Great, sturdy playpen which our daughter loves. Versatile design and a good price.
July 5, 2017
I bought this for my 15-month-old after realizing that she was getting too big for her jumperoo and finding myself with no place to put her where she would stay put (and safe!) while I turned my back to her to get an errand done. This playpen is fantastic. It came packed nicely and was very easy to assemble - just slide 2 pegs into 2 holes and push until it clicks. My wife put on all the stickers (they come separately) and she found them to be more on the cheap/flimsy side. I personally think the bears are kind of cheesy, but they came with the playpen so we stuck them on. The design is great - we have it set up in a square in our living room but it could be an octagon, an "L" shape, or a long rectangle. It would even work in whatever irregular configuration you wanted to put it in. The pieces seem very solidly constructed with no sharp edges or obvious places where it will wear/break in the future. Now onto the most important part - what does our daughter think? She loves it! Granted, we leave the door open 99% of the time and she enjoys going in and out and playing with the door. The door itself has some sort of spring or tension to it so that it self-closes. Luckily it does not close so hard that it latches, but it does stay shut on its own. The bright colors and little play things on the sides keep my daughter entertained and happy even when she's inside with the door locked. We just throw all her toys inside and let her go at it. I wish we would have bought this sooner - it's awesome!
decent buy
April 16, 2017
bought this when my son was 6mths old he's now nearly three. I've had it indoors and outdoors (camping) it is a great product. Thick plastic although i don't care for the suction cups on the bottom as a few stayed suctioned to the floor so if your not going to suction cup it to the floor i would just remove those right off the bat. Now that he is bigger he can push it around but he hasn't been able to take it apart or climb it without the help of something else such as a toy to stand on or pile of blankets. I also use it as a room divider for in the house and a circle outside. cleaning is super easy too i use Clorox wipes on it.
I'm so pleased with this purchase

I'm so pleased with this purchase. It keeps my 9 month old happy and contained and my dogs away from her. I can make dinner in the other room now without worrying about her getting into everything! The plastic walls are very sturdy. She loves crawling in and out of the door when I leave it open. It is very large when assembled with all 8 pieces. I currently have it set up with 6 so it doesn't crowd our living room too much and there is still plenty of room for her to move around inside.
Other Great uses!
October 17, 2015
I used this playpen at work for a year. Purchased when my daughter was almost a year old. I had to take it in and out of my car everyday at work and I was worried that it wouldn't hold up due to it being hollow plastic. I was pleasantly surprised! It held up so well that I will be able to use it again for the next baby. My daughter is now two and knows how to stack things so she can climb out and she's tall. However she has never been able to figure out how to unlock the gate. All the toys on the toy panel still work and have held up despite my daughter being rough with them. None of the connector pegs have come off during transport. I really worried they would pop off since they weren't solid and were jostled in my car all the time!Just like previous posters have stated the only thing that I ever really had a problem with are the stickers! I ripped a few of the bears putting them on. And when my daughter learned how to pinch things she pulled off any sticker that was on the inside. However, the shiny stickers held up and stick better than the others! Also the ramps at the gate came off due to the constant in and out of the trunk. They did not break just popped off and I never put them back on.Other uses you might not have thought:1. Block areas that I could not use a baby gate.2. Painting inside. I set an easel up inside with a cheap plastic table cloth covering my floor and let her and a child I babysit paint. Since there are two of them it can be hard to do messy activities because I worry about them running over to my couch and painting it despite me watching. So this play yard is definitely a lifesaver for that!3. Camping! This is very portable for camping. We used it to keep my daughter in our camping area and help keep her away from the fire. We put an RV outdoor carpet down to keep her from getting muddy.4. Pug containment. I've also used this to keep my pugs in (since they can't jump high) when I need them out of the way to do something really quick. Never used to contain when we haven't been home.5. Great for blanket forts or tents! If you found this review helpful and informative, please click yes! Thanks!
