Got it for my mom who always likes to go to fabric stores and ends up measuring the kids to make them outfits lol. After getting it I almost kept it for myself because its small neat item to keep in hand or store in desk whenever you need it. Great quality, slim and pocket sized. Readable measurements. It really is a must have, you never know when you may need it!

This is certainly not 'the best' tape measuring item on Amazon; but it's really perfect for the times when you need a 'non metal' tape to measure for gloves and clothing. The problem with most of the fabric style tape measures are that they often don't use the retraction of a tool type heavy duty tape measure. This item was under $6.00 and it will definitely come in handy and not wind up tangled up somewhere.

If you're in the fashion industry and whether you're manufacturing or designing clothing, this tape measure is an absolute must have. It is of a high quality, and after much use, the tape does not wear and it's still going strong. It is very small and pocket sized, and it's very light as well. It has inches on one side and centimeters on the other. It's great, since most manufacturers from other countries (we work with a few) will use CMs instead of inches. Great for measuring the body and fabrics.

I wanted to have a tape measure around since I never seem to have one when I'm trying to measure my body dimensions while buying clothes online. This is perfect for that purpose. It's nice quality plastic, not cloth, and has a button to pull the tape back in. It has a little gap in the side where you can hook it onto something if you need to hang it, love that about it. Most of all, the price is great! This is the perfect measure for many different things.

I don't really like to shop for clothes in the store, so being able to measure myself is important in getting clothes that fit (and avoiding the hassle of shipping ones that don't fit back). I have always used cheapie plastic tailor tape measures that always seem to end up in a knot. After misplacing my last tape I decided to "upgrade" (if you can call spending $4 instead of $2 an upgrade). This is the best clothing tape measure I have ever owned! No more having to untangle a long tailor's tape measure when I want to check a measurement. Best of all when I eventually misplace it (which is an inevitability), buying a replacement won't break the bank!

I've had this for about a year. I bought it so that I could keep track of my body measurements to see if my workout routine was doing anything. The tape measure is good quality and the auto retract feature is very convenient. The end tap folds down so that you can't pull on it by accident if you are carrying it around in a purse. I have no complaints about this product.

I kept losing my measuring tapes and my kids were snatching my rulers as fast as OfficeDepot could stock them. So I finally gave in and ordered 12 tape measures, in bulk. I use them for measuring knitting. They are basic and functional. No problems with them!

Perfect pack for someone like me. I didn't actually need this many but my problem is that I lose EVERYTHING. This is actually the 2nd time I ordered these because I lost all the others. There's nothing special or unique about these tapes but this package is a great price for what you get, and the different colors are fun and useful. All in all, a great buy.

I ordered these tape measures to put in Operation Christmas Child boxes, and they are perfect! They appear to be well made, and the bright colors are a plus. Where ever they end up, the girls who receive them will love them.

WOW can't believe the price. These cost at least 1$ each in stores, so to get 12 of them for that price, is amazing. IT took a few weeks, and these are narrow, maybe 3/8 inch vs 1/2 like normally, but who cares, they still work and still measure. Great price, great product.

What can I say, they are measuring tapes. This is a good deal and it's always nice to have these around. I also use the to teach my kids how to measure since a retractable tape has sharp edges.

The smooth white surface is slippery. Very slippery.The tape itself works well.

This measuring tape is like my wallet. I find myself using it everywhere because it's convenient to measure with at home or when I want to look at furniture. The only thing about this is the gap of space everyone is talking about in the beginning when you pull it out--not that big of a bother to me since I prefer to see the 0 line I am measuring from. The color is also very neutral.

This tape measure is compact, light, soft and flexible. It has inches and millimeters on alternate sides. The tape material, while soft, could still be a little better quality, though I have had no problem with mine so far. I don't like that the measure does not start at the end of the tape. Instead it starts about an inch in. Overall though it is a good item and a fair price.

