Five Star Reviews: | 19% for those that suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome, October 9, 2016 for those that suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome, I found this helps support the wrist and letting me work for long hours at my pc without my hand going numb Does the job just fine! August 10, 2016 I like this mouse pad very much, the rubber on the back grips my rolling desk just the way I wanted it to,I brought it to hold my mouse when I tilt my desk so that my wireless mouse will not fall to the groundand it does the job just fine and the mouse rolls across it very good too! Excellent! April 2, 2016 This pad is amazing, I am a book seller and often I am searching to research and then the tedious time of listing a book in detail, my wrist was getting tired, now the mouse isn't moving all over the place as I restlessly move and I am far more productive! Great for gaming!! Love it. Very comfortable. March 5, 2016 This actually was quite cheap and for the material that was used to make it was and is still to this day very comfortable and easy for my hand and wrist to use my mouse. I use the computer quite often and need something for my arm to grip or else it tends to slide depending on what I am doing at the time, I play a lot of games and and if my mouse is not on this pad and just sitting on the plain surface, it doesn't always work best lol. Very happy with this buy, I would recommend this mouse pad to anything that spends a lot of time using the computer for game.. Very good for my sore wrist November 4, 2015 Very good for my sore wrist. Not sure what I did with my new desk setup but my wrist was becoming very sore. I ordered a similar looking one from ebay, but it turned out to be cheap item and then I ordered this mouse pad. It is of excellent quality. Does not move around and the size is enough for my dual screen setup. Worth ten times the cost October 27, 2015 I was amazed at how well this thing works. I paid <3 dollars and would have been happy if it were 1/10 as good as it came out.The cushion is good, you can switch it left or right and or holds still when you mouse around.Never mind a slight delay as they are surely made in China somewhere and have to be shipped here on a ship. This is a fantastic value. | 79% Great/Cheap(Not so cheap any more)/Looks Good. What more do you need? August 30, 2016 What a nice mouse-pad. I used to think that they were a dime a dozen. But this one is just nice and high quality. Super smooth and easy to keep clean. Looks great and is a little on the large side which is a plus for me (no pun intended). I have a SteelSeries mouse and it has no issues with the surface and moves with the grace of a duck on water.Update: I take back the part about cheap, the price has almost doubled from when I purchased it. Still a great pad. But for almost $20, I would not recommend it. Excellent pad, but be careful of counter-fit pads! July 2, 2016 I'm giving this pad 5 stars because it is exactly what I wanted. It's nice and big, plenty of surface for the mouse to move around while gaming. The surface is smooth and glides easily, and the color is a perfect match to the rest of my desk.Be careful of where you order as there are counterfit pads out there. I first ordered from a third party in China. I didn't notice until after I clicked buy and saw the delivery date was estimated to be a month away. I figured I'd just wait as I wasn't in a hurry. Fast forward a few weeks, and what arrived was clearly not right. To skip over some boring drama, I re-ordered the pad and received the correct item. I included some photos comparing the two pads. Since I ended up with a legitimate pad and a knock-off pad, I thought I'd share some tips on spotting a fake:First, the most important and obvious way to tell if it is legitimate is the packaging. The real SteelSeries pad comes rolled up in a clearly branded box. The fakes come flat in a clear plastic sleeve with no discernible labeling.Second, and probably the last place you'll look: The rubber backing on the pad will have the SteelSeries logo embossed in the rubber. If it does not, it's fake!Third, you can clearly see that the size is wrong. The knock-off is printed on a standard 9x7 generic mousepad sheet, it is not the larger gaming sized pad that SteelSeries normally produces.Lastly, the color of the real SteelSeries pad is vibrant orange. The knock-off is a dull muted brown by comparison, but based on some other reviews it seems that the fakes are very inconsistent in their coloring. Beautiful, strong mousepad for gaming December 8, 2015 I love this mousepad! I've had a couple SteelSeries mousepads before, and each one has lasted years of heavy use. I got this one after my last one started to wear down, and man is it awesome. Not only is the design of this one sick, but the thickness and softness of it is fantastic. It's like gaming on a cloud. It's comfortable for my wrist to rest on, and smooth enough for the track on my mouse to glide with ease. It's large enough for quick and wide movements. I love this mousepad, it's tough and has not worn down even after a year of daily use. I highly recommend this mousepad if you're looking for a comfortable, durable