Great little phone with awesome price. Had no trouble transferring my safelink service. Got this phone because the phone that came with my service has such a small screen and small number buttons. At my age, my sight is less than perfect and had problems with the items being so small. With the LG 306G phone I have no problems at all. Works perfect for me.

Up until now, I've been using the LG 400 series of flip phones (420 first, then 440). Finally decided it was time to upgrade from the "stone age" to, say... The "bronze age?" This phone is nothing really all that special compared to most of the market, but at $30 MSRP (got mine on sale at $10) it gets the job done. The construction seems pretty solid, the touch screen is responsive, and it comes with some basic apps like a calendar, alarm clock, and notepad. Web functions are also much easier to use than with the 400 series, thanks to the touch screen and extra processing power; and with Wi-Fi compatibility, you can connect to hotspots and save your minutes. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that Androids and iPhones and Windows Phones come with, but given the price point, I didn't expect it to.*EDITED: My initial review stated that the phone lacks a full QWERTY keyboard and forces you to use a traditional 12-digit keypad. However, there is an option that I didn't notice that lets you switch between keypad and keyboard at your desire.

Great for what I got it for, it is not by any means as good as my Android phone but it does the job and it stays charged for a long time. I do not text on this phone as it does not have a "texting keyboard" it is the old hit the 7 key four times to get a letter one, but I just use it to make phone calls on and for traveling, the triple minute thing on it is nice, and you can just buy the normal Tracphone pre-paid card you can find at any place like Walmart or Amazon and the phone automatically adds the extra minutes because it is triple minutes for life. I had read reviews where people said they needed to buy a special phone card, I didn't have to and the phone loaded the extra minutes just fine. if you are looking for a phone to just call and talk on then this one is fine for that.

Update- The first phone review is still that i am very pleased with this phone. I bought it approx 3 yrs or so ago and it is still going strong!New review: However i went to buy another one at their reduced price of $19.xx in which after waiting about 4 business days for them to ship it, they wrote me an email telling me that due to a lack of availability they have no more to sell!! But they are still listing this phone, only now the price has been upped from their sale price of $19.xx to $27.99!!! Makes me wonder if they just wanted to get more out of it since they are still listing this same phone!!!Old review below:Works very good once I learned the phone! Great price and I like the idea of roll over minutes on top of a $29.00 card lasting me for 90 days! That's approx. $10.00 a month! Well pleased!

I'm a long-time Tracfone user who recently upgraded from a LG 800G. This phone is more modern looking, well built, and has wi-fi and a greatly improved touch screen. If you connect by wi-fi, the phone won't use up your minutes when you're on the web. It's priced lower than the Android phones now supported by Tracfone. It is not a smart phone since it doesn't run Android apps, but it does the job of light web browsing and email and facebook checking pretty well. My phone works with good network coverage, but you should check with which network your phone would connect before you buy, because this can vary with a new phone. There are other apps available (paid from Tracfone, free at other online sites) if you want to play more games and such. It's smaller than the current smart phones, but the screen size is ok for my needs. Another great feature is that the "triple minutes for life" works for calls, texts, and data. There's a very helpful e-book by Craig C. White written about the LG 840G available from Amazon (also applicable to this phone) that gives you some great tips and info that I recommend.

I've been a Tracfone user for over a decade and the annual $100 plan has always been perfect for my needs. I was happy with my old LG 840G except for it's square-corner shape which always felt awkward in my hand. So, I bought the LG 306G a month ago and am well satisfied with it. The slimmer shape with rounded corners feels much better in the hand and in the pocket.The screen size is identical to the LG 840G and it has similar features and apps, plus a few improvements. There are 5 home screens instead of 3 and it comes with a Voice Command app (you can say a command to call someone, to access voicemail, get missed calls, launch the MP3 player, or to hear spoken date and time). My LG 840G didn't have that feature.The LG 306G's Bluetooth syncs flawlessly with my car's sound system for hands-free use and also, with my home entertainment center so that MP3 music on the phone plays perfectly through my home's stereo system. Bluetooth also copied my contacts from my old phone in a few seconds.The email app has definitely worked better with my LG 306G than with my LG 840G. The app appears identical but I constantly got errors when accessing my Yahoo email inbox with the LG 840G. Happily, email has worked perfectly with the new LG 306G.In addition to the standard internet browser (same as with the LG 840G), the LG 306G comes with the Opera Mini 7 browser. It also comes with a few games (many more games can be downloaded if you choose to purchase them). One big plus for the LG 306G's browser is that if you attempt to launch the browser without first activating Wi-Fi, a box appears asking "Would you like to connect via Wi-Fi? Yes/No". Thus you can avoid 3G charges (minutes deducted) if Wi-Fi is available. With my old phone I sometime forgot to turn on Wi-Fi before launching the browser and that cost minutes. I like the warning the LG 306G displays.If you want to make do without a smartphone (and their high cost), the LG 306G is a great alternative with a good assortment of apps. I certainly recommend it.Added 07/01/14: I contacted LG about "GPS capabilities" (stated on the box and item description) because GPS doesn't function with Google Maps. I have to manually input my starting location by street address or by selection a point on the map.LG's response: "The phone has a built in GPS system for location in case of an emergency. It does not have a GPS app or program where the phone can be used as a GPS navigator".Full GPS functions would have been nice but that emergency locator function could still be a life saver in an emergency (when the phone is connected by Bluetooth to my car, 911 will be dialed automatically (initiated by the car's computer) if the airbag is deployed. Having a GPS locator is a definite plus).

