With the pad and tent I slept like a baby
July 5, 2017
I hit a home run with this product. With the pad and tent I slept like a baby. I have camped about a half year in my life and I thought I was through with it. The cot is easy to get up and down off of it. The pillow stays in place. I am a big guy and I was well supported. 1st night I didn't use the rain fly and enjoyed viewing the night sky. The second night thunderstorms blew in and I attached the rain fly. It rained pretty hard and I was dry all the time I was in the tent. I slept all night both nights and I have to say the cot and pad gave me the best night of sleep camping. My wife and I are planning some more camping trips. The system is great for car camping.

What to do for the chez lounge as a couch surfer? Get this cot. Been sleeping on it for 23 days so far... and... i am sleeping great! A little observation to those of us who are using this cot long term as i currently am; a pad or twin mattress of some substantial density is needed for ultimate comfort. I have been utilizing firm outdoor chair cushions which work and fit a tight budget. Teton sells a cot pad but its price point is more than the cot. The swale of the cot is suited for those who sleep on their backs for use without additional padding. I am a side sleeper and after 4 days of no padding my comfortably level began to decrease. With the current set up their is no problem. Kinda neat to have room for my 42 pound on border collie and I on the XXL cot and their has been no competition for room( plenty o'room). Buy it, use it, cushion it if need be and this may be the first but will certainly be the last cot you ever need to buy. Strong, durable( hey hunters no fancy knife play after the buck that you get like your grandfather- it is strong flexible resistant fabric completely pervious to the stray jab as you regale your friends with the hunt:) Enjoy and get a good nights sleep with Teton Sports XXL cot. Thank you Teton for a great product!
Great for an everyday bed
July 4, 2015
I got this cot (and the TETON Sports Camp Cot Pad XXL and a 2 inch memory foam pad) when I got tired of patching holes in inflatable beds until I gave up and got a new inflatable bed. I work nights, my friend works days, and his wife has been bedbound for 15 years or so. I stay at his house while he is at work. So, this is not an occasional camping bed for me. It's the bed I use 5 or 6 days a week. If I was just using it for camping, it'd be fine by it's self or with the cot pad, but I wanted it a little softer since I use it most of the time. I got this a year ago and it is still working just fine for me. After a couple months, it sags in the middle a little bit but not that bad. Especially since it's not really intended as a permanent bed. After he recently was on vacation and so I didn't need to sleep there for a bit, I got used to my regular bed that doesn't sag in the middle. So I ordered a new cot but packed the old one up in case it's needed. It is easy to pack up and set up. I use the handle of a hammer as a lever to help put the end pieces on with no trouble but leave it setup for the most part. They just didn't want me getting a real bed in case they needed the room. A cot or inflatable bed is a lot easier to move out of the way. I am never going back to inflatable beds! It's cots and real beds from now on.
Update: Can I get one that is not defective
April 28, 2014
This is the second cot I ordered. The first one went together really nicely and was exactly what I expected. However, it looked like a dog had chewed the posts. There were teeth marks. So I asked for a replacement and I got it within 2 days. The minute I opened the replacement, I saw a hole in the fabric. Didn't even need to put it together to see it. This product is exactly what we are looking for, however I would expect one that is not chewed or torn. I asked for yet another replacement. I was told that they will get back to me. I will update the review when a replacement without defects is delivered.
Update: Finally got one that was not defective. It is great. We originally ordered it for our cabin, but I have found another use for it. We are trying to transfer our son to his crib and I was easily able to set this cot up in his room while we work on this. It was easy for me to put up and take down. Great product
Love this thing

I am using my Teton XXL cot as my regular bed for the next year. I work as an Americorps VISTA volunteer for the American Red Cross. As a VISTA, I'm required both to relocate AND to live at the poverty level while serving. As you can imagine, furnishing a temporary space cheaply-but-adequately is a challenge.

GREAT SOLUTION FOR VOLUNTEER ON A BUDGET
This cot is such a great sleep solution in my situation for a few reasons. First, it's sturdy. I am nowhere near the cot's alleged weight limit. Even so, I will be using it every day to sleep on...so I figure that's gotta contribute more toward metal fatigue than if it was solely used for the odd night out camping. So far, so good. Second, it's cheaper than a new bed. That's pretty much obvious. Third, I can move this all by myself, without a moving van or helpers. That's awfully cool. Not only can I maintain my independence, I don't have to absorb the cost of moving it or leaving it behind when service is over.

