My wife uses them to operate a portable fan at her work station. These batteries are holding their charge for an acceptable time period. No problems.
Great quality and reasonably long lasting power
May 4, 2017
These rechargeable batteries last long and is easy to recharge. I have been using them for a few weeks in my portable lamps and flash lights, and find the convenience of cordless lighting so nice for detailed close up work.
These are great..

These are great.... I play a lot of video games and these hold a charge longer than any other I've tried.... and I've been using them for about 1.5 years
A GREAT INVESTMENT

HOW TO CHOOSE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERYSince rechargeable battles have an enviromental impact with disposal, you want to buy the ones that work the best and lasting the longest. The best rechargable battery I have used (and I have been using rechargeable batteries for over a decade), are NIMH. THese batteries have the greatest advantages and the few disadvantages (as detailed below). My choce is base on 3 basic principles: Capacity, performance and self-discharge rate.Capacity is measure in mAh - think of this as the gas tank in your car. The higher the mAh, the bigger the "tank" and the longer the battery will work.Performance is a measure of ability to last in energy guzzling devices such as gaming consoles and digital cameras. Performance of NIMH batteries is nearly double that of the usuable disposable alkaline battery. This is similar to the need for high-octane gas in high performance cars.Self-discharge rate is how fast a fully charged battery loses its power ("leaky" gas tank). There are 2 types of NIMH batteries, LSD (low self-dischage) and non LSD. he LSD NIMH batteries will retain 75% of their charge for a year or longer. Non-LSD NIMH batteries lose about 15% of their charge in a month. Since I mostly use rechargeable batteries is "battery eating devices" and rarely store my batteries for more than a month, I use the non-LSD version.so now you have the information to look at the different paramenter of NIMH batteries and determine the best value for your battery usage. In my own experience, many LSD NIMH batteries have not performed as well as regular NIMH batteries. So I prefer the regular NIMH type. Brand is also important. I find energizer brand to be high quality, long lasting and reasonable priced.
Great batteries, holding a great charge after 18 months.
May 4, 2016
I've been using these batteries for over a year and a half now, and they're still going strong. I've got them in remotes, clocks, and flashlights, and they continue to recharge time and time again. They also still hold their charge for what seems like the same amount of time as on the day I bought them. No problems, no dead units, so far so great!
Great for video game controllers!
January 3, 2016
Great batteries for a great price! I use these mostly for my XBOX and Wii controllers. I always have 4 in the charger and just swap them out whenever they run out of power. So far they seem to be keeping the same charge after many uses. These are a much better option then buying disposable batteries and helps keep those nasty chemicals out of landfills!

