I don't get the bad reviews unless this item breaks in a week. I just received and tested it out. The video is very good and the audio within the video file is amazing. I could clearly hear my television from a room away in the video clip. Instructions can be found on YouTube under y2000. I will update if stops working but I am very satisfied as of now. Very small also.

So I got this to add to my Robosapien. It isn't even a hack, per se....as the unit is totally self enclosed. I added a 2G mini SD card that I had on hand, charged it up, and put a plush Velcro dot on the back of the camera and corresponding hook Velcro dot on basically the "belly button" of the Robosapien....easy, instant video capability.....yes, you have to press the button to activate the camera, but it is so easy, it's not a problem, and it doesn't look bad at all.It's pretty cool, I say, and the price was a pittance.

Excellent product. Records video, voice and can be played back through windows media player. Time-stamp on video can be fixed to your time-zone..I give ten stars - you cannot ask for anything more for nine dollars. woooow amazing...

The first one I got did not work so they sent me another one ASAP and it works good.The video and pics are ok, it is fun to play with a sling shot,get some crazy video!All in all not bad for 10$The next one is for my Cheerston cx10 micro drone project!!

I Love this little camera! Yes its kinda a piece of junk but what do you really expect for $8? It truly far exceeds my expectations from an $8 device. It's really not suitable for a lot of purposes, as there are so many better ones better suited to your application. But if you need Super Duper Cheap and mega-tiny and uber-light, and are tech savvy, this thing really is cool! The picture quality is not bad at all. It doesn't perform flawlessly all the time (it locks up sometimes, the clock is hard to set, the AVI files that come out of it are difficult to edit, it takes FOREVER to transfer via USB - way faster to take the Micro SD card out and put it in your computer directly, but you don't have to)...but the darn thing works and only costs $8 bucks!The screen is a tiny sticker, there's no viewfinder or way to review your pictures on the camera. When connected to your PC, you can do any of 3 things simultaneously: just charge, transfer files (it appears as a removable drive), and live-stream / webcam. It needs a real computer to charge, it doesn't charge from a regular USB charger-only. But THE DARN THING WORKS and has DECENT QUALITY FOR AN $8 ALL-IN DEVICE!So why did I buy it when there are so many better cameras? My particular application required the tiniest self-contaned/self-powered camera in existence. I have a super-light model RC plane and I wanted to turn it into a "drone" on the cheap. So for me, for $8 I now can record video from my plane. After doing many flights with it fully assembled (and the camera performed flawlessly even after a few crashes, but the plane didn't love the miniscule extra weight), so I removed the outer casing to even further shed weight and size. The working innards are of course super tiny and yes they work! So now the innards of the tiny camera are part of my plane and it flies almost as fast as without it. Overall I couldn't be happer for my $8 bucks.The video really is decent for being high up in the air. It's no Go-Pro, its way far from HD, but again, its DVD-quality at best, but the thing is light, tiny and only EIGHT BUCKS! So as long as you remember the thing is disposable and probably easily swallowed, the thing really does a bang-up job.

What do you expect from a $10 micro video/picture camera?For $10 this thing is really amazing! It's so small which is amazing, and it can record on removable Micro SD which is amazing, it has a USB connection and a built-in rechargeable battery using the USB connection which is amazing, and it records at 30 frames per second (with audio) which is amazing. The plastic casing is normal hard plastic, which is why I don't understand how some people would think that it feels cheap like a toy!?When I first got this the battery was dead, so I had to recharge it. Then it wasn't recognizing my 1GB Micro SD card even though it was formatted for FAT or FAT32. It would turn on, then just turn off after 5 seconds later. So I pressed the reset button on the front then it was able to recognize it and created the necessary directories. The webcam mode worked as expected too.My pictures turn out to be 1280x1024 even through the box states they should be 1280x720. Maybe it's internally 1280x720 stretched to 1280x1024 output, I'm not sure. The video is 720x480 even though the box states it should be 640x480. Again, not sure if internally it sees 640x480 and stretches it to 720x480. I just know all my AVI files are 720x480 no matter what program I use to view the file statistics. I've seen numerous specs on the resolution of this camera, so maybe there's multiple versions passing around?I ordered 2 of these cameras on a Sunday. The first was from a China dealer. Then about 20 minutes later I ordered from a local California dealer. The CA item arrived in 3 days. While the China item arrived in only 9 days. The CA order was a retail package, it came with retail box labeled as a "Y2000 Mini Camcorder" (there seems to be a Y2000, Y3000, and Y5000 models). The China order arrived in an envelope without the retail box, but everything else included was the same. There was no CD in either shipment which was expected, as even the retail box doesn't state that it should come with one. The CD wasn't even necessary as Windows 7 found the camera and installed drivers automatically for storage mode and webcam mode. And I was able to download a free webcam program anyway, there's tons of free ones out there.I haven't tested the length of battery time, but others have and say maybe 40 or so minutes of video? You'd have to test it for yourself.All in all this camera is as advertised. It's cheap, small, and works. The quality is not 1080p clarity, but for the price it's a steal! This technology 15 years ago would have been $1000!!There are better video quality cameras out there, but they are more money than this one. I've talked a coworker into buying two of these from the local seller, and those worked the same as mine.I would highly recommend this camera to anyone.

