I bought these brushes with the intention of using them sometimes, but it turns out I use these for my every day makeup. However, I don't use all of them, but most of them are very useful, and just the brushes I needed. These were actually the first actually makeup brushes I bought for myself and so far I have no complaints!

Wow. I'm surprised!

All 24 brushes (although it's a stretch to call those with a sponge tip a "brush") are individually wrapped and the larger brushes have an additional sleeve to keep them protected. They come in a case that at first confused me because it closely resembles a chef's knife kit. I didn't order knives!

The case that they come packed in smells plasticky at first, but after a few days, the odor dissipates.

As for the brushes - the ones I've used so far work perfectly. I am not a makeup professional and it may take me forever to eventually use all of them, but at this point I'm very satisfied with the way they look, perform, and in having a great way to store them.

A deserved five stars.

I've had these brushes for a couple months now and I have been pleasantly surprised at their quality, especially given the price. My set came as pictured, with light beige handles printed with each brushes' use and the phrase "MAKEUP FOR YOU." The phrase makes me think they are meant to pass as a dupe/knock off of Makeup Forever brushes? Regardless, the quality is beyond what I expected for 12 dollars. I have washed them four times now and none of the brushes have fallen apart. Only two of the brushes have shed noticeably, two of the fluffier eyeshadow brushes. The sizing is that of any common brush set. The large fan brush is huge and the foundation brush was slightly larger than I expected. I didn't receive any doubles and there were 24 pieces as specified. My bag didn't have any bad smell, though if it had I probably would've just washed it. It's pretty nice and even has 2 extra slots that I use for a couple miscellaneous brushes. Almost all of the brushes are now my first choice when doing my makeup. That being said, I don't really use the foundation brush or concealer brush, though that's mostly because I prefer my smaller Bare Minerals brushes for that. I am so glad I made this purchase! I definitely recommend going for it. If you hate them, it was only twelve dollars - but if you loved them, you probably saved yourself at least 20 dollars by not buying a more expensive set.

I have worked as a professional make up artest on and off over the years. I needed a new set because my brushes where 10 years old. This set is really great quality for an excellent price.

Was afraid these were going to by cheaply made, but actually a pretty nice set. Literally a brush for everything!

The brushes work wonderfully, I haven't had a single hair fall out. They're not dense or anything, so, they aren't really sufficient in applying powder foundation, but they're pretty good for contour and highlight. There's certainly quite a few of the same brushes, so, if you're lazy af like I am, it's great to get your whole face done without having to wash them so much. I wish the angled brush was a bit shorter, but, that's only because I have glasses and need to bring the mirror fairly close to see what I'm doing. Anyway, minor qualms.

Ok ladies this is a great inexpensive brush kit!! The brushes are very sturdy and the brushes themselves are of good quality. They do not shed at all. It comes with everything you need to perfect your make up look. I was impressed. There was a strong plastic odor when opening the package but it went away in less than 30 seconds. Each brush was sealed with plastic and each brush has a plastic cover to keep your brushes clean. The smell is the new plastic. THAT is all. The case is very pretty and sturdy. Nice magnetic snaps to keep your brushes safe. I was impressed. This kit is soo inexpensive and I put them next to some of my expensive brushes and no difference!! I am a make up enthusiast and also worked for a high end make up company so I do know what I am talking about :-). I honestly thought these were just going to be ok! I am pleasantly surprised!! The case is a very pretty metallic purple. The case also covers the top of your brushes along with the other plastic cover. They do arrange the brushes in order from foundation brush down to the eye brushes.The handles are wood and painted a metallic red. No uneven bristles in my kit. The brushes that need to be dense are and the ones that need to be soft are. I love these brushes and am extremely happy about the quality!! You have everything in here you need to make the perfect eye blend whatever its in this pretty kit. You don't need to spend a fortune on brushes!! This kit will exceed your expectations. I am kinda upset that I have these expensive brushes and they are exactly like these. I needed new brushes mine were done. I am thrilled with this!! I hope this helps. Please remember the smell people complain about is just new plastic!! It goes away. I do not work for this company. This is just my opinion. I am just so impressed!!