COMFORTABLE
I have been sleeping on it without a pad and it is comfortable without one but I think it will be even better with one. The height is about bed height, too...when I sit on it, my legs reach the floor (I'm 5'8") just barely. There is enough leg room to really stretch out and you can toss and turn without feeling like you could accidentally throw yourself out of it.

Did I mention I love this thing?

Best Bang for Your Buck
April 3, 2015
Like many of the others here, I bought this after reading some of the reviews, so I hope that mine might be able to help someone out with their buying decision. First, the con's of this particular package. The first thing that I noticed was the pillow. It is absolutely worthless. It is tiny, nowhere near to scale as the example pic would have you believe. I suppose if you had nothing else, you could stuff it into the nylon pillow case and survive a night, but it would be very uncomfortable. Second thing is that the cot comes in a box without any instructions for set up. I was able to figure it out fairly quickly and it is pretty straight forward, however some might find it a little frustrating to figure out the first time they do it.Now to the good stuff. The cot comes with a carry bag, that is excellent. It feels very durable and everything fits into it easily. The side storage bag is very handy. I use it mainly to keep my flashlight easily accessible for the those late night calls of nature.I was a little skeptical about how well this cot was going to hold me as I'm a husky 5'8" 210lb guy (sorry ladies, I'm already spoken for) and this cot is comes with a light weight aluminum frame. It also seemed that I couldn't get the mat as taught as I would have liked. I was pleasantly surprised with how sturdy the cot actually is, especially when you lay down on it. Sitting on it, the height was great, especially for an average height fellow, and left ample storage space underneath. The cot will rock lengthwise while sitting, however when laying down, that becomes much less apparent. In fact, the cot becomes very stable to the point I didn't have any trouble or concern turning over while sleeping. The cot was surprisingly comfortable. I refer back to how I wasn't able to get the mat as taught as I would have liked, and I'm glad for that. It didn't need to be any tighter. For added comfort/warmth, I put down a foam pad and extra sleeping bag to lay on. It is great! Beats sleeping on the ground any day. Set up (once you know how to do it) and tear down take just a couple of minutes. The main frame and legs fold up and the head and foot bars detach and it all straps together. It is not a heavy item, and with the carry bag's shoulder strap, it is very easy to carry. Are there better/sturdier cots on the market? Probably. But at this price? No way. I was very happy with my purchase and I felt that I got the best bang for my buck. I have had this cot for almost a year now and have used it for camping about 20 nights. It feels as sturdy the last time I slept on it as the first. I would definitely buy another one.
Comfortable and great Customer service
December 8, 2014
The first thing that was hard for me to believe is how comfortable it is. I'm a big guy, 245lbs, 6'2". I fit in the cot and it was comfortable. I slept really well. The side bags are handy for things like cell phone, kindle, ipod, headphones. All those little annoying things that easily get misplaced. My daughter took it to camp for a week and it worked great for her. I took it hunting for a week and it worked great for me. The last night I was sitting on the edge of the bed, and the center leg bent on me. I called the company and they immediately sent me out a new one, no questions asked. Fantastic customer service. I'd recommend the product and the company to others and will use them again in the future.
Better Than I Expected!
February 2, 2014
Before I purchased this cot. I personally visited: Dick's Sporting Goods. Sears. Big 5, Wal-Mart and an Army-Navy surplus store in Temecula California. I read the "claims" on the boxes and actually tried-out a few cots. I was not impressed with the claims or the products; especially for the prices they were asking. (I was looking for the kind of sturdy cots I remembered from my soldiering days. I'm a Vietnam vet).I liked the reviews submitted here for this product but I was still quite skeptical because I was not able to find anything comparable out in the brick 'n mortar stores. (The reviews seemed too good to be true). Anyway, I took the plunge and ordered it. I requested the "free shipping" and it arrived sooner than estimated.I've used it about five times now. My grand kids visit and they boot me out of my bed, they're under seven-years old and they make it impossible for me to get a good nights sleep when they're in bed with my wife and me.I strongly recommend this product for these reasons: 1) It's easy to assemble and it's easy to take down. Only one suggestion here though. Pay attention to HOW it was packed when it arrived. The storage bag is nice and tight and you must fold the canvas cot around the frame in pretty much the same way it was folded when it arrived. (If you fold it right, the time to take it down and store it is less than two minutes...if you don't you'll have a losing battle on your hands.) 