If you're looking for something that is built to last, this is it. It's not some flimsy sheet metal grade fixture that you find with most other outdoor light fixtures, you could probably drive over this thing with your car and it wouldn't flinch. I ended up buying a bunch of them knowing the money was well spent and have been very happy with them. I highly recommend.

Excellent product with a completely contained lighting cavity. It is not cheap like some of the other lower-priced models. Expect these to last very well.

I got 8 of these and just ordered 2 more. They are very well built; very solid. The finish is very nice. I'll have to wait a year or more to know how well they hold up. They throw plenty of light, certainly enough for steps.

Expanded our deck and mounted these lights on the steps and on the posts around the deck. Looks beautiful and lights the walking area perfectly.

So far so good. High quality outdoor step light. I had to buy 10 lights and that made it a bit pricey but I believe you get what you pay for.

I was looking for a light in the backyard.We just moved in and didn't have any light in the backyard and it gets pitch dark at night.When I let my dog out, I can't even find him.These lights are sleek, and stainless silver looks cool.I don't like those glaring while LED lights, so it took me a while to find them. They have the warm orange glow to them. Installation was insanely easy. It came with the plastic anchors, but I didn't use them.It definitely adds some mood in the yard, though they don't lit up the entire yard for sure.Overall, they are what I was looking for and I am very happy with my purchase.

These are the second set of solar lights I've tried for the front steps. They have beautiful warm lights instead of the ugly bright white stuff found on so many of devices from competitors, and they light all night--even the one that gets substantially less sun than its companions.

It's a great solar light, no need to wire anything up and the sun charges it for you. The lights are awesome. We used them on our new deck stairs. The low profile of less than 1 inch makes them perfect for the stairs. They are bright enough without being too bright. We have the bluish color solar cap lights on our deck posts. The stair lights look fine since the light color they put out is a clear color, not yellowish. They all work great every night so far.

Does the job as expected and MORE! It provides just enough light to guide you through a walkway - but dont expect a flood light and youll be fine. The lighting last almost all night which is awesome!!!

great value. easy to use. we "installed" using the tape, under each step around our pool. solar cell out, light toward the step. looks beautiful at night, and SAFER.

I would say these are on the verge of not being "warm" but they work with my other warm LED lights and are not very far off. They need a good amount of sun to operate. I have one that only gets an hour or two of direct sun and it only lasts about an hour after dark. The others are going fine. They look great and modern with a slim profile. Light reflects down onto the ground and you can limit the range based on how high off the ground you mount it. Limits light pollution.

Look nice and work well. No complaints so far, but I've only had these installed for about 2 months, so time will tell.

I used several of these lights along exterior stairs and platforms. Seem to work pretty well, but didn't come with a transformer...or something like that, to get the power down low enough to work with these. Electrician said he had to get something to make them work. Transformer I believe. Shipped in boxes of 4. I ordered 12, so it took several seperate days and packages to get all of them. Are working fine so far though.

These are very nice lights that put out just the right amount of light for accent lighting but they don't tend to stay put if you put them up with the heavy duty outdoor tape

Very nice. Warm color, not blue-white. They come on at slightly different times. Depends on how much daylight they get. Some stay on longer again based on the daylight they get. Well built. I would buy them again for sure.

I got these for a few months now. The location do not have a full day sun, but I will say at least 6 hours or so. For the most part, lights came on at dusk daily and they look really good. Unfortunately, they would only stay on for an hour to an hour and a half, if I'm lucky. So it doesn't really help if I get home in the evening.Two of the 6 lights are working intermittently, also. I still have a second set that i haven't installed. Maybe I'll move those to a different location at the home and see if that makes a difference. At this point, I"m past the returning date, so I won't be able to return these lights.Updated on May, 2017 - so I noticed two problems, once, where the light is, it only get sun for about 3 to max 4 hours of sun. I installed the first set during winter months, when sky is cloudy or raining most of the time. So the 3 or 4 hours didn't charge them up much. Now that it is summer, they do stay on for a bit longer. The first set which has less sun will stay on for about 3 or 4 hours, but the second set which is installed in location with lots of sun will stay on for 6 to 7 hours. So for now, I'm happy with the lights. So moved the ratings to 4 star.

I really like these lights on my lanai, but they have become very rusty. They still work and I may purchase them again to add more lighting, but in some ways the plastic alternative probably makes more sense if you live in a high humidity area. I stored them inside during the summer months because I am a snowbird, but still...rust.

Great product! The only negatives are that the light is not as warm as it is pictured as that was what we were after, and the lights do not last too long after charging all day in the sun. Otherwise great product. Also I used some mounting tape so that I wouldn't have to make any holes in my house and that worked fine for the most part.

Good soft lights, but I doubt they are waterproof. There are gaps between sheetmetal and solar panel, so doesn't look reliable. Has only two LEDs and that is perfect - you do not need much light on stairs. However light is directed only straight bottom, so it is more suitable for railings or other places where you will mount it on about 1-1.5 feet above surface.

I had bought and installed eight of these back in 2010. The high cost limited me to only purchase and install one course along my stair. This first set was top notch. Bought another eight May-2016 since we always wanted a second course of lights. The new set had a few things that show a lower quality.1) The four screws that hold the light to the decking changed from Flat head screws to Pan heads. This prevents the front cover from sealing and limits the number of turns the cover screw can thread to about 1. The flat heads allowed for about 3 full turns. Resulting an much more secure cover.2) The socket was installed backwards setting it too far back in the housing. I had to disassemble and reorient the sockets so they sit in the middle of the housing like the original set.3) They've moved from a polished reflector to a brushed metal material. See pictures. The polished reflector will reflect light better.All in all this is a superior step light fixture compared to the sub-$25 lights out there. Just disappointed seeing a lowering of quality for such a premium light

Wish they made a black version. Light works great and accents the patio.

