Best Bang for Your Buck
April 3, 2015
Like many of the others here, I bought this after reading some of the reviews, so I hope that mine might be able to help someone out with their buying decision. First, the con's of this particular package. The first thing that I noticed was the pillow. It is absolutely worthless. It is tiny, nowhere near to scale as the example pic would have you believe. I suppose if you had nothing else, you could stuff it into the nylon pillow case and survive a night, but it would be very uncomfortable. Second thing is that the cot comes in a box without any instructions for set up. I was able to figure it out fairly quickly and it is pretty straight forward, however some might find it a little frustrating to figure out the first time they do it.Now to the good stuff. The cot comes with a carry bag, that is excellent. It feels very durable and everything fits into it easily. The side storage bag is very handy. I use it mainly to keep my flashlight easily accessible for the those late night calls of nature.I was a little skeptical about how well this cot was going to hold me as I'm a husky 5'8" 210lb guy (sorry ladies, I'm already spoken for) and this cot is comes with a light weight aluminum frame. It also seemed that I couldn't get the mat as taught as I would have liked. I was pleasantly surprised with how sturdy the cot actually is, especially when you lay down on it. Sitting on it, the height was great, especially for an average height fellow, and left ample storage space underneath. The cot will rock lengthwise while sitting, however when laying down, that becomes much less apparent. In fact, the cot becomes very stable to the point I didn't have any trouble or concern turning over while sleeping. The cot was surprisingly comfortable. I refer back to how I wasn't able to get the mat as taught as I would have liked, and I'm glad for that. It didn't need to be any tighter. For added comfort/warmth, I put down a foam pad and extra sleeping bag to lay on. It is great! Beats sleeping on the ground any day. Set up (once you know how to do it) and tear down take just a couple of minutes. The main frame and legs fold up and the head and foot bars detach and it all straps together. It is not a heavy item, and with the carry bag's shoulder strap, it is very easy to carry. Are there better/sturdier cots on the market? Probably. But at this price? No way. I was very happy with my purchase and I felt that I got the best bang for my buck. I have had this cot for almost a year now and have used it for camping about 20 nights. It feels as sturdy the last time I slept on it as the first. I would definitely buy another one.
Comfortable and great Customer service
December 8, 2014
The first thing that was hard for me to believe is how comfortable it is. I'm a big guy, 245lbs, 6'2". I fit in the cot and it was comfortable. I slept really well. The side bags are handy for things like cell phone, kindle, ipod, headphones. All those little annoying things that easily get misplaced. My daughter took it to camp for a week and it worked great for her. I took it hunting for a week and it worked great for me. The last night I was sitting on the edge of the bed, and the center leg bent on me. I called the company and they immediately sent me out a new one, no questions asked. Fantastic customer service. I'd recommend the product and the company to others and will use them again in the future.
Better Than I Expected!
February 2, 2014
Before I purchased this cot. I personally visited: Dick's Sporting Goods. Sears. Big 5, Wal-Mart and an Army-Navy surplus store in Temecula California. I read the "claims" on the boxes and actually tried-out a few cots. I was not impressed with the claims or the products; especially for the prices they were asking. (I was looking for the kind of sturdy cots I remembered from my soldiering days. I'm a Vietnam vet).I liked the reviews submitted here for this product but I was still quite skeptical because I was not able to find anything comparable out in the brick 'n mortar stores. (The reviews seemed too good to be true). Anyway, I took the plunge and ordered it. I requested the "free shipping" and it arrived sooner than estimated.I've used it about five times now. My grand kids visit and they boot me out of my bed, they're under seven-years old and they make it impossible for me to get a good nights sleep when they're in bed with my wife and me.I strongly recommend this product for these reasons: 1) It's easy to assemble and it's easy to take down. Only one suggestion here though. Pay attention to HOW it was packed when it arrived. The storage bag is nice and tight and you must fold the canvas cot around the frame in pretty much the same way it was folded when it arrived. (If you fold it right, the time to take it down and store it is less than two minutes...if you don't you'll have a losing battle on your hands.) 