a good value for the price at all.
Very disappointed in this particular product because of the stand.
November 2, 2015
I bought this item as a gift for my mother. The MAJOR PROBLEM with the item is the frame stand. The frame itself seems to be made well, but the attachment for the stand comes loose at the slightest touch and the frame falls. I already have a digital frame and my grandkids love to look at the pictures, but if they barely touch THIS frame, it will fall. Since I am sending the frame to another state and will not be able to help Mom set it up, I may have to do something else.

September 23, 2015
I've read other buyer's comments and they are right about the manual so far for me. As for lifetime of the picture frame, we'll have to wait and see, I'm using it at work and have it scheduled on for 9 1/2 hours a day.On to the meat of my issue with it, the pixelation problem for photos. The user manual should tell you the optimal picture dimensions for display, but doesn't and no one seems to know. The auto resize feature just pixelates the hell out of everything. I recommend resizing your pictures with Microsoft Picture Manager (free with MS Office). I use it a lot to resize photos anyway, so I tinkered around and resized the pictures I had that were problems. The best sizes I found for rectangular pictures was under 740 pixels x under 560 pixels. For vertical rectangular photos I got 554 x 739 to display alright. For square photos I took the one I had down to 456 x 456 and it displayed correctly. The exact pixel size I don't know, and I'm not going to play with it further now that I have all my pictures working.Update: Haven't had it yet a full year and it's just died on me.

Good but eventually fail.

These work fine for a while. I've bought a few in different sizes. Unfortunately I've had a 16gb and an 8gb both fail. Not going to buy these anymore. They aren't terribly expensive, but having two fail makes me think that my others will eventually fail too.

Cant even Write a 5GB File to it without it Locking up on me. Tried using a ICE Pack around the Drive and Cable Port. got to about 5 Seconds left with 1.03MB left. Also keep wondering, how long can a Drive get so hot before it Fails and Fries itself??????
Too small (physically) to be useful for most applications
July 29, 2015
At some point small becomes too small. I bought 5 of these for my office and regret it. I assumed that they are the size of the little plug that comes with wireless mouse/keyboard combos, which would have been fine, but no. They are even smaller and are difficult to pull out of the computer as there is almost nothing to grab onto unless you have long nails (I'm a guy so no). Also the 'eye' is far too small to be useful, at least on the ones I ordered. Dental floss will barely go through, even the smallest paper clip will not. So it will be a challenge to put them on any kind of lanyard, even if they did come with one (they don't). I would not recommend these unless you are going to plug them into your computer and leave them there forever.I am going back to the Kingston Data Travelers. It does not get in the way of anything, is sturdy as hell, and won't get lost. You can put it on your keyring and forget about it- you'll never lose it.
Get the updated (USB 3.0) version instead.
May 26, 2015
While this drive functioned reliably, I can no longer recommend it due to its awful build quality. Specifically, see the tiny black piece at the end of the part that plugs in? Well, if you have snug USB ports (as my work Lenovo does, apparently), that little black piece has a tendency to come off when you try to remove the drive, leaving the metal piece wedged... and I mean WEDGED inside the USB port. Fortunately, there's the tiniest of metal pieces left outside, which allows you to pull this sucker out with pliers. In my opinion - having used this drive and the 3.0 variant that replaced it, for JUST A DOLLAR MORE (as I write this), you can get the USB 3.0 version of this drive, right here on Amazon.(Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LLER2CS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )Apparently, SanDisk learned from the build quality issues present in this USB 2.0 model and vastly improved the construction of the USB 3.0 model; I haven't had an issue with the 3.0 model yet.
Dishonest Firmware -- Claims Device is not "Removable"

