Five Star Reviews: | 54% Best shower head we have owned August 25, 2016 Shower head has easy assembly. It functions as it should. We mostly use 3 settings. It is easy to keep clean. Doesn't drop or leak. It is nice and basic appearance. Not high end looking but does the job. Nice long hose. We have purchased from big box stores several shower heads in recent years. All around $100 in price, one was much more. All with the same or similar function to this one. Switches break. Nozzles plug up. Gets grubby looking quickly. We have had zero breakdowns of this one. I bought it as a stop gap until we could find a more high end one. I stopped looking. This one does what it should quite well. Thank you! This thing is fantastic July 19, 2015 I had wanted to buy a handheld shower head for years, having had one before and remembering how much easier it made cleaning the shower. My husband was very reluctant, citing numerous concerns such as being unable to adjust the angle of the spray - a concern since he's very tall and I'm very not. After my dog and I recently shared several unpleasant bathing experiences, I decided that since I was typically the one at home cleaning the tub and dealing with whatever the dogs manage to roll themselves, he could deal with a little experiment. I ordered the thing and installed it myself, which was pretty simple. My only complaint was that it only came with 2 washers and I ended up needing 3 (one at the wall, one at the base of the hose, and one for the head). Wasn't a real problem for me, though, because I just took one out of our previous shower head. I will add that though I am handy enough, I am not super mechanically-inclined and had never done this particular task before, so I appreciated how easy it was. I didn't even mention it to my husband until the next day, after he'd used it. Let's just say he grinned to my "I told you so." It works great, with a choice of several water pressures. I love that I can turn it down to a trickle when rinsing my dog's face then turn it to a spray when hosing down the tub. It's got a water saving filter that you can remove if you want, but we actually find the reduced water pressure more comfortable. You can adjust the angle of the spray very easily, but we no longer even worry much about that because it's now angled high enough that we don't have to adjust it between showers based on our height difference. It's cheap, works great, and we love it! Exactly what I wanted!!! June 12, 2015 *********************UPDATE*********************** After a year of using this, I still LOVE it BUT like other reviewers mentioned, the hose is broken. I contacted the seller and they offered me a replacement! I only needed the hose as the shower head is perfectly fine but they sent me whole new shower head with hose! I contacted on Friday and received a replacement on WEDNESDAY!! Awesome customer service!!! **********Original review*********** 100% happy with my purchase! One of the reason I purchased this was because it comes with on/off pause switch. I live in California and we are having really bad drought and need to save water. I heard if you turn off the shower while you wash your body/hair, you can save a lot of water. We have double handle faucet and it is really pain in the butt to turn on/off the shower everytime. So that was the one of the reason I decided to purchase this and I am so happy!! So easy to turn on/off and I really do believe that we can save water doing this. I also like the design and it is really light weight and the price is awesome too! I was surprised to find I really like this shower head. It is great for me. Also, it is prefect when I need to wash my dogs in the shower. The water saver button is a great feature as the temperature stays the same when you want to pause the water. Yet, I have to say that it is too hard for my kids to use the pause button as their little fingers can't slide it that easily. Another plus is that this is super easy to install. Superior quality. Great product. October 15, 2014 This AquaCare replaced a Water-Pik hand shower head that was purchased two years ago. The AquaCare is clearly superior. Biggest difference: it doesn't leak when first turned on, when running, or when just turned off; the Water-Pik consistently leaked just for a few seconds as it was turned off. The cord on the AquaCare is all metal including the connectors, and it hangs loosely with no stress on the positioning of the shower head; the Water-Pik's all plastic cord, (including the connectors), was stiff and required very narrow positioning to keep the head from rotating in the holder. Installation on the AquaCare was easy; everything was supplied including Teflon tape. Even the washers for the hose connectors were attached by a rubber band to the hose so they would not be lost in the packaging. There is a "pause slide switch" on the handle that allows the water flow to be reduced to a trickle, which is helpful if you have dual faucet control on your shower; however, be sure the slide switch is not on "pause" when you hook it up to first test it, or you will think the water flow is puny, and it is very full with the correct setting. The quality on this product clearly stands out, and it is one of my most satisfying purchases. | 81% Great value. February 28, 2017 I needed and used this for a shower head I purchased,The price was