Five Star Reviews: | 65% I think acne is a really tricky thing that messes with your mind and self confidence because I used this peel once a week for 5 June 23, 2016 First of all my husband and I share an amazon account, but I am a female using this haha.Okay so it does sting, yes you need to have the neutralizer at the ready and take it off immediately if it starts to really burn. I put it on, wait a minute, rinse with water, and then apply the neutralizer (I forgot if its baking soda or baking powder...I just reach for the orange box). I found that if I apply the neutralizer right away it bubbles and stings a lot so I rinse with water first. I think acne is a really tricky thing that messes with your mind and self confidence because I used this peel once a week for 5 weeks and didn't notice a visible difference but I'm glad I took before and after pictures because there really was actually a huge difference and I just didn't notice because it was so gradual. My after picture is much better, but its not perfect and I do still get some breakouts. Even still, it is wayyyy better and this is honestly one of my holy grail products that I will never stop using.I did accidentally get some on the delicate skin below my eye once and it caused burning and peeling that was quite painful and lasted a couple days. Just be smart and don't try to leave it on too long, and you will be fine. Really Works! May 30, 2016 This always works for me and keeps my skin clear and unlined I used this again a few days ago and while shopping at Dress Barn a lady who works there asked me if I had done something to my face because my skin was beautiful and I looked so young! I have used this product for years and it keeps my skin line and age spot free! Of course I keep out of the sun and wear 50 spf sunscreen. I also exercise and eat well so this product is the cherry on top. It does not peel like people expect it to but that does not mean its not working. People expect miracles after a few peels but it takes time and regular use as part of a skin care regimen. I saw a difference the first time I used it and I use it on my arms and legs so that I can wear sleeveless tops and skirts. I turn 50 this week and I will say that no one believes it! Please people wear sunsceen as it makes a huge difference in your skin and is required if you use peels. If you are a sunbather this will undo the benefit of the peels as sun is the worst thing for skin if you want to remain wrinkle and age spot free! Surprising results in 2 weeks. October 20, 2015 Works well. Diluted it for my face. Practiced first 50% watered down, etc until I got it down. Did a perfect job for little money. Used with ASDM Hyarlauric serum. Results in two weeks & surprised at how good it really is. Have plenty leftover for more treatments, too. I was very careful not to just use full strength, tested twice to see how long to leave it on (I believe it was 3 minutes). Keep away from eyes, Do it near sink and remember it's acid (it burns the skin). Rinse rinse rinse when you're done. Then I applied Hyaluronic serum twice a day and over that ASDM peptide serum . Note the photos. I'm 67 years old and didn't expect results at all (just wanted to "clean up" a bit for a wedding). Can't wait to see what a second treatment brings! EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE ... I believe you should start with a lower percentage if your a beginner please because you can damage your skin really bad and do your homework first on the peels because different peel for different reasons. I couldn't find anything with a stronger LA percentage and after a bit of research I decided to go for it. This product works great! I am a mixed race girl with medium brown skin. I bought this product for skin lightening and acne scar correction.The directions are very clear and concise. Other than the product you just need cotton balls and some baking soda on stand by. After you wash your face as usual, apply this, let sit 2 mins, wash off, apply your toner and moisturizer. Keep baking soda on standby in case it starts to burn (it should barely tingle, but not burn). This is best to use at night and make sure you wear sun screen in the morning. Make sure you follow the directions exactly. This product is acid; it can and will burn if misused.Your skin will peel for a few days. It's supposed to do that. This is an exfoliating agent that is often used in spa level skin peels. Have a good loofa/scrubber to help get rid of that dead skin quickly. You'll feel like a snake shedding his old dirty skin to get to that beautiful, healthy, bright layer underneath. Make sure to moisturize every night and wear sun screen every day.**update**I've used this product 4 times now over the past few weeks and have reached my goal. No acne scars at all, and about a tone light well blended to my neck. There is A LOT left over. I'm going to save it incase I have another bad break out. It was well worth the money. Very strong May 19, 2017 This is very strong please be careful make sure you have a neutralizer on hand Great product but beware of strength July 18, 2016 First of I was pleased that after usps lost my package I was sent a new one right away. Not for sensitive or dry skin, but it definitely is great for oily skin like mine. Pay attention to the sensation if it's tingling good if it's burning take it off with baking soda solution. I caused some peeling because I used it on a dry patch of skin around my mouth. I suggest drinking lots of water the day before you use this so your skin is by dehydrated. Certain parts of my skin are more oily and needed the product to be on for a minute longer than other areas. Skin is soft and I'm hoping I'm see some acne improvement in a few weeks. It WORKS February 2, 2016 This stuff works .. but it is very potent ! I suggest that you water it down and don't use it at full strength, for people who are NOT used to using glycolic peels....because I ended up giving myself a second degree burn on the skin underneath my chin and it burnt the crevices in between my nostrils , it also chemically burned my pimples to where they were pink spots and it took about 4 to 5 days and allot of triple antibiotic ointment to finally start seeing a little bit of a difference but it does work and I do recommend this product if you're looking to bring out your youthful skin before a big event ,just don't use full strength ... I'm begging you !!...and use baking soda as a neutralizer and make sure you have a good moisturizer and triple antibiotic ointment on hand. Still waiting for results -- guess it will take me months of regular treatments November 5, 2015 So far so good, but I wonder about the 70% strength. I left this on my face for over 10 minutes and got no peeling at all. I know there's at least some glycolic acid in it because a small cut on my hand burned sharply when the liquid flowed into it. I will continue to use once every 7 days in hopes of stimulating collagen production and reducing age spots. But after 3 weeks of treatments, I see no change at all. This is a course of treatment that I am guessing will takes months rather than weeks. If you're new to at-home glycolic (and other) acid peels, I recommend doing a lot of reading before you get started. I take all the precautions before the peel and conscientiously use sunscreen after. And my facial skin is tough from years of milder AHA use. Hope you have great results! Used cotton balls to apply and had baking soda mix in case of harsh reaction.I was expecting a harsher reaction and was surprised at how mild it was. However I do have extremely dry skin on my upper arms and so far have used only twice so would need a few more treatments to get more noticeable results.First treatment: I did notice smoother skin!I did try on my face and had positive results however did experience a burning sensation after a few minutes so I rinsed with baking soda mix to soothe irritation. And will have to say the baking soda concoction did some great exfoliating as well!I am experiencing some dry skin around my nose from this that I'm hoping ceases or peels soon so be wary!But No burns which I was most afraid of!Several treatments needed to tell so will update in the future ... It doesn't come with instructions not for all skin types March 25, 2016 not for my skin, even when watered down to 3-5% burns my skin, so it flakes for a week.Sensitive skin people do not use glycolic acid period. on area where the skin is thin like face need to dilute March 18, 2016 it work but you need to be careful how you use. used it on my knees and elbow about 3 times and have cleared up the area. need to use little amount and rub with cotton balls. I repeated the process once a week for 3 week sand it did work. you can do it how often on an area until you get the desired tone you want. cannot put all at once and hope to work especially if the area is very dark. on area where the skin is thin like face need to dilute. I used a bit of water. but one need to be careful how you use. Okay Product February 26, 2016 It works a little, makes my laugh lines less noticeable but doesn't do a thing for my scars. My skin does feel softer after using it, that's about it.
