like they don't last long
June 14, 2016
Man this s*** is dope son. The HD tiny, and so is everything else. What you expect though? It runs exes, you're not limited to the shit store. I read a lot of negative s***, like they don't last long, maybe these mf's got viruses, I imagine someone who uses this as their main pc has the nastiest pc-std you can get. Using it to play low demand games, browsing, etc is great, mines worked fine for months now. Great for tethering on roadtrips, etc. Oh and that free Win10 upgrade, you don't have enough space to download it on this model, so you're stuck with 10 unless you have a usb adapter, disc drive, and a copy of Win10.

Fantastic "2nd" Computer; Great for the Computer-Phobes in Your Life!
June 23, 2016
Can't believe how easy it was to set up! Answered the door, got package, and I was up and running in about 40minutes! Would have been faster, but I kept forgetting that my WiFi password started password "=XYZ" and not not password = "XYZ"! I use a Toshiba Satellite for the last 3 months, and love it. I have been trying to teach my mom (she's 80 now - shh, don't let her know I told you!) how to use a computer for YEARS, and finally figured she was intimidated with all the bells and whistles.Saw this online at Amazon, for under 140, and it included case and keyboard, is WiFi ready, has a camera, uses Windows 10, and has MS productivity programs. Everything she could possibly need to 'chat' with her sister in Florida, check the weather, and get answers to tough crossword puzzle clues! Had a 30minute 'training' session today, getting her use to the touch screen and the pointing device. So far, so good!
Really pleased with the tablet!

Excellent tablet/laptop for the price! I was very happy to see the tablet came with win10! The unit also came with a screen protector already applied which I don't think is mentioned in the product details. I recommend installing a microSD card (64GB or larger) as soon as you can. From there you can have windows install aps to the micro SD and move your docs/pics/vids there too. That will leave about 1/2 of the onboard 32GB free for the OS function, keeping the system very responsive. The keyboard is a bit smaller than standard and will take a little getting used to, but after a few days I was OK with it. Also, the touch screen works really well and the picture is great. Finally I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the forward facing camera (skype works great)! Hope this helps folks! -Ed
Tablet/Computer in one
October 4, 2015
This tablet is basically a computer with app capabilities. The tablet itself is heavy enough to suggest it's made well and is durable, while not being cumbersome. It attaches easily to the keyboard/case via magnet and remains secure. The stand on the case is easy to set up and remains in place, again thanks to magnets. It did take me a little while to get used to typing on the keyboard with my medium length nails. I was prompted with a system update immediately. While it's not an uncommon feature, I really like that it allows me to have an app in half the screen and an internet browser in the other half. This would be great for note taking while watching a video, or following a powerpoint in class. I used it to show products in one screen and operate paypal and the other. This device charged quickly and lasted 2 days with moderate use and updates. The only con I can find is the touchpad on the keyboard. It has periods where it will seem to be hypersensitive, then not respond at all, then suddenly work again. Fine motions are difficult. This isn't a huge problem for me since you can just touch the screen, but irksome at times. Overall I'd say this is a great device.
i Nice to have.

Very nice product, i updated to windows 10 and all work Fine. I used by 3 day since i received and no problems, no bugs, work amazing, it's a computer for lite work, like browse internet, consult your mail, work in excel, word etc. Very nice look and color. The keyboard that connect automatically its awesome. Very nice product i recommend for users that looking for to do a simple task on a computer. And Accomplish two objectives, Portability (Tablet) and Word (Laptop).
Almost highway robbery!