Does a good job recording. Good sound and video. I find that the button doesn't always do what I want. Double click will just turn on recording rather than activity delay so I have to pay attention to the blinking.

Very pleased and very reasonably priced, you need to read instructions I did not find any difficulty in using it.

i order two motion detection clothes hooks. They arrived in the 3-5 days range and the items were shipped with cared. Instructions were pretty basic and if your more of a visual learner like me I found plenty of tutorials on YouTube on how to use them. They tend to capture a great image and good quality sound. After charging both hooks and testing them out I did have trouble with JUST ONE of the hooks. The spot where the usb was placed in the hook tends to be a little tight when trying to remove the usb cable from it. As a result the whole usb socket from the hook came off attached with my usb cable and there was no way on earth that hook would ever charge ever again. My word of advice is be VERY gently when removing the usb cable after charging it and you shouldn't have the troubles like I did. I told the seller my problem and got a replacement right away they were really courteous and professional.

With much anticipation I waited for my new toy and I was not disappointed. I have bought cameras of this design before with similar resolution so no surprises in quality, handling and accessories. Easy set up and operation, but the manual is a little bit unclear. It helps to watch the online setup guide. Once the P2P is set up, you can switch between AP and P2P without needing to change settings.Pros:The resolution is decent, not HD.It has wifi capability, both P2P and AP.Very small size.Nice little app for your mobile.Fully functional when on charge.Cons:Wifi range is very short, direct line of sight 50 ft and if there is a wall in the way, 6 ft.(in AP Mode)Narrow view angle.Short battery life.The unit gets very hot when operating.Overall:It is a neat little cam that is small enough to carry around in your pocket without even knowing it is there.Love that you can connect directly to the camera with your phone without the need of a router (AP mode). Would be happy to see this feature on a cam with HD resolution, wider view angle and a longer wifi range. If the Wifi had the range that was advertised (80m/260ft) it would be an awesome cam and would well deserve 5 stars.

I decided to try this camera on a small quadcopter and see what would happen. There is no point in filming at night, because in low light nothing is visible in the video. Just useful for daylight.

I just received it. I think it is so adorable. It took me a bit of time figuring it out. But I finally got it to work. It records and takes pictures. Yes the quality is not perfect it is like when the digital cameras first came out. So to compare to the photography camera now forget it. This mini camera is crap compared to the professional ones. BUT It does work fine. It is worth the price. I think it is great for the price and size. I will place in one picture i took with it. it is a pic it took with the camera turned sideways. I am noticing it takes pics that look zoomed in a bit. I will take more pics and videos another day with it outside. And see how they are compared to indoors.

This camera is really cheap, but the quality you get is surprising. It seems that in full daylight you do get 720p quality. I use this to mount on the end of my airsoft guns, it works perfectly for that. I would recomend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend a bunch of money on a camera, but wants pretty good quality

The first camera was delivered with a defective operating button on the camera, but after contacting the company I received a new camera that, I think, had to be rushed delivered. I used it in one of my model rocket's and the movie of the launch came back with incredible results! It was like having an expensive handheld camcorder inside that rocket. Very pleased. Packing was great for such a small and delicate item. Thumbs up!

