Very sleek and sturdy.
February 11, 2016
Very happy with this desk. I need to have a dual pc setup for work. I have two laptops and a 2nd monitor for each. I also have to sets wireless mouse and keyboard, so I really wanted to 2 keyboard trays to keep the space neat and also be more ergonamic. I was looking for a second keyboard try, but struggled to find one that was cost effective and would work with glass. I found this exact desk, used, on Offer UP and bought a 2nd one, new, here on Amazon. I was able to set it up so that I have the corner desk with 2 keyboard trays. I took one of the other desk pieces and set it up as additional workspace for paperwork, snacks, coffee etc. etc. I still have one more desk piece that I can use, but as this is in my bedroom the space is small. It is working out just how I wanted. Very sleek and sturdy, space saving, and yet ample space for my computers, Great bargain for the price.
Nicer than I expected
December 19, 2015
Great desk for the price. was able to setup in less than an hour, pieces clearly marked to help with assembly. Liked the frosted glass, added lighting on underside to give my son a nice look while he games. Keyboard tray little sticky but freed up quickly after little use. Don't think it was a product issue just new tight fit. designed to have keyboard tray on either side depending on room placement. Below is $20 light kit i used to get multi color accent. LE® Waterproof 12V 16.4ft/5m Flexible RGB LED Strip Light Kit, Multi-colored, 150 Units 5050 LEDs, LED Strip Kit with 44-key IR Controller + 12V 5A Power Supply, IP65, Adhesive Light Strips
Great Desk for Gamers - Black gets dirty QUICK
July 20, 2015
This is a great desk for 100 bucks. I have 2 24" monitors on this thing with a small fan, tenkeyless keyboard and a QCK heavy mousepad.Pros: Large and sectional makes it easy to fit into many rooms. Enough room for 3 24" monitors (this is something I worried about before purchase). Has a cool look. Great for your gaming room. Easy to assemble (about 45 min with two people). Very inexpensive.Cons: If you have a cat that likes to go on your desk - you will notice every hair follicle or piece of litter on the thing. Seriously... It's frustrating. You either need to keep your cat out of the room or clean everyday.I think this desk is the best low-end bang for your buck. I have no regrets about buying this desk - but if you have a white cat I would go with a different color than black.
Battlestation material
March 27, 2015
This desk was harder to bring upstairs than to build. The process is very straightforward - all you need in addition to what they provide is a screwdriver! Though the packing is great, unboxing this was very difficult. It goes to show that they want to ensure your desk comes spanking new though. There is a lot of Styrofoam, so keep that in mind before you stick a box cutter into this. The instructions are very clear cut, but do read them carefully. I was in a giant rush to build this thing, so I skimmed it and in doing so, I missed some lines noting which way the bars should face, which is crucial! It took me awhile to redo it, but still, only an hour or two and I was done, and building furniture is my absolute nightmare! I am a clumsy girl who has a ton of makeup and tools on this desk, but there have been no scratches whatsoever. The desk was exactly as I had expected. I hope to buy another and combine them with my current to make an even more awesome battlestation. I want to put my PC on the desk, but I'm not sure if it can hold the weight, for those who are wondering. I ended up playing it safe and put it under my desk. However, three monitors is surely doable! I heard about this desk from Reddit and it turns out more than five of my friends have it. Do yourself a favor and get this desk!
and they look awesome. But that's not why anyone's going to read ...
December 24, 2014
I currently have two of these desks (black legs, clear tops) assembled side-by-side, and they look awesome. But that's not why anyone's going to read this review. Here's the good, bad, and the asinine.Good:*Looks modern, sleek, and very professional*Sturdy design despite streamlined (very thin) limbs and supports*Plenty of clearance for my legs and shins (I'm 5' 11"). I kick the wall behind the desk before I come near the cross beams*Supports multiple monitors and desktop computers without concern of collapsing.*Provides a surprisingly large amount of work area.*Glass edges are angled to prevent scraping of limbs and chipping of the glass.*Extra of each screw in case of defects.*Superb packing. I ordered from walmart and my girlfriend from amazon. Both boxes looked like they had been dragged behind the truck upon delivery. No damage was found when we opened what remained of the box.*Assembly is pretty speedy. Took an hour without a drill and 20 minutes with one. Keep in mind I had already assembled one when I busted out the drill. I'd expect around a half hour for anyone with a drill reading the directions the first time through.*Phone number and website are provided on front of assembly instructions in case anything is lost, broken, or flat out missing.Bad:*No built in options for cable management. Invest in some zip ties if that's a must.*Limbs are all hollow. Saves on weight (and your back during assembly) but allows you to punch bolts through if you aren't careful.*No options to install drawers, a hutch, or a small cupboard. It is what it is.*You will have styrofoam everywhere when you're done, but at least your glass won't be broken.*The keyboard tray is TINY. It fits a large wired keyboard with number pad and has about an inch of glass to spare. Your mouse and keyboard will be living separate lives from now on.*You will at the very least need a philips head screw driver. I'm sincerely hoping that's not a deal breaker for anyone.*Every part is conveniently labeled with a sticker. The sticker cannot be conveniently removed, especially the large square one on the keyboard glass. You may need a razor blade to remove the stickers on the glass, or cover it up with your keyboard.Asinine:*Glass tops are all held in place by suction cups*Directions don't indicate you can decide which side has the keyboard. Simply swap parts 2 and 4 for part 6 during assembly.*Directions have you build keyboard tray AFTER attaching keyboard support to desk. This means you assemble it from BENEATH the desk. Do the keyboard assembly part of step 5 and 6 immediately after step 2. You'll be glad you did.*A drill speeds assembly up tremendously, but keep in mind the hollow limbs. I recommend drilling 95% of the way, and manually tightening with included allen wrench the remaining 5%.*The provided PC tower holder is supposed to go under the desk. That's fine if you don't mind it sucking up all the dust, hair, and debris on your floor (yay clean floors!). The corner piece of glass can easily support a 15 lb PC tower. We bought these desks to provide enough space on each for multiple monitors, a desktop PC, and an xbox. They delivered with a bit of space to spare. As you can see from the picture I uploaded, you probably will want some zip ties if you're putting electronics on these desks.

Very happy with purchase after hours of daily use.
September 18, 2017
This has been a great chair for our home office. I originally ordered two of these chairs in December to replace the chairs in our office. They were easy to assemble, with clear well-written instructions. All of the needed parts are separated making the step by step instructions simple to follow. The only tool you need is a hex wrench which is included. It took me less than 20 minutes to assemble both chairs. The chairs are very comfortable and unlike some of the older reviews, we are not having any issue with the armrests. Maybe, Amazon has changed manufacturers. We have had the chairs for nine months and they are showing no signs of wear after hours of daily use. We have been so pleased with these chairs that I just purchased another AmazonBasics Mid-Back Office Chair to replace my grandson's old desk chair.
It's good.
August 29, 2017
I was able to figure out how to assemble it. I am moderately fit and of average intelligence. I remember that at one point something didn't quite fit so I had to go back one step and loosen the screws but that was a minor minor issue that I was able to correct after analyzing it for several minutes. It's good for the price. I weigh about 180lbs and after heavy use for 5 months I could tell that it was not going to last past 2 more years. The seat was starting to tilt a bit.
an extremely comfortable chair, i have spent hours at a time ...
July 14, 2017
an extremely comfortable chair, i have spent hours at a time in it without difficulty, which is very unusual for me, since i always have pain after sitting for too long. surprising, since it's a cheaper chair.the armrests are cushioned, and the seat and back are cushioned. i don't know if they will break down after much more time, but i spend my weekends in this chair, and have had no issues. i stand for a long period of time at my job, so i come home with a sore back sometimes, and have to use the lumbar support in my car, but i don't seem to have that issue with this chair. i would definitely purchase again.
As good as much more expensive chairs
November 5, 2016
I'll admit, I'm hard on office chairs. I'm not petite and I work 10-12 hrs a day at my desk. So that's a lot of wear and tear on a chair. My last chair had finally given up and I went looking for a new one. Well, I hate to spend more than I have to, I know it's going to get used to death. There's just no getting past that. So I decided on this one. When it arrive (quick as always thank you Amazon). It had a scary number of pieces but the instructions were clear enough I got it put together in less than 20 minutes. It's so comfortable! Its wonderful to be comfortable while you work long hours. Definitely a good buy.
We have had good results with AmazonBasics before (with a paper shredder)
May 7, 2015
Well, my wife's office chair broke so she needed a new one. We have had good results with AmazonBasics before (with a paper shredder), so we decided to check out the office chairs. This one caught our eye and we ordered it. Great choice! This is a great chair and is very comfortable. She enjoyed it so much I ordered one for myself and now we both can work in our home office in comfort. You won't be disappointed.
Very Comfortable!!

I bought this chair for my wife to use at her computer desk as a Christmas present and she loves it....says it is very comfortable to sit in while working for long periods of time. She highly recommends the chair.