The SUPERMAN of rechargeable batteries
September 13, 2017
These batteries are amazing, I received two 4 packs months ago unpacked the first 4 pack and put them in my camera. I take a lot of pictures as an eBay seller and I have yet to recharge the first 4 and have not yet unwrapped the second 4 pack. These are without a doubt the best rechargeable batteries I have ever used and I would recommend them without hesitation.
Don't buy single use batteries ever again! These are FANTASTIC!
June 22, 2017
Been using these for probably about a year now and they still work great! They last longer than I would have predicted between charges...way better than the rechargeable batteries of yesteryear. I have also bought these in AAA and those are equally effective and awesome. I use these in a battery operated string of lights that i have set up on a 6 hour timer. They usually last for about a month (about 180 working hours) before needing to be recharged. I also use them in any remote controls we have. Really can't say enough good things about these! If you want to keep batteries out of the landfill then these will do the trick!
Very pleased.
June 12, 2017
Work amazing. We charge them in our Energizer NiMh battery charger and works just fine. We have had that charger and several Energizer NiMh re-chargables of various sizes for a whole, and these AA 2000mAh hold up just as well as our Energizer ones, for less money!
Great rechargeable batteries
March 25, 2017
Pretty good batteries, i use them for my Xbox 1 controller. The only downside there is, is that they immediately die in the controller with no warning. My energizer batteries give me a warning about 5-10 minutes before they die. They work great for the price!
Great value and green.
September 27, 2016
For the price ov an 8-pack of Duracells or similar, I have 4 batteries that will last for years. I have some of the AAAs I bought a looooooong time ago and they're going strong. They've been through dozens of charge cycles and no issues so I bought these too. Great value. And they're greener than throwing away worn out batteries all the time. It's a win-win. Even if you're not into the environment.
Amazon basics brand items are brand name quality at affordable pricing.
June 5, 2016
I have been buying Amazon basics Rechargable Batteries for years and they are now my first choice when shopping for batteries. We have an Xbox One as well as an Xbox 360, WII, and WII U that all have multiple controllers that take AA batteries. It is far more convenient to swap in new batteries and put the old ones on a charger rather than having to hook up the controller with a play and charge kit or wait for the controllers to charge. I wish that the PS4 controllers had the option to use AA batteries because they run out very quickly and It seems like we have to charge the controllers every day or two which involves plugging them into the console with a 3 ft long tiny delicate micro USB cable that doesn't seem very kid proof. The Amazon Basics AA rechargeable batteries usually last around 1 week in the Xbox controllers and they get used alot everyday. We have used both the black and the white Batteries and they both work great. The old black ones have worked for a few years before we started to notice that they weren't holding a charge as long and would need charged twice a week but I think that is pretty good especially for the price. I refuse to buy NON rechargeable batteries anymore and personally I think they should be outlawed because all they do is fill up the landfills.I have bought Amazon basics brand Tablet chargers, Batteries, HDMI cables and more and I trust in their quality.

Good for light duty applications
October 5, 2017
I bought these because I thought they would be true D cells, being sold as Energizer batteries. I found they were the lightweight variety, which can be had at a much lower price at HF store, and are essentially AA batteries in a D battery size shell. They are 2500 mAh at 1.25 V whereas alkaline D cells are 12000-18000 mAh at 1.5 V. I bought them in a hurry, as we were facing an impending hurricane, and D cells were scarce to non-existent in the stores. Fortunately, they functioned in my Maglites, and I take responsibility for not noting their output carefully. They are fine for my purpose, but just note that they will not last as long as an alkaline battery, and rechargeable D cells can be had with higher mAh output. I believe all rechargeable D cells are 1.25 V, however.

They're rechargeable batteries. They recharge and hold it well.
Good but recharge often
July 15, 2017
Good quality, but seem to need recharges more often than my Eneloops.
Good batteries
June 23, 2017
So far, so good.... I haven't used these batteries long, but they were highly rated. I thought the size would keep me from using them in some of my remotes... not so... They fit fine
Pretty good rechargeables.
December 6, 2015
As far as rechargeable go, these are darn good. The only thing I can complain about is that I find that every brand of rechargeable battery I have tried does not last as long as a fesh set of nonchargeable. Duracell or Eveready Akaline Batteries in the same device.
Works as Stated
November 1, 2013
We continually purchase additional Energizer rechargeable batteries. Simply doesn't make sense/cents not to do so. By watching the prices (as they do fluctuate), we typically buy them at a fairly good and discounted price. By doing this, we also help in a small way, to keep additional and potentially toxic chemicals out of the environment.

