Five Star Reviews: | 62% Highly recommended Electronic Drum Kit February 12, 2017 Always been a hand drummer, now I can learn to play with sticks, and pedals. Its different, but in just the first day I've made good progress. I like the many drum kits, voices and songs to practice along with. There is much to explore as I learn to play. The response of the pads and foot pedals is excellent. I also like that this electronic drum set is compact and lightweight. With batteries I will be able to take it out on the patio on a nice day. The headphone jack is great because I will not be bothering others in the house. There is nothing to not like here. budget drum sets in the past and they never lasted or the they sounded terrible. Then i found this one March 23, 2016 I am about as amatuer as you can get and did not want a full drum set. I had purchased other, budget drum sets in the past and they never lasted or the they sounded terrible. Then i found this one. i love this thing. The voices are realistic and easy to program but, most inportantly to me, the drum heads are sturdy and sensitive. I don't have to pound on this thing in 'the sweet spot' to get the sound I want. Right now, I'm just playing but I hope to make some music someday and this will help fill in what my software lacks. Love my Pyle drum set. Fun, inexpensive way to try drums out! September 24, 2014 I'm an amateur guitarist that occasionally noodles around with keys. I've always wanted to try drums, but acoustic ones are out of the question for several reasons. Electronic drums can be pricey, and I simply have no where to set up a dedicated set.I stumbled across this kit, and bought it according to the other reviews on this product. I'm happy with it, it's been reliable, it sounds good enough for what I do with it, and it's durable! As I said, I've never played drums, so my accuracy with the sticks is...well...abyssal. I have had my five year old niece and nephew play on it, and it has held up to their inaccurate stick strikes as well.I'm finding I drum with my hands while at work, and thanks to practicing on this kit, my timing has slightly improved, enough to the point where a fellow guitarist noticed and brought it up. I can see dedicated/professional drummers not liking this kit, but for anyone else, it's worth a try! Excellent product! August 21, 2014 I absolutely love the pyle-pro drum kit! I played on it at least an hour when I first got it the packaging was professional as was the item was brand new.you operate the machine by Turning it on and selecting the master volume button Then wait a couple seconds Like3. Then bang away. The instructional manual was useless in how to operate it. Didn't get nowhere the master volume button is how to get sound from the machine.however,it doesn't save youre tracks if you are trying to record only if u turn the power off. I haven't experimented with that yet. But I'm happy with the machine and wouldn't trade it in for another if I could! First one. So I'm gonna enjoy this thing However long it last.thanks for reading my review. Superb Sound! August 9, 2013 We purchased this item as a birthday gift for my 9 year old daughter who wanted a drum set. Little did we know that we were giving her a superbly quality musical instrument. This set has many different sounds that can be changed to alter the type of drum. It sounds great and there was no trouble with her hitting the sides with the drum sticks. Great purchase! Sounds Realistic When Plugged Into Keyboard Amp May 28, 2013 We bought this drum kit for our 11 year old. Here's why:- It's compact- It's electronic so we can vary the volume and even wear headphones- It has many different selectable drum sets- It costs significantly less than what a decent digital drum set would cost.My son loves it and so does the rest of the family. We have formed a family band and this drum kit fits in nicely with the guitar, bass, and vocals when plugged into our Behringer K1800FX keyboard amp Behringer ULTRATONE K1800FX 180-Watt 4-Channel PA System / Keyboard Amplifier. This drum kit sounds incredibly realistic and can get very loud with the keyboard amp. With the keyboard amp the drums can keep up with my 100 Watt Fender Mustang III guitar amp. It's good but it's not perfect:- It does not register every hit, so it might frustrate you if recording. It's good about 99% of the time.- There is no provision for rim strikes.