Bought this for my dad after my brothers car was stolen in NY. He uses it all the time now. It works well and gives a lot of peace of mind and confidence in street parking vehicles all the time in NYC.

It stopped my Honda Civic from being stolen.Very good product, would highly recommend to friends.I ended up buying 3 and gifting it to my friends who had theft problems in the past.

Works as it should and easy to use. It's gotta have a little wiggle to it to prevent the lock from sticking. Won't prevent a thief from smashing a window but will deterr them from stealing your vehicle.I have adjustable pedal in my f150. If you have adjustable pedals... you have to move them all the way up and the steering column all the way down. if you don't it is pointless to purchase this.Takes me about 30 to set and lock and about 5 seconds to remove.

Excellent product if you have an older vehicle that does not have an alarm system or if you just want that added form of protection on your vehicle. It keeps the steering wheel lock to the brake pedal so even if they are able to get into your vehicle they won't be able to go anywhere unless they break the lock.

So I live in a metro area, and my Jeep Liberty was stolen. Apparently all earlier model Jeeps are hot commodities because they are easy to steal. After I got it back, I purchased this and the The Club 1000 Original Club Steering Wheel Lock, Red. Sure enough, 6 months later my car was broken into again... but this time it was at least still there. Will it prevent your car from being broken into by s***head teenagers? No. Will it prevent said teenagers from stealing it? Yes.

Can't go wrong with one of these. Now a days when you think the alarm is good enough. Think again! Club it up. Yes it is a hassle but well worth it. You can put security cameras outside your house the works and at night or in the day they will strike. Club it and no one is going anywhere also don't have iPhones or iPad in view. Always take out your personals.

So far, it is working well, no complaints; my daughter's car is still in the driveway!It comes with 2 keys, not 3 as it is sometime advertised. I made sure I oiled the lock prior to using it, as weather conditions are rather harsh where we are, with a lot of humidity and salty air.Warning: It can lock even without the key...so do not loose or misplace the key before you lock it! My daughter's car is a Kia Picanto, and the lock fits well on the steering wheel; so far no marks of any sorts....will have to check this in the future and update the review if need be.Everything can be broken or forced/disarmed, if given enough time of course; but this sort of device is already a visual deterent and will surely slow down any potential thief!I guess, this is what will make the difference between my car being chosen as a target or not; rather than the one next to it, and this is all one can expect in the end!Good value for money it is.

Easy to use and easy on the mind.Twist the steering wheel to lock position, put on the Club in extended position, and walk away feeling relieved that there is something there to deter theft.It would also be great to have a tracking mechanism but that's more money with more complications. The Club is a good start.

Its a little rocky at first, in the sense that I had no clear knowledge of how it actually had to be set the correct way. Because the tiny image on the packaging is very limited. The product is extremely sturdy and durable I know its gonna be with me for a long long time. Its very pretty too if youre a girl with a weekness for car stuff likegadgets and gizmos.

I have an older model car that is often the target of thieves so I bought this club. I lost my indoor parking at my workplace so I now park on the street and wanted to have some theft protection. It's super easy to use. You can put it on without using the key, then taking it off you unlock it and pop it off.

Nothing to complain about here. The product is simple and feels very durable. The lock operates very smooth and has never gotten stuck or failed to lock.

This is the best. Don't bother with the cheaper knock-off types. The price is great ...definitely "looks" it's part and the color makes the club stand out when bad guys might be peering in the window. Of course from what I've read, it doesn't deter professionals but does the punks... which is a very good thing.

Works as intended; red paint easily peeled off especially where it hooks onto the brake pedal. One or two reviewers said they were locked out by the club. For this reason I have to be cautious so when I use mine, I try not to hook or lock it too tightly. I haven't had a single issue as yet. It is very sturdy so I think it will last.

Works well will not stop someone from stealing your vehicle but it will slow them down I installed a hidden kill switch that won't stop a criminal but it will slow them down if they wanted they will get it just don't make it easy for them

this thing meets its purpose. my brake pedal is very well hold up.since my truck wont start if the brake is not pressed down it gives me some tranquility.also the steering wheel is hold fairly tight so it wont move.the only thin I don't like is the fact that the distance from the brake pedal to the wheel is fairly long.so I need to remove the black part from the red part in order to set the thing.but for sure I recommend this product.

For the price you can't complain much. It's a visible deterrent, which is why I got it. Gotta figure it's one more thing a would-be thief would have to deal with if they wanted to steal your car. That's one more thing that would make them want to move on to the next car. Do yourself a favor and take the keys to the lock WITH YOU. A lot of people leave them in the car and I'm sure thieves know that. If you're going to leave them in the car, hide them well. Don't put them in your glove or cup holder.