"Frustration-free" packaging isn't actually frustration free
November 5, 2017
The batteries themselves work perfectly fine and coming precharged is a nice bonus. The only issue I had with this was the packaging. The batteries came in a "frustration-free" packaging that wasn't entirely frustration free. Instead of having the box sealed with an adhesive paper, it was sealed with something that was a but elastic. Given that I didn't have a knife or keys on me when trying to open the package, it took quite some time since the seal would just stretch whenever I tried to pry it open.
Great value
August 9, 2017
I got these for an on-camera flash because the set was recommended by The Sweet Home or The Wirecutter- not sure which. At any rate, I trust both and these have been great for me. Easy to use, and they charge well and hold the charge for as long as any other batteries in a flash. I'm very happy wth them.
Bought them for my cheap solar landscape lights
June 19, 2017
Great batteries. Not sure if the mah is really what they say, but I can tell you this...I replaced all my cheap solar landscape light batteries with these and now they stay lighted all night long instead of just 4 or 5 hours.
Tend to be sized big.
February 28, 2017
These batteries tend to be sized at the top of the AA size spec. They can cause issues with electronics that aren't sized for the whole AA allowed size range. Otherwise good quality at a great price.
Decent quality and a great price
September 14, 2016
Hard to say how well these batteries stack up against other brands of rechargeables, but I haven't noticed significant differences in battery life or battery reliability. Some batteries go bad after a few charges. That's happened to me with several brands, including the big names, and these Amazon branded batteries. I'd order them again, given their competitive price.
Great batteries, very wasteful "basic" packaging
September 13, 2016
These are batteries at a very good price and they work.My only complaint is around the "AmazonBasics" brand. I bought AmazonBasic because I am starting to feel bad about the amount of waste I produce in the form of shipping boxes, padding, product packaging, and everything else from my Amazon Prime subscription. I thought AmazonBasic would have made me feel better. It didn't.The idea is that the packaging is basic and hassle free. I needed a knife to open the box because of the tape sealing it and the box, was about 10x larger than it needed to be for 8 tiny batteries in two different shrink-wrapped packages inside. There was at least 2 inches of padding on either side and probably about that much above and below, along with a separate piece of cardboard to house the batteries inside the packaging. To me, AmazonBasic would have been 8 batteries in plastic in the shipping box.So, I am taking away one star not because of a defect with the product per se, but with the wasteful packaging.

I'm sure these batteries are fine, and they were a great buy compared to the others. However... the package is all in Spanish! Hopefully there's nothing important I need to know. Many packages are bilingual, but not this one.
Low voltage
August 7, 2017
These are only 1.2 volts. They are not strong enough to run some things. I have a night vision scope that takes 4 batteries and these will not operate the night vision or allow me to program the scope settings.

July 31, 2017
I have used these batteries in the past and they work quite well. However they are suppose to be pre-charged and out of the three packages of 8 that I purchased all were dead. They are suppose to hold a charged up to a year. I wondered how old these batteries are and there are no date codes on them or the packages they came in. I hope they last the full five years as stated.
Not a terribly long charge
June 17, 2017
Not a terribly long charge. Our light-up baby bouncer lasts 3-5 days depending on use. In the baby swing, it lasts maybe two or three hours? We only use them as back-ups when our longer lasting batteries are charging.
OK batteries - buy by price; they're all pretty much the same.
June 7, 2017
They are as good as any other rechargeable battery from what I can tell so far. But they were supposed to come fully charged; they were not. They had to be charged before use.
Not what it seams!
April 25, 2011
This is still a good battery but it only has half the mAh of the ones I have, which means it doens't last near as long. I should have read the fine print!

I bought these to replace my walkie talkies batteries but... they won't charge while in the walkies charger. Might have to buy actual charger for the batteries themselves.
A little larger than standard AAs
December 9, 2015
I can't say much for their use time, though I imagine it is substantial. My main issue with these, however, is that they are somewhat larger than standard AA batteries. While this might not always be a problem, I own at least one item that was not designed to comfortably hold batteries larger than the standard, so these get stuck inside, and I've already had to use tweezers to remove them. I have yet to decide if I will even keep these, as I fear I might damage them or something else in the process of trying to remove them when necessary. I imagine not many products that require AA batteries will have this problem though, so it still could be a safe bet.
Good but variable
August 17, 2015
Amazon Basics. I have a lot of these. I have a lot of better ones also. There can be as much as 200mah difference between two batteries, so I mark them and match in whatever I am using. For critical work (professional photography flash) I use better batteries.
Verdict is still out on these.
February 24, 2014
I bought some under-cabinet LED lighting that requires 3 AAA batteries each. I bought an 8 pack of these. The batteries die after 3 nights of use with an average run time of 4 hours each night. LED's are not supposed to be a heavy drain on power, so unclear if this is the norm, bad light construction or the batteries are just not potent enough for longer run times. They take about 6 hours to recharge which is normal.I'm keeping them, but won't be using these under-cabinet lights very much which is fine. The "project" was an inexpensive nice idea, but it did not meet my expectations. They will come in handy though for black-outs since these are the low discharge type batteries, and will maintain their charge over a very long period of idle time.My advice? Make sure the batteries are sufficient for your particular needs as they are a slightly lower output than a typical alkaline battery.

