They work awesome but they are lightweight and if it's more than slightly breezy they can be easily weighted using the pull cord with a little bit of creativity. I've been known to tie my key ring onto mine. Good product for a reasonable price Just what I wanted, excellent screen for food. July 29, 2017 These are very decent quality and the pop up design is really clever. Some reviewers complained that flies can get under it because it does not sit level on the table. The one I got may be an improvement. There is a pretty half inch strip of lace sewn on the bottom. It serves to block flies and close any gaps there might be from an less than level surface. The lace is pretty ingenious really, but I don't know if they all come that way. The tent covers a decent amount of space and fits well over a fairly deep fruit bowl I have on my counter. It's plenty strong for the purpose, but don't try to use this for anything more rigorous than repelling gnats ! (i.e. catching minnows, sifting flour ? LOL). But the mesh and the product work exactly as I wanted and expected. They collapse easily for storage. Very useful, product design cannot be improved! November 1, 2016 I researched food covers, and I think the mesh ones are the best. The only ones more aesthetically pleasing are glass, which suffocates the food, and metal colander types, which allow the fruit-flies in, or rattan domes---which allow some bugs in as well. The mesh keeps everything out and allows the food to breathe and not "cook" under a glass dome. I like that these are all white and not the bright colors which don't go with EVERYONE'S decor. Someday I may get smaller versions of these domes, and maybe a super large one, but these right now are the perfect size to cover most dishes you will need these for. I personally think they don't look that great, but I have to give five stars because I can't think of a way to improve upon the existing design. These mesh covers even fold away for storage---what a huge help. And of course, these are designed to protect and preserve food, which they do a great job of and who doesn't need that?! I use them if I cut up a watermelon in my house and snack on it over time, and I will be using these at my next outdoor picnic. Excellent Product for Keeping Flying Things At Bay August 3, 2015 Love Them!Sizes: sizes were as described. Square shaped. Dome extends very high very quickly so it goes nicely over large salad bowls without the netting hitting the side of the bowl. This is important because if you have serving spoons, they can rest in the container without impacting the netting. The nets also lay flat on a flat surface, fairly snug, so nothing was able to blow or craw under the net.Very easy to use. Just pull the string and voila! folds nicely and stores nicely. I had to wash them and washed easily, no staining.CON: as a four pack, i would have liked it if the set came in a re-usable bag or pack for easy storage and keeping them together. But that's nothing major. They are light and in heavy wind, they can fall over, but anything this small will tip over. Summertime is always great weather for being outdoors, but with it come flies and yellow jackets. These food tents kept everything covered and safe from flying insects. I agree with several reviewers that it is not intuitive for how to open and close the mesh nets, but once you figure it out they are very easy to operate. Couple of pointers on what could make this product even better 1) There are tiny gaps at the bottom rim of the mesh, all around. A determined insect could find it's way into the mesh through those gaps! 2) The bottom rim could have been provided a better / heavier lining - this would have made it look better, and also added some weight to the whole mesh cover. All in all, for this price, it meets my needs perfectly yes, I needed it to keep stink bugs off ... The product I received was slightly different than the picture in that it was more of a white lace than netting. The other packaging was rather dusty though the product was fine and clean, though there are two smallish holes in the netting. We used this for a outdoor picnic and it covered three aluminum casserole pans along with a two platters. It will get the job done and it will cover almost half of a rectangular plastic/wood folding table. It collapses similar to an umbrella, but the metal is sturdy as aluminum foil!
