I've had it since the 7th of January (bought it New Years Eve), and I love it. I'm thinking about putting a new GPU in it and more RAM (I'd need to get new version of windows to). My old keyboard gave out that day, and the mouse and keyboard that come with it are extraordinarily good. Its wi-fi USB adapter that comes with it works well. I use an Ethernet for my main computer, so I just used the adapter for this to lessen the trouble. It doesn't work to well at far ranges, but it works great nearby or just a floor up or down. Don't buy this as a gaming desktop, unless you have a good GPU and optional extra ram for it. That said, it is a great performance computer. At this time, you can upgrade it to Windows 10 for free if you have internet. Again, it is a good computer for productivity. The only thing that I would do if I had extra money, is buy a little bit more RAM. It handles tasks well, but can get pretty slow with many things running. I know this is a CPU Core situation, but the RAM can also help immensely. Very good value.

High Performance, Low Price! It's just what I needed. Last year, I bought the same computer for my wife.She totally loves it. So it was time for mine to be replaced, and here I am again..Big, and powerful, it came out of the well-packaged carton, plugged it in and it did its' thing,automatically activating Windows 7, and then updating. After connecting up my printer,and loading my backed up programs, this computer has not stumbled once. Thumbs up!No disappointments here!

This company is awesome! I would definitely recommend this company to anybody. I purchased this computer and it came exactly as advertised. I mean all the specs were the as they stated on amazon - 3 GB Ram, Dual Core 3.4Ghz processor (each core is 3.4Ghz). - I did have a problem with the computer when it arrived though. Within the first 24 hours of use, I started getting the dreaded blue screen of death (also known as a memory dump) and it was very frequent. After speaking with My Refurbished PC, they helped me figure out that 1 stick of ram was bad once it was removed, all the problems were gone. They even sent me out 2 new sticks of ram to make up for me so now my computer is even faster!

The first PC I ever had was built by a local computer place and for the past six years or more, it has been an XP that I could never update and gradually only got worse, no matter how I tried to make it work better. Finally, I had it taken back [been completely disabled with a crippling disease for over ten years], only to find the "mother-board" needed exchanging and the cost to fix and upgrade it to a Windows 7 would be almost $300!I had already looked for a desktop on Amazon and surprisingly found this offer by JSM Computers. The price for this well refurbished Dell Optiplex 745 with its many consistent ratings of 4 out of 5 stars, settled my choice without question, and I quickly ordered one, praying it was truly "Heaven-sent" for me!It came, two weeks ahead of the projected delivery date, which already had me anticipating results with JSM that would be exceptional. As I carefully unpacked it, I looked for scratches or dents on the case and it looked surprisingly new! Since this is my first "Dell", I had to look online to find the start button [my low lite room didn't help]. But once I understood the Dell better and changed its security to no longer prevent me from accessing my isp email, etc., it has been GREAT!! I really like this computer. It runs so nice, and quiet. Its quickness is a huge relief! It even blends in color-wise with my printer and Windows 7 laptop. Thank you, so much, JSM Computers and Amazon. I couldn't be more satisfied with a desktop and a computer, really. Hopefully, it will give me "years of service". It was definitely worth the price to me!!! Having a PC like this is a life-line to especially one, who means more than the world to me.If I may, lately I've ordered different things from Amazon and their offers and service are very accommodating.

My Purchase from Computerworld Ent.and Amazon was the best decision I ever could have made. After reading Negative review after Negative review on Refurbished Computers I was at a stand still. Then I found Computerworld Ent. After much research I made the purchase. It's really aggravating that all the new computers come with Windows 8 and the horrible UEIF BIOS. I won't go into more details but just say that I'm so glad that I can still buy a PC with the standard BIOS and that can run Win7. They did a great job of refurbishing the computer and I was extremely pleased that they didn't load it up with crapware. Furthermore, it came with Microsoft Essentials instead of the Norton or McAfee "virusware", and Open Office. A very good deal for the price and I'm very satisfied.