I’m here to address the complaint that all the reviews on this item are fake on the grounds that they “received the product for free in exchange for good reviews”. First and foremost I’d just like to state that the last time I checked, receiving an item for free does NOT mean you have to give it a positive review, nor does it help you get further free items from that OR other manufacturers. With that out of the way…I did, in fact, purchase this item with my own hard-earned money. So in case you feel other reviewers were “paid off”, I’m here to set you straight (Note: This will be an on-going review. I plan to update it periodically with anything I can think of, positives AND negatives). Sit back, grab a snack along with the beverage of your choice, and let’s get this thing going!Upon unpacking the device, I was pleasantly surprised as to how “heavy” the tablet was. It has some very high quality construction to it and most definitely doesn’t feel cheap in any way. Underneath I found the INCLUDED keyboard with touchpad, which I have to say is a very nice and welcomed addition. I immediately sat down at the kitchen table, attached the tablet to the keyboard base (which you can do blindfolded by the way, the magnets make it completely effortless), folded the rear of the keyboard up to support the tablet (which also uses magnets, so easy), and eagerly turned it on.In no time, Windows 8.1 greeted me, asking all the usual setup questions. A few minutes later I was looking at my fully functional desktop, and it was then that I realized how nice the screen really was! Seconds later, I was prompted to confirm if I wanted to upgrade to Windows 10! Now let me say that I’m definitely no fan of Windows 8 or 8.1, but I toyed around with it for a little bit while 10 was downloading, and I was extremely happy at the level of responsiveness it offered.During the download I received an error, which turned out to be not enough space to install Windows 10, but Microsoft made even that painless by giving you the option to add storage (usb/sd) to achieve the extra 9GB I was told I needed. Like an idiot, I plugged in a very old 512GB USB drive with some exceedingly slow read/write speeds, which really slowed down the actual installation of Windows 10 (which is no fault of the tablet itself in any way). My advice – pick up a 16GB or bigger flash drive or MicroSD if you don’t already have one! After the install that took longer than it should have due to user stupidity, a nice, shiny, GENUINE Windows 10 was waiting for my next move. At this point, I am very much a Windows 10 novice, but even after a few minutes I can already appreciate it’s improvements over the 8 era. I then decided to install Chrome, along with my favorite extensions, and take that for a spin. Let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed! Watched some Netflix via Chrome (because the Windows store Netflix is AWFUL, currently) and everything was buttery smooth. This is as far as I’ve gotten with the device so far, so for now I’ll list some pros and cons:Pros: Great looking screen, solid sound from the 2 top (in landscape mode) speakers, excellent responsiveness, nice quality physical keyboard, solid construction, good battery life, touch screen works very wellCons: The back is a glossy black fingerprint magnet (when are companies going to learn!?), can only charge via AC adapter (no usb charging, that I’m aware of), AC adapter gets kind of warm, no device color selections (you’re stuck with orange for now, which looks ok in my opinion, but choices are nice)There is a likelihood that I’ll stop by and update this review as I get more usage out of the product, but as of now, this is HIGHLY recommended in my book. All this for $200? Trust me, it’s a WONDERFUL deal!
Oustanding product. Great MS Surface alternative.

