| | Quality productAugust 31, 2016 Purchased a year ago, happy with this item. At first I found I needed to adjust to it so didn't write a review right away. Today I was making hot pepper relish which requires at lot of seeding and cleaning of small peppers (cayenne, jalapenos, chili). I found I could use the peeler to clean the membranes quick & easy. Also after a year the blade is still very sharp and no rust. Very pleased with my purchase. Depending on the pressure you can slice extra thin for peeling or thicker slices for eating. Simple, Easy Alternitive to Spiralizing Machine.August 4, 2016 I previously purchased one of those spiralizing machines -which I loved but after the first month never used it again. I have a smallish kitchen and couldn't keep it out on the counter regularly (and it's white plastic so not the best looking item). This is much simpler and I find that I use it very often because of it's simplicity. It's not big and bulky and it takes up no room. Of course you don't get the beautiful long spiral noodles with this one but if you're making a quick lunch for yourself who really cares. I still love the spiralizing machine and would use it if I was having a dinner party or cooking for more than one person but in the meantime this other device keeps me in cucumber noodles on an almost daily basis. Very good quality and the best way to cut Julienne with very little effort and perfect looking. I love it, makes cooking so much fun, so far I used for carrots and potatoes and I couldn't be more happy. One tip only : Be careful it is sharp and I have the marks to prove it! Hold the vegetables still, dry the water from vegetable and fruits before using it so to prevent slipping. Good peeler. Nice feel. Gets better the more you practice with it.June 22, 2015 This peeler works well and has a nice heft to it. The included brush is quite useful and often needed. I use it mostly for peeling veggies even though it has a julienne side as well. I prefer a ramp julienne slicer (with holder) to cut ribbons or strips of veggies rather than this device because I feel it is safer and easier to control. I will use the iPerfect in a pinch so long as I am careful.
I'd recommend this device for peeling at least.

Update: 7/29/15 - Yes, it seems the longer I use it and more proficient I get with it, the better I like it. Controlled properly, it does an outstanding job of peeling... everything. Practice makes perfect. I'm upgrading from 3 stares to 4.
Update: 12/24/15 - Okay, now it's 5 stars. Continues to peel in an outstanding manner and stays sharp. I'm getting really good and fast with this thing. | | I find this appealing...July 20, 2016 Very sharp! Hopefully it keeps its edge. It makes peeling a breeze. If you are in the market for a new peeler, look no further. The little knife that comes with is nice. I don't like the cover on the knife, it doesn't stay on very well. I would like it better if they had a little tighter tolerances on that but its not why i bought the peeler anyway. Delightfully new way to enjoy vegetables.July 12, 2016 This tool is fun and makes great threads of veggies which in turn are delightful to eat. Once I have the strings of daikon or carrot cut they absorb the dressing and in turn are quite tasty. If I have any complaint it would be the tool took a little more time than I expected to clean. I also employ a tooth brush to clean it as well as the brush included. The head cover is a must as it protects the cutting edges. Perfect Peeler for Making Vegetable Based Meals!December 7, 2015 This was a great peeler! Perfect for making lasagna with vegetable strips which is why I purchased the product. I only gave 4 stars because it takes a few practice peels to get a decent strip, but overall it's great. Some reviews mention how dangerously sharp it is... It is sharp, but I don't quite see how you would knick your finger like that unless you put your finger right under the blade while you peeled. It's safe to use if you're using it properly. The cleaning brush works perfectly to get all the little food bits out of the metal teeth. Very satisfied with this peeler. Highly recommend it! Like it very much -- use it for ZoodlesAugust 28, 2015 Works pretty well for zucchini noodles. Very sharp. The food does get caught in the teeth, though, which is what the brush is for. Much easier than trying to julienne squash by hand though the process is kind of messy. When I get 2/3 of the way through a summer squash or zucchini, the effectiveness is reduced because it's hard to hold and the vegetable becomes pliable. Not supposed to eat the "bitter" seed part anyway, I guess. |

I got it for the julienne shredder and it gets clogged easily and it is very difficult to clean. It came with a cleaning brush, but the bristles are too soft so it doesn't help at all. It snags and gets clogged a bunch. the little knife that came with it, and the little brush cleaner, are both handy. not as easy to use as it seems.July 28, 2016 not as easy to use as it seems. i tried using it today for the first time on carrots and it kept getting stuck at the ends and wouldn't pull through the blades. it kept getting stuck. very frustrating to use. it was easier to use my 8" chef knife to julienne the carrots. i never got the book, knife, or the manual guide, just the tool and the little brush. zoom in on teeth and you'll see the bend Julienne Tool Broke on Second UseFebruary 25, 2016 I liked the results the first time I used it, but the outside metal plate that is part of the julienne tool snapped off on the second use. is not good at allJanuary 4, 2016 I used it twice. The first with zucchinis was ok, except for a little cut in my finger (be careful). The second, the piece covering the vertical blades, popped out. The electric welding was so weak not to withstand producing noodles from a summer squash.
I will be looking some other type of utensil to produce my zoodles. This, far from iPerfect, is not good at all.
