I love the mophie cases, but after several years, my old one died and I had to buy a new one. This is an amazing deal and it looks brand new. The color it incredibly vibrant and beautiful and the case comes with the official mophie charging cord (which is important as many cords of the same size don't make a proper connection) and I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I highly recommend it.

Bought one, tried it and as a result bought a second one for my wife's phone. It can get us through the day now with fairly moderate to heavy usage where the original iPhone 4s battery would be looking to be charged half way through the day. We've had them well over two months and they keep taking a full charge and doing thier jobs well, recharging the iphone 4s to full capacity again from 20%. They're smart looking and add a bit of heft to the phone overall making it easy to hang onto and will fit in my phone holster easily which is a plus. They add just a bit of how thick the unit is - about 3/16th of an inch, and just a little over a quarter inch to the length is all.

This is my third Mophie for my iPhone 4S and I love em. Yes, I said third because I'm rough with my phones and the other packs protected my phone with plenty of accidental drops from waist high.Of course, with my luck they always seem to land on the bottom where the charging port is and that is where some pretty sensitive electronics are located.I've always been able to take my phone down to 10% and flip a switch on the pack to get a full charge back on the phone battery. Easily doubles the battery capabilities of my phone.

Saves being connected to a wall. Comes in handy since iphones or most phones now you cannot switch batteries.

It's great! I can't get over this case. It comes with the charger you need, and it charges the phone with no struggle. I've had charger cases from this company previously and they lasted so long! It protects your phone well from the back but a glass screen protecter will fully protect your phone, it's not too bulky, it looks pretty nice too. DEFINETELY recommend it!

The DX Plus is a awesome 2400mAh battery case for anyone looking for extra power. It comes in handy when you can't get to a wall outlet to charge your phone. The DX Plus battery case has enough juice when full to charge your iPhone one full charge and half of another when nearly dead.There is 4 blue LED's on the case which shows you current battery level of the case it self. You can see the battery level on the case by quickly pressing the button on the case. You can turn ON/OFF the case by holding the button on the case for 3 seconds.Keep in mind while the iPhone is in the DX Plus case. The iPhone will get charged first and then the battery case. But I don't see this a problem if you just plug it in when you go to bed.You can still sync your iPhone with iTunes even with the battery case on the phone. By using the including the mini USB cable OR any other mini USB cable you may have laying around.The DX Plus battery case will add 1/4 inch thickness to the iPhone and little weight to it as well. But I find this to be a good trade off for the extra battery power that the battery case offers. The case does not interfere with the quality of the sound the iPhone makes.In my honest opinion I don't see this case protecting your iPhone from a fall. I'm not going to drop my iPhone just to see if it protects it or not. But if you are looking for a way to have extra power when no outlet is near. This is a good iPhone case just for that reason.

so far it is great! I only have tried it once, for a limited charge, and it works just great! Since I wasn't sure how these cases worked myself, I will explain it here for others like me. I can plug in the charger by itself (standard android plug) or I can put my iphone 4s in,and plug into the charger (which shows me the battery charging lightning icon at the top) so it appears either way works. I took the top off and inserted the phone,not sure about other reviews, but it is on so tight that I had a time figuring out how to take it back off and remove my phone! (I did it) so no worries about a loose case. It makes my phone bulkier, but I don't mind that. When I did a test charge, I first left the case itself plugged in for a while,maybe 2 hours- then I put my phone in,left it on,and waited to see what would happen. It charged from 78% up to 99% within about 10-15 minutes. I like the lights on the bottom back of case which show case charge levels, and the on/off button for use. I intend to keep the case switched off till I need the extra boost while traveling. Barring any unforeseen problems in the future, the case feels solid, and works as described.