Great price for a baby "prison" to keep them safe & sound in the house
August 3, 2015
It is big enough to let your baby have space, or put a couple of them in here.I sometimes curl up in it with my child to play together. It is also large enough that when they start to pull themselves up, they can grab it & do laps around the inside, in safety, as they learn to walk.It snaps together easily. This is 5' x 5', so be prepared for the room it is in to be dominated by it, but I refused to put my kids in a tiny prison cell, I wanted them to have space to roll around, throw toys, and stretch out in safety. The suction cup feet are useless as suction cups, but they do prevent scratches on hardwood floors, so they do function well.I highly recommend that you go over the edges of it to check for mold flash lines on the parting lines of the molds, there are a couple here & there that can be smoothed off very easily, either with a sharp knife or by the flame method. I won't tell you how to do either, that is your job to look them up & decide if you are OK doing them or not. (Google & Youtube are your friends)Also check for any trimming waste that may be inside any of it, so your little one does not ingest a sharp piece of plastic. For the most part these were OK in all of the above respects, but check anyway.I also highly recommend taking a set of interlocking play mats & making a pad for the inside of this. (See one of my other reviews for what I used). I needed to trim 2 sides of the completed mats to fit inside, but it is an awesome addition to the setup. Tape the mats together underneath them & then take the tape from underneath the mats & tape it up the bottom edge of the pen, it will lock the walls in place & prevent your boisterous baby from walking the pen all over the floor, or tipping it over, changing the shape etc. of the pen.It works well for the price & I am happy
Great for years, and in-demand when you want to resell!
April 14, 2015
This has been a lifesaver in my house since my daughter (who is now almost 2) was first beginning to walk. As a single mom, it would allow me to put her in a "safe zone" to do something else for a few minutes (always within eyesight, of course) but eased a lot of anxiety. I purchased this because I saw a friend had a similar playpen and she claimed that it was STILL useful for her nearly 3 year old. Now that my daughter is 2, I can totally see why! We keep a lot of her toys in the playpen as a sort of "containment area" so they don't consume my house as well! Highly recommend. Side note: if you are on any Facebook swap sites, used versions of these playpens sell quickly once your children outgrow it, so you can recoup about half the cost as well!

Quality and worth it!
October 21, 2016
This baby gate was exactly the dream I hoped for. It was simple to put together and easy to lock the panels into place. Very little assembly for the quality of the product. One of the inside the panels comes with a learning center with a few extra built in activity and the gate looks and and unlocks easily for adults. My child has been playing in and can frequently look back and still see me which comforts him. We bought this to use as he gets older to help provide a safe area where he can move around and explore. The gate comes with plenty of space for this to happen. It conveniently fits into any odd space you have in your home. Honestly I wish I would have invested in this sorry. Wonderful for the price!!
Great except for the plastic shards
May 19, 2014
This play yard (ok fine, baby jail) is great for little movers. It gives our son plenty of room to play without us worrying that he's going to injure himself somehow. It's really easy to put up and take down, and if you use all of the panels the play area is a really good size. The one problem we have with it is the panels are leaving twisted plastic shards everywhere. I first noticed it when I saw the baby with something bright blue in his mouth. After digging it out I saw it was a piece if plastic that had fallen from a panel, almost as if the machine shaping the panels didn't clean them off properly. Now we vacuum obsessively around it and search the ground with a flashlight after putting it up. I've picked up at least 20 small pieces in the three times we've assembled it, and most are 1/4 to a full inch long. Eventually all of the shards have to come off, but you would think a company making baby toys would be more careful about something like that. If it weren't for the shards, I would have given this five stars.
