Five Star Reviews: | 81% Great Glue-y Globs of Good Glue-y Glue Sticks! September 1, 2016 I work in a school where we use a LOT of glue sticks. When the school year started four weeks ago today I had bought a pack of glue sticks that contained about twenty sticks that I figured would last me for about half a year. Well, one teacher borrowed one here, one borrowed two there, I used a bunch and now I was down to like two and a half sticks already with a whole wall still needing to go up. I decided it was time to place an order for so many glue sticks that I wouldn't have worry about buying any for a long time. The Surebonder pack of 100 all-purpose glue sticks is just what you think it is. First, remember these are mini glue sticks for the types of guns that accept these like the one that I am using. Since I had some posters to put on the cinder block walls of my classroom and these walls are very well known for nothing in the known universe sticking to them besides hot glue, the ultimate miracle of science, I decided to try these bad boys out. Well, my little glue gun gets to a pretty high temperature compared to other "lesser" glue guns which other teachers have compared to the surface of our sun but these little glue sticks spit out molten, sticky glue like there was no tomorrow and conquered that wall in no time flat. Each of these glorious glue sticks measures about four inches long and with one hundred of them this gives you about four-hundred inches of potential melted glue with which to stick things to walls and whatever else you feel the need for. Oh, and all of this comes in a handy storage bag that we call "packaging" for future use! Awesome. In all seriousness, if you have a glue gun that accepts mini glue sticks and need a lot of them, then these little glue sticks will probably serve whatever purpose you need them for AND there's plenty of them! I love these little sticks. hot glue! April 29, 2016 as expected :) What more can I really say? they are for the mini hot glue gun. Perfect fit, heats quickly, bonds well with all materials. I own the "cool" hot glue gun and I have no complaints with these glue sticks. We like to do a lot of arts and crafts with the kids. I made my daughter's flower girl headband by hot glueing faux flowers onto her headband. very cute and saved me lots of effort finding the perfect flower girl headband. I actually glued the volume knob back onto the pin. I also hot-glued the rubber dobby back on to our door stoppers that my son likes to pull off. haha! can't remove them now! Best glue sticks! March 28, 2016 These are the best brand of glue sticks that I have come across! I run a small business making flower crowns and go through a lot of glue sticks! These are my favorite glue sticks to work with as they hold up really well! I haven't had any issues with construction quality with these. They hold up fantastic to the wear and tear that my customers put on their headpieces. Perfect March 8, 2016 I had bought these at the perfect time. Searching everywhere for a good price, but wherever I went they always seemed so expensive as I am in Hawaii. But I put these in my cart and 2 days later I got a notification that they were cheaper !! Winning for this mommy ! Haha anyways these are perfect for crafting and DIY projects for moms and dads and also for fixing broken things. I am very pleased with my purchase of this product and will be buying again. It came perfect timing to finish my Christmas gifts for family and friends! you find my review helpful? Let me know by clicking "helpful" below!! I will definitely be back for more! October 8, 2015 Using these with the Surebonder mini glue stiks Surebonder H-195 Mini Detailed Glue Gun and have absolutely no complaints so far. These glue stiks melt fast, dry clear and they do not thread (at all) which is probably what I love best about them. The threading issue, I think may be a combination of the quality of glue stiks and glue gun, because I recently let my friend borrow my good glue gun and had to resort to my old (*shudders*) Walmart brand glue gun, and using the same glue stiks that I had been using in the newer/better gun, I immediately began to get the threading effect again. | 61% GREAT LITTLE GLUE GUN May 22, 2017 Since my daughter absconded with my original glue gun, I was glad to fine this exact glue gun on Amazon. Great little product for my needs. Well made. I purchased the glue sticks at ACMOORE in case they didn't fit I could return quickly. My first glue gun August 18, 2016 So far, I've been able to fix one of my kid's toys and something else I just ordered here at Amazon. First glue gun I've ever used and I really like it. The built in stand works pretty well when you have to put it down for a bit. Just have