Five Star Reviews: | 49% Thumbs Up October 16, 2017 I recommend this processor. It perfect for me and at such a great price. Bowl is sturdier, thicker than my last Black & Decker (which was thin and flimsy, didn't l last long). A thumbs up! but it's WAY better than my first one October 15, 2017 This is my second food processor, so I can't compare it to many others, but it's WAY better than my first one. My first one was a joke compared to this. This is a real food processor and it's ridiculously cheap for how well it works. Although my first one stopped working after the first time using it, Amazon was quick to replace it at no charge. I'm pretty sure it came in one day rather than 2 and I still have plenty of time on my end to return the first one. My second one seems to be working how it's supposed to. I've made pesto, mayo, ketchup, and marinara in this and they've all been the perfect consistency. Highly recommend this food processor! (It is a little loud, but it doesn't bother me) Five Stars October 10, 2017 Works super, easy to assemble, easy to clean, holds fast to countertop, price was great, prompt shipment this is perfect. Couldn't have picked a better one or a ... October 8, 2017 I've been looking for the right one for a while and at a reasonable price, this is perfect. Couldn't have picked a better one or a better deal! It's large and works well for any chopping processing recipe I need. Top rack dishwasher safe and tucked away on my bakers rack until next use. Great investment if you have arthritis or any chronic pain issues. This saves a lot of time for larger or complex recipes especially this item is excellent in terms of performance and noise level September 22, 2017 It's a little tricky to figure out how to assemble it, but once you get used to it, this item is excellent in terms of performance and noise level. Love it! Just what I was looking for October 10, 2013 For this price, this little processor is amazing. Not too small, but definitely not bulky, this is a powerful machine, easy to clean, and gets the job done.Pros: easy to disassemble for cleaning, wide-mouthed container fits everything I've needed it to, suction cups (though sometimes annoying for moving it) keep it from jumping aroundCons: A bit loud (though, it's a food processor though, so really what else would you expect?), only has two settings: on and pulse- which work for me, but if you're looking for something you can fine-tune, this is not it.Overall- love it, it's been a great purchase. | 61% Saves me a lot of time June 4, 2017 This appliance saves me so much time. I don't have to waste several minutes chopping ingredients. Nice evenly minced ingredients takes my cooking to the next level. You need this food processor. Fantastic food processor. February 20, 2017 Fantastic food processor. Several small features on this one sets in about the rest. Great quality. Quiet even on high mode. Works for slicing and shredding on veggies! July 21, 2016 LOVEEEE IT!!!!!! I tried cutting meat with it, but usually the meat would be too soft or too solid to be cut. But cutting veggies are definitely working fine. Somewhat useful cuz im cooking asian food, and most of asian food i cook is strips not slices, but still a good product! Pleased With Cuisinart FP-8SV Food Processor June 25, 2016 I have only had a few uses to make cole slaw, and it did a great job. I have several Cusinart appliances, and I am pleased with all of them. This is one more appliance that meets all of my expectations. Love love love! April 13, 2015 Yes! Love love love! Just be sure to read the instructions carefully for first time use. In some places it doesn't specify, but you have to have the bowl locked and the lid on BEFORE plugging in. I went through two before I figured this out, I thought the power wasn't working on either one. Just GREAT February 28, 2015 There isn't a lot to say about this food processor and you know why? Because it just WORKS. It does its job the way you'd hope a food processor would do it (and yet my last two didn't…). It chops, slices and shreds as it should, it's easy to assemble and easy to clean, it's large enough but not too large, it's not super-cheap and it's not expensive!I am VERY happy with it! |
Four Star Reviews: | 21% I like this product and you get what you pay for October 2, 2017 I like this product and you get what you pay for. It has suction cup feet so it does not move around the chops on here are a little rough but again it's a cheap price so it's a good product for the price The Black and Decker is a terrific value for the price September 21, 2017 I got this to replace a small blender attachment food processor when it broke. Sometimes I don't want to haul out the much larger Cuisinart with all the attachments. The Black and Decker is a terrific value for the price. The motor feels very powerful, although it's a little loud. The parts and controls are very simple, so you don't have variable speeds, but it has a pulse button and does what it does very well. It's nice to have the grate and slice attachment, I immediately made a batch of guacamole and