Great product for the price

Great product for the price! The screen works perfect with our projector for outdoor movie night. Very happy with the quality.

Used it in a professional setting

Easy to assemble, easy to use. Not easy to transport, but projector screens this large aren't really designed for transport.

Gigantic. I've been using this screen for about a year and half and it's still great for the price. Just treat it gentle. It's fairly light weight and fairly easy to set up for as big as it is. Develop a routine for setting it up.Check out those measurements, rolled up and standing on end it almost touches the ceiling. It's big! Don't expect to use it out doors, it will fall over at the slightest breeze. Hey it's not for outdoors. I got a that triangle shaped one for that. But when you want to watch a movie that 100" this this is great.
I needed this product like yesterday and the delivery made it happen so timely

This makes outdoor presentations on the patio such a small task. Now when I have outdoor events, I do not have to talk to all my guests to get a message across It is ideal to use with my Epson VS230, SVGA, 2800 Lumens Color Brightness (color light output), 2800 Lumens White Brightness, 3LCD Projector. Getting messages across has been simplified. I needed this product like yesterday and the delivery made it happen so timely.

... off by saying this screen is a load of fun for backyard movies
June 21, 2017
Let me start off by saying this screen is a load of fun for backyard movies. It's sturdy and comes with stakes and tie-down straps to prevent it from blowing in the wind. My screen arrived with a small defect which I brought up with Visual Apex. Their customer support was very prompt and they sent me a brand new screen! You just do not find customer service like this nowadays and for the money it would be silly not to buy this if you're looking for a very decent outdoor screen. Honestly, this thing will probably last forever if properly cared for. So glad I went with this model over some of the more expensive brands. You won't be disappointed.
Love this screen!
August 28, 2016
This was an excellent purchase. I bought it to replace an inflatable outdoor screen and i definitely prefer this screen to that one. The biggest reason is that it does not need to be tethered to a power cord. It is lightweight and was easy to put up. You can also detach the legs and just hang the screen from wherever you feel like watching a movie. I definitely plan on using it inside the house when outdoor movie season is over! The screen itself provides an excellent viewing surface. I am very happy with this purchase.
Versatile, great quality, easy to use
March 11, 2016
I've only put it up and down twice so far but it's truly amazing. I did a lot of research on which one is the best. I guess I can't swear which is best for YOU but for me, this is very portable. Easy to put up and take down. Yes, due to the size of it, having a second person is pretty much necessary but not because it's hard or too heavy - Just because of size. (We are 2 girls that put this up and down with no problem) We had a Super Bowl party and projected the game on this outside... You just haven't watched the game better than this unless you were there in person! We've watched a few movies on it indoor. It's great for that too. Don't kid yourself about getting a bigger one. Seriously, 120" is HUGE. I thought about the 144" and so glad I didn't. I literally wouldn't have been able to use it inside my house lol. See photo. It was within 2" of my ceiling.
HUGE!
December 16, 2015
This is a great screen, we set this up for the entire summer. The neighborhood loved it, we started a fun summer tradition. It is easily portable even with it set up. We found it just barely fits through a standard door height, so we didn't bother to take it down all summer, just moved it in and out of the house for different uses. The screen pulls tight and snaps onto the collapsible frame. There is a crease in the screen when it is all set up, but when a movie is playing we didn't notice it. I didn't try to get the crease out, it really isn't noticeable and I didn't want to risk damaging anything. This also comes with stakes and rope to secure the screen, we had this set during some windy nights this summer and it did fine. One other plus for me is that this is a white screen. The other one we were looking at was a light gray.We couldn't be happier with this.
This is a GREAT screen!

