Very Satisfied!!!!!!!!!!
December 4, 2015
Purchased this unit for two reasons:
One: to jump start my son's 00 Ford Explorer after having to wait 45 minutes for a family member to give us a jump in the cold. I figured I would buy it for him to keep in his truck just in case.
Second reason: I needed power for an xmas light parade I was setting up a vendor tent for approximately 2-3 hours I needed lighting with xmas lights.
This was purchased and delivered a week before the event, I was a little worried I had no way to check if it worked until I received a call from a friend who needed a jump (thank goodness) I jumped at the opportunity to help. Just in case, I brought jumper cables along with my Jump-n-Carry. It was myself, my daughter in law and my friend (3 women) pulled out the Jump-n-Carry hooked it up, we were a little confused because there was no "on or off" switch and told her to try starting it. To our surprise it started, so easy just connect and start. I love it!!!! My friend asked for one for xmas :) Now I am hoping it will work as well as it did for my xmas lights (2-3 hours). I will not no know until tomorrow 12/5/15 keeping my fingers crossed. I will update my review and let you know.

Attach and go!
November 24, 2015
This has come in handy many times. Not only is this more convenient than trying to park another car within reach of the jumper cables to your dead vehicle, but this juices up your vehicle instantly. It stays plugged in at my house to keep it fully charged, so the only downside is that I may have to go home to get it. The air compressor is a nice addition, although I can't review it because I haven't used it. I've had this for a couple of years and it's still on the original internal battery, but I do have the coupon for a free replacement battery whenever it does stop working.
Perfect. Just what I needed
June 28, 2015
My 11 year old 6 cylinder Ford Taurus only gets used occasionally and the battery usually doesn't have enough power to start it if it has sat for more than five days. I ordered this jump starter so that I don't have to deal with constantly putting it on a trickle charger. It arrived much faster than I expected. I left the jump starter on charge overnight and the next day I needed it when my car would not start after several seconds of cranking. I connected the cables directly to the battery and when I turned the key it was like I had a brand new car with a new battery. The engine turned over much faster than it did with just the battery and the car started almost immediately. The Jump-N-Carry had no problem giving the starter the extra power it needed to turn over the 6 cylinder engine. The battery was not dead, just so week that it made a clicking sound when the key was turned, so I don't know how it would do with a completely dead battery but I am sure I will find out this winter in New England. I am completely satisfied with this product and recommend it.
Nothing out there works any better!

Bought my first one just like this one in 2004 and just this year 2015 had to replace the internal battery! The first one has worked flawlessly all these years around the house, on the farm, and helping many stranded folks along the road with jumping dead batteries or pumping up flat tires that I bought another one to just carry in my wifes car. If you follow the directions on charging and recharging this unit, it works! In fact this new unit has a built in circuit so that you can leave it plugged into the A/C outlet in your garage/barn all the time if you want to and it wont over charge! Also includes a 12 VD/C cable that you can connect it to your cars cigarette lighter plug and recharge it in your own vehicle while its running if you need to! Nice improvement over my original one! The air pump has no problems pumping up a totally flat tire thats still on the truck quickly! Have to let it cool down after about 10min of contentious use if you have several tires to inflate. Honestly I've used the pump many more times for flats than jumping dead vehicles. The cable's are nice and long so if your by yourself you can sit the unit safely on a fender well and still get into your vehicle and start it and not worry if its going to fall into the running motor! Sure is and has been a great investment for our family and alot cheaper than paying for the auto club all these years!
Jump-N-Carry
January 31, 2013
The "Carry" part of Jump-N-Carry is slightly misleading because this beast is heavy! I am a big guy standing 6'4" at 240 pounds and carrying this thing around is a workout. I leave it in my car's trunk and I have used this so many times since December 2009 when I bought it that I have lost count.

I originally purchased this for emergency use in case my battery dies or a tire goes flat. For that purpose, I have used it many times, both to jump-start my car when the battery died and to fill my car and motorcycle tires with air when they start to get low. Just having it available for these tasks makes it completely worth what I had paid for it. However, by far the most number of times I have used this is to help a stranger in need.

Whenever I drive by and see someone staring dumbly at their car with the hood up, I stop and ask if they need any help. More often than not, they just need a jump-start. Out comes my Jump-N-Carry and within just a few seconds, their vehicle is running again. It is as simple as placing it near their vehicle, putting the red cable on their positive connector, black cable on their negative connector and telling them to start the vehicle. Every time, the vehicle had started instantly--no hesitation. I once had to use the jump-starter three times in a single day without needing to charge it. I am very impressed with its performance.

