I use this as an all over body moisturizer once or twice per week for dry skin. You do need to wait about 5-10 minutes for it to absorb into the skin after showering, so don't use it when you're in a hurry to get dressed (not oily after it's absorbed). However, it's worth the extra time because you'll immediately notice how hydrated your skin feels with one use. And the effect seems to last for several days without using any other products after showering. One tip - don't purchase an oil where sweet almond oil is combined with several other oils, I've found pure sweet almond oil by itself works much better.

I just logged on to purchase more of this oil and thought I'd write a review. When I get a massage, I want an organic unscented oil used . I want to know what's being absorbed by my body. I have many allergies and a chemical sensitivity, so fragrance added, chemical or natural can cause me to have a reaction. So I LOVE that this oil is pure ! It's a great moisturizer also. Good job Aura Cacia, you have a life long customer!

I purchased this to put inside my nose to combat winter dryness. It works wonders! Apply with a q-tip!

Im in love with this Organic product!! the USDA label made me trust it. Iv been using it on my face and it does not leave my skin all oily. Its great, yeah kinda pricey but I only use a few drops on my face a day and Im going to use some for my homemade lotions so it should last. This Stay at home mama is in love with it. :) Doesn't have a almond smell but I didn't expect it to because its an OIL.

A family member recommended this during pregnancy and she didn't have a single stretch mark. She was also tiny throughout her pregnancy and I think is blessed with good genes. I had a much larger baby and gained way more weight than her, but also managed to avoid them! I put this on religiously after every shower, and didn't see a single stretch mark! It has a nice light scent, absorbs nicely (it does need a few minutes) and best of all, it's all natural and organic! My mother had stretch marks due to her pregnancies so genetics did not have a part in this! Try this out, I hope it works for everyone!

This Aura Cacia Sweet Almond Oil 4 oz is really and truly a lovely oil. The texture is indescribable in it's luxury and the fragrance is a light nutty almond. I use it after every single shower because it leaves my skin protected and very soft. I ran out of the 4 ounce size that I first bought quickly. I bought that first wonderful bottle at D. M. E. Online Sales Inc. through Amazon.I ordered another 4 ounce bottle through Amazon from Red TAG sale. I like 4 ounces because it's a size that won't go stale in summer weather. Anyway, I was shocked that although the bottle and color of the oil within were the same as the first order the scent and the texture were not. I thought that there was something wrong with my nose that it should smell so bad! It's not really a rancid smell so much as a weird, unpleasant smell that the new bottle of Aura Cacia Sweet Almond Oil has...like a yucky (as opposed to nice), poisonous burnt wood smell. And, the texture was thinner, a lot less wonderful. In short, I am not using it. I called Whole Foods here in Vancouver, WA and asked if they carry Aura Cacia Sweet Almond Oil 4 oz. The girl said yes and that it sells for only 5.99. So, I guess I'm both applauding and, yet, warning about purchasing this brand of sweet almond oil, at least online. RED TAG sale sold me something not at all like what I first got from D. M. E. sales. IF you must buy online try D. M. E. online sales! I will not buy from Red Tag sale again.So, I give Aura Cacia Sweet Almond Oil itself five stars because the first bottle I got was just exquisite. I don't think the 2nd bottle reflected on the manufacturer (in Germany) but that the seller RED TAG sale likely is selling old oil or even adulterated oil.

Comparison of 3 real Aloe gels (excluding verified-by-consumerlabs.com zero-percent-actual-Aloe "Fruit of the Earth" brand which I like for reasons other than Aloe) regarding only how watery they are:-- completely watery fast drip, no gel: Aubrey Organics Pure Aloe Vera Gel-- somewhat watery slower drip, some gel: Green Leaf Naturals Aloe Vera Gel-- doesn't drip gel (but not thick gel like fake Aloe gels): Seven Mineral Aloe Vera GelYour choice.Completely watery

These are perfect for me in the summer. I get heat rashes in the crook of my arm, the back of my knee, my neck and a lot of other places where there is a crease. I keep these in the fridge and whenever a rash comes up- I wet a cotton round and just start placing them on the affected areas- works immediately to relieve the heat and the pain! Redness and itchiness goes down a lot. I also love using these after I get my eyebrows done from threading or waxing- my skin gets so red afterwards, and this helps a lot to calm it down!