I love it!
October 21, 2017
This was my first time buying an office chair since I’ve never had the need to. I just recently bought a loft bed with an underneath desk and was looking for something that would be comfortable and affordable, and this is definitley it! I do a lot of sewing and painting and other such hobbies that require me to be leaned over some sort of flat area for long periods of time. Befor I just had a cheap stool from Walmart that sufficed until, like I said, I got my bed/desk. After that I wanted something that would definitely be comfortable for long periods of use. And let me tell you, I can sit in the chair almost all day! The padding is extremely comfortable, I love the height adjustment and the entire way the chair is shaped, I can’t lean back comfortably and prop my legs up somewhere if I want to watch a movie on my computer, or lean over my desk for long periods of time and still be comfortable. I would definitley reccomend this chair to anyone that wants an office chair of more than decent quality for a pretty good price.
Feels good
August 12, 2017
I really like this chair. It gives better support for my back than any others I've used. The arm rest design allows me to sit closer to my keyboard shelf so I can work leaning against the back. The height adjust has a good range that lets me use the chair comfortably at desks/tables of differing heights.
This is a great chair that has last me a long time
August 3, 2017
This is a great chair that has last me a long time.My kids keep stealing it to use on their own computer because it's so comfortable, so I'm glad it's durable to withstand what they put it through.
Excellent chair!
June 28, 2017
I'm 5'4" and this chair is perfect for me. Overall I am satisfied with this chair. I would recommend it for anyone needing a comfortable chair in a small space. If you need more adjustability then this probably isn't the chair for you. Pros: -Mesh back is very comfortable and breathable -Seat is firm, should last a long time -Seat Hight is adjustable Cons: -Arms are not adjustable, are not padded and sit fairly low for proper use -There is no tilt or other functions for the chair, only height adjustment
So good, I bought 2!!
January 10, 2017
This chair was so great and comfy that my mom tried to steal it. It arrived during the time she was up visiting. She kept asking when I was going to put it together because it sat in the box in the dining room for 2 days. I was looking forward to putting it together, but on the other hand I really wasn't ready to give up my old chair. Yeah I know, the poor thing was falling apart and I had to cover it in blankets and pillows to make it somewhat comfortable to bear sitting on and besides I had it for 10 long years and it was always there waiting for me when I needed the computer to order something off Amazon. After finally tearing open the box to put it together, my mom giggled a bit to herself thinking it was going to take me hours to put it all together, but to her surprise, it was very simple to snap together, especially since the tool needed to put it together was included in the box, imagine that! Then it was my turn to giggle as I sat in it and rolled across the dining room after only 5 minutes of piecing it together. But then my giggle ceased as I rolled over the dog's foot and I flipped over backwards in the chair. Mom laughed, of course, as if it was the funniest thing she ever saw, but it really wasn't all that funny. Even tho my back hurt I was afraid I already broke my brand new chair, but luckily this durable piece of artwork was scratch free of my clumbsyness, or perhaps it was my expertise of putting it together flawlessly, I guess we'll never know. Mom pretty much used the chair the whole time she was here, so I ordered her one as well. She saw how easily I put it together and figured she could do the same on her own. She called me after she got hers and all put together and thanked me for getting her one. She loves hers as well and said it's much better on her back than the one she had, especially since it has an easily reachable handle to raise and lower it to her desired height. I'm still getting used to the wheels being so slick on mine. My old chair's wheels were so stubborn, they'd tear up carpet before those things would roll so I've already fallen 4 or 5 times trying to sit down cause the chair rolls out from under me before I sit down. Anyways, it's an awesome chair, just saying!!! As for my old chair, it's in the garage if anyone wants it.
Very Comfortable and Quality Office Chair
May 26, 2015
Assembly of the chair was pretty straightforward, and it comes with all of the tools you need to put it together. Just make sure you follow the instructions because I ended up doing a step out of order and then I was confused as to why it wouldn't go together =PThe chairs are pretty light, yet they feel very sturdy. The back is very breathable which I found to be very nice working in a hot office. The seat is comfortable, and the seat is well designed so I can sit in a way that doesn't hurt my back.Very comfortable and quality office chair, especially for the price

Fantastic Chair Frustration Free Packaging and Assembly!
May 6, 2017
We have purchased three of these chairs and will buy one more to round out our home office. This chair is durable, comfortable, attractive and SO EASY to assemble. This is important: Low Frustration Assembly. EACH step was carefully labeled and individually packaged. Sure, putting one chair together, not a big deal. Putting three together in an afternoon, time-consuming. We love this chair very much. The quick and easy assembly was icing on the cake. Thank you, Amazon!
A great chair for the whole family
May 4, 2017
My husband, my three teenagers and I all love this chair! It was easy to put together. It looks nice. It's not huge, but it's big enough to accommodate my family member's various sizes (5'4"-6'4", 150-230lbs). It fits nicely under the desk. It allows for you to sit with good posture. I have three herniated discs in my back and am very picky about where I sit. This chair is comfortable and the back is very supportive. And it was a great price!
Good replacement chair
January 20, 2017
I ordered this chair for a few reasons: The chair I was using was getting old (circa 1998) and was a tad bit worn out, I was curious about the build quality of Amazon Basics products, and this chair looked pretty nice for the price. When the chair arrived, the packaging was pretty nice. All of the different pieces were clearly labeled and the bolts and washers etc were clearly labeled also. The chair was really easy to put together, it was a little frustrating using the hex wrench but that was my fault for not going to the garage to get my own tools for it. Once the chair was together it looks like a solid office chair. It is a comfortable chair to sit on, I like the mid back support as my previous chair's back did not go as high as this one. I'm 5 foot 9 in. (1.75 m) with short legs and a long torso and the back of the chair reaches the bottom of my shoulder blades, which gives good support. What worried me about other reviews was the placement of the arm rests. Like others have said, they are pretty low. If I'm sitting straight in the chair and let my arms relax on the arm rests, only my hands and wrists touch them, my elbows just sort of dangle there. Its surprisingly not uncomfortable though, and while typing it doesn't really bother me to not be able to rest my arms on the arm rests. Overall I'm happy with the chair, and it is definitely worth the price.
Good value for the $
February 22, 2016
All around good value for the $. Easy to assemble - the fasteners are all individually labeled and they supply an allen wrench to use for assembly. The only slightly confusing part is that the arms are labeled left and right, but when you are staring at the bottom of the seat during assembly you wonder if they mean as you are currently looking at it or right side up. It's right side up.Also, there was another comment about a size 10 woman not being able to get her rump in the chair which I found hard to believe. My size 12 wife easily got in and out without contacting the arm rests. No need to squeeze or smush any parts to get into this chair.
I wanted something that would help me have better sitting posture and this chair is doing exactly that ...
March 20, 2015
Just wanted to post a positive review after one month of daily use. Replaced a larger more expensive chair, and this one is proving to be a positive experience. I wanted something that would help me have better sitting posture and this chair is doing exactly that for me. I am 6ft - 200 pound male and it works perfectly for someone my size if that is a question anyone is looking to answer, glad I purchased it.
A Much-Longer-Than-Needed Review for a Chair
January 12, 2015
I'm a big fan of amazon. I needed a chair. AmazonBasics had a chair. So I bought it.The thought of an Amazon brand chair was exciting to me. I needed an office chair and I wasn't willing nor was I capable of affording a Herman Miller, or a Steelcase, and so on. I've had $200 Staples/Costco chairs and they're okay, but typically not that much better than a chair such as this one. Rather than buying the cheapest generic chair from some generic Chinese company, it was appealing that a company that I have found to be reliable had their own to offer.Assembly: Out of the box, nothing was missing or broken. A booklet is included with very clear instructions and the hardware is separated and labeled in plastic bags; very well executed. One thing that bothered me is when you attach the back cushion under the seat it overlaps with the seat plate. I thought I did something wrong so I took it apart and put it back together for no reason, delaying the assembly process (I might have OCD). In the end, it doesn't seem to be a problem.Comfort/Functionality: The seat cushion is very thick and firm, it's probably my favorite thing about this chair. I LOVE THE SEAT CUSHION. Same goes for the back mesh, comfortable with good support. The pneumatic lift works well. The chair comes with a tilt lock and tilt tension adjusting knob, very basic. The caster wheels are very smooth. I don't really care for the arm rests, but there's nothing wrong with them I suppose. They are placed relatively low, my elbow does not even reach them so I don't use them (I'm 5'8" btw). I'm guessing they did this so that the chair could easily be pushed into the desk without clearance issue. Again, this is not important to me but take it into consideration when buying. No complaints at all. The chair feels very sturdy, nothing creaks or rattles or anything. It's a solid chair.Summary: I'm pleasantly surprised by this chair. It definitely exceeded my expectations and I can see myself using it for a long time to come. It's a comfortable and sturdy, no-frills, no-nonsense office chair. Well worth the money. I really like the seat cushion... I highly recommend it.

