Great folding wheelchair
July 22, 2017
Very sturdy and folds down to a convenient size for placing in the trunk. It's a must-have if you care for someone with ambulatory difficulties. Get a nice memory-foam cushion for it. My grandfather weighs 196 lbs. and fits perfectly.
Convenient, inexpensive and lightweight
April 7, 2017
Great for taking on trips. Folds up easily, weighs only 29 lbs (yep, I weighed it). We used it on airline and cruise ship.Very convenient and it worked perfectly.
Great chair good price
June 13, 2016
Perfect chair for me. I just need it occasionally,I have rheumatoid arthritis and can't wallk long distances, but now I just get in the chair and away we go. Easy to push and maneuver ,Easy to get in elevators easy to open and easy to pack up. What more could you ask for, good price too. Great little chair. Thanks
EXCELLENT TRANSPORT CHAIR FOR ANY AGE!
March 31, 2016
THIS IS DEFINITELY A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE AND ANY AGE. My 80 year old aunt loves this transport chair. This transport chair is very well made and lasts. Easy for me to get her around in. This transport chair has all the safety mecanisum needed for you and your loved one. Very well made and durable! A must have! Quick, easy, fast on delivery, packaging was perfectly done. We will definitely be using g this seller for future medical equipment for years to come! Thank you DRIVE MEDICAL.! My great aunt t hasn't been able to be in a large department store in years due to degenerative disk disease, arthritis in her hips and knees. She stays in pain, but this chair , is as my aunt described, as like sitting in her lay z boy! THANK YOU AGAIN : )-
So much easier than a traditional wheelchair.
January 19, 2016
Elderly relative requires frequent doctor's appointments and this has been a game changer for the whole family. So much easier than a traditional heavy wheelchair, both to push around, and to get him in and out of the chair.
What DRIVEs my Mom
September 25, 2013
So my Mom was visiting us here in Chicago. She had done knee surgery and though can't be called disabled remotely- she can't walk for long period of time. So we purchased it primarily to use it for navigating museums, parks etc. But boy, what didn't we use it for? It is so easy to carry, so easy to transport and so easy to fold/unfold- we used it at1)airports2)zoos3)rough roads in national parks4)museums5)parks6)wherever we CAN.This would also speed up your journey as the disabled person would not need to make any effort to move. The product is sturdy, wheels are smooth and the material looks like it would last quite a while. So I would absolutely recommend this product to anybody.

Now I can sit on the wheelchair for many more hours.
September 30, 2017
Nice and comfortable cushion for a heavy guy like me (200 lbs). Now I can sit on the wheelchair for many hours at the office; i'm using it for 12 hours a day. Stays firmly on the wheelchair and I don't feel like it may slip. It's made of pure high density foam, so NO gel leaks.
Very nice product!!
September 22, 2017
I found that the arms on most transport chairs are too high for comfort. I ordered this and it is perfect. Comfortable, very nice cover that stays on very well, yet is easy to remove to clean. Very pleased!
Comforatable but may seat your self to high to reach the floor.
September 12, 2017
Very comfortable. But don't buy it unless you know that your wheelchair bound family member can still reach the floor with at least on leg.
Nice cushion!
August 23, 2017
My granddad needed a cushion and this one worked great for him while he needed it! After he was done with it, my mom used it on her computer chair and also enjoyed it.

This is a very good cushion for your wheelchair when it is not in my wheelchair it is in my recliner chair because it is very comfortable.

A Real Value
June 10, 2017
Came just about ready to use. Had a problem with right handle not clicking in, but saw in faq how to lengthen the pin. Easy to also lengthen the leg room. Comfortable, easy to collapse. Great for long shopping trips with my husband, who has trouble walking very far. Terrific for the price.

Exactly what I expected! The only problem I had was when someone would push me over a bump it would almost flip me out of the chair.