After much frustration, I have determined that the Removable Media Bit (RMB) is not set in the device firmware. That means when you plug the drive in to a Windows machine, it shows up under "Fixed/Local Hard Disk Drives," instead of "Devices With Removable Media." This also means that you can't write a bootable ISO to the device. It also means that even short of creating a bootable drive, many other utilities which are designed to run portable from a flash drive do not work as intended.According to SanDisk, this is a new "feature" they began implementing in 2013 to meet Microsoft's Windows 8 Certification Requirements. Microsoft is apparently now requiring flash drives to lie and represent themselves as "Fixed/Local" instead of "Removable," in order for the drive to be Windows 8 Certified.Microsoft's interest in this deception is fairly obvious. And rather than stand up for the integrity of its products, SanDisk caved and now ships a device whose very purpose is that it is removable and portable, yet when queried by an operating system lies and says that it is not removable.
Too Small, Too Easily Lost! Waste of $$
December 17, 2013
Ok... "smaller is better" has its limits SanDisk! This item is about the size of the fingernail on my middle finger. There is almost nothing left to grab ahold of when you insert it into a USB drive. The too-small size of this USB flash drive makes it inconvenient and easily lost. But the worse part is, that there is no way to hook it to a tether or lanyard or even a piece of string in order to prevent it from being lost. The tiny little loop you see in the upper end in the product photo... I could not get a sewing needle under it to lift it up or guide a piece of string through it, let alone anything else into that loop to secure it to a keychain, lanyard, etc. This is really an expensive novelty item... not for data of any value! I have not used it since I bought it, and could not possibly recommend it to anyone else.

Good but eventually fail.
October 22, 2017
These work fine for a while. I've bought a few in different sizes. Unfortunately I've had a 16gb and an 8gb both fail. Not going to buy these anymore. They aren't terribly expensive, but having two fail makes me think that my others will eventually fail too.
Like USB 3.0 Drives heating up

Cant even Write a 5GB File to it without it Locking up on me. Tried using a ICE Pack around the Drive and Cable Port. got to about 5 Seconds left with 1.03MB left. Been 5 Seconds remaining about 5 Minutes ago. Keep wondering if this Issue is known and being worked on, or known and no one cares as long as they get their Money.

Didn't Last
July 7, 2016
Bought this frame in January (7 months ago). The last few weeks it's not usable anymore. It appears like it't trying to load the pictures, but the display just doesn't work anymore. Looks like the warranty is for only 90 days. Buyer beware.
Fire hazard. I wish I could give it negative stars.
June 3, 2016
I ordered this frame and the first one shipped to me didn't even work properly. I turned it on and within 5 minutes it got dangerously hot, so I had to return it and get a new one. The second one worked, but popped up with an icon showing it would move to the next picture in between every single picture in the slide show. And some of the pictures were inexplainably upside down or sideways, with no way to fix it. Then, after just a few months of sitting on my desk, it just stopped working. Won't turn on, sounds like it is about to explode when you plug it in. I am BEYOND disappointed in this product. And I hope no one else wastes their money on this hunk of junk.
But I'm surprised that the colors were so washed out too even if you are in a good angle (straight on)
February 15, 2016
do not buy!!!! I understand that the screen is not IPS so viewing angles is severly limited. But I'm surprised that the colors were so washed out too even if you are in a good angle (straight on). such a horrible screen!

Pros:
- none!

Cons:
- screen is TERRIBLE. Colors were all washed out. I have accepted the fact that resolution is low (800 x something) so a lot of details in the picture are gone. But for the colors to be washed out so bad is a different story even if you are supposedly on a good angle. My Chumby 8 has a better screen!
- long or big USB flash drives will stick out and tilt the screen a little. It's not bad, I just dont like it.
- your pictures won't automatically play when powered on, instead it plays the default pictures. This means that everytime you reboot the photoframe or if you set the automatic power off/on, it won't display your pictures. Instead, it will play the default pictures. This is by their design.
Terrible image quality and viewing angles
April 20, 2014
I purchased two of these based off the reviews and price and they are going back! First of all, the colors are terrible and make photos look very dull. There's a very strong backlighting that overbrightens the screen that at even a slight angle, makes you feel like you're viewing photos on a fluorescent x-ray viewer. You cannot adjust any of the settings either. On top of that, if you look at it dead on, the images are sometimes too dark. Also when I'm referring to viewing angles, I'm looking at it from +-10 degrees, which is incredibly poor for any lcd display.
Yuck
December 29, 2013
14 inches can't even describe the outer frame! I bought this for my grandma with eyesight troubles. It had to be large enough for her to see it easily, but small enough to fit in a certain spot on her wall. This sounded perfect - on paper. The screen was super small and distorted everything. Yuck.

I do like the wood frame though
March 10, 2017
Bought this in May, 2016. The internal brightness has already dissipated, as others have reported. No other settings are available to increase brightness. I do like the wood frame though. However, that's not enough to recommend purchase of this frame.

