No more age spots!
August 31, 2016
I have never used this product before, but am so glad I bought it! I am in my early 50's and have noticed some age spots creeping in....now I notice them going away after the second application. I will always use this!
Not as bad as everyone's saying
July 2, 2015
I have to say either I have a high pain tolerance or the rest of the users have very very sensitive skin. I have not ever had sensitive skin but around the age of 16 my dermatologist put me on Acutance. It's a very strong prescription to cure acne. It has made my skin more senitive so I was hesitant to try this peel. I have to say I have not one complaint! I was able to leave the peel on for only 2 minutes the first time I used it. But after a month now I am able to keep it on my face for 9minutes. A little tip-keep yourself busy while the peel is on-It helps distract from the stinging. Also there's only one moisturizer I would recommend using after you wash off the peel: Simple Replenishing Moisturizer.
Great for age spots and skin dullness
April 6, 2015
Great for age spots and skin dullness. I've done two treatments and can see improvement already. They say six treatments is the magic number but you have to make sure you use a sun block of 30 and space out the time in between peels by roughly 3 weeks to achieve good results. I don't like how oily sun block makes my skin but I can tell it'll be worth it in the long run.
works like a charm
March 30, 2015
This thing save my face. I had those huge cystic pimples all over my face. My face was swollen and I've seen dermatologist after dermatologist with very slow results, until my sister told me about acid peel. I leave it for 4-7 minutes and neutralized it with baking soda then moisturize with unprocessed coconut oil. works like a charm.
It works maaaan and quick too!!!!!
January 16, 2015
I love this I used it on my entire body and it really peels your skin , it works fastest on your neck . It does stings but stinking can be mild to severe depending on where on your body you use it . But the stinging is bearable and follow the directions in the packaging! It's also good to use a scrub on your skin to speed up the peeling I love it . I'm going to get three more bottles
AMAZING
April 30, 2013
Let me start off by saying that I'm new to glycolic peels. I'm 17 and suffer from mild acne. I started using Proactiv and it worked amazing! But when the acne was gone, they left behind dark pigment. This glycolic acid peel lightened all my spots from dark purple to red! I've only done one peel and I am loving it. Shipping was quite fast. Delivered on the day it said it would arrive. The directions are very clear and they even include two gauze and a sample of their microdermabrasion crystals which I haven't tried yet. I'll probably use that later when I run out of Proactiv. Can't wait to see the results after a few more peels. It does sting a bit, but it's not so bad you cry out in pain. The worst part would probably be the rinsing part with baking soda. You'll hear a sizzling sound and it will burn for a few seconds. Use COOL water and PAT dry. Use a oil free moisturizer afterwards and the redness should fade after a half hour. Start with 30 seconds for the first peel if you're new and add 30 seconds to every peel you do :P