Great Desk for the Price
May 24, 2017
Overall this is a very nice looking and okay feeling Desk. Without the glass on the desk it is fairly light due to the material the desk is made from(guessing aluminum).Shipping:The desk arrived in the standard factory packaging which provides okay protection during shipment. If this box were to be punctured on the top there is a chance that the glass which is he top layer could be shattered. There were also some painted metal pieces that were scratched during shipment.Assembly:This desk took me about an hour, working alone, to put together. The instructions are as clear as you would expect there are some doubts (keyboard sliders and whether some parts are upside down). But overall very easy assembly. There is one factor that does worry me. This was the fact that I had to loosen two supports for the main glass to fit. I am actually a little worried that one day I'm going to walk into the office and see a bunch of shattered glass and a broken iMac sitting on the floor.
Walker-Edison metal/glass Desk.
April 3, 2017
I really like this Desk! It fits really well in the corner. I like that it's glass & metal. Easy to clean and very clean lines! However, I couldn't give it 5 stars! The directions weren't as good as they should be. Had to take it apart several times, due to the directions not clearly stating which way to place certain pieces. And the photos weren't as useful as they could have been! As to the under drawer for the keyboard; it's useless for my keyboard! I have an ergonomic one, which is too large for the space. If it were about 1 1/2 - 2" deeper/lower, I could use it. The space is even too narrow to put my mouse on, and use. Now it's just a shelf when I need to set aside papers, etc!Otherwise, it fits the space and does the job well. I have room for my big printer I got, and plenty of room for everything I need, and more!
Good for its purpose
March 10, 2017
I really like this little desk. I got it as an extension to add on to the end of the same model's "L" shaped corner desk (here: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001FB5LE8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1)It's no frills and pretty simple - but I needed something pretty minimalist to set up my workspace for my home office. It shows smudges fairly easily, but that's to be expected with a black glass-top desk. Certainly not docking anything in that regard.Assembly is pretty straightforward. Just be absolutely sure you're orienting the pieces exactly as they're show in the instructions (sometimes you have to peer pretty closely to see what side the drill holes for the screws are facing, it can be easy to get things turned around when you have dozens of pieces of desk and hardware scattered about trying to assemble things). Also when assembling, you may want to keep a rag / paper towel / baby wipes / similar around, as you'll almost certainly end up with a little bit of grease/lubricant on your hands from putting together the sliding rails for the keyboard tray. The price is reasonable, the seller shipped it timely, and it arrived on time and in one piece. It's not spectacular (what I try to save 5 star ratings for), but it does what I need, and looks nice.
Well worth the price.
November 5, 2016
Four years and still nice. I got this November 2012. If you do scratch the underside of the glass, however, then you will see it on the top as well. This is because the glass itself is transparent, but the underside is layered with black paint/paper. This makes it opaque (do not confuse this black table with the smoke variety). It currently supports over 100 lbs of monitors and massive vesa monitor stand (since July 2015). Cable management is a bit tricky, since this is a very "open" design (see my photos). In its life, it has been disassembled, moved across the country, and reassembled. It also supported, at a time, a 25 pound UPS and an equally heavy desktop on the left and right glass (in addition to the monitors). A 10 pound cat walks all over it too.To view larger photos, open the review (https://www.amazon.com/review/RB0TEXACKJC9R). Hover over the image and a "bigger" image will float/pop up. Over over that "bigger" image, right-click, and select "open in new tab". There are currently 10 photos. If photos are missing, it's Amazon's fault (wait and refresh).
Great desk, terrible directions
April 10, 2016
Great little desk for under $100. The only thing stopping me from leaving a 5 star was the instructions-they were not good. I had to remove and reinstall multiple pieces from putting them on upside down or backwards (some was user error but the directions were pretty rough). The pictures were not very clear and you don't realize til the end what is upside down. The keyboard tray was the worst part, very little instruction. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble, would have been considerably less if I hadn't put so may pieces on wrong. Once finished however, I am very pleased with how sturdy the desk is and it looks good.
easy to modify to suit your needs
March 2, 2015
This is a great desk. It was very easy to put together and seems to be quite sturdy. As you can see with my pictures, if you have limited space, it can still work as a "L" desk. The two long pieces are completely separate and can be put together in 10 minutes each. You can simply put together the two long pieces in the area without the connecting corner piece. It is also easy to modify. The keyboard tray was too small for me, as it might be for others, so I decided to use the keyboard tray parts and make it into a monitor stand! You can use the frame of the keyboard tray and simply drill 4 holes into the corners and screw little legs on through those holes. If you want a great looking desk and easy to use and modify to suit your needs, this is the desk for that! Highly recommended

It's a cheap chair that seems to what it's supposed to do.
October 4, 2017
This chair is OK for the price, but it gets a bit uncomfortable after a few hours. There are times when I think my 230lbs of pure bone, muscle and fat will crush the chair to pieces, but it hasn't happened yet. It would be great if it held up for a year or two. Worth a try if you're not looking to invest for something high-quality.Also, the back comes up to my armpits - I wish I had purchased a higher chair with a head rest.
Great chair, watch your tracking on the package
July 21, 2017
Very comfortable, affordable and a great chair all together. I will say this, it took about a month to arrive so I am not happy about that and I had to call and complain because my package got stolen after a month of waiting. They did the right thing and replaced it and I am glad they did because it is a great chair for the price, but be sure to watch your tracking like a hawk!
The chair is very much comfortable to sit
April 6, 2017
Just received it on time from amazon. The delivery time was accurate. The chair is very much comfortable to sit, I use it as a study chair. The assembly was super easy. It took 15 mins to assemble. Also, the best part about this chair is that it is not very comforting: which means that you can study at this chair while sitting up right!!I only had one problem with the chair. The screws were missing but I was compensated for that.I would suggest do not think twice before buying this chair, just go for it. I love it.
Nice chair for the price.
March 29, 2017
Nice chair for the price. Not frequently but it does make a noise like something is right. I am use to a chair that the back is more straight up and had a lumbar option. This one leans to far back causing poor posture. This chair has the option to lean back into it so I think a more straight back would be nice.
Could use more reinforcement, but otherwise a nice chair
February 24, 2017
Package: Well packaged. Tool and screws neatly separated.Instructions: Very clear and concise. Easy to read and assemble. It only took me about 20 minutes to put together this chair.Appearance: Looks quite nice, expensive, and well made.Comfort: I've been sitting on a metal folding chair for the last five years, so this feels like a royal throne to me. With that said, though, the chair is well padded, offers lumbar support, and adjusts easily to different heights.Cons: My biggest concern is the back of the chair. It is held into place with four bolts, into the arms of the chair, two on each side. That's it. No other support or reinforcement - just two bolts screwed into each arm of the chair. I suspect that if I lean back too hard or too often, the back of the chair will eventually break. Only time will tell, but I'd feel much better about this chair if it offered additional support to the back.
Nope.

The material on this chair is paper-thin. And the padding on the bottom is questionable. I think even my finger nail could cause this chair to tear.Editing to add- Upgrading this review to 4 stars because even though the material feels thin... it has held up very well!

Wonderfully Comfortable!
March 30, 2016
This chair was easy to assemble and is great for an office space. It is simple and looks great in a modern room.Positives-The chair only had a few steps to assemble and every step was easy to follow.-So far the chair has lasted about 4-6 months with daily use and it still works just like the first day I assembled it.-The wheels work well with almost all surfaces. I have a shaggy carpet in my office and the chair rolls on it perfectly fine without the need of a plastic mat. It rolls smoothly and without effort.-It is very comfortable and relaxing to sit in.Negatives-The chair arrived with this extra piece of plastic and I am unsure what to do with it. The instructions do not mention this extra part and there is no logical place to put it.-If rotated at a certain angle (For example sitting in a certain way and leaning toward the back) it will make an odd clicky noise.

The Good:-Chair is very well priced for what you get-Easy to assemble-Looks sleek-Adjustable Height-Wheels work wellThe Bad:-Arm Rests dont move-Questionable durabilityThe chair is overall great for the price. It works well for a small desk/home office used occasionallyIf you are going to use it hours daily then it would probably be best to invest into something that more durability and comfort. If price is the only concern then in this range probably your best best.
Good value though the mesh might come loose
April 10, 2015
I got a bunch of these for the office because of the price. Everyone is still using them now a year later and most have held up pretty well. The only downside so far has been a rubber tubing that pushes into the chair that holds the mesh backing in place. It wants to come loose and we have to push it back in. Not all of the chairs are doing this, but enough of them. I figure it is due to how people are sitting in the chair and how much weight they push onto the mesh. The wheels are still working fine, the arms have not broken off, and they are still comfortable to sit on. It is a basic chair but it has held up very well under a bunch of programmers who can be pretty hard on them sometimes.
It was very easy to put together
February 8, 2015
It was very easy to put together. Please note that the chair is small in size and best fits a smaller person. I think the material used to construct it is adequate with strong plastic components. I used longer screws at the base of the chair. I also used metal washers so that the screws were not mounted again the plastic components. The price was right and the size of the chair was just right since I do not sit at the computers hours on end.
Good Bargain....