There are smaller and lighter ones out there, but if you need something you can depend on, this beast of a jump-starter will not disappoint you.

Plastic But Works Great!
May 17, 2016
Great little tire gauge. Comes with batteries and is ready to go right out of the package. It feels kind of plasticky, like if it dropped from a high enough distance it would definitely crack or shatter, but it does what it says it does! The back-lit display is really useful, and there is a ring that lights up where you insert the tire stem, which was SUPER helpful when trying to find the stem in pitch black conditions. Also, it will output the pressure in BAR measurement as well as PSI. Apart from the cheap plastic feel, this is great to keep in your car or garage. I have to buy two more. One for the garage and one for the fiance's car.
didnt need, but glad i bought. wouldnt change a thing
August 24, 2015
i havent had mine long or used it a lot but i cant think how anyone could say anything bad about it.its easy to use, i love the lights, seems accurate and reliable.i only have 1 other tire gauge and it came with a $75 tire deflater kit so i assume its better than your average tire gauge and this digital gauge reads the exact same as the other gauge i have. much faster, and easier might i addyou might not think much of the lights, but i went to go to work and had a flat and needed to air up my tire before i left. i work nights and so the lights on the gauge were a lifesaver. i was in a hurry and didnt have time to find a flashlight or pull out my phone and use the flashlight(plus that requires another hand)
I'd recommend the TEKTON 5941 to you!!
June 16, 2015
This Tekton 5941 Digital Tire Gauge is a good, sleek, handy tool. I keep mine in the center console because it's easy to grab and doesn't take much space. It has a lighted led dial which comes in handy especially in low-light levels. The way it fits my hand is comfortable and it's easy to use. Best to pay attention because there are three (3) scale levels with PSI being one of them. I always make sure I am in this mode whenever I check my tire pressure. I prefer this kind over the shiny chrome looking pencil type because the led lighting is easier for me to read verses trying to read the tiny notches on the other one. It also fits much better in my hand making it easy to grip as compared to the "old-style" just mentioned. Last but not least, the price is fair!!
Excellent!
June 24, 2014
Pro's:i. LED illuminates tyre area and reading.ii. Readings are given in PSI: 0-100, Bar: 0-7, KPA: 0-700, Kgf/cm2: 0-7iii. Readings are displayed for about 10 seconds for reference. The reading re-calibrates as soon as the device is applied to the next tyre, so no lag time between readings.iv. The unit has an auto-off function after a couple of minutes, saving battery life.v. The measurement type, e.g. PSI in my case, stays set even after auto-off, so it doesn't need re-setting when powering up for the next job.vi. Excellent price and battery life.vii. Very accurate readings, as far as my own tests have concluded, and more accurate than a gas station air-line.viii. Very ergonomic, so easy to hold, easy to apply to the tyre, compared with some others I've had.ix. From what I've read here, very responsive and helpful customer service if there is ever a problem.Con's:i. Can not be used as a teleportation device or communicator.
Great gauge, very accurate.
February 5, 2014
I'm one of those that check tire pressure once a week so having a good tire gauge is imperative. For the past year I have used several different digital and mechanical gauges. I had issues with all of them. Few of the mechanical one's did not work well in extreme cold weather, also hard to use with gloves on and too cold to use with bare hands. Few others had issues with sealing the valve so it would not read accurately. Some of the other digital brands did not seal the valve, or the battery would die quickly (like every week), or it was reading inaccurately. I've been researching for the past few weeks on Amazon and this was the only one with great praise so i decided to try it out. As soon as i got it i ran out and compared it to a mechanical one which I have been using with frustration and also a friend of mines gauge (Commercial grade digital gauge) and low and behold this one read accurately to 35 lbs, w/o issues and the mechanical one I had took me about a minute to get a correct seal to get a reading and then it read 3lbs too high, 5 lbs too low, etc. Compared to the commercial grade gauge. This gauge is simple to read, easy to get a seal w/o much pressure to the valve and comfortable to hold glove or not. So clean out your gauge drawer like i did and replace it with this one.
Best I've used so far
March 1, 2012
This is my 3rd digital tire gauge. I like it better than the others, which were the Accutire brand, because:- Non-slip texture makes it easy to hold onto- LED light makes it really easy to use in the dark- Easily forms a seal with the valve stem to get an accurate read on the first try (this was my main gripe with other gauges I've used)- Awesome price!I'm not sure what else one would need from a tire gauge, so this one gets an A+.**UPDATE** As of 6/18/2013, this thing is still working perfectly, even though I've dropped it a dozen times. Also still using the original battery. Others I've used seem to drain the battery, regardless of how often I use it. I'd mention the battery manufacturer, but I'd hate to be accused of working for Duracell--OOPS!**2nd UPDATE** As of 8/7/2014 it still works great, and, no joke, STILL using the original battery.