2) It's more comfortable and warmer than an air mattress and also it's much easier to get out of the cot than it was to get off of the air mattress. 3) It's sturdy. I'm a fairly large man (250lbs) and it feels fine. 4) It's super convenient, easy to store and in the storage bag it's not really that heavy and it looks a whole lot better than any old Army cot.
Great cots!
July 21, 2012
My husband and I are now to the age where getting up and down from the ground is a little tough, so we decided to buy cots for our camping trips. We tent camp, cook over a fire, etc. These cots are great and are a great price! They fold up compactly, so they are easy to carry and open very easily. All you have to do is put the head & foot bars in. The tightness of the cots can be adjusted. They come with storage bags you can hang on the cot - which is great for putting your glasses and flashlight in. We both found them to be extremely comfortable! They are a good length. Even comes with a little pillow! They look very sturdy and well made. The only problem was that they had a real strong stench to them when they arrived. We set them up on our porch and sprayed them with fabric freshener and let them stay out for a week and they were okay.
Better than expected
June 15, 2012
After reading other reviewers complain about the crossbars being hard to install I left the box in the entry way until my college son could come home & help. I also noticed some mentioned the smell so my curiosity got the better of me & I decided to open the box 'just to let it air out'. Surprise! No smell other than a brief 'new' smell as I pulled it out which quickly dissipated. I thought I'd stretch it out till he came. Well, folks, that is all there is to installation - just stectch it out & snap on the cross bars which were, well - a snap. :-) I'm turning 60 with weak wrists from overuse & this was was easy! Final test, being 'mature' with periodic back aches I laid on it expecting to need to quickly roll to my side before my back started to hurt. Oh no, this baby is back-friendly (& plenty stable to turn over if you want to). This is coming from a massage therapist with many years experience. Now I want another one for guests. Tonight though, I'm sleeping under the stars, days before the college son ever gets home. :-) Ahhh...6/19/12: Uh-hum. After trying the cot a few nights, I will add this: The 1st night I tried it with a sheet only & was able to fall asleep but was aware of the bars around all 4 sides. The 2nd night I folded the therafoam padding from my larger bed in half on it and tried it again. Again I slept well but was still aware of the rectangle of metal bars around it. *Perhaps this is typical of all cots*, dunno, but it was easy to set up & take down & the side pouches would be super handy on a camping trip. Just dont expect it to feel like your bed at home. And why does Earth sell the same cot for almost the same price under 2 separate listings, only one hides the price-up under shipping costs & throws in a $1 pillow (most will prefer their own pillow)? Lastly I did notice some material sag in the hip area of the fabric after the 1st night even though I'm no where near 200 lbs. I tightened the Velcro both before & after the first night but it didn't seem to change that. I'd recommend centering your hip area over the center strap of fabric which is heavier to get more longevity out of the product. Happy camping! :-)6/29/12 UPDATE: I bought the Earth Jamboree Cot 1st, then the Texsport. The Texsport is a far better cot & around $20 less! This one has bells & whistles of the side hanging pocket and pillow but what we care about is a good night's sleep. The Texsport is tight & quiet. The Military one creaks. Other than the Velcro pockets, they're pretty much the same except the Texsport is a lot tighter & more comfortable. Wish I'd bought the Texsport 1st, then I would've looked no further.
Lightweight and sturdy folding cot