I love this tablet, but!
November 20, 2015
I had put off buying a tablet because of the cost....this one is very reasonably priced. And I really wanted a windows operating system. This tablet is fantastic! Works much better than I could have hoped for. The keyboard is really great for when you need to type more than one or two words. The screen is so clear and overall the tablet is really sturdy feeling and runs very fast. The battery seems to last a very long time. I love it. So far it has exceeded my expectations for a tablet "computer".Update. All the above still true but had to return the tablet. After three or four weeks of use noticed the touch screen was starting to d-laminate on the bottom edge. I had removed the protective film then noticed several days later the the touch screen had a small 3" long only about 1/8" of the clear top layer was separating. Amazon was very good as usual and agreed that I should return the tablet. This could be a minor defect but I did not want to take the chance that it would get worse.
this would be good budget purchase for any student looking to save money ...
November 4, 2015
The iclever is a full windows tablet and is exceptional for on the go tasking. this would be good budget purchase for any student looking to save money while being able to have full functioning processing power as far as a majority of academic assignments. It is very portable and the keyboard is full querty making the inputting of any data familiar for all pc users. I have upgraded to windows 10 successfully but had to repeat the process about three times before it was successfully completed leaving a large amount of the storage space offered initially occupied. I deleted the file called "old windows files" as my intention is to stick with the full windows 10, this freed up over 10 GB of internal memory. All in all this is a good on the go computer and functions well for internet research , document analysis, and data collection probably the best buy in terms of full functioning portable options when factoring in price.I have not tried to connect any external monitors but the option to do so via mini-hdmi is available. The fact that there is a TF card slot allows for upgradable memory. A full size USB is also an option when needed to retrieve or save data, etc. Pretty good laptop replacement if you don't mind the smaller font.
Great tablet, OK as a PC
October 13, 2015
Not a laptop replacement, but very good tablet and running full windows is awesome.First off let me state, I despise windows 8.1. However, after updating to windows 10 this tablet is much improved. The keyboard is decent and type well, although it will fall out if not on a flat surface. Annoying, but not a major problem. It says 32gb but its really 23 and after windows more like 11gb so you will want external memory.Screen is nice and responsive although not as bright as I would have hoped. The baytrail processor seems to work fine although I have crashed this thing a few times trying to run some rather advanced drafting programs. My number one gripe about this is the charger. It is god awful. Charges about 1% every 2 minutes (if using heavily it remain stagnant, the other night it was plugged in for 2.5 hours while i was running diagnostics, updates and software downloads and it gained 1% battery life over 150mins). For how small of a battery it is this is somewhat ridiculous. Also, very ironic since IClever is a portable charger company. For the price, you really can't beat it. Buy a better charger and a 32gb+ sd card and you have a very decent machine. Comes with a keyboard and case which is awesome. And as always props to Amazon for amazing delivery and service. I got same day delivery for free and it arrived less than 12 hours after I purchased.
You get what you pay for.

