good game, my son enjoys playing it.
Husband loves this game!
November 26, 2016
I don't know much about video games but my husband still plays this all the time even a year later. It came just as promised and works great! Also I'll just say I've watched him play a lot of videogames and this game seems a lot different than your typical first person shooter, which is extremely interesting. Definitely worth trying if you're on the fence.
Must be good Hubby & Son love playing this game!!!
November 2, 2016
I really can't comment to much on this game, as it was purchased for my son, and hubby who are both gamers... I've asked them for details on the game, and etc oh boy you would think I asked them to have a baby or đŸ˜€ something. All I get is not now babe, I'm killing something, or mom see you đŸ˜” got me killed!!! Oh I'ma... LOL anyways they can go buy their own games, or PS4 stuff next time!
Calling All Guardians
October 4, 2016
After two years and multiple DLC expansions this game has had more hours played than any other. At times the game can be a grind, and at the moment when I think I will quit playing a new DLC gets dropped and our interest gets re-kindled. Through the years there have been some high and low points but the game is massive and if you are just buying it will offer you hundreds of hours of enjoyment. The developers and the community have had a love/hate relationship and many ups and downs but in the end we are guardians, devoted to the cause.
I love this game
October 24, 2015
I bought this PS4 version for myself and the PS3 version for my nephews. I started in year 2 which I think was worth the wait because the Amazon price drop to $15 for vanilla disc + an additional $30 for the Taken King Collectors Edition DLC code, I ended up spending a total of $45 for the complete game. Thanks for everything Amazon! I put COD AW to the side now and been playing destiny for 3 1/2 weeks, and now a level 40 Titan with 4 or five exotics and plenty of legendary weapons. I love this game! Amazon has the best Competitive Video Game prices on high end games!
Awesome game
July 15, 2015
Great game I love it, I really like that you have to earn your armor in order to go beyond level 20. Destiny has some beautiful scenery, events and missions are pretty entertaining as you progress. Yes you do have to buy the DLC in order to continue your story and have new missions, at the end of day the gaming industry is a business after all. If the thought of earning your stuff sounds awful then this game is not for you. The game is pretty well thought out, so if trying to Google something is too much for you then this game is not for you. Multiplayer is very well-balanced just have to watch out for the bazooka heads. I don't play very often but I do enjoy playing this game when I get the time. There is a lot to do you just have to figure it out as you move along, everyone has their taste and this is definitely mine.

The graphics leave you O.O (wow)
September 8, 2015
My grandson loved this game! His words "The graphics are so realistic it's as if they were right in front of you" (he's 7) but don't let that fool you. He knows his games. I thought the same thing as well. Although this is my first COD game ever I must say I was "Wowed" by the graphics and the sound well I must say, the bullets, the snipes, the bombs, the shots, the explosion sound super clear as if they right right next to you, Peeew! I loved it! This game is so action packed and I'm glad I got it for that price. The clarity on the faces leave you in disbelief. The shots hit with such accuracy. Some people complained about the speed of the game/gamers being way too fast to keep up with and so that held me off for a while thinking my 7 year old grandson although he wanted the game badly would not be able to keep up, but nope all smooth so far. I love the story line it's so realistic. My favorite game right now. The price was great as well.
Really great game. I enjoy it a lot. Good story, if a tad short. But definitely worth a late buy.
July 29, 2015
Really enjoying this game so far. I think this one will get me to finally make the jump and get a PS Plus account so I can play online. I really want to check out the EXO Zombies mode! The game is fast paced and very well written. It's way too short of course, but that's been the modus operandi of the entire C.O.D. series since it moved into the 21st century. But the short campaign is a good one. It's full of all sorts of amazing moments and I really just liked playing this game. Glad I waited until it was much cheaper, aside from not getting the Season Pass with the Pre-Order. That would have been nice. I'm sure I'd have long since been a PS Plus member then. :)

I love it!! That say's a lot because I didn't like ghost at all. Couldn't get through the story cause it was just eww and I didn't like the online play. Plus idk, it was just something about ghost that was very unappealing... Advance warfare is drastically different. I love the exo-suits, the guns, the story is amazing!!! It's just a damn good piece of work. Much better than destiny in my opinion. Destiny has a crap story that doesn't make any sense. Advance warfare is totally different. The one thing i don't like is the exo zombies (the fact that it wasn't included with the game). The mode is fun, but i like playing the other stuff more. Well, my review is mostly based on the story and exo zombie mode. I haven't really got to play much online. The one time i did i had a lot of fun. Also, if you plan on buying this, its much cheaper to get advanced warfare stand alone under 30, plus buy the exo zombie pack with it. If you get the gold addition. You are technically getting cheated... That's how i was able to get mines.
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare for PS4
March 2, 2015
bought CoD Advanced Warfare for my boyfriend, seeing as I got him a PS4 it made sense to get him a few games too just to get him started. I myself have played this game, and compared to past CoD games I like this one the best including the zombie mode. This is one of my boyfriend's favorite games and he loves this version of it especially. We haven't had any problems with the disk playing or anything, all has been as expected. Item arrived on time, and is definitely a great deal for the price.
Amazon is great, etc
January 13, 2015
Fast delivery, everything went as planned, Amazon is great, etc.For the game itself, it is important to remember that this is a Call of Duty game. If you watch gameplay or hear people's opinions, don't be freaked out by how "different" it looks or sounds. At its heart, this is another CoD game, and if you're good at CoD, you will do fine in this one too. It is certainly more fast-paced than prior titles (and can get a little crazy), but this is truly an improvement and is simply the next step for the franchise -- but reflexes are key. And camping is largely nonexistent!I would definitely recommend playing at least 2 or 3 hours of the single player (I stopped around 3) before hopping into multiplayer because it eases you into the new gear that you'll be using. Plus it's pretty badass.
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare
January 4, 2015
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is the second 1080p/60fps Call of Duty ever. While Ghosts had the same resolution, Advanced Warfare looks a lot sharper than Ghosts' graphics. It is also the first Sledgehammer COD game, (unless we include MW3 even though Sledgehammer barely did half of the work there). For a first game I think Sledgehammer did a awesome job!Campaign:The campaign graphics are amazing and look so sharp that you will think that it is a realistic film. In fact, the campaign it is a good way to start before moving to the multiplayer mode. I have one complaint about the campaign --- its end was not as cool as other COD games. I missed an end with great graphical effects like a slow motion surprises, or a lot of blood and gore.SPOILER ALERT The bad guy grabs your hand so he won't fall to his death and if you won't push him up you will die with him so you just cut your hand of and the bad guy falls for his death.Exo Survival:Exo Survival is a cool mode that for the first two weeks you can play it for hours, but after that it gets boring and you forget it is in the game.Exo Zombies DLC:Exo Zombies is a DLC exclusive that I bought separately. I have to say that even if it is not the same as the original Treyarch's zombies Sledgehammer did listen to what we want and made this exo-zombies mode. I really appreciate it and enjoy this exo zombies mode quite a bit .Multiplayer:The multiplayer is the main part of the game. I want to start addressing the fact that every year the COD multiplayer games are very similar and folks in the web complain a lot about this lack of novelty. This time, Sledgehammer changed the multiplayer game play with exo suits. The exo suits make you double jump in the air so people that do not like chaos will get a bit of a problem... An example of benefiting from the double jumping ability, is that it can save you if someone behind you starts shooting at you. Using the exo-suit you can double jump above him and start shooting him from the behind. Just to make it even, your opponent can also use the same double jump ability, so it is a fair game. The guns of the game are pretty balanced, many of them are of a similar decent quality. Of course at every game you have some guns that are better and some that are less good, which also depends on personal taste. Still, I think that there is only thre guns that might suck, but that is not that bad remembering that game offers dozens of decent guns.A less appealing aspect of the game is the supply drops, which makes the guns quality less even among fighting players, as I am going to explain: The supply drops are like cool boxes that you can earn from them armor and a variety of guns. The quality of the dropped gun changes by levels. The most common level is called “enlisted” (with guns that most of the time suck), then next level is called “professional” (supplied guns are ok), than “elite” (guns are almost always awesome), then “royalty” (that is like “elite” with an awesome camo (color) and a bit more ammo or range...), and finally the rarest level of supply drop is “legendary” (that is a beast, I had never the luck to get). The problem with these supply drops is that some variants are OP (over-powered) but you need to be very lucky to earn those guns, so people wanted a faster way to earn these guns so sledgehammer made the Advanced Supply Drops DLC (sold at extra cost), with those it is much easier to earn the high levels like elite, royalty, and legendary. Since they cost 2 dollars each, the problem is that whoever payed more money will have better guns and win more gun fights. Also they made some new guns that you can earn only from advanced supply drops (costing money) so with a regular supply drops (free) they are very hard to get. In a sense, in my eyes Sledgehammer got a bit greedy, and whoever pays the full initial price for the game, is still disadvantageous compared to heavy spenders that can access better guns. The maps in this game are very good – unlike in Ghosts you will not be shot every two seconds from behind your back. The game modes are very fun and I am very happy the remake the mod war from COD WAW with his new name “momentum”. I am also happy that they made a grapple playlist mode and uplink mode. The pick 13 in create a class was nice , but I liked more the pick 10 from cod bo2 , because the scorestreaks in the game weren’t so useful so people ran more perks or attachments instead of scorestreaks. The Exo ability is cool and very useful , but the grenades and secondary’s are garbage.Overall I really liked the game, despite the single reservation raised above, and I think that every FPS fan should get it!