This cot is all that I anticipated and more. It's comfortable and strong, and being able to adjust the tension of the fabric is a big plus.

Love it. It takes no assembly whatsoever, but still feels sturdy. I put a memory foam mattress in it and it's very comfy....guest bed
Nice sleep

Suggestions:1) get the thickest foam pad you can pack2) save some cardboard from one of your many amazon orders, to pad the feet and protect your tent floor.3) make d___ well sure it is all the way open before you put weight on it. It does NOT lock open, so it is held open by your weight.
Sturdy enough for my husband to use at Scout camp.
June 11, 2016
Here is another item that we purchased for my husband to attend Scout Camp. He is a new Scoutmaster and this will be his first year attending camp. As a leader he doesn’t have to sleep on the ground but can take a cot with him. Now, my husband is not a small man and wanted to be sure he had a sturdy cot that would handle his size. There are several things that he really likes about the Coleman Pack Away Cot. One is that it is 80” long and sits 17” high so he doesn’t have to sit down so low to get on the cot and will hold up to 300lbs. Another feature he really likes are the crossed, metal legs that easily fold out and back up again and then the folded cot fits into a zippered case. He likes that the hinge at the center of the side rails is covered by a canvas flap. The last feature that he really likes is that the side table can fasten on either side of the cot. At just over 20lbs this is not a backpacking cot but will work well for camping in a spot where he can park close to the campsite.
Very comfy and worth getting!
October 12, 2015
I bought this cot because of the reviews and price. I have to say, my husband was not a fan because it does not lock but we used it all weekend on a camp out and we had absolutely zero problems with it.I move A LOT in my sleep and it was great. I did put a small cushion underneath just in case and used my sleeping bag. I was very comfortable all night. It is very long and wide enough for me and my husband. I am heavy set so I was a bit reluctant to buy a cot. The cot is built well and can withstand a lot of movement. I would recommend this to anyone. Very worth it!Make sure you have a big enough tent. I have an 8 man tent and I had room for both cots and enough space for someone else to sleep on the floor. I don't think you could fit 3 of these in an 8 man tent. Keep that in mind when purchasing.
My Kind of Cot
August 26, 2015
These cots are exactly what we were looking for. The unfold and fold up easily and they were the perfect length and width. It made a big difference in our camping experience. My husband cut a foam padding to fit and with our sleeping bags on top, it was comfortable and secure feeling. While we did not use the side table, it's nice to have them available if we decide to use them in the future. So much better than air mattresses because we now have the room underneath the cot to store all our camping stuff. All in all it was one of the best buys we've found.
Worth it. If you appreciate value.