Definitely works!
March 9, 2017
Works great. I followed instructions to the "T" until I could see if it was going to be too strong for my skin. I would completely recommend it. I have only used it twice, and I am using it over a 6 week period, I can already see results. Can't wait to see what my skin will look like at the end of the course.
... Chemical Peel has the most irritating sting that feels like a really bad itch
July 15, 2016
Although the 30% Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel has the most irritating sting that feels like a really bad itch, I love the results after the dead skin starts to peel away. I use the peel when I know I'm going to be in the house the next day to avoid sun exposure but I never have extremely noticeable peeling so a down time isn't really needed. I recommend the use of a moisturizer with SPF 30 after using the peel.
Awesome and works
April 25, 2015
Works very well! I don't really have pimples but I have dark spots left behind from acne and it works like wonders. Ive used most of the bottle already and have seen a significant difference so far. I'm stepping it up to 40% next. Just be patient and know what you're doing, follow directions(except waiting the 2 or 3 weeks or whatever it is, I just use every week and it's fine for me but I have oily skin, just be careful and dont use more than once a week, and eventually your problems will most likely be resolved.
Delivery was great..
January 14, 2015
Delivery was great... i bought this product Dec. 2014 ,i used it once a week for 6 weeks and the results were great , my skin looks a lot better and my acne breakouts are not as bad as they used to , my skin did not peel at all but i had professional peelings before done at a spa and my skin did not peel and the acids were much stronger , so i guess thats just normal and doesnt mean that the peels arent working, so i recomend this product to any one who has had a peeling done before , a lot cheaper with same great results of a professional peel. BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE USING THIS OR ANY OTHER CHEMICAL PEEL , YOU CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR SKIN .
After doing a lot of research I tried this Glycolic peel and to me utter surprise got wonderful results!
December 6, 2014
I'm in my mid twenties. Recently after moving to a different city due to work, stress, and the new weather my skin started having a surge of breakouts! I tried so many products and nothing helped. The pimples left nasty scars and no matter how I tried they wouldn't fade away. After doing a lot of research I tried this Glycolic peel and to my utter surprise got wonderful results! I'm usually very cautious about trying new things but I couldn't be more glad that I gave Glycolic peel a shot. Within a week my pimples started going down and the stubborn scars are fading so quickly. Also my skin feels well rested and has a beautiful glow!I would use this one every 10 days, and I'm very careful about following the proper instructions. If used very religiously it will give you great results. Hope it helps whoever is suffering from sudden unexpected breakouts and scars.
First time at home peel
January 31, 2014
I purchased this product after years of paying tons of money to have it done at the salon. I read and watched numerous videos and tutorials first before attempting it. I put it on using a thin gauze to place it on my face. I started feeling it tingle within 2 min of using it. by 5-6 min, it was a light burn nothing terrible. By 8-10 I was fanning my face to ease the burn. ( still not unbearable)I used baking soda with water and splashed that all over to stop the peel process, then used a cold compress until my face was no longer tingling. I did not wash my face later that night or the next morning, I put a light moisturizer on before bed and that was it.The next day, I thought it hadn't worked because my face didn't seem any tighter or minimal pore size etc. ( i was upset)That night I washed my face with my normal face wash and scrubbed gently using a washcloth, I saw flakes of dead skin all in the washcloth. I got out of the shower to see, that it had indeed worked, all the grossness during the day was my layer of dead skin. I washed my face and discovered a brand new face, it literally took five years off!I'm a little pink today, my friend said I look like I have been in the sun. I'm also still peeling a little on my forehead and chin. but I'm so happy with the results, I couldn't have asked for a better product. I would not recommend leaving it on for longer than 10 min. I have been getting peels regularly for years, so i'm used to them. If this is your first time, I would do no more than 5 min.Great stuff would highly recommend.

Currently a cosmetology student and needed more fan brushes for facials and these work great I bought three ! They're soft, easy to clean, and a nice size to reach the temples of the face without getting product in a clients hair.
Super Soft
May 6, 2017
I love the way this feels against my skin...I do chemical peels every week, and this is by far the best brush ever. It's not only soft, but it spreads the peel evenly across my face! I've tried a few other brushes, but this is the best by far.