one of pesto, and they turned out great. Great little unit October 7, 2015 Great little unit. I wish the bucket was bigger but it works excellently. I only remove a star because the unit consistently has a hot plastic smell while its in use that hasn't faded. It does not seem to affect the unit and it doesn't get hot anywhere i can touch. It works well for fruit , veggies, sauces, whatever fits inside really. I think for the price its great for starting kitchens. Remember to pop the center out of the bucket when cleaning because little bits get stuck down there. This inexpensive food processor works just fine for me May 11, 2015 This inexpensive food processor works just fine for me. I don't use a processor all the time so I didn't opt for the high priced ones with all the bells and whistles. This Black and Decker does everything that I need done for a fraction of what I could have spent on one of those. But, let's face it, it is what it, no frills. It is loud and basic. But it beats doing food prep by hand for me. Does the job May 8, 2015 This honestly scared me the first time I tried it because it was so loud. After the initial shock, I noticed that it does a pretty good job. The reservoir is very large, but you might have to open the lid to mix up the food so it doesn't get too blended on the bottom. Also, the cord is extremely short, that may be an issue for some. Overall, it does a better job than I can by hand and saves me time. once I did I must say I was very pleased with it August 26, 2014 Read the instructions before using. Their is a particular way and order you must adhere to to get it working. The bowl handle must be aligned just so then locked into running position before placing the lid on and locking it into place so that you can run the motor. I'm not one for reading instruction manuals and at first I thought it was a defective product. Besides the initial learning curve of how to get it running, once I did I must say I was very pleased with it. It is a bit noisy though. | 14% ... duty as the kitchenaid I had but it works good! October 6, 2017 Not as heavy duty as the kitchenaid I had but it works good! Four Stars August 22, 2017 It works great for when I bought it for. However I did find it cheaper at Sam's Club Shipping and expectations were all met. April 30, 2017 My processor was promptly delivered, and so far has functioned well. |
Three Star Reviews: | 9% Not quite what I was hoping for July 13, 2016 I am very satisfied with this product with one exception. I didn't realize when I bought it that I couldn't let it run for extended periods of time (like 5 min straight). The instructions say to only run it for 1 or 2 minutes (I don't remember exactly how long) before giving it a break. When I tried running it for longer than 1 min, there was a burning type of smell. Issues with shredding April 23, 2016 I guess I got what I paid for. Not near the quality of the Hamilton Beach I had for over 20 years, of course nothing is made to last anymore. There is a 1/2 inch space between shoot and outside edge that catches cheese and veggies when shredding. End up using a knife to dislodge. Other than that one design flaw, it is working as well as a light weight processor is expected to. This does the job of a food processor, no ... May 21, 2015 This does the job of a food processor, no surprises there. However, it is extremely loud when on. TOO loud to the point where my ears hurt.I actually do not want to use it because it is THAT loud. Perhaps I should invest in some ear plugs when using it, especially since it's so cheap?? Seriously considering it now. If you have sensitive ears, stay clear! Hearing Protection recommended. March 16, 2015 This is a powerful unit for the price point, and it gets the job done. However, it's extremely loud. Any food processor is going to be loud, but this one is deafening. It's also hard to clean due to the shape of the bowl and position of the opening at the top. Storage is also a royal pain because the pieces can't all fit inside the bowl when not in use. For $28 it's not bad, but you get what you pay for. It's alright for awhile November 29, 2014 Worked for about a year or so. It was alright. Did what it was supposed to do. But, then the piece that holds the grating blade broke while I was grating cheese. I didn't pay that much for it, and I guess I got my money's worth out of it. Next time, though, I will spend a little more for a stronger built food processor. Does not last. Hard to clean lid. August 18, 2014 Bought one in Feb 14, and in 5 months it was broken. The plastic octagonal assembly that holds the slicer/shredder blade broke and sent the spinning blade sideways in the bowl, marring the housing. I was shredding zucchini, so it was not anything hard. Called B&D and was told parts were on backorder, but for $7.50 shipping they could send me a new unit. I argued it is still under warranty and they reluctantly waived the fee.We will see how long the replacement lasts.Other posters are correct, the lid is hard to clean. Food gets stuck between the feed slot and you have to use a thin