I love this cot
September 22, 2017
I love this cot. It is sturdy, long, great height. The ONLY complaints I have are that it is very squeaky when you move and it is quite firm/hard, I suggest a nice thick padding layer. I turn over a lot at night due to previous back and shoulder injury which makes it uncomfortable to stay in one position very long even thought I have a 4 in memory foam pad on top. It does annoy my family when my cot squeaks and creaks, and it is not from a joint where I could add WD40. It is the canvas against the metal frame that makes it creak. When I'm camping alone that isn't an issue, but if you are camping with others they might get annoyed by the noise it makes when you move.
Good but could be quieter
September 20, 2016
I bought mine over 2 years ago and have used it dozens of times up and down the east coast. It does everything I need it to do. It's long and it supports my 5'11"/230 lb frame. It's great to swing my legs out of bed in the morning and get dressed. It's stable as can be and travels pretty well. It sets up quickly and easily. It's firm with no sag at all even after this long. There's a knack for folding it up and getting it into the bag. It's even tougher on cold nights. Be sure to tuck down both ends before attempting to fold it up. A habit I formed over time of struggling with it pinching the material and making it impossible to fold and get in the bag. This past weekend one of the velcro ties snapped off. I can't complain as it's been two years of chucking it in the back of the truck. The big issue I have is how creaky it is. If you are a light sleeper it will wake you up momentarily. Other than that it's not a bad first cot. The creakiness is why it didn't get a 5 star from me.
Serviceable. There are probably better quality cots available, but for this price it is a good value.
December 1, 2015
The cot is basic, but comfortable. I would have given 4 stars, but the gadgets that hang from the sides (which are removable) are a complete waste. The cot itself is sturdy and comfortable. The attachments attach with a thin strip of velcro - sort of cheap and cheezy. My evaluation of the cot would be higher if they just didn't include those silly things. The bag you put the cot in is nice, sturdy fabric. Overall, very good value. Don't expect this cot to be around in 20 years, but for 5 years of use 3-5 times a year.....this is the cot for you.
It did not come with any instructions or paperwork of any kind but it is very easy to set up
November 15, 2015
My camp cot arrived a day early, always a plus, and was just what I was looking for. When the cot is in the bag it is slim but has notable weight. The bag and shoulder strap seemed rugged and capable. It did not come with any instructions or paperwork of any kind but it is very easy to set up. When I lay down on it my weight helps keep the fabric taut, a very comfortable sleep surface. In addition, I am 5'9" and had plenty of room to sleep. I am using this for light camping and overflow guest bedding. Finally, the reason for four stars is this; the pillow included with the cot was so small it just won't work for me. I move around quite a bit when I sleep and this pillow would never keep up.The price is right and for my level of use I'm happy to have it.
The good the bad the ugly of this folding cot
August 4, 2012
This is what I think after owning it a few months. I've used it indoors and outdoors. Here's the scoop. Its a nice size and I feel like i can move all over on it when I sleep and the sleeping bag fits nice on it (and I have an extra sized bag). The pillow did come in handy when I was sleeping outdoors in a campground the night before I hiked Mount Washington in NH. Folds up into a nice case. Kept me off the ground and clean/dry all night. It is not something you want to carry on you all day for a hike. Its more of a 'throw this in the car and take it out when you need it' item. Its not super heavy but its heavy enough that i wont carry it on my back and it is big enough that I wont carry it on a hike too.The little removable pouches and pockets seem like a great idea but I havent used them yet. I just take them off and leave them at home. Although they do seem to be quite useful. I just never had to cross that bridge of needing them yet.At home I crash on it when I want to sleep in the living room or have a guest that needs a bed and i dont want them sleeping on my couch. They have no complaints.Sturdy and after lots of use it doesnt seem to have any wear on it. Comfortable to sleep on. Sturdy enough to sit on. Easy to set up (like 2-3 minutes), easy to fold closed (2-3 min).I see this being a great item to have and my wife thinks im crazy but I want to sleep in the backyard during a snow storm with my sleeping bag on this cot. When i do that Ill let you all know (If I survive the night)
Very sturdy and comfortable for what it is
March 24, 2012
I bought this so that I'd have a place to sleep while my house guest used my bed. I didn't buy an accompanying cot mattress.First, the pros. The cot is extremely sturdy. Although you do get some creaking noises when you sit down, the cot doesn't shake or buckle at all when sitting or lying on top of it. Taking down the cot and putting it into the canvas bag are relatively easy. The canvas material on the cot itself is strong. Even though I didn't need the travel pillow or the attaching bags for camping supplies, I think they're a great addition. The cot is extremely roomy and I had no trouble turning in my sleep or sitting cross-legged on it. And, for the first few hours of lying on it, it was comfortable. The only two cons are that my arm was seriously hurting by the morning and that it's hard to assemble. I like that I didn't have to screw or tighten anything, that it just folds open and closed, but the difficult part was attaching the bars at either end. The bars have two holes on either side. They slide through a pocket in the canvas at each end and then fit onto the cot. The cot has two little plastic nubs that go into the holes. This keeps the canvas taut and the frame more secure. They were SO difficult for me to slap on, though. I kept smacking and snacking the bar into place and they just wouldn't work. I finally had to ask my partner to get them on for me and even he had some problems. In the morning when I took down the cot, I also had trouble getting the bars off the frame. This cot is really well made and you get a lot for the price. Assembly couldn't be any easier, except for those darn bars. And if you buy a cot mattress, I bet it'd be really comfortable. Even without the mattress, it wasn't so bad. It's much better for the back than sleeping on the floor or ground.