I bought these based off the great price because I was making Christmas baskets for my family. They added a cute touch! I was left with a few of the brushes and I like them too:)

I've never been a big makeup user. I maybe wear it once a month, mostly because I hate removing it at night and I'm lazy. I have never bought nor owned more than a big brush for power foundation and a little brush for eye shadow. I didn't even know they came in 16pc sets. Anyway, I've made some new promises to myself, so when the opportunity presented itself, I bought this set of brushes. I freaking adore them. My sister thinks I should have went with real hair rather than synthetic, but I'm a bit of a boycotter on animal products and prefer synthetic for that reason. I also don't use/wear make up as often as she does so I feel like it won't impact me the same way it will her. They are not only aesthetically pleasing, they're practical and easy to use. I actually recommended them and got two other friends to buy them who also adore them. The red and purple definitely fit my personal style and they're so soft and easy to use. They apply my makeup perfectly in my opinion and that's all I really need them to do. Will keep recommending them.

The cosmetic brushes are of professional quality and arranged according to use - facial brushes are in one section, brushes to apply eye make-up in the next section and so on. The storage case is well made and folds up to a small kit for traveling. I definitely recommend this product for the quality, price and convenience. The kit eliminates searching for brushes on my vanity and provides a handy way to protect and pack brushes in a small carrying case for travel.

For the price point the quality is pretty good. The travel bag is whatever, but the brushes are pretty good. Great if your just starting to branch into makeup and want some newfangled tools. I've had these for at least a year and throu multiple washes I've seen minimal shedding! Now you do get more than your paying for, but I would not compare them to higher end brushes. That being said there's nothing wrong with these!

I don't wear makeup every day, but these brushes work great when I do use them. My only complaint is that the glue on the handles is kind of cheap. The handle on one of the blush brushes actually came off after three uses. I just glued it back on, but still. For the cost and minimal usage, these brushes are a decent purchase.

At first has a chemical scent, goes away later. Some of the smaller brushes look the same but other than that it's pretty good quality especially for the price and amount of brushes.

This is a really nice set for the price. I got everything included and after having it for awhile now one one of them has broke. It is really nice if you are looking for something that gives you a lot of variety. I gave it 4 stars only because every now and then I had some problem with the brush hairs falling out while applying makeup but that probably has more to do with me not cleaning them as often as I should. Also sometimes certain brushes won't hold a lot of makeup, like when you are applying eyeshadow for example but this was easily fixed by slightly wetting the brush, which is a pretty normal practice anyways. Overall I would definitely recommend these, still using them months later

These makeup brushes are extremely versatile in use and are handy on a daily basis for makeup application. I know others have written about little hairs falling out of the tips- my experience is that there has been very little if any hair fall out on these brushes. They are very soft. Not all of the brushes are soft hairs though, others are the fine plastic ones for the smaller and more compact brushes but all the brushes get the job done

I bought these originally, back in 2013. One of my little nieces was just beginning to experiment with makeup and requested a makeup kit and brushes as part of her birthday gifts. At the time, she was turning 11, so I wanted her to get the experience of several brushes, without spending a fortune. Loved the variety of this set, the softness of the brushes for her young skin and since it was her favorite color of purple, I knew it would be well-received.She loved this gift! Her mom reported many, many happy sleepovers with her friends experimenting with makeup. She said they are perfect for younger girls and also admitted to swiping a couple of vrushes for her own use when needed. I ended up buying sets for 2 more of our nieces when they became tweens and again, these made excellent gifts.

I don't have a ton of experience with big makeup brush sets, but for my purposes (theater and other live performances), these worked great. I thought the colors might be jarring, but they actually helped me identify my stuff in the chaos that happens right before a show. My only complaint so far is that some of the brush slots don't hold the brushes very tightly- like they hold tightly to the brush in its original plastic protective wrapping, but after the first use and it's just the brush left, there's some looseness that lets the brushes get jostled. Not an issue when it's all closed up, but if the case is laying open they can get dislodged a little. Still, not enough of an issue for me to be worried :)

I got these for my daughter's birthday in December but I was so excited I couldn't wait. She loves the color and the brushes are so soft! These is a bit of a smell on the case but I'm sure once it's been out of the plastic the smell will go away. I would definitely buy this again. The colors are off from the pictures but my daughter loves them. But since the brushes we got have almost a burgundy handle and the brushes are blue to purple. The picture looks purple and the brushes are light to dark purple. Since the colors are so different we are giving them 4 stars instead of 5. But the colors are still beautiful just they are not what we ordered.