Got one, LOVE IT! Easy set up, easy take down. Some reviews talk about the cheap case, or that it's hard to snap the screen in place. The case is fine. It's not luggage, so if you're expecting something bullet proof, this isn't it. But it's of good quality and everything fits well. The screen itself is simple to set up, and it comes down just as easy. The snaps seem to be high quality, and there is nothing about this screen that I don't like or think is cheap or lower quality. I set this up with the back to the sun for a while and by the time I was ready to use it when it got dark, the creases were all gone or invisible when watching a movie. The picture was great. I have the 120" screen and it's perfect for our application. Great screen!
Best value, Easiest to use large screen I've ever seen.
July 16, 2014
I was looking for a large screen for my backyard but I didn't want one that took two people to set up. I also wanted one that was EASY to set up and take down. To be honest, if it was a pain to take down, I would just leave it up all the time- and the hot Los Angeles sun will quickly just destroy anything made of plastic that you leave outside. This was it. This screen set up in 10 minutes without reading the instructions. It was up for four days and it took the same amount of time to put it back in it's case.Screen Material:The gain on the screen material was great for my backyard theater- much better than the 20' white poly tarp / bungee / frame set up I had used before. The screen initially had wrinkles from being packaged that vanished after a few minutes of being attached to the frame. The screen snapped in to the frame easily and with much less effort than I had expected. The metal snaps are sturdy but were well matched. None came off until there were taken off.Frame:This hinged frame is made of Lightweight extruded aluminum. It just unfolds in to the proper shape. I used sandbags to support it on my paver patio but without a breeze there really wasn't a need. I wouldn't take this someplace that was really windy unless I used the guy lines and stakes (that were included in the package!) to really secure it. Even so, really good winds might bend the frame. I did mention it was lightweight, yet? That is a feature and not a bug as far as I'm concerned. :)Storage:The Storage bag is great. Everything fit back in to it easily (unlike some cases that feel like trying to stuff a cheap tent back in to it's bag).Accessories:This came with beefy stakes and plenty of cord to secure the frame to the ground. It also included two screw-in eyes (as in eye-bolts) to allow for the frame to be secured OR to allow the frame to be hung on another form of support like a ceiling, crossbeam or even a line strung between two points. They really thought this out. I am impressed.I've had this for a week and I love this screen.

Had wrinkles at the top.
January 10, 2017
The screen works well, and gives a great picture even with my cheap projector. The only issue I have is the rippling at the top. You won't notice it if you're watching a bright scene with bold colors, but once you get to a dark scene they're pretty noticeable. It started rippling after about 2 weeks. I don't move it around much, it's been in the same spot for a month now, so I can't explain what caused it. I will try to steam the wrinkles down and see if that helps. I only took off one star for that because for the price you can't beat what you get. Sellers on amazon are selling just the fabric for this price. To have this large of a screen with an included stand is a great deal. The stand is very adjustable, I only have a 6.5 ft ceiling in my basement and I can adjust the stand to fit perfectly. The clamps they use are tough to get out, and I've pinched myself pretty hard on them, so fair warning to all if you to be careful. Wish they would use the pin system other stands have.So overall, this is a great indoor projector. It'll adjust to you ceiling height, and has been up in my house for a month straight. The price is a bargain for what you get, and it's only a two-step process to take it down. I love my stand, and it doesn't look or feel cheap at all. Definitely a great buy

