| ... this heater for over 2 years and it is great. I have read that others have had problems ...April 1, 2017 I have had this heater for over 2 years and it is great. I have read that others have had problems with the unit shutting off and I found out the solution, when the units dish becomes a little dusty I took off the metal front and wiped the inside of the dish clean with a damp cloth and put the metal front back on (3 screws) and it works just fine. Once I saw this I decided to try this and it is better as you can angle it better. It also has the added bonus of being able to set a timer so as it will turn off after a certain amount of time, the other one didn't have this option. Overall I think it pumps out a little less heat but because you can angle it down further it doesn't requite you to stand on tips toes and raise your hands above your head to feel anything. Overall, good purchaseDecember 18, 2013 This is a great heater that provides targeted heat when you don't want to heat up your entire house. I use it every day when I work from home and it makes the area so much more comfortable. The oscillating function and remote control are nice bonuses from the last space heater that I replaced. This way when the heat is starting to burn one area or the heater wasn't facing the right way, you don't have to get back up to tweak it just a little bit. The only slight downside of this heater (which is actually a safety feature) is that it is super sensitive to turning off if it is tipped over. If you pick up and move the heater, it thinks it's being tipped over, or if you have a half the heater on an area rug and half on the carpeting, it won't turn on because it thinks its being tipped over. | | | | |

| I needed more tilt...May 31, 2017 I needed this to tilt down toward the floor (for special reasons). The plastic is molded so that this is impossible. It heats fine and for most uses would be great as a radiant heater. It just did not work for my intended purpose because the tilt has a very narrow tilting range. Gets nice and warm if your'e sitting close by but the ...January 3, 2017 Gets nice and warm if your'e sitting close by but the tilting angle is severely limited to tilt upwards and I can't even get to a 90 degree front facing position for use on a coffee table or counter height. It works good if your use case allows for it to be on the floor since the heat is highly directional and you can tilt it upwards to warm not just your feet. | Don't do it!March 23, 2017 The heater worked great when it worked. But then the warning light suddenly came on one day and that was the end of that. This happened within the 1-year warranty period, so I shipped it back to the manufacturer in Anaheim, CA ($54 shipping which they didn't cover, with a required $24 check enclosed for return shipping--which was altogether more than I paid for the heater in the first place). Weeks tick by, repeated phone calls., "We're out of stock"…"We have no record of you"…. God only knows if I'll ever get it back. I wouldn't buy this heater again. Presto makes a great Heat Dish which we've had for years. That's what I'd order if they sell it on Amazon. Optimus not OptimalMarch 28, 2015 I bought this heat dish hoping it would be like my family's Presto Heat Dish, which puts out a lot of heat. In looking at the wattage, this one is better at 1200 watts, however it puts out 1/2 less heat on the highest setting. When sitting a foot away from the Presto, you can't stand near it due to it being so hot. This one seems like the inner coils aren't heating up to full capacity. Unfortunately, I missed my window to return this. I highly advise people to pay the extra $20 or so and get the Presto. You won't be disappointed as I am right now. Insert sad face. | You'll likely regret buying this heater.April 22, 2017 It's a great heater when it works, but like so many other reviewers, mine shuts itself off constantly because it's overheating or thinks it is. Either way, it's a major design flaw. I've only had it for 6 months, but the return policy is useless. Any replacement heater would probably have the same flaw, so I basically threw money away. It's a bummer. I love this heater when it works.
