Great value
Great deal for beginner tools
May 25, 2017
So, these aren't the best tools out there but, is that really what you're expecting for $25? For the price, these are great beginner tools. They are solid, come reasonably sharp, provide a good variety, and are INEXPENSIVE.

I am very happy with the arrival of the package before the specified period with high specifications and excellent quality and works with two faces
Would buy it again.

My wife bought this for me and I have not used it now...but does seems to be well built...I will post later if there are any problems with it.

Struck Gold!

I feel like I struck gold with these lovely bits. For the price, they are wonderful and came with a nifty storage case. I love them!
Did not get dull or lose shape when used on stainless steel
January 1, 2017
Have used a few different tips out of this set for holiday gifts and they worked very well. Did not get dull or lose shape when used on stainless steel, glass or leather. Very happy so far. I will update if I see any difference long term.
Great for sharpening wood working tools.
August 1, 2016
These bits are great for sharpening wood working tools and bits. That’s the first thing I used them for. I just marked the flats on a one inch bit. I used the marked flats as a guide, like sharpening scissors. It took very little time and cut better than when it was bought new. All sizes and shapes to sharpen the hard steel that most good cutting tools are made from. A real bargain when you have a plan for what you are going to use them for. I just gave you a great use for them. I haven't used them long enough to comment on their durability. You won't have to sharpen many bits to realize they have paid for themselves. Good buy.
Wonderful tools for cleaning up little spaces in wood carvings
April 24, 2016
I found using these with my Dremel was terrific. I use a CNC router to make fancy cribbage boards and there are a lot of nooks and crannies to be cleaned out. These little bits really work well for me. I also tried 3M Radial Bristle Disc Kit at a lot more money and it was a disappointment. These work much better for me. For samples see www,pioneervalleywoodart.com
Perfect for machining glass
April 2, 2016
These things are surprisingly effective at machining glass. I used them in a CNC mill (Haas VF-4SS) with a spring-loaded tap holder to grind four holes (ranging in size from .312 to .625 in. diameter) in a piece of glass. I was able to hold a reasonable tolerance (+/- .01 in.) considering it was glass, and with minimal chipping around the edges of the hole. Very satisfied.
Great for glass etching
February 5, 2014
I got these initially to work on wood and they do, however, purely by accident I discovered the work on glass too. I experimented on a beer mug I had and discovered just how nicely you can etch on glass with these as well. The glass I used was pretty heavy so I would be careful initially if you are using delicate glass but on something like a heavy beer mug they work very well. I just used them with my Dremel and created a personalized mug for someone and it took no time at all so if you have a Dremel and you enjoy home crafting I strongly recommend getting thee they are AWESOME!!!!@!

Very happy with the tools. They were not sharp of course so I had to sharpen them. They work very well as advertised. P.S. Still learning to carve.
Best for the price
June 22, 2016
Not really what I expected, but exactly what I paid for in quality. Good set to start with if you know how to sharpen a good edge. I like them, and they will work until I can afford a high-end set.
Seem to be good quality, but I haven't had them long enough ...
July 17, 2015
Would have given it 5 stars if they'd been sharp. I had to order a sharpening stone and they still aren't as sharp as I need them to be.Seem to be good quality, but I haven't had them long enough to give an honest assessment.
Product Review
November 1, 2013
These carving tools are not top of the line but do show a certain amount of quality in their manufacture. The edges were received sharp and ready to work with (though a bit more honing may be in order for some).. The metal band around the top keeps the chisel from splitting while the handle allows a firm grip.Though not suited for a professional woodcarver, they make excellent and inexpensive tools for a medium skill level.
Decent chisels that work
August 26, 2012
I've had them three days and the short of them is, they clean up with a nice edge, work and do what I need from them and they're decent pieces of steel. My biggest complaint are the compressed wood handles aren't really big enough for my hands to avoid damage when I'm using the mallet. I'm a tall guy, and have big hands, so if this is a concern for you, I suggest using bigger chisels. The small metal ring can pinch and on some of them it's very loose.