More color choices would be nice.That Said: This is still a nicely functioning nifty little tape measure for personal use. Would not recommend for commercial or high frequency rugged use since the case is all plastic and can crack easily.This tape measure is light weight, measures exactly 2" square and 1/2" thick. When you pull the tape out it locks in place and with a simple press of a button it retracts perfectly back inside. The tape itself is 1/2" wide - one side measures in Inches and the opposite side measures in Centimeters with large easy to read markings.NOT SO ATTRACTIVE BUT FUNCTIONS VERY WELL.BOTTOM LINE: A NIFTY, DECENT QUALITY, WELL FUNCTIONING, MULTIPURPOSE, HANDY DANDY LITTLE TAPE MEASURE.

I work as a custom picture framer. When we'd measure a customers art we'd use just a regular old measuring tape you'd find in your dad's tool box. The problem with those is that they have a metal catch on the tip and in order to not accidentally scratch photos and art brought to us we'd start our measuring at the one mark and subtract an inch since we did not start at zero. The problem with this is if we were swamped wed forget to subtract that inch and we'd order frames that were cut too big. I bought this tape measure mainly because the zero does not start at the tip. Its perfect! I pull out the length I need, line up the zero mark with the edge of the item and take my measurement without fear of scratching something. It's just as accurate as our other tapes. Would definitely buy again.

It's 60 inches in case anyone was wondering, I couldn't find that anywhere before I ordered it. I'm a little concerned the spring used in retracting the tape could wear out quickly as it's got a fairly weak, jerky action, but it still works so far.

These were just as expected. Terrific bargain, worth the price. I would order again.

Good product for a low price. Needed multiple tape measures for a science class and these were much less expensive than anywhere else. The quality is good for such a low price. Could not find anything near quality for this price locally.

Arrived as expected. Would have rated 5 stars, but the metal ends on two of the tapes have already fallen off. That said, I actually prefer to use the ones that lost the metal because they are easier to use. These apparently shipped from China, but they arrived with the rest of my prime order.

i am happy these finally came, for some reason i was expecting them to be a bit wider, I also wish you had purple and a dark green, but these are beautiful colors and will work great for my project

Now I see why these are titled "Dieting Measuring Ruler Tape"...Since an inch as marked on these tapes is ACTUALLY about an inch and a quarter, a dieting person with a 50" midriff could instantly measure only 40 inches around, just by using these tapes. So, you know ... BRING ON THE CHEESECAKE!POOF! 10 inches gone, JUST LIKE MAGIC!!

I was happily surprised that it got to me so quickly (I think I only waited maybe a week or two before it got here). It's pretty much what I expected. A large number of cheap plastic tape measures for a cheap price.

Works well. I wish it were longer

Bought two. One broke almost immediately. The piece on the end broke off and tape retracted inside the case. Very disappointing. The other one still works and we like it very much for accurate body measurements for dieting. 50% success.

I thought I lost the Hoechstmass brand retractable tape measure I've used and loved for years, and this was a quick replacement purpose (because I didn't remember the brand name of the one I lost).Definitely inferior quality - just doesn't feel as well made; feels like the retraction mechanism might not hold up over the long run.For the price, I guess it's ok.

Looks like this current model has a better design. When I bought an earlier model it had an easy method for connecting to a keychain as there was an exposed open corner with a loop for said purpose. I liked the portability but it broke so now it is at home with other measuring tools. I really wanted to have an easy way of carrying a measuring device on my keychain.

The tape is good since it has both Inches and metric measurement. However, mine is hard to rewind, so I have to try different angles and push several times for it to retract.

Nice product but not as sturdy as the Fons&Porter one. The tape seems a little thin. Works great otherwise. It has inches and centimeters.

Metal tips fall off almost instantly

You get what you pay for. The metal ends came off of one of them the first time I picked it up...but they seem to be accurate, they measure things...and now I can afford to lose some as I always seem to do!

this was a great price for the quality. They are not great quality, but they are not poor quality. They were great for my purpose.

I was very disappointed in the shipping. I ordered these for my daughter's party. I knew they might come a couple of days late but they ended up coming VERY late. I never even got to take them around to the girls who came to her party to add to their sewing kits because they were so late coming. Very disappointed.The quality was good but it didn't do a lot of good to have them when they didn't arrive as stated.