Great value for the money. I don't know how long it will last, but so far so good!
HUGE! Tends to lean a little though...
May 13, 2015
HUGE! I love it! The only downside....Its like everyone pointed out so far...It does lean to the right and isn't quite level with the ground. My fix...folded paper between the tripod leg area to "rebalance". Works for what it is and its a great price!
Affordable screen with good image quality
March 31, 2015
First, even this 100" projector screen is quite large as others have described. The box it came in would not even stand up straight in a 8' ceiling room due to how long the package is. Unpacking and assembling the screen took less than 15 minutes. I attemted to follow the included assembly instruction with only about 50% success, despite being an engineer :) Thankfully, it was not difficult to figure out after analyzing the limited anchor points few times over.Screen surface quality: Does not have the hot-zone issue that I was concerned with, as I did lot of reading about "gain". This screen has a gain of 1.3, which is right within the typical "1.0 - 1.3" range for causual setup. Please note while a grey screen of high contrast/low-gain (less than 1.0) would have meant better black in dark scenes, this is still within the normal range of white screens. In addition, the white screen and higher gain does help make the screen brighter, which can be a factor if one uses projector in both eco-lamp mode (to extended lamp life), and Cinema (movie) mode, which tends to have lower lighting to help with higher contrast and dark scenes in movies. For reference, I am using a Panasonic PT-AE4000U, in Cinema 1 setting and Eco-Mode. Viewing angle is also extremely good. I can stand near the screen, while being easily few feet to either side of screen, and not noticing any drop in brightness (as one would expect from a high gain screen). Sitting on a two-person love seat from merely 9 feet away from screen, as well as even on the couches/rocking chair further four feet from either side of couch, all have excellent viewing experience. (I have been using Panasonic projectors for over ten years, starting with PT-AE900U).Tripod stabilty: The Tripod, while made of just sheet metal, is not heavy duty. It also have a little give and take laterally. However, this does not mean the tripod base is unstable. I have never had any issue with the screen sway or fallen since set it up and leave it up a week ago. Overall I would say the tripod is stable and safe (I have multiple pets in the house)Screen height adjustment: As others have described the hight range adjustment is extremely good, with easily 2' of range. I would like to point out however, those who prefer the screen as low as possible (I normally align projector screen's lower edge to almost touching the floor, so that my eyes is aligned near the center height of screen in sitting position, for ergnomics) will find the projector tripod will result minimum 2' of height clearance below the lower edge screen. At the lowest position, it was about 28" measured from floor to the bottom of screen. However, this is not against this particular screen, as all tripod projector would have the same limitation. I am just listing it for reference.Weight: The full screen assembled is not heavy and can be moved around with ease. I believe any adult should have no issue lifting the screen with ease if required.Screen alignment: This is the reason for product receiving only 4 instead of five stars. Basically, the screen after assemble does not align perfectly from a horizontal stand point. What this means is bottom left corner of the screen is approximately 1-2" lower than the right bottom corner of the screen. This results the projected image unable to fit perfectly on the screen if one were trying to take advantage of the full screen area. Now, I knew this before purchasing the product from other reviews, so it was not a surprise. However, I personally felt while this does reflect lack of precision in product manufacturing, assembly or Q/A testing (it's not that difficlut to verify Center of Gravity, or CG), I do not think this is a glaring issue. For one. this is a $50 projector, not a $500 Draper. For two, while the product could potentially be designed to allow some adjustment of CG, such as allow the upper hanging wire to be adjustable, this could have affected the stabilty of the mount, and result potential injuries. For three, this can be mitigated by placing some thing, such as box under the edge corner that's lower to the ground. By literally using an empty diaper box, with a plastic overhang on top, and a piece of packing foam the projector screen came with, I was able to get both side within 1/4" (more like 1/8").In summary, I would say for a $50 screen, this is extremely good for the value. While one can nitpick on imperfections, it doesn't change the fact you won't be able to find a 16:9 screen of this size anywhere else for cheaper (I tried for 2 days). I would recommend this as a good buy for those who are starting home theater for the first time, and either can't, or don't want to use a wall-mount. I personally like the flexbilty of the tripod screen as it allows me to potentially move the screen to another floor of the house if needed.Hope this review helps with your selection. Sorry for the long winded review, but I like to be thorough :)
Great Value but not perfect
December 9, 2014
Great for the value. I mean you cannot beat a $80 (shipped) 16x9 100" projector screen. Period. The reason I did not give 5 stars are:1) Flimsy - This does not sit straight. It takes some time to angle and twist to make this stay straight. Once its done its done. But I plan on moving from outdoors to basement, so I know I will have to go through this process each time. While I would expect a $200 screen to be nice and solid, I cannot fault this too much at much less price.2) Manual - The manual is a joke., I know it's from China. But you'd think they could hire a 12 year old native English speaker to proof read this. A completely non-technical person may have a problem setting this up with the poor directions. But overall this is a solid screen for a great price. Recommended.

