Instead of having a million bins of baby clothes, I sorted out my favorite items and was able to use different sized bags for each age group. (0-3mo, 12-18mo, 2t etc...). The seal ice and tight and then I stack them in the storage closet (the sturdy packaging also protects agaisnt funny basement smells et ..) this is a true way to stay organized and save space! Impressed July 28, 2015 I bought these bags because we are moving in a month and I wanted to start packing. I don't have the space to store tons of garbage bags full of comforters and other winter blankets. I have packed 2 queen sized comforters, 1 twin comforter, 2 full size pillows, 6 decorative pillows an 4 complete sets of bedding (sheets and pillow cases) into the 2 jumbo bags we purchased. Everything fit and I had no problems getting them closed. It's been about 2 weeks since I've sealed them and they have been moved from one room to another various times. They have had huge suitcases stacked on them (thanks to my boyfriend) and both of my corgis have run across and sniffed them multiple times. These bags are still as sealed and compact as the first day. I was so impressed I'm buying some of the smaller bags today to store all of our clothes. Space Bag Wins Giant Comforter Storage Challenge August 21, 2014 Here in S TX, the overnight temps begin dropping below 60º around October. This prompts my wife to bring out the "oversize, overweight, super-thick Arctic comforter from Hell." By May the cavernous summer lair of the comforter has been filled, leaving it not only homeless, but dangerously blocking our hallway. My threats to relegate the comforter to our storage shed (where the wild things are) were met with similarly sinister threats. As I contemplated all-out storage wars, the Space Bag Jumbo came to the rescue. Now harmony reigns in my household as the giant comforter lurks (maliciously, no doubt) in a fourth the space it previously occupied.It was easy to stuff and easy to connect to the vacuum to deflate. It seems, after about two months, to be holding its vacuum seal nicely. Now I wonder if a Super-jumbo Space Bag could be used to remove the hot air from certain bombastic public figures? They are very strong and keep out odors that can sometimes occur when items are stored in a storage unit. October 8, 2017 I purchased these bags because I wanted to condense my clothes and use only a single computer backpack for short (1 - 2 day) air travel. I had tried a generic brand that failed (tore) while trying to squeeze the air out of it. These bags worked perfectly. When I got to my destination, the vacuum was still on the bag - no leaks at all after more than 2,000 miles of flying. Same on the return flight. The TSA Pre-check agent at the x-ray machine commented that it looked like I was using a Space Bag. I told him I was and he said he wished everyone would do that because it reduced the amount of carry on luggage and speeds up the security process. After several coast to coast trips, the bags work perfectly, hold the vacuum and are sturdy. No worries mate - will buy again when I finally wear this purchase out. to pack our ThermaRest pillows for travel September 13, 2017 We use these to pack our ThermaRest pillows for travel. Shove the pillow in a bag, roll it, squish it, sit on it to remove the air. Then it fits into carryon luggage quite well. Bags have been reused at least 4 times so far and are still sealing and functioning will. Love 'em. Favorite size September 8, 2017 Love to be able to purchase the exact size that I needed and to include smaller sizes that I would never use. This is much more economical. They are perfect space savers for travelling light. We usually travel around the country on my husband's motorcycle and we don't have much space. But these bags come in so handy! You just stuff your clothes in there and then just roll all the air out. They save a lot of space and I like that they keep our clothes separate from all the junk we can carry in our bag- likes shoes, etc... Highly recommend! Four Star Reviews: | 12% and I was amazed at how small the bag became once all of ... July 12, 2016 I really didn't think these would work, but my mom wanted them, so I ordered them. She was able to stuff a HUGE comforter in one bag, and I was amazed at how small the bag became once all of the air was sucked out. These are really great for storage. My only complaint is that one of the white zippers fell off when we took it out of the box. We were still able to seal the bag by pressing on the seal with our fingers, like an old school zip lock bag. Great product, does its job of vacuum sealing and protecting, but doesnt like to be touched April 2, 2016 Great product, great size, can fit multiple blankets and sheets plus 6 pillows in one! Bought