So far so good. I got this Tracfone LG 306G to replace my ancient Tracfone Motorola C139 stick/candybar style phone that had a dying battery. I didn't need a high dollar wiz-bang smart phone with all the bells & whistles. Just needed a newer style phone with a touch screen, just something to make calls with while also making sending texts much easier than sending texts were with the ancient phone.Getting my Tracfone service & minutes successfully transferred from the old phone over to the new phone was a PITA though. All attempts done online to transfer service failed with error messages. Then I called Tracfone and tried the automated system, that also failed. Then a 'real person' got on the phone at Tracfone and tried to transfer the service. That also failed because it turns out they couldn't transfer while I was using the old phone to contact them (they said I needed to input some codes into the old phone), and I was told to call back from a third phone not involved in the transfer. So I call them back from a third phone, input the codes they gave me into the old phone, and they said 'Taa-Daa' it's done, the transfer will be complete in 2 mins to 2 hrs time..........yea right. After 12 hrs later nothing had changed, the old phone still worked & the new phone was still SIM locked. Then 24hrs later both phones are locked with un registered/locked SIM's & neither is working. I had enough & called them back AGAIN to complain. After a few minutes the rep finally got the problem fixed and the transfer to the new phone was finally complete and the new phone finally worked.......Only problem was somehow during the transfer my account had somehow 'lost' over 1200 minutes from my minute bank. That meant ANOTHER call to Tracfone to make them give back the 1200 minutes they had 'mistakenly' shorted my account.Long story short the new LG 306G phone is doing great so far, but Tracfone IMO needs to work on their customer support.

I call it The Bulldog: short, stocky, yet powerful and durable. Although not a smartphone, it has the feeling of one, with its touchscreen, WiFi internet capability, and a few pre-loaded apps that make like a little more enjoyable. It doesn't support new app downloads, but you can download music and games. I highly recommend this one for someone on a low budget, and can't afford those $80-$300 monsters that barely fit in a front pocket. The MP3 player has playlist options, but the best thing is that it is compatible with several free government phone services, like SafeLink Wireless, in which most phones available are the small, flip phones that preceded the smartphone. After receiving their initial starter phone, this phone is a great upgrade. Works with TracFone, so all you have to do 'Top Up' with their minute cards every so often, cheapest one I've every found was a 60-MIN for $19.95 at Kroger.

so far i do not like this tracfone. the fone arrived with zero minutes available.there are no instructions, you have to go on line. the year card and minutes are to arrive in the next three to fifteen days.i have called some people with an accent i could not understand two times and could not even buy airtime by phone. i do not even know how to set the clock. i think you may have to be available to access your phone number whatever that may be. i have had tracfones for years, i lost my last one i was told that i could transfer my minutes and time but so far to no avail! so, now that i received my airtime card i was able set the fone up rather quickly. yes you have to have airtime to set the clock.the next thing i am going to attempt is to get the hours off my lost phone.i was able to transfer my minutes from my lost phone to the new one. i would like to thank the person that helped me. i had to stay on the phone for a while but it was worth it. i was given my time and the time i had lost my phone, three months,

A nice bridge between my old flip phone and a smart phone. This is a hybrid, so surfing the Web, getting email and taking high-end photos/video is not its strong suit. But for calls, texts, alarms, calendar alerts and basic pictures, you can't beat this for the price (I paid FIVE dollars on Amazon--not a typo--, with free shipping)! I'll probably upgrade to an Android phone in a few months but for the transition, this did the job and for a great price.The main downside is the text entry: You can switch to an onscreen keyboard for texting but not for note/calendar entry. It has an annoying "T9" (??) feature that tries to anticipate your text (almost never works) but it can be easily turned off with a tap--just wish I could turn it off permanently.The camera works much better than my ancient Kyocera flip phone but obviously nothing near an iPhone. But I prefer my digital camera anyway.Again, let me reiterate the price: five bucks. If I paid the $30 charged at most stores, my review would be three stars at best. But I believe price must be taken into consideration. Hope this helps!