April 21, 2016
This transport is heavier than our old transport making it nice for a male but more difficult to cross over any size threshold. The old transport went over anything with the front wheels and this one won't. We have to back over the threshold of most outside doors which can be tricky at times. I didn't pay attention to the weight when I ordered and I should have. That said, the transport is well made and does the job.
I didn't think I needed it, but it's proven it's worth.
December 15, 2014
Lightweight but sturdy! This chair is terrific! Great around the house but so convenient to put in the car to go to doctors appointments or to the store. Folds up easier than a stroller. Not awkward or clunky. Feels secure. I've used it every day since having ankle surgery & probably will for many months. Better price on amazon than at medical supply stores in our town. Easy to maneuver. If I were to improve it, I would make the wheels with tread. And the position of the front wheels seem to turn like a wayward shopping cart at times. For long term use, a person may want larger back wheels for independence sake. If you have someone to push you it's perfect. If you're going to go it alone, you'll need things like furniture & doorways to grab onto . I zip around the kitchen, bathroom & on hardwood floors on my own. On carpet...not so much. The locks on wheels hold, & I've even put my knee on the seat and used temporarily as a scooter -- for a short period of time. (I'm 5'3) Worth every penny & more.
this transport wheelchair was better than expected overall but oh so heavy
July 18, 2014
this transport wheelchair was better than expected overall but oh so heavy...I chose this chair because it specified lightweight and it is anything but...its also very narrow but my mom fits into it just fine.. but she herself is not large...I guess the steel makes it a heavy chair and it is also very sturdy..so all in all it is a good purchase..but lightweight?? not so much..
Easy assembly, good value
April 24, 2014
Use in a physician's office to transfer patients short distances after procedures. Has a safety belt if you are interested. I don't find this particularly useful. Seat is a bit narrow for the average Memphian, so don't plan on any people with much greater than normal BMI. Rolls nicely, footrests are solid and rotate out of the way for transfers. Overall, fine wheelchair for indoors and minimal terrain (concrete and asphalt).

March 16, 2016
I like the fact that this cushion fit my wheel chair with ease but I felt like it could have been somewhat more comfortable. I felt like it was comfortable for the first few hours I used it, but after a while it began to hurt. I am not sure if that is the fault of the cushion itself or if it is my extended amount of time using it. I would still repurchase if I needed a cushion again for my wheel chair, but I am giving it 4 stars because it eventually became uncomfortable.
Comfortable and convenient
June 11, 2015
I got this for my mother-in-law and she loves it! We use it with her wheelchair as well as in the car. We took it with us on an international flight and she used it in airplane seat as well. I only didn't give it five stars because it seems like it's already wearing down a little and it's less than two months old. However - even when it wears out and is time to replace, I will buy this same one.
light weights only

This cushion is great for a small person. I weigh 250 lbs and when I tried it out it compressed together. My wife weighs 105 lbs and it is great for her. It was bought for her so it works out okay.

August 23, 2017
Wheel chair is a bit heavier than my previous foldable wheel chair but it is definitely made out of a stronger material. The only thing it that the left foot rest was bent, not sure if it is the way it was manufactured but the two knotches wouldnt go in correctly. The fact that it was also made out of a thicker material it was hard to bend it straight in order to place the foot rest on.

Comfy Chair

Comfortable and easy to handle however the seat is a bit small and you can't roll it on your own. The seat belt is a great feature and the price was fair.
Does the job. Barely
May 23, 2016
Decent transport chair for the money. I wouldn't recommend purchasing one if your loved one is more than 120 pounds. The person I purchased this for weighs 90 pounds and it was a little wobbly at times - especially going over small bumps. This isn't intended as a permanent wheelchair, just a method of getting from Point A to Point B fairly fast. Remember that. If you plan on using it more than transporting, go to a store and have your loved one try it out and purchase there.

December 27, 2015
I bought this for short term use for my daughter after her neurosurgery. Mainly, we needed something to help her get in and out of follow up doc appointments. It is not a smooth ride outdoors, even just going between blacktop parking lots and doctors' offices. It does fine indoors. It may be more suitable for indoor only use but it worked for what we needed. It looks well made but I doubt the wheels would hold up to long term, outdoor use.

there are no grips or straps or anything to hold this in place so it regularly slides back through the gap between the back and seat of the chair. I use those grippy shelf liners to try and help, but it still slides.

Does not handle well over slight door or sidewalk bumps I would not recommend this product
August 23, 2017
This chair is anything but lightweight. I should have figured that as it stated "Steel" construction. Also it rolls well if the front wheels remain completely straight but if the front wheels are not lined up, it is challenging when you have a person in the chair. My dad is 175 lbs and I feel he is too big for the chari. Does not handle well over slight door or sidewalk bumps I would not recommend this product.
Got dumped out of it by hospital staff member
March 2, 2017
I bought this to have for travel use in case venue had no wheelchair and will likely only require this temporarily. I figured I would buy this online rather than wait and hassle with my insurance company. Good that it is foldable. A staff member at a local hospital (not a volunteer) dumped me out of this accidentally. I don't know what happened, as I had gotten in and out myself without any help.It was a good thing I landed on my knees and didn't get hurt, as I was very close to a glass table and could have hit my head on it when this occurred. It can fold and fits in closet. I had it in my home for a while prior to using it, so I think it was past the return date, and it is probably good to have it just in case, and perhaps all the inexpensive, travelers ones are like this? I don't know.
Best for short, slow, indoor rides
January 9, 2017
I really don't like this chair. The ride is very jiggly, even on a smooth surface. You have to go quite slow for the jiggling to stop. I'm 5'8" and the foot rests are too high so my knees are up higher than I'd like (they are not adjustable). It puts too much pressure on my feet. It's probably best suited for short, slow rides indoors and not outdoor use.