several of these jumbo sized space bags for moving/storage. One star not given because of space bags inherent fragility- these bags have always and will always tear EXTREMELY easily. Their job is to vacuum seal and protect items inside but they DO NOT LIKE TO BE touched, drug, picked up, slid, tossed, thrown, or even carried when full. It's devastating when they tear just during normal filling or when carefully picking one up and placing it carefully in its place. It is more likely to occur but will occur without over-filling the bag. April 19, 2015 Great for sealing out dust and decreasing the amount of space that bulky items like bedding might otherwise consume, BUT 3 out of 4 bags did not hold the vacuum seal (see review picture). I suspect this may be partly due the slider not fully sealing the bag. It's best to hand press the entire seal bar after you zip it shut to ensure it's fully sealed, because the slider does not do the job.The other suspect vacuum seal leak is the cap, perhaps? I read other reviews about the bags tearing easily, so I was especially cautious and am quite certain none of the bags were torn in the loading process.Still, I like this product for the reason stated in the first sentence above. Works pretty well March 14, 2012 This bag works pretty well, just make sure you keep your bedding or whatever, behind the line that indicates how full you can make it, otherwise it will inflate later. They really do constricted down to a nice, workable size. I put two thin comforters, 4 shams and 5 throw pillow in it and so far so good. I would recommend this product. Great space saver April 29, 2017 I used these while moving in a studio and they are a great space saver (both in the apartment and in the car while I was transporting items. My only complaint is that out of about a dozen bags (varying sizes), I had 2 that ended losing their vacuum seal and could not be resealed. I think you have to be pretty gentle with them when moving around. Do the job. March 30, 2017 They do what they were supposed to do, but they were too big for my immediate need. I thought they would be carry-on size, and they're not. Gave them to my daughter. Oops, there goes the flapper! August 17, 2015 My vacuum cleaner has a tendency to suck up the flapper valves on these kinds of bags. It would help if extra valves were available for purchase, but they don't appear to be. Fortunately, I had some 1" wide silicone bands made by Grifiti, so I cut one to size to create the necessary seal. This hanging version works as advertised, but be aware the more you hang on the interior hook, the heavier the overall weight you'll have hanging from one point, instead of several, on your closet rod. Works well, as long you have one that doesn't leak July 8, 2015 This worked pretty well for us on our most recent vacation. We had 4 of them holding pillows and other fluffy, space-consuming items packed in our suitcases. Out of the 4, one of them would compress pretty well, but would slowly reinflate. As long as we squeezed all the air out of it and then put it right into our suitcase (and then closed the suitcase up), this wasn't much of a problem. If you were needing something to stay compressed, well, only 3 out of the 4 bags we had were capable of that.Other than the one defective bag, these worked pretty well, and we'll certainly use them again for future vacations.One warning - since these can allow you to cram more into a suitcase than you might otherwise be able to, make sure it's not pushing you over any weight limits. November 26, 2016 I've never used another brand of space bags, FYI. We move every 3 months, so these do get thrown around a bit.Ripped in spots soon into using them, which kind of defeats the purpose. The zip part isn't the easiest to use either. And, regardless of brand I imagine, things easily get a smell to them after being in the bag for a while.Overall nothing else would work so well for our needs so I'd likely buy again. 50% of the Time, It Works Every Time July 24, 2016 Received the two pack and loaded both with the recommended amount of contents, being sure not to over-pack. Within a day or so of removing the air from both bags, one remained flat, but the other expanded back to full size. I re-sealed the bag thinking I maybe had a leak in the zipper side and removed the air once more. The next day, same result. A year later, the second bag was still flat, but did have some extra air inside which I don't see as too much of an issue. I'd be happier if you got two working bags in a package of two instead of one for the price of two. I think quality control might be the problem. Works great, but is really fragile June 9, 2016 I love these big space bags, but they leak so easily! I had one start leaking and get stuck