I have a uNu for my iphone 5s and bought this for my sister's 4. It is a bit large and heavy but I expected that from a 2400 size battery. Mine is great and love it and so far this one fits the same bill. She loves the two tone color on it as well. If you search through the sellers you can buy from uNu themselves to ensure you don't get a counterfeit copy. Item was delivered the very next day as well so was happy with that!Another note about the uNu cases that is if you break the top flimsy piece which you will at some point you can purchase another from their website very cheaply. Some may complain about this buy every two piece case i've gotten the top piece is just as flimsy so i'm glad you're able to replace it. I've dropped mine alot and it has held up GREAT and the phone has never been damaged.If this one turns out to be bad I'll post back! But so far it's great

I tend to use the WiFi, bluetooth, Music, GPS and gaming features of my phone quite a bit, and all of these features are battery hogs. I find myself often having to plug my phone into a car charger as I commute home just to make sure I have enough charge to complete my day’s end journey. On rare occasion, I’ve moved the car charger to another car or otherwise misplaced the lighting cable and haven’t been able to charge the phone, so I began researching high capacity battery extender style cases. I’ve shied away from these cases in the past as the good ones tend to be expensive and/or too bulky.Enter the uNu Power DX PLUS iPhone case. I love the look and feel of this case! It’s sleek, barely adds volume to your iPhone, and looks, to me, like it could’ve been designed by the folks at Apple. I have the Black with Silver trim case, which has a soft-touch, rubberized, non-slip feel to it. The Power DX case consists of two parts - a rubberized bumper that you slip around your phone, and the battery itself, which you connect your phone to through the battery’s 30-pin connector. You then snap the bumper edges around the battery and this configuration holds your phone very securely to the battery. The whole process of installing the case takes maybe 10-15 seconds at most. Once installed, the whole setup looks seamless.The Power DX also comes with an headphone jack extender cable, which, given the svelte dimensions of the case, provides a conduit through the bottom of the case to your headphone jack. The extender cable does, however, come in handy for plugging other devices into my headphone jack that don’t fit through the bottom of the case.When I received the Power DX case I did not install it on my phone. Instead, I fully charged it overnight as instructed in the user manual, even though it seemed to be fully charged out of the box. Charge the phone and case using the plug into your existing iPhone wall plug using the USB to MicroUSB cable included with the case.When you need to charge your iPhone battery, you simply press and hold the little button on the back of the case for about 2 seconds, which turns on the battery and commences the charging process. I don't understand why products like this don't get more press. This is something I desperately needed, and I didn't even know it existed. Since the iOS7 update, my iPhone 4's battery life just disappeared. It actually put me in a dangerous situation. I was visiting San Francisco and went to the Opera. Following the performance I thought there would be a line of taxis. There were none. I walked to the nearest busy street Van Ness and there were no cabs there either. And, of course my iPhone battery had run out. I couldn't make a call, and there were some unsavory types around. Finally an unmarked car said he would take me where I needed to go. I felt very much as risk, but was feeling more scared of staying where I was.So thanks uNu! I wish you could somehow get headlines.This product not only gives me more than enough power for a full day's outing, but also it makes the iPhone 4 easier to hold. I'm a guy and have big hands. The iPhone itself is too thin and has sharp edges. It's very easy to drop.

I had previously bought 2 mophie battery cases; returned both in less than a week each because they didn't work... Bought this brand due to a friend having bought himself then his wife the battery cases and after having them awhile still loved them. So I reluctantly gave it a try... Had it for almost 2 weeks without any issues and works GREAT! Absolutely recommend this brand, and the seller shipped promptly, never needed to contact them for anything so I can't rate customer service. Overall, very satisfied

It does it's job. The case is really good at protecting the phone and the back of the case feels good in the hand. After 2-3 weeks, the battery doesn't really hold the same amount of charge as it did the first few times, but that's to be expected with all batteries. It will still provide you with at least 50%-60% of battery though, so all in all this is a good purchase. Mophie is a respectable company that I wouldn't mind purchasing from again.

I bought two of these and a part of the case got broken after a month. I contact the seller and they were very nice and I got the replacement right away. The communication was super good. I also bought one for my brother, and his did not have any problem. It's nice to have a great customer service.

It wasn't what I wasn't expecting I figured itd add wait and bulk but even with all the extra bulk the battery extension was lacking most of the time it only got my battery up to 80% when some cases would nearly charge my phone twice on a single charge

Product came 4 days late. Works well however the charging connection seems too loose and falls out a lot.