2) It's more comfortable and warmer than an air mattress and also it's much easier to get out of the cot than it was to get off of the air mattress. 3) It's sturdy. I'm a fairly large man (250lbs) and it feels fine. 4) It's super convenient, easy to store and in the storage bag it's not really that heavy and it looks a whole lot better than any old Army cot.
Great cots!
July 21, 2012
My husband and I are now to the age where getting up and down from the ground is a little tough, so we decided to buy cots for our camping trips. We tent camp, cook over a fire, etc. These cots are great and are a great price! They fold up compactly, so they are easy to carry and open very easily. All you have to do is put the head & foot bars in. The tightness of the cots can be adjusted. They come with storage bags you can hang on the cot - which is great for putting your glasses and flashlight in. We both found them to be extremely comfortable! They are a good length. Even comes with a little pillow! They look very sturdy and well made. The only problem was that they had a real strong stench to them when they arrived. We set them up on our porch and sprayed them with fabric freshener and let them stay out for a week and they were okay.
Better than expected
June 15, 2012
After reading other reviewers complain about the crossbars being hard to install I left the box in the entry way until my college son could come home & help. I also noticed some mentioned the smell so my curiosity got the better of me & I decided to open the box 'just to let it air out'. Surprise! No smell other than a brief 'new' smell as I pulled it out which quickly dissipated. I thought I'd stretch it out till he came. Well, folks, that is all there is to installation - just stectch it out & snap on the cross bars which were, well - a snap. :-) I'm turning 60 with weak wrists from overuse & this was was easy! Final test, being 'mature' with periodic back aches I laid on it expecting to need to quickly roll to my side before my back started to hurt. Oh no, this baby is back-friendly (& plenty stable to turn over if you want to). This is coming from a massage therapist with many years experience. Now I want another one for guests. Tonight though, I'm sleeping under the stars, days before the college son ever gets home. :-) Ahhh...6/19/12: Uh-hum. After trying the cot a few nights, I will add this: The 1st night I tried it with a sheet only & was able to fall asleep but was aware of the bars around all 4 sides. The 2nd night I folded the therafoam padding from my larger bed in half on it and tried it again. Again I slept well but was still aware of the rectangle of metal bars around it. *Perhaps this is typical of all cots*, dunno, but it was easy to set up & take down & the side pouches would be super handy on a camping trip. Just dont expect it to feel like your bed at home. And why does Earth sell the same cot for almost the same price under 2 separate listings, only one hides the price-up under shipping costs & throws in a $1 pillow (most will prefer their own pillow)? Lastly I did notice some material sag in the hip area of the fabric after the 1st night even though I'm no where near 200 lbs. I tightened the Velcro both before & after the first night but it didn't seem to change that. I'd recommend centering your hip area over the center strap of fabric which is heavier to get more longevity out of the product. Happy camping! :-)6/29/12 UPDATE: I bought the Earth Jamboree Cot 1st, then the Texsport. The Texsport is a far better cot & around $20 less! This one has bells & whistles of the side hanging pocket and pillow but what we care about is a good night's sleep. The Texsport is tight & quiet. The Military one creaks. Other than the Velcro pockets, they're pretty much the same except the Texsport is a lot tighter & more comfortable. Wish I'd bought the Texsport 1st, then I would've looked no further.
Lightweight and sturdy folding cot

This cot is all that I anticipated and more. It's comfortable and strong, and being able to adjust the tension of the fabric is a big plus.