Very good bit set. Happy with my purchase.
August 10, 2017
I like this bit set, it has all the bits that I was hoping for. I used one for a project that I needed it for, and the bit held up well, and is still as sharp as when I started.
Nice little burr set for the money
June 19, 2017
Nice little burr set. Much smaller in real life then the picture would suggest. The case is not much bigger then 2 decks of playing cards.
Effective with Dremel for Wood Carving
May 25, 2017
These worked well with my new Dremel tool for wood carving. There are a lot of choices of different heads. The heads seem straight, and they are effective in clearing away material, and allowing for accuracy due to their size and points.
Great for soft projects
March 17, 2017
They are great for wood and soft materials but when I used them to carve a stone they wore down to nothing. The bits lasted about an hour each on the stone and did a good job until wearing away.
Works for what I needed
April 8, 2016
Worked for what I needed them too do. I will continue to get use from these
Decent Quality for the Price
March 22, 2016
These are not high-quality jewelers tools for fine work but they meet the needs of any hobbyist and perform almost as well as the really expensive tools. The packaging is annoying, but if you take them and toss them in a mug or cup they are accessible and you don't have to fight to get them out.

After a couple of hours of sharpening they do work pretty good. For the money
April 24, 2017
So let me start by saying I wasn't expecting much and got exactly that. Yes, they're chisels. No, they are not "ready out of the box". After a couple of hours of sharpening they do work pretty good. For the money, a good starter set but you had better plan on grinding and honing.
Ugh... sharp tools needed
November 20, 2016
Decent set, I have not used them as they did not come sharp and I have not had time to sharpen them up. However, construction looks good and they feel good in hand. Wish I could tell you more.
Even the finish of the steel isn't that bad. Cons
July 1, 2015
Pros: Handles are decently solid and the steel is straight. Even the finish of the steel isn't that bad.Cons: Forget sharpening, be prepared to grind yourself a new edge bevel and then sharpen from scratch.Altogether not a bad set, if you're willing to put the time in on the tips.
Once this is done they are a pretty decent tool
February 23, 2015
You must sharpen all chisels no matter what the brand is. For these chisels there is a lot more involved than just honing, especially the v-chisel. Expect to use a benchtop grinder to shape the v-chisel properly, and of course finish by honing a microbevel. Once this is done they are a pretty decent tool.

January 27, 2015
the chisels are sharp but the handles are not very sturdy and the rings are not secure. I would spend a little more money and purchase a set that is a little sturdier.
Nice, except.....
March 19, 2014
I received the carving chisels today. I had already drawn up my design and began right away. The blades themselves are sharp, perfect for my purpose, but withing the third pass the end of the wooden handle immediately chipped away. Now, i didnt expect too much for the price but i am very disappointed in the handle. I will not be returning the chisels as i can change the handles out, but i shouldnt have to. I would not recommending this product.

Doesn't really work for what I need it to work for. These aren't that strong. If you are trying to grind glaze off ceramics, do not bother buying these because they will not work.

August 22, 2017
They worked ok but they are kind of brittle. I used them for wood carving. I am keeping them but I know they wont last long for my use.
Good deal
May 16, 2017
For the price this set of bits will definitely do. If I get 10 or more projects done then they will have earned their keep. I believe that they will surely be up to the task.

June 24, 2015
Expect to get about 1-5 uses max from each head when drilling a hole in a tile. Make sure to use plenty of water when using otherwise the bit would not even make it through one drilled hole. I'm sure there are more uses to those but I primarily needed them to drill small holes in tile and for what they cost it's not a bad deal but expect to go through a lot of them.
Did not recieve 1/8" shanks
October 27, 2013
Can't use, doesn't fit my dremel because the shanks are too small. Bits are 3/32" not 1/8".Should work well in a standard drill but I haven't tried it yet.