These brushes are made of the most softest material EVER! i was soo surprised when i stoke it on my face! It feels like NOTHING! They are so soft and very shiek. The packaging is wonderful; in a little purple carring case, and they dont smell like anything bad, they carry a nice/clean/fresh scent! I tried applying powder with one and it might feel like you're not applying anything but trust me it really is!! I gave it four stars because they came out smaller than what I imagined (or am used to buying), but as long as they do the job im satisfied!!! In addition its a cheap price for good stuff;)

These brushes are really soft! I do have to agree with another reviewer about the brushes not plling a great deal of color.I do prefer to use my older foundation brush, but the other brushes are soft and do not seem to shed like some brushes i have gotten. If you are used to brushes that pull a lot of pigment, it takes a bit to get used to these as they do not hold onto the powders as much as some others.Overall, i think these are a great deal! They clean easily, and once you get used to them work great!As i said, the foundation brush doesn't really work for me, as it seems to just deposit finishing powder on the top of my skin, not really blending it. I may just need to get used to it, but i will use my MAC brush for now.I have not put these to the really hot water cleaning test as of yet and hope they survive. My old eye brushes finally departed this world after years of soaking and cleaning. I am happily surprised these brushes are of such quality for the price i paid. I recommend them for anyone looking for a nice large long handled set that gives lots of options and does not break the bank!

Quality of brushes are alright. They're not bad, but they're not that great either. It's a good set for makeup beginners, like me. Some brushes were duplicates, I believe. Also the strands of some of the brushes were shedding off and were uneven.

But overall, decent quality for the price.

CONS: They stink so bad of chemicals (which i expected because I read the reviews) but you're supposed to wash before using anyways. I would say soak them for 30 mins dont just wash it to make sure all of the smell is out. I got three of the same brushes, and they look different from the rest of the brush set and theyre also shedding from the second I got them so I wont be using them.
PROS; A big plus is the big thick highlighter brush that Im so impressed and cant wait to use. The rest of the brushes look and feel good and there are about 3 sponge "brushes". Wish this came with a list of what each brush is.

Bottom Line: Get it, but dont expect for every brush to be in top shape. What I did was buy 2 different brush sets and just take the best brushes from both and got my brush starter pack.

Okay so, I'll start off with the good part. When I opened the box I was happy that there were the air balloon things in there to prevent it from messing them up anymore. Also I like the case that it's in, like some ancient little faux leather nap sack thing, it has string on it as well so you can tie it up. Now, here the bad news, (I DID BUY ONE OF THE CHEAPER OPTIONS) the "Eye Liner" brush was broken.... Majorly, it was at a 120° angle (looked like it) and I tried to bend it back, but then the metal part snapped. The brush part of it was also very messed up and just.... Ratchet looking.

I bought this set b/c I wanted good eye-shadow brushes, however my set only had one eye-shadow brush and a lot of flat concealer brushes. I like the blush brushes and the large fan brush which applies makeup nicely, but the other brushes has terrible application. For the price these brushes are decent quality but I will never repurchase. Also I am disappointed with the lack of eye-shadow brushes, which defeated the purpose of me buying this set.

Overall, I am pleased with the quality of the brushes. However, the "angled eye shadow brush" fell apart before first use. All of the bristles fell out, creating a huge mess when I first took the brush out of its slot. I will not be returning the brushes, as that particular brush isn't of much use to me, but beware of possible defective brushes.

I basically bought these brushes for the color; I find it really hard to find brushes in a pretty color I like that are also of good quality so I took a chance with these. The long story short is these aren't terrible, but for the price you might find something worthwhile in this set.The bag is a pleasant surprise albeit it's not the best quality (mine's sewn quite crooked in a few places). It's got a nice flap that covers the top of the brushes and two magnetic closures, but it's not as bright purple or as shiny as in the pictures.Most of the brushes I have no idea what to do with, and some are duplicates. The purple color of the brushes against the reddish-brown color of the handles is absolutely beautiful, which is what I bought this set for after all. They're soft but not amazingly so, and they're definitely synthetic and more on the dense and stiff side, with the exception of the fan brush and a couple of the really small brushes.There are two larger eyeshadow brushes, 2-3 smaller eyeshadow brushes, an angled brush, and three brushes of which I have no idea what their use is. I didn't notice at first, but there is no eyeshadow blending brush, which is disappointing.So yeah, all in all, some useful brushes in here of decent quality so this set might be worth your while for the price.