Great, big, cot!
March 9, 2016
Great cot. The XXL is BIG!!! So be aware depending on where you're putting it, as well as how far you plan on carrying it to your destination. Out in the open - no issues. Inside a tent - this will take up significant space. In addition, as you can see in the photos, the end bars protrude a few inches on each side (making the end widths about 44.5" wide - so plan accordingly). This may affect aisle space, especially if putting two of these next to each other (as I did inside an REI Kingdom 8 tent - see photo). Putting the end bars on can take some effort - there is a red guide pin on one end that is supposed to make the effort easier. Overall it is very comfortable - I am not using any pad, just a sleeping bag and the cot. Two people on here is snug (good or bad depending on what you are aiming to accomplish).

A few gripes (I hope Teton is listening):
1. The end bars do not lock in place. As this is a wide cot, moving it can be awkward, and lifting by the end bars pop them out of place. This is exacerbated when positioning the cot inside a tent and being careful of the tent floor (you will know what I mean when you try it).
2. The carrying bag is a simple tote bag. I would like to have seen a zippered/fully-enclosed heavier duty canvas bag than what it comes in. Something more weather resistant.
3. Although a separate product, the attachable organizer is only so-so. For lightweight items it is fine. Putting something heavier, like a "beverage", causes it to swing inward under the cot, whereby the angle will cause your beverage to spill if it doesn't have a sealed lid on it. I have a mind to add some weights to the bottom helping to anchor it so as to minimize this effect. Your mileage may vary.
Updated: SO DISAPPOINTED!
August 13, 2015
SO DISAPPOINTED! BENT IT THE FIRST NIGHT AND RIVETS FELL OUT. WOULD HAVE RETURNED IT BUT IT WAS PAST THE 30DAY RETURN PERIOD. Update: Reported the problem to Teton Sports. They shipped the part in less than a week; no charge. Disappointed with the issue, but happy with their response.
Comfortable but heavy.
August 3, 2015
Very heavy. It is big and hard to set up in a 10'x9' tent - mostly because of the way the end legs fold out. The feet have caps on them but I was afraid they might damage the tent floor - so I picked up some leg protectors from the hardware store. I slept on the bed very well - over a 4 night stretch - even overslept one day - very comfortable. I took a single sheet with me (fitted sheet) unfortunately it was too small. I could see using this as a guest bed - it's sturdy and comfortable enough. Easy to setup and take down outside the tent - I did need a lever to get the end bar on (the instructions suggest a hammer or mallet handle) - again hard to do in the confines of a tent. the provided bug is sturdy and over-sized - easy to pack the cot away in. In the Colman "six" person tent there would be barely room for two of these cots. the point of this bed is extra comfort when car camping.
We can now camp in a tent again !
October 14, 2014
We purchased two of these. They are big and bulky and a pain in the butt until they are set up - once they are set up they are the best thing going. We use them camping and even bring them when we stay at family because I'd rather sleep on this then some crappy sofa bed.

So why not 5 stars? In order to get the trampoline like surface you have to give up two things - the first is 'easy to set up'. If you search online you can see a very helpful video of using some sort of pry bar to get the last bar into it's proper place. This is necessary to avoid a ton of aggravation. The second thing is that this is hard hard bed. We made up some memory foam toppers just to use with these cots. So what does that mean? That means when you put these in the trunk of your car you also need room for a mattress pad and a pry bar. Basically think of this as a portable bed more than a cot.

All in all though - I'd do it again in a minute. We can now camp in a tent and enjoy it.