It is an amazing little piece of equipment. Just like the picture, it is unbelievable small, so it can be put most anywhere, a cap bill or stick it out a button hole. Twenty years ago, small cameras, not near as small as this one, cost several hundred dollars. At ten bucks it's a giveaway.

Made of fragile plastic parts but what I expected for this item at this price and because of it's micro size. Picture quality is that of a low quality surveillance camera but you would definitely be able to identify the subject in the photos. If you are wanting something small to take quality pictures this is not the one. I rated it four stars because while it is average on quality for it's size it is awesome as a novelty item. If you are looking for a novelty item that actually works this is for you. This would make a cute gift for a photographer friend if you put it on a necklace which is what I am doing with mine. Adorable item. Pleased with what I got for the money.

This is some next level. I love its features. The only reason why I am giving a 4 star and not 5 is because whenever I plug it to my laptop, it says USB not recognized. But still you can use it by taking out the card and using a card reader. I love the motion detection feature. Quality of video sees to be good. The only reason why I took off 1 star was its size. Its looks big.

Yes this works well and I suggest looking it up on you tube for operating instructions. Issue is the lens is slightly zoomed. I had it behind desk but it's too zoomed

This item did exactly what I needed it to. I suspected the after hours cleaning crew at our office had been rummaging through my desk drawers. Three days after hanging it in my office, I checked the video and footage, and it confirmed just what I thought. Although I still can't figure out how to set the date and time even with the instruction manual. Also, the camera hole is noticeable, but that may be just because I know that's what the hole is for. The recording angle is narrow. It took me several tries to get it positioned just right.

Picture and sound quality were suprisingly good. If only I could figure out how to set the time and date, I would give it 5 stars. Anyone have a clue?

This item could be better. I use an android and I was able to get live filming on the phone. The farther you are from the phone, maybe behind a wall, and more the live video pauses. I think as long as you need this for a short-time (30 minutes), you would do fine.The graphic on this is very good for me. Not 1080p, but I would say 480p.

Works as it says. Range on the live feed is maybe 10 feet in my experiences. Fun little gadget does the job.

All I can say is this would be a great cam If! It had a good app for Android. You can't find the app on play store. The app they sent me a link to we'll let me say really sucks.This cam can really do a lot If they took the time to make a better app for It.I would like to use It with my PC It has wifi ? Being It's wifi you should be able to view From anywhere on the Internet.The app for now you can only view video and record. And the app Is allway's crashing. This could be a really great cam and worth the money If they made a better app for Android tablet.With that said at this time, It's only as good as the app for It, The app for It make's this a $ 5.00 dollar cam. If you get me a decent app I will change my review and star rating.

I'm not going to say it doesn't work because I have gotten it to work battery is very limited as a webcam or a spycam always-connected to a computer works great walking around with it's just too difficult to figure out if it's taking video or if it's taking a still and you have to use a computer to format it first off which is kind of annoying I was thinking I can pop it in and out of my smartphone but noooo I have to change the video settings in my phone

I've owned quite a few of these small cameras that I use for various applications. I have a small keychain cam that I like (small, can fit in my pocket, can use with my RC helicopters), and it takes good video.As for this camera: It's probably the easiest to use of the small cams I've owned. But it has some limitations. First: The photos are of poor quality, and they are stretched. The look is similar to what you'd get if you took a 4:3 photo and stretched it to a widescreen. It's just odd. The quality of the photo is also a bit sub-par to some of my other small cameras (grainy) That's particularly disappointing as the lens is larger than the other ones that I own. Video is also of lower quality than I'm used to, but thankfully it's better than the photos and not stretched.Then there's the shape of the thing. It looks like a toy camera for a doll. The lens is cartoonishly large in comparison with the rest of it. (The entire package is small overall). But this isn't something you are going to hide too easily as a nanny cam because, well, it looks like a camera. Unless you hide it inside something and cut a peep-hole it's pretty obvious. (Just my thoughts).So, it's an OK camera, and the price is decent. I'll find some application for it, or maybe I'll give it to my kid to play with.