So far its been a great screen, very easy to setup
March 22, 2017
So far its been a great screen, very easy to setup, looks great, the only issue I take with it is not being able to adjust the height, unlike many other fast fold screens there is no way to move the screen up or down a few inches. Would also be nice if a rear projection screen option was available. Still a great screen for a great price.
This is a great screen and easy to assemble
January 5, 2017
This is a great screen and easy to assemble. It snaps onto the frame and believe me the screen does not that elastic. This is a good thing so that your screen doesn't loosen but a bit a hassle if you don't have it setup permanently. It can get hard to snap together because you need to pull it taut, can be murder on your thumbs. We have setup this screen about 6 times now and it's still as hard to snap, which is a good thing since you don't want it loose but be prepared for it to make your thumbs sore. We got the 120" and it's a great picture size perfect for outdoors!
A bargain with a limitation.
May 5, 2016
It's a bargain screen for the cost, easy to assemble and good quality screen material and frame. It's a 4 star over 5 because of 2 reasons. 1). The legs are short and can not be raised any higher. If you use this at events, the front roll people will block everyone behind them and it will be a major problem. 2). I called the manufacture and left a message about my concerns and asked it they have leg extensions but did not get a call back. I looked on their website to see if they sell leg extensions but did to see that.My solution: What I did at my event, I put the screen on two 4' tables vertically just under the legs only, another event I used 2 six long tables under/parallel to the screen. The part of the leg that touches the ground is only about 30" deep. My solution raised the screen by 30" which increased it about five feet high. Now I just need to ask the banquet hall provide them in advance. This screen is designed for home as their video shows.
Disappointingly construction, but excellent customer service.
July 2, 2015
I originally gave it 2 stars. Read all the way through to see why I changed it to 4. I really like the frame. It's sturdy and easy to set up. However, the leg inserts are dificult to slide in and out because of long screws that hold the snaps to the frame. Once the screw carved a shallow groove into the aluminum of the leg it worked better. The snaps make it easy to attach the screen tightly to the frame, but unsnapping is a nightmare. Several snaps resist being unsnapped. The screen feels like it's just going to tear away from the snaps. And after using it four times, two snaps actually 'snapped'. The metal actually tore, disassembling the snaps. It may be fine if you were to assemble the screen once and never take it down, but it cannot handle even a few set-up/take-downs. Very disappointing.Update: After contacting the manufacturer about my problems, they have impressed me. They were very helpful and immediately sent replacement parts. I'm not talking about a couple of new snaps, they sent a new frame, new screen and some leg adapters to avoid the poor fit.The screen really is nice, and with such good service, it's well worth the money.
Only one small complaint - flimsy zipper
December 1, 2014
We received our 144" screen on Wednesday and I tried putting it up for the first time today (just to make sure everything was working). It was super easy to put together and seems to be built very solidly. As others have noted, there is a significant horizontal crease in the screen where it folds in half, so I'll update this review once I try the suggestion posted by "Happy Amazon Customer".I would have given the product five stars if not for the cheap zipper on the case. The zipper is quite small for such a big package and the teeth were split on one side. I didn't notice this and so when I ran the zipper over that split part, the zipper dethreaded from the teeth. Sigh. I called Visual Apex customer support offering to send them the faulty case, which is very small and light, but they said because the order went through Amazon my only option was to send the ENTIRE thing back and get a new one. I've been waiting since August for this thing (it was backordered) and it sure feels like a waste to send it back just for a damn zipper, which is so flimsy I won't be surprised if it breaks in another place soon. So my wife took mercy on me and has offered to replace the zipper with a more heavy duty version.Visual Apex, if you're reading this, here's a great place for you to improve - please improve the quality of the zipper on that case so it's a little more heavy duty. I'd have been happy to pay a few bucks extra to have a better quality zipper.
Great outdoor screen
February 18, 2014
I bought an HD projector and this to go along with it. I used it for the Super Bowl as I had a party and it worked very well. It is definitely easier to put together with two people (you really have to pull the material tight to snap it in place), but then it only takes about 10 minutes to get it all set up. It is also very easy (one man job) to take it apart and fits very easily back into the bag it comes in, even without folding the screen perfectly. Also, no tools are needed as everything slides or hinges into place. The only reason I marked it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the screws/bolts used in it do rust. So, if you hose it off, or leave it out during a rain, they will rust. I'd recommend spraying a little WD-40 on it when you first set it up to help avoid this -- or, if it does get wet, make sure to dry it completely quickly (and before you put it back in its bag). There are creases in the screen material since it is folded, so if this worries you, make sure you set it up several hours before you plan to use it (and put in direct sunlight if possible) -- Others mentioned using a hair dryer to get the creases out, which I'm sure works well. Either way, I set it up 10 minutes before the game and could not see any of the creases, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Good screen but hangs unevenly
December 17, 2015
The quality of the screen is good, but when I hang the screen from the tripod, it is unbalanced - leans to one side. I have to hang something off the end of the screen to balance it.
Screen was nice and free from splotches or defects
November 22, 2015
Screen was nice and free from splotches or defects. It is easy to set-up or tear-down and stores easily in our coat closet (although we have 9' ceilings). This would be difficult to store vertically in a smaller room and may have to slide under a bed for storage instead. The screen pulled away from the top bar in the upper left after a few uses causing a slight ripple in the screen on the left side. It is not noticeable unless someone walks past during a movie causing the screen to move a little from the breeze. We have gotten a lot out of it so far and it seems to work as advertised. I've only used it indoors so I cannot comment on outdoor use.
The product smell strongly bad.