I bought thus when it was $10 and I was looking for a wifi capable cheap phone. Having tried it out, I was prepared to buy a second - but now the price is $5, I'll acquire a third. I am happy and impressed!I did not purchase this to use as a phone, so I am not reviewing that function. I will update this if I ever do end up switching from Assurance Wireless to SafeLink I get more minutes with AW, though, so not likely.Look/feel: I was very surprised by the substantial look and feel. I've bought cheap mini tablets before for $50 - $100 that just felt like they were about to fall apart. This phone feels very sturdy, which makes me confident in its construction.Apps: There are limited apps available. The native calendar app does not sync with google or yahoo calendar as far as I can tell, and searching for a replacement hasn't been successful. The phone's native browser apps (a generic one and mini Opera 7) are slow. I downloaded a different version of Mini Opera which is much faster. Apps preloaded on the phone can not be deleted, which is annoying. There is no App Store, and since this phone runs on Java, there aren't as many apps available as on Android or iOS.Available cases: There is no otter box for this, but there are a couple with very good reviews for less than $10. I break electronics a lot, so this is very important to me.Music player: The speaker sound quality is good, bit quieter than an iPad 2. With headphones, also good. There is an option under accessibility to make the sound mono, but this distorts the sound in a very strange way.Responsiveness: At times this phone seems a little too responsive. It is easy to accidentally turn on (Something I hope having a case will fix.). There are also sounds that I can't figure out how to turn off, such as the on button, the back button, and the end call/app button - so this sensitivity is not great if you happen to be somewhere you are expected to be quiet.Onscreen keyboard: It is useable. This phone has the t9 feature, which takes getting used to but is pretty efficient once you get used to it. The Opera browser only allows a full sized keyboard, which is very irritating because the keys are so small.Wifi: I can access the Internet, but when I try to log into e-mail or social media, or I try to pull up a YouTube video, it says "Network unavailable." I have no idea why this is happening, because I am using wifi and not a data plan. I would give it five stars if this were not a problem.Other: The screen does not rotate if you tilt it, and there appears to be no way to select the screen to be oriented in a different way.

This is my first Amazon review, and I'm doing it because there are a couple of points, both positive and negative, that need to be made about this phone, and I haven't seen anyone comment on them in the reviews I read.Positive - Because it's not an android or iphone, it doesn't have some of the same limitations that those platforms have built-in. For example, I can connect this phone to my WD Live box that connects drives to my tv. That means you can not only listen to music and view pics, etc. on your tv, but also transfer files from another drive to the phone. It shows up as a usable drive, whereas my android devices just show up as a camera and won't let you access or transfer files. I assume that it can be hooked up to a newer tv with a usb port as well. It also shows up as a drive on my computer, as opposed to a device. It won't let you sync, but you can just copy and paste any files you want to transfer.Negative - While the wifi capability is in itself a positive, there's one key issue I'm having while using it. When using wifi, if the signal becomes too weak, it automatically switches to the phone's 3G service, using up minutes. This is an issue for me when using it at home, because if I'm in a part of the house that has a weak wireless signal (which I often am) the wifi keeps switching off and it starts using minutes. If I'm not looking at the screen for the 1-2 seconds that it shows minutes are being deducted then I don't know it happened. It's something people like me using the wifi feature because they can't afford to use minutes for the net should know.Overall it seems like a good little phone, and I actually love that it's not an android or apple. It's not limited in the way those are, for the reasons stated above, and more.*UPDATE*I'm editing this because I just learned that you can adjust the wifi settings so that it won't switch to the phone's 3G minutes when in wifi mode and the wifi signal is lost. Go to "wifi" and select "wifi sleep setting" then select "never."