Well worth the cost! The only thing is it will break if it's dropped 3-4 times. The side pieces detach almost all the way and the frame will crack.

Great price for the reliability and feeling of ease knowing your phone stays charged. It does add a little bit of bulk to your phone but I think that should be expected with both a case and a battery. The case part itself Is for the most part nice but the top part does feel a little bit flimsy but it has not cracked or broken. It definitely works as battery charger and will keep your phone charged all day, even when web surfing, sending or receiving emails as well as running apps. I can go an entire day doing all of these things without being tied to a wall charger. From zero to a hundred it takes about an hour and a half. It is very convenient knowing you'll be stuck with a dead phone when you might need it the most! Overall, I feel like this was a great purchase and I'm glad that I read so many reviews and decided on this one. My wife uses her iphone as a wireless hotspot, and this allows her all the time she needs without worrying about a low battery. The only drawback is the directions. They are ambiguous at best. Even the manufacturer's website did not help. However, it turns out to be pretty intuitive, and you can save the built in battery to "recharge" the phone battery or just leave it on. In any case, both batteries (the external and iphone battery) will recharge when the phone is in the case and plugged into a usb power supply.

As a battery pack, this is hard to beat. I've had mine for about a year now and it is still going strong. However, the case has cracked in a couple places requiring some inventive repairs. Worth it to have a battery last all day with heavy use. This case is also HEAVY - be prepared for your slim phone to be a chunk-o now. Again, the convenience and power of the battery lets me overlook this issue. Basically, if you care way more about battery life than anything else - as I do - then this case is a big box of awesome.

I will do my best to compare this to the Mophie Juice Plus Case (which just died on me).Pros: Price - 50-60% less expensive 2400mAh battery vs 2000 (not sure if there is a real-world difference yet)Cons: Not as Rugged as the Mophie Slightly bulkier - not really bigger (same width and height) , Mophie just has nice curves that reduce the overall feelMy Mophie's micro USB port seems to have failed (seems to be most common issue). But it has had occasional drops to concrete so any device could have an issue. Lasted me about 18 months. I will update on actual battery life and durability after some use.So far, I cautiously recommend this product until proven otherwise. For me, it is worth trying for the price.

I really like the added reserve power. My sons play ball and I often text my wife updates constantly during games. Before, any more than 1 game and I would have to conserve the battery. With the extra battery, I can easily get 3 games worth on constant texting. Under normal use, I can easily go 2 days without recharging where sometimes I would not make it through 1 day. I would say it gives me a little bit better than 2X the battery life of the phone alone. My only complaint is that the plastic is hard and expect that one day I will drop it and it will snap. Also, it takes approx. twice as long to charge. I charge overnight so that is no big deal. Also, the wire is only about 2' long and cheap. I ordered a longer, more heavy-duty wire that also seems to charge the battery a little faster.

The first one of these I purchased lasted me a year before the battery wore out and the upper part of the case cracked. For that year it was a wonder, lasting longer than the (iPhone 4s) battery and taking great abuse from me both in terms of heavy use and being dropped several times. I would much rather that the case and case battery take the abuse than the phone itself and while it's unfortunate that it only lasted a year, I still found this to be worth it and will be pleased if this new one lasts me another year of abuse.Many other battery cases have weak batteries that only run the phone for a fraction of the time that the phone's internal battery lasts making the increased bulk and other drawbacks hardly worth the small increase in battery life. I travel for work and spend a lot of time on airplanes and in hotel rooms. With this case I can heavily use my phone all day and at the end of the day the iPhone battery is still at 100%. At the end of an exceptionally long tough day (think non-stop use of maps) I will be just starting to use the iPhone battery when I plug in for the night.The case does decrease speakerphone volume and microphone reception by perhaps 20% and the camera flash reflects off the case, causing a white mist in photos where the flash is used. The power port is different than the iPhone's so your iPhone cable will not plug into this case, however it does come with it's own cable, and more importantly, it's the same port used by kindle and most android phones making power cables cheap and easy to find. I just use my kindle cable since I have that with me whenever I travel anyway.One neat trick when the phone and case are out of charge is to remove the phone from the case and plug both into power outlets at the same time, making for a faster charge.Other cases I have found are painful to keep against my ear as they form a hard lip around the phone's front face. This one is almost flush with the front of the phone making it far more comfortable to the ear. Another benefit of this case over others is the physical shape. The back of the case on many others is curved making the phone unstable when resting on a table, this one is mostly flat and so does not wobble when resting on my desk.The great reason for buying this is that a power user can go through the day and never have to worry about running out of battery, and never have to find a power outlet to plug into. It gives you the battery life that the phone should have come with in the first place, after all, isn't the whole idea of a mobile phone that its wireless? This more than makes up for the drawbacks and additional cost.