great, cost less here than in the store.Wrapped it around the threads and no more leaks. perfect for what I needed it for May 22, 2016 I bought this tape to repair the power cord for my macbook air, and so far it's worked perfectly. The tape has been on for over a week so far and the end hasn't started unpeeling in the slightest. I think it will last for a long time, and it's saved me from buying a new cord. I also liked that the tape came in a nice round plastic case, which among other things prevents the edges from getting stuff stuck to them and getting dirty. Nice and wide...and effective. April 9, 2016 I had the thinner size before...and I bought this wider size by accident.It turns out, it was a great accident. It reduced the amount of times I had to wind the tape around by half, since I no longer had to wind diagonally to cover the entire surface of the thread.(Not for a very small surface)Maybe everyone else already knew that there is more than one size of plumbers tape, but it was news to me.Worked great on our shower head. It's hard to go wrong with sealant tape February 4, 2016 Well, it's sealant tape. You can't really go wrong with it. It worked as it was intended. Bought it to wrap around the thread of a hand held shower head that needed replacing. I should have prob went with a different size tape, because this was a tad too wide, but that's not an issue since you can either have a bit of tape showing, or push the tape down.I wrapped the threading about 4-5 times, and it sealed it perfectly. Not one drop leaking, and there's plenty of tape left over for the tool box! great for stretching August 12, 2015 If you're looking at this tape to use for stretching a piercing, you have found the perfect tape for a really small price. a few wraps of this a day and before you know it you're at the next size. the only bad thing about this tape is that it does not slide well in oral piercings, and its so incredibly thin it can be kind of frustrating to wrap around a piece of jewelry, but that can be a positive too because you're able to fine tune the size increase to an incredible degree. Four Star Reviews: | 20% Cheap, quality, easy to install June 8, 2017 This is a high quality product that is easy to install. I have terrible handyman skills and the instructions are super easy to follow. I DID have to replace one after two years. The hose cracked in an area and the water was starting to smell even after cleaning so I decided to replace it. I bought the same one because it came with everything I needed, including a small amount of plumbers tape which helps with preventing leaking. I'm very happy with this piece. It works as advertised and goes up with about ten minutes of work. My only knock is the limited durability of the last one I purchased. but it was easy to install May 13, 2017 The whole thing is made of cheap plastic with a chrome finish, but it was easy to install, no leaks and looks good...I will see how it holds up to daily use...and it is a good value for the low cost. I like that it gives an extra holder, so you can put it down near the bathtub too. I tried to remove the water restrictor, in accordance with the instructions, but was not able to do so...but I still had good water pressure so that is okay. Great shower head, possible issues with hose, great customer service. September 23, 2015 I really enjoyed this product when it worked. The shower head works very well. Installation was very easy and came with everything you needed (including plumbing tape that was optional). The stainless steel hose was very nice until it broke after 3-4 months of light and gentle use. It was never dropped and the only time it was removed from the holder was to clean the shower. I have noticed other users post similar pictures of the break so I believe it may be a design flaw or common defect. I have email customer service yesterday but have not heard back yet. In the mean time showering will be unpleasant. I hope they resolve this and send me a better hose so this doesn't happen again. The shower head works very well. Edit: Interlink Products emailed me within a couple days and promptly sent out a replacement hose using USPS 2day priority mail. Service and support is a very important factor for me when purchasing any product. I've since replaced the hose and I'm once again enjoying my showers. Works as it says. June 1, 2015 The most intense spray setting works quite well for us, allows us to get in and out of the shower quickly. The "soap up" valve in the handle also works although when your hands are soapy it's extremely hard to shove the valve back on. Saves the water which is why we replaced our old (much loved) one. I wish it was easier to tear however and did not shred and wrinkle up as soon as you tried to cut or tear it. Otherwise it works great, stopped my leaky air compressor fittings and sealed my pool fittings quite well. It works as it should! June 20, 2016 I have used this tape on a few plumbing projects ranging from two shower head replacements and a couple of water supply line hook ups. I am very pleased with the results. My only complaint is the tape will fold over onto itself very easily when trying to wrap onto the threads, so just take your time. Other than that, this is a great addition to your plumbing tool kit. Works well June 28, 2015 Not a whole lot to say. If you need pipe tape to seal