mousepad.Pros:- It's tough and long-lasting- Easy mouse movements- Cool designs- Large enough for serious gamingCons:- I seriously could not find any Large and Orange is the way to go August 24, 2015 I bought this mouse pad on sale, so it was a great value. The mouse pad was a lot larger than I actually thought it was, which was not a bad thing. The larger surface area allows me more freedom in moving my mouse around, and I've never had any issues with accuracy on my mouse. The pad also has really good grip and it hasn't moved out of place on my desk since I first placed it there. The orange design makes it stand out/more unique and makes my desk look a lot more interesting. Will definitely recommend for anybody looking for a quality mouse pad, gamer or not. So there really is a difference in mouse pads! November 13, 2014 Didn't think there was much to mousepads. Honestly, I always thought "Gaming mouse pads? Please. A mouse pad is a mouse pad."After finally caving in to curiosity, I finally bought this "gaming" mouse pad to go with my new mouse and let me tell ya: Wow.I had no idea a mouse pad engineered for gaming could feel so much nicer than your run-of-the-mill $3 pads. Everything about it is great. The smooth yet textured top, the incredibly grippy rubber bottom (this thing wont go anywhere once you put it down) and its overall size even! I like that it leaves you plenty of space to maneuver.I was a skeptic about gaming mouse pads until I got one of my own. They really do make a difference, and with high sensitivity mice, they seem to help it track better. I don't regret this purchase at all. |
Four Star Reviews: | 8% Son says he likes it January 3, 2017 Its slim, my son says he really likes it. He's 10, small hands & arms. Its comfortable for him and helps guard against wrist fatigue when he's doing school. Glad he likes it! This is nicely done for a portable mouse pad December 31, 2016 Not as much padding as I expected. Note, they are not kidding when they call this "Ultra Slim". This is nicely done for a portable mouse pad, but I am looking for a larger pad with more wrist-padding for one I use everyday. Great low priced mouse pad with small wrist cushion. October 22, 2016 Not a high quality mousepad but well worth the low $2 pricetag- my wrist needs a cushion & I was always having to adjust my separate $15 gel cushion- all in one is a better option. It's definitely not comfy like my gel pad, but it's portable and i don't worry about it breaking & leaking onto my laptop! Great for the price August 4, 2016 Does the job well! My one complaint is that it smells very strongly of like...tire rubber. I'm not certain the exact name for it, but if you've ever walked into a Goodyear, that's exactly what this smells like. It was very strong when I first got it and has since lessened, but I notice that my wrist will still smell tire-y after using. Picture looks much better than item July 1, 2016 I bought this at a reasonablePrice. Very think and not what I expected for quality of this product. Picture looks much better than item. Very flimsy and thin. Not what I expected. I guess you get what you pay for. To Ultra Slim/ Strong March 16, 2016 I think that this mouse pad is great although I think the ultra slim feature is a little to ultra slim. When placed on a surface like glass, the mouse pad still seems to feel like your playing on glass or the surface you put it on. One more other thing is that the smell when you first get the mouse pad is a little to strong. Its like the smell of high powered helium and home depot I had it for 2 weeks and it still smells like it.Otherwise this mouse pad is great, and useable | 12% Good Mouse Pad, Heavy QcK Feels Better April 9, 2017 Good Mousepad, Have Constantly Used it Since I purchased it on Oct 11, 2015(Today is Apr 4, 2017.) I much prefer the SteelSeries QcK Heavy Gaming Mouse Pad in terms of feel, but this product doesn't collect dirt and things as much as the heavy variant, so I have been using it up until this day. comfortable and well made December 3, 2015 My laser mouse is a little finicky with this mouse pad. I have to keep my mouse away from the darker areas of the logo. Otherwise my mouse will shut down and stay asleep until I drag it over the brighter ink/ lower right side of the mouse pad. The material is thin, comfortable and well made. Four Stars November 8, 2015 Bought this as a gift for my cousin and he loves it. He's a very hardcore PC gamer. Nice large mouse pad June 2, 2015 Nice large mouse pad. I have never run off the side of this mouse pad as I have with smaller pads. This is actually the second one of these that I have bought and they seem to be very durable in the time I have used them. Great and smooth! April 20, 2014 4/5 because it is small. it does have just enough surface but being used to larger pads this just fits my needs.Surface is awesome for those of us who use the mice with lots of DPI as it gives you that mild roughness to stop the mouse and not have it go so fast that you have to reconfigure your DPI settings.Seems pretty durable.Would buy again |
