I park on the street so feel that my car is greatly protected with the club.

got one car stolen from right in front of the house, so we bought a couple of these and no problems since!

Did the job. Sturdy and reliable and made moving across the country much less stressful!

It doesnt say "THE CLUB" but its authentic. I love this item. My lawnmower has one, my car has one, my forklift has one, my truck has one.

Disclaimer: I haven't had my car stolen, nor have I tried to steal a car that was secured with a Club, but based on owning this product, I can say it's well-made, nicely-finished, and its rubber-coated hooks and rubber handle grip make it easy to put on and to remove without scratching or damaging my car's interior. That I can install it without a key is a nice feature. It gives me peace of mind when my car is parked outside, whether at home or out on the town. It's cheap insurance.

It does what it is supposed to do. Very smooth locking-unlocking system and it glides in and out easily and smoothly. Loved the black-gold color combo. I think the only con is that it is kind of heavy and I have to be careful when I stretch my arm backwards to place it on the backseat before driving off. If you have shoulder problems (eg frozen shoulders, muscle injury), this backward maneuver must be done carefully.

Came quickly. Easy to use. Bought this for my son after his 2005 Honda was stolen from in front of his apartment. He now uses this club and hopefully any future theives will pass his car up for an unprotected one. If you have a Honda 2006 and earlier you need one of these as those models are highly targeted for theft.

I recently attended a lecture where I learned that my car happens to be #2 on the most stolen car list. I can't say it deters car thieves, as I don't know if it has or not, but I do still have my car, and it does give me peace of mind. Easy to employ, and I find that I'm still using it regularly after a couple of months, which was the real test in my eyes. With the double loops, I think you'd have a hard time cutting your way past this.

I bought this as a deterrent because my vehicle was stolen and recovered. I understand that we have come to regard The Club as a bit of a relic from the 90's. I realize that it's effectiveness can be called into question.That being said, when installed, I can't see this particular design being easily compromised. Sure, any device can be compromised if a thief is skilled and determined enough. But I emphasize that it does not seem EASILY compromised, which makes it as good a deterrent as any. The idea is for your vehicle to not be low hanging fruit. If you live in an area where theft is prevalent, then this will at least make your car a lot more of a pain to deal with, and hopefully cause the thief to move on.I don't know what everyone is talking about – the mechanism works flawlessly. It locks without needing the key, so I just leave it on the floor of the rear until I park, then I extend it into place. Takes under 5 seconds. Unlocking has been a breeze as well, no issues, pinched fingers, or jammed locks. All in all, for $20, there is scarcely any additional inconvenience in using this device, so why not? The twin hooks design seems extra effective, the color is a strong visual deterrent, and it'll be a lot harder to just drive off in your car.

I have used "The Club" devices on all of my vehicles for over a decade now. As a result, I am pleased to say that I have never had any of my vehicles stolen or even tampered with for that matter. The Club 3100 is well made and offers additional protection over the classic version of this device. One advantage is that when you place the Club across your steering wheel and it extend it, the device automatically locks in place. This feature has been included in some later models, which seem to no longer be offered. The double-hook design allows the device to fit much more securely in and around your steering wheel. To remove the device, one must remove it with the use of the included key.Besides being a visual deterrent to thieves, the Club 3100 is made of heavy gauge material and is sure to last for many years. As a Testament, all of the club devices that I have purchased over the years are still functional and work just fine. I have transferred them from one vehicle to another over the years.The bottom-line is that this device is simple to use and for many it is sure to protect your second most valuable investment, your car.

Seems to work pretty well. It seems a bit loose at times, but I think the most important aspect of this product is the look, rather than the functionality. Due to a string of car thefts in our neighborhood, it was a necessary purchase.

Great product, not the smoothest user experience ever, but it's solid and will probably last a while. I wish locking it only prevented it from shrinking, so that I could lock it before putting it in the wheel, and then expanding it. Physically it is an awkward motion trying to lock the club in my (admittedly very small) car when it is placed in the wheel.

Works and well built. A bit clunky to move around in car and store.

Perfect fit, would have gotten a 5 star rating if the steel was a little thicker. But for the price, it can't get any better!

Easy to use. Haven't had to have strength treated but I also have a brake to steering wheel club as well

Delivered quickly. 500 cars a month are being stolen in Albuquerque. Decided this was an affordable deterrent. Plastic had been cut by the action of the device opening and closing. Affects appearance but does impede its function. I am very satisfied.

This is great lock. For me there was 1 drawback related to fit; I wish the ratcheted shaft was 1" longer. The reason is that I use this lock on a large, old-fashioned steering wheel on a 1964 Ford F100 pickup truck. My factory wheel is 15 ¼" inside diameter. The lock still works, but is at its limit and fits rather loosely, even when extended fully to its limit. So, I would recommend this product only if your wheel is 14 ½ or less inside diameter. If it fit my larger wheel very snugly, I would give it 5 stars.

