Great whistle!

We live in the middle of ten acres of forest. Bought this whistle to snap him out of his squirrel induced trance and it works. No matter where he is and what he is into this whistle gets him back home.

I was skeptical, but willing to give it a try on my hyper active terrier pup. We hardly ever let the dog out without a leash because she would not come to us. She immediately responded to the whistle and was rewarded. 2nd day we let her out to run, when she wandered too far I easily called her back with the whistle. I'm impressed. The whistle also comes with well written and simple instructions.

Great product, use it to train my dogs. The free EBook with purchase will help. I am not a dog trainer, however the are responding well to the whistle. Thanks, I recommend this dog whiste for any begginer.

This is a great little whistle, it really helps me get my dogs to come inside and saves my voice. The dogs respond quickly. The ebook that came with it had really useful ideas. I checked many whistles, many prices were close, but this was the only one that offered any training information. I would recommend this product and seller.

I purchased this to help with my dogs constant barking. It works like a charm. I have started using it for other commands too. The instruction book is also help. Great product. Thinking of buying on for my husband too. This way we both have one.

anyone can here it and i thought it would be noisless but the dog could hear. verry loud but it does the job

It works just fine with my dog but the screw that makes the sounds move a little every once in while and I have to adjust it.

Works good, a little smaller than anticipated, sometimes the locking nut for the whistle tone gets loose and it fell apart once. Overall satisfied with product. Dog responds well.

Comes with PDF which I haven't read yet but I expect that this will be a good purchase. Now that I had received it and used it, I can say it worked for the short time I had it. Unfortunately, it fell apart twice and after the first time which was indoors, I made sure that it was tightened properly but that did not avoid another disattachment which occurred outside in the snow. The part was lost and so, I have requested a refund. The PDF instructions were okay and since many whistles had none, this was a plus for the product. I just wish it didn't fall apart so easily.

I really love this whistle, it seems to work on my barking dog during daycare. She likes to bark at strangers or join in with other dogs and it was becoming a constant problem, and the whistle seems to help deter her from escalating. She doesn't like the sound and will stop what she is doing. She usually goes back to barking after, but I think if I continue working with her I will get even better results. This is a training AID, you still have to do the work to get your dog to understand how to respond to it. The one thing I don't like is the other dogs ignored it and the whistle kept screwing off the lanyard while I was wearing it but it kept tight, it doesn't come loose. I would recommend this to someone whose dog's barking is out of control and they don't want to use a shock collar.

We bought this as a training tool for our stubborn dog. It was not as effective as we would have hoped. The whistle kept unscrewing, which was frustrating (but our dog did not listen anyway). We ended up using a different method.

Definitely NOT silent. Still, it works. Be careful of it coming unscrewed all on its own. Second day I lost it cuz it came unscrewed. Found it but just beware.

At this time, I sadly have to say I cannot review this product. I failed to read the instructions first, put the whistle around my neck, walked into the other room and it all fell apart. The small bolt that holds it all together, which I just now read is the core to this thing staying together, is lost forever. I didn't have an opportunity to try it.

It isn't really silent to me no matter how I adjust it. That said, I will keep it and work with my dog. I think it will do the trick, since the big issue with Evie is just getting her attention when she is focused on something else.

Personally my dog did not respond to this whistle, she'd still bark excessively. Oddly however she does respond to just a regular whistle so I thought for sure this one would work. I'm sure it works for some dogs but it just didn't work for my dog, she's a Papeagle.

No matter how often you tighten it, the knurled knob that is supposed to secure the tuning mechanism will come loose and the whistle will silently fall apart. And it will do that when you are out in the field so finding the fallen parts is virtually impossible. The accompanying literature, including the very good training guide the email separately, says anything anbout tuning or that the knob requires close attention at ALL times. I went through three of them before discovering a far better (albeit more expensive unless you count the first three as one) silent whistle made by Acme Specialist Whistles and is available at Amazon as Acme Silent Dog Whistle. So while I was able to train my puppy with this whistle, it just would not stand up to field work.