I love this cot
September 22, 2017
I love this cot. It is sturdy, long, great height. The ONLY complaints I have are that it is very squeaky when you move and it is quite firm/hard, I suggest a nice thick padding layer. I turn over a lot at night due to previous back and shoulder injury which makes it uncomfortable to stay in one position very long even thought I have a 4 in memory foam pad on top. It does annoy my family when my cot squeaks and creaks, and it is not from a joint where I could add WD40. It is the canvas against the metal frame that makes it creak. When I'm camping alone that isn't an issue, but if you are camping with others they might get annoyed by the noise it makes when you move.
Good but could be quieter
September 20, 2016
I bought mine over 2 years ago and have used it dozens of times up and down the east coast. It does everything I need it to do. It's long and it supports my 5'11"/230 lb frame. It's great to swing my legs out of bed in the morning and get dressed. It's stable as can be and travels pretty well. It sets up quickly and easily. It's firm with no sag at all even after this long. There's a knack for folding it up and getting it into the bag. It's even tougher on cold nights. Be sure to tuck down both ends before attempting to fold it up. A habit I formed over time of struggling with it pinching the material and making it impossible to fold and get in the bag. This past weekend one of the velcro ties snapped off. I can't complain as it's been two years of chucking it in the back of the truck. The big issue I have is how creaky it is. If you are a light sleeper it will wake you up momentarily. Other than that it's not a bad first cot. The creakiness is why it didn't get a 5 star from me.
Serviceable. There are probably better quality cots available, but for this price it is a good value.
December 1, 2015
The cot is basic, but comfortable. I would have given 4 stars, but the gadgets that hang from the sides (which are removable) are a complete waste. The cot itself is sturdy and comfortable. The attachments attach with a thin strip of velcro - sort of cheap and cheezy. My evaluation of the cot would be higher if they just didn't include those silly things. The bag you put the cot in is nice, sturdy fabric. Overall, very good value. Don't expect this cot to be around in 20 years, but for 5 years of use 3-5 times a year.....this is the cot for you.
It did not come with any instructions or paperwork of any kind but it is very easy to set up
November 15, 2015
My camp cot arrived a day early, always a plus, and was just what I was looking for. When the cot is in the bag it is slim but has notable weight. The bag and shoulder strap seemed rugged and capable. It did not come with any instructions or paperwork of any kind but it is very easy to set up. When I lay down on it my weight helps keep the fabric taut, a very comfortable sleep surface. In addition, I am 5'9" and had plenty of room to sleep. I am using this for light camping and overflow guest bedding. Finally, the reason for four stars is this; the pillow included with the cot was so small it just won't work for me. I move around quite a bit when I sleep and this pillow would never keep up.The price is right and for my level of use I'm happy to have it.
The good the bad the ugly of this folding cot
August 4, 2012
This is what I think after owning it a few months. I've used it indoors and outdoors. Here's the scoop. Its a nice size and I feel like i can move all over on it when I sleep and the sleeping bag fits nice on it (and I have an extra sized bag). The pillow did come in handy when I was sleeping outdoors in a campground the night before I hiked Mount Washington in NH. Folds up into a nice case. Kept me off the ground and clean/dry all night. It is not something you want to carry on you all day for a hike. Its more of a 'throw this in the car and take it out when you need it' item. Its not super heavy but its heavy enough that i wont carry it on my back and it is big enough that I wont carry it on a hike too.The little removable pouches and pockets seem like a great idea but I havent used them yet. I just take them off and leave them at home. Although they do seem to be quite useful. I just never had to cross that bridge of needing them yet.At home I crash on it when I want to sleep in the living room or have a guest that needs a bed and i dont want them sleeping on my couch. They have no complaints.Sturdy and after lots of use it doesnt seem to have any wear on it. Comfortable to sleep on. Sturdy enough to sit on. Easy to set up (like 2-3 minutes), easy to fold closed (2-3 min).I see this being a great item to have and my wife thinks im crazy but I want to sleep in the backyard during a snow storm with my sleeping bag on this cot. When i do that Ill let you all know (If I survive the night)
Very sturdy and comfortable for what it is
March 24, 2012
I bought this so that I'd have a place to sleep while my house guest used my bed. I didn't buy an accompanying cot mattress.First, the pros. The cot is extremely sturdy. Although you do get some creaking noises when you sit down, the cot doesn't shake or buckle at all when sitting or lying on top of it. Taking down the cot and putting it into the canvas bag are relatively easy. The canvas material on the cot itself is strong. Even though I didn't need the travel pillow or the attaching bags for camping supplies, I think they're a great addition. The cot is extremely roomy and I had no trouble turning in my sleep or sitting cross-legged on it. And, for the first few hours of lying on it, it was comfortable. The only two cons are that my arm was seriously hurting by the morning and that it's hard to assemble. I like that I didn't have to screw or tighten anything, that it just folds open and closed, but the difficult part was attaching the bars at either end. The bars have two holes on either side. They slide through a pocket in the canvas at each end and then fit onto the cot. The cot has two little plastic nubs that go into the holes. This keeps the canvas taut and the frame more secure. They were SO difficult for me to slap on, though. I kept smacking and snacking the bar into place and they just wouldn't work. I finally had to ask my partner to get them on for me and even he had some problems. In the morning when I took down the cot, I also had trouble getting the bars off the frame. This cot is really well made and you get a lot for the price. Assembly couldn't be any easier, except for those darn bars. And if you buy a cot mattress, I bet it'd be really comfortable. Even without the mattress, it wasn't so bad. It's much better for the back than sleeping on the floor or ground.

