Great product. i Loved from the very first time I used it. You can't be disappointed.
Quality product, awesome price

Awesome price! This is my color, have been wearing it for years....and you can't beat the price (worth it to say so twice)!
I am obsessed with the 6RB!!
January 30, 2016
I love love love this color ! I'm naturally a medium brown with a few greys. I have fair skin and hazel -green eyes and I like how the loreal excellence creme in 6RB looks with my complexion and eye color. The color on me matches the color on the box very closely. The smell of the color is not bad and I love the non drip formula and the comb applicator makes it easy to apply to the mid shaft and ends of my hair . I like the regular bottle tip for the roots then I switch when it's time to pull it through . The only thing is that the pretty red tone does fade quickly without proper care . I use a red color depositing shampoo and conditioner( I like Zotos Quantum Reds from Sally's ) and always rinse the shampoo and conditioner out with cold water . This really helps ! The conditioner that is included leaves my hair soft and silky .
Covers white hair with the actual color on box!
November 28, 2015
Only hair dye I've found that covers white hair with the actual color on the box and doesn't just make the white hair look blondish-red. I use dark ash brown and like the fact that it doesn't give me any brassy colored highlights. I get shiny, dark hair. The color does look darker on me than what the box shows, it's nearly black. The chemical smell is extremely strong, and takes a wash or two before wearing away completely. My hair is extremely long, (below my waist) and fine, but not thin. I only need one box to cover all of my hair. I've used this dye every month for over a year now and my hair has remained strong and has no split ends (I do trim it every 8 weeks or so). Great hair dye for people like me who have those tough to cover white hairs coming in!
Gorgeous Color!

L'Oreal Excellence, Dark Golden Blonde 7G - I had a faded strawberry blonde shade left in my hair, and was not sure how this would come out. I left it on a little longer than usual, to cover existing grays. Well it not only got rid of all the old red tone, it left my hair soft and shiny and a beautiful shade of dark blonde, very natural with golden highlights, just as the box shows. Absolutely fool-proof, I will never use anything else but L'Oreal again!
Soft Color
November 17, 2014
I will start by stating that I usually buy the color Medium Blonde 8bb , but it has become very difficult to find. I thought I would give this color which seemed close a try, being the same brand and along the same color line. I need this color to cover a bit of gray (silver) that has taken over my hair and also I had once put a reddish color in and this color was needed to tone down that red. So I tried this Medium Blonde 8 and I really don't see much difference between this and the Medium Blonde 8bb, it works great to cover the silver and got rid of my reddish tones. I love that it applies easily and the pre- conditioner is awesome. I have long hair and there is more than plenty to do my entire head if I want to. My hair ended up softer and in better condition than before coloring, they include an after conditioner that can be used several times. I like this color and I only buy this brand because I trust it. If you have any reddish tones you need to tone down this is the color to get (try) make sure you leave it on long enough , if you wash out too soon you may end up with the red tones. It takes time to process , follow the directions as the time states and you should be happy with the results. My hair is soft, shiny and looks nice, I have received compliments on my hair so it must look pretty good !

Good basic color, easy to use, nice shine
June 27, 2017
Got it in the chestnut brown to tone down an unpleasantly brassy red after a violet/blue dye. My goal was to make my hair look more natural and not surreal like a Dali orange halo. Worked just as hoped, cooled me down without turning my hair brown. Gray root coverage was meh but ok. After a few weeks though it faded hard and after a month, I'm almost back to the orange halo effect. Had hoped for better, more lasting coverage but I will give it another try. Easy to use, easy to apply, arrived intact and at a great price.

Product is great but it is not the lastest "version" which has 2 small packettes of shampoo and a really good smelling conditioner. The color itself seems to be the same quality.
No More Grey Hair
March 2, 2017
This is a great product for covering grey hair!! It doesn't drip or have have a strong odor and leaves your hair silky smooth. It comes complete with pre-conditioner, colorant, shampoo packets, and conditioner for color treated hair. It's the "All-In-One", easy to use home hair coloring kit! I usually save the shampoo packets for when I travel and want to wash my hair with "shampoo for color-treated hair", instead of hotel shampoo.