things like your shower head, this is that. It seems to work well. With the semi-flimsy reel it's on and the natural properties of sealant tape, I found it easy to get it tangled up, but that's the only real nit-pick. This isn't some big purchase, it's just the tape you need and it does its job. get the 1/2 inch tape instead March 24, 2015 Works well. The first time I only wrapped it around the threads 3 times and there was a single drop leaking from it every 5-7 seconds. The next time I wrapped it 6 times around and got a perfect seal with not a single drop leaking. The tape can be ripped with hands. Be sure to push the tape down around the threads with your thumb before attempting to connect the shower head. Also, clean the threads on the pipe of any previous residue before applying tape for the best results.Only gripe is that I bought this because it was the recommended one. Not knowing anything about sealant tape at the time, I ordered it. When I received the item I did some reading saying 1/2 inch tape is the best size. After using it I discovered this to be true. Half inch tape would have been more than enough. The 3/4 inch tape works the same, but leaves a lot of unused white tape visible on the pipe. It does what it's intended to do alright. January 15, 2015 It's okay. It does the job. It IS very thin, so cutting each piece you'll use with a small pair of scissors is highly recommended. Having worked as a plumber for some years back in the late 1970's the tape we used was a bit thicker and never once did we cut it. it did have stretch to it, but all you had to do with that pretty much was pull it tight and yank it. Try that stunt with this gauge of tape and I think you'll find that you're going to need the more than ample supply provided. the description DOES read "Industrial," so having not worked in the trade for so long I won't attempt to call this one. It IS also on the thick side measuring side to side. For shower head installation let's say, it might be a bit much. I don't know. Improvise. It does the job won't break the bank you MIGHT find Sealant Tape at the 99 Cents Only Store, but I needed it TODAY. So... I should have tried this a long time ago! March 30, 2014 Yep… there’s a difference in tape but I had to be convinced. I thought no matter what brand or thickness I purchased it was just wrapping more around the threads would do it. I’m not a plumber but I do buy homes, live in them for 2-years, make all required repairs/improvements and then see it. Seems every house needed major plumbing work so I just purchased the cheapest 10-packs of Teflon tape I could find and kept wrapping tape until the leak stopped… or changed out the fittings. The added thickness to this tape makes for a better seal but it does not tear off easily. I’m happy with it but had to go with 4-stars because of the difficulty in tearing it off and the ragged end that is left. If you’re prone to cutting it with scissors then it’s a 5-star item. Three Star Reviews: | 9% I purchased this HotelSpa handheld shower in April 2015 and ... September 16, 2017 I purchased this HotelSpa handheld shower in April 2015 and had it installed by a plumber (along with other plumbing work). It worked well for the price, $30 and lasted 2 years. The hose just started to leak at the end that connects to the shower head. The hose split and can't be repaired. There is a lifetime warranty but you have to send it back to the manufacturer which would cost almost as much as buying a new one. And I would have no shower. So, I will just buy a replacement hose for ten bucks and call it a day. Hope this review helps. Good shower head but difficulty with pause switch September 8, 2016 This is a nice shower head that looks good and is easy to install. Everything you need, including Teflon tape, is provided. The issue is the pause switch. The switch is almost impossible to engage when the water is running. By the time I get the switch to work, the water has run so long that I might not as well have bothered to try, and this is after using both thumbs. Even though the HotelSpa AquaCare shower head is a good one, the main reason I bought this particular model doesn't work as it should. I'm still experimenting to try to find a solution to this annoying problem. I've read reviews and responses to questions, and I know I'm not the only purchaser who is experiencing this issue. Hopefully soon, I'll discover a solution. This one could have been great. October 7, 2015 I want to be able to give this a 5 star review but I can't. The shower head itself is awesome. Water pressure level remained in tact and the many different stream choices make it a wonderful experience, especially for the low cost. However, after about 5 months of use, the inner hose at the wand broke. Its very thin and for whatever reason it busted. Thankfully my husband is very handy and had stuff to repair it. It works great again but it shouldn't have broke in the first place. I'm pretty disappointed in that. I probably wouldn't buy this one again because of that as many people aren't as handy and wouldn't have been able to fix it. I would love this if the pause switch was easy to use July 24, 2015 I would love this if the pause switch was easy to use. I have to use both hands and every ounce of strength I can muster to push it up and down. I did read other complaints about how difficult