Lost the whistle, the first time, I took my dog for a walk. It came unscrewed from the base. Very disheartening. The 'clicker' works much better. Save your money on this item. Find a whistle that's a one piece item.

I purchased this to stop the 2 different neighbor's dogs from barking. The seller states the whistle will perform this exact function. It doesn't work. No ifs ands or buts, it just does not work. It did not work on either of the dogs. Also, no matter how I adjust the whistle it is always audible to me. I won't be returning it because I don't want to deal with a seller that outright lies in their description of the product.

Whistle worked for my dog for about a week. Now he just ignores me when I use it.

Good when it was screwed in, but it came apart TWICE. Very disappointing to look down and see no whistle or screw. The first time I went around the ground with a flash light and found both small parts. Second time they fell at the dog park - looking for both parts would be like looking a needle in a haystack. Worked well when it was in place, but what good is it if I can't depend on the thing to stay put!

Do not waste your money, The product is very poorly made, and falls apart before you can ever use it. I received a refund for the first one, and had a second sent to me. The same thing happened. Quite a disappointment with this poorly made product.

Well it's done, the end of the whistle finally came off ( see the photos )! For the last 5 months, since the day that I opened this whistle, I have had to screw the end piece back on each and every time that I had it in my possession or physically with me...in order to use it! No matter what, when I took the whistle along on hikes or on simple visits to the park, it seemed that the threading was not efficient and it would need tightened several times (almost slipping off multiple times) in order to work. This last weekend it finally came off without my noticing and I lost the end piece at the park! Not sure if this is how they all are but it was frustrating that since day one of owning this particular whistle I have had to be very vigilant to keep the parts screwed together so that I didn't lose a piece, rendering the whistle useless. Now I am looking at a useless piece of metal and a lanyard and I am very irritated by this whole situation. If you purchase one of these and you have a similar situation, don't wait and try to fight it to stay tightened because eventually you WILL lose. So it is my advice that you return it immediately before the return policy timeframe expires and hopefully you will have better luck!! I SHOULD HAVE RETURNED IT RIGHT AWAY! Now I must find another whistle, hopefully that doesn't need tightened over and over again so the parts don't fall off or need vigilantly watched and twisted multiple times during each use! Simply putting the thing In my pocket for 5-10 minutes was all it took for the threading mechanisms to begin to loosen. Very frustrating. Very disappointing. When it worked my puppy responded quickly!!

I have NEVER read a bad review from someone who was given the product free or discounted, ever. So buyer beware, and I sure hope you aren't just looking at the star ratings and taking them at face value, because Amazon has an entire system in place to facilitate this incredible conflict of interest!Why one star? Simple. This whistle is as audible as your kids recorder. It is adjustable, yes, but there is no position in it's screw-type adjustment that turns this into what the world would assume a dog whistle is: Silent. If you want to stand outside and whistle out loud at your neighbor's dog to try and encourage some peace and quiet, good luck. The owner will hear you just fine, and the rest of the block will too. At the park with your pup and want to do some training? Look forward to being the person everyone is grumbling about because you're running around the whole place whistling out of this thing for an hour. In short, it's high pitched enough that it is certainly annoying, but not so high that humans can't hear it too, making every use of this a trade off. Is the dog barking more or less annoying than the squeal and embarrassment originating from this device? Do yourself a favor and get something that works.

This whistle doesn't really work for the dog. My dog doesn't respond to any of the whistles and I read the guide they emailed you. Nothing. I tried all the settings, every which way to blow. she doesn't respond. Not worth the money .

Purchased this in hopes that it would help my Doberman stop barking. Waste of money. Not only did it not work but it's not as describe. Did not received the bundle and when paced on my keys it just fell off. Trash.

I thought dog whistles should be out of range for people to hear, but this whistle is audible to everyone in my house and does not seem to bother a dog at all. I bought it to try to stop the neighbors dog, it barks for hours and hours without stopping. Dog owners can be so rude! But I would not recommend this dog whistle as it does nothing to upset the dog.