Didn't like it at first, now a huge fan
March 30, 2017
Initially I didn't like this game at all. I was easily getting killed by the Royal army and the village hunters. I even thought of selling this game. Then I've watched few videos in the youtube before started playing again a week later. I was hooked on to it from that moment. It not just about shooting, it teaches you strategy on how to kill your enemies. There are few glitches in the graphics rendering, here and there. But I like the attention of details they've put into this game., like: Royal army soldier snoring while guarding the outpost and burning trees. Only thing I hate it when dogs/honey badgers attack, its difficult to look for them before you aim and kill them. I've completed 10/34 campaign missions so far. Yet to explore the north Kyrat. But the game is not allowing me to travel north, I need to complete more campaign missions. Overall its amazing game, wish there was a local multiplayer option.
Far Cry 4 = Pure gold.
January 30, 2016
This became hands down one of my favorite games. The scenery is gorgeous, the environment is gorgeous, the story is immersive.. It's just a stellar game. I love the fact that you can play the game time and time again because with the interactive environment, you never know what is going to pop out at you. One minute you're all alone fighting rebels in the woods, and then a tiger hears the gunshots and comes and attacks the guys you're fighting and you as well. Or, you could be hunting a rhino and suddenly rebels pass by on the road and see you and then suddenly you're in a fire fight and then the golden path shows up to help fight with you. It's just a fantastic and incredible game. You can hunt for days, you can play the story, you can play the side missions.. You can do anything you want. The little buzz copter thing was my favorite combined with the grenade launcher, it made for some easy travel missions. Or how about riding an elephant and having it attack all of your enemies? Need I say more? I hope the newest Far Cry will be as good as this one, but it's going to be very hard to beat. Kyrat is a beautiful place and full of equally beautiful animals that could help you or kill you at any turn.
Gives GTAV a Run for its Open World Money
August 24, 2015
This is honestly one of the funnest games I have played in quite some time. I have grown tired in the post-COD4:MW era of first-person shooters because I haven't found any COD game, or most FPS's related to it, worthwhile. The Battlefield series has been decent, and for me Destiny is really the only FPS over the past 7-8 years that I found truly worth the price tag (I am not a Halo fan). But Far Cry 4 combines above average FPS gameplay with a unique game environment, unpredictable open-world experiences, and a story that will keep you interested. This is something along the lines of Tomb Raider meets GTA for me, as the open-world of Kyrat, the fictional Himalayan setting of the game, is lush with environments full of enemies, diverse types of missions, and wild animals that will surprise the heck out of you when they attack. I haven't ventured into the online multiplayer much because I have been quite enamored with the story mode, but I'll provide an update once I venture into it.As for the story, it has an Uncharted feel to it: American protagonist ventures into an exotic land and fights a ton of villains. The protagonist, Ajay, is not that interesting himself but his comrade's and their enemies are very interesting characters. Also, the journey he is on is one of self-discovery, as Kyrat is the homeland of his late parents, and as their story unfolds, the game becomes more and more interesting. As with most open-world games nowadays, there is the main campaign and a plethora of side missions, all which seem to provide over 30 hours of fresh gameplay. This is the first Far Cry game I have ever played, so if fans of the series are used to the quality of gaming provided in Far Cry 4, I feel a bit foolish for missing out all this time. One of the things that I enjoy most are the variety of weapons present in the game (everything from a bow with flaming arrows to a bazooka). If you haven't explored this game yet, there's no reason not to buy it now that it is basically priced as a Greatest Hits title.
Amazing!
August 9, 2015
I'm sure this game has been reviewed to death already, lol, but since I just played it recently, I thought I'd add mine to the mix. Anyway, this game was amazing. Technically, there werent necessarily any real upgrades from Far Cry 3 as far as gameplay and such goes, although the graphics were definitely even more amazing. I'd actually say this is possibly the best looking gen 8 game yet.So, speaking of gameplay....it was as engaging and fun as ever. Really, I could run and drive around Kyrat all day every day and never be disappointed. There is a ton of stuff to do, plenty of objects to find, all of which carrying their own piece of a few different stories. The flight suit was also super cool.Troy Baker as Pagan Min was inspired. I dont know that anybody could ever top Vaas as a video game villain, but Pagan Min was right up there, and Baker played the role to perfection. There were quite a few interesting characters in the game, but Min really stole the show.As always, your moral choices tend to be more of the best of the worst type things. You wont really feel great about either story arc at times (there are basically two, much like with FC3). Neither really represents a "good guy" type scenario. Lesser of two evils kind of deal here. That said, there is a little leeway. In my playthrough, where possible, I let people live. Sometimes, that doesnt even work out well, lol.Anyway, the story was pretty engaging IMO. It wont win any prizes necessarily, but it does keep you interested and wanting more.Did I mention the elephants? Holy ##### the elephants! They are complete bad ###es, and you will defintiely want to take full advantage of your ability to ride one into an enemy outpost and wreak havoc. In fact, the first outpost I attacked, they had an elephant penned. I shot the elephant in the behind with an arrow from afar, and it basically went beserk and took care of the entire outpost for me while I watched the whole thing through my binoculars, lol.Did I mention the Rhinos? F### the rhinos. They are also bad ###es, and they dont really discriminate, lol. Everybody in the area is a potential target for their ill temper and rage. They are also incredibly resilient. You will waste a ton of bullets trying to take one down. Also, once they figure out that you are the one shooting at them, they definitely dont hesitate to let you know just how little they appreciated that treatment. At one point, I literally just fired a grenade launcher at an enemy courier when a rhino came out of nowhere and smashed the courier. Just then, a rebel truck and an enemy truck both rolled in and everything started attacking everythign. As I watched in amazement, and eagle swooped in and attacked me. After I fought off the eagle, looked over and gazed upon the smoking ruins that was several vehicles and a bunch of once living people, with a rhino sauntering off looking pleased with itself, I thought "You know, this is what Far Cry is all about right here".btw....eagles....by far the most annoying and vicious creatures in a game that also features honey badger, rhinos, elephants, and so on. They move fast, they can come from any direction, are huge and can carry off smaller prey (like goats...which you will see happen), and view everything as prey. F### those eagles, lol.I'm sure you can tell from reading all of this that there is a lot of content and a lot of randomness in this game, which really adds to the experience. This is a living and breathing game world, and it doesnt stop just because the prodigal son (you) sees fit to wander through it.I cant recommend this game enough. Buy it, play it, love it!
What a blast!
February 23, 2015
I have over 10 hours+ into this game and I really love it. I played FC3 and 2 on the PC prior to this and many of the game play elements have been carried over into this version so you start with a system you know. The game has been solid with no error screens or hiccups to speak of.My favorite things so far have been the scenery. I like to take the ripper (gyrocopter) everywhere I can and sight-see. I fly it to locations like towers so I can get in and out fast. I also like to ride the elephant with the RPG ready to take out enemy trucks, etc. My primary weapons are throwing knives and LMG with red dot for close in and the Sniper Rifle when approaching from a distance. What a great game!
Elephant riding 101
January 12, 2015
Very realistic, constantly entertaining and extremely addictive. This one has it all... story, drama, violence, gore, comedy, and... wait for it... elephant riding. The elephant. The absolute BEST vehicle in any game I have personally ever played, and when you use the elephant as a weapon while riding it, and it's a very effective and efficient weapon, your enemies will run for the hills. The graphics have every blade of grass, strand of hair, and even direction of the wind down to an amazing and entertaining science. For more in depth reviews, you can find hundreds here. I am here to inform, and maybe warn you about one thing in particular that could happen to you, or rather your character. When you befriend and ride an elephant, he has your back. He'll even wait for you to finish your business at a camp that needs liberating. I do, however, suggest you do not stand "behind" him for too long or you will be sorry. Your health will be just fine, but your shoes, pants, shirt, etc, not so much. I found out by taking a phone call while just having dismounted an elephant and standing behind it without pausing the game. BIG messy mistake. It was, however, pretty amusing explaining what had happened to the person on the phone who happens to not be a gamer. Take a few steps back or you will get into, rather covered in, his "business". I mean, that's unless you're into that kind of stuff. Also, NEVER leave the game unpaused if you must leave it temporarily or, other than having elephant dung rain on your parade, much worse can happen. Happy riding, and let's keep it clean!