Big Area For Play, and Sturdy So Far
May 2, 2012
I see this is out of stock right now but am writing a review in case it does become available again.I received this last week and am very happy with it so far. My daughter is just about 9 months and she is pretty active. I have this set up on a carpet and blanket and she cannot move it and it won't fall down at this point. There are suction cups on the bottom of each panel that I guess are for if you put this on a hard surface. When shopping online (had an AMazon credit), I looked at 3 choices for a playard -- those white gates that are also used for pets -- and the other colored pen on Amazon (the four panel one that is 13 sq ft). I know a lot of people that use the white ones and they are happy but i was worried my baby would knock them down in a few months. And the other colored pen seemed too small (13 square feet). This one I calculated is 5'2" on all four sides, when all 8 panels are used. Assembly was very easy. The pieces snap together well. We didn't put the stickers on b/c I don't think it needs them, but also because other reviews said their babies tried to eat them. The toys on the wall are okay. My baby really likes the phone, but I didn't buy this for the toys. Also as far as height, I was worried it would be too short (23 1/2" high). My baby is 29 inches right now and she just gets her chin to the top, so no worries there for a while.Bottom line -- for $100 (plus I paid $25 in shipping), this is just what I was looking for. She likes being in it, for the most part, and I can put her in there and not be worried every second where she is going. I have not childproofed yet! Her arm did get caught in between the rails once so far when she fell against the wall trying to pull up, but that can happen in the crib too. I have a medium sized living room, not big at all, and this takes up one end of the room, which is fine with me. Oh, and I or my husband can get in there with her too. Or you can have two babies in there.I think this is a good buy. It's made my life much easier!
As essential for a growing baby as her crib!
April 8, 2012
I'm the Giga of a bouncing year old girl. This was purchased for her first birthday. Any little thing she finds tends to go from hand to mouth at this age and keeps me very busy and very anxious. I purchased this for safety's sake. It is amazingly easy to put together. Its roomier and larger than I expected. I read a review that said that the plastic was of poor quality, but I don't see that. Certainly the plastic isn't the same quality of a little tikes toy. However, if it were heavier, this play yard would be too heavy to move around easily. She does get tired of it after a couple of hours. Overall, she really does like to play in it and has more freedom than she had with her jumperoo. This is definitely a great next step as we move past the age/weight limitations of the jumperoo. I read another review that stated that a child was able to climb over it and fall easily, but I don't find that to really be an issue. My grandbaby is in the top 85 percentile for height (her dad is 6'3") and at her present age and height, its not an issue. She can barely see over the top and isn't even close to figuring out she can stand in between the slats. The instructions specifically state that if your child is capable of getting over the top, don't use it.It has totally exceeded my expectations at this point. I actually breathed a sigh of relief when I put her in it as I was really having difficulty keeping every little bit of every little thing off the floor. I would definitely recommend this for any crawling baby to toddler provided that they aren't acrobats!!I do want to add that the instructions are not detailed with this. It's still easy to put together, but they read like they were written by a 5 year old, and are not detailed in the least. Just a hint on adding the stickers--if you make sure the neck and shoulders of the bears are in correct position, they are very easy to put on. I have not had any problems with them staying on so far, and I really like the looks of the play yard with the stickers as opposed to without.I'm amending this review a bit. I have had this for about 3 weeks now. I still think its great! HOWEVER--DO NOT USE THE STICKERS!!! They do not adhere well to the plastic. They also have a plastic film over the top that when separated from the paper, could easily choke a baby. In fact, my G baby ripped one of the Teddy Bears off and the plastic was exposed. Luckily I caught it before she put it in her mouth. I ripped off every single sticker. I'm surprised the stickers have not been recalled.I've had this for three years now. I still love it! She's four this year and this fence has been a God-send. After she got a little older, I was able to take it apart and use sections to cover the hallway entrance. Later I used like 5 sections and closed off my kitchen area. She never fell over the top of it, but she did learn how to open it :) (That's my baby!!!) I would recommend this to any mom, dad, or Giga. Best purchase I ever made for her, other than her radio flyer horsey!