I love this stuff. I have been using it for about 2 years now. It keeps my face soft and hydrated, and feels really refreshing. I use it twice a day. Once in the morning, under my makeup, and at night after washing my face. It helps to keep my oily skin under control. It is also one of the only products that I can use on my eye area that doesn't cause irritation.I have noticed other reviewers complaining about the consistency. It is liquid, not gel. If you don't want a liquid, don't purchase it. It doesn't bother me at all. I just squeeze a little into my hands and quickly put it on my face.

The closest product to the actual aloe plant. I have been using this product since it arrived and I have seen many results. I have used it morning and night. The product is recommended to be refridgerated after first use and seems to truly keep alot of it's intended effectiveness. I had a few blotches and this cleared it up in no time. I know it does work miracles for me and face. I will keep purchasing this product as the plant itself is hard to carry around when travelling. Thanks so much for being an honest solution to sunburn, chemical burn, blotches, etc... Excellent product that is as close to the plant as you can get. Keep selling and keep your high standards of success toward getting the real aloe ingredients.

Background:I am a young Afro caribbean women with hyper pigmentation, and also suffer from a combo of oily and dry skin with acne.I bought this product a while ago but just couldn't make a commitment to using it. I just recently starting using it consistently, and ohhh boy do I regret not using it all this time. Right after I was my face morning and night I use a small amount to set a good base my makeup and other products apply to my face.Honestly for me at least, aloe seems to add all the good things back to my skin. My skin is less oily AND less try, my hyper pigmentation and acne has become more settled.

I keep this in my refrigerator and whenever I burn myself in the kitchen, I put a small amount on the burn. It immediately soothes the burn and if it is a small burn, I don't have to do anything else. If it is a more intense burn, I sometimes use the aloe and then a little soaking in cold water for maybe a few minutes and then the aloe again; this solves even the more intense burn. By the next day, the burn seems to be gone and I can use my finger (the usual place I burn myself in the kitchen) again without any pain. Before I started using the aloe, I used to have to soak my finger for at least half an hour in water just to not be in pain and the next few days I would still feel where I had burnt myself.You only have to use a small amount, so don't feel concerned that the bottle is small. Yesterday my daughter came home with a sunburn on her shoulders and back and still it didn't take much to give her a nice light coat of aloe. It absorbs very quickly and although you feel like you are only putting water on (because it is a fine, clear liquid), you notice the effect of it being more than water right away. My daughter's sunburn took two separate coats about 2 hours apart to make her feel as if she didn't need anymore. She's still a bit red today, but not in pain.

I like sweet almond oil, next time i will buy the organic to compare.

Tempted to give 3 stars, but trying to be fair. First impression was that smell was unpleasant. Scent was not offensive, but disappointing. almost SLIGHTLY rancid aroma. ( However, not accusing company of selling a rancid product.) By that I mean, I was expecting an almond scent. Yes, realize that this product is organic. However, if I can buy organic almond extract for baking, imho, it can be added to make product more aroma appealing. I would not object if company added non organic almond extract, if this was the only non organic element.I applied to recent problem of dry hands. Wish that I could say that application was silky, it was not. Perhaps this is due to its organic nature. I applied in a small amount, but had to reapply another small amount to get product evenly distributed. Product did not disappear into skin, as expected, and left a somewhat oily residue, until my hands required washing, several hours later. Hang on, this is not necessarily a bad thing.....Normally, hand washing essentially strips any protective lotion that I have applied. However, three hand washings later, my hands still felt soft. I intend on using this product before sleeping at night, and will wash hands in warm water first, to assure that pores are open for optimal absorption. As for daytime use, unless it is my day off, and at home, will likely have to use only at night in warmer weather. I will update come winter, if disappointed, but feel that this product would be highly desirable in winter, at the start of one's day due to its longevity. I have already decided that come winter, if I need a touch up in mid day, to store a small amount of product in travel size container, in my purse.Company does provide the necessary dark bottle to protect from the light. However, would like to see an expiration or use by date on bottle. NOT accusing this company of any wrong doing what so ever. I just want the company to understand that the one benefit that we lack on Amazon with many of these type products not being from a major retailer, is the standards of their inventory control.

Excellent product. No smell. Leave my body and hands soft. I do not like it for cleaning makeup of my eyes.

the oil is very soothing on the skin. I was a little disappointed that it was unscented because I love the smell of almond oil and was hoping the almond scent would cut down the shea butter smell of my body butter. But the almond oil blended well in the body butter.