under my bed (I figured maybe the cat had accidentally caught it with a claw while playing under there), so I bought some more. I put my big fluffy comforter in, sealed it up, vacuumed the air out, and it was ready to store. I reached up to put it on a shelf and I guess it must have caught on something even though there was nothing sharp up there because air immediately started flooding in. I was able to find the hole and sort of fix it with some tape, but I hate that it was pretty much ruined as soon as I used it. The other one from the same box is holding up just fine, but I've been super-careful with it, which isn't really practical when you want to store things. Work well, but develop leaks over time. February 4, 2016 Bags definitely are a bit fragile. After 1-3 times of filling and using them they will develop leaks and not stay vacuum packed. I dont mind too much as my main concern is to keep my items dry and clean from dust and dirt which happens whether they are vacuum sealed or not. Two Star Reviews: | 12% Way too large to be practical, for me. July 18, 2017 Really didn't realize just how large these are. I can't find anything to put in them! Same Old Space Bag October 16, 2016 After a while the air seeps back into the bag, infl acting it thus making it hard to get to your items after you've placed them into narrow spots like under your bed or in a closet. Sour bummed they haven't mastered this yet. The same thing used to happen when I was 15...round 15 years ago. Now I bought these in April, it is October, I went to retrieve my items only to find I had to suck the air back out in order to get the bag from under my bed... 6 months is about how long these things hold I guess... Huge and did not hold a vacuum seal May 19, 2016 First, the bags are ENORMOUS. I wanted these for baby clothes storage and did not visualize the dimensions well. yes, that's my fault. But, more troubling, was that the one bag i took out of the package and tried to use did not hold a vacuum seal. I didn't bother trying the other and returned them. I bought a different brand that offered about 10 bags for the same price. The other two bags worked great and as advertised tho March 29, 2016 I bought t this product twice. In total I received four bags of which 2 of them self re-inflated repeatedly. After repeated attempts checking the bags and making sure we were following the instructions properly, the problem still persisted. The other two bags worked great and as advertised tho. All in all, there is a 50:50 chance this product will/won't work. Given the cost, the fact that I was packing to travel in a couple days and was unable to pack all my clothes because of this issue, I was very unhappy with this defective product. Last night when I tried to pull the bag out from under my bed to get something out of it it was full of air and stuck under the bed because it no longer fit. I'd say the smallest useful size bag would probably be a large, because honestly, I think 1 small womens size fleece hoodie would have maxed out my medium bag. Anyway, upon stuffing the bags (and I use the word stuffing very loosely), one of my 2 bags ripped. So that's 1 down and 1 to go. I had to suck the air out of the remaining bag twice before it stayed out, and I promptly shoved the "thin" -- but extremely lumpy -- bag into my closet, closed the door, and haven't spoke of it since. One Star Reviews: | 20% Bags don't stay sealed September 25, 2017 The suction doesn't hold. The bag will shrink while I'm vacuuming it, but then a few minutes later, the bag is puffed up again. This isn't an issue of overfilling or improperly closing the bag - it just doesn't stay sealed. The product deflated September 11, 2016 The Ziplock spacebar served its purpose for only a short period of time. I vacuumed all the air out of the bag full of clothes I had no use for, for the season. I was more than happy with the results. What I didn't expect was that the air would come out. I put the bag under the bed in its shriink form. Two weeks later I went to take the bag from under the bed only to find the air had come out. I immediately got the vacuum cleaner to suck the air out again in only a few minutes the air had come out again. They don't work. August 28, 2016 The jumbo size ones just do not work. They leak. The large size and all the rest work just fine. I think the jumbo ones must spring leaks because the zipper part probably moves or gets bent. I have bought and rebought the big ones, but I just cannot get them to work. Darn! im not happy!!! May 14, 2016 The bag does not stay deflated and yes I've made sure it's zipped and no there aren't any holes. The bag is totaly inflated within 5-6 hours. I'm frustrated because i told others about the bags and i had to go back and recant.