I really like most of brushes. However, I find the larger brushes too soft to use efficiently, and the eyebrow bristle one came off of its handle right away. I superglued it back and it's been fine. Granted, I had to do the same thing to one my my MAC brushes. Anyway, these were definitely worth the price if you aren't buying them for the bigger brushes specifically.OH, one other thing. The purple/maroon color scheme is kinda ugly IMO. But I didn't buy my brushes to show them off to anyone. But they would look much better with black handles. Also would be nice if they were labeled or numbered.

The brushes came super fast which I was happy about. However, when I first opened the package the plastic smell was overwhelming and smelt similar to a strong chemical. The brushes individually smelt the same way. Overall you get what you pay for. I think there are better brushes out there but they do the job and are cute. I was a little disappointed that one of the brushes broke even before I used it and another one had a stain on the wooden part. I would recommend washing them before hand in order to get the strong plastic smell out. I will not be using the pack it came in because it smells so bad. Not a bad purchase but would of liked something better.

i still use them today but if you get nail polish remover or any type of cleaning supply on the stem the paint will come off as if it was fresh nail polish. They are not as purple as shown they are white with purple tips. The bag for it comes apart easily. They are great brushes and have a large quantity of different ones that can be used for different things which is nice. The brushes get dirty easily but can be washed with conditioner. The silver part detaches from the stem easily but can be glued back on. In conclusion this was an okay product but can be advanced. If your looking for high quality brushes that are cheep, i would recommend looking at other sets. Though these are good starter brushes.

These brushes are really a mixed bag. On the pro side, the carrying case is well made and had two magnetic snaps that keep the brushes securely tucked away. The larger face brushes are nice and soft, and though I experienced some fallout, it wasn't as bad as soome brushes I have tried. On the con side, the eyeshadow brushes are too thin and firm and too much the same. There are no fluffier brushes for powdered shadows. The thinner, stiffer brushes are not bad for cream shadows and products like eye primers or shadow bases, cream foundations, etc. but they really struggle with powder products, even if you're just trying to pack on a thick layer of color, and don't really work that well for blending.For the price (I paid about $10), they are an ok complement to the brushes I already have and there are enough good brushes to make it worth such a little amount, but this is not the set to buy if you want one all-inclusive brush set to meet all your needs. Not a bad set to give as a gift, as long as the person receiving it already has some good, fluffy blending brushes, but if you want something more inclusive, there are some great sets for about $5 more that have more brushes, better quality, and are more encompassing of the various types of brushes for blending and shading.

They came on the day it said it would come. I'm a MUA. These are fairly good brushes, the quality isn't like the expensive professional brushes. They get the job done. I would recommend these for personal use. The case is made of cheap materials, but it seems pretty durable.

Great for a begginger. I have use better. The brushes are dense but I think their were some brushes that were just in there for fuller. I use the fan brush daily. The foundation brush I used to place conclear down. You can blend with these brushes. I would suggest this would be great as a beginner kit. Loved that it came with brush covers and a to go case. Be sure to keep your brushes clean.

I bought these about 3 years ago and I forgot to write a review on it so here it is! I loved them in the beginning, they were my first brush set buttttt they started coming apart! The handle would come off the actual brush because the glue wasn't good enough and the bristles kept falling out. I do still use some of them though!

These brushes are not as long as they look in the photo. I bought them because I liked the length of the handle but they are actually about half of that length. They are very short and the photos are very misleading. Very annoying.

I returned these brushes as the head came completely off of three brushes as I was unpacking them. I wanted to really like them as I am not a brush snob, but I do love makeup brushes! There were certainly ones in this set that I knew I would use, but some that would probably just end up sitting until just the right occasion came a long. So, if you are looking for a brush set to start out with, this is probably not the one as there is not the right ones to achieve an entire face look. The bristles were soft and the brushes themselves were fairly light weight that would have made working with them rather easy.

a couple of the brushes hairs are falling out which is annoying especially cause I'll have a bunch of hairs on my face. But overall they get the job done, def going to invest in a higher quality kit.

Not very good quality, the brushes are flimsy!

I love the cases these brushes came in, and I love that they're vegan and purple (my favorite color) but almost all of them fell off the handles within two months of purchase. I've reattached them with super glue because I love how soft the brush heads are, but it hasn't been a great fix. The eye brushes aren't great, but the powder ones are awesome and the small flat ones work well for gel eyeliner and lipstick application. These are good in a pinch, but they're not good for everyday use.