Three Star Reviews: | 10% good enough i guess April 20, 2017 the wrist pad is foam and not gel and very flimsy so doesn't support the wrist very well. just ok August 12, 2016 Works ok. But kind of flimsy. I love the bean bag type wrist rests that have little plastic beads inside. So comfy! (I get them at my local dollar store.) Good Price, Quality Subpar April 18, 2016 The price on this is great, but you get what you pay for.First, it came folded in half in the package, so there is a permanent crease. Also, it took about 3 weeks to get here with no tracking information. The wrist support seems like it's filled, but it's actually just a hollow, raised up area. The only other concern is that it has an awful chemical smell. I couldn't use it and had to air it out for two weeks. The smell gave me headaches. Great design for right-handers but awful smell for all October 28, 2015 Feels great but awful smell. I had to submerse it in warm water with baking soda, detergent, and other deodorizers and they did very little in eliminating the odor. Few days later the odor is slightly less bad. Terrible Product Odor October 19, 2015 There is a terrible odor coming from whatever materials are used to manufacture this item. For a few days, I couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from until I sat down at the computer. After a few weeks, the odor has disspated - either that, or I've gotten used to it! The item itself does the job intended just fine. Great shape and feel but REALLY SMELLY August 2, 2015 I love the size and shape of the pad and it feels great on my wrist, but the smell of rubber is so strong that my entire house smells like a tire store. As soon as I opened the plastic package it was packed in, the smell hit me like a ton of bricks. If I can't get the smell to tone down, I'm going to have to toss this thing. | 5% I really expected this mouse pad to last a little ... January 3, 2016 I really expected this mouse pad to last a little longer, but then again, I use them in a control room environment, meaning that there are mice moving on them 24/7/365, so for the price, I can't complain. Alternatives are better in quality and feel. August 4, 2015 I liked it alot. Probably one of my favorite mousepads to date. However, after a month or 2, the sides started fraying. And that frustrated me, having fabric hit my wrist occasionally.I'd try the logitech g-pad. Its worked better for me. Otherwise it's a great pad that feels durable yet soft February 18, 2015 The product came crushed along with the packaging being ripped open. Otherwise it's a great pad that feels durable yet soft. Just order it somewhere else. Yes, it's a very big mouse pad January 4, 2015 I got this as a gift and when the person didn't want it and I saw I'd lose half the cost to ship it back, I kept it. It's a good cloth mouse pad that's huge, but a mouse pad that works well is a mouse pad that works well. It didn't make me a better gamer or better with the ladies. :-) |
Two Star Reviews: | 8% Smell is stronger than the benefits January 11, 2017 I love this pad, however it absolutely has the strongest, most pungent odor I've smelled. Obviously made out of recycled tires... that's exactly what it smells like and it's so strong I may have to throw it away! uncomfortable wrist rest December 7, 2016 the Wrist rest is not comfortable at all! In fact i turn it sideways so that i can avoid using the wrist rest. Its cheaply made and the price says it all. i just bought it to be for travel so I can leave my expensive one at home . Didnt meet my expectations July 3, 2016 I should have thought twice before buying this item. Really bad chemical smell when I opened the package and the cut out was like a two year old cut it Do not purchase!!! October 21, 2015 Very thin and cheap. Do not buy! It also had a weird smell to it that made my whole house smell. It wasn't even black as advertised, it was a navy blue color.I ended up throwing it away before I had even used it once, was not bothered to ask for a refund. You get what you pay for... October 6, 2015 I can't really complain too much as this only cost $2. However, the wrist rest is pretty flat; it does not provide much cushion for my wrist. It measures about .5 inch from the desk to the top of the foam and then depresses from there when my hand is on it. It scarcely feels like any cushion is there at all. (For comparison, my old keyboard wrist rest still measures .75 inch after five plus years of heavy use.) I have no problem with the thin mouse pad material; it's the lack of cushion (what I needed and bought this for) that I am displeased with. | 2% Looked faded on the corner when I obtained it entire ... September 26, 2015 Looked faded on the corner when I obtained it entire left side seems to have fading and the edges are fringe.. Two Stars November 15, 2014 its not thick like most mouse pads and it is larger than a standard mouse pad |