I spent a lot of time researching phones before buying this one. I had previously had the same Tracfone from March 2007 to December 2015, a Motorola C261 candy bar style phone. It had a camera and T-9, but texting was slow and it stopped accepting photo and group texts. I bought this phone so that I would be able to text faster and be able to receive group texts. I wanted a sideways slide-out physical keyboard or a physical keyboard like on a blackberry, but Tracfone didn't have anything like that at the time I bought this. I wasn't really interested in a smartphone and I wanted it to be pretty durable. I've had this phone for 10 months now, and am half happy, half unhappy with it.Texting is much faster, though there's no T-9 for texting (only data entry like for adding contacts) since there's a sideways keyboard. It's doesn't auto-correct, so you have to accept typos or be very vigilant. I end up going back after because you can touch your finger to the screen and scroll within a word to help correct mistakes. I'm still happier doing this than pressing the numbers multiple times to text like I use to have to.This phone is so durable. I accidentally dropped this 15' off the ladder I was on and the case had minimal damage while the phone was fine. I feel lucky that it was fine. I bought the "LG 306G Case, Bastex Heavy Duty Hybrid Dual Layer Soft Black Silicone Cover Hard Black Dynamic Case for LG 306G."When I got this phone in December, I was able to receive group texts and picture texts, as well as send picture texts. A few months after that, it stopped having that ability randomly. Technology must have surpassed it or something. It's extremely frustrating. It says there is a new message (it has a different icon so you can see it's either a picture or a group text), but you can't see who sent it nor can you reply to it nor can you open it. So you can see that it came, but can't see or do anything useful.It came with a bunch of features like bluetooth, notes, voice command, tasks, alarm, wifi, and a camera among others. I don't use most of it. I haven't tried the wifi but I feel like it would be slow. I use the alarm clock function sometimes, and that's pretty user friendly.To check voicemail, you hold the 1 until it takes you to voicemail. If you want to set up a lock screen, the original number code is 0000. It took me awhile of combing through the Amazon questions to find that answer.

Very basic touchscreen phone. The keyboard is very small so even my petite fingers had a hard time using it to type as I would on a smartphone. Stick with the t9 option and save yourself the trouble and time. Don't expect to do much with this phone outside of basic calling and texting.

I loved it at first, but now that I've had it for almost a year, it's already broken. When I call someone, sometimes they can hear my voice and sometimes they can't. I'm using tracfone's BYOP plane instead. But I think it's a really good started phone for anyone new to using Androids. It has a really simple interface and it works really well.

I read all the reviews and it sounded like the phone to buy, so I did. However, with my purchase I ran in to some defective issues. One, is whenever I talked to someone, they would come back and tell me I sound like I am in water. Two, the lock screen would go in and out so fast, I could never open my phone quickly. Third, The sound on my end wouldn't go up loud enough, and I have no problems with my hearing. Naturally, I had to return it. However, I didn't get another of the same model LG306G for the reason that the price went from $4.99 to $29.99. Yes, it surely did. I did, however, get the same model but with the Verizon network. They look exactly alike and feel the same, but the entire menu is nothing alike. I do know that now I talk to people and they say I talk normal. The sound is so much better and the lock screen works perfect. I only ended up paying the same price of $4.99. I am very pleased with my choice. For the LG306G, with all the problems I had, I would not recommend it.