- The pedals are cheesy and tend to move around while you're playing. All in all though, we love these drums and highly recommend them.Update 6/27/2013 - I made a stand for the drum set which dramatically improved the performance of the kicker and hihat pedals. Performance of the set is now close to a professional digital drum set with a smaller footprint and at 1/4 the cost. Total cost of the stand was $26. Here are the components:- Target TV Tray $8- Piece of shelving for bottom of stand free- Angle bracket with screws to mount shelf bottom to stand $2- 1" Angle brackets with screws to hold pedals in place $1- 4" long screws with nylon locking nuts to go through "hinge" of pedal $1- 4 large screw mount tie straps to hold 4" screws free- 1 non slip rug pad from Target $6 | 83% These have a great balanced feel to them March 1, 2017 These have a great balanced feel to them. They hold up to regular abuse. These are not sticks for intense drumming but for drummers who need sticks for fast action and reduced wrist fatigue. I love these and the price is more than worth it. The best sticks out there. April 12, 2016 Perfect size. Not too large like a B and not to small like a 7a. Honestly I wish there was something between the 5a and 7a. I would give it a shot. Vic firth is wonderful. Sticks are great quality and are always weighted nicely. I bought a set of zildjian sticks recently and sent them right back due to bad match weighting. Vic Firth is quality all day, every day. Great Product for VERY little out of pocket January 13, 2016 So my husband appears to be having his mid-life crisis. He (in his 40's) is requesting to have a full size drum set, mind you he has never played any instrument in his entire life!! So I spoke with my father, who is (and always has been) a drummer. He advised me to get a drum pad and recommended these sticks for him to try and see if he liked it before investing in anything huge. My husband really liked the sticks and said they felt good in his hands. He has looked at other brand sticks after getting these and can really tell the difference between this and the others. With these sticks-the weight of each stick is equal and perfectly balanced. I highly recommend the Vic Firth Drumsticks! Especially with the pricing being as fantastic as it was!Vic Firth American Classic 5A Drum Sticks Just buy them! Thank me later. October 16, 2012 Don't waste money on regal tips or any other type of drumsticks. These are durable, light, and they somehow give the snare a better tone. If you love yourself, your friends, that random drummer you saw playing the other day, there is no better gift then Vic Firth American Classics. If your into heavier heavy projection sticks try out the metal ones. They are as advertised. | 71% I've found these green dip 5B sticks are my favorite for my electronic drums September 7, 2017 I've found these green dip 5B sticks are my favorite for my electronic drums. The weight, balance, and thickness work perfectly for me, and the rubber has the perfect grippiness without being stick. These will be my go-to sticks from now on. Great for the practice pad. July 23, 2017 This is just personal preference for a rank amateur using an e-kit. After trying these I still prefer the 5A Anti-vibes for general use on the e-kit, and don't think the heavier, thicker 5B Anti-vibes do anything different, apart from possibly beating up the pads some more. Though they might be more comfortable if you have hands like a blacksmith. However, I have found them very useful on the practice pad, which in turn makes playing the quiet e-kit that much more enjoyable. So it's perhaps worth getting a set of 5As and 5Bs. And with the 5Bs at less than $10, they're at least worth a try. Either way, for me, the Anti-vibes are the way to go on an e-kit; no more wrist pain! Zildjian 5B sticks February 4, 2017 This is my grandson's first 5B sticks. He usually uses 5A. Since he is still learning, he enjoys trying different things. He does like these. Zildjan builds with quality, as always. The logo ... December 29, 2016 Zildjan builds with quality, as always. The logo rubbed off relatively quickly, but these *are* drumsticks, so that was relatively inevitable. The sticks themselves are wooden with nylon tips. great quality for the price April 9, 2016 Bought a couple sets of sticks for my aspiring drummer and he said these are his new favorite. They don't show the dents and the grip is great (from the mouth of a 12 yr old, he is not very descriptive). Great price too. We will be ordering more when we need to. Dipsticks! January 19, 2016 They're great sticks and would love another pair in another size, also! Perfect for practice, very comfortable, but the dip can come off if things get super intense behind the kit (i.e. gripping hard, heavy sweating, really using the sticks harshly) and get scratched by nails. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 21% A great, affordable, good sounding drum pad set! August 25, 2017 I've played percussion for many years, and have played cheap trap sets, high end trap sets, and several electronic drum kits. I bought a Pyle-Pro PTED01 for my 9 year old son, and I was nervous that I wasted my money. I was wrong. This device sounds pretty damn good, and actually has decent response to accented drum strokes and rolls. The pads are small, and take a bit of practice to get used to, so you'll hit the plastic body quite a few times. If anything, it teaches patience. Great, with a dash of stupidity June 20, 2016 This Electronic Drum machine is so good for practicing rhythms and mechanics for drumming. I feel like I've come a long way already with it. The only thing is that I wish there were more recording and output options. There's no function for you to record a solo and export it to a PC, which to