works well as a peel, but it is very strong. try a on a skin patch first to see how your skin will react to it. Good product.
Happy with it
September 20, 2015
I've used the product a few times so far. I can't say that I've seen a great deal of difference. I bought it in the hopes it would help with fine lines and dark spots. So far I haven't seen any difference in those. My skin does feel softer and smoother though. And it certainly dries up any pimples I have! I haven't experienced any trouble with this. It DOES sting, and it DOES sting MORE when you rinse it with baking soda. But it's not too bad. I experience a little redness afterward. I like to use rosehip seed oil on my skin afterwards, because it's very soothing and healing. I've noticed a slight peeling in some areas for a day or two afterward- nothing crazy, similar to a mild sunburn. I wash with a soothing calendula cleanser and a little ground oatmeal to help with the peeling. That seems to work great. I do really love the free sample of microdermabrasion crystals it came with. Those work very well and make me look quite polished. I'm going to keep using it to see if those fine lines and dark spots disappear, but overall I'm happy with the product, especially for the price!
Helped fade my acne scars
January 24, 2015
I have been using this product to fade acne scarring. I took a selfie of my face prior to my skin journey and have used it to gage my progress. The comparison of that photo to now show I'm getting the results I wanted...fading marks. I started off applying the product for the least suggest time and I'm have been careful not to use it too often. The peels along with moisturizers have been very helpful in clearing up my skin.
yeah so definitely follow directions and run a patch test...
November 18, 2014
I'm a man, I don't need [this product???] to follow directions, I'm going to do the full 10 minute course right off the bat.My face was red for 2 days like I was sunburt, and is still recovering. It did help remove some dead skin.I don't take no for an answer so I'll be using it again.
Full three week run down.
July 30, 2014
I used it on a Saturday night for the first time, there was a good bit of stinging and burning but a fan helped with this issue, the next day I broke out horribly but within a few days the acne was pretty much gone.Week two another Saturday night, after leaving this on for a minute longer then before the stinging was the worst when actually neutralizing the peel, it was almost unbearable compared to the simple burn and sting of the peel. But no break out this time.Week three, Saturday night and I look sunburned red and my skin is really dry, removing was worse then ever and another break out was a result. But through all of the negatives, my face looks ALOT clearer then before, the acne scars of the past are gone and my face looks like its glowing. This does what its supposed to do, so if you can stand some discomfort then I would recommend using this.
Skin Obsession 40% Glycolic
October 6, 2013
I've used this twice so far and it seems to work well. First time, I used it for 3 minutes, second time I used it for 5 1/2 minutes. Only area on my face that got really red was corners of mouth and on each side of nostril which is what the instructions point out are a very sensitive area - so next time I will stay away from these areas & apply Vaseline to them. I find the results to be mild - peeling was minimal. Next time I use it, I'll leave on for 6 1/2- 7 minutes. I found applying it with the gauze pad the best way but wore plastic gloves so my hands wouldn't get glycolic acid on them. I probably will purchase the 70% because I have areas on my chin that I would like to correct. The 40% is good for a basic once a week peel. In the past, I've had a medium peel done and deep laser peel on my face. Also, I regularly use retinol .10% and 30% glycolic cream so my skin is used to these type of treatments.

Item as described. It is very powerful. Follow instructions or it will burn and literally peel off your skin. I left mine way too long and it took almost 4) months to heal. It was bad. I had burn marks on my chin which are all healed now but the side of my lips still have a dark hue from the burn.
Very Impressive

Don't let the absence of scent fool you. This stuff works. I've done peels in the past so I left this on for about 10 minutes. My face was red for a couple of days. I think I'll only leave it 3-5 minutes as this is a strong peel. I was told I look younger and they asked me if I had work done. I highly recommend this product. Just remember to use a lot of moisturiser as it dries the skin for a few days. It's worth it in the end. My skin is smooth and firm. Also, wrinkles are less noticable.
Good stuff!!! Safe for sensitive and pale skin.
March 20, 2015
This is my first time using any peel. I have sensitive skin, pretty pale and was scared but I finally used it. I like the outcome so far! My skin was "baby butt smooth" the first time, some small dark spots from breaking out were faded a lot and a few dark freckles were gone after the third peel. I kept it on my face for no longer than three minutes. It definitely changes the way my skin feels and looks. The sting for me was no worse than wiping it with rubbing alcohol. Using aloe or non-pore clogging moisturizer leaves it so refreshing. I recommend it!
Inexpensive and convenient!
October 15, 2014
I had only every tried a 2 % glycolic treatment before so I never experienced a true peel. Warning: this is very addictive - mainly because it is much less expensive than going to a salon to get it done and it's quite convenient!I have moderate adult acne (the deep cystic kind) and it you pick at your blemishes or have spots that are inflamed, don't use this until they have healed. I made this mistake and it makes them swell up to an even larger size - and then they turn a dark purple / bloodyish color. After using this over 5 times now, I can say that it does make a big difference in my skin tone and texture for about a week afterwards, but then once the peeling has completing stopped, I noticed an onslaught of blackheads. If you are prone to blackheads, products that cause irritation, such as this one, will probably just make it worse. Even though I know that I will have to go 'digging for blackheads' a week or so after a treatment, I still love to do it because it makes your skin feel so fresh and renewed right afterwards.Oh, this seller sends you a small packet of microdermabrasion crystals to use a couple weeks after a peel and I loved it! It's a very different exfoliation experience - leaves your face feeling very smooth!