to make sure there is something to catch the extra glue that might come out. Unless you don't really care about the table you put it on. Light duty, but who cares? May 5, 2016 Just what I needed, though you can pick one up for $2.50 at your local craft store (it's even cheap at Michael's) it has been at least 3-4 years that i bought this glue gun and the great thing is September 27, 2015 i bought this item a long time ago and did not get to review it until now. it has been at least 3-4 years that i bought this glue gun and the great thing is... i am still using it and it still works as good as when i first bought it. Great, cheap glue gun November 26, 2014 After moving across the country, I have yet to receive all of my craft supplies, so when Halloween rolled around I was desperate for some good tools to get my costume going. I needed a glue gun to glue 50+ feathers to crate wings. This glue gun was so cheap, yet survived my costume making rampage. And my wings survived a full night of partying! I would definitely recommend this. Great, reliable glue gun March 9, 2014 I've used this glue gun extensively and it hasn't jammed or had any electrical problems. I use the mini size high temp glue sticks and they melt hot and fast. Very hot. I've burnt myself multiple times....The only downside to this gun is the fixed legs near the tip. It makes it impossible to get into tight corners or spaces that a glue gun with folding legs could. I rarely use the legs to stand it up because the glue dries in about 20 seconds so I usually glue quick and plop the gun on it's side.Very reliable gun, great for any hot gluing needs. | 72% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 11% These glue sticks work well but they changed something in ... February 23, 2017 These glue sticks work well but they changed something in the formula. The glue sticks not have a cloudy look to them and not a clear look. Since this started they do not stick as well after the glue tries and can peel up easier Glue sticks September 29, 2016 These glue sticks work fine put will detach when the air gets warm. I've had to go back and repair a lot of projects. Its a hot glue stick July 7, 2016 Package came opened but it seems full truth be told im to lazy to count them. They burn quick like any glue stick i only wish they were longer I bought something for crafting... October 19, 2015 Better than the smaller packs you can buy at Hobby Lobby, and for a lesser price this makes it a great deal. Otherwise, you are getting exactly what you expect: 100 glue sticks that you then use to craft and complain about all the times you accidentally burn your fingers. great general purpose hot glue May 13, 2015 I use this glue as my go to hot glue for my business. I use a ton of it and it's awesome as a good, general hot glue. I rate it 4 stars because it's not amazing at bonding metals to other material. Though I find if I glue it a second time it holds very strong. It does produce a lot of glue strings too which is another reason I rate it 4 vs 5 stars. | 22% Gets the job done March 24, 2017 This is a handy little glue gun. Well made. I thought it was supposed to have different levels of heat but it doesn't It gets the job done. Nice for the price August 7, 2016 A very nice glue gun. The glue sticks it uses are just the right size. Works without fault and is easy to store or pack. Nozzle is kind of short compared to it's size. Requires a decent amount of effort to get the glue in tight spaces. I would certainly recommend to a friend. Everything I expected with some non-critical design flaws November 10, 2015 I needed a hot glue gun for a project and had no interest in breaking the bank on an item I'd use maybe once a year.Pros:It's a glue gunHeats quicklyPrecise applicationCools quicklyCons:Mini sticks mean you will probably be refilling the thing constantlyDrips when on but not in use (just put a piece of paper under it)"Stand" is not to be trusted - very tippyIt's everything I needed from it. It cost me almost nothing, so the design flaws are not an issue to me. It did it's job just fine. Works great, but small January 20, 2015 Good glue gun. I wish I had paid attention to the "mini" part in the description. A little small, but my own fault.During use, the gun will frequently fall on its side while working. More of an annoyance than anything else. That aside, it works well. I use the suggested mini glue sticks. They work well, too. The gun seems to go through them rather quickly, but again, that is due to the "mini" version. This is probably a great gun for small arts projects, but for anything bigger than, say, a few square inches, you'd be better off with a bigger gun. I found myself adding very frequently. Meh, it's ok I guess November 1, 2013 