me is exactly what I would use this for. Big oversight by the company. This electronic drum kit is really fun if you want to learn how to play drums ... April 11, 2016 This electronic drum kit is really fun if you want to learn how to play drums or just fool around. First, I'm not a drummer. I've played guitar and bass for many years, but I'm not a professional musician. I love the drums, but never took the time to learn to play. I always wanted an electronic drum kit so I wouldn't disturb neighbors and because I believed it would be easier to play than a real drum set. But, these kits were always pricey and I figured if I didn't like playing, it would be a waste of serious money. The PTED01 is the most friendly set I've ever seen for beginners. It is super easy to play and use. I mean it is really, really easy to use. The symbol and kick drum pedals work great except they slide around a little, but you can just simply tape them down to avoid slipping. I've only had the set for one day. I had a blast playing, but I won't feel guilty if I don't play all the time because it is really inexpensive. It seems to be great for kids. And the drums sound pretty good. Without an amp, you aren't going to get performance level sound. Even with an amp, I wouldn't use these to play gigs, but for your garage, they will rock. The drum set is very good for a table top set February 24, 2015 The drum set is very good for a table top set; it has adequate sensitivity in the pads, and responds very well to 'rolling'. I don't recommend setting up on carpet-you can get unwanted multiple strikes with the pedals (depending on your pile). This drum kit is more than adequate for home practice, and has enhanced my ability to play with the worship team at church. Good compact kit with good sound and USB-based MIDI interface December 29, 2014 Didn't have space in the studio for a full electronic drum kit, so this was a compact alternative. It allows us to add drum lines (with more personality than a canned rhythm) to our studio recordings. The USB interface worked flawlessly on Mac OS X, we've only tried in in GarageBand so far, but don't expect issues with Logic or other packages. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the built-in drum kits, and particularly how well it handles snare drum rolls, blending fast taps into a "roll" sound rather than playing the snare sound repeatedly (this probably only works on the audio output, not the MIDI output, I suspect). Awesome set for beginners December 25, 2012 Very pleased with this product. Provides exactly what was described and offers a lot of variety in terms of play style and options and customization. Plenty of different kit sounds to use including hand percussion bongos. Can play along with a melody and drums or turn off the background and hear only your drumming with the music, and tons of songs to pick from. Can customize individual pad sounds as well to make your own custom kit. Volume goes up pretty high, easy to hook up to an amp. Great portability if using batteries. Great pad sensitivity too, able to do drum rolls and the like.Cons: Pedals are somewhat sensitive, press the kick down once and sometimes it will play twice. If playing really fast, or attempting to hit 3 at the same time, may not register one of the sounds. Need an adapter to plug in regular (35mm) headphones (only a couple bucks). Interface can get confusing at times if changing many options, has a red dot at the bottom of the display to indicate what you are currently editing with the wheel selector, however changing individual pads can be slightly difficult.Overall a great product for anyone wanting to learn drums with no room or money for an actual kit. Great for anyone looking for portability or experimenting with different sounds and kits. Had product for about 4 months now, still in great shape. | 12% Fairly well balanced May 10, 2017 Pretty decent sticks and fairly well balanced. But, i had to sand them off a little as the neck and shoulders were a little rough. I play an electric and if I didn't sand them, they would leave marks for sure. Good basic sticks October 28, 2016 Good basic sticks. Took one star off because will probably look for less expensive options in the future. My 13 yr old loses drum sticks constantly so will go the economical route next time. Perfect! But watch out for Silverfish/bugs from packaging...I had a ~1in silverfish appear and make a run for my box of comics.. September 15, 2016 This is coming from a beginner drummer, but the sticks are perfect for rock/heavier stuff due to the loud but rounded sound it gives, but for me personally, the weight and thickness made it a bit uncomfortable for me.So I chose to stick with the 7A primarily but will still use and try get used to these 5A.ALSO BUYER BEWARE.Maybe I just got unlucky but when I got these sticks, I took off the cardboard square used to hold the sticks but once I put that cardboard down a SILVERFISH almost1 inch long darted out.I was absolutely disgusted because it was very big (1inch is about their max size) and it was lucky I caught it, else it might