Decent brush. Bristle quality is great but the metal at the edge of the brush is flexible on one side (not sure if it's a defect) and scratched me a few times before I figured out how to maneuver it across my face more easily.
Great for applying face masks
May 2, 2016
This is a perfect brush for applying face masks. I use it weekly for my Amazonian/Bentonite clay masks and it has held up great. The bristles are soft but strong - it gives you just enough control to apply masks exactly where you want without having to goop up your hands.

Works pretty well
June 7, 2015
It does burn, after a few times it's not so bad. I don't peel much from it though. I know it could put on more layers and leave it on longer but I get pretty red and it hurts and my skin gets pretty irritated and sort of burned looking from the time I do so I don't want to push it. The peeling I see is tiny and minimal. I've had a peel by a pro before though and didn't peel at all. They tell each time to push the time and layers of it further.I'm not sure I'd want stronger unless I know I could hide from the public for a week..

great product-slow shipping
March 21, 2014
Works great-I've had problem skin my whole life, I've tried nearly every topical treatment out there and at least ten different pills. The problem with those for me was I had to use the cream or take the pill every day, and I forget things like that really easily. I've been doing this about once a week and my skin isn't perfect, but it's improved. I'm sure if I had mostly blackheads they'd all be gone, but cystic acne like mine is a little more stubborn. Still, after only two uses I can see improvement, so I'm impressed.I gave it three stars because it arrived long after the expected arrival dates. I tracked the package online and it said "in transit" for almost two weeks, from Arizona to Georgia. Frankly, I'm not sure how that's possible, unless this company ships with the pony express, so I think there must have been some mistake with the postal service and it didn't get processed like it should have, so it probably wasn't the company's fault. I'll order it again when I run out and hope the shipping problem fixes itself.
Chest acne
February 16, 2014
I've suffered with really bad acne between my breasts and above them and I don't know why because I'm one of the cleanest people you'll ever meet. I can never wear anything low-cut or else I'll look like a freak. I also randomly get acne on my shoulders sometimes. I have bad acne scars between my breasts and I decided to give this a try since I'm sick of being embarrassed of my skin. This is my second week using it and my purple/reddish scars are starting to clear up! The only problem is I put some of this on my few pimples on my chest and shoulders and boy was that a mistake. It made them red and huge and worse than my skin had ever looked before. So beware if you have sensitive skin like me only use this for acne scars. Yes it does sting quite a bit when you put this on your skin, but it's definitely bearable. I would recommend for acne scars!

I have used this product three times now since receiving it. The first time I left it on for 3-minutes, the second time for 4-minutes, and the third time for 5-minutes. it burns like heck so it's very scary the longer you leave it on as the pain-intensity gets worse by the minute. But I have say that I have yet to see any results. I have several discolorations from acne from when I was younger that have not lightened at all, plus a few aged-spots and freckles that have not changed a bit. My skin does not peel and only seems to get red for a few hours after application. I'm not sure whether to leave in on longer (which, as I said is very scary) or get a stronger percentage solution. Maybe someone here can advise?

Still feeling it out. I am easing my way into using this product to see how my skin reacts to it. The first time I left it for 3 minutes, second time 5 minutes and this last time the full 10. The first 2 applications were great. This last time at the full 10 mins my face seemed very irritated and it broke out. I'm personally going to stick to a 5 min max time.
Good Place to Start
March 28, 2013
I am 46 and have melasma, acne scarring, and dark spots from sun damage. The 30% Glycolic Acid peel was a good place to start. Could only leave on for 3 minutes the first time. Now I leave on for 10 minutes with multiple layers. No frosting and really no peeling. Light enough for me to use once a week. However, results are not exciting even after 4 peels. This peel is considered a very light peel and I need a deeper peel. The company ships quickly and provides all the information you need to get started. I will be moving on to a 15% TCA peel from Skin Obsessions.