We were advised by the Police to get the Club after several auto thefts in our area. This Club is easy to use, a little cumbersome but it does the job! I would have given 5 stars BUT one day we could not get the key to unlock the Club - it was a tense moment since we were in a hurry to get going - frantically, I ran to get the second key that came with it (THANK HEAVEN FOR THAT SECOND KEY!) fortunately the second key worked but it was a scary moment - WHAT on earth would you do if this happens again? I think I'll call the company. I would highly recommend this product but advise you to get extra keys made and keep them handy! Linda C.

Don't think anyone can cut through it, but one cut of the steering wheel will allow the thief to slip it off. But I guess it is better than nothing.

Unfortunately this didn't fit over my steering wheel cover, so I couldn't use it. It was a little bit thinner than the average club, but nonetheless I think it would work as a deterrent.

It does the job as a deterent, but can't really tell if this is the Original Club brand...not stated on the actual club.

We ordered the twin hooks first then this one for my husband's car. This one you have to use the key to slide the thing into place. Whereas with the twin hooks you only need a key when unlocking it to get it off the steering wheel.

Says it's a Club but it isn't. I wouldn't buy this one again.

I loved it when I got it, but after a few days the key wouldn't open it. After a lot of thinking and finagling I got it to open, but I no longer use it, scared it might happen again.

visually does the job.. but if it comes down to it, you can probably cut through it with a bolt cutter

Does not fit as snug on the steering wheel as I thought it would. Seems like you can pull the top of the club and force it off the steering wheel. Get a steering wheel to brake locking device instead.

Nice product that works fine and is less expensive than an alarm. Had car stole previous to this purchase, now someone stole my face plate off the stereo!? Starting to think civics are "trash people" magnates. This product seems to do what it is intended to do but does not ward off people willing to take anything.

Bought it for my dune buggy. Buggy has a small steering wheel and it just fits on the lowest notch. Struggle to get it to lock.

Paint already came off some part after the original packaging was open before use. DO NOT get this if you have any Prius model, the twin hooks don't work on the wheel, still able to use it but very awkward n loose fit because only one hook can fit. Too bad the packaging had to be broken or else I would have exchange it.

I don't use the product very often mostly because the locking mechanism is pretty cheap and I'm more concerned that I would be able to get it unlocked then I am that someone might steal my Jeep. I'm sure there is a better product out there.......

If I'd been able to turn the locking mechanism in a store, I would never have purchased this lock. The lock is really flimsy and cheap feeling, especially compared to the heavy duty lock on The Club (red cover). This lock is a visual deterrent, but I don't hold out much hope of it stopping a determined thief. Next time I'm buying The Club. One other annoying thing about this lock, you can't put it on without the key like a more expensive club, and the key is really hard to turn and feels like it is going to break when you turn it.

Gives sense of security, but rattles around when not secured. Very obnoxious!

Does not unlock consistently, so I am afraid to use it on my car for fear I won't be blessed to get it off even with the key...

Does not fit my honda civic 2008 EX very well.

The Club came packaged well and the box was not damaged at all but when I took it out of the box the plastic on the Club was slit and the ends were worn like it has been dragged across a floor and worn the plastic out. I needed this NOW so I didn't return it. Sure the package looked unopened but the product looked used and damaged.

I purchased 2. The key doesn't work on one. Trying to figure out who to talk to about this.

1 st time I used it would not release to remove...key turned ok to unlock but rod would not release...(it was not too tight against steering wheel)...after quite awhile it finally released after rotating rod back and forth what i could...tried a 2nd off the steering wheel...same thing..may try upgrading to original 1000 but don't trust this one now...

This product arrived without the key to lock it. It was sealed in the plastic packaging but no key included. What use is this as a car theft deterrent without the key??

O.K., most people are not too swift so here is the real deal with this double pronged club. The idea of a double hook which would require a would-be thief to have to cut the steering wheel twice is basically a good idea. However, here is the rub. Most if not all steering wheels do not have the the center cross member mounted in the middle of the wheel, but rather leave a larger space at the top as an opening to see the dash gauges. This means that the diameter at the point of contact for the upper hook would be wider than the lower. So the upper hook does not mount properly because the lower hook butts up against the wheel frame at a point of lesser diameter than the upper. I am No engineer, but I recognize a bad (permit me: idiotic) design when I see one. The CLUB people should be ashamed of themselves for not having designed this properly in the first place. SO...back it goes. If they fix the design to have it fit properly, I would buy one. One last point. it is a shake your head world and the fact that so many people would give this bad design a favorable review makes me question the value of online reviews. Of course you all know that merchants that are reviewed on online review sites (you know their names), can have any negative reviews purged. My wife wrote a very well articulated and legitimate critique of a service she used and it was removed.

Thought i was buying quality... WRONG! Made in China Junk, feels light weight and can't believe came with WRONG KEYS from factory. Don't buy.

The club jammed after the second time i used it. I placed i on my car while I was on vacation. By the time i returned the return option was closed. I barely was able to get it off of my steering wheel. It is now stuck in one position. It wasn't cheap. Waste of good money

this one was easy to bend

After just 3 days of use, it got stuck and I had a lot of trouble unlocking it. I had to hit it with a hammer to get the lock un-jammed before the key would work. I almost got stranded. Sad!

These thieves could care less about locks now a days. This is the second time I had the lock broken off. Definitely not happy about it not working. Third time my Honda was stolen...booooo