Wonderful battery for those wanting to be prepared for anything!
February 17, 2017
Bought as a lightning deal, the jumper works exactly as it should. The blue version includes a cover, which is basically useless, but adds SOME value nonetheless.

It started my car, beyond that I can't tell you anything in depth.

One downside is that the cords are very precise in their length, if you don't wind them tightly back up then you cannot bite the metal jaw holders.
so far so good.. ready to TEST out soon!
November 16, 2016
well I got this for my husband & his unpredicable car (some electrical issue can drain the battery so he MUST be ready if all alone with no jump available).

Maybe unfair to judge it yet (not used, just charged) but it's more convenient than other options (smaller yet appears to have same power or better). so I suppose only time will tell (it's a CHGO winter so bet that time is soon).

I will update when he goes to use HOW well it started car & all the rest.
Believe me, that is certain (to report back to you others, I always read reviews & gotta know what's working out there!).

I have high hopes & so far so good (customer service, deliver & it's now READY to go).
I'm sure I will have more to say very shortly. Keep your finger's crossed for us (and THIS company. If it does NOT start his car & I have to hunt him down in the DEAD of winter from somewhere I need to be, elsewhere, THEN my review will be altered & FAR more comprehensive. For now, they absolutely deserve benefit of the doubt it's as good as everyone writes)!!
Great unit. Holds charge. Light weight. 4 and 6 cyl start.
July 27, 2016
Effectively 6 months later and I can say I am very happy with this purchase. I have jumped a Subaru Impreza 4Cyl, Outback 6Cyl and a Dodge 6Cyl without issue. Its very light weight and small. Light still continues to work and stay put. Additionally, and most important, it remains charged. I have a calendar event set every 3 months telling me to charge all batteries. So far this has never been below the full bar and also been able to start a 4Cyl before charging on my calendar event. Great battery especially for the price. Those that want a tire pump and such I strongly suggest you just buy them separately. I personally carry a cig to usb adapter, can of slime, and slime tire pump. All of these combined tend to weigh less than the single units and if any component goes bad Im not "hacking" together some odd ball monstrosity to try and save 10 bucks. I can also do multiple things at once this way vs being tied to one job at a time. Ever tried to use the light on the battery pack while you pump up a tire? Yah...
Nice Piece!
December 16, 2013
I have to admit, I was very skeptical...A 900 Amp jump pack for less than $60.00...
So I ordered two, 1 for me and 1 for my dad as a Christmas present. They showed up two days later so I opened mine up and plugged it in to charge. I was surprised how small the unit was, no bigger than a loaf of bread and not much heavier, the quality seemed decent though. This morning (two days after plugging it in to charge) I decided that I might as well keep it in my truck with the hopes that I would get a chance to try it out. Well, one of our customers pulled up to get loaded with salt and after the fact, his Ford F-250 diesel wouldn't start (wouldn't even turn over) this is a big truck, two batteries and it's cold out today (upper 20's.) We hooked it up to one of the guys' ford explorer, no luck, wouldn't crank. I then remembered that I had the Clore in my truck, I went to get it, the whole time thinking "no way it's gonna have enough juice", I hooked it up, he let the glow plugs heat and I'll be darned if it didn't crank over and fire right up! I am thoroughly impressed with this unit, although I am curious to see how it holds up in the future...
NOT RETURNABLE - NOT RETURNABLE
January 31, 2013
A Christmas gift (wonderful Gift as I often leave a door ajar and flatten batteries) The unit had 3 green lights saying Good charge. But nothing at the clamps. Called the manufacturer and yes it is defective, and I COULD PAY TO SHIP THE HEAVY UNIT TO THEM for a exchange.
As posted in the description there is no Amazon warranty with this purchase.
That said AMAZON did step in after I figured out how to reach a real person, and after I explained that the manufacture was making us pay to return it...
Amazon did send us a new one at no charge. They cannot accept the 1st unit as it has a chemical battery- this is also why they put "We do not accept returns of this item")
Amazon is great... I originally gave this a one star. But Amazon was honorable, and the new unit is powerful.