December 18, 2015
I ordered the chair because the physical therapist recommended it for outings to the doctor, dentist, hair salon, etc. It is light weight and much easier to use than the standard large/small wheel chairs. The first chair had a malfunction on the folding back handle. So I returned it with no problems. The second chair came with the same malfunction.

Broke Twice in Less Than Six Months - Unable to Get Refund
June 17, 2015
I bought this chair for my 88 year old Dad who has trouble getting around due to a very arthritic knee. The armrest broke off the VERY FIRST TIME we used it! I contacted the company and they sent me a new armrest in the WRONG SIZE. It was too small for the chair we had. I contacted them again and they sent a second armrest. I am not a repair person and I didn't think I should have to repair something I just bought brand new and only used once. However, I thought "maybe it was just a fluke." It seemed trivial and troublesome to send the chair back over this issue, so I installed the second armrest that was sent to us. Before we had the chair for six months, it BROKE AGAIN!!! This time a piece on the right side broke and the right side of the chair collapsed. I'd like to make it clear that we DID NOT abuse this chair! It received normal use and my Dad weights considerably less than the 250 pounds the specifications for the chair says it can handle. This time I decided this thing was defective and I wanted to return it. I tried to return it only to be told that since I'd had it more than 30 days, they WOULD NOT take it back! I have contacted the manufacturer, the vendor and Amazon in good faith trying to get my money back for this hunk of junk to no avail. Tonight is our garbage night. I just put it on the curb with the rest of the garbage. This is one of those cases where if I could give it no stars, I would. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and your money and do not buy this thing.