misleading
October 25, 2011
My wife and I bought this play yard for our son because it is the nicest we've seen on the market for the money. This isn't a pet yard, so your child won't look like an animal inside it. It actually has some educational value with the primary colors, so you can start to teach your child the colors upon arrival, then move on to what's inside. You should know, however, that if you want to make it into a square shape with the rounded corners as shown in some of the product images, you need to buy those corner pieces separately. Someone else reviewed this play yard and discovered the same thing when they opened the box. It's one of those things where you open it up and go..."Oh...so it doesn't come with the rounded corner pieces as shown in the photo? You have to buy those separately??!! The manufacturer needs to be clear in the ad description regarding what pieces are included. What you CAN do with what's in the box is make it an 8 panel, 6 panel, or L shape play yard if you wish, without buying additional pieces. Thanks for reading and I hope you find this review helpful.
Great Buy!
December 19, 2010
I couldn't find this type of play yard at a local store; Walmart, Target, etc. I didnt want a play yard that looked like a jail and was a bland gray color with a fence like look. I did a search and found this colorful, durable, BIG, fun yard here on Amazon. I narrowed down my choice to this one because I believe it had the best reviews. I have to say I am very satisfied with the decision I made on this yard. It was a big hit for not only my 14 month daughter but other toddler family members. I dont put my daughter in it too often, mainly when I need to get something done and cant chase her around the house at the same time. The plastic is a thick durable plastic and holds up well. It comes with suction type cups for the bottom for wood, etc flooring. But I have kept it on our area rug in the living room and it does great. I really like how it moves pretty easily to form different shapes. I can make it more round or square or even long rectangular, just depending how I want it. Each panel attaches (snaps) on pretty easy. The toys that come on one of the panels have been entertaining for her. The gate door is great. The door has a locking mechanism on it that is quite difficult for a toddler to undo, plus it is on the outside of the door. The door has springs in its hinges, so it does automatically swing back, which is both a pro and con. I watch her as I let her out becuase I dont want it to hit her as she walks out. But I do like that is doesnt just stay in an open position too. It is BIG just like all the other reviews say. Thats what I really love about it. The only real CON about it, in my opinion, is it doesnt fold together. To move it, you really need to take it a part. I take it a part in sections of two panels at a time, but they dont fold flat :( Other than that, I would recommend this to any toddler parent. Very satisfied!

I bought this when it waa $110 and for that amount compared to what it is now, I'd expect it to come with THE STICKERS!!!!! Would really make this a cute gate. 3 stars for overall structure just wish it came with everything pictures for the price.
Good but not great

The whole thing is easy to install, however I just don't agree on the quality for that price. The door was not very easy to open. And I kept finding the plastic remaining.
Read full review. Great product just need some adjustments
April 3, 2015
So I bought this through Amazon for my first child when he was around 6 months because I felt the portable playards were akin to baby jail. I love this product. Customizable, bright colors, sturdy, durable easy to clean. So when I started using it for my 2nd around the same time, I had full faith in this product. I never put the. Stickers on as per other reviewers recommendations because they peel off easily, so when I went to pick up my son and saw him chewing something, I was a bit surprised. It was blue plastic. I looked around at the toys, and couldn't figure where it came from. Then i took a panel off and shook it and out fell some plastic pieces from the drill holes. Apparently one should shake panels out before using to remove the plastic pieces that came off during production. Can def be a choking hazard, you might not even notice they fall out when using the gate.
Great product, with just a few concerns
December 8, 2013
All in all the product is what I expected and works well; however I don't recommend using the bear stickers that came with it, as they are just falling off after a few days. Stickers went on well and had no air pockets or wrinkles and looked great at first, but have unexpectedly (and w/out assistance) begun peeling and falling off creating a choking hazard for my 8 mos. old. Perhaps try cleaning the plastic with isopropyl prior to application, something I did not do.Also, I would highly recommend removing the safety sticker attached to the inside of the door prior to use as well and for the same reason. I set my son down long enough to get a glass of tea and returned to find he had half the sticker in is hand and was putting it to his mouth. Upon inspection I found that by simply running my hand over it, the sticker peeled right off; maybe not the best location for it, perhaps on the outside of the door would have been safer.Otherwise I am pleased with the product and am thinking of ordering another one for use in my office. It was as described and was put together in just a few minutes with no effort and is just as easliy disassembled and moved for cleaning of floors, etc. It is such a relief to have a safe place to put him down for independent (monitored) play time without constantly chasing behind him.