have gone into my box of comic books that was nearby. So, CHECK FOR BUGS FIRST before you just toss anything away. You don't want something like silverfish to eat away at any of your books and stuff. American Classics vs Novas (by Vic Firth) August 22, 2015 I'd been using Novas (Vic Firth's budget version or "seconds" of these) and needed some more sticks quick so I opted to get some of these next day shipping.I'm a heavy hitter & break sticks regularly - no matter what brand. That being said I did notice that the real deal (over the Nova version) had a little better longevity - I'd say about 25%. The American Classics tended to break "better" chipping out at first before fracturing, thus being playable longer. The Novas tend to just fracture and get tossed.Keep in mind some batches of sticks of the same brand are better/worse than others. I'm guessing this mainly has to do with variance in the supply of wood - every tree is different & trees from different areas (possibly even countries) will differ in grain, density, etc.The AC's were also better matched in pairs. Whereas the Nova's tend to have noticeable weight differences - doesn't really bother me - price considered. Conclusion: American Classics are better but cost about twice as much (Personally I'd rather buy some Vaters at that price) but I think the economical choice if you break a lot sticks is to go with Novas. If your not heavy handed & you're picky about your sticks balancing as a pair and don't mind the price, go with the Classics. Vic Firth American Classic 5A Drum Sticks June 14, 2010 These were good drumsticks. I used Vic Firth sticks for a long time, and they were always good. These particular sticks performed very well. They were 5A's, so they were lightweight, easy to grip, and were very easy to move around. When you play drums fast, it helps to have a stick that is not too heavy to use. These also had a lacquer coating, so they had a good grip. My only problem with these were that they had wooden tips. I learned that wooden tips seem to come apart and shred after a while, but only if you're hitting cymbals, not if you're just hitting drums. If you decide to buy these sticks, buy the kind with a nylon tip, they will last longer. | 17% Bought these as a gift. Drummer was thrilled with ... March 30, 2017 Bought these as a gift. Drummer was thrilled with the grips. Not overly grippy, just a thin coating that is just enough to stick to one's hands. Good sticks February 2, 2017 Good drum sticks. I haven't had any problems besides the maker label running off but that's to be expected with most drum sticks. too much friction. November 1, 2016 may too grippy. got some blisters after using these for a day, haven't used them since. Nice sticks but only good for electronic kits February 27, 2016 I really love how these sticks feel but since they are maple they can be pretty fragile. I broke cracked my first pair by just doing a very light rim shot on my alesis dm10 drum which does have a real drum hoop. So I would say these perhaps wouldn't last very long on an acoustic drumset especially cymbal hits. I like these drumsticks September 14, 2015 I like these drumsticks...son likes them as well. The only issue is how fast the black paint is scratching off them. Can't totally blame the sticks as I don't necessarily see how my son treats them but they are definitely rough looking in 5 weeks! | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 9% MIDI doesn't work, good sound though. March 22, 2016 I couldn't get the MIDI output to feed into my MacBook, so don't expect to use it for anything other than banging on. That being said, the sound is great, as is battery life. One other issue: bass drum pedal is WAY too responsive. Always have to record separately, the slightest change in pressure sets it off. Fun product March 22, 2016 The drum set is fun and great to practice and jam out with. It's small and compact so it does t take up a lot of room. I took the extended warranty with it and never received it, and nobody seems to be helping me. Not the place I ordered from or Amazon. My son loved his 2014 Christmas gift January 6, 2016 My son loved his 2014 Christmas gift. They sound just like a real set of drums!! amazingly!! BuT it doesn't seem to be made very well, he had about a good 6 month before a drum pad broke. And now a year later, about 3 are broken. Tried to reach out to the company to no avail. I was. Going to purchase his guitar through them 2015 and decided against it. Quality is very good from what I can tell not being a drummer January 21, 2015 Quality is very good from what I can tell not being a drummer. Is difficult to figure out how to use for the novice. Hasn't been used much so far since purchase. Unfortunately was not exactly what the 6yr old wanted. Though we tried to explain that Santa knew we did not have room for a full size drum set. just my opinion May 14, 2014 Product arrived fairly quickly...the pads have nice responce and the kit has plenty of setting adjustments...the only thing I dont like is the response of the pedals...if they were constructed like a