It works pretty much as I expected, video is a bit dark and unstable depending on whether you hold it in your hand or affix it to something that is stable, (like a monitor or table). The instruction are hard to understand as if written by some space alien communicating with humans for the first time. The pictures seem to come out alright though. I haven't been able to get it to work as a webcam yet and I get a continuous tapping or electrical popping sound on all my videos for some reason but other then that the audio seems fine. So for the money it's a great little camera.

This product worked as described. It recorded decent audio and video. Motion detection also worked. I did have two problems:1. Battery life is quite short. Even in motion detection mode, it only works for about 2 hours before shutting down. Unless the event you are trying to catch occurs in those 2 hours, you will miss it. The short battery life made it unusable for my application.2. The camera field of view is pretty limited. This can most likely be worked around with proper positioning.

I turn on the camera, opened the APP working great, then when I place the camera down and walk away from the area with my Iphone to another room and I lose the camera signal. I tried using the camera as a back up camera for my trailer and again works great I get into my truck 19 feet away and I lose the signal. Not sure if its me or the camera, so I let my friend try it and same issue.

Hard to sink and takes for ever to get uploaded

Sent this back, tried several times and several ways to connect to my iphone. Was never able to get it to connect. Went back and forth via e-mail several times with the manufacturer. They had me try another app to try to connect... no luck. After almost 2 weeks of this they finally approved my return, I had to pay for shipping back but that was only about $6. Also, the price dropped by about $20.00 two days after I bought mine.

I've been in IT for over 15 years, so I SHOULD be able to make this little device work, right? Well yes, it does work... but only on iPhone device could the camera be seen. I needed it to work on my Android devices (which neither Auto scanning for the camera nor Manually adding would work). Occasionally the device would show up as not (!) disconnected, but even then it would not connect to the camera.Re-work your app in the Android store guys. I might have kept it.

The video camera itself works quite well. The phone App is okay but very limited. You can record what is being viewed but your recording only will stay on the App. You cannot move it to a file or off of your phone to another computer. The app ONLY WORKS ON PHONES, no tablets or other computers!!The SD card does not work at all. It initially seemed to work but the files were corrupted. Then it stopped working entirely. Being that this is the only way to record and transfer the recording this made it a disappointment overall.Wifi range is VERY limited. And don't even try to connect it through your home network WiFi. It does not work at all.The actual item is plastic and feels very cheap. The on/off button and video record button are very tight. You feel like you might break them at any moment. The accessories are just as cheap and overall useless.Battery life is VERY limited.In conclusion, it is only good for live viewing for a short period of time.I wish there was something exactly like it but made with better materials and all the functions actually work. I would pay 3X for such a model.I will be returning this and continuing my search for a better model.

I give 5 stars for the one that works. However, the second one does not record video. It's a bummer because you cannot tell until you try recording and then when finished you then remove the SD card and view. It's a bummer because I am trying to catch my evil nieghbors vandalizing my property, and clearly with the second camera I could have missed an opportunity to catch them.

Very nice, small gadget...But did not hold long time, and photos are not good, so I'm not happy with this for the price I paid !If you like gadget and for short use, then it's OK...

This device is difficult to use. It does record for a limited time. The battery life is definitely the weak link. I suspect it uses a lot of power even in the standby mode. It lasts about 2 hours in standby mode. I have not tested to see how long it will record in continuous mode. It does zoom in so the field of view is small.

I bought this mainly to use the motion detection which does not work very well. Sometimes it detects and sometimes it doesn't and when it does it will often stay on much longer after the motion has gone. The picture quality and sound quality are reasonable for the price.

I ordered two because its obvious when you take it home to charge and check that something in my office is missing. Well it did catch the thief in my office good enough, but it also started motion recording 90% of the time for nothing, and keeps recording for 30 mins. So even on 8x the speed play back I waste way more time than I wanted reviewing the footage. I guess you could say the motion detection works better than it should, but in a dark office that remains dark it should not turn on.