Perfect for multiples
November 22, 2013
My husband wanted to get this product for our twins, and though I was doubtful of its necessity, it has been very helpful and I would recommend it, especially for multiples. It is quite large and flexible and easy to put together. I recommend that you hang on to that box for storage later on.The cons with this product are my opinion:1. I feel it is more expensive than it needs to be, and shipping seems a bit excessive.2. As mentioned in other reviews, the stickers can lose their stickiness and peel off.

September 23, 2014
This product is great for keeping your child from crawling everywhere (until they realize they want to be out). However, there are 2 plastic pieces (like suction cups) on the bottom of each panel to keep the panels from moving. I have found these plastic pieces in my child's mouth on several occassions. There used to be a total of 16 plastic pieces now we are down to about 8 and the panels move everywhere. Not to mention that my child could have very easily swallowed the suction cup and died...
I don't like this unit I should bought another product

The hole on the top that is the handle hole should be remove. Our baby is constantly putting his arm through it. I am afraid the fall down and his hand get stuck and break his hand. So I decided to put a tape to the hole.

NOT SAFE!
March 24, 2017
Dont by this; It is not safe; The suction cups started breaking off into small pieces that we found on the floor that could be a choking hazard; It also is now useless because the baby can move it all over with out the suction cups making it unsafe as well; Some of the small pieces of the suction cups are also trapped inside the plastic panel rattling around and we dont know if they might fall out radomly
Safety Hazard! Should be Recalled!
August 11, 2015
I would give this 0 stars if I could. The item arrived exactly as it appears in the pictures and assembled easily enough. However, as others have pointed out, there are gaps in all of the joints that make excellent foot holds which allow small children to climb over it. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for these gaps! I believe all of the 5 star reviews are from parents who just got the playpen with their first child and haven't tried using it with an 18 month old. My daughter is small for her age at 21 months old, and she climbed out of it. This should be recalled due to its poor design.
Low quality and poor customer service
May 5, 2015
We are very disappointed in the quality and customer service of this product. Shortly after starting to use this product ( we ordered it and stored because our baby wasn't ready to use it) we noticed the main gate door was damaged. The plastic upper hinge (on the side that doesn't open/shut) was splitting and we were concerned it was going to get worse. We sent an e-mail to the company hoping they could send out just the main gate door and we could send the damaged one back.Best Choice Response: "Unfortunately, we currently do not have spare parts for this item that we would be able to sell to you separately. Also, the unit is past it's 90 day warranty offered at the time of purchase so we would be unable to send any replacement at this time."Now, we are taking it out of storage after little use with our first daughter. The gate plastic has completely cracked and the gate is unusable. How do you use a "gated" playpen without the gate?

STICKERS CHOKING HAZARD
October 31, 2013
The play yard itself is great, its sturdy and a good size. HOWEVER, the stickers come off easily and have a clear cellophane type plastic on the outside. My 7 month old easily pulled it off and was chewing on it and started choking. There is nothing worse than hearing your child choke and you can't do anything about it. Buy the play yard, but leave the stickers off!
Very poorly made with zero customer service from the seller.
February 27, 2013
This product is poorly made. The end joints do not disassemble easily and are weak in construction. When you attempt to assemble or disassemble the pins will end up breaking off. We used care when performing this and still ended up with broken pins. When I contacted the customer service for assistance I was told there was nothing they could do. Had I recieved any customer service I would have been willing to moderate my review. Based upon the quality of construction and the horrible customer service stay away from this product. There are other companies who value your business by providing a higher level of customer service.