I didn't expect to get great quality for this price
August 1, 2017
I didn't expect to get great quality for this price, but the finishing was abysmal. The "edge" on some of them was over a millimeter! One of the gouges was so misshapen it was easier to reforge it into a hoof pick than try to make it concentric. The steel is pretty good though, especially for the price.
Disappointed will not buy again
March 11, 2017
these chisels were not sharpened and feel kind of cheaply made.
Eh... No.
October 23, 2016
I mostly bought these because I knew they were cheap, s***ty steel and needed to have the ends re-done. I wanted some practice doing exactly that. The biggest issue with these is the angle on the gouges is off, so even when you can feel that the edges they gave are finally sharp enough by your hand, the angle is just wrong from the factory. You'd probably need to get the gouges professionally redone. As far as the straight angles, after I gave those an edge they work well. I am a beginner at woodcarving, but I admit I don't use these a lot because even after use the metal isn't strong enough to keep an edge. Probably a wasted $18. Better save your pennies and get some gouges one at a time from a reputable company if you even want to practice on a budget.
cheap starter kit.
September 12, 2016
I knew these were a cheap set of chisels when I bought them. I thought that I could get them sharp enough to do some basic carving. I was wrong. I tried for hours and just could not get these sharp. I am not a professional "sharpener" but have some skills but the tools are just cheap and would not hold a sharp end. I would recommend spending a little more for a quality set. It will be worth it.
They are very dull. Ive always been good at sharpening knives
June 11, 2016
They are very dull. Ive always been good at sharpening knives, but even with the grinder and hours of stone work four of the knives are still worthless and most of the other ones are not much better. I ended up spending a little more money and got a good set and thru these in the drawer.
Not high quality professional grade
February 14, 2014
Overall sturdy construction solid wooden handles, less than tool grade quality steel used. Poly vinyl case decent enough for shipment, however long term storage as I can foresee will be an issue. Manufacturing and quality control wasn't the highest concern as most of the tool blades were just shaped and grinded enough to get a near edge. I had to sharpen nearly all the blades just to get a decent cut out of the material without the blades jumping and marring the material or myself for that matter.Recommendations: not best used for the inexperienced carvers such as those just learning or students practicing.Hardwood carving is best suited for use with mallet only.Final thoughts are: decent product for the price point, best to put a few extra bucks into getting a better quality tool. These are nice to have as backup set in the event something happens to your primary set.

February 13, 2017
Ya get what ya pay for with these. I'd rather pay $25 for a single bur than have a wabbly, wonky bur. They are not strait. But I can see myself using them to rough out larager carving projects.
they seemed to dull quickly and became pointless
May 18, 2016
I'm not going to send them back, as I will keep them, but I bought these for wood carving. I was using them on pine and it didn't matter what speed I had my dremmel set at, they seemed to dull quickly and became pointless. They make great wood burning bits as that's about all I could get them to do. If you're using them on another medium besides wood, they may work well, but I was disappointed.
Cheap like the price
January 6, 2016
You get what you pay for. They don't last long but.... once the grit wears off you can still use them for making light lines. So they are not a total loss for me. If you are working with metal I would invest in much better quality.
Worth what I paid, which wasn't much.
January 8, 2013
I purchased these to use with my new dremel 200. I received them in a cheaply made plastic box, in which 6 or the bits were loose. The box doesn't hold them in place well, so I purchased a new case for them. No big deal there. Four of the bits were bent upon arrival.I was also sorely disappointed at how quickly they wore down. I did a small engraving on a glass drinking cup, and went through 3 of the bits to do so! I thought I had gotten a good deal, but quickly realized I got exactly what I paid for. They barely engraved glass or stone, and wore down after only a few minutes of use. If you're planning on using these on softer materials, they might get the job done. However, A quality diamond burr tip should have no problem with glass or stone. I will NOT be recommending these to anyone. Unbelievably cheaply made.