I am a large guy 5'11 and 280. I am a full-time MIS student and work from home for Apple doing tech support. So I am in the chair quite a bit. I find it to be a good balance between comfortable and firm. The adjustments all seem to work well and it slides flawlessly. I was concerned about the chair quality from other reviews but I took the plunge because I needed something that would pass the Apple Ergonomics team. With the proper adjusting it passed with flying colors for all of their requirements for my desk. The reason I took off one star was because like some others have experienced the rubber grommet that holds in the mesh screening popped out. Which gives me a little bit of a concern about its build quality in the longer term. I was able to correct this using my multi tool pliers and some plastic adhesive. I seriously doubt it will be going anywhere anytime soon. Otherwise the chair is solid and I am able to sit comfortably in it.I would recommend this chair for anyone who is looking for a solid and reasonably comfortable office chair that doesn't break the bank. If you have more money to spend their are definitely better quality, comfort. and aesthetically pleasing units on the market. This one suited my needs quite well and I currently think that it will prove its worth as time goes on. I am really hard on office chairs so if they can make it a couple years with me in them they are survivors. So at this price point with the right expectations this is a good purchase.
This chair does its job.
January 31, 2013
This chair was a snap to put together and included extra parts. I had it assembled in about 20minutes and I am slow when assembling things. The build quality is decent. Only time will tell if the metal plate on the bottom of the chair is made of something stouter than pot metal. Or I could sit down gracefully instead of falling into the chair. It seems to adjust about 6inches vertically which is sufficient for my 5' 9" frame. The armrests are fixed and do not adjust, but I find them to be just about right for me.The small footprint is ideal for cramped offices and the chair rolls easily on the casters (depends on your floor/carpet).This is a chair for people of average weight/height, I would not recommend it for big & tall customers.

Great chair.
August 24, 2017
This chair arrived on time, was easy to assemble and looks great at my desk. I needed something with good lower back support and the shape of the sturdy mesh back is very supportive. I can adjust lean and height easily. Not 5 stars because arm height is not adjustable and seat cushion is hard (but not uncomfortable). I recommend.
Simple, cheap, reasonably good looking task chair
June 23, 2017
Sturdy, comfortable chair, especially if a firm chair is your thing. One complaint is that the arm rests are incredibly low. I'm a pretty normally proportioned 5'11" guy, and it takes effort to get my arms to touch them. I'll probably remove them, as the chair doesn't rely on them for structural stability.Simple assembly with all tools included. It took me about 10 minutes from box to chair.
Overall great chair with room for a armrest improvements
February 20, 2017
Overall I like this chair, especially for the price. Assembly was a breeze. All parts were clearly labeled. Whomever packaged the parts and wrote the assembly instruction booklet couldn't have made it more clear and easy. (A rarity.)I find the cushion to be comfortable and of medium firmness. I would've paid more if the arm height was adjustable, or if at a minimum were able to be lifted out of the way against the back of the chair making the chair essentially armless. I find the fixed arms to be about an inch too low, but if I am just sitting back, relaxing in the chair, my wrists rest on the armrest and it's better than nothing. The height of the chair was very important to me. It was hard to find accurate measurements, so as soon as I put the chair together, I took my own measurements. I hope someone else will find it helpful....The seat is 19" wide x 18" deep. The height to the top of the seat at it's lowest setting is 17.5" and 22.25" at it's highest. The seat height sinks about 7/16" when you sit in it. Because the seat is rounded in the front and not perfectly flat, it makes measuring the height difficult. I placed a thin piece of cardboard on the seat, then a quart sized paint can on top so it wasn't floating. I then measured from the floor to the bottom of the cardboard. I posted a few pictures. (Sorry if they are sideways...they are the correct way on my computer and nothing I did uploaded them right side up on Amazon.)Floor to top of arm height is 23 5/8" at lowest seat height setting and 28 3/8" at highest seat setting. (To determine if it will roll under a desk. This is also difficult to measure as the arm rest is curved. I measured the middle of the arm rest.)Fixed arm height is about 6.25" from top of seat to top of arm.Note many reviewers complained that during assembly of the back rest to the seat cushion, the metal back bar frame overlapped the seat plate. They must have updated the assembly instructions at some point because the instructions clearly state, "the metal back bar frame will overlap on the seat plate." They then show a diagram showing the overlap with another note,"back bar will overlap seat plate when aligning to holes." So, this is not a design flaw but intentional.Overall, I am very happy with the chair. I use it about 4-5hr a day, 5 days a week. So far after 3 months it is holding up well.

June 22, 2016
Overall it's a good chair. I think the armrests are a little low and the seat is a little firm (it will probably soften over time), but otherwise I like it. It was very easy to assemble -- took about 20 minutes. I like that all you need is the Allen wrench (supplied) and that they send along a few extra screws/bolts in case you need them. I had to study the design a bit since the plate on the backrest overlapped the plate of the base/wheels. I came to the conclusion that it was designed that way to provide some structural support. I like the backrest...firm and ventilated. For the price, I'm pleased.
Pretty Basic, But Excellent Value...
April 18, 2016
This is a fairly comfortable chair. I bought this to go with a new desk that I purchased (Computer Desk With Ample Storage. Color: Chocolate). I don't use my desktop much anymore, but I do still need it, and wanted a desk and chair that wasn't too outrageously priced. This chair is just that. If you are spending several hours a day at a desk I probably would not recommend that you buy this chair. On the positive side, the assembly was easy. It took me a total of about 15 minutes to put this together. All of the screws/bolts had a bit of locktite on them, which I like because past desk chairs that I have had, the screws backed out over time. The locktite is intended to prevent that from occurring. The hex key provided to assembly the chair was adequate for the assembly. The packaging for the small loose parts (i.e. screws, & washers) were neatly packaged, and easily identifiable. Instructions were clearly written with clear drawings to show which parts were to be used at each step. I like the padding in the seat of the chair, it is of a good quality. The mesh back rest provides decent air flow.
This is a comfortable chair that can be easily assembled
December 20, 2015
This is a comfortable chair that can be easily assembled. I assembled it on my own without help from other people AND the only tool you need is the wrench included in the package. It is a perfect size for me (I'm 5'4" and 115 lb and I like sitting with my leg crossed). The seat cushion is nice too. I haven't owned this chair long enough to talk about its durability though. Some other reviewers mentioned that there are misaligned holes on the seat, making it impossible to attach the back to the seat. My chair has the same misalignment issue (which is why I gave 4 stars but not 5) but it can still be set up properly. I guess the two metal pieces aren't supposed to be overlapping, but I don't think this has made the chair less comfortable or less sturdy, so I'm still happy with this purchase with the price.