It only lasted about 4 months before the charging port got too lose to charge it up anymore. I guess you can't expect much more for the price of a refurbished model, but I am now leery of buying another Mophie product for the same reasons. The port was also in a strange place on the phone which made it awkward to charge.

This supposedly provides enough extra battery for several charges. It seems to double my battery life, but that's about it.

So far so good... its nice case, a bit heavy and the adaptor is not the same as the iphone and is too short., but the model is nice and the battery works fine and last a lot....

Very hard to connect cable. Seems to be charging OK.

3rd one I've had - others charged when phone was in the case - this wont charge unless the phone is out of case and strength / length of use of battery appears weak

It may be too early to give a product review in that I have not learned how it works. One button is for on and off. Does that mean it is charging the phone or not when it's on or off. I don't want constant charging. I want the iPhone to run out then I turn on the button to charge it fully from the charger case. When I plug in the charger to the wall outlet, is it charging the battery case and the phone at the same time? I can't tell. My old case and a switch that went up and down so I could tell which mode it was in. This one has a button you push and hold for two seconds. If I hold it longer is it toggling off and on?It looks and fits well.

Not nearly as good as Mophie. Less $ but does not work as well. Charge does not stay and case does not charge well. Very disappointed. Was hoping to replace an old Mophie who's charging port is no longer tight so I have to be careful how I place it. BUT, once charged, it holds a charge and provides a good solid charge. This one does not.

The charging is exceptional. (Can keep up with active use throughout the day into the next.)However, as a "case" the two-part (top-bottom) structure can be a risk for those who "shake" their iphone to "undo" a step.The bottom part secures very well onto the iphone but the top part is a relatively thin piece of plastic. If you are only holding your phone by the bottom when running, shaking or other quick movements--the top is not strong enough to hold the phone in place and both top and phone can go flying while you're left holding the bottom charger. Use with care.

The cover did extend the battery life by at least 3 to 4 hours, which was great but the regular uNu Power case without the DX extended it 3 to 4 hrs. The PLUS did not extend it beyond that. Not so great was that the top piece is rather frail and it has to be removed to take the phone in and out, so over time it's likely to break. Also the case instructions claim the phone can be charged without taking it out of the case, which is true, but it also says once the phone is charged, the case will start charging. That is NOT true. I kept the phone plugged up overnight and the phone charged but not the case. You have to remove the phone and plug in just the case, which means you are taking the fragile top piece on and off every time you need to charge the case. At some point that piece is going to break, like the first one I had. This is my second purchase in 6 months after the top piece broke. Finally, the switch on the back of the phone is to toggle on and off the phone charging, but I was never able to make it not charge. So if I was trying to reserve the power, it was a "no go". As the phone started running down, power started pouring into the phone. So much for having that power to use later when outside the house. :-) Finally, you can't charge the phone or case inside your car without removing the phone, which requires taking the fragile top piece off too. Aawhhh!! You can't beat the price though for extending battery life 3 to 4 hours.