The aluminum around the perimeter is very light gage. don't see how it could hold as much weight as pictured with people standing on it be carful not to set on edge it will bend !! But it's built well accept for that . Maybe there are 2 model 1 heavy 1 light duty ?
Needs better packaging.
March 8, 2017
Would have been 5 stars if the fabric didn't have a few nicks in it. Needs better packaging, I expect the areas with the nicks to fail during my deployment as I will be sleeping on this for an extended period of time.
Disappointed! Would not buy again.
January 6, 2017
Large heavy duty cot but I'm disappointed! The metal end bars snap over a PLASTIC piece. Why plastic on a very expensive cot?The end bars are nearly impossible to stretch over the connecting piece and as soon as I get them in place, they pop off. The cheap plastic piece is not going to survive this. It will end up getting sheared off.
use leverage to set it up. i am female
May 17, 2015
I bought this, has been up for a week. It says. I'm 250. I'm not happy with that. I am a female, will tell u how to set it up. Women's upper body strength is bad, but our legs are strong. So you have three out of four ends attached. The last one is a doozie. I sat on the floor bottom of the cot in front of me, facing me. Push top of cot (opposite end) up against the wall to hold it. Grab onto the bar and put your foot onto the frame at the top and pull the bar out until it catches. That's step one. Step two, stay on the floor, facing the end of the bar you are trying to get into the groove. I put my foot up against the far side of the stand, grab the bar and pull it down into the groove. There you go. Took me awhile to figure that. I dont have the strong grip a man has and upper bidy strength. So I used leverage.I'm upset because it sags. I have to crawl over the side bar to get out of up, pull myself up. I think maybe if I put a mattress on it. Very difficult to get out of because of sagging. Maybe if i had a thick mattress there be less sagging because weight is distributed a bit more? Thinking 5" thick mattress? Sleeping on cot is not very comfortable. I like it sits high. Can put shoes and luggage under it.
Its good...but its BIG
September 2, 2014
UPDATE: So its been a LONG time since I bought this. I must say it turned out to be Junk. A while back one of my friends slept on it with his baby and i guess the weight was too much....The fabric stretched out and its hanging in the middle now. The weight is listed at a max of 600. They were nowhere near that limit. Now its uncomfy and I cant use it at all because of back issues....I think I may have used the thing about 4 times total.------------------------------------------So far so good. Its holding up really well so far. No complaints.Things you want to keep in mind:its bigger than you think (picture 2 cots merged into one jumbo cot). I should have paid more attention to the XXL in the name. When open its pretty high off the ground. Definitely wont fit into small tents. When folded its pretty darn heavy. My sister could barely lift it.Directions for unfolding are a bit confusing but you can figure it out easy enough then reverse the steps to fold. Can be dangerous if you sit on the edges. It almost toppled over when I tried. Its strong and held up for a month of CONSTANT use. I would buy this again if I needed another cot, but i would look for a smaller size.
This is a perfect cot for camping & stows easily on my motorcycle
January 26, 2014
I love the light weight & sturdiness of this cot & my TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Quick Tent (82"x 39"x 32", Orange/Yellow) fit on it perfectly. I loved that I could go camping & not sleep on the ground. I have 2 reasons for giving this 3 stars and the 1st is that it is so freaking hard to put on the "end" bars....Only one time I was able to snap them in place. I've tried many times to do this and it is like fighting a Gorilla. I watched the Videos that the company offers on how to assemble but I'm still having difficulty. I even had a couple of big guys try to assemble and they were sweating & huffing and puffing. The 2nd disappointment is under the cot lining...looks like some kind of waterproofing agent has long vertical cracks. I imagine over time this will be were the cot fabric begins to break down. I was really disappointed in this lack of quality when I 1st saw this flaw. I didn't know this till I came back from my camp trip and was cleaning it up for storage.Because the packaging/shipping material was so big & bulky I threw it away. Had I thought to save it then I might have shipped it back & requested an exchange.