One Star Reviews: | 55% Amazon Reviews Are Hysterical After You've Already Made The Mistake of Purchasing A Bad Product... March 22, 2016 This was the best $4.99 I ever spent to get a hysterical fit of laughter out of. I didn't read any reviews prior to purchasing but after this product arrived, I was curious, so began trolling through reviews. Turns out the HORRENDOUS smell of this thing is a problem for everyone! So if you want to spend the money and then scroll threw reading reviews and die laughing at the shared misery this thing has caused, do so by all means. Worst mousepad ever. Turns out I should have kept the piece of paper I was using under my mouse instead of this thing. Every time someone walks into my office, I make them smell my mousepad just so they don't think I have the worst smelling flatulence on Earth. I thought it would "air out" eventually....it hasn't. I'd trash it but I feel guilty about putting this pollutant in a landfill. Really? October 6, 2015 The other people who rated this item with anything above a 1 star must either work for the company or got a completely different product. I ordered these almost a month ago. They came today; two folded and crumpled "mouse pads" in 5 x 7 padded envelope. The most ridiculous part? The padded envelope has more padding than these "mouse pads." Ultra slim=cheaply made. Yes, the ENVELOPE it came in has more CUSHION and substance to it than the mouse pads. They smell horrible (like plastic, chemicals, and pipe tobacco). The bottom of "mouse pads" don't grip anything but it doesn't matter because they won't lay flat anyway. The material is so thin and cheap the pads crinkled to point of permanent deformity inside the package. The material it is made out of is not even close to a texture I'd want rubbing against my wrist. It's almost as if someone glued together fabric from my high school graduation gown with plastic material found in oven mitts. The wrist rest on these pads seems like a bad joke. It's literally just an area of pad that sort of holds a little air but when you put your wrist on it goes flat. Really? Amazon there is something fishy if most the reviews for this product are giving such high ratings for it. I guess you get what you pay for though. Defective product. August 15, 2015 Ultra Slim Cloth Wrist Mouse Pad (Black).. GenericI would give this product less than 1 star. First, it is not black, it is dark blue. Second it came out of the package smelling like burnt rubber, as in tires, kind of burnt smell. The package was hot, probably from sitting in the mailman's truck and my mailbox. Three, the way it was folded in the package meant that it had to be under something heavy because it was twisted and needed to lay flat. I left it out for several days but when I went past it, I could still smell the burnt rubber quite clearly, and it still is not flat, though not as twisted. Yes did it cost very little, you bet, was it even worth that cost, no way. It is a defective product and should not be on Amazon's web site.P.S. I just read the reviews after writing mine...seems that many of us cannot stand the product. Why does Amazon still have it on to sell? #1 Most Toxic Item to Ever Leave China. June 21, 2015 Absolutely horrific toxic chemical smell. A chemical lab would have a field day testing this for consumer health hazards. Everyone in my house could literally smell it across 2 rooms; they kept curling their nose saying "what is that horrible smell?" It smells like burnt used tires, petroleum, used motor oil and a chemical spill all in one. I threw it outside hoping the heat would bake the stench out of it and all day you could still smell the toxic odor in the room when you walked by the banister where it briefly sat. It is cut out by hand with a pair of scissors and looks like an 8 year old did it - very uneven. This is going to go directly into the trash, it is so toxic, I wont even rest my skin on it. Nice job, China... Should have read the other reviews better as it smells really bad like a sticky rubber ... June 4, 2015 Should have read the other reviews better as it smells really bad like a sticky rubber tire from the 1940 or something. Tried washing it tried airing it outside in the sun and still the smell is so bad that I cant use it in the house at all. Cheap yes but unless your nose is totally messed up and you have no smell at all then its not a product I would recommend to anyone. Stinks (bad!) and got the wrong color January 29, 2015 Edit: still stinks so horribly after several days it can't even be inside the house. Worst smelling product I've ever encountered, and the smell doesn't dissipate at all - beware!I should have read the reviews . . . instead I focused on the price. It really stinks (I could smell it when I opened the box, and it was still inside its plastic wrap), is crazy thin, and - even though I ordered black and the package says this one is black, it is most definitely blue. Clearly matches my blue jeans and clearly is blue next to my black computer. | 2% It does not look like the picture here on amazon August 18, 2015 Not sure If I received the wrong one or not but it says heat orange on the plastic. It is not orange by any means, its red. It does not look like the picture here on amazon. I only bought this pad because it was supposedly orange but this is not the case. Fake April 2, 2015 Looks like the seller sent me a fake product... (I'm almost positive that it is fake, printing is low quality and the steel series logo is off. One Star February 27, 2015 Apparently the surface of this one is worse than my wooden ikea desk. Tested with Corsair Vengeance M65 mouse |
