Side by Side Comparison of: Long Run Technologies USA vs mophie

I never realized how much I depended on this case. It's a life saver because I constantly drain my iPhone4 battery. When the product stopped working I ordered another one because it worked so well and I was very satisfied with the way it works and protects my iphone. On the second order I mentioned to the company that I ordered another one because the first one stopped working. They responded immediately. The service was fantastic and beyond what I expected. I may also order more in the future because I want one for each day of the week so I never run out of battery power. If I buy more, this would be the one I would buy.

I liked the case so much that I bought 2 and would like to share some insights regarding there case/batteries for IPHONE 4S of which I have several I have been through several OTHER big name case/battery products, including M****e, I find these on par or better them these, here's why.

The case is thoughtfully designed to not be slippery in the hand. The design and production was well executed I say this because the case has a remarkably good tight fit to my IPHONES, there is no wobble and the upper and lower portion of the case mate perfectly. I know these are for IPHONE 4 so take these next 2 observation with that in mind ... I wish the designers would fix 2 things in future issues of the case, (highly unlikely additional IPHONE4 cases or battery will be done again). I find the lights on the bottom to be annoying when the phone is charging because they stay on, can't figure that out, I would have expected they might come on for 45-60 seconds and then go out, to my experience they don't. My solution to this although primitive is very effective to me a piece of black electrical tape about 1 inch long sliced down the middle and placed over the lights, I get my charge information mostly visually from the front of the phone, this works for ME; your mileage may vary.

Secondly I wish in future editions (if there will EVER be any) that the Mirco USB charge port would be located on the bottom or top. I question why the designer put it right on the corner, I suspect that this was done to be like other big name manufactures. Follow the enclosed instruction and charge up the case for the time interval indicated.

When needed the case has charged my phone pretty darn fast. The supplied micro usb cable seats well into its port, to my feel it is a good solid connection. The top audio out port is easily accessible through the top half of the cover and I use a stylus with a plastic plug all the time. Also the left side cutout to operate the vibrate mode on / off switch is easily accessible for those meetings when you for get to put it into vibrate mode before hand. First photo is with tape in place, second is with tape removed and charge indicator MANUALLY turned, third photo is the placement of the micro usb charge port. I feel that I got good value for my money as I have paid over $80.00 for similar cases. These cases will protect and let me keep my IPHONE4s a while longer and remove running out of battery too quickly when I am away from electric power for extended time periods. I would buy theses cases from the same vendor in the future if I needed to. -mh

This is an awesome product! It protects my iPhone when I drop it, and it can recharge it while I'm on the go. As my phone gets older, it drains faster. As I add apps, it drains the chattery faster. This case has saved my bacon more than once. I use it daily. I'd recommend it for anyone who needs backup battery power.

Best purchase since having my iPhone 4. I choose free shipping, since I also bought another item, and they came when promised. After fully charging the included battery, I put my phone in the case nice and snug, and everything lined up perfectly. At night I charge my phone and the battery in the case at the same time, plugging the included cord into the cube that came with my original cord. The case makes it easier to hold my phone, as it adds a a little heft and is comfortable to hold. It looks like a part of the phone and gives it an updated, larger look.

It does everything it's supposed to.

So far so good, arrived on schedule and even and a 1/2 charge. Iphone 4S fits like a glove . I like that they put the usb plug on the side vs bottom so I don't knock it around on the nightstand. Also the on/off switch is a really nice touch compared to others which you have to hold down the charge display button to turn it on. the charge Display button is on the bottom with 4 led indicators. Its a little larger then my original one but not much. Actually feels more comfortable in your hand and top portion seems to be more solid then previous one I had.

Refurbished at $7.99. Amazing price. Works perfect. Clean as new. Gives new life to a well loved phone.

I love the mophie cases, but after several years, my old one died and I had to buy a new one. This is an amazing deal and it looks brand new. The color it incredibly vibrant and beautiful and the case comes with the official mophie charging cord (which is important as many cords of the same size don't make a proper connection) and I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I highly recommend it.

Bought one, tried it and as a result bought a second one for my wife's phone. It can get us through the day now with fairly moderate to heavy usage where the original iPhone 4s battery would be looking to be charged half way through the day. We've had them well over two months and they keep taking a full charge and doing thier jobs well, recharging the iphone 4s to full capacity again from 20%. They're smart looking and add a bit of heft to the phone overall making it easy to hang onto and will fit in my phone holster easily which is a plus. They add just a bit of how thick the unit is - about 3/16th of an inch, and just a little over a quarter inch to the length is all.

This is my third Mophie for my iPhone 4S and I love em. Yes, I said third because I'm rough with my phones and the other packs protected my phone with plenty of accidental drops from waist high.Of course, with my luck they always seem to land on the bottom where the charging port is and that is where some pretty sensitive electronics are located.I've always been able to take my phone down to 10% and flip a switch on the pack to get a full charge back on the phone battery. Easily doubles the battery capabilities of my phone.