This is a beautiful oil! Cheap and great quality, would buy this again. The only thing is the way this bottle dispenses, isn't good. Too much of it will squirt out and therefore, wastes product.

... as others have noted, getting the amount you want into your hand isn't so easy, hence the four instead of five stars. I generally remove the cap and pour but that sometimes means wasted product. The oil is excellent for my purposes... for massaging into the skin (I use it every day on my face after the shower). The price is pretty good and if you want organic almond oil, in spite of the container issues, I highly recommend.

Seems to be working well on sunburns. It is a little more of a liquid than other gels, but I don't mind it. It's not so runny that it's hard to use. I will say I saw this cheaper at a local health food store. Several dollars cheaper, so maybe shop around.

misleading item description, there's is nothing GEL about this product, even bottle does not mention gel on it!!when i purchase something that says 'pure aloe vera Gel", i don't expect it to be a water/juice consistency, that is worthless for making homemade mascara which is what i bought it for!update: seller was quick to reply to refund request. however, i ended up deciding to keep product and use it to dilute the YL tea tree oil to make a rosacea toner....which my skin soaked up great so in the end product is not as titled (although i now see description mentions actual ingredients which i failed to notice beforehand i guess) but, it smelled okay and works well as a toner.

The consistency is very watery, like a tap water running when you squeeze it out, not sure if it supposed to be this way? I guess it does, because on the bottle it says" all natural, not thickening chemicals being added in", so I guess this is aloe vera in its natural form? ( and they are implying all the jelly like aloe vera cream I bought before all not 100% natural? LOL)but anyways it works just like any other regular aloe gel, soothing and no scents, pretty calming and it's good for troubled skin. I feel like because this one is so watery there should be no trouble using it as a regular toner, I will try it out.

Aloe vera is supposed to be great for the skin and an anti inflammatory. I bought this to use as part of a homemade face toner. I love it, I just wish I got a little more for the price.FYI, I was surprised at how liquidy this was, basically like water. I expected it to be a bit thicker, like the gel that comes directly from the plant, but it's not. It wasn't a problem for me me, but if you're looking for a product with a thick consistency, this isn't it.

I've used this to make an amazing facial moisturizer. Combine 1/4 C aloe with 1 TBSP vegetable glycerine (Frontier makes a good one) in a small glass bottle or jar. Shake to combine, then pat onto damp, clean skin. Can be worn under makeup and leaves skin incredibly soft and smooth. (Recipe from Better Basics for the Home by Annie Bond.)

This product is slowly but surely fading the scars on my arms. (scratch marks) It takes a lot longer with burn marks for some reason but you start to see results after 3 weeks or so of consecutive application. Then again the results are very minimal but i'm hoping that it will eventually fade entirely. Also I highly recommend keeping it refrigerated as the consistency is better to work with.

I bought this oil for my baby. Problem is the bottle. It's very hard to push the liquid out and when I can, a lot of oil comes out at once. Not so good for use to little by little...

This oil is odorless. I bought it thinking it would smell like sweet almond but it doesn't. You could probably add your favorite fragrance essential oil to this to create your own blend.

This oil fills my expectations for making my skin soft, but I wasdisapppointed that it didn't have more of an almond smell. That wasthe main reason that I purchased it. I wouldn't purchase it again.

This sweet almond oil makes a pretty awesome leave-in conditioner for my hair. And blended with some shea butter, it makes the best moisturizer for my feet! However, it's really hard with this bottle to get just a few drops out. You have to apply a lot of pressure and then you get a big squirt. If there was some way to control the amount of product you squeeze out, I would give this five stars.

This is a really light oil, but I don't use this on my skin. The Sweet Almond oil is a part of a mixture of organic essential oils for my hair. This concoction of shea butter, coconut oil and other oils has really revived my natural coils.

It's too watery, and it runs down my skin instead of staying where I put it. The manufacturer adds water to it. Why? Actual aloe juice is not this watery. It also must be refrigerated, and I found the cap quickly gets gummed up with a brown crust. I've switched to another product.