Item was exactly as advertised. Gave 4 stars due to the fact that disk was covered in finger prints. But item was described as used and good condition. So I'm not upset because they didn't try to hide it. But wish they would run their disks thru a disk cleaner first. But also there were no scratches and game works just fine..
Fun Replay ability but you have to get through the "story"
February 10, 2015
I love the game play and I could easily do strikes for hours on end and most the time I do (I have completed 1,023 strikes. Yes i know I have no life haha) I have a good number of friends who are always playing this game so strikes with friends can allow you to finish them really quickly ( assuming all of your friends have the necessary gear) but strikes with randoms can usually mean a long strike with little to no help from your fireteam (there has been many strikes I set out on where one or both of my other fire team members are AFK or not moving. Moving on to the story line... or complete lack there of. I knew as much about the Human, The Exo, the Awoken, the Darkness, The Hive, The Fallen, The Vex, the Cabal, Titan, Hunter, Warlock, The Stranger, The Traveler, etc. at the start of the game as when I finished it. How did these people/robots/pale people receive the gift of Light? How did they come about? How did the Darkness start making its way to our Solar System? When did it? Sure, you could collect all of the 69 ghosts available (this includes Expansion 1 ghosts) and then go online and read the Grimorie cards for all of the things within the game. Why not take the time to explain some of it during the cut scenes or during game play? Both The Stranger and The Traveler say that they could explain it. Stranger says and I quote, "I don't even have time to explain why I can't explain." Traveler says and I quote, "I could tell you of the great battle..." WTF!?!?!?! Then why don't you?!?! To me, this story telling was harder to understand than trying to read a Shakespeare play in Old English before learning the basics of the alphabet. Nice try Bungie, strikes are fun and so the raids (when they don't glitch out and force everyone to wipe for no reason except game coding error) but your story telling days as with Halo seem to be at an end.
It feels like Halo with a new skin and features
December 20, 2014
Let me first start with this, you can ell this game was made by Bungie. It feels like Halo with a new skin and features. This isn't a bad thing. Let me break it down into some key points.Cons--->The storyline is forgetful, don't play this expecting your mind to be blown.--->Be prepared to redo missions/bounties continually to level up. Not unusual but theres not as much variety as in other MMO;s.--->Like any other MMO, you will need to harvest materials for upgrades. Pending the material, considerable effort may be needed.--->ONLY a three person "fireteam" per bounty/strike. This is a bummer as a larger group size would have made it funner.Pros---> Great graphics, the environments are awesome.---> Great FPS for a MMO. The MMO aspect doesn't degrade how the game mechanics handle for a FPS.---> It is repetitive, but it is also fairly addictive. Doing strikes in a three man team at levels higher then your character is challenging enough to make it fun.---> The crucible is fun. The multiplayer maps are fun and the 6vs6 PVP in clash is great. It has the feel of Halo but with key MMO related---> Overall the weapons are fun. Some seem to be overly powerful but I'm sure that will be further balanced with additional patches.Overall its a fun game. If Bungie continues to support the expansion and maintenance of this long term, will be well worth the purchase.
A good MMO but a couple of major flaws prevent it from being great.
October 14, 2014
It's been a little over two months now that Destiny has been released. Despite all the criticism from the critics and fellow reviewers, I still found my experience to be quite pleasant. The game feels quite balanced as not one class seems too powerful and you can't seem to buy your way to the top of this game (not yet anyways, usually a problem in MMOs). I've been playing for a bit over a month now and Destiny still keeps my interest. The game play feels quite solid and Bungie has continually been making tweaks to make sure not one weapon is too powerful. Bungie has also attempted to keep things fresh by implementing random "public events" throughout the maps that random strangers can get together and clear as well as a playlist of "strikes" that allow you tackle different bosses (think instances/raids if you're into MMOs) in about 15-20 minutes at a time.Unfortunately, Destiny suffers from some pretty major flaws albeit not game breaking. The largest flaws being: the lack of a way to communicate with the people around you is a problem if you don't plan to play with your friends (voice chat is available if you do) and there's no way to get to the highest level raid content unless you plan to play with your friends. However, if you have a bunch of friends that have Destiny on the same console you do, this game turns into a game you should definitely buy.Pros:Level cap is easily attained because it is so low, lets you get into the high level content pretty quickly. Most balanced MMO I've played since World of Warcraft (original version, back in the day).Cons:Maps get extremely repetitive, about five or six maps if I recall correctlyLevel cap is a bit lowCan not attempt highest level raids without a group of friends that have Destiny, no matchmaking system to pair you into groups (i.e. Raid Finder in World of Warcraft). No real way to communicate to others on your map, there is no chat other than voice chat with friends in your party.I know a lot of people gave Bungie flak for releasing this game but I personally have had a blast with it!
Middle of the road...so far
September 12, 2014
Overall I think the game is not great, but not horrible either. I will hold final judgement until after the game evolves a bit.Overall:-Positive:--Graphics are great, which is expected--Gameplay is sharp and simple, not uber complex, which should benefit a wide range of folks--Replayability (you have 3 separate characters to build and refine) & like Diablo I believe they are all linked as far as money goes and your 'stash'-Negative:--A little repetative still, but again I will see how the game evolves and grows.--Probably my main gripe is the Map or more accuratel the lack of a quality Map. You have something that resembles a map that shows you were other players are and where the enemy is moving, but it would be awesome to hit a button like Diablo and bring up a map of the areas that you have uncovered, or something like that.--Load screens can be annoying, but hey whatever--Online only - The ONLY reason I put this here, is because some folks simply don't have the ability to play this depending where they are (deployed locations, simply don't have great internet at home, etc)Hope this helps some folks.
Great game but it has it's issues.....
September 11, 2014
So here's what I think about the game SO FAR. (Given that I'm level 10 with 4 hours played)Pros: The game has a great feel to it. I decided to give this game a try since I'm a HUGE borderlands fanatic and halo fanatic.- Although this isn't very imprtant to much, but the soundtrack is pretty awesome. The main theme being the best.- Graphics on this game are pretty good looking, if i'm not mistaken I believe it is using the same graphics engine as Halo 3, 2 because they look very similar just updated graphics to fit current gen consoles.- Accessibility: all of your gear is at your access and the layout makes things very easy to access such as weapons, gear, and character upgrades. All you gotta do is press options and its all there.- Weapons: Although its looting system is no where near as vast as the Borderlands series, each gun has their cool attributes to it. And some even have nice camos to show off your gear.- Multiplayer: Now the crucible is definitely VERY competitive. If you didn't put tons of hours into games like Halo expect to get decimated by the bunny hoppers on the battlefield. But overall, the feel of multiplayer is ALOT of fun once your dominating on your killstreak, the maps are a lot of fun as well as taking your legendary gear into multiplayer (yes you can do that).- Strike Mission: Strikes were advertised as being EXTREMELY difficult, and hats off to Bungie for living up to that. These missions are probably some of the most difficult missions you will ever encounter in any FPS game. They take strategy and a full team to beat it otherwise you will be raging for hours trying to do it solo, but overall they have a high retention rate (making you want to play them again) and they are EXTREMELY difficult. Now like every game, no game is perfect so here's where I get into the issues of the game:CONS:- Multiplayer: Now i know what your thinking, "Didn't you just post this in Pros?" and yes I did, but the multiplayer has its problems. I'm VERY judgmental when it comes to NETCODE. Now I come from a video game series where netcode was tearing me apart (I.E. Battlefield 4) the netcode in this game does have it's issues. There are those moments where you WILL get shot around the corner when you know you made it around that corner. Kill trades are another problem (kill trading is when you both kill each other at the same time) basically there will be those moments when you go to melee someone and you both end up melee each other even though you melee'd him first. It's really weird but it happens. But for the most part some of these issues don't happen as much now since netcode has improved SLIGHTLY.- Looting System: Now I wasn't expecting a Borderlands looting system but I was expecting something decent. Majority of the guns in this game are found out of sheer luck or you can buy from the gunsmith. But I was hoping for big boss battle's to drop loot similar to enemies in Borderlands having designated legendary loot drops, but unfortunately this is not the case, matter of fact they drop nothing but ammo most of the time and occasionally some pretty terrible loot.- Voice Acting: This isn't a huge thing that should bother you when thinking about buying this game but, the voice acting in this game is pretty terrible. You're ghost does most of the talking but overall dialogue is like it was written by a 12 year old, it just doesn't work.- Boss Battles: Now this one REALLY was disappointing. When battling bosses at the middle or ends of missions, most bosses have "phases" or special attacks when you reach a certain part of the battle, but unfortunately you are literally just shooting at the enemy for about 5-10 minutes straight and that's it.- Storyline: Although I haven't completed it yet, the storyline just feels really weak to me. I'm on the second planet and I'm still trying to figure out exactly "What is the point of this?" From what everyone tells me, the story is literally only 10 hours (thats If you rush the storyline or do a speedrun).- Leveling: Now I don't have a problem with leveling up but what I do have a problem with is the fact that the level cap is ONLY at 20 for now. (If you unlock a certain part of the game called Motes of Light, this level cap can be increased to 30).- DLC: Now lets get this formality out of the way first (I AM A PLAYSTATION 4 PLAYER) but that doesnt mean I don't think about everyone else, given i have an xbox as well as a gaming PC, I find it a bit unfair to xbox fans that they have to wait AN ENTIRE YEAR to be able to have access to this game's DLC. If they were gonna make it a year, you might as well have just made the game a PS4 exclusive. Seems a bit much to me.Final Thoughts: So overall I think you will enjoy this game. If your a borderlands, or Halo fan, you just may like this game, just don't expect a whole lot from it. As far as some of the cons that I listed, I do hope to see the level cap increased FOR FREE (because i didnt buy season pass yet). If you got $60 to throw out and wanna just have some PLAIN FUN then you will like this. I gave it 4 stars because I just wanted a new and fun shooter and that's what this game delivers, otherwise if your into some series competitive shooter, stick to halo. Hope this helps those unsure about buying!