I am well pleased with the Dell computer. I have installed Windows 10. I appreciate that the size of it is smaller and doesn't take up much room on my desk

Bought it for my husband for Christmas and he is thrilled with the computer. It is easy for him to use and he is very excited to own now his first ever home computer (not a refurbished). Dell has always been my choice of computer and I have recieved 2 degrees with my Dell computers. We will most likely continue to use Dell. Thank you.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a home computer. We already had a monitor and wireless mouse and keyboard, but it would have been perfectly usable with the wired mouse and keyboard

This unit is working as expected so far. Does have a problem with restarting but I believe it is because AVG Anti-virus is restarting to get rid of problems.AVG free is what we use. We also added CC Clean which is free and speeded up the CPU and cleans up the register.The unit is a Windows 7 and is as fast as a 7 can get. Office works fine. This unit is being used.daily in a office

Advertised as an Optiplex 745 Pentium D 3.4 MHz. What was delivered was an Optiplex 755 Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.83 MHz. This is actually an upgrade over the advertised system, so no complaints there. Came with 3 Gig of memory as advertised, but one of the modules failed after about two days. Purchased 2 GB of memory for about $10 from a Google supplier and upgraded to 4 Gig onboard memory. Machine has run just fine since then. Considering that for ~$75 + shipping, I got a pretty decent machine that does what I want, I have no complaints. [Note that I am pretty familiar with computer hardware / software issues, so debugging was not difficult. In the hands of someone who was not used to this type of machine behavior, it would have been useless hardware.]

I've waited to review this because I wanted to really use it before commenting. My company's IT guy suggested I find a computer with Windows 7 rather that Windows 8 and after some searching, I decided a refurbished model was the way to go. I only use this computer for emails, Facebook and personal documents. This purchase replaced a computer that was about 10 years old and running XP. It arrived securely bubble wrapped and packed, no concern about damage. It set up easily. I called the customer service number to ask a question and they returned my call within an hour and didn't make me feel like an idiot. I am pleased with this purchase.

I was hesitant to buy a pre owned computer. I paid $200 and am very pleased, as it came with windows 7 and basically what you would buy at a store except at $700. The case obviously looked a little old but it was pre owned. The instructions were very easy to follow to setup and the features of the cpu are nice. The specs are very good, fast web browsing and the best part about this computer is that it didn't come pre loaded with junk. Stores provide computers with anti spam trials, almost malware. This computer came with the bare minimum basics, so I got to pick whatever products I wanted. I like that it came with 4 USB ports in the back and another 2 in the front. The DVD drive is good too it can burn cd's. Overall, I am so happy I got this pre owned computer on a budget. You can't even tell it was pre owned. I would recommend getting this if you are like me and refuse to get windows 8 and still love desktops.

Needed a computer for our Headquarters and without spending a fortune on a BIG BANG computer we bought this one and WOW were we surprised how good it was for the monies. Functions perfectly and is running now doing basic word processing and accounting software - just what we wanted.

I was very happy when I received my items in only 3 business days. Unfortunately, the ad is a little mis-leading. It's not a 3.4GHz processor, it's a core duo at 1.8GHz. If I wasn't running online gaming applications, the computer would have been fantastic, but with the lacking video card and incorrect processor even minecraft isn't a possibility. But I repeat, fantastic, inexpensive buy if you're just doing work. Comes with essentially nothing installed except the basic necessities, which i LOVE. I'm so tired of computers in the market coming with software you never use but have to pay for. Company was easy to talk to and tried to educate me. Would deal with again, despite the confusion.

good price, features are decent. I wish there were some USB ports on front - or more USB ports in general. There are only 4. It works well though. I'm pleased.

I bought one of these towers a few months ago as a media center for a friend. I had read some of the reviews of this machine on amazon, saying that the machine said it was a "faulty copy of windows 7". With that knowledge, I took out my shared copy of windows 7 (completely leagal by the way), and tried to install a fresh copy on win7 (mainly to get rid of the bloat ware on the PC). To my surprise, I found out that the disk drive was faulty, and would not install an operating system. I have had this problem with pc's before, so I had an alternative disk drive that I can use. Another thing customers should be aware of is the windows 7 disk it came with, was only a recovery disk. not a clean install.Over all, it is not a terrible unit. I mean, what do you want for a refurbished computer for 80 bucks. That is why I rated it 3 rather then 2, because I know what I am doing, and the problems I experienced are elementary. For a new comer, I understand how this is an issue, but you have to remember, this is a refurbished computer. Not all things on it are going to be perfect.