knife to pry them out. | 6% I want an electric true to texture "guallo"! CHEAP,AFFORDABLE, NOT 350.00 AND UP! September 11, 2017 I wish it were bigger and less expensive. Will continue searching web til I find one that grates just like a "guallo" with pulp and particles intact. Not mush but grated. The first one didn't work at all. After replacing ... July 28, 2017 After taking apart and fixing the second one I received it is working. Not as reliable as it should be. Durability seems not to be the goal May 11, 2017 My biggest complaint is the quality of the construction; very flimsy. It does get the job done, but I'm sceptical as to how long the machine will last. My first reaction when I took it out of the was was , is this machine designed as a disposable product? You get what you pay for! January 15, 2017 You get what you pay for...certainly not a strong model for Cuisinart..blades are flimsier, hard to tell size of cuttings...the harder the vegetable, the more pieces are not accepted. Some is left unprocessed. The whole model is beautiful to look at, but performance is not great.Good to have as an extra but spend more for a higher performance. Center post is attached to the base September 5, 2015 This food processor works ok. The biggest problem is that the center post is attached to the base and is not removable. Every FP that I have ever seen has a removable post that can be properly washed. With it attached to the machine, you have to be careful when washing it because water can't get in the motor. This part comes in contact with food so it must be washed. Too light! April 7, 2015 Works good but is so light weight moves all over the counter.Never had that problem with my old Cuisinart. Why did you make it so light weight? |
Two Star Reviews: | 5% Missing part September 30, 2017 I was some what disappointed in the fact that when I recd the product I found I am missing the top lid that you put your food in to process it. How do I go about ordering the lid ????? I thought the suction cups on the bottom would be useful, but they actually work too well and make ... September 19, 2017 It's a tad bit too aggressive for my needs. VERY LOUD. I thought the suction cups on the bottom would be useful, but they actually work too well and make it very difficult to pull out of storage. I can only use it when I'm cooking on my own because of how loud it is. However the price is great for what it is November 12, 2016 extremely noisy and has just 1 speed which is deafening in puree status. Difficult to take apart before emptying contents. for the price it certainly does the job but for an item I would use very often this is not acceptable. However the price is great for what it is. Super loud, poor blending. May 2, 2016 Head up: This machine is SUPER LOUD!! using it at night... your neighbors may take issue.. (true story:))The blades do not connect/disconnect easily. We bought it for minimal use, it kinda gets the job done though not well. Fine chopping/blending requires patience (Ear plugs) multiple stirs and shakes etc. to get the job done.Don't recommend to frequent use A cheaply made and useless product December 29, 2015 I am extremely disappointed with this food processor. First of all it holds only 6-cups at the fill line, not 8. The design is terrible. The blades can barely process something as soft as beans for hummus. It's just a question of when it will break and I'll buy a better one. I will say that the suctions cups on the bottom work so well I can barely pull it off the counter. Loudest item in my house or driveway. March 17, 2014 I'm not kidding when I say it's louder than my 5.7L hemi. When I first turned it on the cat darted out of the room and my girlfriend covered her ears. I quickly dropped in a carrot and some other vegetables which it sliced evenly and quickly. I quickly shut it off and haven't used it since. I'm in awe at how loud this is. I can't believe they sell this product without earplugs and a decibel warning sticker. I've heard quieter trains. | 5% which is great for zucchini December 22, 2016 I bought this because of the blade recall on a Cuisinart I have owned for a long time. I actually sent this back and bought the DLC-10SY. This one is very loud, there is no way to hold onto the blade when you are removing the contents of the bowl, it does not have the smaller feed tube inside the larger one, which is great for zucchini, cucumbers, mushrooms, etc. The base is very lightweight and the bowl and cover are top rack only.If you afford the extra money, get the DLC-10SY, you won't be sorry. Two Stars December 4, 2016 The bowl has to be hand held to prevent it from turning and thus turning off. Don't waste your money September 3, 2016 If you've had Cuisinart processors in the past, do be aware that this is not the workhorse you're probably used to. There's hardly a piece of metal on it. It's entirely plastic and all its parts are light-duty, low-use plastic versions of what you've seen on other machines. Don't waste your money. Get one of the heavier duty machines. They aren't even that much more expensive. Skinny Blades