My Grandson is 2 yrs old and big for his age. For some reason he is fixated on police, and was running around the house with this corky little police hat i bought him from the dollar store. Well, we bought him this police uniform for Christmas, and when he opened it up Christmas day, he was so happy he really didn't want to open the rest of his gifts. When we finally dressed him in it, and let him see himself in the mirror, I can't begin to tell you how lit up his face was. He loves it, and every chance he gets he brings it to us to put on him, or tells us "police:. It is worth every penny we spent to get him this police costume set. He looks similar to the boy in the advertisement picture.

My son wanted to be a police office for Halloween, so I found this and ordered it for him. It came in a very timely manner and it was so cute in person, very detailed. The badges are embroidered on, the buttons on it are very pretty and detailed also. The hat was just a little crooked but not enough to be really noticeable unless you were staring at it. One thing that I noticed is that the material itself is thin, which worked out well for us as it was 83 degrees here for Halloween yesterday. I would say if you are buying this from a colder climate then be prepared to layer it over long johns or something of that nature. Oh, and the shirt doesn't really "button" up, it has a long Velcro strip all the way down but the pockets on the shirt do actually button closed. I had my son wear an undershirt so that it wouldn't scratch him. The pants are elastic around the waist as to accommodate the different sizes. He loved the whistle and gun belt. He can't wait to wear it again and he loved it, so naturally I was very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.

This is a great set. Fits my son well. He's right on the cusp between a size 6&7 in clothes (long torso). He has an adult size head and the hat expands to fit. Overall, he has room to grow in this outfit. He's worn it a few times now. No obvious defects, nothing falling apart. Bought him a pair of silver aviators from the dollar store and some hand cuffs from another Amazon vendor. Look complete.

My little girls looks so totally awesome in this and her aviators. She wanted to be a stop sign for Halloween, but I talked her into a cop with a stop sign. She really is a kind of "the buck stops here" kinda gal. The whistle is really annoying and blows spit everywhere. I have been thinking of putting a dog whistle on it...... I'm not sure my nerves can take it all night.

I bought this for my 4-year old son. He wears a 5/6 and I ordered the small, which fits him perfectly. The waist is pretty stretchy and length was a tad long, but we won't need to do any hemming. I'm impressed with the quality and fabric of this product. The top and bottom are separate, so it'll need to be tucked in. The top is secure by Velcro (buttons are fake) and then it comes with a real black belt. The belt has several holes, so it'll fit most waist sizes. It also has a gun holster, but it's not attached so it's optional. The back of the shirt says POLICE in large white letters. Overall, incredibly pleased compared to costumes in stores that are often made of polyester and rip easily. This will be something he can play in for quite some time and will be great for Halloween!

I got this for my 5 year old son for his Halloween costume this year and he loves it... I think it's pretty cute for the price and good quality. The only things I don't like is that the belt is way longer than any kid his age could need and the hat is very wide but overall I am pleased.

This costume worked great for my son's community day program at his school. He is a tall thin 7yr old and it fit well except for the crotch being a little long. There were numerous other police officer costumes there and this was definitely one of the nicer looking ones. May not be the highest quality material but for a customer I think it is just fine.

It really looks real. I was sad to discover that the plastic internal part of the upper peak of the hat was broken. My humble suggestion to the retailers, add more plastic bubble in the box. I paid the 2-day shipping service, since I needed this for an audition to a new school for my son. They said it woukd arrive on Easter Sunday at 8:00 PM. It arrived earlier at 12:32 PM that day. So thank you very much to the great service of the U.S.Postal Service. My son is 10 years old and 5 months, usually I have to buy to him size 10-12, pretty much since he was 9 years old. For this costume I ordered 12-14. Perfect size! And the pants and the jacket are big enough to enjoy 1 or 2 more years with this costume. The color I got was navy blue, the fabric very light, which I think is convenient for summer time, and with long under pants and long shirt perfect for winter time. If I would have received the hat in good condition I would have given this costume a 5. Neither the baton, no pistol, but a whistle come with it. The belt is very practical, with neat holes all over it, for different children's sizes. It also includes the bag for the pistol that can be inserted in the belt.

I bought this costume based on the large number of positive reviews, however I wonder if anyone had washed their costume prior to leaving feedback? My 3 year old son LOVES this costume and wore it day and night for the first 3 days before I managed to peel it off and wash it up. I used warm water, the tag did say to use cold but I wash just about everything in warm water and didn't want to run a special load just for this outfit. I thought if anything, the material would shrink which wouldn't be a big deal because it was slightly large on him anyway. Upon removing it from the washer, I noticed about 50% of the lettering had peeled off. Too bad because it's an otherwise very nice ensemble, fits true to size, my son is a small 4T, and the pants are an inch or so too long but I expected that for his height. I'll have to figure out a way to repair the lettering as this was going to be his Halloween costume as well.

I ordered this costume for our four-year-old in a size small - he is about 40" tall and 50 pounds, and it fits pretty well. The pants are a little long and the waist comes-up above his belly-button, but that's no biggie! He can wear it longer that way, which is great because he LOVES it! The quality is pretty good - the shirt is velcro in the front, not button-up, which makes it very nice for dress-up without mom and dad's help. The hat is a little stiff, but with a bit of bending and cupping it has turned-out very well. The patches are a great touch - good quality, not iron-on like some of the other costumes. The belt is definitely upgraded, per negative comments I read prior to purchase - and, it is pretty large so it should fit for quite some time. I'm not sure if the description mentioned it, but there is a holster and a whistle included - which is a nice touch.All in all, I think it's a great costume for kids - good quality, great value - just be sure to take into consideration that it is not a very warm material, so you will need to wear something underneath if trick-or-treating in the cold (i.e. maybe order a bigger size).