Loved pretty much everything about Advanced Warfare:1- The story2- The villain3- The overall look of the game (art style, mechanic concepts, how CLEAN it looks)4- Overall motion is very good (double jump, slide, etc.)Its a lot better than Ghosts and Black Ops 3, and really, the campaign is GOOD.
Rock Solid FPS by Sledgehammer
May 27, 2015
This is the first Call of Duty not developed by Infinity Ward or Treyarch and I think Sledgehammer did just great. While faced with a steep learning curve with regard to EXO movement, once fully grasped, the gameplay potential from boosted movement takes the game (and genre) to a new level. Connections are good, hit detection is good, graphics are good and, well, it's an enjoyable CoD multiplayer experience. My only gripe would be the costly DLC map packs which, for me, are pretty mediocre. I bought BOTH map packs on XBOX One and after swapping systems to PS4, I refuse to buy-in. The exception being Drift, which I think is a really awesome map.
For me, an almost perfect experience, exo suit is a great new mechanic

In college, all my friends were into COD, but I was more into Netflix and girls. However after my business closed down a few years ago, I began playing video games to deal with unemployment and depression. I found MW1 and MW3 in the $5 bin at Walmart and instantly fell in love with COD because of the campaign. At the time I didn't have Wifi at my apartment and I wasn't able to play multiplayer. By the time I made it to Black Ops 1 and 2 I did have Wifi and started screwing around in Multiplayer. The last time I really played multiplayer FPS was GoldenEye for the N64. There was a steep learning curve as by the time I got into BO2 all the DLC was released and Ghosts was even out. So people were already master prestige and really good. I put 10 days into BO2 and am like 5 ranks short of Prestige Master, but then I got a job and as a reward for myself I got the PS4 bundle with Destiny. The whole reason I got the PS4 was for advanced warfare, and while at first I loved destinys gameplay and double jump ability, I soon grew tired of the grind and traded it in. After every thing that has happened with their DLCs I'm glad I did. Onto Advanced Warfare. After playing Destiny, I LOVE the EXO Movements. I feel like I have total control when it comes to double jumps, side jumps, power slides and slams. The campaign is what you should expect from COD, nothing special. The exo-survival is actually pretty fun for unlocking the zombie avatar in Multiplayer. To multiplayer, I really enjoy it. I hooked up with a good clan at release and won a few clan wars and got cool gear for my soldier. The maps are mostly all fun besides 1 or 2. At this point 2 DLCs have been released and with that, Exo zombies. Zombies is fun and hard, and once again, I feel the exo movements add a cool degree to it. Why I gave AW 4 instead of 5 is occasionally there's really bad connection issues and lag. Around MLK Jr day the lag got so bad I couldn't play for a week. I'm looking forward to the next 2 DLC packs and to see where exo zombies go. The new grapple mode and LMG/shotgun the Ohm are both extremely enjoyable to me. I've seen the BO3 reveal and they have removed the exo mechanic, which I think might be a step backwards for the series. I know the exo movement was really polarizing for fans of the series, especially long term players, but as a 2 year COD player, I think it was great mechanic and hope to see it in future games
Feel like a supa soldia!

It's great. It's first time with the series and I'm loving it. The campaign was awesome. It was straight forward and not too challenging. It was great to feel super powerful after getting my butt handed to me in Bloodborne. The multiplayer is fun. I guess I like run and gun stuff. I've only played team death match and find it super addictive. The pacing is fast and ridiculous. So for novices the campaign will be amazing and the multiplayer will be balls difficult. Kevin Spacey was great!
Fun Game
January 13, 2015
I have played many CoD games. My friend and I bought and played CoD: Ghosts and we got burned out of the franchise. I bought this game on sale during the Amazon deals before Christmas, and could not have been more surprised! This game is good. I have enjoyed the multi-player aspect of the game ever since I opened it. The game seems fair and balanced. The exo suits add a whole new dimension to the game. There are many online game types to play. I love how you can upgrade the score streaks to do different things. This is what a next gen game should be like, not the crap CoD: Ghost! Now, if I could talk my friend into buying "another" CoD game life would be good.Update: I have seen a lot of one and two star reviews talking about the multi-player of this game. The multi-player, with the exo suits, reminds me of an older PC game called Tribes. There is a lot of jumping and "hoovering", but it adds another dimension to the game that was not there in past CoD titles. I still can not speak much about the single player game, I have only did one or two parts. For 39.99 you can't ask for more enjoyment!
Great gaming experience
January 3, 2015
I'll admit that it's been some time since playing a CoD game. My last was Modern Warfare 2. The game has come a long way since then. I feel the storyline and graphics are the most noticeable evolutions to the franchise. They are very immersive and I find it hard to imagine the game can realistically get much better looking in upcoming years as sequels continue to roll out. Here are a few pros and cons I'd like to share from a novice prospective:Pros:*Beyond what I previously stated, the exo suits are a nice addition to the in-game experience and further add to the storyline.*The controls are pretty consistent for CoD games and this allows for a smooth transition into this title.*The multiplayer win streaks have been toned down substantially which is nice because back when I played my last title, a camper could easily rack up 10+ wins in a row and constantly bombard you with bombing runs and other nasty bonuses that he/she earned.*The multiplayer cards and customization abilities allow for a much improved experience.Cons:*Although I enjoy the exo suit in the game, my preference in multiplayer is to go to classic modes where they are eliminated. Just fully realize this is just my personal preference and I'm not slamming the exo suit. My gripe is it's an overkill for multiplayer. I simply don't like jumping around like a rocketeer while trying to shoot.*The weapon systems are very enjoyable and the slide/dash feature for movement is fun but is basically useless if you begin taking fire and are not sprinting to make it more effective.Overall, this is a solid game and very enjoyable to play. I would highly recommend it.

Good game, but not for me
December 3, 2015
Haven't never played any of the Far Cry titles, I didn't know what to expect from this game. I assumed it would be a first person shooter with tons of action. I what I didn't expect was an open world action first shooter game with tons of missions and side missions. At first, I enjoyed the game, but after awhile I became overwhelmed (lazy with the side missions) that side track from the main storyline. Not to take anything away from the game, its an awesome game. I know for sure if I had the time and patience like I did when I was younger, I would love this game. If you have the time and tolerance buy this game.
More of the same, but that's not a bad thing!
November 3, 2015
If you have a played a Far Cry game before you know exactly what you are getting. If you are new to the series, it is a good FPS (first person shooter) with some RPG (role playing game) character progression thrown in. It is easy to lose track of time wandering around collecting items and playing the side mission. If you played a Far Cry before I would advise waiting until you have empty spot in your gaming schedule, but if you are new to the Far Cry world this would be a nice holiday pick up.
Not as strong as Far Cry 3, but a worthy game nonetheless.
September 1, 2015
It plays very similar to Far Cry 3, but the story is not as engrossing as it was in the previous rendition. The story follows a man who was kidnapped by the ruler of this Indian providence. There are two main story lines (You can go with the traditional male's story or go with the revolutionary female story) and the ending has two different choices as well (no spoilers here though). The gameplay is very similar to assassian's creed or dying light in the most broad sense. You must climb to the top an area to gain vision of the map around. Once you control that base you can infiltrate an enemy encampment. After taking over that you get missions in the surrounding area. There are about 20 radio towers and maybe 30 bases to conquer. There are 4 strongholds which are extremely strong bases (that apparently get weaker as you progress in the game). You can be loud and destroy bases with pure brute force or you can stealthily take out every base without being spotted. That is your choice. Personally I tried to do them about 50/50 and it turned out fun either way. However, I recommend if possible Far Cry 3 over this game due to the fact the story line is vastly better in #3 t han in this one. But this game isn't garbage either so shell out for both if possible.
This is a great game with tight controls that will provide hundreds of hours of enjoyment
June 10, 2015
Game and movie reviews are subjective. This review will really only be helpful to those interested in this genre. For those new to the Far Cry series, each game has its own original story and characters so it is not necessary to have played the previous games to enjoy it fully. It is a first person, open-world sandbox game with a main quest narrative and a ton of side quests and random encounters that you can enjoy or avoid. No story spoilers here AT ALL. I will only say that the narrative is compelling but somewhat familiar, well done but nothing truly original. Actions and decisions will affect the game environment and the story but not as much as I'd have liked. Ultimately it is an enjoyable ride story wise.As for gameplay, you can play as you wish for the majority of the game. Play stealthy or go in guns blazing or mix it up as you see fit or the situation changes. As you progress, you can build your character by unlocking skills that lend themselves to your play style. There are many unlockables, mainly in the form of weapons and their customization and accessories.Pros:- Huge world divided into 2 main regions. The first is open to you, the second will be unlocked at a certain point in the main story.- Fun co-op mode (can be glitchy though)- You can play how you want. Quest, Hunt, Outpost aquisition (tactical gaming elements), Radio Tower aquisition (platform gaming elements)- Hundreds of hours of gameplay.Cons:- Some elements can feel repetitive (if you focus on only one game element at a time)- Some decisions you are required to make feel forced, like you have a choice to make only so they can employ multiple endings.Bottomline: This is a great game with tight controls that will provide hundreds of hours of enjoyment so long as you enjoy the genre. It may even convert those who don't.
A welcome Surprise!
March 14, 2015
I have spent a lot of time of this game to experience as much as possible and I was rather pleased with what I have payed.First off this game looks amazing and runs very well, the new setting is a welcome change compared to farcry 3.The sound design is amazing with guns having lots of impact and a very well done soundtrack.there are a lot of improvements to the game like the amount of guns and signature guns you can get. and the character are modeled very well with lots of detail even on random NPS.Gameplay wise Farcry4 is essentially the same as before but with tweaks and new features like the ability to fly your own small helicopter, which makes exploring the giant world amazing and shows off the games very far view distance and the games beautiful world. you can also shoot from vehicles which is very fun and makes for a lot of cool moments.the Missions are much more open and allows for more choice when it comes to combat which is great for people who don't like being directed what to do, also thankfully the QTE fights are gone and the majority of all fights are very minimal when it comes to cut-scenes.the Drug sections of the game have been replaced mostly by entering shangri la and those are very cool and allows for some beautiful visuals and allows for outlandish designs and eventsThe story is rather interesting but your character isn't too interesting aside from his position in the games story. his voice acting is good but he doesn't get much development. but everyone else is pretty well acted, especially Pagin Min, who is an amazing antagonist.I also enjoyed the balance of power missions that allow you to take sides between the too idealistic revolution leaders, whom are very well written and give very good reasons for their ideals.great game with not many flaws and, make sure if you get the game make sure you either have a PS4,Xboxone, or good PC.
Outstanding graphics and gameplay, feels repetitive after a while.
January 31, 2015
For the most part I am highly impressed with Far Cry 4, and I'd give it 4.5 stars if that were an option. I feel like so much of the praise and criticisms of the game that I have read are valid. Graphics are amazing, combat is intense, and there is a TON of game here. Even the story is pretty fun once you play all the way through it. Where I find myself disappointed is that the game begins to feel very repetitive after a while, and the multiplayer could be more innovative. The environment is fairly static and aside from a few missions where you're in the snow, the scenery is the same for the entire map, and because it's such a huge map that leaves something to be desired. I would like to see more variety in the scenery. The gameplay itself also feels repetitive: you traverse a stretch of terrain to basically go wipe out another base, and you survive the onslaught of wild animals and random factions of enemies along the way. Your character grows stronger, develops more capabilities, and attains better weapons throughout the game, but the game itself plays pretty much the same the whole way through. There a lot of side quests that are fun, but they're also repetitive because you're essentially doing the same thing but in different spots on the map (e.g., wiping out a propaganda center, finding hidden objects, hijacking enemy freight trucks). However, I'm not trying to bash the game. It is a beautiful game and very entertaining. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is because of the amount of repetition; the game needed to invent more variety for itself.