June 10, 2016 The blades are about a third of the width of my old 8-cup Cuisinart. I didn't notice until I processed a crust recipe in this new one and it took more than a minute to process. With my old 8-cup Cuisinart, the wider blades could process the same recipe, same amount in about 15 seconds. Very disappointed. What happened to choices like chop, puree May 11, 2016 I have owned two Cuisinart, both were 4 cup size. This is not the Cuisinart I know. To begin there are only three controls: on, off, and pulse. What happened to choices like chop, puree, etc. I also find the feeding to tube to be too large and when inserted foods are inserted using the slicing blades, it doesn't work on smaller pieces of food. On top of everything else, it was much more expensive. It is alright for chopping, but almost worthless for anything else.Is this the same Cuisinart Company, or has someone bought them out and overdosed on cost cutting? Corporations don't seem to understand that people want quality and value, whereas most American companies seem to be interested in maximizing their profits. Doesn't anyone remember when Detroit adopted that mentality in the 70s and opened the door to the Japanese manufacturers who stressed quality control and soon dominated the market. What has Milton Friedman wrought? No where near as good as my old one January 18, 2016 I owned the Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor for almost 10 years before the prep bowl started to crack where it connects to the base. I did some research and realized it would be a better value to replace my entire processor rather than just buying a new prep bowl. My boyfriend said he wanted to replace the appliance for me as a gift. God love him, instead of buying me another DLC-10S Pro Classic like I wanted, he bought me this model instead. I feel like the base and prep bowl are made of cheaper materials than the DLC-10S Pro Classic. The mouth is also not as wide as the DLC-10S Pro Classic so I have to cut things up into narrower pieces to fit them through the feeding tube. Also, it feels like the motor isn't has high-powered as the one in the DLC-10S Pro Classic. Lastly, I use my food processor to make pizza dough a lot and flour flies out of this one between the lid and the bowl ALL THE TIME and gets all over the base. This never happened with my DLC-10S Pro Classic. The DLC-10S Pro Classic is still available on Amazon today (1-16-2016) and WELL WORTH the extra investment. To me, the only benefit of the FP-8SV is that it looks better on my counter top. |
One Star Reviews: | 16% It doesn't work! January 26, 2017 I was very excited to use this food processor for the very first time. I plugged it in, and there is no power coming from it. I tried three different outlets, and no luck. The blade worked fine, but the plastic lid suddenly started getting stuck ... November 5, 2014 This lasted three months. The blade worked fine, but the plastic lid suddenly started getting stuck and broke when I tried to open it (after food went in). No good. You get what you pay for... January 13, 2014 I've had this food processor for 9 months and hated it from the first use. It's extremely loud, difficult to assemble (too many parts), and not very powerful in it's chopping. It takes a long time to puree something smooth during which time you're smelling the motor and needing ear plugs. I do not recommend it unless you just need a rough chop and are already partially deaf. | 14% This product does not work. many phone calls to ... November 8, 2017 This product does not work. many phone calls to Cuisinart have failed to correct this problem. Please send postage free return label via snail mail as my printer does not work.Roberta Ross bobbeeross@aol.com Doesn't Chop. October 29, 2017 Pass on this one unless you want to manually dice everything before you use it. I only use a food processor to chop, and this unit just doesn't feed veggies down to the blades. You end up with puree at the bottom and un-chopped food at the top. The only way around this is limit the food to about 25% of the bowl, or chop everything relatively small by hand first (but then what's the point of having it). I wished I had saved the box. This would be going back. One Star August 30, 2017 I bought one and it completely stopped working eight months later. Very dissatisfied. Bought this product for a friend. After just one ... August 10, 2017 Bought this product for a friend. After just one use, the food processor stopped working. Had to return product back to Amazon. Poor design quality June 27, 2017 This does not grate well, good ungrated sticks around the top edge of the plastic cover. It's makes A lot of noise and and isn't a good model compared to the 14 cup or older model 11 cup pro. Pay a bit more and get a better model. One Star March 7, 2017 Disappoint, didn't work when he received. Exchanges and second one didn't work either. Disappointed |

Problem with sizes
According to your review, the Cuisinart is 366 inches by 720 inches. That's not even going to fit in my driveway, much less my kitchen.Problem with sizesUSA