December 4, 2016
I bought these for my younger sister thinking they would be usable for simple beginner carvings. I knew I was going to have to dress up the edges but figured the steel would at least hold an edge for a little while...The don't. The metal was rough ground and full of burn marks, I gave up trying to sharpen it and refiled a completely new edge, the steel folded over on itself. Only a few of the profiles are even practical for use, I should have looked closer at the pictures. Spend the same money on a couple of gouges.
Horrible set of tools
June 23, 2016
Horrible set of tools. They are not sharp and have been ground completely incorrectly so that they don't even cut wood. It is obvious whoever made these has NO idea how a chisel works. Worthless purchase.
If you buy these buy a grinder too
August 22, 2012
not shaped or ground all the way. It's like they got the basic shape they wanted and quit grinding. I bought 2 different sets of "cheap" chisels and they're both dollar store quality. Horrible and cheap. Save your money. I expected somewhere in the neighborhood of usable chisels not professional quality because of the cost. but seriously they didn't even finished grinding the shape of the tool. The handles have a cheap rattly metal ring that I'd cut off if it was worth the effort.
Disappointed
March 9, 2011
I am quite disappointed in this item. As cheap import products go, these are really bad.I do not expect chisels to come sharp, and these chisels certainly arrived dull, so that is not an issue. But these chisels do not even have the shape and bevel of chisels you would expect from a set of carving chisels. The corners of the corner chisels are rounded. The bevels are all quite blunt, even for chisels that are intended to be pounded with a hammer. They will take a lot of work to before they are ready to use. There are blemishes in the steel. At first, I thought it might be pitting. However, further inspection leads me to think that these are impurities in the steel itself because more of these impurities show themselves while adjusting the bevel of the blade and sharpening them. The fit between the taper that looks like a socket (it is not a socket) and the handle is very bad. The steel is not cut consistently all the way around and there are visible gaps between the handle and the steel on every piece. If the gap were consistent all the way around, I would not have noticed, but the ragged edge of the steel makes it clear that the taper is cosmetic. Six of the chisels are fixed off-center in the handles, so that the steel is flush with one edge of the wood and the handle hangs proud on the other edge by more than 1/8". Another chisel is mounted in the handle at an angle of about 5 degrees. The chisels are securely mounted in the handles and it took quite an effort to pry one loose. Prying mostly served to bend the ferrule on the handle, which is an extremely thin piece of metal. The chisel appears to have been cemented into the handle, so this is good if it holds up to hammering. The cap ring is just a thin piece of metal bent around a wood shoulder. They all spin around the handle with little effort and a few will jiggle and cant. They are loose enough that will not keep the handle from cracking, but they might keep it from flying apart. It is made to look like this is a thicker piece of metal, but it is little more than foil. The wood of the handles actually looks pretty good by comparison. The grain looks as tight as hornbeam, so they might be okay. Only one handle has a small visible crack. A couple chisels arrived pre-chipped on the cap, but since they will get hammered on later, I am not going to complain. Too bad they messed up fairly good handles by drilling them so sloppily and gluing these poorly made chisels into them. The packaging is about as cheap as can be. The photo supplied is judiciously cropped to show only the chisels. Do not count on these coming in a usable pouch.I don't know if it is worth too much effort to sharpen all these chisels. The couple I have done have straight blades, but the gouges will take a lot more time to reshape. If the steel will hold an edge for at least some time, I might get $20 out of the ones I have done before they break or sharpen to the hilt. I would like to have a set of cheap chisels for those times when I need to carve out a piece of wood that just might have a hidden nail or will take more pounding than I care to afflict on my bench chisels. Given the quality of these chisels, I am still in the market for a set of cheap chisels. Calling these cheap chisels is an insult to cheap. So, "professional" these chisels are not. "Hand carving" they are not -- you will use a mallet on them, even after fixing the bevel. "Artist"? Maybe you can use these chisels as material in some modern art sculpture and they will be more useful than using them on wood. As I see it, they are not worth $20 and I cannot recommend them to anyone for anything.

Bought to sand away features on ceramic Christmas houses, but bit didn't even remove the layer of top paint, instead it left black marks and residue on the surface. Didn't work at all in sanding .