Easy and accurate, no air release tip
September 20, 2017
Great little gauge, I tested it against my mechanical gauges: one with a dial, and two with the stick that gets forced out the end. This Tekton digital was easily the most consistent and accurate. I even tried holding it at different angles and as long as you get some air out, the gauge was displaying the correct psi. It measures in 4 different units, but psi is all I'm interested in. I only gave it 4 stars because of the minor cons noted below. I would still highly recommend this gauge.pros:Very accurate and it reads to the 1/2 pound in psi modeEasy to use, can't screw it up by holding it wrongLight on display and light on the nozzle, can see it even in the dark corner of your garageshuts off on it's own, no need to worry about conserving battery powercon:No air release tip (one of the sellers said you could hold the gauge on at an angle as if you were taking a reading and this would allow air out. I could not get this to work very well except for tiny little blips of air. It shouldn't be an issue for them to just put a plastic tip on one end.) This is a must-have for a tire pressure gauge which is why I could only give it 4 stars.
Great gauge - Suggest reviewing closely if for a motorcycle.
December 24, 2016
I bought this for my motorcycle, FJR1300, with stock 3 spoke wheels. This gauge is too large for easy rear tire access and with additional restricted access of two rotors on the front wheel, just not something I'll use. It's a great gauge otherwise and I put it in my car.I noticed a few reviews noting it was great for motorcycles. Maybe some motorcycles, but if you already have a tight opening, I'd suggest a smaller and/or thinner gauge.
Love the Digital Readout and low pressure readings.
June 25, 2016
This works really well, I was sick of trying to read the small numbers on the traditional stick type pressure gauge, so it is nice to have a digital readout. I also like how I can use it for low pressure and higher pressure tires (ie, my quad tires have 3-5 lbs vs truck tires at 35lbs.) My only complaint is when I go from one tire to the next quickly, I'm not sure if I am looking at the old reading or the new reading. I wish there was a quick reset button but all the button does is switch between functions. So I usually switch to off between each tire read or have to wait for it to disappear. Maybe its operator error on my part.
100 psi works well and does light up nicely to see the reading
June 9, 2016
This TEKTON 5941 Digital Tire Gauge, 100 psi works well and does light up nicely to see the reading. The size of the display is small but readable. It appears to be slightly off in the accuracy of reading the psi; but not enough that would affect a normal passenger or truck tire pressure. For the price, it is a nice gauge to have stored in a car especially if you are attempting to check the pressure when it's dark. I would purchase the TEKTON 5941 Tire Gauge again, but I would still also have a larger dial gauge in my garage as my main tool of choice.
Works as advertised.
May 11, 2016
This tire gauge works, like many others. The gauge is mostly plastic with a matt feel. It doesn't feel like it's very high quality, but not like it's going to fall apart in my hand. The positioning of the activation button is okay, like a trigger, but can be slightly awkward if I'm twisting my hand to fit the gauge up against the air tube. The LCD is bright and has enough contrast to display during full sunlight.I would give it five stars if the material didn't feel so cheap. You get what you pay for, once in a while.
Year later and still didn't die...
February 21, 2015
Year ago I've purchased this, so I will have one nearby in my vehicle. Well, it didn't get to the vehicle right away, so it got stuck somewhere. Today I dug it, after my dealership decided to put 39psi into my tires and was telling me, that TPMS sensors lie. So I've checked this one. Well, first time I pushed the button it started blinking. Blinking and nothing else. Let it stand for awhile, and pressed button again. It started to work as expected. Reading of pressure was same as TPMS sensors. So either they both lie exactly same (hardly), or both of them show correct information. In any case, year later and I still can use it. Will give it four starts, because of unexplained blinking without any explanation on the box what that's mean.

Works FANTASTICALLY...too bad it didn't last!
July 30, 2016
Works quickly and flawlessly. Does not make a ton of noise. Cumbersome to keep in trunk, but worth it nonetheless. I loved that the gauge included was very accurate. When I had this unit, I stopped going to gas stations to fill my tires entirely, since it was so convenient to do it at home.