Was working great for a while but after only 4 months the battery case will no longer charge up and therefore there is no charge for my phone. A few weeks ago I dropped it but it continued to charge, but suddenly a few days ago the cord would no longer charge the battery case, I purchased a new cord and that did not work either. Although I do consider dropping it to be the reason it stopped working, I feel that something that costs $50 should withstand being dropped, especially as heavy and hard as this case is. Plus the case still worked for several weeks after I dropped it so I am not even sure that is the problem. One day the cord just didnt charge the battery case any more and that was the end. I still like the convenience of having a battery case but probably will not go with this one again.

I like the strength of the battery in this case and no longer have to charge my iPhone during the day. I do have problems with the top of the case coming off. Several times I've taken the phone out of my pants pocket and the top of the case remained in my pocket. I also noticed my pictures whited out when using the flash caused by the silver part of the case surrounding the camera opening. I painted the silver part with black paint and the flash pictures are much better now. Despite these problems, this case is still better than the Mophie Plus I had before that did not power the phone all day and then developed a problem with the charging cable connection that caused the case not to charge at all.

It does not take a full charge

Luckily, I ordered two. The white one fits superbly. This red one seems like it needs the top half to be cut down alittle. The volume buttons are hard to adjust too.

POS! Didn't even work when I received it. Can't return it cause for some reason my phone doesn't charge the normal way. But the switch to turn on the batter pack is s***

Chesy cheaply made a knock off

The charger port is loose, so that the cable I use to charge it never fully connects. It's really finnicky, and if you move it at all while it charges it disconnects. Otherwise works well. Maybe my unit is just a little bit defective.

Day one: lets rock this! Great looking case(looks like new actually). Comfortable in my pocket...Wait...it doesn't charge the phone. On/Off switch on the case seems to be loose since I had to juggle it to get it working.Day three: Trick didn't lasted long. But somehow I found a sweet spot where the phone gets charge by lifting the phone from the charge port on the case just a bit. So I inserted a small piece of paper next to the port and it did the trick.Day7: Trick didn't lasted long either. Seems that the only way to get the case to charge my phone is by connecting the case to the charge cable. Otherwise is useless.I probably lost my money and time just 'cause someone at "Mophie Great Industries" forgot to do a quality check on a refurbished item.

NEVER WORKED AS ADVERTISED

The case is made out of poor quality materials. I have purchased three cases and two broke near the volume open ports. Therefore, the ports have sharp edges that are unsafe.

This case is EXTREMELY bulky. Hard to fit comfortably in my jean pockets etc. The other thing about this case is it charges your phone all the time! So whenever you slip this case on with it fully charged, it continues to charge the phones battery. There is no switch to turn the case on/off. This is not only bad for the case but bad for the phone. I bought the case February 4th of 2014 and it now dies after only 3 hours of use. And then my phone battery runs extremely low etc. I am going back to the Alphatronix case I had before. It is much smaller/lighter and you have the option to turn the device on/off so it is better for your phone. This case looked like the Mophie one, which is why I got it. But it is not even close to the quality of it. Shop around for something else because this product isn't good!

I bought two of these cases, in order to have a hot spare if I forgot to recharge, which look and work just fine. For awhile. A month ago, one of them decided to start overheating during charging and use - so much that I am afraid it will damage the phone. The case becomes too hot to touch. And obviously, discharges rapidly. The second case has now developed a defective micro-usb connector which means it is "fiddly" and only works in exactly the right cord angle. Not good considering that I use it extensively in the car.My previous case, a pricy Mophy Juice Box was put out of commission by a small jerk on the USB cable, as in falling off a table. No big deal, but the whole thing was then useless. I am rapidly becoming a non-fan of micro-USB for high usage applications. Why oh why doesn't somebody come up with a Magsafe type connector for these portable devices???

Used this briefly on a iPhone 4s, it didn't extend the battery usage and it requires physical manipulation to turn it off on the base, after charging and then turn it back on when the main battery is depleted, problem is that the on off switch, even though it is recessed, can be accidently activated and then the two batteries discharge at the same rate and the extra power doesn't help. It also increased the weight of the phone by quite a bit, so for me it was not worth the effort, i returned it and just charge the phone on a more frequent basis.