I love my truck and I have proudly given her the name "Red", and I have owned her since 1989 when I purchased Red brand spanking new. I have had an alarm put in her and that's always work with no problems, until! One night this last summer, some brazen individuals, tried to steal my Red from me. Don't get it wrong, Red is as Beautiful today as she was the first day we met. I have loved her dearly. Of course Red and I have had our ups and downs, but what good relationship doesn't (right). Anyway! Whoever the scoundrels were, broke Reds windows, destroyed her keyholes, and tore up her ignition pretty bad. I didn't care too much about the stuff they actually stole. I'm just glad Red wasn't taken from me (I shouldn't have gone on that trip). It gave me a big scare. I mean take my wife please but leave my Red alone. So after putting Red back together, as Beautiful and as sexy as ever, I wanted a little more extra protection. I had a new alarm put in her and for extra protection (you never know when you need it) I thought; Dr Hook would help protect my Beautiful Red a little more. I feel more comfortable now. Red is my Baby; and Dr Hook is going to help me feel secure, that nobody will take my Red from me.

Haven't lost the car yet. Hope the bad guys don't decide to cut the steering wheel so they can get around this device.

Haven't had any problems with this, I use it on my 2014 Honda Civic! Just gets really hot from the keyhole and it does dent my steering wheel a tiny bit but it goes back to normal after about 5 minutes of having removed the club.

The key that locks this club is a bit wonky. I had to slide it out a bit with a neighbor in order to get the Club off my steering wheel, and it truly scared me thinking I couldn't get to work without a neighbor's help. Now that I'm more used to the key, it's not so scary, and the Club is a good deterrent to any thief.

Met my expectations for a basic club. The club will deter "joy riders" who only want to quickly steal a car, run it around, and destroy it. This is a good investment for your average owner.If one wants to eliminate the possibility of having your car stolen by professionals, then you need to go to multiple security systems.

I figured for twelve bucks, and having an easy to steal 09' Jeep Patriot, I bought it. It could be 3" longer though.What I have to do now is wrap one piece around the brake pedal, the other piece around the steering wheel and try to wiggle the two together in the middle.It works - just a pain. My Patriot is not a massive SUV, just a step up from a compact. But for 12 bucks, it can save you a lot of headaches in the long run. If I drove every day - I'd find something else.

Not suit for steering wheel, totally no use. I just use it as a decoration（looks like the steering wheel is locked)

Bought it for my tractor when that vehicle is left in the field overnight and works fine. I don't know how long it would take to saw through the lower metal but highly practical to stop am impulse thief.

I have been using this for over a year on my trucks, which have manual transmission. 1st I used it on a 2005 Ford F-150, now I used it on a 2003 Dodge Ram. The concept is simple, lock your wheel then hook it to the clutch or brake pedal.If someone wants to cut the steering wheel they can, but for the price this will deter the casual, unprepared opportunistic thief.Now, for the bad, they key sticks. I have used WD-40 and the it still sticks. The lock seems to be very sensitive to tension in the rod, for example if the rod is very tight on brake & steering wheel (which is should be in theory) the lock won't turn. You have to wiggle it incessantly to get it to loosen the lock up. This is VERY annoying when you are in a hurry. I am concerned I may lock myself from using my own vehicle. This has happened repeatedly, so I can duplicate the issue. So keep that in mind.

Have a twenty year old version of this that was better designed. These newer ones (or the particular one received) can come apart into two pieces very easily, whereas the twenty-year old Club never does this. Also, even when the Club is extended and fully locked, we noticed that no matter which make or different style/shape of car steering wheel that it does work on, this current Club Lock design can technically be moved a little around the steering wheel. While the lock itself does not come out or off, the OLD CLUB version seems to really lock it in place. It seems to have to do with this newer lock design that allows the two ends to constantly move. Wish they kept the CLUB design AS-IS. Technically, it works, but the older CLUB lock seems to be a safer and sturdier design. Also, this does not work with certain newer cars that have steering wheels where the open spaces are not wide enough, or sometimes it's just a huge plastic body within the steering wheel. Test it first.

It seems to work. I still have my car but the plastic coating began to peal off before long.

it says universal fit for SUV however on my GX460 it provides almost no security. too small - i have to buy another one... otherwise i love it on a smaller cars.

It is ok but does nto prevent the steering wheel from being cut. Where I live I needed something, cars of being stolen I live in NYC.

I thought it would be really good , it's just an ok fit for my 1966 Pontiac .

The product itself is fine. It is a lot less annoying to take on and off than I thought it would be. There has been an increase in car thief in my neighborhood. The club gives me more piece of mind. When it arrived in the mail the bubble plastic was open on one end. I noticed that some of the paint was chipped before I took it out the plastic container. I was a little annoyed but not enough to send it back.

it was a pain to set up and lock. maybe thats the charm of it as it would take a theif longer to unhook it.... if it was locked correctly!there's quite some chance that this can get locked incorrectly and then some theif could just wiggle it loose.yes it is a visual deterrent but the handle thats facing up is black? and the red is facing the brake pedal? i think it would be more visual if all of it was red. also the keys and lock seem rather cheap compared to the Click-it i got a decade ago from the same company.

cheap quality thin steel

Literally the day after I placed this on my vehicle, I came to find it laying in the pavement in pieces. If you have a real problem with theft, this in not the device you want.