Cheap piece of junk that doesn't work
January 5, 2017
Purchased this in August for a Christmas gift. Trying to set it up now and it won't recognize USB or SD card. Remote also doesn't work and the manual is useless. The stand is also flimsy and won't support the frame. If I could return it and get my money back I would but the return window is closed. Don't waste your time.
I HATE this picture frame!
December 21, 2016
I have spent the last 3 hours trying to get the pictures to be all right side up...I have to resize each individual picture before placing on memory card for some (some adjust themselves) and then some are fine and then some say they aren't supported and won't show on the picture frame. I have purchased many electronic picture frames and have NEVER had issues with any of them. Save yourself time and energy and order a different one!!!!
WASTE of MONEY
November 26, 2016
If I could give this item less then one star I would. I ordered this frame twice thinking it would work. The first frame froze up after a couple days in use. I returned the frame and was sent another one about a month later. The second frame froze images within less then a couple minutes of use. Please save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BUY. WASTE of MONEY!!!!!
Not worth it.
February 22, 2016
Did not work. Tried to upload jpgs to it, didn't accept the images. Kind of pointless if it won't work with the image type it supports. Beyond that, why not png? Static gif? RAW? It's a darn photo frame, so this is pretty unacceptable, and lazy.

Worst Thumb-Drive Design Ever
October 29, 2017
Worst thumb drive design ever. It's so tiny and perversely shaped that it's almost impossible to get it out of your USB slot, once you manage to hold the tiny little insect of a thing with enough dexterity between your thumb and forefinger to get it into the slot. Cut my finger trying to use a needle-nose pliers to get it out of there. In addition, it's so tiny that it's hard to imagine anyone keeping it over two months without losing it. Absolutely an awful product.
Drive Size NOT Consistent
September 20, 2017
Installed FreeNAS on the first one. Bought a second one to mirror the first one, but the thumb drive is too small. I guess it's a luck of the draw but I still find it very annoying, especially because it's technically not DoA, so I can't return it.
Crashes my computers
August 18, 2016
The main reason I bought this is to have a small USB to keep on my key ring. On the first day, the metal loop that attaches to the key ring broke. That's when it all went wrong. After that point, I went ahead and inserted it in my computer for the first time. When trying to open the drive, it completely froze my computer and then crashed it until I took out the drive. I tried it in multiple other computers, same result. I'm a pretty tech savvy guy, but no matter what I do I can't get it to open. Windows won't let me reformat it. I try to open up my partitions and change it from there, but then it cashes that program too. Very upset with this thumbdrive.
No way to attach lanyard or keyring on the cruzer fit.
December 9, 2015
Unlike what someone else said, I purchased several of these drives in various sizes and only received one cap each, not two. Also, after trying several brand lanyards and key rings, the only thing I have found that fits the tiny metal ring on these drives is button thread (regular thread is too weak) and still it breaks on occasion. Very poor design for something so small, so expensive, and easily lost.Otherwise the drive works as expected.
Why making CZ33-64GB or 32GB? Neither is Useful for Large Files - Extremely Slow and Frustrating !
February 13, 2015
Here is my experience of using this 64GB USB 2.0: I tried to backup 80 video files (total about 50GB), it would take more than 25 hours! And sadly, the encrypting process was interrupted by Windows automatic update in the midnight, so I had to start over again (with Windows auto-update OFF).It should also be noted that, if you transfer multiple files together, you won't see any files until the entire encrypting process completed for all files. At the time I'm writing this review (@10:45am, after restarting the process for 5 hrs), the screen shows only 3% completed with estimated time to complete: 20 hrs - let's keep fingers crossed to wait and see the final transfer results tomorrow!
Where to begin
April 8, 2014
I first bought thing thinking "Hey, $20 for 32GB is a deal" and then I started using it regularly for school work. Here's where the problems began: 1) Yes, its small and you'll lose the cap in minutes. 2) The transfer rates on this drive (yes, i know its usb 2.0) are extremely slow. It's slower than my other USB 2.0 drives from years ago. 3) The metal string attachment loop broke off in days just by having it in my pocket at work/school. It's very flimsy.Overall, this is a piece of garbage. Yes, its inexpensive for the size, but not worth the trouble. I'm very surprised by SanDisk. Normally, they push out very high quality stuff, but this one is not.