Saves being connected to a wall. Comes in handy since iphones or most phones now you cannot switch batteries.

It's great! I can't get over this case. It comes with the charger you need, and it charges the phone with no struggle. I've had charger cases from this company previously and they lasted so long! It protects your phone well from the back but a glass screen protecter will fully protect your phone, it's not too bulky, it looks pretty nice too. DEFINETELY recommend it!

iPhone 4 and 4S is less and less in demand. But for those of us who still have them we still pamper and coddle them.

My first backup back died and this was its replacement. Any color you want as long as it is black. Amazon delivered as promised, good. The shell/case of this backup is very good.

However, instructions were on one piece of paper with no illustrations nor diagrams. There is a good length USB to micro USB and yet the length of the micro USB port to the backup is, IMO, deeper than many mini USB connectors. One needs their cable or a mini USB connector that might be longer than what you are used to putting into your devices.

The length to charge is decent, but it seems to discharge at a faster rate, or just doesn't have the capacity I was hoping for.

This battery case is still charging after a couple of months. So far so good. It also charges phone first then the case. The flip switch has to be pushed firmly to charge though. Still it has been an excellent product.

Just got the case and it seems great so far. A little bulkier than I expected but that didn't affect my rating. It would have still received 5 starts if the case didn't constantly have my power button pressed in.

It does it's job. The case is really good at protecting the phone and the back of the case feels good in the hand. After 2-3 weeks, the battery doesn't really hold the same amount of charge as it did the first few times, but that's to be expected with all batteries. It will still provide you with at least 50%-60% of battery though, so all in all this is a good purchase. Mophie is a respectable company that I wouldn't mind purchasing from again.

I bought two of these and a part of the case got broken after a month. I contact the seller and they were very nice and I got the replacement right away. The communication was super good. I also bought one for my brother, and his did not have any problem. It's nice to have a great customer service.

It wasn't what I wasn't expecting I figured itd add wait and bulk but even with all the extra bulk the battery extension was lacking most of the time it only got my battery up to 80% when some cases would nearly charge my phone twice on a single charge

Perfect spare battery. I can't make it through the day on one.Lite weight easy to install.

Product came 4 days late. Works well however the charging connection seems too loose and falls out a lot.

Well worth the cost! The only thing is it will break if it's dropped 3-4 times. The side pieces detach almost all the way and the frame will crack.

Decent Battery Reserve back up which works inconjunctiuon with internal battery, but charging port is on a corner that is difficult to connect for charging . Comes with Usb Charging cable which is a plus but without the plug .

This case has its issues. You can't really tell how much battery life you have left. You can charge it every day and be pretty safe on not running out of battery. I'm not sure if this one was defective or that it was just poorly designed

Not a bad power alternative/additional power source as a whole, and I would have given it more stars but for the following reasons that you should consider before YOU buy this product: If you keep it attached to your phone all the time you will not be able to use ANY of your OEM synching/docking cables/systems/devices - you must use mini USB cable, like the one provided, in order to charge - and IT will not allow you to sync; Your previously purchased carrying cases or vehicle mounts probably won't work as this charger/case increases phone size enough to make fit very tight or unusable.
On the plus side - it does extend your battery life; it's not to bulky in the hand; and the phone mates well with the case. I would not think, however, that it could withstand long-term repeated disassembly and reassembly in order to sync your phone (unless you sync wirelessly). There are also some edges you can feel along the seams that catch your attention - but not overtly so.

Overall the case functions well and protects my phone, but the material is a little too slippery and I've almost dropped my phone several times. Also, the area where the charger plugs in doesn't allow the charging cord to seat very well. Often times I find the cord has backed out partially or completely and therefore isn't charging the phone or case.

Delivers but build quality leaves so!ethin to be desired. Multiple seams not properly sealed.

It only lasted about 4 months before the charging port got too lose to charge it up anymore. I guess you can't expect much more for the price of a refurbished model, but I am now leery of buying another Mophie product for the same reasons. The port was also in a strange place on the phone which made it awkward to charge.

This supposedly provides enough extra battery for several charges. It seems to double my battery life, but that's about it.

So far so good... its nice case, a bit heavy and the adaptor is not the same as the iphone and is too short., but the model is nice and the battery works fine and last a lot....

Very hard to connect cable. Seems to be charging OK.