it was, but I didn't realize how truly extreme it is. I thought it would loosen up over time because I use it so frequently during my showers, but instead... it became more and more difficult to the point where it is physically impossible for me to move anymore. I may have just broken it... ? I've noticed some have complained that the pause switch doesn't totally stop the flow of water. I've used several shower heads over the years with pause switches or buttons and they aren't designed to totally stop the flow. It is normal to have a slow trickle of water still flow. I have no complaints other than the pause switch. Stumbled out the gate, but happier now with the replacement.. March 21, 2015 When I first received this showerhead and installed it, there was water leaking from the pause switch on the handle. I contact the company about this, and they said that definitely shouldn't be happening and sent out a replacement showerhead to me. The new showerhead that I received doesn't have a pause switch, and instead of the chrome face where the water comes out, it's looks like grey plastic with black nozzles. It's definitely not as good looking as my original showerhead was, but it doesn't leak and that was most important. Also of note was that the original showerhead was missing the flow restrictor, whereas the new one did have it. (Since the water pressure was adequate, I decided to leave it in place) I don't know if someone over there inadvertently sent me out the wrong replacement part, or if their solution to a leaky switch is to send you one without a switch, but considering that the switch is a big selling point to many, it's worth mentioning. Even removed restrictor but did not help. I did use this for 2 yrs. and it worked fine but finally got something else because I always hated the low pressure.bought the original waterpik- not very attractive but has much better pressure. Fails at its primary feature and normal use. [updated 7/29/2016] March 22, 2016 I bought this for my kids so they can take shower and are able to shut off water when they are soaping to save water and not splash all over since they can't reach up to put it back in the holder. The switch is REALLY hard to put in the off position. Even I as an adult have hard time doing it when water is running. So it failed with the primary reason why I bought it but I figured I will just it as a normal shower head. Now I am getting annoyed with a different problem - pressure of water dropping time to time. Only way to get my water pressure to be back to normal is to put switch in off and then back to on and it gets a bit better but not 100% good as when it was brand new. Maybe i got a faulty one but I will not buy again. * edit 7/29/2016: Corresponded with their support and they went out of their way to help me out. So 5 stars for support/customer service. I will be buying another product from them but not this exact model. * Broke after 6 months. November 13, 2015 Purchased this 6 months ago and it worked pretty well for the price. Up to this point the only thing that we had a problem with was the water pressure. Yesterday while I was taking a shower it just broke on me and sprayed water all over the place. Guess what I'm trying to say is... you get what you pay for. Update: The seller contacted me and said they would ship another, I'll give more stars when it arrives! Worked good for a few weeks June 22, 2015 Showerhead was working great for a couple weeks. Good flow and no leaks. Well, one day while showering, the metal part of the hose became detached from the showerhead and the rubber underneath expanded like a balloon and popped. Water going in every direction. So not sure if it's just cheaply made or a defective unit. Sending it back for refund and buying a different brand. It looks nice. Clean and modern December 23, 2014 It looks nice. Clean and modern. Ncie feature with the pause button. Bad news: Signifacntly lower flow than expected. Wanted to like it but couldn't stand the lower flow experienced. Went to remove the flow reducer that the manual said it had but guess what? It didnt come with one and I already had max flow. Had to return it. | 1% Hard to use with small screws October 13, 2016 For my uses the tape was not too helpful. In order to keep the pivot on my folding knives from coming loose I tried using some of the tape to help tighten up the threading between the screw and female pivot end. Since the tape is so wide compared to the small screws it was difficult to wrap the tape around the screw without using too much of it. I was able to use it on two different pivots successfully. If the tape wasn't as wide it might work out better for my applications. If you use this with a longer screw it should work fine. I'm sure for its other uses it works fine September 23, 2016 I purchased this to stretch my ears further and it was wholly unsuccessful. I know that's not the purpose it's intended for initially but that was my experience with it. I'm sure for its other uses it works fine A Little Too Wide August 29, 2016 Too wide to use easily. The shower head unit that I bought also came with thread sealant tape so this wasn't needed. It didn't apply easily, but it WILL do the job. One Star Reviews: | 9% HOSE BROKE IN 2 MONTHS October 25, 2015 The Hose broke mid shower after owning this for less than 3 months. The entire unit is