Why 3 stars? I kept the unit plugged in religiously, making sure to charge it once every 2 weeks or so. After a year and a half it quit on me and wouldn't hold enough juice to read over 70% full or give my battery enough jump to start when my alternator went. After that, I tossed it. Still, it paid for itself a few times with two flat tires and one dead battery--no towing, or sitting on the side of the road in serious trouble.
It's a decent charger and fits nicely into truck
June 18, 2016
It's a decent charger and fits nicely into truck. Only thing is I wish it had a better controls. Just the red button to push too see level. You really don't' know if it is ON or OFF. Also, the way the clamps attach sometimes is a pain to wrap and you sometimes have to pull hard to get them to original placement and I feel if I do that too many times, the cable will become loose from the clamp! It needed to be a a few inches longer.
JNC660
January 2, 2014
Nice compact design that seems very sturdy. Green light won't turn on after charging unless I unplug the charger and plug it right back in again. Seems odd but the battery does charge. Used it once at -30 degrees celcius and it worked great. Would be better with 2 people as difficult to find a place to put the unit in the engine bay without it falling off or sliding around. Instruction booklet says that you can keep the charger plugged in continuously without overcharging the battery but in another section of the manual it warns about overcharging. I think some editing/updating of the manual is required.
Compact and utilitarian. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars.
May 28, 2013
This would be an excellent product, except for a couple of issues. The compact size, and light weight make it a very desirable product for portable auxiliary power. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold a full charge long, it requires a 30 minute wait period before use after charging, and requires a 3 minute wait after cranking longer than 6 seconds. These "features" limit it's usefulness. It will start a 4-or-6-cylinder auto well, but is less effective on an 8-or-10 cylinder engine. I have a similar Allstart product (no longer available) that is heavier, and a little larger, but holds a charge for months and will start a GMC diesel pickup that requires two batteries. I purchased the Jump-N-Carry for use in an offroad vehicle with an 8-cylinder engine and an AGM battery, but will have to conduct further testing before I employ it for that purpose. A very good choice for emergency power in a 4- or 6-cylinder auto.
Unit has the plastic clamps I was specifically trying to avoid.
January 11, 2013
Likes: simple, no frills does what it is supposed to do

Dislikes: plastic clamps. I spent hours comparison shopping, and one of my criteria was a metal clamp construction. I had a schumacher unit previously, where the clamp disintegrated on my 3rd attempt to use it (gently and for the intended purpose). One of my requirements for emergency equipment is that it not leave you stranded. I decided that was the last time I'd buy a jump box that relied on a plastic hinge on the clamps -- but all of the local auto-parts shops only carry brands that have moved to the plastic clamps. At the time I purchased it, the product images on Amazon show metal clamps for this clore unit. But when the unit arrives, I find that clore has sold-out like all the other manufacturers, and the clamps look just like the ones on the unit that let me down. Since I don't see any other reviewers complaining about this problem, and since I already have this, I guess I will give the plastic clamps another try, but I'm not happy about it.