It's huge, but otherwise great.
August 7, 2017
It's very substantial which also means it's very heavy. It is also pretty high off the ground standing at the approximate height of your regular bed. I was able to fit two of these in a 3 person tent with zero room to spare forcing one to crawl over the other. I'm 5'10" and had tons of space above and below meI recommend it but caution you on its size/weight.

December 7, 2016
Have used several times now. I'm 6'2" and this provides plenty extra room. Setup is as easy as pulling it apart and breaks down just as easy. You could setup or breakdown in under 30 seconds. Great addition with the side table. Very comfortable and easy to sleep in. I will pull it out and just lay in the back yard when I want to get away and day dream or write. Seems durable so should hold up. Will make for great sleeping situation for extra guests.
... she did not have enough beds to sleep everyone comfortably. These are great for car camping
July 25, 2016
I bought three of these for a recent trip to my mother's house as she did not have enough beds to sleep everyone comfortably. These are great for car camping, or accomodating a guest for a night or two. I used mine along with a backpacking inflatable mattress and was comfortable enough. It beats the heck out of just sleeping on the ground! Much more comfortable! THey are very sturdy and supported my 6'2" 300lb body well and comfortably.
Nice Folding Cot for Camping
July 2, 2015
Very nice cot. My teenage daughter (about 115 lbs) slept on this at camp for 4 nights in a row and said it's comfortable. She was a little nervous about it folding up with her if she put too much weight on one end, but it never happened. The way the cot's legs are designed (your weight holds them down, they don't click/lock into place) it was a possibility. I stored her suitcases under the cot after setting it up, that way if it started to fold it wouldn't be able to go very far. No problems and the bonus was getting the suitcases out of the way! :) The only time the cot tried to fold up was when I was putting the sheet on, because I had got up on my knees to reach the other end of the cot and my weight was very unevenly distributed on the cot.Overall very pleased with this purchase. Putting up and taking down was a breeze (I did it every morning and night to make more room in our cabin). Just a note- the side table is an on or off kind of deal, it does not fold down out of the way. You have to remove it, which isn't a big deal since it literally sits in place, but it's worth mentioning.
Well made and comfy
June 9, 2015
As my son started Cub Scouts, we needed to get some camp gear. (our pack camps a LOT). Before I invested a bunch of money in the gear, I borrowed some from friends to make sure the wife was on board. She loved it, so time to gear up.I borrowed two different cots. One like this and one with stretchers across the head and foot. I liked the firmness of the tightly stretched cot with the bars, but they were pricey. I found these and bought two so there would be no discussion over whos was better. After several camping trips, I found these are far easier to setup. The stretched ones take some real effort to get the bars in. These just unfold and ready to go. They are quite comfortable, and the little side table is great as it has a cup holder. We've even used them for guest beds with no complaints.I guess eventually I'll need to get two more for the kids. They are sleeping on the ground, but eventually they are going to wise up. :)

While the cot was as expected, the carry case/bag was less than. It arrived already torn. The materials used were not as heavy duty or high quality. It was too close to my trip and didn't want to hassle with a return.

Slept on it two nights camping. Held up ok seeing how i am a bigger guy. 6 foot 3 320 pounds. Sets up easy and packs away easy. Would give 5 stars but want to see how it does over time first.
It's OK!!
April 10, 2016
This cot is an OK size for an average person, but if you are a little bigger size man, it would be tight from side to side. The pillow that is with this is a joke!! And it comes with a side pouch to hang over the side for goodies, and one of them I received did not have any Velcro on it to attach to the side. Luckily I can sew and will just sew some velcro on.
Cot height.

Just wish the height of the cot was a little higher. I have trouble with my back getting up and down. But over all am pleased with the cot except for the height.