They are more cheaply made than I originally thought they would be, but I guess you get what you pay for. Because of the plastic material they are made of, the can stretch easily.

Why is there blank space between the end of the tape and the start of the measurements? Not sure what the idea was behind that, but it makes it hard to use, or harder than it needs to be.

Doesn't start zero, where it should, All the tapes that I have seen in my entire life start the zero at the tip to make it easy to measure.There in the picture you can see it if you look closely, this one simply doesn't.On top of that it appears to be quite expensive here - these tapes should be $5 or less.

Cheap... but it works

These are standard tape measures (flexible fabric as advertised) but shipping took over 6 weeks. I was really unimpressed.

You get what you pay for... not good print - flimsy .....

I sell ACE Appetite Control Energy supplements and I thought these would make a nice gift to include with my customers' orders to help them track the inches they lose. The problem is the horrible, chemical-type stench! They REEK. I hate to send them out as the whole package will smell when my customer opens it!! The colors are vibrant and the price was great, but the smell is not worth it.

Poor Quality, Made overseas ... not sure if they are accurate or not - but close enough for government work ...

I wish the product specifications had listed that it has a Prop. 65 warning.

This is a flexible fiberglass tape measure (says so right on the tape) and after having it only a few months, and using it maybe 5 times, it started *giving me splinters every single time I used it*. It took me several times to realize what was happening, but every time I touched the edge of the tape to measure something, I'd end up with a fiberglass splinter in my finger. Sadly, this had to go in the trash.I ended up purchasing a flexible polyester tape measure from my local yarn store (a German-made Hoechstmass "Rollfix" that I read about in another review for this tape measure) for the same price as this Clover one, and it's much better and no splinters!I love every other item from Clover that I own. Their products are well thought out and simple to use. But this tape measure is the exception for me.

The button that retracts the tape doesn't always work and the design of the button is poorly made.I tried to return it for one that hopefully worked properly, but was told it can't be returned.

This is such a terrible tape measure. It doesn't start at zero at the end the way every other tape measure I've ever seen in my life does, so there's this extra inch a half of space you have to carefully allow for when measuring, which is actually pretty difficult. The worst part is that I didn't notice for the first several months of owning this, so all of my measurements from that time period are wrong.

I was looking for a tiny purse size measuring tape, as mine broke. I should have looked at the case measurements instead of judging by the picture because it is too large for the tiny pocket in my purse. Totally my fault, but it turned out to be a 'CAN'T BE RETURNED' item. For $4.75, no big deal, I just have no use for it. I'm just giving a heads up to others it can't be returned, so be sure it's exactly what you want, or have someone you can pass it on to.

This tape measure is made of fiberglass material and is not suitable for use measuring hips, waist and neck.When I tried to return this item, I was told that it cannot be returned.

Cheaply made. Poor product from China. Would be OK for a toy sewing kit for a little girl who does not need to measure accurately. WARNING!!! The metal tabs on the ends comes off very easily and could be a choking hazard for a small child that puts everything in their mouth.

These are total junk. The only marks on this tape that are correct are the metric side. 16 inches on this tape is 21 inches. Unusable so don't waste your time buying. We ruined a curtain because the sides were brought in too much when we measured a 1 inch seam. 1 inch is approximately 1 5/16ths inches. These should be taken off the market.

The measurements aren't accurate AT ALL. One inch is more like an inch and a half.Also, it took over 6 weeks to arrive.

This tape is not in american sizing... when you measure your waistline make sure you go down 3 sizes... Also this comes from china...

These are inaccurate, one inch on these is REALLY about one and a quarter inches. These tape measures are really useless!

WARNING: inches measures are not accurate. I was surprised why my item measure shorter by 2 inches than before! then I compared the inches measures with different tape and a ruler and surprising it was all greater by 2 units. The quality of the tapes are good and the cm measures are right but not the inches!!!!!!!!!!!