Great Features - Comes close to Accurate
June 25, 2017
I really like this digital tire gauge for its features especially the light. The reason for 3 stars is that the PSI is off 5-7 lbs. I checked it against 2 other devices: an older tire pressure device (not digital) I've had for years and at a tire shop (digital). For the price it's ok- useful just to check an estimate the PSI in your tires.
Could be better
May 3, 2017
OK, but could be much better. The good. Easy to read lighted guage. I tested it against my other gauges and all the readings were similar. The bad. NO bleed valve and not even a device on the unit to manually bleed the valve core stem. Put together with two screws that screw into plastic, not a brass bushing. Thus will not last a long time. Has four batteries, none of which most homeowners would have on hand and would likely cost more than the original tool.I would opt for a different gauge if I were to order a new one.
looks like it's used before and no instruction included
April 10, 2017
Received the product in a box, looks like it's used before and no instruction included. Checked online and it's all polyester packaging so don't know why mine is a box. Since I didn't get instruction, just didn't know if I used it correctly. The 4 settings seem to be very easy so it's still pretty user friendly and the number came out fast.
Beautiful tire gauge, minor issues.
October 4, 2016
I ordered this because i am a car geek and i really love tires, of course that involves having the right pressure on my cars. The product is fine, i use it in PSI but the issue i see in this is that PSI are measured in 0.5 ranges, i know that this should not be a dead o alive matter, but you should know it.The tip that goes into the valve is plastic, it really feels very cheap, so what i do is handle it with care to avoid possible damage, for the price is a nice gadget.
Solid performer, but some little tweaks are needed.
December 15, 2014
UPDATE: Well, Amazon says I bought this product a little over 3 years ago. Worked great all that time until recently when the display (and the lighted ring around the valve stem port) started a constant flashing when turned on. I turned it on and off only to have the flashing happen again. I left it for a little while and then saw that it reset itself and I could use it. However, a couple of days ago, it again went into flashing mode when turned on. This time, I couldn't turn it off. Would just come back flashing. I decided to leave it to see if it was going to reset. That was 2 days ago. Still flashing. I wondered if this meant the batteries are going out, but after two days, I thought it would die if that was the case. Opened her up and saw that it had one 2032 watch battery in there, and three LR44 "button" batteries. I didn't have any LR44's lying around, but I did have a 2032. Replaced it, and there was no difference. Still flashing. Took out an LR44 and put it back in. No fix. So now, it's either replace all the batteries to see if that would do it, or buy a new guage. I'm opting for the latter since a search of amazon shows I'll be paying about the same for new batteries as I will for a new guage. I think I'll go with the Accutire this time. I knocked down one star because of this, and because as stated in my original review, I think the reset time between pressure readings is too long.Original review as follows:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Been using this for several months now and it's a good gauge. However a couple of improvements are needed:First, there's too long of a delay before the reading zeros out. I've counted 10 seconds. It should be reprogrammed to be only 5. By the time I take a reading, and let air out of the tire if need be, I'm still waiting several seconds for the screen to reset to take my next reading (I know some of you might think, "What? You can't wait a few extra seconds?" Well, when you're in the swing of things and want to get the job done, the reset delay does slow down your pace. You'll know what I mean when you actually try it.). I've discovered a manual way to reset by pushing the trigger down to turn the device off, and then push it again right away to turn it back on. That's quicker than waiting for it to reset on its own, but a little inconvenient. Don't want to prematurely wear out the trigger by doing so either.Secondly, Tekton needs to put a little nipple on the bottom of the handle so you can just flip the gauge around and use it to depress the valve to let air out. Can't understand that design oversight. These two improvements would make this a 5-star device.
Gets the job done.....
October 28, 2013
This tire gauge gets the job done and seems to be pretty accurate, but it has a few annoying quirks to it that make using it kind of frustrating. The first quirk is that to use it you have to hit the trigger button, but if you accidently hit it again then you have to keep scrolling through different measurement types just to get back to the PSI setting. I found myself hitting the button as a reflex every time I wanted to use it again so I was constantly scrolling through the other useless measurement types. The second annoying thing is that it takes like 15 seconds to zero out after using. Here was a typical scenario for me:Tire has to much are in it:Check air pressure, its high....Let some air out..... gauge still waiting to zero out...... still waiting.... zeroed. Check tire pressure, still high.... let some more air out, wait....... still waiting.... zeroed. Check pressure. Accidently hit trigger button....scroll through measurements to get back to PSI.....still waiting to zero.....Repeat this for 4 tires....Bottom line is it will get the job done, but it was pretty frustrating to use.