Haven't taken it on a trip yet. But it's big and HEAVY!! Also comfortable, but HEAVY. You are going to need a nap after you drag this thing from the car. - hope it's not a long walk.
Bring a pad
October 14, 2016
I love the cot, love the quick setup and take down. If set up properly, I'm not worried about it collapsing. It just isn't that comfortable to sleep on. I'm going to try it with a pad next time. For the money, this should come with the pad.
It's Okay Short Term
May 20, 2016
Great for the price, and the side table is great, but I wouldn't want to sleep on it for more than 2 or 3 days. I've slept in far more comfortable cots. This was a gift after I moved into my new house and was waiting on getting a mattress. I didn't however get restful sleep sleeping on it and was sure ready to sleep on an air mattress after the second day.
Nice, but not really sturdy
January 7, 2016
These are nice; easy to put up and are a good size. My only problem is there is no way to lock them in place, so they can collapse if you are not careful or don't have them all the way open. I got them for my kids, and the first time they used them one collapsed when my kid got on it. She didn't get hurt, but learned that if you are getting into the cot, you need to do so carefully.
Okay for the kids
July 2, 2015
It makes a lot of creaking noises the first few times you use it; I think it needs some breaking-in. It has a funny smell to it that's gradually dissipating. It's very heavy and surprisingly difficult to set up with only one person because of the odd way it folds up. And be careful not to wiggle too much in the head-to-toe direction while you're lying on it because it might collapse and you'll end up on the floor. And it's not very comfortable unless you put some kind of pad on it.
Perfect For Home - Not So Much For Camping
March 11, 2015
I would give this a TEN for a temporary cot AT HOME - it's incredibly comfortable even with no pad. It's a comfortable length, width and even height. The little table is helpful just because this sits as high as a typical bed (less chance to tip it over reaching for something). Unfortunately, as a camp cot it probably rates a TWO - as this thing is very large and very heavy (21 pounds) - what you cannot imagine is how awkward this is to get into a tent if it's not fully closed. We actually hurt our backs getting it in and out of tents - it's almost too large for even our largest 4-person tent. The legs do not really lock - so while we felt it was totally stable on a house floor we were less sure of it on uneven camp footing.

One major flaw
November 18, 2016
The cot itself is very good - sturdy, comfortable and easy to set up. However, the carrying case which it came in has a large tear in it. Unfortunately, Amazon only gives me the option to return the entire cot - but I need the cot immediately. I would like to get a replacement carrying case.
Dont belive the 350lbs rating
July 2, 2016
I weight roughly 320 and ordered 2 one for myself and one for my son for scout campouts. Easy to set up but the frame rocks a lot if you move around when you sleep. The frame bent on mine the second night. Received a replacement through amazon and it did the same. Not a bad cheap cot for my kids but not rated for the weight they claim.
Fair but not great... Noisy and first night out damaged.
May 22, 2016
I have had the cot since early April but had not had a chance to use it myself until this past weekend (May 20-22, 2016) at a Virginia State Park. I camped with a friend in a 6 man dome tent. She had a cot and I had the Earth Products Jamboree Military style folding cot to sleep on. She had bought a cot without individual feet just bars connecting each support perpendicular to the length of the cot.Two observations on the Jamboree cot.1. It is very noisy if you are like me move a bit to get comfy. I think that is the metal construction and all the moving parts that have to flex, but it was a noisy thing to sleep on.2. The feet burred into the floor of my tent into the gravel beneath The gravel was a bit too deep where were were camping and my cot kept burying its feet into the bottom of the tent floor to a point where I thought it would break through and may have stretched the floor to no longer be water proof. I have re-pitched the tent to see if that is the case. The noise was not too bad to deal with but the resulting twisting and bending for the metal in the middle of the cot is a big NOT COOL for me. I would think that the cot would have stood up to use one night on uneven ground.I may return this week. Not happy at all.My friend had no such problems

July 23, 2017
This cot is a nice size, wide enough to be comfortable and a nice height from the floor but the problem is every time the sleeper moves it creates really loud sounds as the fabric adjusts against the railing. It's difficult for anyone in close proximity to sleep.