Not much to say. It works. It does dribble a bit, but I have never seen a glue gun that doesn't. I have nothing bad to say about this glue gun per say, but I think you really need to ask yourself if you truly require a mini glue gun because they are at a significant disadvantage to a larger gun. For larger runs of glue, it will run out really fast. I feel like I'm constantly have to shove new glue sticks in the back, and it's kind of awkward as they don't stay in there very well until the second gripper thing takes hold of the stick. I wish the rear gripper had more friction/grip to it. So it could be improved a bit, but if I were to buy one again I would just get a larger one. | 14% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 4% Fine for small projects. June 6, 2017 Too short. The glue stick runs out quickly, though likely fine for small projects. Adheres well. You get what you pay for. These didn't provide ... March 30, 2017 You get what you pay for. These didn't provide the most consistent hold. But, worked okay for projects involving paper and/or very thin fabric. Good not the best May 8, 2016 Works as described. Not that sticky but I am using glue gun for the first time so don't have experience of other glue sticks. I've had Better December 26, 2015 I thought these were a good bargain. They work, but the glue sticks I've had in the past dried faster and held stronger (wish I could remember what brand that was). These work ok, but I have to stop and give it time to dry, and I have to use a little more because the hold isn't great. I guess sometimes you only get what you bargain for. Quality is very average. August 23, 2012 These hot glue sticks are a little softer than some others I've tried in the past. Because of that the bond isn't quite as strong on various projects or repairs. But what can you expect for the price? These are priced reasonably and do a competent job but they are far from the best. 3 stars. | 8% Maybe I just suck with a glue gun February 2, 2016 Maybe I just suck with a glue gun, but it feels like it comes out in globs as opposed to a steady stream. Okay January 6, 2016 Tiny glue gun. Oozes a bit when put down, no catcher so watch where you put it. Also very hot - not suitable for children. Not bad for the price November 23, 2015 It works okay. When not in use, it tends to drip, so I have started putting it on its side instead. When it starts to get to the end of a glue stick, it seems like it slips when you pull the trigger, it also seems to do this if it starts to drip. works fine. September 9, 2015 You need to insert a new glue stick when the one that is already in is only half-way through because the pushing mechanism is not long enough or you have to use your fingers and then a pen! Otherwise, works fine. not a bad little glue-gun (for the price) August 9, 2015 I wish so much glue didn't leak out of this glue gun while i wasn't using it. I also wish it was easier to feed new/continuing sticks into the gun wasn't that big of a pain in the butt. Other than that, not a bad little glue-gun (for the price). Not bad for the price ... September 12, 2013 For $5, I really can't expect a top of the line product but it was a bit annoying that the gun would leak glue when not in use but still plugged in. I just place it a top a piece of paper but sometimes I forget and then I have to scrap bits of glue off my dining table. Also as another review mentioned, the cord is absurdly short. | 5% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 2% Gun is very nice but where are my glue stixs July 17, 2017 Received the gun but nm o glue six with it! Gun is very nice but where are my glue stixs!? more for crafts and temp solutions than anything else February 18, 2015 eh they arent that great do not stick to things they should and very very subject to fail with temp changes low quality February 24, 2014 sticky to the touch when you get them and after they are used. not clear as advertized, much cloudier than even normal glue sticks. not worth it. get a different brand | 4% Spend a little more March 4, 2015 Just doesn't get hot enough to melt the stick. Not satisfactory for model building at my house. TINY hobby glue gun. September 11, 2014 Glue gun works as described for small items, hobbies etc. If you are a professional woodworker or some other such profession and use one of these at work I'm here to tell you this is not the glue gun for you. You want something... bigger. better. This is SMALL. It's like a snug .22 in my hand. But it get's the job done I suppose. Too cheaply made February 20, 2014 The thing broke the first day we tried to use it. One of the little legs snapped off. It still works but it is a bit of a counter-burn hazard. I wish I had invested a little bit