regular electric drum kit it would be much better! I use this as a midi controller and it does serve the purpose well! Does It Work? March 17, 2014 Well.yes and no...The sounds are great, the pads are responsive, and it is convenient to use. What is less satisfactory are the pedals and their response, but since I am an experienced drummer, and also I live on a sailboat where a full kit might be kind of hard to fit in, I find it gives me what I need for practice. | 2% Three stars :( July 2, 2017 The quality is good, but it is really stiff. I don't know what kind material it made. It caused my wrist not feel good and sometimes felt sour second day after my drum practice. Look nice and well balanced but broke two pairs fairly quickly ... June 9, 2017 Look nice and well balanced but broke two pairs fairly quickly due to my playing style. Purchased a value pack separately which have held up much better. Great feel and balance but... April 15, 2017 I must admit I really enjoyed the sticks. They feel natural and well-balanced. They're smaller than the 5B and my grip tends to naturally lean toward the 5A.My downside is that they are pretty weak under moderate to heavy usage. You can buy a new set of sticks and within one practice session have them start cracking down the middle. Playing at church regularly, I've gone through three sticks in a weekend. It's not exactly like I'm beating the crap out of them but I am using them pretty bluntly in order for the dynamics to come across. The tips will regularly chip-off leaving you with one side shipt and in doing so the tip will have rough edges which could damage your drum heads. I don't notice anything better over the cheaper ones January 27, 2015 Decent, but expensive. I don't notice anything better over the cheaper ones. Not very rugged wood, but well balanced with good tone February 8, 2014 The tips keep coming apart in the wood grain. Once the tips are degraded, it doesn't sound the same. I had the same issue with the Jazz Classic sticks by Vic Firth--those broke in a day practicing jazz ride cymbal at a moderate volume. At least these lasted a week or two. I like the feel and balance of these 5A's but I can't spend so much replacing them when they don't hold up. I plan on trying Vaters next bc I've heard they're rugged. Or I might try a pair of Vic Firth with nylon tips. | 5% Looks good and feels good.....BUT March 8, 2017 Rubber grip material wears off too fast. Needs to be thicker. Leaves black marks on cymbals February 20, 2016 These look cool and handle just fine, but it will leave black marks on your cymbals. Weak February 12, 2013 These worked good for about 1 session before they broke. I wouldn't buy again. I didn't notice too much a difference. I bought this for my Daughter February 11, 2013 It was OK! But why put such a lousy paint job on something that will fade after use(especially on your hands). the sticks work well BUT (the paint) will peel out on your hand and mark your instruments.ALSO please note the sticks handle were made of wood! and the only part nylon were the tips OK!!!In the end I repainted the stick and re-clear coated it and no problem after that. Marks up your equipment March 15, 2012 These our great sticks; duable; feel great, however the black does come off and will mark up your cymbals and drum heads. You maybe better off buying the regular drumsticks and then taping them yourself. Caused blisters December 15, 2009 I bought these sticks for a "metal" drummer. I thought they would be more comfortable to use than the traditionall all wood sticks, but after an evening of "banging" he ended up with a few blisters. Not sure why....perhaps he just wasn't used to the rubber grip or their "non-slip" character? I think maybe the rubber caused his fingers to be a little moister than usual ? Try them, but don't buy a bunch, just in case... | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 4% faulty drum kit June 27, 2016 I was a little disappointed with this kit it was OK for the first 2 day's and after 2 day there was no sound and when you tap the base pedals for 1 beat you end up receiving more than 1 beat, my grandson was very disappointed this item was faulty, Decent enough for practice August 14, 2015 This basically suits my needs, and allows me to work on my muscle memory in silence. However, it has quite a few flaws, and I don't think it deserves the near 5-star rating it has. Problems include:-The hihat, being in the middle, makes it impossible to practice two-handed hihat beats and other techniques.-The pedals suck. They are replaceable with Rockband pedals (using a 1/4-3.5 adapter), but they honestly aren't much better. I'm not aware of any alternatives that feel like an actual bass pedal.-With real drums being bigger and further apart, you'll get confused when switching to real drums, and will have to get used to them.I bought this knowing the above though. Flaws I was not aware of:-Occasionally, a hit will not register. This happens fairly often, especially on the snare, and is by far my biggest complaint. It can throw you off pretty bad when you don't hear the snare.