| Great product and I am now receiving a cleanAugust 25, 2017 Was worried about this product due to several other reviews; but I shouldn't have been and should have ordered this years ago to replace my old worn out blades. Great product and I am now receiving a clean, close shave. Works Great with R5 Pivot and Flex Razor...July 18, 2017 I have an old R5 series Remington Pivot and Flex Razor, from several years back. None of the current replacement heads available even list that model anymore, although it's basically the same as the 5150 model that came after it. I haven't been able to find the original pivot and flex replacement heads for quite a while, so finding a replacement that works can be quite a chore - fortunately for me, this one snapped right in and works just fine - probably cuts a little better than the original head and prior 360 Pivot and Flex labeled replacement heads. Only minor quibble is that nowhere in the packaging does it provide instruction on how to install the replacement head - it literally just says "Remove old head assembly and discard. Replace with new head assembly." - but, fortunately, having changed them out before, I remembered how to swap it out.I'll probably order a couple more, since I know this one works, just to have them in case Remington changes things up again before I need a new one again. Hats off to Remington and think about how many straight edge shavers you would go through in 30 years or so, yet the Remington keeps cutting even after YEARS of service...GO REMINGTON!!!!!i Good to order multiples for backupsJanuary 6, 2016 Depending on which shaver base you ordered originally, these might actually be better than the blades in the head yours sold with. That was the case for me, at least, though I didn't spend a ton on the razor (I think it was like $70 a year ago--kind of an impulse purchase). I shave my head with a razor blade about three times a week, and I use the electric on the off-days to keep trimmed or if I'm in a hurry. After six months, the original blades in the head had gotten old enough that hair was getting pulled out as often as it had been getting trimmed--not fun. When this one arrived and I popped it on, though, it worked better than the razor did when it was new: not only no tugging, but the razor glides over my head like it's a floor polisher. It's worn in a bit in the months since I got it, but even worn, it's now about as good as the one the razor came with. I wish I'd ordered a second so I had it waiting in the cabinet! | | | | |

| A Decent ReplacementJune 20, 2017 This replacement does a great job of shaving. However, it doesn't open nearly as easy for cleaning as the original, and the "keeper" that holds the cutters in place pops out of the head to easily, allowing the cutters to fall out of the head. Blades seem just as sharp as other refill packs I have bought though. I am somewhat satisfied. Amazon carries +1, Big box store no longer carries. It works well all-in-all so I still give it three stars for that. Sick as it might seem I think I am getting a closer shave because of the "slight" hair-pull effect. Amazon delivered via prime in two-days. Three StarsNovember 26, 2014 it was suppose to be the correct replacement but shaver won't work with it ... compared to the old head and it was very easy to installOctober 5, 2014 Have to say that there was a vast difference in closeness compared to the old head and it was very easy to install. Took much longer to get it out of the plastic vault in which it was encased. On the down side, it doesn't seem to cut my beard as easily as the original head did when it was new. (ie. It tugs and pulls at my beard). Also, it seems to labor the motor much more than the original. And yes, I tried recharging the razor. Read carefully down further in the advertisement for the list of actual models it fits and compare it to your shaver. If yours is not listed, then it will not fit. | Not shatp at all very dullMay 31, 2017 Fits unit great but just as dull as the blades I was replacing. So I guess product isn't that well I guess original was sharp witch doesn't make sense because original was the ones that came with the device lol This thing was redesigned - and NOT for the better.January 18, 2017 I bought one in January of 2015 for my R-8150 shaver. It was great - exactly like the original. I picked up another in October of 2016, installed it, and immediately noticed that it didn't shave as well. Upon close inspection, I think I found why: Each of the three rotary elements has an inner and outer circle of tiny slots or 'combs' that guide the whiskers. On the original replacement head, these slots were fully open, but the new one has alternating open and closed slots in the outer circle (the inners are all fully open.) This makes it less efficient and essentially it takes longer to shave. I removed the new cutters and installed them in the 2015 replacement. Now it works great. Will buy a whole new shaver of different brand next time. Note: The product images on the site at the time of this posting show all the combs to be fully open, but that's probably not what you'll receive. Might as well invest in a new razor at this price point.December 10, 2016 The product does not shave nearly as well as the stock razor head. This unit tends to pull a lot of hairs even with relatively short stubble compared to my old original razor head which it replaced. Not recommended.November 16, 2016 The replacement head fits, but makes a lot of noise. When the heads are flexed during shaving, they sound like they are interfering with the case. Not well made to OEM standards. I searched for the least expensive replacement head, and that's what I got - you get what you pay for. The blades were getting dull though, so I bought this replacement head. Now the thing is a nightmare to use. Hairs are constantly getting grabbed and yanked out rather than cut. It's awful, to the point where I dread shaving. I noticed that my old 5150 had a coating on the head, this one is just metal. Not sure if thats the difference but you might want to keep the old head and just swap out the blades. Wish I had done that. Now I need to buy a new razor, I can't stand this thing any longer. Great buy if you like your hairs pulled out of your face.May 7, 2015 This replacement head worked twice and then it just started pulling hairs. The head that originally came with my Remington lasted for well over a year before is starting pulling hairs.