Why I Bought It:I ordered this tablet as a replacement for a Nexus 7 which needed to be put down.Packaging:Plain white and a little hard to get open, but everything is solidly packed. Your item won't get damaged in transit. The tablet:It's actually called a Walknbook, if you wanna Google it. I was a bit skeptical of the specs (especially the low amount of RAM) but Windows 8 has been running pretty well, so far. Keep this in mind, however: you get what you pay for. This tablet will not do anything remotely intensive. Web browsing and word processing would be about all that I trust it to do. Still, it does these well.In regards to weight and ports, both of these are great. The tablet does not feel cheaply put together. You can also use USB stuff, there's a port for HDMI, and a slot for micro SD cards (a great way to expand the small amount of storage space.) The micro USB port has to use an adapter, but it's included. Also, it boots very fast. The keyboard:Good for typing, but the trackpad is pretty bad. Also, you can't disable double tapping to click. Just keep it around to type on and use the touchscreen to click on stuff. The design is actually really cool. It will close with the tablet inside to act as a shell of sorts, and the rear piece has magnets that come together to prop the tablet up.Overall:I'm satisfied so far. This tablet is really cheap, and it doesn't underperform. However, I will be keeping a close eye on it until the 30 day guarantee expires.
Great Value!
September 5, 2015
For $200, this Windows tablet has tremendous value and is hard to beat. Having only owned an aging Android tablet, the iClever Windows tablet was a huge upgrade. I've owned the tablet for less than a week, but I feel that I can make a good judgement based on the 10-12 hours I've used it so far.As a student, one of the most important things to find on a mobile device is a good keyboard, and iClever delivers. The keyboard on this tablet is a chiclet-styled keyboard which connects to the tablet through a connector on the spine of the case. It secures using magnets; the magnets are not weak at all, and creates a good steady connection for the 5-pin connector. My only complaints with the keyboard is that I feel the left side of the keyboard wastes some space; the caps lock key is unusually long at about 2 1/2 keys wide, and the left-shift is about 3 keys wide, and the keys themselves are shifted more to the right in general. Also, on the right side of the keyboard, right-shift is only one key wide. I primarily use right-shift by preference, so having to stretch my pinky finger further than usual slowed down typing a bit. As for my typing experience, I was able to type at about 3/4 the speed that I normally can with a standard keyboard. Touch typing is a little harder with the key placement. The keyboard flexes just a bit if you put a lot of pressure on it, but it doesn't interfere with typing at all. The trackpad feels very standard; it's not bad, but it's not exceptional. The origami case is quite innovative; it folds up quickly to hold your tablet up. Other than not being able to adjust the viewing angle, no problems here.Onto the tablet itself! The tablet has a sleek form-factor; it's thin, has a decent sized bezel, and is visually attractive. The backside is glossy; it looks very nice (people have thought that this costed more than twice than what I got it for), but a downside to that is that once any of your natural human oils go onto that gloss, it's hard to get off. If I hold this like a tablet, I can feel the backside eventually getting slippery and hard to hold. I'm able to wipe it off, but I would prefer that there be more grip. The edges of the tablet are plastic and are a salmon-y orange; it looks great! The plastic feels a little cheap, but it's not very noticeable. Overall, the tablet doesn't feel fragile, but not particularly durable either. The speakers are located on the top; they sound like standard laptop speakers. They don't go very loud, but they suffice. The Windows logo on the actual tablet serves as a Start button, and I've found myself using it often; it's a nice addition. Now, how about hardware and performance? I did a free upgrade to Windows 10 on it, and I am quite satisfied. This is full Windows 10, not a limited RT version. The upgrade was flawless. There were no driver issues at all. Booting up and reaching the login screen takes about 35 seconds, and is fully usable in a minute and 30 seconds. How is the OS performance? It doesn't lag much even under load. Getting around the interface is responsive - most items take a split-second to a second to load, and nothing takes more than 3 seconds. For browser performance, I found that it performs best with only 2-3 tabs open. I tested both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, and Chrome seemed to be the clear winner for speed. The website that had the longest time opening was Youtube, which took about 3 seconds to load. However, video performance is very good, and I can even play 60 FPS at 720p (although with a stutter every 15 seconds). Skipping around the video was alright, it's not as responsive as something with more processing power and RAM, but the HTML5 player holds up. Other websites usually take about a second to load, with those containing a lot of content taking just a bit longer to load. For gaming, there's not much you can expect from this tablet. It is prone to overheating if you try to play any 3D games. I do play a game called Osu however, and I have tested it out. I can get up to 80 FPS with my gameplay, and it is consistent. I would imagine that anything else more intensive than that will really stress the tablet, and I do not recommend it.Battery life on this tablet is decent. If I'm multitasking, I can usually expect 4-5 hours out of this tablet. If I'm watching a show, watching a 24 minute episode will usually drain about 5% of the battery. Based off of this, the battery lasts 6.5 hours with just watching video. On sleep, it drains about 2-4% every hour. A major complaint I have here though is that the battery takes quite a while to charge. It can go from 20% to 100% in about 4-5 hours (my old android tablet, which has the same battery life, charges up in 2-3 hours using a laptop adapter). The charger is a simple one, it's about 4 feet in length. It does not have a brick adapter. The screen is an IPS display at a 1280x800 resolution. The colors don't particularly stand out, but it's better than most that I've seen on tablets. It's crisp and sharp for a 720p display. Before I end my review, I want to address a few more issues I had with this tablet. One is heat. If I'm multitasking, the tablet can get as hot at 65C (according to Speccy)! This is extremely warm, almost dangerously so. With normal usage, it stays around 55C. The heat is noticeable on the left-side of the tablet. Being a tablet without a large heatsink or a fan, this is unavoidable. I have solved the issue with some simple optimizations - disabling unneeded processes, services, background apps, and limited the CPU clock to around 50% when I don't need the extra power. My other concern is storage. You get about 28 GB of storage, and Windows 10 fills up 9 GB of that, leaving you with a little less than 20 GB of free space. I recommend buying a 32 or 64 GB microSD card for expanded storage. For $200, this is a great tablet. It is aimed at people who want the full Windows experience on a budget, and it follows through with that. It is perfect for students. And with that, I end my review.