more money and purchased a better one. Surebond GM-160 Gkue Gun February 12, 2014 What a shock to find the Surebonder GM-160 Glue Gun is designed for children without adult supervision or tiny adults with very small hands! Purchased two - dumped both when arrived,. The search for quality adult glue guns continues... Sheesh! Tough to use, easy to burn fingers January 20, 2014 Admittedly, I only needed this for a quick project (hot glueing Lego baseplates onto a table) so I bought a cheap one. It's cheap for a reason. First, let me say that it works. The glue goes in one side, gets heated, and comes out the other as promised. But the trigger is really difficult to squeeze, and the configuration is so small that my thumb and forefinger both found their way into the "hot zone" multiple times. I seared myself multiple times. Also, if you're using for an extended period of time (longer than 15 minutes, say) your hand will cramp and your trigger finger will have a deep indent because the trigger is really really tough. | 4% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 2% and see if I find a mini glue stick that seems to work better. December 18, 2016 I am no scientist so I cannot readily identify what it is in this glue that makes it weak, sloppy and difficult to use as compared to the larger sticks by other manufacturers. So I am going to try another manufacturer than FCP Corp. and see if I find a mini glue stick that seems to work better. Misleading and flat-out wrong advertising November 13, 2016 These are NOT 5/16 inch diameter, despite the description. They are .27 of an inch. Some guns might be able to use them, some might not. And don't let one of the seller's answers of saying they are slightly under 5/16 to allow for smooth movement through the gun fool you. That's like a used car salesman telling you there's no spare tire to save weight making the car more economical on fuel; spin that is just trying to convince you a problem is actually a benefit in order to make a sale. Doesn't fit most glue guns. October 1, 2015 Size not provided in description, so it doesn't fit my glue gun. absolutely worst quality glue around September 5, 2015 Stringy, messy, absolutely worst quality glue around. I prefer getting the walmart mini glue sticks. Way better for the price too. | 5% ... the first time and it proved to be a pretty bad product July 1, 2016 I was so excited to use this glue gun for the first time and it proved to be a pretty bad product. I didn't even go through the first glue stick. Failed in the middle of it. It stopped as I was using the first stick. Also, the gun stand to rest the glue gun on does not swivel back and is always in the way if I try to get close to the surface to glue. Bad design. I am very disappointed and also frustrated that I waited too long to try it out after buying it last year that I cannot return it. ... many mini glue guns before and this one just sucks. The glue just doesn't come out fast enough ... March 21, 2016 I've used many mini glue guns before and this one just sucks. The glue just doesn't come out fast enough and the glue stick often gets stuck in the back where you put it in. It gets clogged up and I have to pull out the stick completely and put a new one in to get it to work again. Junk - Do Not Waste Your Money No Matter How Low The Cost!!! February 25, 2016 The second time I tried to use this item it just died! I only used it once on a very small project before it died! I know the cost was low but it was not advertised as a disposable use once and throw it a way glue gun so it is junk!!! I have not had any luck with any customer service! If this changes I will add to this review!!! Never Worked December 12, 2013 Obtained this glue gun for a small DIY project gluing some beans to cardboard. Followed the instructions, plugged in and started trying to glue things. Glue would not come out the front of the gun and after squeezing came out the back of the gun. I took the whole thing apart piece by piece and came to the conclusion that there was something blocking the front port of the gun that I could not clear. It feel like solid metal blocking the front which most likely indicates a manufacturing error.I went to Home Depot and purchased a simple glue gun for $10 more than the cost of this one (~ $17 total) and it worked perfectly from day one through the completion of my project. Also, it was slightly larger than this one and was more comfortable to use.I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere for your needs. Pop Gun February 5, 2013 I Normally don't write bad reviews, but my little glue gun lasted about 10 hrs of use, over the last week and then made a little pop ...then died :( | 5% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