Seems to be a good product.
Satisfactory, product yielded to specifications and is simple to use
June 29, 2015
Thought I should take the time in writing my experiences in this, as I went through a lot of deliberation before dying my hair. This was the first time dying my hair. I am a natural blonde, but kind of more mid-range shade. I wanted a really natural looking red, and nothing too dramatic as to make too much notice of myself. I also was worried that my natural color would somehow be damaged or I'd never be able to go back to it after dying.I've attached a photo, the left being me before, then the two on the right after using the dye on the first day. This was about 3 ish weeks ago.I was initially very happy. The application process was simple and easy to follow (yes there is a horrible smell, but what can you expect. I didn't think it was too bad though, just give some ventilation) and initially looks much brighter before you rinse it out...Don't get nervous. Afterwards, the product yielded a nice kind of copper / penny color. It looked natural in my opinion, but can sometimes be difficult to discern under different lights whether it is brown, blonde, or red. It's a little darker than I was also hoping for, but I think that is dependent on your natural shade. After several washes now with normal shampoo and the conditioner they provided in the box, my hair now 3 ish weeks later is still red, but to me in my bathroom light, can fool me into thinking I am still blonde. Again, it depends on the light you are under. It's definitely not as noticeable to me as when I first had this done. So if you're worried like I was about ever going back to your natural color, don't be. But, from what I hear, dying and staying red is one of the hardest colors to maintain as it is.All in all, pretty satisfied with the outcome, and did meet my expectations of what my initial hair dying process might be like. Hope this helps anyone out there on the fence about the product!
New at hair color
December 7, 2013
I didn't love this color because it did not turn out like the box at all. The color that it did bring out in my hair was acceptable so I won't give it bad ratings, and the color system was VERY easy to use and did not drip. I bought the same brand again but not the same color. But such is the nature of coloring hair. I love the conditioner and I wish we could just buy the conditioner it makes my hair so soft!

The color came out pretty nice. There were a few more warm tones than I wanted, but overall I was pleased. However, my hair took a lot of damage in the process, despite a relatively brief dying period.

Hair is Light Redish Color
April 16, 2014
Well, title says it all, im dark blonde as is and wanted a bleach blonde look. Granted I really didn't look to hard or in stores/in person for a product, so I guessed of the internet for the best product. Don't get me wrong, you can't go wrong with Loreal, its just that THIS PRODUCT FOR MY NEEDS was wrong. And quite honestly it was my fault as I should have invested more time into looking, but either way my hair did turn into a very faint light red color as a dark blonde hair person myself.
Clairol Natural Reddish Blonde better for dark roots
September 25, 2013
I am an older natural redhead and I am getting white hair in the front. Now that I am older I like to lighten the rest of my hair a bit as I color the white. I found that the L'Oreal does not feel as itchy when applied, but also it does not lighten my roots very effectively. It does cover the white hair well. I guess if you are starting with a lighter natural color L'Oreal would work for you, but if you have any roots that are darker than the color you are trying to achieve I would recommend that you try Clairol. I have found that Clairol does a better job of lightening my roots and achieving a more even overall color.

I've salvaged the mess it made.
May 5, 2017
I wanted to try to lighten my light blonde hair with a ashy tone to cover any possible brassiness. I followed directions to the T.It was a nightmare. "orange hair" . Then it just hurt my feelings more because it took a while to receive it, and whileI was waiting I happened to find it locally for a lot cheaper. Use with caution. I was able to salvage my hair back to it's original color.
I have started to get a few gray hairs here and there that were annoying me whenever I looked closely in the mirror
January 31, 2017
My natural hair color is as shown on the box. I have started to get a few gray hairs here and there that were annoying me whenever I looked closely in the mirror, so I decided to try and color my hair. Unfortunately after coloring my hair is both darker and now has a reddish/orangeish tint to it. Nothing particularly artificial-looking, but certainly not what I was going for with an ash color. It did cover the grays, though. Maybe the darkness will fade a bit but I imagine I'm stuck with the orange. Would have preferred to stick with my grays!
Disappointed in coverage of grays.
January 9, 2017
I have used L'Oreal Paris Hair Color for some time. My hair is about 25% gray and I always leave the coloring on the temples longer due to getting proper coverage results. This particular color formula did not cover the gray very well at all. I don't know if it has been reformatted or what, but I am extremely disappointed. The color is pretty, the coverage.... not so much!
Turned out much darker!!
August 21, 2016
I used the Medium Maple Brown. There is no medium hair color for me! I now have very dark brown hair color! It is much too dark for me. It is also much darker than it shows on the box. It did cover the gray. I had highlights put in to light the whole effect. I usually use a cheaper brand that leaves me with soft highlights. I will have to use it for a touch up, but I am disappointed.
The tube had burst on mine.

Way too dark

I have medium brown hair so I bought this product. However, this is way too dark for my hair. Now I have black hair.

I have pink hair... THANKS!
May 16, 2017
This turned my blonde hair pink. This dye has A LOT of red tones in it, so if you are looking for the color on the box I would keep looking as this didn't even come close. I didn't even reach a brown tone, I was more orangey pink than I was brown. I bought SIX boxes of this stuff and had to use three boxes since the bottle size was very small. I wouldn't even compare it to Sally's hair colors as they are just as worse. If you want a good hair color brand pay the extra and go with Schwarzkopf (or the salon LOL). I would not recommend any hair dying products from L'oreal as there products are extremely drying on more coarse hair.

Sad, because I've been using L'Oreal since I was 13 yrs old, and never had a problem until this past two years. None of the colors I try are working correctly. The Red 4RM I purchase washed out of my grays in less than a week, and so then I tried another color and it made my hair black even though it 6AB chick Auburn said it wouldn't; so it ruined the pics I was schedule to be in by making my hair black. So disappointed!
Definetely not for me