Cons: Came in a poorly encased box, obviously been opened and used even though I purchased it new...! The command like strip had been previously used as well - had to buy a new strip so it can stick to the wall . It also did not come with any instructions on how to record, had to look up online to figure it out. When I could get it to record the actual file would be corrupted or unable to open ( had to use other media player .) The motion detection is faulty , had to walk right up to it to have it start recording.Pros: It's a decent camera for the price. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I like gizmos and gadgets, this product was a big let down. It is small enough, but the instructions are vague and setup is no easy peasy task. There are multiple WiFi around me and you would think it would latch to the strongest signal which would be mine. In a perfect world. The Mini IP Cam app is no help in finding the cam and there is no way to tell the cam which WiFi to connect to. Your sure to need customer support on this one, lots of luck. Better off returning this product...

When I opened the box and glanced at this camera I noticed that it did not have the Conbrov logo. The picture shown on the Amazon site does. In fact there is nothing that says Conbrov either on the box that the camera came in or the little manual that is included with the shipment. ???. After the camera was fully charged I unplugged it and turned it on. The blue light came on but it is very hard to see. For the camera to start recording you press the button on the top left side of the camera and the blue light is supposed to blink to show that it is recording. It is almost impossible to see the blinking unless you are in a really dark room. Now here is the kicker: While I was moving the switches on the sides of the camera up and down, my thumb was brushing against the letters on the sides of the camera and they were coming off! After a while every letter and even the micro sd symbol were all gone. What does this say about the camera? You be the judge.Connecting my smartphone to the camera was not very difficult. You just need patience. But the way the manual is written leaves a lot to be desired. The video was acceptable but not great. The website claims that the price of the camera went down from $119 to $69 and then to $49.99. It is hard for me to believe that this camera at one time sold for over $100. I have an abundance of goodwill for Amazon. It is a great company. But for the Conbrov camera (if that is what it is) when I add up everything, I am left with the unpleasant feeling that I have been snookered. Happy Holidays.

I'm kicking myself for never getting around to returning this product in time! About a month after receiving it I finally tried setting it up. After opening the package, going over the instructions and downloading the app it requires I pick up the camera to turn it on (only other time touching it was to charge it) I notice a crack starting from the power button and going all the way down the side. Looking like onoy cosmetic damage I continue with attempting setup. Needless to say, after multiple attempts I never got a connection between the app and the device it's self. Very disappointing since I purchased the device to monitor the front door to my home after noticing a few things that seemed different from when leaving home and returning. Well, thanks to this product never working for me and lack of free time for replacing for another or something different all together, I had a break in and lost somethibg priceless to me and my family. I did however find out who it was "casing out" my place and the thief. NO thanks to this product of course.p.s. I failed to mention the email I sent to customer that never got a response.

I've owned a few of the cheap, Chinese made mini cameras over the years and I had decided to spend a little more and try to get a better camera. We live on the ground floor apartment, you see, and neighborhood kids delight in tearing up my wife's flower bed and potted plants on the porch. I needed a camera that could run all day while plugged into a power source which none of my other cameras could do.So I bought this thing.::sigh::First, the instructions are indeed terrible. It would be one thing if the problem were only the poorly translated Chinese to English. You can usually work with that. In this case, even the bad English didn't have complete instructions for all of the camera's functions. The screen shots of the Android and iPhone screens during the software setup were hard to see and didn't match the actual software app, which I"ll get to in a moment.Next, the app. Using the scan code in the instructions opened up an ad, not the app on Google Play. On the second try I was able to download and install the app, whose screens and functions didn't quite match the instructions. So I tried to auto connect, which failed, of course. From examining the instructions carefully I realized what I'd done wrong and connected my phone to the Wifi signal from the camera, which seemed very reluctant to work. It kept going in and out. Mind you, the camera and the phone were never more than a foot from each other, so if the wifi range is THAT bad...So after getting it connected, I tried to use the app to locate the camera. Care to guess what happened?If you said "nothing," then you're right! It couldn't find the camera. Well the instructions tell you that you can manually set it up but they do not recommend you do it that way. I find that hilarious, since it's the ONLY way you can do it if it doesn't auto detect. Ah, such useful commentary from the instructions and yet they couldn't find space in the booklet to tell me the difference between AP and P2P on the function switch on the camera. (Turns out, that's the difference between connecting to the phone directly or using the home network... I think...)So anyway I manually entered all the info until I noticed that the app wanted a password to connect to the camera, while the screen shot in the booklet showed no password field... So I used the same password I used to connect to the camera's wifi. Probably wrong, and I have a message out to the vendor (using the contact us section of their website.)So naturally, most of the camera settings are only accessible through the wifi app, meaning that since I can't get it to connect, I can't set anything up.The camera itself... The LED light to tell you when it's charging or when it's recording is buried inside the casing and you can only see it by peeking through the gap between the casing and the record button. (It looks purple when the camera is on AND charging). The instructions tell us we press the button once to start recording and again to stop, but I found that to get it to start recording I have to press and hold the button a couple of times before it starts recording. Maybe I'm using the wrong incantation or maybe the stars aren't aligned properly... I don't know.So I'm waiting to see if I hear back from the vendor on that password thing, because if they can help me get it all connected and running I may keep it, but I already have the return shipping label printed out because... well I just don't have a lot of faith in them. The website itself is terrible, with lots of links that take you to empty pages, and multiple "Contact Us" places, of which one doesn't even work. (I managed to find one that did.) They seem to have some YouTube videos on how to work the camera but oddly none of them are on their own website so you have to search around YT to find them.So if you enjoy headaches, uncertainty and bad instructions, by all means buy this camera. Otherwise...