October 5, 2016
Worked good for 11 months and then after recent windows 10 update, the unit is unresponsive. With no way of to receive customer support or a repair center, it now sits to collect dust. It's a real shame since prior to the malfunction it was a beautiful tablet.Update: After I wrote my original review, Hisgadget immediately reached out and offered me a replacement unit. They sent me a return label and I mailed my broken unit back. Once received, they immediately responded stating that the replacement unit is on its way and that I should receive it in 3-5 days. Now, here's where things fell apart. After 8 days passed, I inquired where the new unit is and I was told it was lost in transit and that model is no longer available. I was upset since I really enjoyed the product. It was a solid unit for the cost, however, unfortunately, it suffered hardware issues. The good news is they offered me a full refund, which, I received fairly quickly.I gave 2 extra stars to Hisgadget for rectifing this disappointing situation, however, just 1 star for a promising product that didnt last.
Product not Win10 as advertised
August 5, 2016
Currently attempting to set the tablet up. Initially it was strange as to how you get it to stand up like a PC and it's hinged design but in this case the case is your support, I guess that explains why the detachable keyboard is attached to the case...All in all it seems like a decent product, have yet to fully test it out but one glaring problem I'm facing right now is the fact that it came with Windows 8 preinstalled as opposed to what it says right here on Amazon in regaurds to having Windows 10 preinstalled. Microsoft already ended it's free update period on July 29th so I'm not entirely sure as to how to upgrade it to ten since I'm firmly set against 8.1. Unless the supplier/manufacturer steps up and attempts to fix this with me I'll ask Amazon a few questions and if they can't help then I think I'll return the tablet. There's that and the fact that the device isn't recognizing my network so I'm currently sifting through my routers back end to see if I can fix this. Just off the top of my head I think it might have to do with my network being in the 5ghz band as opposed to 2.4 so I'll check that out...Currently at the $110 price tag I got it for it seems like a great deal compared to my mothers Samsung Tab pro and features the Windows OS which is something I'm very familiar with.So far all is.. okay I guess, 8.1 is the only gripe I have so far. Wish me luck!

A nice tablet as long as you're not counting on the free Office subscription & Windows 10 download
November 20, 2015
I ended up returning this tablet for 2 reasons: I was unable to get my free 1-yr subscription to Office 365 and also couldn't utilize the free Windows 10 download. The manufacturer did try to help me with the Office subscription, but after repeated attempts to fix things over the course of a month, were unable to get it to work. As for Windows 10, I was able to start the download, but the tablet doesn't have enough memory/space for this OS, so it was useless, unless I wanted to put it on another drive, which I didn't want to deal with. Getting Windows 10 was really necessary too, because I absolutely hate Windows 8--it's the worst OS I've ever used. It's difficult to navigate and find anything and IMO, is a huge step down from Windows 7. I've heard 10 is better, so that's why I was counting on the download.Other than that, it really would have been a nice tablet; it was lightning-fast, had great resolution and seemed well-made. If they could get those 2 issues resolved it would have been a good deal.
A fair price for a fair machine
October 1, 2015
This tablet/computer has its strengths and weaknesses. Its a great little device for people on the go that need to get some small work done, and don't need a full computer. It has the convenience of the much more expensive Microsoft tablet it attempts to compete with, but don't be fooled by some other reviews, this does not have the performance of that tablet/computer.First talk about this machines strengths.-It is a very nice size-It comes with it's associated keyboard case standard in the box-the case is the "origami" style which both protects it when closed, and provides a stand when opened-it has expandable memory-it has HDMI connectivity-it has bluetooth-it runs the full computer version of Windows-it runs all the basic Windows applications you love and are used to. (word processer, etc.)-it can be upgraded to Windows 10 for free (with a few hours your time, even when straight out of the box)-it is compatible with all the USB devices you normally use-the charger is compactDon't be fooled though, this tablet does have its weaknesses:-there is only 1 full size USB port, the micro USB port requires the use of the included adapter, but hangs off the side in an annoying way, and could be lost-the product included instructions are very poor, and poorly written in what it does have. I'm still unsure if the micro-USB port could be used for charging safely, which would eliminate me having to carry around the DC.-the quality of the built in speaker is very low-the provided keyboard's touch pad is now quite centered in the keyboard, resulting in me constantly touching the touch-pad with my left palm while typing, and messing up what I was doing.-the built in microphone is of poor quality, and does not interact well with Kortana-the 2GB of ram built into the system are constantly swamped, resulting in sluggish performance. Sometimes this is quite pronounced-its hard to tell if this is again associated with the RAM, but when running more than one tab on Chrome browser, it will normally only load the page currently selected at a reasonable rate, and all web pages seem to load slowly compared to on other computers on the same network.-the flap on the front of the included keyboard does not tuck or fold away anywhere, and can be a bit irritating.Overview:This is a handy device for travelers who want to keep their bags light. It allows you to take care of all your normal housekeeping such as banking, sending emails, browsing the web, looking up phone numbers, but, at a bit of a reduced speed. I'm glad I bought this product, but I know the big name Windows competitor runs much more smoothly and unencumbered. I would say this product it worth the $200 I paid for it, but not much more. Many of the other people wrote rave reviews because the tablet comes with a card implying that you will receive free promotional products later on for any review.I hope this review helps you make an informed buying decision.