plastic. It worked well while it lasted but the hose just snapped for no reason. I advise you to buy a showerhead with a metal hose, not plastic. This arrived and was Installed on Sunday, 1st use ... June 23, 2015 This arrived and was Installed on Sunday, 1st use on Monday morning. I turned on the hot water to heat. When water was hot, I opened the shower door to add cold water and the hose split spewing hot water into my face. Received on April 2nd and Returned by April 23 - Typical Cheap Chinese Junk April 23, 2015 Purchased this due to all the positive reviews, which I now suspect are greatly fabricated. The shower head is light plastic, like pretty much all of them. Feels just fine. Clicks nicely between settings. The hose felt heavy metal, and sort of solid. We would later find out it was not solid at all. My wife and I loved the way this one sprayed though and hoped it would last awhile. It didn't. The point of failure was the "metal" hose. During a nice, leisurely evening shower I was rinsing off when the metal sheathing on the hose just below the attachment point to the shower head decided to crack. The metal sheathing slid down a bit, exposing the rubber hose beneath the cheap, bendable, crappy metal. The rubber hose proceeded to inflate like a balloon until it POPPED when it caught itself on the exposed jagged edge of the metal sleeve. All showering joy was lost, the evening moving forward was sad and woeful. Thankfully, no soap remained on my body when this occurred so I was not forced to continue rinsing under the erratic spray of the shower head's broken hose. My wife, however, was not so lucky. I had to change the shower head back to our harsh rainwater style backup emergency shower head and she felt the relentless pelting of heavy rain-like water upon her skull during what would have been her peaceful evening shower. We have suffered due to cheapness. I shall spend more on the next shower head as I search for quality. Weak flow, noisy and useless April 12, 2015 Terrible showerhead, the default setting for showering is absolutely useless pressure wise while an unrestricted older showerhead can be very uncomfortable in the same shower. It also makes pretty terrible noise that resonates through the walls, pipes and fiberglass shower constantly. The mist setting is kinda cool although it's really useless to shower with and the massage setting is a joke as it's just the jet cone. Low flow, you might as well just use a cup in the sink. I would highly suggest buying a pack of bottled water to bathe with over this in a situation. The pause switch is also completely useless because depending on your blend of hot/cold water it's just going to end up as hot as possible or as cold as possible. The switch also seems to be flawed in design as I'm assuming it creates most of the noise and doesn't turn 100% off. I would never recommend this to anyone unless you want to make someone's life miserable. It looks pretty nice though, if you want a really cheap showerhead that looks just like this then I highly suggest still not to buy it. If you want to buy it for parts however and use the showerhead as something to hold the bag down in your trash can, it's actually decent! Really, just save the extra $5 and buy something else. You're not getting a better cheap showerhead just because it doesn't have a brand name. You're getting cheap garbage undeserving of a name brand. No water pressure, seven settings is a joke. February 11, 2015 After a very bad day over the weekend (long story short, as I was giving the puppy a bath as the last part of a poopy situation and my old shower head broke) I decided to go ahead and purchase this shower head. There were zero issues with shipping, it came with all of the bits that it was supposed to come with. It was very easy to install with no tools. I went to test the shower head to makes sure there were no leaking connections and there was virtually no water pressure. I know that with my old shower head, some of the settings can feel like there was no water pressure, so I decided to try all of the different settings. Seven settings would be a massive over statement. Two of the settings are exactly the same (when looking at where and how the water comes out of the head, wide with no pressure), two of the settings were nearly the same (wide with no pressure mixed with what seems as though it should have been a mist and a mist that seems like it should have a light wide pressure, but I know it should have been a pulsating focused stream with a light wide constant stream around it). There is a misting stream that gets all over the place and what is supposed to be a pulsating focused stream (which is a joke, no pulsation, and it is not very focused). On a good note, the pause function works great and hardly allows any water to escape. The hose is super flexible and it was shorter than I was expecting it to be (but that is my fault, five feet from a six foot placement seems super short, I should have measured a bit better). The shower head itself seems very light for what it is supposed to offer, and the construction of what it is seems solid enough. I will be sending this shower head back (which upsets me because I have to pay for shipping on the return) and using the broken hose of my old shower head until I can find one that I actually like. | 1% Do not buy it if it is from Amandami!