This camera would not sync with my iphone 6. the iphone would not recogize the camera automatically, or manually. The manual is about 2 x 3 inches, maybe 2.5 by 3.5 inches, in micro-micro font. Whilst the videos from the company make it look moderately easy to set up (yes, even the videos are not well-scripted), in reality, the directions are poor, to small, and just won't work with an iphone 6 using iOS 8. I have just emailed the company, and they may return the email. Even if they do, I am extremely disappointed with this product. I'll look for some other wifi-enabled , battery powered device. Very disappointed. Hoping Amazon will do a return.

Did not work, camera overheated, shut my USB port down on my computer, would not connect to my IPhone and would record blank files to micro SD card.On the plus side the return was painless and the refund was really quick thru Amazon. I give Amazon 5 stars for that.I did have communication from a Conbrov rep and they said it does get really warm while charging

Crapped out within a year. Will not power on or accept a charge. Not bad for its size, but if it no longer functions, it's worthless.

False advertisement. Product is no where near as high res as seller states. This is just a gimmick. What I ended up doing if you want a hidden camera was use my iphone and prop it so the camera part sticks out your pocket a little bit. Substantially better image quality, and nobody really thinks much of it if they see an iphone sticking out your pocket.

Total scam. This camera is advertised for use as a webcam, but not possible to use because no drivers are available, Some other sellers provide a CD but not here. Can't find anything on internet to download.I don't expect quality pictures or operation from this camera but I do expect it to work and get seller support

absolutely does not work. does not hold the video card. It charges, but basically useless since the video card does not lock in.Instructions are in broken English, not worth the cost even though cheap to begin with. Mass produced crap out of Asia. You get what you pay for.

Looks great in paper and the ad is great, but IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!! At all! The instructions are confusing. I never could find a place to turn it on. Once the camera is charged, it's suppose to have a constant green light and it doesn't. It blinks all the time. I couldn't even see the view hole. It looks and seems it's a toy miniature. Don't buy it. It's a waste!

the hook was missing from the box - everything else there but the hook itself will update when I receive the product and have the chance to use it

I ordered three of these and took them to Africa with me, unfortunately I didn't try them before I left the US, two of the three never worked does what it wants, regardless of how I set it up it does something different.

This product is absolutely awful. It does not work as advertised. The instructions don't address basic problems and there seems to be no help anywhere.

Didn't work. We bought it to catch our roommates in the act of stealing but the motion detector is faulty and didn't turn on and even recording straight it only records for about 10 minutes. Waste of money. And we had to purchase a memory card for the stupid camera that we can't even return. Piece of crap!! Fake reviews!They sent an email to respond to them before reviewing negatively but they didn't even bother replying. Crap product do not buy.

This does not work. I can power on and stay for some minutes before it goes off. It cannot take a picture or record any video. I read other people's review that was ok, but what I received from amazon was scrap. I had to return it. It was waste of time and money.

Actually, it deserves a zero. Never worked...not once. Junk.