I love my new tablet! Large screen, easy to use and the keyboard integrated into the cover is great. However the customer service is terrible! In the product description it state's that you get a free year subscription to Microsoft office. Nowhere in the package does it give a product key. After calling and emailing the support line no help!

February 22, 2016
I have had this tablet for over a year so I feel that's enough time to accurately give my opinion. The battery life is very disappointing. It seems I have to constantly charge it after 3 or 4 hours of use. The tablet has frozen several times in which it will not turn on. I can always get it to restart by holding both the power and volume but I shouldn't have too. I will certainly check out other manufactures when I buy my next tablet.

It was awesome compared to the Nextbook 8
December 12, 2015
I had no problem with my Nextbook 7.85. It was awesome compared to the Nextbook 8. I will NEVER buy another one. I will list the reasons I don't like it. 1) It takes forever for it to turn on. I have to hold the button forever and then it takes forever to load and I don't have a lot of stuff downloaded on it. 2) I absolutely HATE the 'copy' feature. My old tablet (7.85) was so simple to copy. However on this 8.0 the 'new' thingys you slide to copy everything are round/oval and do not work. My blood pressure rises when I try to copy so I just forget about it. 3) The touch screen is disgusting. Sometimes I have to tap, tap, tap for it to change screens or whatever I want to do. 4) Not sure if this is a Nextbook problem or an Amazon change but on my 8.0 I can no longer do the 1 click to buy Amazon stuff. Very stupid...Amazon is losing a lot of money. 4) I DO like the clear pictures and one of the screensaver designs but that's about it. 6) Lastly, when I saw the Nextbook 8.0 I figured the screen would be square like my 7.85 (only larger) But no....it's a stupid long and skinny screen. :( DO NOT BUY ONE!

OK, it's cheap, and does it show! It's also impossible to get tech support, since they insist you upload a proof of purchase to open a ticket, but the web form won't accept it. I needed cheap windows hardware to develop with. This is cheap, but it looks like its not possible to develop with. If that's what you want, don't waste your time.

Worst Tablet
September 14, 2017
We had a hard time getting it to work properly. Microsoft office wouldn't work and eventually it wouldn't turn on. Waste of money! So disappointed!