good desk for the price
September 22, 2017
good desk for the price, but it could be a little sturdier, i feel a little suspect putting thousands of dollars of equipment on it, will probably replace it with a sturdier wooden one in the future, for now it does the job though, personally if I was ordering one again I would pay a little more for piece of mind. Also it is a bit short on the length side so if you like having your keyboard and mouse on the same level its a tight fit
Keyboard slideout DOES NOT have space for a mouse and a full size keyboard, DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE, but once together decent desk
September 4, 2017
Difficult to assemble, the keyboard drawer especially. I finally gave up and just used yarn to keep the two arms from falling away and dropping the glass part.Pros -Once together, it feels solid, and the size is nice.Convenient size, holds desktop, two monitors, and a printerCons -Difficult to assemble!! I followed the directions carefully but they were not easy to understandKeyboard drawer is NOT able to hold a mouse and keyboard
Mine had a manufacturer oversight
August 27, 2017
Pretty good desk, except for when I was building the desk together. Unfortunately, the one I received was missing a screw hole in one of the bars for the keyboard tray, making it impossible for the bar to stay in place without taping it. I had to tape the keyboard tray with duct tape to keep it on the track. The other thing I would address is the suction cup placements for the corner surface, were too low, so they don't reach the glass to keep it in place.Other than the manufacturing oversight of the missing screw-hole in one of the keyboard tray bars that you attach the keyboard tray bars to, which, I recommend to you as the buyer, make sure you check the parts to see if they are all there.Other than that, I enjoy this desk otherwise. Plenty of space to work on and fantastic.
good looking desk but flawed design
June 8, 2017
this is a nice looking desk with a flawed design. just beware that the metal the frame is made from is not a strong as you might think. if you were to tighten the screws too much, as i did without really trying, the metal will bend and distort the frame so that the glass plates will not fit into place. also be aware the glass top is "held" in place via suction cups. this is probably the worst part of the design as the glass plates slide very easily if pressed upon from the sides. since it is an open front and back frame there is a lot of accidental sliding when the plate is bumped. the keyboard tray is only large enough for the keyboard. you r mouse has to find a home on top of the desk. and lastly the spot shown in the photos that the computer case sits is only large enough for a store bought case type. the larger cases will be problematic at the least. i had to pull the desk away from the wall to insert the cables into the back panel because my case was pressed against the wall.
Nice and sleek with lots of room but scratches easy
January 10, 2016
Bought this to replace a single glass desk I have had for years. I was hesitant to purchase something this large and glass expecting it to arrive damaged in some form or another. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it and there was only one small tear on the side of the box. The inside was packaged very nice and tight - lots of padding for the glass. No damage at all! It is easy to assemble and can be combined to make one large 'L-shaped' desk or you can omit the small connecting piece and have 2 individual desks (only 1 keyboard tray though). I purchased the black glass and it is nice and sleek looking with lots of room. It also does not take up a lot of room. The only negative comments I have is about the keyboard tray. I was disappointed in it. It is very small and does not extend out far (part of it stays hidden under the desk). If you have a large wireless keyboard or one with lots of bells/whistles it will be too big. A lot of the top keyboard keys will be hidden. However, if you have a regular computer keyboard it will fit fine - they tray will just not extend far. Overall, I am very happy with the packaging and the desk itself.1/15/16 Update to previous review. One more disappointment - I changed my review from 4 stars to 3. I just completed arranging the desk and everything on it the way I want and I noticed that it scratches VERY easily. I had a small desk lamp that I moved from one place to another to just clean the glass and noticed that when I moved it back to its original place there was a scratch from where I had moved it. Ugh! I also found 2 other scratches from moving things around. (By moving I mean picking up and placing not sliding) I had to go back and put small coaster size paper under each thing that can scratch the glass (lamp, speakers, pen cup, etc.). It is still a nice desk overall, but with as easily as it scratches from moving items I am not sure how long it will look nice before I have to replace it again. I use my desk a lot and am disappointed in this fact. I am not sure I would have purchased it if I had known in advance.
good table with some big flaw
September 19, 2014
Bought this to use as my computer desk. Delivery was quick, the table came in well packaged ( a LOT of styrofoam so watch out or it will fly all over your house). The instruction was ok, pretty easy to follow but at time it wasn't clear which side of the piece is up or down. Read it through once before starting or you will spend time removing stuff to redo them. Took me about an hour to get it put together. The desk looks really nice, there are a lot of surface to work with, it's a little wobbly without the glass on top but after you put weight on the desk it's quite stable. I'd give this table a 4 stars if not for a major con, the glass surface looks nice but it's a everything magnet. Everything and anything will leave a stain on the glass, putting a cup down on the table? stain, using your mouse? stain, accidentally touch the surface? more stain. For someone OCD like me this is really annoying, I have to wipe it every 10 minutes or so and so far after a few days of use it's not getting better.TLDRPros:cheap pricenice looking tabledecent instruction to set upcan take a lot of weightprovide quite a bit of surfaceCons:not as sturdy as I would likehard to move around after assembledstain MAGNET, everything will makes it look dirty

Okay chair but not for someone who want to sit and work longer
May 10, 2017
To start with, the chair came in good shape(with minor damage on handle) and shipped as communicated. The assembling of chair is relatively easily and would take no longer than 20 min.The chair looks sturdy and has good cushion. But, if you are looking for some office chair where you want to spend most of the time sitting on it then this is NOT the one recommended. It is okay for those who wanted to sit and work occasionally.
Not the greatest. Not much cushion if at all
March 5, 2017
Not the greatest. Not much cushion if at all. I would have returned it if it wasn't a hassle to have to take it all apart. Bought a cheaper one locally - much better quality. Save your money and spend on one a little more expensive. The one here locally that was 15 mucks more was way more comfy

October 5, 2016
The has to be the most 'basic' office chair available. If I would have know I would have spent a little bit more dough and got a better chair. The back of the chair is pretty short. On the good side the chair is sturdy and rolls fine.Update: Sun Sept 17th 2017 - The chair is on the ropes. Beware of the arm rests cracking and creating sharp plastic spurs. When you grab onto the arm rest to sit down; you can cut yourself. Other than than, and that the chair be starting to become lopsided, the chair has made it with me sitting on it daily for almost a year. I am in the market for a new chair and I will not be re-ordering this one.
but I guess I need to learn to read better. Otherwise
September 23, 2016
Easiest computer chair I've ever assembled. The problem is that unless you are a small child, the chair is absurdly small. At 6 feet tall, the back goes up to roughly my shoulder blades. Not exactly sure why you would make a chair that has that short of a back, but I guess I need to learn to read better.Otherwise, the chair is moderately comfortable if the super low back doesn't bother you. For the price, it is a decent deal. If you are above the height of a child, I would recommend getting another chair though.
I was a little disappointed when I first sat down in this chair
July 5, 2016
I was a little disappointed when I first sat down in this chair, it felt like it wanted to lean forward and dump me out. I got used to that, you just have to be really careful and sit all the way back in the chair. But I haven't even had it for a month and already it has developed a "hard" spot along one of the chair seams, it feels like there is a bar or rod running underneath it. It's very uncomfortable. I will probably have to buy some sort of cushion to place in the seat, otherwise it's going to be way too uncomfortable to sit in for more than a half an hour or so.
Good looking chair, but weak armrest (read updates)
July 31, 2015
I cannot recommend the chair to daily users. Barely 2 days after assembling the chair, I managed to crack the right side armrest as I was shifting my weight to correct my posture; I barely weigh 155lbs and the armrest didn't even bear my full weight before buckling. It's such a shame. The chair looks decent, feels good, and was easy to assemble; it's just that the armrests are terribly brittle.Currently in the process of getting a replacement armrest sent out by Amazon (hopefully). Will update my review with how that goes.(Update) Amazon offered a 35% refund, a refund the cost of the replacement part, a free replacement, or a full refund. I decided to go with a free replacement.(Updated 2) It's now late June 2017 and the replacement chair is still going strong. I suspect the original run of these had weak/defective arm rests that have since been corrected. Overall the chair looks immaculate except for a few minor cosmetic defects: first the vinyl on my left arm rest has begun to fray, a problem that continued use will exacerbate until I patch it. Second, the screw hole plugs repeatedly fall out, they're simply too loose to fit snugly into their holes. Other than that, it's proven to be durable and looks new at a glance, so I'll bump this up to a 3-star product (original 2-star) as its proven to be durable.

Very comfortable but lacks durability.
July 13, 2017
Though I originally loved this chair, It had only lasted two months. (May 8th 2017 - July 13th)The chair itself is very comfortable which is why I gave it an additional star. After sitting on it for eight hours a day for two months, the chair had broken in two areas. The first issue I had was that the chair would fall to the lowest height when I would sit down, though this annoyed me, but it wasn't really all that bad.Two weeks later, the chair would bend to one side and stay in that position. Continually readjusting the chair every day had caused it to break even further. Like I said, the chair itself was wonderful for the first two months, but I guess you get what you pay for. I bought this chair for $38, much cheaper than many retail stores in my area.Amazon referred me to the manufacturer and I must add that the manufacturer was very kind. They had sent me a replacement part, but I feel this chair was not worth my trouble. My recommendation is to read through the reviews and purchase a more durable chair.
not bad for the cost
March 21, 2017
after owning this for about 6 months the piston in the middle has breached and while sitting in the chair it will always deflate to the lowest possible level. for constant office use I suggest against, for casual use its not bad. Aside from that defect its decently comfortable and easily used.
Bargain Chair at Best
May 25, 2015
I would not recommend purchasing this chair at full price. As others have commented in their reviews, the material is very poor in quality. I've purchased two of them while they were on sale and both have after only a year of use, had the metal warp/tear on the bottom center parts causing the chairs to tilt when sat in. I would still recommend the chairs as a temporary option however, if you're looking for something cheap to last you only about a year and only if they are on sale.
I ordered it in spite of negative reviews
January 9, 2015
I read a lot of the reviews, most of the negative reviews were about assembly problems. I second that. The "instructions" are a one page drawing listing the steps to follow. After struggling to remove the hardware from the blister pack I tried to lay out the screws according to the drawing. Forget it. They don't list the size of the screws just a picture "showing" the different lengths. It's easy to mix them up because the arm rest screws are slightly longer than the rest. Even though they show the back support and seat adjustment bracket screws as 2 different sizes they were not. Just as long as you use the longest 6 screws for the arm rests it's not a problem putting it together although I did grab one of the shorter screws and it would not grab the arm rest threads in the seat. Any way at $289 bucks it's a joke but at $55 it's acceptable for use as a casual chair. I wouldn't recommend the hard plastic arm rests for long term use. I may slide some padding over them in the future but it's intended for shorts stints at the hobby table.
Large users beware
September 18, 2014
I should begin by stating that I am 6'3" and 200 lbs. This chair started out great. The adjustments are easy, when you put it into straight-backed mode it doesn't typically slip out and adjusts to suit my height while giving passable lumbar support. I use it for work in a home office and the mesh back and seat were both very comfortable. Now, onto the drawback: The center panel degrades very easily whether you sit upright in the chair or not. After only a few months the plate on the bottom of the seat broke. It is nearly impossible to find a replacement plate or to remove the cylinder, so I had to buy a whole new chair. If you are light or small, this is probably ideal. If you're tall, muscular, or overweight, expect failure after a few months unless you only use it rarely.
It's a chair.
August 18, 2014
I recently bought this chair to replace a $900 Herman Miller Aeron that I needed to sell due to financial difficulties. Let me start by saying there's no way the original list price for this chair was $289. This is a $20 chair that I paid $56.69 for because I needed a chair to sit on ASAP. This is not a particularly comfortable chair, and nothing is adjustable except the height, but it's a chair and it will do for now.