Not for all skin types... be warned
November 13, 2013
Be very careful if you have sensitive/fair skin... I am a redhead, and I ordered this to get rid of a couple of red acne marks from when I was younger that bothered me... I had used other skin treatments before (I am a licensed esthetician and familiar with treatments.) I followed the directions to the letter, and left it on my skin for 4 minutes, and I think I may have ruined my face for years. It has been about a month since I used it, I have marks and breakouts all over my face, I hate looking in the mirror. I hope one day I can afford to go to a dermatologist to fix my face but for now it is ruined. I used to think I was handsome and now I hate my face. This may be a perfectly fine product for some people with tougher skin but I never would have bought it, and now after doing some research on how I might alleviate/fix it, I read horror stories all over the internet from people who ruined their faces with glycolic acid. If you have sensitive skin--this is absolutely not for you.
Didn't work for me..
November 8, 2013
This didn't really do anything for me. I've used peels before, and this is the strongest. Compared to the TCA peel this just made my skin feel very itchy where as the TCA didn't. Both peels did nothing for my skin so next, I may try lactic or saliycylic acid. I say try it because we all don't have the same skin types. The itchiness soon after I out it on. Luckily it didn't make me break out or anything.
a bit skeptical...
July 10, 2012
I have been battling with cystic acne since I was 13, and nothing worked so I've decided to use this. I've used this product three times over the past few months. The first time I used it, I experienced the burning/stinging sensation, but it wasn't unbearable. Afterwards, I experienced only slight peeling, not too drastic. After 3-4 weeks, I used it again the second time, but not much happened. After the third time, some parts of my face seem to be slightly lighter, and the acne scars on my forehead seem to be gradually going away. However, my cheeks are now covered with dry and red spots, including the parts of my face that doesn't have acne scars. I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen. I thought this product was supposed to diminish my acne scars and spots, not create more. Anyone else have this same problem?

Be careful this is really strong. I left it on for too long and 'burned' my face twice - which turned into a big scab on my chin a couple times.I would recommend start with 2 or 3 minutes at most, and work up very gradually. I toasted my face with 5 minutes, and that was after doing a few peels with less time beforehand.

I really wasn't sure what to expect with this product, first time used it, left on for 3 minutes, minor burning, minimum reddness. But no flaking, peeling. Tried it again a few weeks later, left it on longer same thing pretty much, maybe a spot here or there of flaking, that's it. I know it says I really won't see anything, but I feel it nothing for me either way.

Only reason I brought this was for the positive reviews. When I first brought it I applied it on a dark patch on my leg. Didn't burn , felt like nothing. I later then applied it on my face instead and it started to burn. Few minutes after, my face had scabs. The peeling process lasted about three days, I then broke out. My face is currently scab free, but it doesn't look any different then it did before I started using it. I am going to be using it again, but I don't see it making any progress. I would return if I still could.
So not impressed
May 13, 2014
I used this product once and it actually gave me brake outs, painful ones too. No to mention that I didn’t peel at all.The other thing that I didn’t like is that the consistency is really water like, I am used to a more gel like consistency from another more expensive peel I got before. So because of this “watery” consistency you have to really be careful when applying this product so it won’t end up in your eyes, mouth, clothing, etc.I will not buy again.

Not worth the effort

I really didn't like this brush. Yes it conserved some product that would be wasted in a cotton pad, ( the only reason I gave it a 2 star) but the brush did not maintain its fanned shape once solution was applied to it. The brush became irregular in shape making even / precise application difficult. I tried it twice and will go back to a cotton pad- yes I experience a little more waste, but feel more in control during application rather than having bristles going in all directions.