It was fun and *somehow* kept getting me to buy the expansions
August 7, 2017
It was fun and *somehow* kept getting me to buy the expansions.Lacked a depth to the story and writing at the start, but the stages were fun, and unwinding after work by popping alien heads was enjoyable. The Hard-mode of the Raids were punishing. Mechanics that were "do it OUR way or insta-death" is obnoxious. No clever ways to solve the fights on our own killed my desire to re-fight them after the first. Let alone try and get Platinum on achievements.Super-Focused on PvP where there was awful player/team matching meant you were either the steam-roller or the fodder, and as i've never been great at console shooter PvP, that put me more or less in the latter category. It would have benifted if they'd used the Halo-3 matching player-level system where people of similar skills were always the same level and you could have a really great time in PvP and *maybe* improve.I now await Destiny 2.
Build up the anticipation and just kind of a let down.
November 17, 2014
So I was seriously rooting for this game when they announced this game. I let the fever and hub bub of the game die down. It has been over 2 months since the game has come out, and can honestly say....It is just ok. They seriously left some big holes in this game. Yeah ok, the story did not make sense, big deal....When people play FPS'ers, who really pays attention to the story? Most just want to hit the button to get to the next thing to shoot or blow up. But, all and all.....the game was really "lack luster", it literally has only about 5 dungeons that you play, over and over again so monotonously. It gets to a point where you are just so bored and drooling over your controller and just hoping to score some kind of sweet gear. Mind you I have done all the dungeons on hardest modes and the Vault of glass, there is simply nothing left to do.They claim it is kind of like a MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing game), like World of Warcraft. However, I am just not connecting the dots. They are too linear and do not have much more to offer than go here and kill that (being the same 7 quests). Sure WoW has that similarly, but it is on a much broad scope with much more intricate thought put into each quest and dungeon. This just seemed like they had something, removed a large portion of it, and planned on charging the consumer much more for the "expansions" down the line. There could have been much more for the time frame they were working on this. This game was in development for about 6-7 years.
Okay
November 11, 2014
When I got this this game was between 50-60$. I would wait until it is cheaper. I fell for the hype and I kind of regret my decision. The game's core mechanics are great. The gunplay is beyond amazing. This may be the most technically sound FPS I have played. The shooting animations, reload animations, weapon switch animations, and scoping animations are all smooth. I have also experienced no bugs in the game. Also, the PVP is great, although some weapons are way overpowered, but Bungie has been tweaking them at times. And riding the sparrow is what I always imagined riding a speeder bike from Star Wars would be like.My biggest problem with the game is the complete lack of story. The story jumps from plot point to plot point with rough transitions, or even no transitions, and it kind of feels that chunks of the game have been removed. Also, who your character is is never explained. Their is no character development, and The Speaker and The Stranger are two of the worst NPCs I have seen in a game.At this time their is no matchmaking for the raid, which for me is a big deal. You can go on Bungie's website and join groups and a clan and find people to run the raid with, but I feel that that is Bungie's way of forcing the social aspect of the game on players. I understand that the raid is designed to where players have to communicate, but I don't understand why they don't just make a requirement that you have a headset. My last big issue with the game is the lack of content. Running the same strikes over and over again is irritating.
Shoot, No loot, Repeat
September 26, 2014
pros- the concept of mashing up an fps game with an mmo was the first thing that intrigued me since I love both. The game has good quality in terms of fluid mechanics, detailed environment, immersive interaction, and beautiful graphics.cons- The story is horrible and don't even know if that was considered a story since nothing was explained. The game play is repetitive. Loot is not acquired by skill, just by investing hours of your life and hoping to get lucky by coming across something good to show your friends. Game is designed for people who just want to farm and raid all day doing to the same thing over and over. I can't do that.Go watch angryjoe's review on youtube of Destiny before you buy because he explains everything that is wrong with the game, but still being very fair to bungie. I still play the game because there is nothing else, and it just feels like a chore everytime I start playing.
Mileage will vary depending on what you are looking for
September 16, 2014
It's difficult to review this game fairly. It's value and rating will greatly depend on what you expected from it. It was sold as an mmo/rpg space opera shooter with an expansive story and galaxy spanning exploration. From those categories, I can give it different scores.System, Music, and GraphicsFirst, the graphical and gameplay aspect. In this area, Destiny shines. It is well polished, graphically impressive, and easy to handle. The music is top notch.-5/5 ratingmmo/rpg elementsThis is where the game is the weakest. MMO-wise, it is pretty terrible. You cannot type to chat. You are limited to 4 emotes mapped to a controller button. It is difficult to form a party with people. People in your party might not have headsets plugged in and won't hear you or be able to talk with you. They can wander off and not really help you at all. The process for joining or forming parties is cumbersome. In the first 20 hours of playing, I have had 1 person join my fireteam (even though I had it open to all and invited people often). So socially, it is an single player game where you see other people are playing. The Tower area advertised as a social hub really just has people standing around dancing. There is no way to communicate so there really isn't any other way to interact. I found it immersion breaking to see people just dancing with npcs. You are told the galaxy is threatened by darkness, but have people breaking that dark atmosphere by dancing childishly.Rpg-wise, Destiny flops terribly. Almost nothing is explained or resolved. There are three playable races...but what are the Awoken? Are they aliens? Are they evolved humans? You'll never know. There are multiple alien attacking races. But if you don't read the website explanation, you get zero insight as to who they are or why they are attacking Earth (and attacking each other). You start off in what feels like the middle of a story. I kept hoping it would come back and explain the back story of what happened to Earth, to the Traveler, etc but it never does. None of the mysteries are resolved. Now, I know the main argument against this point is 'the game is supposed to span multiple years, installments, and expansions'. That being said, as an rpg fan, it is a cardinal sin to release a game without a complete story. If it had a whole and fulfilling story on release, and each expansion and sequel built off it, that would be one thing. What you get is chapter 2 of a 10 chapter novel. You only go to Earth, the Moon, Mars, and Venus. So not a lot of 'galaxy exploration'. And finally, the actual story chapters follow the following format: get to point, scan with ghost, face hoard of enemies. The ghost narrates 90% of the story. There are some story cutscenes.-1/5 RatingShooterIn this area, I cannot complain. The game controls very well. It has very well balanced abilities and weapons. The enemies are smart and tough without being unfairly tough. The crucible deathmatch areas provide vs multiplayer that is a lot of fun. The strikes provide team based multiplayer that is also a lot of fun and pretty well balanced. As a non shooter regular player, I found the shooter aspect of this game to be the most polished and very entertaining part of the game.-5/5 RatingExpansionsThis is just a personal point of contention for me. 2 "expansions" have already been announced. They have 1 new story mission, a strike, and a crucible. The first says it will re-use existing maps. Cost $20 for one, or 2 for $35. So I bought a $60 game with an unfinished story and will have to pay $20 every 2-3 months to continue the story? Not to mention that $20 is pretty steep for such minimal content. To me, it feels like a cash grab.-Rating on the idea 0/5ConclusionAs I said to begin, this game will be divisive. If you wanted a grand story, it will disappoint. If you wanted a great shooter with polish and great balance, it absolutely delivers. And if you aren't a fan of nickel and dime cash grabs for content that should be included with retail version of the game, then definitely wait for a bundle that contains all the expansions in a year or two.Overall, I would give this game a 3/5 stars.
Its fun but drops the ball on many issues.
September 15, 2014
I was not going to review this game because i was sure that this would be lost in a mass of reviews but i felt like I should. This is a fun game. Combat is very smooth and feels very similar to an overpowered halo. (Think normal or easy mode with twice the number of foes) Mowing down these baddies with a buddy or two make this game a blast at time when the action really picks up. Being able to sell items at any time is pretty neat even though the lack of loot in the game is pretty sad. You may run into two or three different items during a mission. Wish there was more of a middle ground in loot. Somewhere between this and Borderlands would have been nice. Its biggest down fall is its repetition and multiplayer. That being said the lack of enemy diversity in the game is very minimal. Even though there are four races they all fight the same for the most part and use the same tactics. There is the base units that just hide behind rocks pooping their heads out. The middle class units that very from being snipers to melee again snipe from a distance or run up to you. Then there are the big guys who are really just bigger versions of other units that they mad taller and turned into bullet sponges. After a while its all the same. The game has a repetitive feel also because when you land on a plant no matter where you go they dump you in the same spot every time, forcing you to take the same paths and run into the same groups of baddies every time. Not really sure why they could not have randomized enemy spawn locations similar to Left 4 dead. Far as multiplier is concerned its super unbalanced. You take weapons you get from the game and use them so a lot of that is luck, some people will find better weapons than others. Then there player levels. The higher level you are the more skills and abilities you have at your disposal giving you a big advantage on lower level players. These guys made halo for crying out loud! Why not make the multiplayer be basic so that everyone has an even chance regardless of your abilities. I have one more small grip and that’s that this game is very dark and you have no control over the flash light. You have a button for pointing, sitting, and dancing but no option to turn on you light? That’s just annoying.Pros:- Fun Combat- Fun with Friends- Beautiful environments- Great art style- Fun classesCons- Super repetitive- No control of light- Unbalanced multiplayer- Long Load times- No light control- Real lack of player interaction. (Not really an MMO)