This worked well for awhile. The lock opened easily and smoothly until yesterday. I went to unlock it and it was totally jammed (I tried all the usual remedies). I live in Las Vegas and it was 114 degrees yesterday and probably about 140 or 150 in the car, I can't help but think this had to be the reason for the jam. Perhaps there was some small plastic part in the lock mechanism that melted, I don't know but I wouldn't buy this if you live in a very hot climate.

ABSOLUTELY not for outdoor use. The locking mechanism is of VERY poor quality. Had two of these in use less than a month, with DAILY doses of graphite lubricant, locking mechanism failed. Fortunately, with less than 100 lbs of pressure, the two pieces separated with relative ease, and we we able to complete our tasks.

One of the keys was bent and cannot use. Now only have one key.

I'd rather get the LX club. It's better looking and is better quality.

The locking mechanism works fine, but it does not take much effort to unlock the unit. It takes less than 1/8" of a turn to get it unlocked. ( the key turns 90 degrees from lock / unlock ). It takes almost the whole travel of the key If you use the key to lock it.I have an old ( over 10 years ) club; and on that one it takes almost the entire travel of the key to lock / unlock it.I'd return the one I just bought if it wasn't a hassle to get it packed and shipped back to amazon . . . . I guess I'll just use it as a deterrent hoping that a car thief sees it in the steering wheel and leaves my car alone.Having the club may have unintended consequences: [...]

Rubber coating has repeatedly stuck to my leather wrap steering wheel and removed bonded patches from wheel. The finish on my steering wheel is now heavily damaged and it will continue to happen unless I cover the club before installing. Can't get keys made anywhere either, havta go to manufacturer.

It is actually a strong, easy to use lock. However, it can be defeated by cutting into the steering wheel thus easily removing the lock without touching it. The Pedal Jack is an absolute replacement that has four sets of teeth per lock that cannot be picked and is reinforced with 1in. thick cut resistant metal. The Club can supplement the Pedal Jack as marginal obstruction to theft.

I bought it for my golf cart - did not reach from steering wheel to pedal.

Cheaply made. Get the auto lock instead

its little hard to lock the thing but it is even SO MUCH HARDER AND TOUGHER to unlock it. I almost broke the key trying to turn to unlock this thing and it seems like it is almost impossible to unlock it once you lock it. Thank god I've tried it before I put it with my steering wheel on my car.. I would've been cutting some irons in my car to go to work.. I wouldn't recommend you buying this

Doesn't fit as advertised. Too short.

I bought this lock because I heard great things about it; and it was great for a few months. After a few months the lock no longer works because it doesn't do what it is suppose to and that is stay locked. It seems the locking mechanism has broken because now it can simply be pulled open and this is a huge problem for a steering wheel lock.

I just got this in the mail and am returning it immediately. When I turn the key to the lock position, the rod still moves freely. Useless.

I returned this product based on missing parts from a group order.

This warranty is utter BS. It says you need to submit it within 5 days of purchase? I got 2 of these for Christmas - they were purchased a couple weeks before. So I guess I can't get the warranty? That's fantastic. Now I have two pieces of metal and no back up. THANKS CLUB!

WARNING!! DO NOT BUY THIS CLUB!!!! I read the bad reviews first and many said the put it on an then it was locked on and could not remove. I figure the majority reviews were good so I like the dark blue because they are hard to find. It arrived today. Took family out to Olive Garden for a night out to eat. I TRIED THE CLUB OUT FIRST!! I extended it then unlocked it. Cool. We go inside to see people sitting on the floor and out the door a 1hr 30 min wait to eat. So we go back to the car and now on my brand new car i can't get this damn thing off!!! Tried every way possibe. Placing tension, removing tension while trying to wiggle the key. After 30 min off trying. A lock smith will run you anywhere from starting out at $100 up to$250. I had premier AAA membership and it covered a lock smith. Great! Except nearest lock smith is a hour out so total time sitting here will have been 2 hrs. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE.

Here's my review: I purchased this on Oct 10. Yesterday I went out to my car, the club CANNOT be unlocked. I found the duplicate key - the club CANNOT be unlocked. I have no access to my car. Am I supposed to pay a locksmith to take it off? I have an unusable car. What now? What a nightmare.

I returned this item to Amazon. Could not remove the club from my steering wheel on my new car. Tried using all suggestions to remove it located on Club website and had to finally call in a locksmith to remove it so I could use the car ($110). Returned this particular club to Amazon and received a refund. I still had the club I used on my previous car (vintage year 2000) and it continues to work flawlessly.