Not bad, not great, you get what you pay for
June 19, 2017
Easy to put together and the price is right. Arms are not comfortable at all. I regret skimping out on my chair--I should have spent some extra money to get a nicer chair. But it serves its purpose and isn't too expensive. If you're going to be in this chair every single day, get a different chair. If you just need an extra desk chair in an office or something this will work just fine.
Good chair for the price
April 19, 2017
This is a good to average office chair. It is easy to assemble and sturdy. It is a solid chair, but it is not as refined as other chair in the $100 range. I guess you get what you are paying for. It is by no means a bad product. The chair is solid and works as expected no issues thus far. It is comfortable. It does leave me wanting to spend the extra money to get a more refined chair. There is a lot of hard plastic and lower quality materials. But it all works good and are solid for the price. The only minor issue with the chair is that the fabric gets balled up.
Good Chair, Needs Better Arm Rests
January 11, 2017
Decent chair for its price, easy to assemble, and good quality. I think they could make a few adjustments that would better suit the customers. I would pay an additional 10$ or more for adjustable armrest. I'm 6'1" and have broad shoulders, the arm rests are too low so the only way I get to rest my arms are with my elbows.Pros:Mostly comfortableForces good postureGood qualityEasy AssemblyCons:Armrests to are low, needs to be adjustableDoesn't support my upper back, that could be because the armrests are forcing my upper back to slouch.Rough armrests, wouldn't mind being more comfortable but I'm being picky at that.
Ok product that doesn't stand up to test of time
December 1, 2016
Overall a decent product with faulty parts. The cushion wears down in 2-3 months and the wheels become uneven quickly as they wear down causing the chair to wobble.
Overall a Good Bargain - for a student
November 12, 2016
This is not a high end, long lasting chair. The mesh back is not the elastic mesh I would want for a business chair. However, for a college student this will work just fine. The base could be slightly larger for added stability, and the back should be more comfortable. We've had it now for about 2 months and it works just fine. It came with all parts and instructions and was easy to put together. I will also say that the student I bought this for is over 6 ft. 4 in. tall and at full extension fits him just fine.
Invest in a higher quality, more adjustable chair if you plan on using this as a main chair.
September 11, 2016
First off, I'm 6' 4'' so take that into account with this review. There isn't really a good way to sit comfortably in this chair. The arms are way too low, the back support is too far over the chair, and the choice is to either sit with your chest leaning over your legs, or sit with your bottom halfway through the seat and lean back (with horrible posture). It's fine if you plan on sitting for <1 an hour, but I would suggest not using this as your main desk chair. Spend a few extra dollars, go out and find a chair that fits you well. It's not worth saving a little money and getting a subpar office chair. I got a new, nicer chair less than 2 months of having this guy.Since then, I took off the arm rests, and use it as a chair to practice guitar in. For that, it's fine.

Missing parts, wrong model.
May 11, 2017
Screws were missing, I don't even have the parts for the sliding keyboard. I have 4 extra pieces which do not belong to this unit. I have extra screws and bolts that do not even belong to this desk. I don't have screws to secure the desk onto the legs so I had to improvise. This is what scares me about shopping online for items big as this. I like the desk, but not the effort put into packaging it. I looked online and I may have a totally different model.
Wobbles. Requires DIY support. See picture.
January 6, 2016
This desk was designed for an "L" shape desk, but they decided to sell this separately (I have both so I know). Problem is without the other pieces this desk wobbles left and right even without anything on top. I can't imagine anyone putting a monitor or any weight on top it. Unless you buy the three piece "L" shape desk, I would not recommend buying this solo piece on its own.I did some DIY solution and added support to the bottom. Now the desk is SOLID. Cost me no more than $10 for material. It doesn't look as nice, but what good is a good looking desk that doesn't work?
Good design but not good enough
December 20, 2015
This desk computer desk took extra time to assemble because of poor parts/materials. The hardware does not include essential washers. The washers are needed because it is assembled with hex screws to hold the steel frame pieces together. Hex screws have a small head. That small head moved into the frame pipe when tightened. Afterwards, the desk frame was extremely loose and unreliable.Poor steel combined with missing washers made the assembly a project. We added washers to the black frame for every screw. The silver washers clash with the black frame. The keyboard guides popped the tray frame out when we tested it. The frame holds a glass shelve. You don't want a glass shelve falling onto your legs with your keyboard tray right behind it.We added steel wire to the bottom of the frame and tightened it to keep the keyboard and glass shelve from popping out. Still, I have been using the keyboard with the lightest finger taps I can press. If I move the keyboard to the top of the glass desktop, I loose the space I need to work. The desk has a good design but needed hardware and cheap steel has made this a risky investment. I am an engineer and appreciate good design and execution. It appears someone cost cut this desk to maximize something else. Profit perhaps; at the cost of safety? This desk is not safe for kids. Adding washers is not difficult but the insecure glass keyboard tray should have you think twice about this desk investment. If you do, ask yourself: will the tray hold or will it fall?
Not so great.
February 17, 2015
Well, the desk once it's together, is pretty nice. but putting it together was a challenge. there was a hole drilled crooked in one spot, and another hole was drilled in the completely wrong spot in another place. This resulted in me having to re-drill these holes. fixing the crooked hole was pretty easy but making a whole new hole on the other piece was more of a challenge because there was no way to mark where the other piece met, plus the height had to be perfect or else the glass top wouldn't fit correctly- so I had to do some measuring first.Pro's- Decent quality once assembled. looks niceCon's- Assembly can be difficult if you are not mechanically inclined (I am assemble displays at my work frequently and this still took over an hour for me) it's slightly smaller that I actually expected, but its not that bad. I can't fit my computer in the little corner very well The issue with the holes in the wrong place. If you don't have the tools or abilities to fix that this could turn into the worst purchase ever. Returning this would be a real hassle because it weighs 60lbs and the packaging is a challenge to put it modestly.overall, I would say that I would NOT buy this again and I would NOT recommend this to anyone, especially if they cant drill that hole.
Assembly is good except for the near fatal flaw of the keyboard ...
February 1, 2015
Warning, the keyboard tray will NOT hold a keyboard and mouse. Assembly is good except for the near fatal flaw of the keyboard tray slider; you have to detach the two sections using a tab (for both sides). The tab simply does not work. It took over an hour (and getting grease all over my hands) to finally get lucky detaching the tabs. That's frustrating, but you only have to endure it once. The shock came after the desk was assembled and we put the PC on it. The keyboard tray is a defective size; there is no place to put the mouse. Apparently none of the designers actually put one of these together and put a PC on it. It's useless to anyone who does intensive or modest PC work, gaming, etc. Returning it is nearly impossible because the packaging can't really be put back together once the desk is opened either.
Nice looking desk, but quite flimsy
July 23, 2014
Just got this in black for my home office in medical school. The size is a little smaller than expected, but that's my fault as I quickly laid out the dimensions at home without double checking. The desk isn't very deep, and it isn't very tall but you can roughly adjust it with the screw bottom rests.Very attractive in black. Very flimsy. I expected with the metal frame that it would be quite solid, but I am pretty disappointed that even as I type this review it is slightly rocking back and forth due to my arms being on the desk top(the desk is firmly planted up against a corner wall). There's no way I can put it all back together and place it back in the box to return it, although I would definitely do so if it were easy. For now I'm going to attempt to reinforce it and see if it can get me through the next two years. More likely I'll give it away and get a proper desk.Skip this one if you are planning on using this for anything other than leisure.

My ass really hurts with this chair.
July 27, 2017
This chair sucks, looks good, but not real easy on one's rear end. I'll probably buy a cushion, it's like sitting on a board. Be a great chair for the set of "You're pretty face is going to hell." This chair is hell on my ass.
Too small
March 30, 2017
Too small, I'm 6' 2" 225. and this is made for someone half my size. Width at the are rests is 19" which digs into my legs. Giving it to my girl friend. She and her mom are half my size. Measure what you have to replace and look for something with the same general dimensions. Or go to the Office store and sit in one. Probably the best way. -hth
Overall the chair is just alright at best. There's a lot of play in the base
May 12, 2016
Overall the chair is just alright at best. There's a lot of play in the base, even with everything completely snug, you can feel the base rock back and forth on the bolts...which I'm sure after time will cause the chair to fail. The cushioning on the chair is average at best. It's firm with very little give. If you're using it as a work chair, it could definitely become uncomfortable after an 8 or 9 hour day.I actually chatted with Amazon because the faux leather has already begun to peel and flake...The individual I chatted with told me that since it was outside of the 1 year (by less than a month) they couldn't offer any type of compensation or replacement (although I never asked for a replacement). I find it a bit troubling that in such a short time after the chair began experiencing issues, the warranty was also up. Typically Amazon customer service is top notch, but in this case, they simply hid behind the 1 year warranty and wouldn't stand behind their products at all.