I found it very narrow and it was hard to turn in it. Very basic, but ok for emergencies.

July 22, 2016
While the cot was as expected, the carry case/bag was less than. It arrived already torn. The materials used were not as heavy duty or high quality. It was too close to my trip and didn't want to hassle with a return.
Sets up easy and packs away easy
May 24, 2016
Slept on it two nights camping. Held up ok seeing how i am a bigger guy. 6 foot 3 320 pounds. Sets up easy and packs away easy. Would give 5 stars but want to see how it does over time first.
It's OK!!
April 10, 2016
This cot is an OK size for an average person, but if you are a little bigger size man, it would be tight from side to side. The pillow that is with this is a joke!! And it comes with a side pouch to hang over the side for goodies, and one of them I received did not have any Velcro on it to attach to the side. Luckily I can sew and will just sew some velcro on.
Cot height.
June 9, 2014
Just wish the height of the cot was a little higher. I have trouble with my back getting up and down. But over all am pleased with the cot except for the height.

Not set-up friendly at all...
October 1, 2017
I absolutely love this cot EXCEPT it has one major flaw that would keep me from ordering it again or recommending. That is the way the end bar is attached on both ends. This is the absolute worst design! Such a major disappointment. Not only is it beyond difficult to seat it in place but it does not stay in place. Try to move it, or forget and touch the bar and you risk it coming apart. I cannot tell you how frustrating this was even to the point of tears. I do have an idea on how they can fix this flawed design, I just can't imagine how they have not already done so! So unless you are desperate for a sturdy cot because of the weight limit, I would buy something different as the hassle is not worth it! I bought two, so I'm invested with too much $$ to dispose of them now. Just so disappointed in the very poor engineering. As for comfort, rather shocked how comfortable it was to sleep on. As for sturdy, that too was the case Aside from the fear of the bars lifting off. Definitely a 2-person job maneuvering this cot around.
For over $100, get cabella's
May 21, 2017
The cot sags a ton, so it feels like you're sleeping in a hammock. Also, the bag it comes in is not the one pictured/advertised, it comes in a bag that is completely open along the side, no drawstring as pictured, which makes storage more difficult.
Not an easy daily assembly and dismantling item
January 25, 2016
It's okay, big and bulky, didn't realize the xxl. Not an easy daily assembly and dismantling item. Rods at end of cot are difficult to insert.
but I'm disappointed in the excessive elasticity of the material
December 20, 2015
I weigh 200 lbs. spread out over 6'3" of body and this thing has developed a sag in the middle. It hasn't broken and I still take it to festivals, but I'm disappointed in the excessive elasticity of the material.
Uncomfortable.
November 16, 2015
I thought this would be a good solution for a larger person sleeping on a cot but to be honest I experienced serious back pain after only a couple of nights on this thing. I eventually just slept on the ground with a sleeping pad rather than sleeping on this cot. I will say though - it is a large cot.
Broke after 1 week of indoor use.
October 23, 2015
This cot was definitely way more comfortable than any cot I've slept in. Rivals some spring mattresses even. However, after only a week a rivet popped out on one of the rubber shock absorbers that the bars rest on, thus making it fall out. Upon inspecting the rivet I noticed that the metal was very thin and the entire cot is assembled with them. I needed to use it for one more night so I tied some string to hold the shock absorber in, and hoping that no other rivets pop on me during the night. For something that is supposed to be an "outdoors" product I expected more durability. I just used it to sleep in for a few nights while moving until I got settled, with the intentions to taking it outdoors later. However, I don't have confidence in it to do such a thing. Definitely sticking to my ENO hammock which is more practical to carry long distances than this heavy thing.