I cant comment on the quality of the brushes because it was given away as a gift. Thankfully I had 2 weeks to air out the package before christmas. The smell of the carrying case was very strong and made out entire house smell. It was terrible. I had to wash it a few times and air it out. I was close to throwing it away.

The large brushes don't do a good job of collecting and distributing make-up. I tried using them with my blush and none of the larger brushes worked well for applying the blush. The smaller eye brushes are very very compact and will collect apply the eye shadows densely to a small area. None of the eye brushes work well for applying some shadow to the whole lid.

As a former a makeup artist, I'm not a fan of these brushes. These brushes may be great for face painting, but not for applying and blending makeup.Almost all bristles have a similar feel to a concealer brush, except less forgiving. I felt most brushes were just a repeat of each other just in different sizes.The smallest is great for eye liner, and the contour blush brush works fine, but over all the brushes are a low quality. Went back to my old brushes.

2 brushes arrived broken and several more broke upon first use! I have maybe 1/2 of the set that is still usable. Unfortunately they are of poor quality. The bristles are harsh and feel like they came from a .99 cent store or swap meet! The eyeshadow brushes hurt my lids even! I will say I liked the fan brush at least. I would definitely NOT recommend this product.

Not quality brushes or bag, the brushes didn't even come labeled and we're falling apart before I even used them

It had a wired smell I couldn't stand. I think it has been made with cheap material. Not satisfied at all. I returned it.

Really bad quality. I expected atleast a bit better. It's really plastic like that It couldn't even hold the eyeshadow on.

Ok sooooooo these brushes right here! Are cute in all, but that's about it.. WAIT! the pouch that comes with the brushes is freaking adorable and travel friendly, ok back to the brushes the small ones for your eyeshadow bleed like HELL,,,,,No matter how many times you clean them. The bigger brushes are for playing dress up, I don't find these brushes useful for grown women that do medium to full coverage make-up although the color is beautiful, purple is my favorite color and that's what caught my eye. The pouch I use to store my other brushes which I love. If you already have a lot of brushes and just wanna spend money on some cute ones that might not work that good but look cute to add to your make-up collection then I say GO FOR IT!!

These are horrible. They shed & fall apart easily. They absorb product more than they distribute it on your face. The only brushes in the entire set I use are the angled eyeliner & the lash one. I bought these along with another set because I needed new brushes... Let's just say, I still need new brushes. Definitely investing in morphe or real techniques!

These are beautiful, and the cost was so low I wanted them! The bristles are very thin, hardly any on a brush. The bristles are also so soft and fine they don't hold make at all! The only brush i was able to use effectively was the eyebrow brush and after 2 weeks of using it about 4 or 5 times all the plastic bristles broke way, and I wasn't over using it nor was I aggressive with it. Cheap Cheap Cheap, in all ways. Guess that's why they say you get what you paid for, it is certainly true for this product. Don't waste your money, unless this is a gift for a child who likes to play with make up or someone just starting to use make up and wont know or care how poorly made these are.Side note, I read the reviews of how poorly made theses are and how they didn't work and I thought people were either just being dramatic or had way too high of standards for brushes, TRUST ME, that is not the case, they really suck. Do not be ignorant like I was thinking you could make them work for you. They are just as bad as people say.

hey! so, I am just graduating beauty school and I wanted to buy these for my home because they are so cute!! Well let me tell you... THEY ARE TERRIBLE. E.L.F. Has better brushes. These brushes don't pick up any makeup at all. All my makeup is high end, and I now realize why I should buy high end brushes. I threw these Away a week after I bought them. I only have the tiny ones for nail art.It's a mix of all size brushes that are just terrible. DO NOT BUY

I bought these brushes because I wanted a complete set of makeup brushes. Initially, I was attracted by the purple color but eventually decided to buy them because of the reviews and a hope that they would be good quality brushes. However, these brushes are horrible. They are so soft that makeup hardly stays on them and is super hard to apply. I would think that brushes that claim to be "professional" would actually be able to apply makeup but the only resemblance they have to professional brushes are their appearance. I love the color but in terms of function these brushes are terrible.

I got the product and i was super excited until i opened it. The white lining sew around the case wasn't even on all the way, there were bits and pieces of it hanging out every where and the purple fabric tore the first time i opened the case. The first time i used the brushes they shed like crazy and two of the heads fell off in the their first use. i honestly just threw them away I was so angry. Don't waste the money.