First, this is probably the highest priced light in this category, so when you buy it you are expecting an exceptional level of quality. You may be disappointed. If you look at the picture and see ordinary steel mounting screws and think "That must be a mistake. They must have matching screws." How wrong you are. Prepare to paint them yourself. Finally, you must mount these very low to the ground. If you are mounting these higher than about 2 feet you will be annoyed by the glare they cast.

Purchased a 2 pack in the summer of 2016 and they are still working well staying lit into the wee morning hours (8+ Hours) however I purchased a 6 pack in June 2017 and right now in August 2017 5 out of the 6 lights don't stay lit more than 2 hours. Pulled one apart today to find a JSY brand 700 mAh 1.2V Ni-MH AAA rechargeable battery. Going to put some 1100 mAh EBL batteries in and see how they work. Otherwise the construction of the lights are simple & solid and they look good appearance wise and cast decent warm light. Have them around the deck, on the shed and on the front of the house to provide gentle light at night.Edit 9/21/2017Now nearing the end of September and I have replaced batteries in 4 of the 6 lights. 2 of them on the front of the house get 4.5 hours of sun and are staying on for about 6 hours. 2 on the deck getting 7 hours of sun are staying on for about half an hour. I don't know what to make out of these lights now. They are so basic I don't really understand how it would only be charging a little bit with 7 hours of sun. Going to reach out to the manufacturer.

I love these as they are brighter than the other deck lights I purchased but I don't like the clear lens. I am using them all over my yard to shine on dark areas and statues, hung low on trees or hooks but problem is must be faced away because the glare of the bulbs. My other set has a softer frosted lens so bulb glare is not as much an issue.

I put these on my hardscape patio wall with 2-way tape. They do get enough sunlight to glow at night, but the texture of the hardscape createsa challenge for them to stick. The 2 LED light creates ambiance but I had hoped they would put out more light.

I waited a long time before posting a review of these because I wanted to be sure I fully tested them in every scenario. The first 2 weeks I had them we had lots of cloudy, rainy weather. So they weren't staying on very long but I couldn't be sure it wasn't just a lack of enough sunlight.Now, after at least a month of having them on my deck in different locations I still can't say it's a lack of sun. They come on at dusk, right on schedule. But I never get more than around 4-5 hours out of them before they start to go black. I will say that my back yard has a lot of filtered sun most of the day. It only gets full sun for an hour or 2 on the deck as the sun starts to set.The quality is definitely there though. They're good looking, well-made lights. They never failed to come on, even with all the rain. They're smaller than they appear on line, but in a good way. And I really appreciate the warm white light they give off, as I'm not a fan of the blue light look. But if these taught me anything it's the fact that for my back yard I'm probably going to have to go with a low-voltage wired system. I need something that will come on at dusk and stay on until sunrise, every night and every light. After over a month with these I just couldn't get that to happen. If you can get a full 8 hours of full sun your milage may vary, as may your requirements.

Looks great, works great, but knocked off 2 stars beause one of them started malfunctioning and the switch is faulty. Will return and get a new one.

Great idea and they works well and stainless steel DOES rust on these units. Super thin profile and easy to attach to step face.Bright light too!

It has a cord and needs to be plugged into an outlet

Have two that got water damage before they were even installed and can't get the company to respond to me on returning them? they seem to be good lights but I had them all outside charging and it rained. the blowing rain I guess somehow got into two of the 16 that I purchased and they are not working?

out of 6 lights, after charging for 2 days and mounting them, 2 lights dead within 24 hours.. 1 light never shut off during the day and the other never turned on at all.. The ones that did light up were a good soft glow, which is what I wanted, but overall disappointed with a 33% failure rate. too bad.. Now I have to deal with a return and other stuff I should never have to. Total hassle.

Provides nice lighting for deck stairs but one of six did not last very long. Easy to intall, great price so I am fairly pleased. Never had great luck with solar lighting in general. Unfortunately, lights barely lasted one year before lights stopped working

It's hit or miss if these things work. They get plenty of sunlight during the day, but you never know if all or some will light up at night. Very expensive for something that works only 50% of the time. I bought these to use on wooden steps leading up to an apartment on the back side of a building, and they haven't worked as I hoped they would.

These look great...nice design. The bad thing is they only stay on for about two hours after dark. So, even in the summer when the sun goes down at nine, they are off by 11. They will be an even larger waste of money in the winter, because they will stop working by 7. Not helpful.

They worked great for the first week. We've had them up for a month now. Even after a brightly sunny day, only 5 out of 12 came on at all and those stayed on for only an hour. We were trying to avoid installing wired outdoor lights, but I'm afraid that's where we're headed now after wasting money on these.

Most of these did not light, or lit for one night and then never again. And yes, I put them in the sun for days and days. Lame. Returned.

Purchased these and none of them work right. don't come on or stay on. have to take 2 of them off the wall and turn them off then back on for the light to come on. After 30 minutes they quit. Doesn't come back on the next night. The other ones don't even come on. Kind of like they all have shorts in them. Very disappointed cause they were exactly what I wanted but don't work.

Perhaps it's due to my location and I didn't get enough sunlight but these lights did not stay on for more than a few hours.

With the first heavy rain this product doesn't work.

more junk rated as 4-star. my standards will be 5-star now since so many manufacturers are satisfied with a 20% product failure rate

This was a terrible buy. 2 out of the 6 lights worked, and the ones that worked, stopped working after about 3 weeks of barely working (staying on for about an hour after sundown. I should have gotten a refund. Disgraceful.