-When opening the hihat and hitting it, you must time it PERFECTLY. If you hit the hihat a millisecond before opening it, it will register as hitting a closed hihat. This wouldn't be a problem with a real hihat.-Bass pedal sometimes stops working. I'm not using the stock pedal however, and messing with the connection fixes it.-Built in metronome is annoying, and only counts in 4. Not much of a problem since I have my own metronome.-Instructions weren't too helpful in figuring out the settings, but did include a complete list of kits, songs, and voices.-I have no idea what the hand perc button is supposed to do, but I should point out that these work awful as hand drums. As a pro you may not have been aware of, this thing's built-in sound bank is pretty big, as well as its song bank. And of course, you can make it sound like anything as a MIDI controller. I have yet to test that feature, as a USB cable was not included. In short, it's an adequate practice tool, but is nowhere near reliable enough (or realistic sounding enough) to use live. I wouldn't recommend for any serious recording either.Edit: After just 3 months, the crash pad gave out. Either mine is defective, or the pads do not last. Rather than buy this again, I'm going to invest in an actual kit. My son received this for Christmas and less than 6 ... May 29, 2015 My son received this for Christmas and less than 6 months later it is broken. The sound for the pads are messed up. It makes it difficult to practice, because you hit the right pad but the wrong sound comes out, makes the beat sound off. It is unfortunate because it is a manageable size and price. Spend a little more for a complete set January 8, 2015 Returned in favor of a full kit (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002C4SM5W) The foot pedals were too dainty, would move around and fire more than once when triggered. The pads had the opposite problem. not a very good product. I returned mine July 11, 2014 As others have posted, not a very good product. I returned mine. Issues: Foot pedals not reliable. Often get 2 beats when you only triggered 1. Prob. OK as a toy but not for the serious musician who wants something to perform or record with. Frustrating. Close, but not good enough April 5, 2014 I bought this for song writing. I didn't need anything amazing, just something to lay down some quick beats for rough recordings of song ideas. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to that task. The main problem: one out of every ten times I hit a pad, it doesn't play anything. You have to hit the pad in the exact center if you want it to be reliable, and even then, sometimes it doesn't play. And you have to hit the pads way too hard. I play lightly, and was figuring with an electronic kit I wouldn't need to hit hard at all. You can adjust the "gain" (sensitivity), but even turned all the way up, the only way to avoid dropped beats and get consistent volume is to beat the crap out of it. This just teaches bad habits and bad technique, and prevents the drumkit from being a good learning tool for aspiring drummers. The pedals scoot all over the place, so you'll have to find a way to stick them to the floor. I was able to connect the kick pedal from my Rock Band game, which was a little better. If it worked reliably, this thing would be pretty impressive. The build quality seems good, and the samples sound great if you connect it to good speakers. The built-in speaker, however, sounds pretty bad. It has music tracks and a metronome to jam along with. I like everything about it except the fact that it doesn't respond to my playing. I also found it much more difficult to play than a regular drum kit. I expected it might take some getting used to, but no matter how much I try, I can't get into it.Hopefully they redesign this to be more responsive, then we might have a really great product on our hands. | 2% Disappointing Quality January 31, 2017 Purchased these exact same drumsticks in January. This newly purchased pair was used tonight and one stick broke immediately. The weight seemed off. These 2 pairs of sticks were 3 oz less than the pair bought in January. If you are a drummer you know this is significant. The wood looked different and the feel was different. The pairs bought in January still have not broken. But this pair broke after one song. Disappointing. Weights shouldn't change...Vic Firth needs to work on quality control. Disappointing. Fantastic playing stick. Fragile tip. April 14, 2016 Best balanced, and most versatile stick ever made. Unfortunately the tip will snap off on the ride cymbal if you're a medium to heavy hitter. I wish Vic Firth would fix this Achilles heel because the sticks are too pricey to have to wonder if the tips will make it through a song. ANIMAL!!!! Not really.. September 24, 2015 These are probably ok for someone who is a talented established drummer. These are not great for me. If you tend to go all Muppet Show on your set, I might recommend Shira Kashi Oak…less likely to split and fall apart. They seem like a knock off to me March 14, 2015 They seem like a