Introduction:I purchased this chair in an effort to find a chair that I was comfortable sitting in for long periods of time.Pros:You can disassemble the chair when moving and reassemble it again at its new location. You don't need any extra tools, screwdrivers or anything like that. It comes with a metal screwdriver type thing that you use to tighten all the screws. The material it's made out of is nice. It's bonded leather which feels like leather but is a little softer and has more give. It's not a single piece of leather; it's pieces that were glued together basically.Cons:You must assemble it yourself. Assembly is generally easy except for putting the back onto the chair. It does not have adequate lower back and lumbar support. This makes the chair inadequate for long-term use.The metal that's covered by the black cylinders will become very sticky after assembly and use. Not sure what it is. Maybe lubrication. It comes with little black circles to put over the screws so they can be covered. However, these things fall off and never stay on. I would rather they had not included them at all, to be honest. The arm started creaking two months into use. Tightening the screw helped for a short period of time but now it creaks permanently. As I was getting onto the chair, I put all my weight on my left elbow and it snapped the left arm right down the middle into two pieces. Conclusion:Overall, I am disappointed in this chair. I was hoping for a chair I could sit on for long periods of time. This chair was not like that, and even if I had liked it, it would have started creaking and the arm would have broken on it anyways. The leather was wasted on a chair that forces you to have poor body posture. It also wasn't the cheapest chair. A moderately priced chair that performs poorly, with leather...
Evenly priced chair for your hard earned money that brakes down really quickly
August 9, 2015
The product quality 3 out of 5The only reason I ding the product quality is the bolts are hard to line up with the arm rests. Especially by yourself. The padding on the arm rest is a bit thin for it to be comfortable for long durations. The material has the feel and look of leather, but for the price. It's probably something synthetic that has the feel and look of leather. Though that's great as leather will crack and split with heat versus synthetic material lasting longer. The jack on the side of the chair works fine. The wheels are pretty smooth, so you shouldn't have issues rolling around in this chair. I use this chair at a mobile computer desk, which the setup works great for me.The product price 3 out 5Go look at the other prices around. It's pretty much around 50 - 75 dollars. Usually 50 dollar chairs are way uncomfortable, so for 75 dollars this chair was a steal. Update: Not so comfy after extended sitting in this chair. Better to look to higher end products with a higher quality in parts used. Otherwise you will get something made like this. Cheap.....The sturdiness 1 out of 5Wow, yeah the arms on this chair break really easy. I am talking barely putting a little pressure on them brakes them into. Not so sure on the supposed limited warranty on this chair. The comfort 3 out of 5The arms are very thinly padded, but you get what you paid for. The seat itself is ok for a few hours at a time, but you will mostly likely end with a cramp in this chair and require a stretch.OverallDon't expect much from this cheap office chair, though like most products made in china; They don't last long. Look elsewhere for a higher quality office chair. Even the chairs from IKEA last longer, which a friend of mine has one.
Chair arm broke after a week. You pay for what you get with AmazonBasics
July 19, 2015
Got this chair for my new apartment, and it was great for one week until the arm broke. I'm not a big person, 5'8"/130, so I was surprised when the arm just snapped when I pushed on it getting up out of the seat. I read the other comments about the padding and height, but since I'm on the lighter side I figured I could make it work. The back is short, and the padding is a bit thin, but both are relatively good at this price point. If not for this defect it would be a solid chair at a reasonable price. I don't seem to be the only one with the arm-break issue, just be aware of the realities of cheaper products. Also, it's annoying that the only options for full refund or replacement require you to send the item back - a desk chair isn't exactly the easiest thing to ship back.Update: Called Amazon, was able to get a partial refund and keep the broken chair, but was surprised that I couldn't just get a replacement part for the broken arm. I sort of assumed that since it was their brand (AmazonBasics) that they'd have an army of these things and their corresponding parts for replacements, but that's apparently not an option. Silver lining is that luckily mine broke within a week so I was still able to get Amazon's help with the partial refund, but next time I shop on Amazon I think I'll be avoiding anything branded AmazonBasics.

Broke in 2 years, unfixable
March 25, 2017
Worked for two years until the metal started ripping. Yeah. The seat is slowly tilting backwards to the point where you can't lean on the seat-back without the chair falling over. Un-fixable issue for an owner. I'd say 2 or 3 stars is appropriate for 25 or 26 months of use. I didn't do anything fancy with it, so I'm not sure how this metal alloy could have literally ripped from normal use.
Seat cushion is worthless.
November 28, 2015
Lasted one year. The seat cushion compressed to the point that it feels like there is nothing there. After a year might as well have been sitting in a wood chair. Only used it for a couple hours per day. Only complaint is the seat cushion quality that rendered the chair useless. I only weigh 160 lbs.
The piece that holds the seat back to the seat ...
October 26, 2015
The piece that holds the seat back to the seat bottom is heavy plastic. It's not adjustable, and if you lean back a lot, the plastic deforms over time so that the back angle changes permanently.Ultimately the pneumatic column that raises and lowers the seat height failed, making the chair unusable. Well, you could use it as a "practical joke". Put it in a conference room and wait for your victim to sit in it. It holds up at first but gradually lowers the person to the ground.
One missing screw and one crooked screw
August 28, 2015
I received the chair in perfect time, but when when I'm putting the chair together following all the steps, the first thing I notice was that I'm missing a screw, specifically one of the K screws. Then I find that one of the J screws was crooked. I need to know if they can send me the replacements for those two screws. I have attached two photos.I'm hoping that this review will make them send me the screws that I need. If it weren't for this, I would have given this chair a 5 star review, because so far it's doing the work and it's comfy, but I'm pretty scared I might fall from it.
Meh
August 8, 2015
This chair is actually pretty uncomfortable... The arm rests are kind of harsh, the back mesh is alright, the fabric mesh is kind of abrasive as well. The seat is really cushion-y, its nice and has nice loft to it but this chair makes quite a bit of noise which I wouldn't expect until I've sat in it for the next 5 years at least. My favorite chair was from Wal Mart believe it or not and it lasted me and my sister through our college years for 10+ years! And that was just $50. Sadly, Wal Mart doesn't make them anymore. This chair passes but I'm not really all that happy with it and can't return it now...

Not good, only passable
September 22, 2017
I weigh 230 lbs and am 6'4" - I sit in a Herman Miller at work and enjoy it.The seat of the chair is too shallow and presses against the bottom of my legs, which limits circulation. This is because the front edge of the seat rises. The seat itself is semi bowl shaped, where the Herman Miller slopes down subtly at the front edge so there is limited pressure. The back of the chair shifts side to side when you move giving it an unstable feel. Additionally, neither the seat nor the back is particularly comfortable. It feels like a cheap chair because it is. This chair feels like something you buy at a yard sale. You would be better off checking craigslist of Nextdoor and hoping someone wants to ditch ANY office chair for $20.However, I wouldn't send it back because getting into the box would be a hassle and I still need something in the office when the office is used. If I spent any real time working on my office, this chair would not be acceptable.
This is the worst purchase I have made from Amazon
May 24, 2017
Cheap made chair. I weigh 134 lb and I have had this chair a week, the cushion is already starting to get flat and very uncomfortable. This is the worst purchase I have made from Amazon. BAD QUALITY.I want to return this item.
Horrible even at the low price
May 1, 2017
I dread to think of the number of people forced to sit in this chair for hours a day. The back support is non-existent, the arms are uncomfortable and the seat cushion is terrible. If you need to sit in a chair for more than 10 minutes at a time do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a decent one.
Set-up and assembly was quite easy and self explanatory so I give that full marks
July 10, 2016
Owned this chair long enough now to get a solid opinion on it.Set-up and assembly was quite easy and self explanatory so I give that full marks.Sturdiness/product build quality is up there, doubt this thing will break on me anytime soon.My main problem lies in comfort!A lot of reviews said this was comfortable for long periods of time and it had a good cushion but it really doesn't...The cushion is there, but it doesn't actually cushion anything it is pretty stiff and uncomfortable even after an hour which is why I rate this so low. I feel very letdown by this chair honestly, and had I known it would have been this uncomfortable I would have simply saved myself $70 and went to get a different one although it's too late.....If you only plan to use it for like 30 minutes at a time then why not, but for someone who needs to sit down for hours at a time throughout the day for work this is definitely not the chair you will want!
Seemed like an all-around good chair
June 19, 2016
First ever review, but I thought it was worth telling my story.Bought the chair, assembled it. Seemed like an all-around good chair, and quite comfortable. Then I realized that the lift for the seat was malfunctioning. The chair sank every time I sat on it. I.e., the lift failed to stay up.I started to disassemble the chair to return it, and I soon realized that I couldn't get the lift off the star-shaped base, and I couldn't get the seat plate off of the lift. Realizing it was stuck and that I wouldn't be able to fit it in the box to return, I called customer service. Amazon's customer service reps were VERY nice and accommodating. I received a full refund, and I'm allowed to keep the chair (though I don't know what I'll do with it).Just a heads up for anyone considering this chair.
dissapointed
April 5, 2016
I just got my chair yesterday, my husband put it togetherWhat I like about the chair :1) it looks great2) good price3) very sturdyWhat I don't like and hope Amazon fixes:1) the arm rests- they are too short and is the same as if it had none , not sure what Amazon was thinking. This should be adjustable or at best, the right heighth2) The seat is very firm , I would have like a little more plush, but wouldn't mind this so much if it wasn't for the low arms3) overall not comfortable for me who needs an all day chair, I work from home. For a short period of time use is fine.I would love to return this but it is such a hassle to take apart and ship back. not sure what I will do.