Too Big
April 23, 2017
There's no need for a brush this big, it simply wastes product. Get the smallest size, which may require a few extra strokes/seconds but beats a Q-tip anytime
It's okay but won't buy again

Didn't really fork for me. Spots seems to still be the same after using for months. Maybe I need a higher percentage. My skin color favors Kelly Rowland. Wanted it to lighten up the dark spots on 2 of my toes.

Doesn't even peel! I followed the directions step by step and nothing it's like it's just water in here! Would not recommended! I have used peels in the past and this is not how they work... Not sure if mine was defective or what but I had high hopes for nothing

I don't think I used it right, I tried to use the acid on my dark spots on my stomach and it only made my skin fleshy and pink looking still to this day. I would not recommend..
Waste of money !!!

It didn't work for me . Maybe I should've got a high tee percentage . I got no burning , no frosting , and did everything the directions suggested .

I would suggested buying from a doctor. I had a severe allergic reaction that caused my face to swell and break out in hives. I followed to directions carefully. It's worth it to get a PROFESSIONAL chemical peel that is made ORGANIC. People have much better results. I also ended up with some pretty bad BURNS. BURNS AND HIVES not a nice mix I managed to get ride of the hives fairly quickly but it's been several days and my bones are still there it has improved somewhat but I'm hoping they go away soon. Approach with caution I looked way worse than I started out and still do. I emailed the company asking if this was a normal reaction ( as instructioned by my doctor) not like I would sue or even return the product but haven't even gotten a bad response . Go with a company you can trust, this one has horrible customer service and won't even give my complaint a second thought, clearly not worth the response to them. Hope this review deters you away from making the same mistake I did. Splurge on a professional and you will end up with results that are worth the price and your skin won't get damaged.
it was a disappointment and a waste of $$
March 12, 2016
Applied as directed and followed directions carefully. Even though the described stinging sensation occurred at the the time of application, there was absolutely no "peeling or renewal" affect to the treated facial area. Even with a second reapplication several days later the result was the same.Maybe a stronger percentage would have different results. As far as this particular product, it was a disappointment and a waste of $$.
My face hasn't broken out this badly since I was a teenager
March 3, 2015
I have just started researching all of the different types of skin care products. I had never heard of people doing their own chemical peels and started thinking I was the only one who wasn't doing them. So, I really investigated all the different types and strengths. Since I use a glycolic acid face soap I thought this strength would work well for me. The first time I used it I left it on for 5 minutes and saw no results whatsoever. The next time I was going to leave it on for 8 minutes but at the 7 minute mark I had to stop. I thought the skin on my face was going to burn off. It was extremely painful and I'm not a wimp. The next day my face was all red and swollen. In fact, one eye was nearly swollen shut. After 2 days the swelling hadn't reduced much so I started taking some prednisone that I'd had left over from poison ivy. After about a week the swelling and most of the redness was gone and I started flaking. That lasted for several days. I knew that all of this could happen although I didn't know it would be so extreme with only a 2 minute time increase. I have decided that I must not have splashed enough of the baking soda water on my face even though I must have done it correctly the first time.Even after all that I was going to try it again but then my face started breaking out and I mean really breaking out. Then I started getting the ones that are big lumps under the skin that are really red and very painful. I haven't broken out like that in years. After 2 weeks I continued breaking out and finally called my dermatologist who has given me doxycycline. My face is now starting to clear up but the worst part is that I don't see any difference in my skin. I should have gotten some benefit from the whole experience. Maybe you have to use it several times before seeing results but it's not worth the breakouts that require oral medication.

It takes forever to get product onto brush and it doesn't spread well due to thin bristles. I would have returned it but I already used it. I used a square cotton pad and it worked much better. Don't spend the $9 on it.

March 29, 2013
I agree with the other reviewer - the product quality is terrible. The brush and ferrule were not even glued to the dowel/handle. They came apart right out of the shipping bag. The brush quality is sub-par also. I would pass on this.