PLEASE READ!! this phone worked for 2-3 months for internet and email but now these services are GONE!The phone still does phone and simple text messaging but other data services are disabled. Please read the following answer to this issue by another poster:Someone answered on February 20, 2015"Assuming that you can make calls and send and receive ordinary, short, text-only messages (SMS), you have discovered some false advertising about this product: the box says "Mobile Web Access" and the basic LG 306 phone supports this, but TracFone sells a customized LG 306 with all data services -- Web, MMS, etc. -- disabled. You can browse to your heart's content over WiFi, but the TracFone LG 306 does not support Web access over the cellular data network. The error message when you open the built-in browser is "Connection failed!" The Opera 7 Java browser app., which is partly pre-installed, cannot be set up unless you have WiFi access, and once set up, will give a similar error if you try to use the cellular data network. You will find numerous recent reports online. I have returned two phones with the same configuration error. Regarding customer service, it's outsourced to the Philippines, and though the reps are polite and speak basic English, all that they can tell you to do is to turn your phone off and on, which will not solve the problem. To confirm that your phone is misconfigured, go to the Prepaid menu, select Code Entry Mode, enter *#115 and tap OK, and you will see "Parameter 115 / Port 0 / 0.0.0.0", which indicates no data access. Sorry! Return it immediately if your seller allows!"Nice phone for a ridiculously low price. I just cancelled my $35 per month Sprint. I just don't use a phone that much. So this phone fits my usage better. And also they finally have hard cases for this which is great. So far it works great and reception is also better than my Sprint Treo ever was. I even bought 2 more for spare parts and batteries if needed in the future. Plus you get memory cards one per phone. You could even buy these just for storing and playing music without the phone. For 10 bucks?? Insane. Lastly the phone shows up as a HD when connected to a computer which makes transferring files very easy. Only downside is it doesn't have a real operating system so you are limited in adding programs and games. I will miss the program I had on the Treo which automatically recorded all my calls for example. But still this little device is a great deal for the money.Edit April 6, 2015 - An important point about the memory card. When you connect this to a computer the computer will recognize the card as a hard drive so you can transfer files. Be CAREFUL to disconnect correctly using the Exit command on the phone. If you just unplug the phone without doing this many times the phone will stop recognizing the card in the phone. If this happens you will have to open the phone up, take out and reinsert the memory card to re-enable it.Edit UPDATE June 17, 2016 - Surprise surprise I was able to get this phone working to receive email and connect to the internet. I used a recommendation by cparke in an internet forum. I called the Tracfone Executive Resolutions Dept., Mon-Fri, 8-5 EST, at (305) 715-6500. They were able to fix some settings that probably have to do with the server that the phone was using.Here is an explanation by cparke:"As I suspected, it is a carrier issue---at activation, AT&T's network was not properly configured to deliver the MMS content to Tracfone's server, and instead delivered it to their own MMS server (mmsc.cingular.com), which the phone is not using. The fix was accomplished by the representative reconfiguring the phone number on the AT&T network to deliver MMS messages to the correct server, and now everything works for me. This issue has nothing to do with the LG 306G phone itself, it really is an activation error and happens from time to time on all types of Tracfones. Note it also takes about 30 minutes for the network change to take effect (not surprising, probably propagation delay) and only afterwards will newly received MMS begin to work (old ones still sitting in your inbox will still fail)."

It's almost impossible to find a case for this thing. The power button on the side opposite the volume buttons means you shut the silly off about half the time you try to turn it on. The send button located under the reply button leaves me send blank texts about 1/2 the time. Everyone I call says it sounds like I'm in a barrow. But I can hear them fine - It's a good thing I got nothing to say. Nice big screen for what you have here. Overall a decent phone. Worth the $20. It's not an iPhone5 or a Samsung Galaxy, but they're not what I wanted. Just a basic phone, not too much money and pay as you go service in the area I work and live and the space in between. I got what I wanted. Just wish I could get a case for it; my clumsy fingers and its slick surface may mean it will have a short life.Update - Phone is about 9 months old now. All sorts of cases available now. Price has dropped to $10. I've gotten used to the thin design, but I still fat finger a blank text every so often. If this one stops working tomorrow, I'd buy another one. Hard to beat at the price for a pay-as-you-go phone.

It don't show the screen when you need to disconnect.

It's quite amusing to get such a cool phone for this price, but it's not so great if you actually want to use its features.First, it's pretty slow. Not the worst (basic menu navigation is fine), but slower than some Android Tracfones.Second, the user interface is not very good. Some settings are in the Settings app/menu. Others are in standalone apps for specific categories. That would almost be OK, except various sound settings are not all in the same place. Some are in the settings app, some are in the sound settings app.You can install Java apps, but they are locked in the "games & apps" folder. You can put the apps folder on your home screen, but you can't put a direct link to a specific app on your home screen. Also, a lot of once-common Java apps are no longer available. I've also tried some old Java games I have saved, and many won't install or don't work without a keypad. It's kind of a dead technology.The native web browser is better than nothing, but not by much. It's very slow and appears designed to mainly handle old WAP pages (like from 10 years ago). Interestingly, it can handle multiple tabs which a browser this weak. However, the phone cannot view the home screen without closing the browser and losing all current tabs. The home page (which does not appear to be changeable) has links to websites designed for primitive WAP browsers like this, but most of them are all dead now.It has Opera Mini pre-installed. That also runs poorly on this phone, though it is usable to view real websites if you really have to. I have basic phones many years older which worked better.Not a single app is allowed to remain open if you want to, for example, send a text message. So the multi-tab native browser is kind of overkill.The Home button makes a phone keypad-like sound, but turning off the key touch sounds does NOT turn off the Home button sound! It is linked to the ring tone volume. So I can't NOT make a beep sound every time I go to the home screen without also silencing my ringer? Ridiculous.It's a pretty weak phone all around, but on the other hand it does all of this cool stuff (if not doing it well) you can't do at all on other phones for the same price. If you absolutely can't spend any more, you'll probably love it. But don't think this is a good way to get a touchscreen phone for less than your friends' Androids. You'll be very disappointed.