December 27, 2016
I must of got a lemon. I bought this for the holidays to accommodate an unexpected family member down for Christmas. Upon setting it up it had an alarming amount of wobble. On the first night of use the legs on one side collapsed. This resulted in frame being bent. It wont fold up correctly now or fit back into its storage bag. I don't get let down by amazon ever so this is just a fluke I guess. Regardless I wont be buying this item again.
Too firm and too loud!
September 1, 2016
Purchased two and wish we could return.... Very firm, which some might like, but also very noisy when repositioning yourself at night. My husband and I basically kept each other up all night with every move we each made. Disappointed.
No locking legs!!
July 10, 2016
We purchased two of these cots to keep us off the floor. I love Coleman...in fact very few of my camping equipment is made from anyone else. Let me start by saying these cots are heavier than I expected. When we unfolded them they kept collapsing. We looked for instructions to lock the legs only to discover they don't lock at all! We did not have them collapse while sleeping on them. However when our children bump them or push them on the sides, they nearly landed on a few toes. I'd like to also say I am a thin woman, but found the width a bit difficult to get used to. Those bars don't feel great on the hip bone. I am terrified all night that it is going to give as it rocks back and forth. Although no fall, not sure i will ever sleep soundly

Broke after three uses.
July 22, 2017
Bought two cots and the plastic ends the hold the end bars on broke after 3 uses. They are cheap cots and wasted my money. Don't buy this type.
I have had this a while but to break like that.

This item was poorly stitched, did not last long, and the Velcro straps that "held" the pouches together were not very well designed. In fact, I bought this only three months (Estimated) ago, give or take, and today it made it into my trash can.

The cot is so noisy that, if you move at all, it wakes others in the room. On our first trip with it, the carrying bag it comes with tore apart!
I do not recommend this cot

I do not recommend this cot. The middle legs broke the first time my husband used it. He is not over the weight limit. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, now it is too late to return it.

Collapsed, Dangerous as Designed
March 25, 2017
We received 2 of these cots a month ago. We used them the first time tonight for 2 of our grandsons. I told them to only get on and off from the center not the ends. I noticed the cots were unstable in the long axis as I put them up, but pressed on as the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. An hour after they went to bed, we heard a noise and crying. He was not getting off the cot, he simply shifted enough more towards the end and the cot shifted enough to collapse. The cot had collapsed at the head end, the end that is most probable to have the most weight, regardless of the size of the person. The cots need framing added to ensure they are stable end to end as well as friction added to the legs where they contact the surface they are standing on. They should be designed so that they do not shift and or collapse regardless of where the weight is.
Damaged product!

The item itself was damaged inside. Tue box was fine which tells me the product was packaged in damaged condition and shipped. Very disappointed as it was a christmas gift toy dad and he opened it and it was what he wanted but dmaaged...
Piece of garbage.......fabric tears easily!
August 11, 2016
Piece of garbage. Do not buy. I had it less than 6 months and only used it a hand full of times and it got a tiny tear in it........that tear proceeded to split wide open and dump me onto the ground..........for the price you pay you would think that they could make a better, stronger fabric.
Solid cot, comfortable enough, but squeaky and no locking
March 21, 2016
It is nice and big, so you never feel like you are falling off or have to crunch up your legs. Very sturdy construction, so it should last a lifetime. What I don't like about it is that the material squeaks very loudly around the bars, so every time you roll over or get in/out it makes noise. Not a huge deal if you are camping or in an otherwise noisy environment, but we got it mainly to help with sleep training our baby in the nursery & the squeaks are not very good for that. Also, the legs don't lock in place so if you try to scoot it over, it collapses all over the place.UPDATE: Changing to 1 star since it ripped down the side and we are under the weight limit. We weren't folding it up, it just ripped while laying on it. Seems like a lot of people have had the same problem, so there are definitely some quality issues.