3 out of 4 are good, but that's BAD
September 17, 2017
I bought four D-cells to use in an LED closet light. Three of the batteries appear to work fine but one of them discharges quickly and takes about 3 times longer to recharge. I have found no way to contact the seller to report the issue, so it looks like i'm stuck. Guess I'll be shopping for another brand soon.
About 1/3 the battery life of standard D cells
June 16, 2017
Haven't tried rechargeable batteries for over 20 years due to the lack of power and short battery life that was synonymous with rechargeable. I felt like there was a resurgence of rechargeable batteries on the shelves in stores in the last few years so decided to try again. Nope, they haven't changed a bit.I tested the batteries with identical LED candles, that require 2 D cell batteries, set to a timer to run for the same amount of time. The rechargeable lasted less than a week. I recharged the rechargeable D cells, swapped which candle got the rechargeables and tested again, with the same week-old standard batteries. Again, less than a week from the rechargeables. The standard batteries are still going, now past their third week.I've got a handful of these candles around the house but it was pricey to keep them going on a regular basis. I was hoping the rechargeable would mean I could let them use the timer like they're supposed to and I could enjoy them every night instead of just on special days when I felt like turning them all on. But, the rechargeable batteries won't even make it through two weekends without a charge.

These are 800mAh Batteries - Beware!
July 4, 2016
The product description is incorrect - these are 800mAh, NOT 2300mAh. So I am disappointed and feel that I had been mislead into buying this product over others. If the product was correctly described then there are better value alternatives.
Not strong enough
January 5, 2016
Bought these to power a Hot Wheels race track which takes a good bit of power (the regular alkaline D cells get used up in about a week). Unfortunately, these rechargeables don't have the output the power the racetrack, the cars can't make it all the way around. If you're buying for something which needs a lot of power I would skip these.
Not Good, But Amazon Refund Was Easy
December 12, 2014
I have to agree with the other reviewers who've said these batteries are weak. They just do not last. I ordered two packs for use in my son's baby swing, he's 4 months old. Other batteries lasted several days, including some other rechargeable batteries. However, these just flat out were terrible. They lasted about half a day. So I recharged them again and they still only lasted about a day. So they do function, but they just don't seem to have the punch that others do. Now I didn't do any kind of voltage test or whatever, so I can't offer any scientific data. But my observation is that they are not as effective as normal alkaline D cell batteries or other D cell rechargeables. I'd pass on them. However, I will add that Amazon was VERY gracious with their refund policy on these. I requested a return refund and they simply refunded my full order cost without requiring me to return them. So good deal.

Charge doesn't last long at all. You'd be better off either buying the upgrade or buying basic batteries from the dollar store.
Nothing to get super crazy about...
May 5, 2017
These AAA batteries seemed to work fine until the 3rd charging attempt. One of the batteries was leaking pretty badly (pics included)Also, they did not hold their charge for very long...these batteries were in firetv remotes which don't use a lot of power. The batteries were drained in under 2 months.
I'd recommend Panasonic Enlope over these
February 28, 2017
I bought these because they a little cheaper than Panasonic Enlope. They did not come pre-charged unlike Enlope. They don't seem to hold charges as well either. I have clock that tick just fine with Enlope. But it loses a few minutes a day when I swap Enlope with one of these batteries after charging them.
Not what I was hoping for
July 8, 2016
So I got these back in November '15 they seems to work well at first - now I am noticing that the charge the hold is not quite right (per my volt meter) and I have 2 that won't register on the charger or even take a charge for that matter. Disappointing - Amazon won't take them back either or exchange the 2 bad ones like I said not what I was hoping for. I gave them 2 stars because they worked well for the first 90 days.
Not reliable batteries
August 20, 2015
I ordered these batteries to replace the battery in an outdoor solar table light. The first battery I put in was very weak and didn't light up the light. The second one didn't do much better. I decided to charge one of the batteries and then use it. This lasted for about 2 weeks. It appeared it didn't take much of a charge from the sun. I finally put all 4 batteries in the recharger overnight. Now I can't get the solar light to work at all. Don't know whether it is the battery of the light. But bottom line was that the batteries weren't charged when I got them.
Not as good as advertised
July 6, 2015
These don't live up to the promises made on the page. Why? They don't hold a charge and the charge they do hold is not long lasting compared to other brands and non-rechargeable batteries. Aren't these supposed to be better?