Decent for lawnmowers
December 21, 2016
So I've had this for less than 6 months and it already doesn't seem to hold a charge. The indicator lights go to full charge but as soon as I disconnect it from the wall it drops to 2 lights. It also has yet to successfully jump either car I own. It did work on the riding lawn mower though which was it's initial need. The light is a decent feature but as for trickle charging or jumping a car, I am yet to see any success. I would go for something of higher quality than this
The negative clamp is too big to fit some cars because of the proximity of the negative battery post to the lip of the hood
November 27, 2015
Unfortunately, I have to give it a poor rating. I have needed it 3 times and not once did has it successfully jumped a low battery. Even when the unit is fully charged I have never had more than 3 bars light up, even when it was fairly new. Second, the clamps are too big to fit onto the negative battery posts on my 2010 Mazda3i and 2011 VW Jetta because the negative posts are RIGHT next to the engine compartment wall in both cars, almost under the lip of the engine compartment and there is no way the negative clamp will attach. Just not enough space there. I realize that isn't the fault of the Jump-N-Carry, but before you buy this unit check under your hood to see how close the negative battery post is to the engine compartment lip. Lastly, the directions say to attach the negative clamp to a metal part, but it won't deliver enough power unless the negative clamp is attached to the negative post of the battery. I discovered that after a tow truck had to come to jump my battery in another car. Clore needs to include that tidbit in their owner's manual.
Some serious issues to consider
March 11, 2015
This thing does a great job doing what it says but I have some issues with it.
1.First it does not come with a cord to plug it into a wall and charge it.(not that big of a deal)
2.The clamp cords are too short when using it. You have to lay the unit somewhere on the engine compartment due to lack of reach.
3. Its extremely frustrating trying to get the clamps neatly back on the charger when I'm done with it due to short cords and poor design. I feel like I might break the cords trying to stretch it back into place
4. There is no off switch. I bought this so I could keep it in my trunk, but with the exposed clamps that are always on, it would be very dangerous. I guess I'm going to have to make a custom box to put it in. I would have gladly paid extra money for a protective case or an off switch.
5. Its great that I don't have to worry about overcharging it on a wall socket, but if you use the 12 volt car charger that comes with it you can easily overcharge it. So my dreams of keeping this thing hooked up in my car are dead.
Needs another set of hands to work
February 11, 2014
I bought this because I have an electrical short in my car and was coming out to a dead battery more mornings than I care to think about. I maxed out my yearly AAA uses for jumps and was sick of connecting jumper cables to my boyfriend's jeep everyday. So I thought this was the solution. The concept is great and I love the light for when I'm working in the pitch black mornings. However, the plastic red and black coatings around the clamps make it impossible for the clamps to get a good grip onto the battery terminals and they fall right off. I always need to get another person to hold them in place which defeats the whole purpose. I tried cutting off the front plastic tip in hopes that I could get a better grip onto the terminals and it wasn't any better. I should have just sent it back from the beginning. On the plus side, if you need a jump and there's no cars around, it absolutely does work, as long as I have another set of hands to hold it in place.
Defective, poor power supply
February 10, 2014
I bought this mostly for use as a power supply when doing software updates on cars. I need the car to stay above 12.3v, this tool only does so for the first few minutes after it has been charged. It does a poor job of supplying 12v to a car for an extended period of time as well.

Secondly, the charge indicator on mine does not work so I never know if it is charged or over charging.

The way the cable wraps up isnt really that great because you have to have everything just slow to slide the clamp over the top as shown in the picture.

Not for me
December 2, 2016
Ehhh.. Display is real small and hard to see. I don't know if there is a way to change it but the default display is metric kilogram per something. Takes a couple button pushes to get it to PSI and the units area of the display is TINY. To much trouble for me. I'll never use it and I'm going back to the pop out stick gauge. There are better choices.
Not the best.....
November 19, 2016
I have this one and an Accutire, I feel the Accutire is superior, I always have problems getting this one "seated" on the valve perfectly and end up releasing a few pounds just to get a reading! Also, you have to turn it on first, the Accutire you just push it on the valve and it actuates automatically. The light is nice but not enough to make up for it's shortcomings......
Do not buy Tekton 5941
November 5, 2015
Gauge came and appeared to work. Problem is that you can't trust the numbers that come up. I used it to check tires on my travel trailer. The trailer had not moved in days so the tires were cold. It was difficult to get a good connection between the gauge and the valve stem. When the gauge does not connect properly you end up loosing air which changes the reading. I compared it to a non-digital gauge and the Tekton was all over the place. I them compared the results with a compressor and again the Tekton was right 1 out of 10. The non-digital gauge was right every time. If I had nothing else to use I would make do, but I do not recommend this item. Not reliable.
Worked well until the screen died.
July 18, 2015
I bought two and gave one away as a gift. Both of us love this little tool and it has been incredibly useful many times to us. If you buy, remember to just squeeze the trigger once. This turns it on and lights everything up. Any more then one squeeze will cycle through the different pressure units. I personally have no trouble with that but other reviewers have. Come christmas I am buying more for the whole family.Update: As of 8/31/15 the digital screen has started to flicker/doesnt work at all which makes it almost useless. I can't not read the screen as it is now. Gauge worked very well until this started. 4 months of once a week use should have made this last much longer then it has. Won't be buying more.
Very unaccurate-cannot recommend.
January 16, 2015
I bought this tire gauge with the hopes of being able to place it in my wife's auto and have her use it. However, the accuracy is so poor I wouldn't recommend it. I understand there's going to be differences between gauges of different types, brands, cost, etc., but in a comparison of six different gauges (some mine, others belonging to family and friends), this gauges repeatedly was the "flyer" in terms of accuracy. Example: on one tire measured at the same time, the other gauges offered values of 32, 34, 31, 32, and 35 psi. This gauge indicated the tire had 49 psi. Imagine what I would be doing to the tire if I lowered the pressure so that I obtained the recommended range of 30-35 psi; what would the actual air pressure be? My rating is not offered from one or two comparisons. I've made honest comparisons on different vehicles, different temperatures, etc. in the effort to find some measure of accuracy. I could not. On the positive side, I like the design, illumination, and feel of the gauge. I just wish it was accurate!
Worked for about 8 months
October 23, 2014
Bought it in January '14 because of all the good reviews (and the price was certainly right). Seemed to work perfectly for the first several months, but then I wasn't exactly using it daily or anything. Then in late August when I went to use it, I opened my drawer and saw the blue light was already on (half normal "on" brightness, though), and it wouldn't shut off (it's ordinarily turned off by auto-shutoff not by an "off" switch). Just tapping the red casing with my fingertip lightly made it reset (every black LCD piece fills in, like seeing all 8's on a calculator) & it would then kind of work, then tapping it again put it into (what appears to be) a sort of "loose wire" mode where you see no LCD characters on the screen.Replaced the battery and still no change in function. It'll work, kind of, but tapping it sideways (on the red part, not on the button) makes it not work (and the light never goes off). So using it now is a series of tapping it, then when done, tapping it again so it "works" and then GENTLY placing it on a shelf so nothing "taps" it again to send it into broken-mode again where the light never goes off.I wasn't rough with it or anything; it's a tire gauge so it (naturally) gets handled but not tossed around. Maybe if one was SUPER gentle with it, like it was a piece of crystal, then it would work indefinitely. Disappointing, since I liked it while it worked for about 6 months.

