The most convenient gift ever.
Great Product!
March 30, 2016
I purchased a cheap cordless Dirt D. as a last minute resort to perform a quick and necessary clean, the battery didn't hold, this product is exactly what I was looking for. Quality and just the right power for getting the car interior back in shape after a stampede of people storm on my floor mats. Great product!
Actually sucks up pretty well
January 2, 2016
Just got my auto vac today and tested it out! I have a van so I like the long cord. I was able to turn the key to "On" and run the vac without turning the car on. This was a plus. This will not replace my shop vac for detailing the car...but it will stay in my van to clean up my little kids daily messes. It worked great for what it is. I was surprised to see how much actually came out of the canister when I emptied it. I will recommend and have already shown my neighbor. We use to own the Shark cordless vac and the battery shorted out within a year. I researched it and found out that was a common problem. So I'm happy to have this corded vac that hopefully will last longer and was about half the price.
Cleaned smoke out of car.
January 13, 2015
Bought this as a last ditch effort before hiring a pro to clean the cigarette smoke and ash out of the used car i bought. The nested crevice and upholstery tool found under the motor helped to get where even the major brand micro cleaning kit attachments for the shop vac could not. It took over an hour to clean every bit from every angle but by the time i was done, the only trace of smoking was the burns in the seat upholstery. Some blow back did occur, but only when the canister part was full. I love that it runs off your cars 12 volt power supply (aka the cigarette lighter ironically) because this meant i could clean in the rain, just had to keep the doors closed. This product is strong enough to pick up a quarter, and filtered well enough to clean smoke out of a car. and the lock away hide away compartment for the attachments makes for easy storage. Definitely worth the investment.
Good value

The chord is long enough for me to reach my whole car, including my trunk (I have an average mid sized car), it picks up fast, it's light and easy to store and it has an attachment for getting into tight spaces.

This thing sucks...Literally.
October 6, 2017
I was actually impressed by the suction of this machine. The included tools allow me to get into every nook and cranny of my truck (especially the detail brush). It is light weight, easy to clean, compact and very portable. Having seen what some people try to vacuum up with the carwash vacuums I am glad that I don't have to go near them anymore.
Great car vacuum
May 16, 2017
Ok, I doubt anybody likes to vacuum out their car. Before getting this product I would go downtown to one of those car wash places and poke an endless supply of quarters into a bulky commercial vacuum cleaner. This has never been a pleasant experience since the car wash vacuum cleaners always seem to come with large barely-flexible, cumbersome hoses equipped with an over-wide nozzle ill-suited to clean the hard-to-reach places in your car. And they (don't) suck! Taking the house vacuum into the yard isn't an option - it just isn't designed for this. The Armor All vacuum is incredibly light weight and generates an impressive amount of suction. It comes with a wide assortment of attachments and it does a great job. It works as a wet/dry cleaner. There's no collection bag - only a small cloth bag/filter that covers the motor intake to prevent sand from ruining the engine. After you're done you just pop open the top and dump the canister out. (The filter bag is reusable and you can also order extras) Important: Make sure you don't forget to put the bag on or you'll ruin the motor! When vacuuming liquids you must remember to swap out the bag for a sponge-ish filter that wraps around the motor intake for wet mode. The power cord is of a decent length, but of course you are still going to need a sturdy outdoor extension cord.
This is the perfect size for small vacuuming jobs
April 24, 2017
This is the perfect size for small vacuuming jobs. It's awesome for cars, for instance, because it fits almost anywhere and you don't have to lug a full-size vacuum or shop vac around just to clean your car. I also use it as a quick cleanup around the cat's litter box. Powerful but compact. We love it!