Had the tablet for only a few months and now the device is defective. It shuts off and reboots at random. Contacted numerous places to try to fix it and it hasn't been fixed.
It seems nice, but after a few months I've had too many issues. Almost unusable.
December 28, 2015
I've had this tablet for a few months and have hit a few snags with it. I mainly use it to listen to ebooks while I work and for streaming my Steam games to my TV. For those purposes it works great. However, there are a few technical issues that I cannot tolerate.Cons:-Many times the touch screen doesn't work. I have to restart the tablet a few times and hope it decides to work. (This is a bigger issue considering the keyboard has stopped working)-They keyboard no longer works correctly. A lot of the keys now type numbers instead of letters. I have not been able to fix this. Sometimes I can't log into it because I can't type my password.-The touch screen is just horrific. When you slide your finger on it, it feels very resistant. Not smooth, like a touch screen should be. Often my finger stutters and skips because the screen isn't smooth. Also sometimes my finger makes a high pitched screech when I drag it across because the screen sucks so bad..-XBoxOne controller does not work with it-I think the mini-HDMI port is also having issues. When I plug it in, it gives me a snowy picture. Replug, gives me audio and no video. Replug, it finally works.-The charger is like 2ft long and good luck finding another if you lose it or it gets damaged.-Only comes in orange. Eww.Pros:-Really long battery life. Longest of any device I've ever had.-Starts up pretty fast.-Upgraded to Windows 10 without a problem.-PS4 and XBox360 controllers work.Overall - 2/5I'm sad that this is such a great tablet, but with all of it's issues... It's a more of a pain to operate than it should be..

November 11, 2015
Ive had this laptop for a month now and I hate it. I got it specifically for my photography business and its the worst. I thought I was getting a good deal but I got a lemon. Its hard to find anything on it, its slow as death. I have to hard start it everytime I need to use the camera on it. The camera quality is awful. I would keep looking if I was you. Seriously if your looking for something to just play on then this will be good..but if its for working don't get it. This is the first review Ive ever written but I'm soooooooo disappointed that I feel that I need to warn people. I tried uploading my photos so I could send to a lab and it wouldn't even upload all the pictures. I'm not impressed with windows 10 either. I could send it back but now I'm paranoid becuz its got all my passwords and credit card numbers on it becuz I was anticipating using it for my business. I would NOT recommend this at all. I'm soooo disappointed that I literally blew $200. I'm am grateful I didn't spend the original price though. Thank god for that!

Battery is very bad. 1 month and then should be plugged for every use.
Cool that it's a laptap

Cool that it's a laptap, but it has almost no tablet capabilities, my rotation got locked, and rotation lock wasn't on, touch screen is unresponsive, has very low memory, good for the price, but not for me.

One of the worst tablets of all time.
April 21, 2016
Don't buy this product! Don't waste your money!I received this tablet as a gift, I will never buy this product, recommend this product to anyone, or tell others about any of its good qualities, because they are virtually non--existent. Hi, I am a network admin, I have been "tech-savvy" since I was 14, where I fixed up and merged multiple Pentium II's. I tell you this because I am not a moron, I have a lot of computer experience. Take this as the final review you will ever need for this product. This is the most cumbersome, inflexible, buggy, and poorly programmed device I have come across in years. I have fixed up Acer laptops better than this tablet. Programs frequently freeze, generally because this tablet cannot operate more than 3-4 programs without one of them stalling. Solutions are sparse because tech support is awful. Not only did I provide the "proof of purchase" to show Microsoft that I am an honest customer. The tech support doesn't actually help you with specific problems. It's almost like, those problems were purposefully engineered... I knew more than the guy did helping me, it's honestly laughable. Many programs fail to download, fail to extract, or fail to run the first time. Starting up any program takes a lot of time, you need a lot of patience with this product. Oh, and I read the instructions manual, it helps you understand the features, how to use it properly... and that's about it. The manual doesn't show you how to fix anything beyond the basics, anyone with common computer sense would already have done what the manual suggests. One final thought, the battery life is poor. It's almost like... this product was designed to fail.
Would not recommend.

I got mine for Christmas last year. I used it about a week. Then it just would not charge. I recently ordered all the accessories for it. I received the car charger yesterday, and it works fine, but the tablet acts as if the insertion jack just has a short. It does this with a new charger, so I am buying an Amazon Kindle, and pray Amazon will give me a credit on the accessories i bought with the chargers. Maybe they will fit , would be nice! I would spend the extra money , but it was a gift , and a lovely gesture. But he knows now as well. . Also , large stores do NOT carry anything or have much knowledge about this brand.

Bought @ Xmas. Used 11 months, it died. Had to send back @ my expense. It was replaced. That tablet worked for 7 months. They did not honor the replacement warranty. Piece of junk. Will be buying another brand.