bought 2 of these for relative, worked very well till the hard drive went out in one of them, but they sent me a new one, I just had to find someone to put it in, other one still going strong, this was within the 1 year warranty period,

As others have stated here, the specs are not accurate for what is listed. They listed a 3.0 Ghz pentium D dual core with an 80 gig hard drive and 4 gigs of ram, and I got a 2.0 Ghz core 2 duo with a 130 gig hard drive with 4 gigs of ram. It's not bad, it seems pretty quick and in good overall shape, I just wish the listing was accurate. However for the price, seems ok.

Hard drive died and company replaced. However, this unit was originally set up in a business mufti- linked computer system and I ended up making many changes to facilitate unit to work as a stand alone. Had many programs that were supposed to work with the installed windows 7 but were marginal. Same programs on a stand alone PC had no problems. Finally got everything to work but it took quite some time. Will not ever purchase another refurbished processor. The company was great in supporting the initial problems.

WHEN I RECIEVED THE FIRST TOWER IT WAS THE WRONG ONE AND WHEN I CALLED REASON WAS LACK OF HELP.I THEN WAITED FOR THE SECOND TOWER TO FIND OUT IT WAS ALSO VERY SCRATCHED AND HAD NO SOUND. CALLED COMPANY AND ON CALL TECH GOT SOUND REPAIRED AND GAVE ME 4 MONTH WARRANTY ON TOWER FOR ALL THE SCRATCHES.THE SCRATCHES DIDNT BOTHER ME AS MUCH AS IT DID MY HUSBAND I WANTED IT TO WORK WELL.FINALLY IT DOES WORK TO MY EXPECTATIONS.

Mine from Craving Savings came with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit installed. No discs. So I attempted to make my own Windows Recovery discs, and discovered the optical drive would read and write to CD, but DVD was read-only. Contacted seller who is mailing (not UPS) me a replacement optical drive. No diskette drive (asked by another customer). Dell Optiplex 755 not 745. 700 GB hard drive not 160 GB. CPU Intel Core 2 4300 @ 1.80 GHz not 3.4 GHz. Dell keyboard and wired mouse included.

Just so you know- the windows 7 installed isn't genuine according to microsoft

Large - and very heavy - received in working condition - shows alot of wear and tear on case - you get what you pay for.

If you just need a basic computer that does stuff like word processing and light internet usage, this is probably fine. Otherwise, spend another $100 or $200 bucks and get something better. The OS is slow and has begun to give me errors about a non-verified version of Windows 7 being installed. It's also impossible to add more RAM to the unit I bought, so I can't really speed it up at all on my own. I thought this would be a good machine to get me by until I could get something better, but it's been nothing but a slow, steady decline since I bought it, and I'm not even playing games or anything.

This review is 8 months after origninal purchase. My intent was to buy a used computer with windows 7 since I had heard alot of negative feedback about windows 8. And I just use my computer for basic use.. ie the internet, email, etc. So far this particular computer has failed to boot up two times. And periodacally it has trouble uploading web pages and emails. And in general the performance has slowed a good bit. My last desktop computer lasted 13 years with no problems. I certainly did not expect to have problems 8 months after one has been refurbished. Maybe all so called "microsoft certified refurbishers" are not as good as they claim.

Be warned: Do not try to purchase this as any kind of upgradable graphics machine!Note: I wanted to give this 1 star because it is not meeting my needs. However, that would be disingenuous because if someone wants this machine exactly as it is for very basic operations, it would suite their needs swimmingly and would likely garner a 4 or 5 star review.If you are an extremely basic user who simply wants to do very basic casual gaming (i.e. solitaire) or business functions like spreadsheets and word processing, you're fine with this machine.However, if you are any kind of advanced user that wants a relatively decent machine that you can upgrade. This is *NOT* the machine for you.I wanted a home computer to do some graphic design work on. But after having loaded all my software and whatnot, I've discovered that the graphics card can't keep up. A $30 graphics card would. However, there is no (insert your expletive of choice here) graphic card slot. In fact, despite having the bays in the exterior chassis, the motherboard doesn't have any card expansion slots of any kind. So, I hope all of your peripherals are USB.Also, FYI, there is a total of 1 slot for RAM. So, if you want to upgrade your memory, you'll need to pull the current single card and replace it with a beefier one.Also, it has been a nightmare trying to get it to work with a non-VGA KVM. I wanted to use it with a DVI KVM and the HDMI-to-DVI adapter that I chose was supposed to be bi-directional but I have not gotten the HDMI port to work with a monitor. I have not tried to plug it into my TV to see if the HDMI port is busted. I just haven't had the heart to try.So, just be careful when you buy this machine, that you want to use it as-is and not have any real hope of much of anything about it.I really, really, *REALLY* wish that the seller had provided images of the motherboard so buyers would be aware.