I just purchased this vacuum and I am very pleased. I purchased this product specifically to clean my Pick up truck and car. I've read some of the negative reviews on this product and was a bit concerned that I made the wrong product choice. I can't yet speak for the longevity of this product but I am very pleased.. I guess I would say you need to purchase the right tool for the job... for me, this is perfect.. ALL of the accessories are neatly positioned in grooved cut outs on the top of the Vacuum, very nice. Hopefully the quality of the motor will last for a while.. K.
Powerhouse vac in a compact package!
March 11, 2015
Holy Cow! What a little suction machine! This little sucker is powerful! I purchased it to keep all the sawdust from getting all over the house (I don't have a workshop or room- just a work corner). My little house vacuum hose barely sucks anything up. However, I seriously don't have the space for a large shop vac so the compact size of this is so great yet it performs as strongly as the large sizes. I was expecting less but got more!My two little dogs who are terrified of my house vacuum actually don't even pay this one any mind at all. One typically runs and hides while the other follows me around barking madly at it--but with this little shop vac they even kept coming up to it while I'm using it with no barking. The machine is also quite stable sitting low on the floor so it doesn't tip over. The hose has a good length to it and it comes with several different head attachments that work great! I can also attach my straight hose extensions from my upright vac to this.UPDATE: OMG not long after I posted this I was spring cleaning - using a hose from my apartment to wash down the patio when I heard something running behind me. Turn around and the whole dining room area is flooded from a leak in the hose!!! So I promptly turned off the water, changed the filter from the cloth to the water filter in this little vac and proceeded to test its wet suction! SUPER HAPPY! It worked like a dream. From a huge spreading puddle to dry floors in minutes! Highly recommend.I haven't tried the wet part yet or the "blow" part either but if the suction works this well, then I'm sure I'll have no worries.
Great for owners of pellet stoves & wood stoves!
January 4, 2014
There are plenty enough reviews of this vacuum, but I think it deserves another just for its ability to clean out wood stoves.I finally tired of cleaning the ashes out of my pellet stove with a 30 year old Craftsman shopvac. It's a heavy duty machine, but it's huge, awkward in the house on its casters, and howls like a Lear Jet taking off. Emptying it is not pretty, either, requiring a shower afterwards, at least. The Armor All shopvac is exactly right for the job: easy to tote, plenty of suction, a motor sound that doesn't scare cats on the next ranch over, and maybe most important, easy to clean. The included attachments are also appropriate and handy.NOTE: for fireplace ashes and drywall dust, which are extremely fine, the manufacturer recommends an optional fine filter, and this is important, as the powdery dust from ashes will work through a regular filter and burn out the motor.ALSO NOTE: I called the number for parts in the manual to order that fine filter, and a helpful representative gave me an absolutely super extra tip: mount a regular paper vacuum bag over the inflow tube in the canister and collect the ashes in that. If you do (and I did) hardly any ash gets through to the filter over the motor, and you can simply remove the bag and drop it in the garbage instead of turning the canister over and dumping the ashes in a choking cloud of dust. They carry the bags, too, though I had some leftover bags with a collar gasket that just fit over the inflow tube and those worked well too.)

iv only used about 8 times in my rig but suction is great for a little unit. its not a high micron filter so it kickes up dust but does as it should with dirt. sofar very happy with it. nice long cord and feels nice and stout.

It was very handy and light....its very convenient on rubber floors and thin made carpet,...the power cord is 16ft long and looks durable bc its a thick wire with a good suction power.,its nice but I wish they included ac power inverter adapter would be great.
works great, good deal
December 6, 2015
Really didn't need a cord that long just makes putting it away difficult. The vacuum is everything they say it is, works great, good deal!
every car should have one
April 13, 2015
Not bad, pretty powerful, I knew not to expect much but I empty out a huge amount of dirt the first time. The attachment brush makes all the difference. But my only complaint is its not long enough to get down the sides of the seats. But for regular maintenance, it's perfect. I leave it in the back seat, and grab it before it gets too dirty. I'm glad I went with this one, cause I will use it, it right there, no hassles.