bought it as a I love u gift for my mom she had a crappy phone then it got here played on it with her then she got it turned on and now when she calls people she can hear them but the person on the other end hears in and out of what she's saying so not worth it really disappointed! Wanted to make mom happy but hey what can I really expect from a cheap phone, good if u want to text but calling forget about it!!

I liked the phone and the price, however; I have been since last Thursday 07/02/15 trying to get the phone to make and receive calls. I have been on the phone with Tracfone for a total of 6 hours, in which time they deactivated my phone, and as of this morning have not activated again. Tracfone tells me that the SIM card that came with the phone is not the real SIM card, so they have to send me a new one. (A delay until this Thursday 07/09). A shame really, because I have been a Tracfone customer for 3 years. For Tracfone service I give it 2 stars

Some of these just sound horrible because of the speaker crackling and going in and out but can't expect much for the price.

It arrived in a timely fashion but the package the phone was in had apparently been opened in the past since the security tape was broken. The contents of the clamshell were all tossed about but everything appeared to be there. I've charged the phone twice and just once managed to get it to flash on before it winked out. I haven't been able to turn it on since the first day. Kinda think I'd like it if I were able to get it to work. This is just my experience with this particular phone. I'm sure it's not the norm. I've had other LG phones and they've all been excellent. No, I haven't contacted the seller about it which is my bad. So far as I know the seller thought it was fully functional and had no reason to think otherwise. Please don't let my comments negatively influence you against the seller.

This phone has turned into a customer service nightmare. I lost my free SafeLink phone and was told I could buy and use my own for my free California Life Line Program. After purchasing it I could not get it Activated. After much time with customer service I was told it would not work because it is a TraFhone, not a smart phone. I still do not understand the difference, other than than the company name. I was informed that I could purchase minutes for $27.50 and I did so, because I need phone access. The second month I purchased minutes from Net10 for $27.50. No problems. The next month, after much time with customer service I was sold minutes for $11.95 from SafeLink. OK. It seemed like a good idea. My phone immediately stopped being able to make calls . It has now been 5 days and countless hours on the phone with customer service, endlessly repeating the same scripts and transfering to someone else where I had to explain the same situation again and again, and receiving the same scriptred replies. Some of this had to be done standing outdoors in the cold at a pay phone, until I had to hang up because someone else needed the phone. This has been beyond frustrating. I will never buy a TracpFhone again, no matter how inexpensive it first appears to be.

This tracfone is not worth the price paid for it. Should know better cheap phone cheaper quality.Screen quit after one month.

After trying my new phone and a replacement phone, I decided that it was real junk. The screen was ultra sensitive; it did what it wanted to do when it wanted to do it. The battery indicated full one minute and would die the next. It would not load the phonebook into the car after numerous attempts by me and the company tech. No support from LG. There are plenty of other inexpensive flip phones that do a much better job although with fewer capabilities, but if you don't need more than an emergency or back up phone go to one of those like the LG 237C.

I no longer use this phone as within the first month the screen would go dark as soon as my call connected. I REPORTED THIS TO TRACFONE ON MORE THAN ONE occasion, they would resolve the problem and it would happen again the next day. I could not get a replacement phone so I got a new phone from safelink and I also have a new phone number.

We bought this because the reviewers said the phone was unlock but we have been trying and there is no way. We wanted this phone for the kids, to call us using our Tmobile plan so the price and phone were perfect but we can not use it.We call to TracFone and they said the phone must to be activated for one year in order to unblock it.Don't waste your time or money if you wanted an unblock phone.

After I contacted Tracfone to activate my phone and transfer my minutes, the vendor disconnected my old phone's service but didn't activate the new phone. After two days of non-activation, I spent almost an hour with someone at Tech Support today and finally got the new phone activated. My minutes from my old TracFone still haven't been transferred to the new phone and when I contact Tech Support by phone or web, I get the canned message that the transaction is still pending and will take "5 minutes to process". But it hasn't been processed and I now have an activated phone but no airtime. The LG 306G may be a decent phone but I've wasted a lot of time trying to get it to operate--and I've been without phone service for two days.