Provides Good Support - But there are a couple of better ones
August 1, 2014
I am a college student taking classes at Harvard. The chairs in the library don't have cushions or the cushions have gone flat. This makes studying for long periods of time difficult /painful.So instead of going to the library to study, I purchased new chairs, but after a few months the cushions and the chairs had gone flat. This was frustrating and I got tired of purchasing new chairs, so I decided to purchase cushions as a more cost-effective approach to purchasing new chairs.I wanted a cushion that would allow me to study for 14 hours a day. Not knowing which cushions to purchase and not wanting to spend time trying out a bunch of different cushions I decided to try out a dozen or so different cushions, all of which had an average rating above four. I called Amazon to see if they would have a problem with me purchasing a bunch of items and then returning them as well as to make sure that my Amazon prime account would not get canceled.Below is a list of the cushions that I purchased and the experience I had.1.) CONFORMAX Anywhere, Anytime Gel Car/Truck Seat CushionThis was the most comfortable cushion of all of the questions that I tried and the one I would recommend the most. I am able to sit for an entire day without my rear end or back getting sore. I previously had to take two Aleve before using this cushion to be able to sit down and study for an entire day. It has a layer of high density foam and a very thick gel which provides a great deal of support without going flat, even if you are a big guy. I am 6 feet tall and about 210 pounds and even at the end of the day, it is just as soft as when you first sit on the cushion.A couple of other things, this is a large cushion and covers the entire seat which allows you to move around your seats comfortably. The top side of the cushion is a foamy type of cloth, and the bottom side of the cushion has a rubber-ish type of cover to keep it from sliding around on the chair. The only downside is that it is a large cushion that is also kind of heavy, so it is not a cushion that can be carried around or is transportable.2.) CONFORMAX "On the Go" Gel Travel Seat CushionThis was the second most comfortable cushion. I bought the ConforMax "On The Go Gel" cushion because the ConforMax Anywhere cushion was too big to carry around so I got them both. The ConforMax "On The Go" cushion provides the same amount of support as the "ConforMax Anywhere" cushion but is portable due to its smaller size. While it is still too large for me to get inside my backpack, I am able to get it inside my duffel bag/gym bag and take it with me without any difficulty to the computer lab or library. It would also fit inside a large briefcase or a small suitcase. The ConforMax "On The Go" cushion also allows me to sit for up to 14 hours a day at the library without my posterior or my back getting sore. The only down side is that, because it is smaller due to it being portable, it does not cover the chair completely, so you can not move around as much on a chair. If you want a cushion that is portable, this is the best cushion.3.) Nova Ortho Gel Foam Cushion for 18 Inches X 16 Inches Wheelchair, Medium, 3 Inch, BlackAfter the ConforMax cushions, this was the next most comfortable cushion. The Nova Ortho Gel Foam Cushion has a layer of gel encased in a layer of high density foam.During the time that I used it, the cushion did not go flat, and provided a great deal of support. By posterior or back did not get sore and I was able to study for 14 hours a day, only getting up to eat or use the restroom. The cushion really is not portable do to it's size, but I was able to slightly fold it and get it into my duffle bag so I could take it with me to the library /computer lab at the university.Overall, I was really happy with the Nova Ortho Gel Foam Cushion and would highly recommend it Especially for folks on the heavier side since it did not flatten out when I used it. I am giving this product a five star rating. With that said, I ended up returning this item. The reason for that it is, the ConforMax cushions were more comfortable. It should be noted that the ConforMax cushions cost $20 to $25 more than the Nova Ortho Gel Foam Cushion, so if you are on a budget or do not want to spend as much money on the Comformax cushions, this is the next best cushion and the best cushion under $40 that I tried.4.) Drive Medical Deluxe Skin Protection Gel "E" 3" Wheelchair Seat Cushion, Dark Blue, 18" x 16" 3"This cushion also provided good level of support and kept my posterior and back from getting sore. The cushion also did not flatten out during the time that I used it. I was able to hold this cushion, put it in my duffle bag and take it with me to the library, but it should be noted I only used it for two days before I returned it.While the Drive Gel Seat Cushion provided a good level of support, I did not find it comfortable. The reason for that is because the gel is liquidy and moves /slouches around. You get the same type of feeling you get when you sit on a waterbed. I would recommend this product, but with reservations. You are better off with the either of the Comformax cushions ($30 more) and if you are on a budget, the Nova Ortho Gel Foam Cushion ($11 more).5.) WonderGel Extreme Seat CushionI tried three different Wondergel cushions, and they all work, but not as well as I would like them to. For reference purposes, the other five star reviews are accurate. These cushions work and will not go flat. I was able to sit and study for 14 hours per day, only having to get up to eat or use the restroom. With that said, while I was able to study for 14 hours per day and my back did not get sore, but my posterior did get a little sore after sitting for a couple of hours and moderately sore after sitting for 14 hours.I think the problem was my size. I am 6' and 210 pounds. My weight just pushed into the walls of the cushion after sitting for a few hours, and I got the same feeling that you get when you have a sock that is bunched up underneath your foot when you are walking.Of the three Wondergel cushions I tried, this one was the most comfortable for me.With that said, I returned these cushions after a week. I found the two Comformax cushions and the Nova Ortho Gel Foam Cushion more comfortable and the the Comformax cushions were a little bit cheaper. One side note - out of all of the large cushions, I found this cushion the easiest to carry around because it folded easily and I could easily get it into my duffle bag.6.) Wondergel Doublegel Gel Seat Cushion NEW Model - 2"Please see the review of the WonderGel Extreme Seat Cushion. This is very similar to the WonderGel Extreme seat cushion but with more gel cushioning. Dispite the extra thickness, I still found the WonderGel Extreme more comfortable.7.) Wondergel Roll & Go - Gel Seat CushionPlease see the review of the WonderGel Extreme Seat Cushion. This is similar to the WonderGel extreme, but has a smaller footprint and is not as thick, so it is easier to carry around. This cushion significantly reduces the amount of pain you would experience if you did not have this cushion and it did allow me to study up to 14 hours a day, but my posterior was sore at the end of the day. This was the only cushion I could fit into my backpack and did not have to put it in my duffle bag. I was barely able to squeeze it into the laptop section of my backpack. If you are a student and want something that can fit into your backpack, this is your best option. As previously mentioned, while the cushion significantly reduces the pain and soreness on your posterior, my posterior was still sore at the end of the day. It just reduced the soreness enough for me to be functional all day. After a few days, I ended up returning the Wondergel Roll & Go and just decided to lug around the CONFORMAX "On the Go" in my duffle bag. This was despite a higher level on inconvenience of lugging around the CONFORMAX "On the Go" in a duffle bag versus of greater level of convenience of carrying around the Wondergel Roll & Go in my backpack.8.) Duro-Med Polyfoam Wheelchair Cushion, Poly/Cotton Cover, Navy, 3 Inch x 16 Inch x 18 InchDespite the large number of 5 star reviews from other reviewers, I found this item to be junk and would not recommend this item at all. After sitting on this cushion for 30 minutes, the cushion went flat. I can not recommend the Duro-Med Polyfoam Wheelchair Cushion.Summary:I found the Comformax cushions to do the best job of keeping my back and posterior pain-free. If you are on a budget, the Nova Ortho Gel Foam Cushion as the second best cushion and the best cushion for the price.