Glass Broke
June 29, 2017
We purchased the desk, very easy to build. Unfortunately the glass shattered already, a little over a month we had it, The only thing we had on the glass was a small monitor.
Hate this desk
October 10, 2016
Hate this desk. I know many really love this desk but in my opinion it is too low of quality for my taste. The keyboard tray is a joke. I'm not a tall person (5'2") and found that it was very uncomfortable. Without the desk connected with the corner pieces it would be very rickety. The desk looks nice but just wasn't for me. Ended up investing in a standing desk for a good chunk of change and haven't looked back. Gave the desk to my brother and he likes it so that is good...

March 10, 2016
The frame was a bit of a pain to put together - some of the pre-drilled holes did not line up correctly. The glass arrived completely shattered.I would love to have been able to give this a full review based on use, but alas - I could not use it. I had to pack it back up and return it. The entire thing. They couldn't just replace the glass. Terrible.
Item Cannot Be Assembled Correctly
February 14, 2016
This computer desk would be an excellent item for a small space and work well for a large desk top; however, the item was poorly made and the keyboard portion was not drilled correctly. As you know items sent through the mail are almost impossible to return, and if they have not been checked out to assure they can be assembled correctly, the customer spends hours attempting to correct the problem plus incurs expenses beyond the worth of the item. To be able to use the keyboard return, I will have to find someone who has a metal drill to drill a hole for the screw on the keyboard or attempt to use superglue hoping that it holds up as the keyboard portion is pulled in and out to use. Amazon does not provide an easy solution to return this item, and since I did not buy it directly from Eidson I am stuck trying to deal through two sellers. I would not recommend buying items such as this through Amazon, and at this point would not recommend by from Walker Edison.
Avoid, pain in the neck
January 25, 2016
I would avoid this desk. I needed two inexpensive desks when we moved. I got my wife the Origami RDE-01 Computer Desk from Amazon. Folds out and snaps together. No tools needed. Easy peasy, and a good, solid desk. I got this Walker Edison, a little bigger, for me. But it had 19 pieces and 58 screws and bolts. Plus the package was missing 6 pieces. Walker Evans refused to send me the 6 missing pieces weighting about a pound, so I had to ship back the entire package weighing 66 pounds and wait for a second desk. This delay was a big inconvenience for me. Plus the thing was complicated to put together, easy to goof it up..
Tempered glass shattered !!
October 14, 2015
This morning the tempered glass just shattered to a million pieces .. The only reason I can think of is that my 11 yr old left the laptop on whole night and the heat from it was the reason !! Poor quality tempered glass !!To amazons credit they promptly agreed to send a replacement desk , but am still skeptical about the glass !!

I thought I'd save a few bucks. I was wrong. I got a chair that cannot be put together completely. Unless you know how to have two objects occupy the same space at the same time. (See attached picture) I guess they did not make sure all the screw holes align when completely put together. Save your money, time and temper! Don't buy this!

This is a really bad chair.
May 5, 2017
This is a really bad chair... The mid-back height is shy of being comfortable (I'm 6feet tall), and the padding is virtually non-existent after a few weeks/months. It's become so uncomfortable, i'm looking for a new chair even though this one is perfectly fine structurally. On a positive note, the pseudo-leather has some pretty good durability.
Cheap fabric not worth $

After only sitting in this chair a few times the seam split open. Very thin cheap fabric. I'm bummed to find I just missed the return window of 30 days.

Breaks slowly but surely
July 23, 2016
This chair does not hold up to regular use. Not too long after I purchased this, it began to tilt; I thought it might've been a problem with how I set it up, but in fact it has only gotten worse since. Furthermore, the mechanism that lets it go up and down slowly began to fail if I sat on it in certain ways; again, I thought it might've been my fault somehow, but at this point it immediately goes all the way down when I sit on it, and all the way up when I don't. Don't buy this chair.UPDATE: I figured out why the chair was so tilted. One of the metal pieces broke in a very nasty way.
seat is not comfortable and backrest fell apart
June 18, 2015
For a cheap chair this chair looks great. But the quality is just not there 2 to 3 weeks after purchasing the backrest mesh actually detached from the backrest. The mesh is attached to the back using staples which are covered up by a rubber gasket which runs around the backrest. it looks like the staples were too soft to actually penetrate the hard plastic deforming instead meaning the mesh was actually being held on by only a couple staples. Eventually the staples just gave out and the mesh detached. Fixing it yourself with a standard staple gun is impossible since the groove which the gasket fits into to cover up the staples is much too deep. The seat, which was comfortable at the beginning, ended up being compressed within five days until I was sitting on mesh covered plywood.
Dont waste your money
March 17, 2015
Junk, bought 4 of them and after 2 months they are almost all broken, the welds under the chair support all bend and break. It says they hold up to 250 lbs. No one who sits on them at our office weights over 200lbs. Dont waste your money.
Broke in 3 months of daily use. Poor quality material !
December 23, 2014
I have used this chair for only 3 months and it broke. First the rim that encloses the wire mesh started coming out. I pushed it back in but it used to come out every now and then. I was just leaning back and the plastic broke. Image attached. This is a flimsy chair and I wouldn't recommend it for daily use. I am not sure what the warranty terms on this are :(
If you can afford it, look for something better
December 7, 2014
I bought this for my son for Christmas in 2013. As I was sitting here looking to buy him a new chair for this Christmas (2014), this model popped up and reminded me why I am shopping for a new chair.I liked the design and the fact that it is not overly large -- he has a very small bedroom and so this worked out great size-wise. Unfortunately, that is about all the positive I can give it.Like other reviewers here, I found assembly to be complicated by the fact that the screw holes were misaligned, requiring the strength of Hercules to get the parts together. Once together, though it looked to be fairly solid. Alas, this was not to be. By July the back had fallen off multiple times until my son just left it off in frustration and used the chair like a stool. Then the seat started falling off.By September, the thing was back to pieces, and those pieces went straight to the dump. Right now, this chair is listed at about $54. To my mind, that is a very equitable price for this chair, but I wouldn't spend more than that.
Not really suitable for everyday office use.
October 22, 2014
Update: 1/28/16. The chair has not completely fallen apart. I wish I had never bought it. Good office chairs cost a lot of money. This chair does not cost a lot of money. That's doesn't mean it's not good, it's not uncomfortable, but it's designed to look a lot like the expensive chairs you see in offices with mesh backs. The similarities end there. This chair, made inexpensively in China, took about 1/2 hour to assemble due to the fact that some of the bolts did not like the idea of spending their lives in the chair and therefore were reluctant to grasp. The chair cushion feels stiff and when pressed, actually feels like it's filled with Styrofoam packing material. Almost crunchy. At about $68, but more at Staples, I'm hoping to get a good couple of years out of it. Next time I just might spend the $200 or $300 for a chair that will last for many years. This chair will not stand a lot of use, in my opinion, and would certainly not be suitable for everyday office use. It's okay, I hope, for my occasional use as my computer chair, and would likely be a decent choice for a student for the same purpose. But if your kids are living in that chair, between homework, web surfing and game playing, you'll likely want a better chair. Even $100 to $150 buys a much better leather chair. Happy sitting!

Came with a little surprise
October 5, 2017
The box the package came in was clearly damaged but didn't have openings. That being said, the product was full of small rocks and rat crap inside, so they likely got in before shipping. The chair itself is high quality but had a rat stench in the cushion. Even though it's unlikely most people will encounter the same problem, I recommend staying away from Amazonbasic products and purchasing from dedicated brands through Amazon. I'm just happy I didn't meet a new friend in the box.

Broken piece
September 17, 2016
Chair came with a broken piece, I realized this half way through assembling it. Called Amazon and all they offered was a replacement after I shipped back the chair that was already halfway put together and to hard to take apart because of the broken piece. Do not recommend, from reading other comments now I see that others were broken or defective as well.

The seat gets hot in a hurry. The cushion is particularly hard compared to chairs I've used in the past. It is the singularly most uncomfortable chair I've ever owned. I'm buying another chair that will hopefully be better. But owie! My back has been killing me for days and I spend a good deal of time at the computer/desk area studying for law school.