Not for me...
November 9, 2015
Not really reading that much into the storyline of this game, I bought it because...hey-its the next one to come out. Well, expecting it to be fairly similar to the last COD, I soon realized its very "sci-fi" in nature and lost interest. Bouncing around in rocket suits annoyed me. I'm glad Black Ops 3 is out now.
For "those" people
September 14, 2015
It was fun and all, but the community is terrible. I usually play with keyboard and mouse on PC so when I got to play this on ps4 you know I straight destroyed nearly everyone. Game got boring as a result so I stopped playing. I swear you can't make this up. Idk why I bought this or a ps4. Another thing that should be mentioned is that hardly anyone uses a mic while playing this since there is zero strats involved. If by some miracle they do it's usually the cheapest turd they can find so you can hear their TV and god forbid their window ac unit or crying child in the background. Yeah, I'll stick to pc.
Its ok.
August 16, 2015
I feel that the weapons in this game are lopsided. Conventional weapons seem extra week while the futuristic lazers and such are extra powerful. You would also think that given that the troops wear an exoskeleton, the developers would have given them heavier machine guns as the troops have "super human" strength.
The game is another fine COD game
February 24, 2015
The game is another fine COD game. I've played all CODs in the main series since Call of Duty on the PC, through the Modern Warfare series and Black Ops. I skipped COD Black Ops 2 and Ghosts because I was burnt out. Too much of the same. This game seems to breath a little life back into the formula mostly due to the exosuit movements but it is still built on the same foundation as Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and all its descendants. If you like COD, you will like this game. If you feel that the series is burnt out, but like the look of this game, buy it on sale, it's worth checking out.
Feel a bit cheated.
January 3, 2015
My son enjoys it. My beef is when I ordered this there was an offer for a free upgrade. Nothing came with the game and there have been no prompts to get the offer and there was nothing attached to the details in the purchase history. I did not print off the offer when I made the purchase so any complaint would have no backing. It would have a higher rating if I didn't feel a bit slighted by the order. My son will just have to get the upgrade with cold hard cash when he is ready.

This game definitely represents movement in a direction relative to previous cod games.I am glad to see a little bit of attention put into the single player this time: It is by no means a good story, but it is fun and definitely keeps the action level maxed out.I am plus-minus on the multiplayer. It has been completely overhauled by the exo suit in terms of how you tactically engage the map (which is good), but the maps themselves are starting to feel boring very quickly. Team balances can be one of the most frustrating aspects of multiplayer and even at 50Mbps down I feel like I am experiencing lag issues from time to time.It gets a 3/5 from me, but I recognize that I am going to keep playing this game and that I am harsher on this franchise because I want it to be the best.

An Average Game. Nothing Special
June 4, 2015
The game is gorgeous and the game is a vast improvement over the previous titles when it comes to the mechanics and visuals. The story is boring and not compelling in any way, shape, or form.Pros:-Graphics-Gameplay-Co-opCons:-Story-CharactersIt is simply an average game. Vaas from Far Cry 3 was a great antagonist, but sadly there is no one like him in this game or anyone even slightly as compelling as he was.
Unbelievably bad ending / story / badguy, great gameplay
April 14, 2015
After Vaas from FC3 hopes were high for their new bad guy who is Pagan Min. He may be the worst bad guy I've ever played a game about, ever. I don't care that he's gay (though that made it harder to fear him) but he was hardly featured at ALL, when he did show up he did nothing intimidating, and when you finally get to him at the end it's so anti-climactic it's sickening. He didn't even have one guard around him he's just in a house all by himself eating some food. really??? That's what I worked so hard for? It was a true F YOU to fans of FC3, and just screamed developer laziness. I checked the alternate endings and they were equally lame as well. The one scene that featured Pagan as the game progressed was a very weak ripoff of Inglorious Bastards where the nazi leader was speaking while people were hiding under the house. Where's the creativity? On the plus, the gameplay is superior to FC3 even though the story / ending isn't. Helicopter a nice touch, some of the new guns a nice touch. But the weaponry is so nice it took away from the challenge so I'd catch myself purposely using lesser weapons so i could actually fight, rather than just noob tubing everything that moved. Voice acting is improved especially at bases. At Durgesh prison there is some voice acting where the heavy is talking to his dog as he's patrolling that really cracked me up. talking about bench pressing his enemies. But oh man all that work for a weak ending just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll probably play FC5 but i no longer trust these guys to not cut corners
Fun, with some annoyances. Not as good as 3 but still good.
March 21, 2015
This was a great game, but the coop s*** kind of sucked. You can only do so much with your friends, and what you help them do doesn't count towards your game, like taking outposts, side missions, ect. The graphics were amazing, and the story was fun. But the coop thing annoyed me greatly. I find it redundant to have to do things twice, once for you and once for your friend, you know to make it fair. There were were issues too, like i could only refill so much of my health when i was in someone else's game. I bullet would actually count for 2,3,4 bullets pending on the gun, which made you run out of ammo fast. Some of the sise missions were annoying too. Got old fast, and i decided they weren't worth is anymore. But the game is fun, definitely play this game, dont spend a lot though, or just rent it for the week, that should be long enough.
If I have to play another mission where I'm hallucinating or have to fight a demon, I will SCREAM!
March 18, 2015
I want to like this game, I really do. The visuals are really quite stunning and I haven't enjoyed being in a game world as much since Red Dead Redemption. With that said, much like Far Cry 3, the missions are really annoying. The storyline has improved somewhat since the last installment but I still am more inclined to just liberate outposts and perform other side missions. I really couldn't care less about either of the sides I'm supposed to be choosing in this game and it's even more disappointing that the outcomes are equally unsatisfying.I'm not really sure if the writers are dropping huge amounts of acid but they seem to have an affinity for writing it into their games. I grew tired of the gimmick after the second Act where I'm forced to escape the prison and evade a demon whilst drugged. I prefer my games to be more lucid and if I want to be on a bad acid trip, I will not rely on a game for that experience. I won't dare go back to the overhyped Shangri La unless i'm high in real life. Too bad. I really like achieving 100% in games but I don't even think I can finish this one. Also, driving mechanics are still whack. Ubisoft needs to steal a page from EA and sort that out.
and intensity of this game are great, the story and game-play
March 4, 2015
While the graphics, sound quality, and intensity of this game are great, the story and game-play, unfortunately do not live up to those high standards. For instance, there isn't a great introduction to the world of FarCry 4, there is barely a tutorial, and the controls are confusing in their default setting-- not to mention the inability to switch to a third person view when piloting, driving, etc. any sort of machinery, which makes it difficult to gauge exactly what you're doing.
Umm..
February 17, 2015
In all honesty, I've purchased this game after I had played Far Cry 3 in the PS3 system. That game was pretty good. It wasn't the best game created but it was enough to get me interested into the story, the adventure and some action within the game-play and cut-scenes. This game didn't follow suit well. I'm not gonna go in dept to keep the story discreet, but I didn't find myself into this game as much as I was before in Far Cry 3. For the longest, I felt a tad confused on who the true villain for reasons I can't explain for the sake of the story. Everyone isn't innocent and Pagan Min actually didn't have that much of a cold heart as some of the other characters. As you play this game, there are some missions where you wold have to make the decisions, such as picking between character A and character B on who can raise a country better. It's like when a woman ask someone which dress looks better while both dresses look similar. The in-game arguments is rather pointless. The game's scenery is beautiful and the animals are more realistically crafted. But since I play for a story with action and adventure, maybe even for tear-jerker moments, I was rather disappointed.