Don't know what to use this for but its very nice and cool. I leave it in my fridge and just pop it on when i have to leave the house feeling dry looking. Just make sure to label it "not food" if you leave it in the fridge

The title aloe vera gel is very misleading. The bottle I received was actually not in gel form, but liquid water form. I was hoping for gel because its easier to apply. The product still helped my scar heal, but I felt like I wasted a lot of product because it was so runny.

This went rancid super fast! It truly is pure, so make sure you refrigerate it. Unfortunately, it shipped over a period of a couple days in the hot sun, so be aware of the conditions in which you order this product. I did add it to a few different products, and the one with more preserving natural ingredients is doing well. I used it in a facial moisturizer that began to smell like vinegar after two weeks. I opened the bottle in the refrigerator of what was left of this product and noticed a brown ring around the bottom of the bottle. So, while natural is awesome, I opted to go with a different product that has a tiny preservative instead for future use.

Was hoping for more of a gel texture to make hand sanitizer with my girl scouts. It was super runny and when we rubbed it onto our skin, it felt a little slimy and it took a while to dry but was still sticky. I ended up purchasing some gel at a drug store for the project. I'm sure it would have been nice had I needed it for something else.

It's a bit too watery and smells like plastic. Also it feels like it takes forever for my skin to soak it up. Not sure I will buy again.

I bought this from a local store and from Amazon and the one from Amazon was significantly darker in its texture. Most likely the oil was aged and not current stock. I returned it as defective!!! And yes the bottle is lousy, it always squirts more than you want to use.

I love the smell of Almond Oil. This stuff however stinks! It just smells like cooking oil. It might feel good on your skin and hair but I won't be using it for the smell.

Small and expensive.

It made my face feel stiff and crackly, I have switched to Earth's Daughter Aloe Vera Gel - 99.75% Pure, Cold-Pressed Organic Aloe Vera for Skin and Hair - 12 oz. And don't have that problem with that brand of aloe.

not a gel- its like water, bought for a healthy hair gel alternative, no good its like a drink so does not mold the hair, went with carina organics hair gel which has no alcohol which is awesome

I would say you have to refrigerate. I didn't and tried to use it after opening and it had a terrible smell. I had to throw it away!

I believe there may have been an error in fulfilling my order. I got a very think liquid NOT the "gel" I ordered. Either an error, or their definition of "gel" is far different than mine. It diluted the skin lotion recipe I was using it for into a sloppy mess.

This Aloe product is very thin, almost to the point of being like water. This makes the product difficult to apply to the face, since you must first get it to stay on your fingers. So thin, in fact, that when you open the flip-top, liquid splatters out from the direction of the opening-- and gets on mirror, furniture, or anything within two feet in that direction.

i love this oil, i give it a five star rating. but unfortunately i ordered from the wrong company: Phenomstore, because when my oil came it stinks like burnt wood. it's not fresh. i'm going to try to return it. i might just have to go to wholefoods and get my own rather than trusting these online sellers.

Not what expected or described as in picture. No "sweet" scent...smelled like vegetable oil. Save your money and look somewhere else.

I bought this to mix with unscented lotion so I could make my own luxurious almond-smelling lotion for cheaper than buying the Jafra royal almond stuff which smells woooooooonderful but is so pricy. When you order sweet almond oil, you assume it will smell like almonds but this smells like cooking oil. Lo and behold, on the bottle it says it has been put through a deodorizing process. How stupid! Who would deodorize something that smells so good, then not tell their customers, um, by the way, this has no smell in case you were expecting, um, a sweet almond oil to have an almond smell!Waste of $$$ but not worth returning.

Do not buy this product, smells like cooking oil, nothing like almonds!!I am pregnant, and when I opened the bottle I wanted to throw up. Maybe the kept the bottle for too long and lost the almond scent.

Rancid smelling straight out of the bottle upon receiving

I bout Aubrey Organics Pure Aloe Vera Gel to use on my face for rosacea. However it is very thin liquid and not like a gel in my opinion. It is hard to apply to my face because it is like putting on water instead of a gel or lotion. If it had helped my rosacea I would have considered purchasing it again but it didn't help at all.

The ingredients posted on the image are not the same as what came in the bottles I received. The only reason I decided to pay so much for only 4 oz. was because of the ingredients and also know it is less viscous than aloe vera gel.

Not 100% pure aloe. Consistency of water not gel. Smells awful. Honestly not even sure if it works because I can't get past the horrible smell. Not sure how to describe it, something between body odor and rotten food. Will not order again.