3rd one I've had - others charged when phone was in the case - this wont charge unless the phone is out of case and strength / length of use of battery appears weak

Disadvantages:
The Battery case claimed to be 2000mAh, but with a Full-charge, it only charges up to 74% of my iPhone 4 (which is 1420 mAh, which is brand new replaced with Apple Battery)
-The charging socket is Micro-USB and very poorly designed. In a way that the cable socket easily may inplugs from the phone! Moreover, your iPhone cables would be Useless as soon as you buy this Battery case.
-Cover sizeably affected the Sound and the vibration of the phone. In a way that many times i would not realize the buzzes and rings of the call, while phone is in my pocket.
-if your phone does above 26% of bettery once you turn the Case-Battery switch on to start to charge your phone-battery, case-battery would NOT Auto-off the chargerging process once your Phone battery is fully charged and it literally drains/waste the rest of the Case-battery power.
Advantages:
-Nice outerior coating of the cover.
-LED indicator of the Cade-Battery.
-On/Off switch for the Case Battery.

i had a mophie on my previous phone, but thought I could save some money by buying this. Wrong. It's junk - the charging connection is loose, and the functionality is such that it was actually impeding my ability to keep a charged phone.
Awful.

the first one did not work, however they shipped me a new one. still having issues. my I phone 4 seats in the second one . unfortunately my phone lasts longer with out this installed. I tried charging them together, separately. no work. I have not notified the vendor. wish them luck. I don't think a 3rd unit is the answer

1st of all its not a Mophie case. A mophie would fit perfect. A mophie case would at least charge the phone to 100% from 5%. And still have more juice. This almost fits perfect. I have a iPhone 4s and the top piece doesn't fit right. Lock button would stay stuck. Which would make phone show "swipe to power off". So I used my mophie top with the new bottom.This case would charge your phone from 5% to 75% and that's it. I was better off paying $85-100 for a mophie. But this would do for now.

I've had this product for about two months and when fully charged, it doesn't charge my phone completely. It doesn't take long for the power to deplete. Also if you are charging it at night while asleep, the lights on the device are bright and will light up the room. I suggest putting a towel over it. It does, however protect my phone.....that's it.

It does not take a full charge

Luckily, I ordered two. The white one fits superbly. This red one seems like it needs the top half to be cut down alittle. The volume buttons are hard to adjust too.

POS! Didn't even work when I received it. Can't return it cause for some reason my phone doesn't charge the normal way. But the switch to turn on the batter pack is s***

Chesy cheaply made a knock off

The charger port is loose, so that the cable I use to charge it never fully connects. It's really finnicky, and if you move it at all while it charges it disconnects. Otherwise works well. Maybe my unit is just a little bit defective.

Day one: lets rock this! Great looking case(looks like new actually). Comfortable in my pocket...Wait...it doesn't charge the phone. On/Off switch on the case seems to be loose since I had to juggle it to get it working.Day three: Trick didn't lasted long. But somehow I found a sweet spot where the phone gets charge by lifting the phone from the charge port on the case just a bit. So I inserted a small piece of paper next to the port and it did the trick.Day7: Trick didn't lasted long either. Seems that the only way to get the case to charge my phone is by connecting the case to the charge cable. Otherwise is useless.I probably lost my money and time just 'cause someone at "Mophie Great Industries" forgot to do a quality check on a refurbished item.

This charger worked really well...for 5 months. At the 5 month mark, it started charging the phone whether or not the charge button was on red or green and then less than a week later, the charger itself wouldn't hold a charge. Now it's going in the garbage and we'll be ordering from a different company.

Buyer Beware - This is a generic battery case, designed to look like a Mophie battery case. The packaging is the same, with a few Chinese/English words here and there. I bought one and it didn't work at all, so I returned it.

This case has a major flaw in the design. While it does achieve the basic functions of providing extra battery life and protection for your phone, the plug for your charger is awkwardly located on the top corner of the case with a slight curve making it very easy for the cable to fall out during charging. Slightly touching the cable will knock it out. If you buy this product be prepared to frequently wake up to an uncharged phone. I regret purchasing this product and I do not recommend it to others.

The case looked good , and that's all I can say. The power cord would not stay in the unit and cord was to short! Bad design.......... or bad plug whatever... It took at least 3-4 hrs to fully charge unit. And could only get one charge into my 4S I phone from a 4 LED charged unit. Would not buy again!!!!

I actually really liked this product when I first got it. It charged my phone as asvertised and the case is pretty nice too. If it still worked I would have given this 5 stars. It will not charge anymore. It quit charging after a month or so. I've tried different cords and power packs thinking that might be the problem but no, It's the case.

This case is trash doesnt even work. I charged it for 6 hours and did not work. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Buy a normal case not this trash.

It didn't even provide one full charge! The rugged mophie juice pack I bought used to provide me at least 1-1/2 charges on top of the full charge while plugged in!

This refurbished Juice Pack didn't work plus it came with a tiny instruction sheet (not a full one) I didn't even know there was an on/off button until I felt around. Not sure if it was just mine b/c it was refurbished or do any others work? I'm getting the uNu that was highly recommended to me