OverHyped Game
May 26, 2015
This game was great for about a week. The Hype was over after the game was released. I can't believe Bungie spent $500 million on this game and left the Halo series for Destiny, not that 343i is doing bad for Halo, they're doing great. For those who want to buy this game know that you'll need a online subscription (Xbox Line/PSN) in order to play the game. The game was obviously made for an MMO experience, Bungie completely gave up on the story. Apparently the story is dispersed on the grimore cards in the game but requires you to read them on their destiny website. The game is very repetitive as in clear out this area to get to point A, then defend your ghost from the waves of enemies. Also the game feels incomplete and the only way to continue other repetitive stories is to purchase the expansion pack.Pros:-Play online multipayer with your firendsCons:-Requires online subscription PSN/Xbox Live-Lacking Story (I shouldn't have to go online to continue story by reading a bunch of cards)-Not much a looting system other than dropped items.-Very repetitive, every missions requires you to do the same just in different locations.-The User interface is terrible, you have to go through a menu to switch your weapons (even during battle)-The game feels incomplete.
Permenantly stuck in beta
December 5, 2014
I have played all of the Halo games and played Destiny since alpha. On the MMO side I have also been through betas for three different games and gone through a few. Since this is two star rating, I'll start with the down sides first.* If you don't enjoy PvP the amount of content simply doesn't justify the cost. With the exception of the RAID, you will have gone through the story line in two days (one review quoted 10 hours). As for the story line, there isn't much of one. It's all superficial gibberish. There isn't a single character or narrative with any depth. It all ends up sounding like "..blah blah blah darkness, blah blah blah light..." The available areas for each planet are very small so there isn't much there either.* With the exception of the raid, awful boring level design. Instead of having good AI or creativity, bosses are just bullet sponges.* At heart, this is a grind fest. To get good enough equipment for the raid, you will have to grind. And it's not a fun grind either, what that means is you will be playing the same content over and over again. Some games at least give you new locations and missions for the grind. Bungie adds modifiers to the enemy level and damage type but it's the same maps with the same sequence of events, repeat, repeat, repeat.* Since max level is dependent on armor, to max out your level you HAVE to either grind the raid, or grind a PvP event that only shows up once in awhile. You will never reach level cap playing normal stories and strikes, or normal PvP. I hope you enjoy grinding.* There is no matchmaking for raid and weekly strikes, AND, there is no in game method to find a group. So Bungie suggests you use third party LFG websites.* Micro management. Every week they change something to force you to play the game the way they want you to play, down to the tiniest detail. It's like having a boss that wants every thing done exactly his way and is always looking over your shoulder.* The endless beta. The Queen's Wrath PvP was shelved to be reworked. Iron Banner had to be reworked. Weapons' perks and stats are being changed every week. Missions, strikes, and the raid are constantly being fixed. And of course some of the changes introduce new bugs. With this first expansion pack they're making the grind for equipment even harder, with a horde of other changes that no one asked for.* Things that don't make sense. Mobs X levels below you can kill you, but you can't damage mobs X levels above you at all. In the distant future there are no mini-maps, not even a north indicator. We have spaceships, hover bikes, but no night vision. Moon, Mars, Venus, Earth, all have the same gravity.* There is no audio mixer. You're stuck with the audio mix Bungie makes you to listen to. The music drowns out weapons fire on strikes but all you can do is turn the whole thing down. The music gets extremely repetitive after just a few hours. Now the good good things about this game* Decent graphics. I say decent because I already see better graphics in games on the same console with more characters running around.* PvP, this is what Bungie is good at. This is frankly the game's only shiny piece.* Innovation in the networking code. This is mainly behind the scenes and it did cause problems for some people, but this is one of the few innovations I've seen in a long time in game networking code. Look it up if you're curious. To sum it up, if you love PvP, grinding, and constant flow of unexpected changes, it's an alright game. For PvE, find something else.
So much potential, so little execution.

This game could have been truly great, but it feels as if the developers put zero effort into it.The gameplay quickly gets boring and repetitive. Every mission follows the same basic patter. Go to this area, kill some guys, deploy the ghost, kill some more guys, kill the boss, leave. Every boss fight is pretty much the same too. Shoot a few times, hide behind cover, shoot a few times, hide behind cover, occasionally kill a wave of adds. You would think that had a budget as big as Destiny's and sells itself as an epic space adventure would have lots of really cool environments for you to explore. Again almost no effort was put in here. Each planet has numerous "areas" that you do missions in, but they are all exactly the same. So you really only end up with about 4 relatively small areas to explore. The other truly disappointing thing about Destiny for me is that there is no variety in the loot. You basically just get the same crap you already have but with slightly improved numbers over and over.Personally, I think Destiny is a huge disappointment. Bungie is crazy if they think that I'm going to buy expansions and sequels if this is the level of effort they are going to put in.The one and only thing that I can say for Destiny is that it gives me and my buddies something to play cooperatively, which so few games do these days.
Delivers far less than I would have imagined
October 23, 2014
Destiny will likely go down as one of my most disappointing games of all time. (It's most certainly the most disappointing game of the year.)I've loved Halo in the past, and had a great deal of respect for Bungie's work in general, and I think it's fair to say that I was more excited for this game than just about any other. With a strong mechanical backbone, Destiny's shooting feels good; much like you would imagine from Bungie, but unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say about the experience. While the game offers an interesting premise, it quickly devolves, leading to a story that literally goes out of it's way to tell you that it isn't going to explain anything that's going on. (An actual line from the game is, "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain what's going on.") It doesn't matter if you hire good voice actors if you give them awful lines to read. You will finish this game with absolutely no idea what you did or why you did it. I guess for all the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on this game's development, no one could be bothered to give the script a once-over.And maybe you're thinking that the storyline won't matter. You're going to play the game for 100+ hours, so who cares if the story is any good, right? Well, I've got bad news for you. You're going to be replaying the same things A LOT. There's an amazing, surprisingly small amount of content in this game. You can easily see every environment there is to see (And you can bet you'll see multiple missions in a row that you go to the exact same places), in a matter of hours. Even once you get to the end game content, once you figure it out, all there is to do is replay it in the hopes of randomly getting better equipment. Did I also mention you'll need 5 friends to see the end game content? No, not strangers, because there isn't any matchmaking in Destiny's big "Vault of Glass" mission. You actually need to coordinate and set up a team of 5 other people to do it. That's just a bad policy, Bungie. The most disappointing this is that after all this time and all this money, Destiny should be a great game. The mechanics are solid, but the storyline is non-existent, the gameplay extremely repetitive, and the content lacking. This is not the next great game we were promised. The only thing I can imagine is that something went woefully wrong during Destiny's development, because this is quite simply not a very good game. But hey... They spent huge on marketing and sold a lot of copies, so who cares if it isn't very good?
Your disappointment awaits.....