Great value for the price
October 15, 2017
Great value for the price. This little vacuum works as well as much larger vacuums. Easy to carry around compared to the bigger vacs too. Filter is easy to clean and replace. I've used it for several months and it has performed well. A bit loud, but all of these kinds of vacuums are loud. I was a bit skeptical about this unit because the price was low.
Not bad
October 3, 2017
It's pretty powerful compare to other completions. I like the fact that it attaches to the power outlet and not the car battery. It's light compact and easy to use. The power cord hiwcer is too short, you can obviously use an extension cord to solve the problem. As far as suction, I give it a 4 out 5 as it is indeed powerful enough for a tiny machine. It won't really help too much with pet hair though, everything else, it is just perfect.
Would buy this again
April 30, 2017
I love this little vacuum. It did not appear that it had a lot of suction but it picks up everything just great. I wish it had an attachment that allowed me to stand up and vacuum. It is small enough to store yet has a big enough container to hold a whole lot of dirt. I have two cats and it picks up the cat hair really well. I have recommended this to my mother.
Nice compact vacuum
April 25, 2017
Nice product!I bought this to squeeze into a smaller attic access, nice compact size.Helps keeps down the cobwebs & cleans the furnace, much cheaper than a maintenance visit.
Good vac but read review if you want for vehicle
August 8, 2016
Powerful little vac. I bought this to keep in back of minivan to clean up perpetual messes made by kids. I thought I could plug it into the the AC outlet in the van (Toyota Sienna). I should have reviewed electrical requirements more closely. The vac is listed as 120 volts and 6 amps, which equates to a power draw of 720 watts or so. The van's built-in AC outlet only supports devices up to 100 watts, so I'm out of luck for clean ups while on the road. I have now thrown in a long two prong extension cord to reach outlets. Other than that, I really like vac. It has enough attachments to handle most car interior cleaning chores. If it gets tipped over, which is easy to do, the check ball inside will block the suction port. Turning vac OFF and righting canister will reset vac. Haven't tried the wet vac operation yet. Based on the dry suction, I'll venture a guess that it should be adequate for small spills (dropped soda cups, etc).
more power than expected from a small vac
January 22, 2015
The canister is a little loose and can allow dust to seep out the cracks. I put some black duct tape around the lip of the canister to make it a little thicker and that seems to give it a more snug fit. When developing this, the manufacturer should have cut the plastic a little thinker or cut a ridge for an rubber o-ring to seal it better. But the tape is an easy fix and it has great power for a small shop vac. I bought it only to suck ash from my pellet smoker and it works fine for that. Has many useful attachments and for the price it is a great deal.

February 7, 2017
Any little particles get blown right through the filter and back out in the back if you're going to vacuum anything with dirt or sand you need to make sure it's pointed away I bought this for my car so anything I do with it I have to make sure it's pointing out the door
but tends to be annoying since it isn't coiled
February 10, 2016
Picks up fairly well for what it is. The upholstery brush is laughable... much of it doesn't extend beyond the required attachment, so you can only use about half of the bristles (they're also short and quite thin) so it's not really helpful. The cord is long, but tends to be annoying since it isn't coiled. I might appreciate the straight cord more if I had a much larger vehicle.
Gets the job done.
October 4, 2015
Needed something smaller than my shop vac to vacuum out my car. Works okay. Picks up the small leaves, twigs, and even some of the smaller rocks. When you are in a bind and need to vacuum out your car fast this will get the job done. However, you are going to want to go to a gas station or use a shop vac when serious dirt needs to be cleaned from your car.
Average performance, not bad for the price.
April 19, 2015
I was looking for a small 12V vacuum for cleaning my cars' interiors. This Black & Decker unit does the job, but it doesn't impress in its performance nor its size. The suction is just adequate to get the loose stuff off of your floormats. Don't expect anything close to shop vac/carwash vacuum suction here. Of course, that's partially to be expected from anything running on 12V power. Overall, this will suit my needs, but if you have kids or frequent messes to contend with in your cars, this might not be enough.
I wouldn't buy again
March 28, 2015
Pros: it does suck in crumbs, leaves etc. Plugs into 12v outlet which is convenient.Cons: It blows dusty/air back into your face, cord is unruly.Overall, I wouldn't buy it again.

The vacuum has good suction for it's size
August 2, 2016
The vacuum has good suction for it's size. Also the price is right for this vacuum cleaner. However the draw back for this product, is that the top does not fit the bottom tight enough, which allows the dust to blow back on the surface that you have just vacuum.
Performance declined quicker than expected
February 11, 2016
This worked great for a year or so, but after that it really seemed to lose significant suction. I used it often, so that should be considered, at least once a week sometimes twice and completely vacuumed out 2 cars (every nook and cranny). I would say it was on par with most other vacs I've used, maybe better in the early going. I thought the suction to size ratio was really good in that it packed quite a punch for the size, but I just really expected it to perform better for longer given the Armor All name.
Not that powerful
December 21, 2015
The reviews seem inflated on this product. It's strong and powerful when using the smaller extensions with smaller openings, but it's extremely weak when using the wider extensions. My brother apparently bought a better model for a cheaper price at Walmart, which doesn't happen frequently.