The battery may last, too bad the case won't; it has fallen apart within a month. I upgraded from a Boost case which was sturdy but started to lose it's charge after close to a year. I purchased the Silver/black Unu DX Plus. Within the first week, I noticed that the top cap started to lose the ability to snap tight. Then, I did drop the phone and the top cap snapped in half (phone and rest of case was fine). The silver portion of the case (including cap) is a painted, lightweight plastic that is very brittle, the back is a more durable rubbery black material similar to the Boost case. I ordered two replacement top caps from Unu. The replacement cap cracked in a few days of normal use. Shortly thereafter, the case itself started a stress crack along the inside to the side where the top piece snaps in. One month. The heavier, rubbery Boost case weathered the last year no problem but the rigid, brittle plastics of the Unu is no match. It's disappointing to report this, it really was a promising case.

This case is trash doesnt even work. I charged it for 6 hours and did not work. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Buy a normal case not this trash.

It didn't even provide one full charge! The rugged mophie juice pack I bought used to provide me at least 1-1/2 charges on top of the full charge while plugged in!

This refurbished Juice Pack didn't work plus it came with a tiny instruction sheet (not a full one) I didn't even know there was an on/off button until I felt around. Not sure if it was just mine b/c it was refurbished or do any others work? I'm getting the uNu that was highly recommended to me

Product is crap. Barely holds a charge

VERY cheap plastic case. I put it on once and tried to take it off and the top part broke. I thought the sides were metal, this is very low quality, i would completely avoid at all costs.

Would not hold a charge (at all, not even for a second) two weeks after I bought it. It was great for those two weeks, and then it just died. It rattled on the inside, as if the battery wasn't secure at all inside the case. Its possible this caused a connection to break. No matter what, I returned it. Thank you Amazon for the quick and great customer service.

It is a defective product. The Phone-Case keeps charging the iphone all the time even the battery on phone is almost full. Therefore when I run out of battery I am run out of batteries on both, the phone and the case. Then I am out of batter until I get an opportunity to recharge the phone (or case). It is not the purpose of having a backup battery. I have control on it. So when I noticed the problem I lost the time to change on case as per Amazon’s return policy. No testing or R&D was done. Amazon should not be out of responsibility for selling these kinds of products. I hope I would have purchased from a local store so that I could have got it replaced.

I had the case for 3 weeks. I was blow drying my hair and it fell from the counter to a linoleum floor and COMPLETELY SHATTERED. I cursed, expected a little crack or something but totally destroyed from a 3 foot drop off a counter is not great quality. I understand it's made to be handled with care but chunks and screws popping off from one little fall means it wasn't built well to begin with. I will not be replacing it with the same brand.

What a POS! I don't think this thing lasted much more than a month. I'm careful with my phone. The only time I know of it dropping while in this case was when it dropped about 10-12 inches onto a pile of towels fresh out of the laundry. It then stopped being able to accept or hold a charge. However, the few times that I was able to use the extra juice from the battery case, it seemed to hold a lot of power. I want to say it held about 3 full charges for the phone before having to be recharged. That is, my phone drained to less than 5% and the case would charge it back to 100% three times before I had to recharge the case. After that month, the case doesn't do anything except get in the way now. So, I haven't even bothered with a case for my phone and it's doing quite well. There are times when I'd like the extra power but I now have a charger at my desk at work and I just charge up before I catch my train home and we're good.

When the case arrived it exceeded my expectations. I own a Phonesuit case which is very similar but chose to replace it with this one as this would have a longer battery life. It worked great for just under two months, but now I can't get the case to fully charge. I can get one solid blue light and one blinking blue light, but the others do not light up anymore. I have tried different charging cables as well as different wall adapters, and I have also tried charging it while it is plugged into the phone and also by itself, and get the same results each way - even though I've had it charging for several hours. I drained it and tried to start from scratch again, but it still does the same thing no matter how long I have it charging. Thankfully I kept my Phonesuit case and am now using that one again. Since the uNu Power DX PLUS case was not dropped or damaged in any way (I take very good care of my things), I don't know what has caused it to stop working, but be advised of this if you decide to purchase this case.