March 25, 2015
Nextbook 8 was advertised as being android compatable. It is not. I'm not a tech geek so I didn't know that no matter what is adveertised, Windows is not Android compatable. The ONLY reason I wanted this was so I could use it to display the results from a a diagnostic tool that uses Bluetooth technology on an Android platform. Hard lesson learned.
It's a complete waste of your money
January 29, 2015
It's a complete waste of your money. I had mine for 10 days, used it 3 times and then it shut down by itself. I haven't been able to restart it since. Tech support? Ha you have to load your receipt on their site and it doesn't work. They won't take returns if you didn't purchase it from them so if Amazon doesn't I just wasted money on this cheap product and 1 year warranty?

Problems, frustration, and money wasting
August 4, 2016
We bought 2 of these tablets for our children to use for homeschooling. For starters, there isn't enough memory on the tablet to upgrade it to Windows 10, so we are still operating on Windows 8. Both of the tablets continually lose WiFi signal and we have to restart the tablet to find it again because no other troubleshooting works. The volume randomly stops working on both tablets. Again, we have to restart to fix the issue. Less than a year after we bought them, 1 of the tablets does not charge at all. The other tablet charges fine so we know it is not the charger. We have tried alternative charging methods like USB and Mini USB but those do not charge this tablet, only the DC option does. So, out of 2 tablets, 1 woks semi-decently and now 1 is completely unusable. Im disappointed that we wasted our money.
NO Office 365 access code!!
December 27, 2015
I purchased this item mostly because it included a free yr of Office 365. After receiving the tablet and not having a access code included in the box I contacted Amazon. With the help of Amazon we tried contacting Hisgadget to no avail. Hisgadget does not answer phone calls and neither answer emails to get a Office 365 code like the tablet is advertised to have one. I would highly advise against purchasing this item if you plan on using the Tablet for that purpose.
After the first couple days I was satisfied with it
November 3, 2015
After the first couple days I was satisfied with it. Figured that I had gotten what I paid for, but now after a couple weeks this tablet has gotten so slow that I can't even watch Netflix on it. Whenever i open Google Chrome it takes up half of my CPU (not watching netflix) and when I am watching it takes up 65+ CPU. I know a lot about computes and this is unacceptable. Chrome alone shouldn't take this much and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product. Looking at the review that says "people who say this company paid for reviews are lying" is completely false. There is no way this tablet could have gotten this good of reviews for something this garbage. After about 30 minutes of use the tablet becomes very hot and makes it lag even more. definitely going to return this.
No tech support
October 30, 2015
No technical support😡😡😡😡 from the web site and no one answers the phone at this number on their web site. 18885309912. If I do not get support in the next day or two I will be returning this. I thought it would be a nice affordable replacement for my I Pad.
Terrible "laptop", ok tablet
October 16, 2015
Terrible if you actually need the functionality of a laptop. Functions as a laptop if sitting on a flat surface such as a table. But, if you're like me and like sitting on the couch with the laptop sitting in your "lap" with the option to type away on the keyboard and not the touchscreen, then this device is not for you. The screen does not have the ability to stay upright while attached to the keyboard without the assistance of the rear support case. This support may be compatible with a flat surface but is definitely NOT compatible with your lap. Impossible to use this device as an actual laptop using any surface other than a table. Not compatible with your lap, hence the name and functionality a laptop was born for.

October 8, 2015
I purchased this because of all the glowing reviews, but my experience was very different. I bought this for my wife who travels often for her work, looking for a lightweight option to replace a clunky and heavy laptop. Her needs are simple, mostly email. When it arrived I charged it up and started setup. Then I started to download Office 365. I have a slow DSL connection, but it started to download OK. So I left it on the desk while I went out for some lunch. When I got back a hour later, the screen was blank and I could not get the start screen to display. After many tries I thought perhaps the battery had run down. Plugged the charger back in, and the light on the power button was blue, indicating a full charge. I tried several times to get the windows start screen to display, but no luck. Perhaps mine was just a lemon, but I'm sending it back for a refund and will find another option.