Grament holes tearing
August 23, 2017
I've had mine for about a year and used it less than a dozen. When putting up the screen last weekend, I noticed that some of the grament holes are tearing. I keep it in the bag and the original box it came with. It's a great screen, but wish the grament holes are more durable.
as said wish the construction was better.
November 10, 2016
Just OK. Left it up for one night and after a night of light wind, came out to find both the legs, below where they attach with the screw in knob, were snapped, Litterally the metal broke in half. I was using sandbags to secure the feet of the screen. I emailed Visual Apex, but instead of replacing them for free (which I feel they should have done as the metal was that weak) they offered for me to buy the legs costing approximately 1/3 of the price of the screen. The screen itself performed flawlessly and worked well. However, as said wish the construction was better.
Great screen, cheap stand!
May 30, 2016
I loved the screen, but the stand was cheaply made. I had it up in an open space for about 2 hours in approximately 8 mph wind and it crumbled. It broke the stand and I can't find a replacement for it. It appears I must repurchase the entire kit (stand & screen).
I would recommend this screen to anyone who is on a budget
March 8, 2016
I bought this screen on June 2015. Since I bought this screen I have used it 7 times to watch UFC fights. If you are looking for a big screen at a bargain price this is the one to buy. I looked around and wanted to buy something reasonable in price since I wasnt going to be using it often.Somethings to consider when buying this screen. I keep this screen stored in its case in my garage and it gets cold so when ever I have to snap that screen onto the frame it is very hard to do and i had damaged it in trying to snap it onto frame the ribbets came off and my fingers hurt for days. Luckily, the customer service people were helpful and sent me a replacement screen at no cost. Second, if you dont have dirt in your backyard you have to make sure you tie this screen down to something because if you dont the frame will bend if it is windy. i have pavers in my backyard so what I did was place weight plates at base but it did not help. So now, i have to buy another frame for $59.99 as a replacement. This screen serves it purpose but it is a little hard to work with because of the snaps you have to snap for screen. I would recommend this screen to anyone who is on a budget.
I like the screen
December 7, 2015
I like the screen, but it's not perfect. It's a real struggle to get the screen to snap into place. Each snap takes a fair amount of effort. I think it's designed this way to limit wrinkle in the screen. It forces you to really stretch each time. That's understandable, but it seems there should be an easier way to manage this.It also came damaged. I was tempted to return it, but due to it's size I decided to just keep it. One of the legs wouldn't fit without getting pliers to bend the metal.Once the screen is up and in place, it works great. The viewing area is large and the images look great on the screen.
Good except one side of screen where leg inserts.
February 14, 2015
Works well but one side of screen is extremely tight in fitting leg. Have to hammer it in and out with soft mallet. Other side slides right in and out. Tried lubricating spray, etc, but it is just very tight. Screen works fine. The anchors are a nice touch for outdoor wind.