I purchased this knowing it would be a refurbished computer and I had only intended to use it to stream exercise videos. The only software I installed was to allow it to connect wirelessly to my home network. This computer worked for about 2 weeks and now crashes every time I try to start it. I get an error message that the copy of Windows is not genuine. It makes a lot of noise and has a lot of vibration. I had low expectations to begin with and was STILL disappointed.

Purchased this to play music and photos. Cd Rom Drive quit in 4 days. Software was labeled fraud my Microsoft and it did not work properly. Customer Service was only late at night. Customer Service wanted you to spend hours trouble shooting their machine for them. Customer service sent a replacement hard drive with "tested software". It did not work. Customer Service agreed to pay all shipping and for total refund.

Buy a new computer. All I had was trouble with this refurbished junk. A true waste of money.

We bought this and had it sent to a friend. The first one some how did not get delivered. The second would not boot up. The installed " windows 7 " operating system had to be re installed. It cost 80.00 to get it working as it should. Guess you get what you pay for on this one

Ever since I received it there's been something wrong. I had to send it back and get another comp. at my own cost (48.00) Then the second one was acting up so I took it into a comp. repair shop (another 50.00) Jubitrade is a bad company to sell junk like this.

I got this thing from Ezbuycafe what a piece of junk. It's going back. The 3.5 floppy door is brock out,The fan is hitting something inside. I get 3-4 pop-ups on top of one anotherIt id loaded with spy ware and melware. I have worked 2 days on this. I am sick of it. I am trying to do the work they should have done. My melware program found over 100 objects that don't belong there. I'm tured of trying to do there work. Yes they put on win 7 and that's all.

very slow

Something wrong with pre-loaded windows 7 or memory. Would not install a variety of programs including the Dell Support and Dell Diagnostics software. Kept locking up when downloading/installing. Dell support was absolutely no help, they would only help if it was hardware related. But I could pay for software technical support if I waited for 1/2 hour (due to heavy call volume) to talk to someone at Dell that may be able to help ! A new computer and you have wait a half hour on the phone and then have to pay Dell to have a support representative find out what's wrong. After wasting 3 hours I gave up. Thanks Amazon Prime for the ability for me to send it back and for me not having to spend any more time and money to get a new computer working.

I just purchased this tower and got it today.The tower itself is small. DON'T BUY THIS!The keyboard is quite flimsy. Also, the problem for this one is that two keys that I know of so far are switched. When I type shift+2, I get ", not @. When I type shift+', I get @. The two are switched and it is really annoying to have to retrain my muscle memory.I have tried to contact customer servcie to replace the keyboard, but there is not a button to click for that. The only thing I can do is return. It seems to me that a company as large as Amazon would have a better setup, where you can choose either "Return" or "Replacement". I have ordered so much from Amazon and will probably continue to do so, but I am annoyed not only with the keyboard but the process of trying to get a replacement instead of returning something.UPDATE:Just connected my printer and used a disc to do it; it made a terrible sound. I'm wondering if I've got me a lemon. I just got this computer TODAY. Brand new. I am hoping customer service will help me, but I have to say I don't think I can recommend this product. Spend more and get something that is tried and tested.

Sent it back. Something was wrong in the memory, Unit ran like it was running on an old Win 3.11 machine. Wiped out the OS and reinstalled from the ISO and it still crawled....I moved on. Amazon as always was lightening fast. I am a loyal user of Prime, well worth the $99 a year charged.(Don't get a big head Amazon and raise the rates)