Defective right out of the box: Be careful what you buy
January 28, 2014
I've been looking to purchase a new Jump pack for use in the shop and narrowed my selection down to either the Clore JNC660 or the Shumacker ProSeries DSR PSJ-2212
The reviews were about equal on both so I decided to get the JNC660
Well, I just received the JNC660 today and it is defective right out of the box.
I plugged it in to charge and the amber led that is suppose to be lit does not indicate it is charging. The Green LED does not show it is fully charged either.

I verified my power cord has power from the outlet; even switched to another cord.

Disappointed; I guess companies no longer have QC on their products.

UPDATE: Feb 04, 2014
After realizing that Amazon will not accept returns on this item, I contacted Clore Automotive tech support and explained that I had received a defective jump pack. I reviewed with them the various items I had checked to confirm that it was indeed defective.
After they confirmed that I had purchased it via Amazon, they shipped a new JNC660 to me along with a prepaid UPS label to return to them the defective unit. I had the replacement unit in 5 days after contacting them. The replacement unit works great.

Clore Automotive gets 5 stars from me for making this disappointing defective unit right.
Not a good reliable option for the average user.
January 7, 2014
I used it once about 2 months after I purchased it, and it worked great. I recharged it, placed it back in my car, and when I needed it again about 3 months later to help a co-worker with a jump, it barely pulled off a jump. I tried to recharge it again, and as with many other reviewers it will not go above 1 led of charge. I was pretty sure the manual said it could go 3 months between top offs, but it is either defective, or you must top it off monthly to keep it alive. Not sure, but either way that is very high maintenance in my opinion. It might be a great product if you charge it monthly, but for me, 3 months killed it. I am counting it in the "waste of money" pile.

NEVER WORKED
August 20, 2017
Opened the box and it did not work. No pamphlet or anything in the box to offer solutions. Looks nice but don't waste your money. Very frustrating, would give zero stars if possible.

comes with batteries but once they die, you'll spend half the cost of the gauge to replace, not worth it. get one without batteries or one that takes AA or AAA

July 13, 2017
Does not operate as advertised. I need a gouge that reads low pressures and this does not. It is supposed to read from 0 to 100, I need a gauge that will read in the teens and this one does not. Sorry I bought it and now and I'm told I can't return it.
Do NOT Buy this
July 9, 2017
This item worked fine the day it arrived... I kept it in the glove box in my car for a few months and when I tried to use it, it wouldn't even turn on. What a piece of garbage. I literally used it once and then nothing. Do not buy this - it is akin to throwing your money away.

I didn't even get a chance to use this. It was D.O.A and all it does it flash blue and doesn't record psi at all for my tires -_-
No Reset Button Makes This a Loser
April 6, 2015
Unit will give a false reading unless fully pressed straight into valve. There is no button to reset gauge to zero. You must wait at least 10 seconds. There is only one button. Pressing it turns on unit. Pressing again changes units.