Ummm...
March 26, 2017
See the pictures. This cot slept comfortably the first couple times. Then, it collapsed under me. I'll admit, I weighed 329lbs at the time, but still...
Way over priced
March 1, 2017
Walmart quality tag stated China, paid way to much for this item. My bad should have done more research.
One major flaw
November 18, 2016
The cot itself is very good - sturdy, comfortable and easy to set up. However, the carrying case which it came in has a large tear in it. Unfortunately, Amazon only gives me the option to return the entire cot - but I need the cot immediately. I would like to get a replacement carrying case.
Dont belive the 350lbs rating
July 2, 2016
I weight roughly 320 and ordered 2 one for myself and one for my son for scout campouts. Easy to set up but the frame rocks a lot if you move around when you sleep. The frame bent on mine the second night. Received a replacement through amazon and it did the same. Not a bad cheap cot for my kids but not rated for the weight they claim.
Fair but not great... Noisy and first night out damaged.
May 22, 2016
I have had the cot since early April but had not had a chance to use it myself until this past weekend (May 20-22, 2016) at a Virginia State Park. I camped with a friend in a 6 man dome tent. She had a cot and I had the Earth Products Jamboree Military style folding cot to sleep on. She had bought a cot without individual feet just bars connecting each support perpendicular to the length of the cot.Two observations on the Jamboree cot.1. It is very noisy if you are like me move a bit to get comfy. I think that is the metal construction and all the moving parts that have to flex, but it was a noisy thing to sleep on.2. The feet burred into the floor of my tent into the gravel beneath The gravel was a bit too deep where were were camping and my cot kept burying its feet into the bottom of the tent floor to a point where I thought it would break through and may have stretched the floor to no longer be water proof. I have re-pitched the tent to see if that is the case. The noise was not too bad to deal with but the resulting twisting and bending for the metal in the middle of the cot is a big NOT COOL for me. I would think that the cot would have stood up to use one night on uneven ground.I may return this week. Not happy at all.My friend had no such problems

Holes in Canvas
September 13, 2017
I received the XXL outfitter cot today, set up without difficulty and noticed 3 holes in the canvas, almost like it had been melted....I did send an email to Teton- so hopefully they will respond promptly.
After using PIECE OF JUNK edited.
June 20, 2017
Ordered this through Amazon. Product came quickly, and was as described. Rubber feet on legs were oozing the adhesive that holds them to the legs. This adhesive had gotten on the cot and the aluminum rails sometime between manufacturing and when I opened the box. The adhesive got on my hands and clothes when assembling the first time as well.Function looks good. Not too hard to put together.Update 9/27/17 used this camping for a week. Hard to set up and take down. The bag this came in is like a long reusable grocery sack. Bag is cheap. The worst part is set up and take down. This thing is a finger pinching son of a gun. There is no way on earth my wife could get the end bars in place. After a couple of uses metal sockets on bars bend and distort. We bought a different cot for my wife. It was less money and a much better design. Save your money and buy something else.
Chinese Made Garbage
June 13, 2017
Came severely damaged and unfinished from the manufacturer. Sharp metal points remain on the metal frame as if they forgot to grind and sand them. Welds are poor - they melted the frame instead of welding it properly. Made in China, I should of knew better.
Poor QC.

A rivet popped out on first set up. Poor QC.
Cheap rivets. Biggest wasted of money.
January 31, 2017
Too much of a pain to return. Both cots had rivets falling out in the first 5 minutes. Haven't even bothered to haul them camping yet.
not a good design.

cant get the last, (any) edge of the solo bars to reach the peg. i need alot of force and a crowbar to lever it over to the peg and then a hammer to bang into the slot. not a good design.

Broke after three uses.

Bought two cots and the plastic ends the hold the end bars on broke after 3 uses. They are cheap cots and wasted my money. Don't buy this type.
I have had this a while but to break like that.
February 3, 2017
I sat on the edge today and the bar broke. I am 5'4" and weigh 105 and it broke. I have had this a while but to break like that...I need a replacement bar -----

September 27, 2016
This item was poorly stitched, did not last long, and the Velcro straps that "held" the pouches together were not very well designed. In fact, I bought this only three months (Estimated) ago, give or take, and today it made it into my trash can.

The cot is so noisy that, if you move at all, it wakes others in the room. On our first trip with it, the carrying bag it comes with tore apart!
I do not recommend this cot
June 25, 2016
I do not recommend this cot. The middle legs broke the first time my husband used it. He is not over the weight limit. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, now it is too late to return it.