knock off to me. All of the Vic Firth 5A sticks I've bought in stores were way more solid than these. I could immediately feel the differance. The taper at the end is slightly different too. I just wonder if they changed the design or if these aren't the real deal. | 3% big problems are how easy they break and after the fist time you play ... October 17, 2016 they eel alright. big problems are how easy they break and after the fist time you play with em, your cymbals are covered in black paint from the drum sticks very bad ticks Didn't feel sturdy, tip fell off mid-drumming. September 2, 2016 So, I recieved these yesterday, ordered 2 pairs. Today I started playing, casually, as I would on any other day and the tip of the drumstick broke. I was playing a little bit hard, but the fact that it broke just after 1 day disappointed me bad. It's not even half the drumstick or something like that, the tip just fell off. I loved the grips August 14, 2016 Wood is too soft. Should've looked before buying. Broke after 3 practices. I loved the grips, but the wood was just too weak. Do NOT buy June 8, 2016 These drum sticks broke on the 1st drum session second pair of zildjian drumsticks I would not buy again bad experience with that brand. Didn't last a week March 17, 2014 These sticks split then broke within a few days of playing with them. First bad experience with Zildjian sticks. Hope it was a defect and would love if I could get a replacement pair. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 4% Was only used about a dozen times before it died! February 18, 2017 This was a Christmas gift for our 9 year old. He loved it and really enjoyed playing it....... until today, just a month and a half after he got it. The drum unit no longer works! He thought the batteries were dead, but it still wouldn't work when plugged in. Turns out he board is fried! So disappointed that this turned out to be such a crappy product, especially after all the searching we did to find the perfect alternative to a real drum set. I wish I could give it zero stars, but I had to give it one to write this review. It was good when it worked, but you can't play an electronic drum set when the electronic part is junk. It was a shame when my poor son couldn't used it January 5, 2017 I received the product and I didn't check it. I gifted to my son for Christmas and it didn't work ! the plaqquette was broken. It was my fault i didn't controlled when i receive . It was a shame when my poor son couldn't used it.Im in argentina and i cant change after 3 months. Nice digital drum but it comes broken. 1. pedals are awful. It triggers twice if ... June 1, 2016 1. pedals are awful. It triggers twice if you don't give a proper pressure on it. It doesn't feel consistent.2. it does not work with regular kick trigger from roland or electrical drums.3. returning it. So here it is - this product and company sucks. Avoid at all cost December 20, 2015 ERR shown first time plugged in. The ONLY way to register product to get any service is to write a review. So here it is - this product and company sucks. Avoid at all cost. TERRIBLE PIECE OF.......EQUIPMENT May 7, 2014 Least sensitive drum pad imaginable. That seems to be the most important feature in a drum pad. Returned it. I bought it because it was so well reviewed. I have no idea how anyone could have gotten any enjoyment/function out of this thing. | 1% Broke in 1 week June 27, 2016 We only had this 1 week and one of the sticks shattered. ??? !!!!! Hmmm did they change how they made them based on all the good reviews I wonder why/how this happened. ? | 4% i hate it, they put black stick marks all over ... March 12, 2016 i hate it, they put black stick marks all over my drums and they are too heavy too be 5Bthey are hickory but "ziljian says" "NYLON" not nylon Not as Described December 25, 2015 These are Nylon TIPPED sticks, not Nylon sticks - please change your description. not what i thought February 5, 2014 These sticks broke fairly easy and leaves black marks all over your cymbals. Probably won't be buying these again ever Vibrations overload September 5, 2012 I figured I would give a set of these a go, since I have been using the black tipped sticks for quit a while and besides delaminating over time, I have had good luck with them. So I took these to last nights gig having never tried them until the first song. Glad it was just a run through! I have never had such serious vibration in a stick before. They went back in the bag and I finished the night with my old black ones. I have a pair of purple dipped sticks that have not yet arrived, hoping they won't be as bad. The only reason I did not chuck these in the trash is to give my son a shot at them. I won't use them again. Huge disappointment. January 3, 2011 I ordered these as a stocking stuffer for my son, who has been playing the drums in a band for 5 years. They are very cool looking, but one of them broke after 5 minutes of play. I expected a LOT more of Zildjian. I feel like I threw away money and my son was very disappointed. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