Its a ok product. Suction force is not that great. Has long cord. Easy to move around the full car.
I expected much better
June 3, 2016
Not powerful enough. I was expecting more suction power than it has. The attachments could have been much better. Unable to reach tight areas.
Its good for a right now (emergency/temporary) kind of clean
October 31, 2015
I thought the suction would be stronger. Its good for a right now (emergency/temporary) kind of clean. But if you track particles in your car & think this thing is gonna just suck it all up. Nope. Still need some elbow grease. Sweep with a little brush 1st for best results then it'll pick up the loose dirt. Good for on the road quickies.
Not worth the money
August 22, 2014
Eh, the suction is good. But it kicks out dirt/sand particles out the side. It is hard to get into tight spots, I have a Subaru Forester 2015. But will be looking for another vac to replace this one soon. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.

August 25, 2016
I thought it would be more powerful than it was. The attachment with the brush on it s awful the brush keeps sliding off of it when you try to use it. It looks well made and like it would suck a golf ball through a garden hose but not.
A cumbersome $40 paperweight. Threw it out after 6 months.
August 17, 2016
Only good for liquid spills and removing dog fur from cars. Nowhere near the claimed suction power; slightly stronger than the Eureka MightyMite that I've had since graduate school. There's no filtration of any kind between the intake and the outtake vents. DO NOT use this to clean dust, ash, sawdust, or other particulate matter; it will simply spew from the exit vents in aerosolized form, and you will end up looking for another vacuum to clean up the mess made by this one.
It would be a good vacuum for vacuuming out your car
February 4, 2016
I bought this and it it didn't have the power for even light shop work, and broke trying. It would be a good vacuum for vacuuming out your car, that's about it. If that's all you intend to use it for, it should be good. However I think you'll be happier spending a tiny bit more on this: http://www.amazon.com/Shop-Vac-5986000-5-Gallon-Stainless-Vacuum/dp/B00EPH63K0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454586852&sr=8-1&keywords=shopvac&tag=turfar-20You'll get a vacuum that can do a lot more and will be more reliable.
Not so good...
May 21, 2015
This really is an awesome little vac! It has more power thank my home vacuum. it really does the trick. Its nice and light and not too loudEven though I've had this since 2015, I've only used it maybe 6 times. It works great, but I went to use it today and its not working at all. Will not turn on/dead. I stored it in my house in the original box. Never put away dirty. I tried all the plugs in my house, but nothing. I'm disappointed. I know its only 35.00, but all I got was 3 car cleanings and throw rugs 3 times...

Not usable, hose won't fit into base.
October 11, 2017
Poor quality control. The hose would not insert into the input port... too big. Also, the top part would pull away from the bottom part by about one-quarter of an inch when lifted even though both latches were engaged. Latches are made of molded plastic and are difficult to operate. They could break off if one doesn't be careful. Found what I really wanted at my local Meier's, a one gallon Shop-Vac Micro.

This vacuum seemed to work very nice the first few times of light use. Unfortunately, it stopped working when I tried to sweep my truck. I didn't use this product much and it wasn't worked hard. It useless to me now since it no longer works.

Complete waste of money. Bought this vacuum to clean up some drywall dust around the house. It worked great for the first 2 minutes until the filter got clogged. At that point, I might as well have been sucking air through a straw the rest of the day.

Is somebody having a laugh?
September 5, 2016
This item was delivered in June of 2016, at which point I put the unopened box in a hall closet to check out later. Deciding to do a bit of deck cleaning today, I attempted to use it for the first time. I realize this is a small wet/dry vacuum and not expensive, but I read all the reviews and Q/As carefully, and decided it had enough power to suck up the few very small dead leaves (thin, tiny leaves from a miniature olive tree, etc.) and dust on my outdoor decks. The suction was so weak I was sure I had connected it improperly, but that was not the case. It would barely pick up a few grains of stray cat litter from an outdoor litterbox, and picked up only a few of the tiny, dry olive tree leaves. It actually has less power than my rechargeable indoor hand-vacuum. I finally gave up on it and used a broom instead.I was even more astounded when I went to disconnect the vac, give it a clean and put it away, as a lot of very fine particles then fell out of the nozzle attachment. So, it clearly didn't even have enough power for those small, lightweight particles to travel any further than the nozzle attachment. I looked to see if the hose and/or nozzle was clogged, using a flexible hose-cleaner to be sure, but there was nothing blocking the hose, so there was no excuse for the weak suction. I've seen children go at drinks with a sippy straw with more gusto. Don't know what to do with this vacuum as I purchased it in June and didn't try it out until September, but it's an utter dud. There were so many positive reviews, so I must have got the rare lemon...