Excellent, but my only complaint
June 15, 2016
Excellent, but my only complaint, is that the screen (despite being up for awhile now) doesn't allow for the bottom snaps to be fastened, so the bottom portion of the screen isn't attached.
it was easy to button the screen up
January 5, 2016
So the screen arrived, and we tested it out in the living room and all worked well. It wasn't hard to attach the screen to the bezel, it was easy to button the screen up. The next weekend, we took the screen out and tried watching a movie in the backyard, but the screen would not attach to the bezel. We literally had to have three of us hold the stand in place, and two PULL the screen with all our force to snap it in place against the bezel. On top of that, the strap ripped. Again, this was only the second time using it. It was a chilly night, and my initial hunch was that the cold weather shrunk the screen and would not allow it to stretch properly. If that is the case, beware using it in colder conditions as we strained quite a bit just attaching it. We will be returning it and getting our money back.
Bag falls apart as soon as you open the box
July 1, 2015
Received the screen today 7/1/2015Open the box and the bag is ripped down the side at the zipper. Haven't opened the bag yet. So far I'm not a happy person. I guess this is what you pay for. If it's worse I will send it back. I took a picture of the bag if I can figure out how to attach a picture I will. Maybe visual apex should read the reviews
Works nice once setup, way overpriced for quality and assembly nearly impossible from poor quality.
June 20, 2015
Let me just start off by saying I have a heavy mechanical background, repairing nearly anything with an engine that burns gas. Putting a movie screen together should be a cinch just like it was in the youtube video. My first comment is on the storage bag which is very thin and poor quality. The zipper feels like it will break with 5-6 uses. Next, the black plastic cover for the screen, the seam ripped when trying to unsnap it.Assembling the screen. The quality of the components seems good and assembly should be a piece of cake. However, putting the legs in the bottom of this thing was a disaster. First of all they only go one way, which way is not clear and not noted in instructions. Second, the legs literally would not even go in. On one side, the screw that holds the snap in sticks through and keeps the leg from going in all the way. After filing down and messing with it I finally got it to slide in. On the other side, it didn't matter what I did, filing, chamfering, try and try again for 30 minutes it wouldn't go in. Finally I just got a mallet and smacked it about 20 times to get it to go in.Once set up the screen was great. The rope securing the screen against wind could be a little better quality, perhaps black with loops or clips on the end so you're not just tying knots with it. It's just two plain pieces of bright white rope that are distracting from the screen. It's a screen, it works great once installed. It's not worth half the money I paid for it as far as quality. I could buy a much better quality tent for that money which is more complicated than this thing. I'm not sure why it gets almost 5 star rating, either people are easily satisfied, fake ratings, or I just had incredibly bad luck.
Scared of its durability
May 18, 2015
This screen (144") is very big. The frame is solid. (the height is fixed, but at this price point you shouldn't expect that versatility. The carrying case is good. How ever the screen mat is stretchy and it is difficult to get the snaps to unsnap. I was scared that the snaps would rip right through the mat. Taking it apart once was sketchy, if I were going to leave this up at one location then this would be fine. BUT if I were, (as I intend to do) to put it up and take it down a lot I don't think it would hold up very long at all.I immediately sent this screen back. Visual Apex was super and sent a return ship label and refunded my $$.I bought one that would stand up to more abuse/use.
Looks good, but made with lightweight aluminum and poor quality parts.

Two of the snaps broke while setting it up. Once I set it up and put in the stakes, a light breeze came up and bent the aluminum. The stakes also bent very easily. They sacrificed strength in favor of a light weight setup. I will be purchasing a different brand.

I am very dissatisfied.
August 5, 2017
When opened we had two bend parts from shipping. We decided to still try it. The first night after using the top bar that hold the screen to the top hook of the stand broke off. I am very dissatisfied. I gave it two stars because it does work if duct taped. I am so sad. It was a gift for my husband for Father's Day

This is the most cumbersome flimsy screen I have ever used. It was difficult to use so I returned it for a refund....less shipping. Not even free return shipping.

The legs bend. They were secured small gust of wind and they bent and snapped. Not meant for outdoors.
Flimsy and already tearing
February 29, 2016
The screen is already tearing and I have only used it twice. We bought this to use during business presentations. In my opinion this screen is not very durable and is not made to be moved. Will be returning.
defective

So the legs do not slide into the frame, defective I am sending it back, disappointing because we're having a party this weekend and I told everyone we would have an outside movie.
Don't put a sandbag on the legs!
May 23, 2015
I put a sandbag on the legs because screen was positioned on a pool patio legs bent and snapped clean off in a gust of wind. It is not repairable! Poor design! Should be inforced more in framing for the fold out legs. Not sure how to get replacement legs?
DO NOT BUY!!!
May 3, 2015
This was purchased for outdoor family use. A button broke off the screen corner right out of the carrying case making the corner only usable via tape. Also, when it was placed back in the carrying case, the case ripped all along the zipper. I am returning this and ordering a better brand. Disappointed no less.
buyer beware