I want to start by mentioning that a product has to be life-changing good or a huge letdown for me to write an in depth review.TL;DR at the bottomThe pros: This game looks great on the PS4 the character models are interesting and skybox on every map is breathtaking, if you do buy this game take a long look at it because it's the best part. The first hour of this game will leave you wanting more and more. The story is... well there is none right now, but there is a ton of lore that they're definitely going to sell to you through DLCThe cons:Where to start...The enemy character models for the enemies are great but the higher level enemies are just the same model with a different color pattern (remember the old mortal kombat with the 50 shades of skorpion?... it's basically the same thing)Then there are the story missions, they are great to start but then you find that EVERY SINGLE MISSION is just you walking through an area pulling out your ghost fighting off 1-5 waves of enemies while it hacks something and then repeating that same process 2-5 times until you fight a boss which is basically just a dumb bullet sponge, there is no strategy to kill these bosses other than: shoot, hide, reload, repeat. The bounties are always the same dozen or so things that are as repetitive and hum-drum as the story missions. Kill x number of monsters with head shots, without being killed, with a certain weapon, with your super...Levels 1-20 which you get through player vs. player or through the story, strikes, and other missions are easy to attain and the dream of the game becoming more compelling and challenging are what keep you going until you reach the "end game" or..Levels 21-30 or the so called "end game" is EXACTLY the same as the base game except in order to achieve a higher level you have to attain light which is a component of uncommon, rare, legendary, and exotic armor. this is just a cheap mechanic to keep you playing the game and wanting more. legendary armors and weapons, the things that are required for the highest level strikes and missions can be earned through vanguard marks, crucible marks, or through factions. DO NOT let this confuse you, THIS is NOT content, it is busy work. In order to get the best armors, you have to play the same strikes and missions sometimes HUNDREDS of times which even with a skilled fireteam can take an hour or more each. Beyond that there is no guarantee of reward. The loot system is based on a random number generator that pays out less than a Vegas slot machine. There is a guaranteed way to get some mid-range armor that will bring you to level 25 and that is through vanguard marks, crucible marks, and faction reputation. You get these through completing the aforementioned bounties and strikes which pay out so little that it almost always takes 10+ hours of game time to earn the max amount. that's the max WEEKLY amount by the way which is 150 each which can be frustrating considering that each piece of armor costs at least 156...Technically speaking, if you were to do EVERYTHING and earn the max amount of... whatever... for each... thing. you could play this game for a week straight and not achieve everything. If you like games that keep you playing for days and always have something NEW to show you this not the game you're looking for.TL;DRthis game is GREAT if you like repetitive mind numbing shooters that are basically just trying to sell you DLC to flush out a game devoid of any real content. OR if you REALLY like grinding. The only reason it gets 2 stars is that it isn't riddled with bugs and the controls are tight and responsive.
Ok GAME BUT WITH SERIOUS PLOT HOLES, REPETITIVE GAMEPLAY, & FRUSTRATING MULTIPLAYER
September 15, 2014
I just finished playing the main story and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. The story is completely forgettable...literally towards the end of the game I had completely forgotten why I was here and what my actions were supposed to accomplish. And each mission (story or strike) is basically the same of go to point A and fight off wave after wave of bad guys. Once I finished it left me with more questions than answers, and the questions you had at the beginning such as: What is The Traveler? What exactly is "The Darkness"? Why is it your character is first found in the middle of no where surrounded by aliens and has no knowledge of the past 20 or so years? go completely unanswered. When Halo first debuted there were also plot holes but it kept me so engrossed that I didn't notice or care. In addition Peter Dinklage as Ghost was such a waste, he's so bland and unenthusiastic, it's like they brought him for the first takes of dialogue then after the first day he left for the set of game of thrones and never returned.I did like the co-op aspects of this game, for it sort of motivates you to either team up with friends or meet new people to take on the harder strike missions and complete public events. Multiplayer is decent as well, though there are some flaws such as the radar is just awful and creates more problems than it solves, there is still player lag that was a major stigma throughout all the halo games, and NO TEAM COLORS, which to me is Destiny's biggest flaw turning multiplayer into chaos when your radar shows an enemy is very close to you in addition to your allies but you can't tell who is good or bad so you frantically shoot and stab everyone in sight hoping you kill him before he kills you.Visually it looks great and the music is superb, except for a couple tracks which annoy me more than captivate me. All in all its a fun play with friends but if your looking for a sci-fi experience to immerse yourself in go with Mass Effect or a FPS to play with friends go with Borderlands 2.

This game sucks.. After this I'm no longer buying any game in the Call of Duty series. Jet packs are stupid, zombies is stupid, everything is stupid. In case nobody has noticed, the story mode is essentially the same in every call of duty and they're ridiculously short and easy.. Don't be a sheep, go out and try some new games. I would highly recommend getting "The Last of Us" instead, my favorite game of all time.

Call of Duty seems to be forgetting its roots. Not into the Sci-Fi aspect of the latest trappings. Have shifted to Battlefield franchise for real military first person shooter. Call of Duty has sped into the future and has left part of its fan base behind.

Not impressed at all, i have been playing like many of you since cod finest hour. However this is the first time that i do not like the game. The game storie is a repeat of moderen warfare and the theirs nothing refreshing. The multiplayer is nothing more then a sketchy game play which feels like a 5 yeard created and the very confusing to figure out how to make a load out. Im hoping that maybe they will make a world at war 2.
Not for me....

I've been a fan of the COD series since the beginning. I bought this day one, and I tried to like it, I like just about everything about it except the abilty to jump/boost.....some things men should not be able to do. I kept the game for a month, tried and tried to get used to it....gave it to my son and now I'm back to playing Ghosts.
New Toys, Same Ploy
February 15, 2015
Despite the attempt, it's still the same old COD of the past few years: extremely fast-paced gameplay that adds a little bias to the host. The new suits only accomplish increasing the pace and making certain weapons obsolete due to rate of fire. Enthusiasts that have followed the series know the history behind Infinity Ward and Treyarch so there's no point in trying to make it look like it's something that it's not. Perhaps this series can achieve a revitalization through getting away from the annual release and actually spending time developing a game rather than making slight modifications each year.
CODont buy this!!
December 8, 2014
You enjoy dying far around corners...getting shot in the back 90% of the time? I suggest that you play this one via rental for a bit first. It's Classic COD lag fest but with boost jumping and terrible hit detection. The maps are all crowded so gameplay is always chaos and while the gameplay is a lot faster than previous COD titles it loses it's charm due to the claustrophobic maps. I still do not understand why a game developer and publisher, that clearly make enough money, cannot utilize dedicated servers? And thank you for letting us play dress up with our characters...just wish more would have went into map designs. They don't realize that by adding the double jump that area covered is much faster and so the whole map can be accessed way too fast. The story was interesting and I did somewhat enjoy playing it but couldn't help realize that the AI is the same old stupid AI as all the former COD titles. While I do not hate the game...I also do not like the game. There is not enough there to keep me wanting to play let alone potentially purchase more claustrophobic maps. For a game that was 3 years in development it just seems like more of the copy and paste with a little bit of innovation.

I tried to like this game, but I did not find the graphics or the story appealing. I didn't care what was going on and found myself bored. That being said, maybe it's not my genre. Horizon zero dawn and destiny are my absolute favorites for graphics and playability.
Broken game
July 15, 2016
Far cry 4 had dropping frame rates, poor targetting system, and broken levels. As I played far cry if too many things appeared on screen the frame rate would drop almoat freezing the screen. When I would aim at an enemy my bullets wouldn't hit the target. I used a sniper rifle and was unablen to obtain a headshot. Futhermore, levels would just fall apart. I would activate a check point only to have the screen black out . Disappointing

I got this game thinking it was going to be a blast, but I was very sadly disappointed. I feel like I am doing the same thing over and over again, and not really getting anything out of it. For the money I just honestly don't think it's worth it. Ubisoft really has not been releasing very good games recently.

Do not waste your money, this will only get you to level 34 MAX, which limits your entire gaming experience as all truly quality gear and weaponry is unlocked at level 40.You can get the entire saga for $59.99 PlayStation store, but would highly recoholding out for Destiny 2, which is available for pre-order for the SAME PRICE OR LESS!
Bungie basically sold me a demo.

This game is fun. This version of the game sucks. You're locked out of large portions and level capped at 34 (current max level is 40). Do not buy this version, and you can't buy complete version used due to one time use codes that will be missing.

December 31, 2015
Shallow, uninteresting story presented in the worst possible ways. Huge areas of empty unused space on maps. The maps themselves are just recycled with various enemy layouts, killing any sense of story that might have been present. The game is trying to be single and multi player at the same time, but the implementation of each conflicts with the other. The only saving grace is that the controls are solid, but that in no way makes up for the disappointment that is the rest of the game.
Paid $100 altogether only to have them take away the stuff I paid for and demand another $50.
October 10, 2015
I bought this game when it first released despite the negative reviews. I was glad, because although I'm not really an FPS guy, I enjoyed the missions, strikes, raids and crucible (multiplayer) and didn't think twice about the first set of dlc, Crota and House of Wolves. The story was light, but the dlc challenges were addictive. Of course, being an adult with a full time job, wife and kids, my playing time was limited and I didn't get through any of the dlc before this latest expansion came out. I thought nothing of it, as I planned to get the next dlc once I finished what I already had. Little did I know, it was not in my Destiny, literally. They removed access to the dlc missions... all of them. So now I can't finish the additional content that I paid extra for. Why? Well, because Destiny wants more of my money and they will remove access to content I already paid for to get it. As always, I vote with my dollars, and Destiny no longer has my vote. I will not purchase the new dlc, and I will not purchase another game from any company associated with the creation of this game (Bungie, Activision, etc.) It's a shame because I truly did enjoy the game, but the removal of original and paid dlc content in order to force me to purchase even more dlc while still restricting my access to the content I paid for, well, that's about as bad as you can get. No other game does this, and I refuse to reward them for being the first.
Destiny was basically a bait and switch job.
March 3, 2015
This game is terrible. Mechanically, it's sound, but there's NO CONTENT. Difficulty scaling is stupid, bosses are bullet sponges, finding groups is miserable, and if you want to have enough content to fill even a weekend of play, well, you're going to have to buy some DLC.Destiny was basically a bait and switch job from what was shown and advertised before release. They've addressed many of the problems (at launch, the Cryptarch was the final boss of the game, basically), but releasing a game as broken and awful as Destiny is really shameful.

This game is a terrible attempt to meld together ideas that have made other games successful over the years. It is clear that Activision took Bungie's idea for a game and sucked all the life out of it in favor of including the most selling points possible and a decade long model for expansions and DLC to keep you giving them money.