September 18, 2017
I purchased these batteries in conjunction with the Energizer Recharge Pro Charger. As these batteries came precharged, I used them in my electronic device. After draining the batteries, I attempted to recharge them in the Pro Charger, but the charger indicates a 'bad battery'. I tested the charger to see if it charged other Energizer batteries (both AAA and AA) and the charger worked. Energizer needs to have better quality assurance in their battery products.
Cheap trash that's way overpriced.
July 3, 2017
Cheap trash. You are better off with almost anything else. Energizer took some AA batteries and wrapped them up in a D size shell. You are better off burning your money than buying this bullcrap.
BAD BATTERIES-DO NOT BUY!

These 2 batteries used in a HAP75 SMOKE GRABBER SMOKELESS ASHTRAY. BATTERIES DISCHARGED IN 4 HOURS! DURACELL ALKALINE BATTERIES LASTED 150 HOURS. BUYING EBL. Also batteries got hot in EBL CHARGER.

The batteries charges fine the first time, the second time I just got a blinking/ beeping X saying they would not charge. I feel like I wasted my money.
These Batteries Suck !!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 23, 2015
So I use a lot of D batteries. D batteries are expensive so I foolishly invested in 16+ of these and some AAs as well and two chargers. THESE BATTERIES WILL NOT HOLD A FULL CHARGE OVERNIGHT.In use they last me for my purposes for 4-5 days. Regular Alkalines lasted in the same application for 3+ weeks !!!As many here have said in their reviews, these batteries are a rip off.It takes a big man to admit he got conned by a little pink bunny rabbit who keeps going and going.
I am surprised Energizer sells such a poor product. These Energizers are only 2500mAH
January 6, 2015
These batteries hold a charge very poorly. The charge is spent very quickly. The charge is a fraction of alkaline D batteries. I was using alkalines in a baby swing and they would last about a month. After going through 3 sets I decided to get rechargeables. These Energizers last only 2 days in the baby swing. Not worth the price. I am surprised Energizer sells such a poor product. These Energizers are only 2500mAH. There are others that are 10000mAH. I am going to try those.

Disappointment....
November 9, 2017
I bought these back in July and I use them in a radio in my mail truck. I have another set of Amazon Basic AA batteries that I bought as well. The only difference on this purchase is that these came precharged. I have used them off and on as I need them and when not in use they are on my battery charger. I had noticed that these don't play as long as the other AA's that came without being precharged. So after I put them in newly charged in my radio this morning, and 3 hours later they died, well I wanted to return them. But of course my return time frame expired in August. So just a note to prospective buyers......maybe don't get the precharged ones.
Poorly made or designed, or I got a bum lot.
October 4, 2017
I purchased these rechargable batteries to replace my portable home phone remote batteries as they were starting to last just a day or two before discharging completely.Unfortunately these rechargable batteries are as bad as, if not worse than, the batteries that I have had for two years that originally came with my phones. Not worth the purchase price.
Amazon Rechargeable Batteries
September 11, 2017
There are only 8 batteries in this package and they aren't cheap. I found 2 out of 8 not charging at all and dead. Won't be buying these again.
Don't last
June 9, 2017
Very poor quality. Charge doesn't last long. I've had less than 2 months and 4 batteries don't work anymore, confirmed with a battery tester. Buy the better brands.

Won't hold charge. Many others mentioned this but I thought I would still give it a try. Wish I would not have purchased.
It is much more better comparing to performance
March 5, 2017