I purchased this product for my 4 & 6 year old. Being 48 inches tall, size 8-10 fitted perfectly for my 6 year old, my 4 year old (42 inches) fitted well into the small size (4-6). The pants were a slightly long.The uniform looks great and the quality is decent for the price. (Don't expect a very high quality, however it is much better than some other dress up uniforms we have purchased).The shirt closures are velco strips (the buttons are 'fakes') which makes it easy for little ones to get dressed / undressed themselves.The belt is much too long for children and therefore inconvenient to wear but the uniform looks well without.Unfortunately, the hat did not fit either kid, it looks good on the picture but does not stay on.The uniforms are wide enough to put over a coat (something that is good to know when celebrating Halloween in the Midwest).

My son wore this just a handful of times, and the leg seam started ripping. It is decent quality for the price, but still not great. Fits about as expected.

Nice details include sewed badges, whistle and shoulder straps.Unfortunately, this is a let down but the sticthing. We just got the costume and there are many loose strands of threads, that we had to pull or cut.

Beware of sizing for this one. I ordered it for my 2.6 year old, he is average for his height and this 2T size is way, way too big. It is made for kids likely 42" tall, not a typical 2T size around 36" high. And he belt, almost fits me as a grown adult male with a 32" waist. It would easily fit someone much, much larger than a 2T toddler. Thus is was a waist of money as it wasn't worth returning once opened. As for quality, I wanted more, but not surprised as it was just ok. I should not have expected more for around $40.

Adorable YES! Unfortunately I ordered this for a gift and the incorrect size was shipped. The size sticker for the size I wanted was slapped over another size. I emailed the company who told me I had to contact Amazon. They were unable to send me another overnight so I decided to just keep the incorrect size and hope that they could alter it slightly until it fit my niece like I wanted it to.It isn't chinsy like a lot of the costumes you can get at the store. This one is a better replica of a police costume. I love that it has the whistle and real patches on it. The pants are fairly generic (kind of like scrubs) and looked way big for the size that was sent, but I am sure that they can be rolled up or hemmed if needed.Overall-this is a very cute costume and I was happy with the quality. Was disappointed I was sent the wrong size and didn't allow myself enough time in between the time I purchased and needed it for return reasons. Oh well. She loved it and I would recommend this to anyone who's kiddos like to dress like a police officer.

Its ok as far as costumes go. Very cheaply made with cheap fabric, the hat was completely out of shape and mangled when we opened everything up. The holster looks like it could fall apart at any second. The things I did like was that it has a velcro front which allows your child to get in and out of it easily and without needing help from an adult with buttons and things like that and it came perfectly packaged on a hanger in a small garment bag. I thought that was classy and cute.

It's your pretty typical cheesy costume. It was what I expected and I'm content, but the hate has damage on the 'bill' and with Halloween being tomorrow, it's way too late to be able to do anything about it so he's going to have to deal with it I guess. Disappointing. Could have remedied, I'm sure, if I had opened it and looked it over upon arrival rather than waiting a week or so to open it.

Love the outfit. But after being in it for not even 10 Minutes, one of the gold buttons fell off in the yard and now we can't find it. Should be more durable for 30$.

Pants ripped at the seams on the first time wearing them...

This was a gift for my 7 year old nephew. I loved how it was packaged it comes in a plastic garment bag with a hanger. I like the material this is made out of looks more police official. The reason I only gave it two stars is a gold button was missing when he opened it. I was very disappointed to have this happen. If it was not for the missing button I would have rated thus 5 stars.

it has a belt but no slots to insert the belt to the pants, actually it's not even pants, it's like a pajama with elastic, very poor way to manufacture this thing.

Very disappointed mommy!! Received yesterday for my sons kindergarten graduation that they have to dress up as their career of choice. It has a large hole right on front seam of crotch. No time to send back and get replaced by Thursday hopefully i can find someone to sew the hole for me for his graduation then i am sending this back. Material is super thin and you cam tell the stitching is below standard.

This police suit is adorable, and my 5 year old looked great in it. However, the first time I washed it, several buttons came off as did the flaps on the shoulders. I followed washing instructions carefully, and it still fell apart. It's really sad that a nice costume like this that was not exactly cheap, is such poor quality. Made in China.....I am very disappointed that I paid money for this costume, when this company obviously does not have their customers' best interest in mind.

It had obviously been returned before. The legs were split up both sides- you can tell it was not stitched properly. It looks great but the quality is horrible

We gave this to my 5 year old for his 5th birthday and within 2 days the pants were completely ripped. After a week several buttons had fallen off the coat. Sadly, the quality of this suit for the price is not worth the money. The patches on the suit are nice and the coat itself is nice. I was highly disappointed, and my son is very sad his birthday gift ripped so quickly.

Out of the box, Shoulder buttons were ripped, 3 days into it, pants ripped between legs inseam. The size was 4, My son is 3, 40 pound soaking wet. Belt is too long wrapped around him twice Poor quality.

Absolutely horrible. I don't know how this costume got so many 5 Stars. It's cheap, and the hat is terrible. I'm buying another costume because this one is so bad. I'm returning it. I do not advise anyone to buy it. The brim is a hard plastic. It arrived rippled as you can see in the photo. It will not bend, so I cannot straighten it. The belt is cheap. The holster is cheap. It's just junk.

Parents beware!!For career day my son wanted nothing more than to be a police officer. The whistle was not included, plus the left leg inseam was not stitched at all. I do not have a sewing machine so I stitched it by hand. The price I paid for this item it should have been sent to me as advertised. Who ever is used for their quality control should be fired. I did not have time to send the item back and receive another one.
